Q: Windows XP Ran AVG8 restarted now windows won't load fully

Sorry about the post in the wrong forum I recently ran a virus scan with AVG on my windows xp and the scan went perfectly well and it healed everything It did this all automatically and then said it needed to restart I restarted the computer and it loaded windows but it seems to be stopping in the middle of starting windows It Windows restarted XP fully AVG8 won't load now windows Ran shows my Windows XP Ran AVG8 restarted now windows won't load fully wall paper but it does not bring up any start menus or icons I left it alone for about an hour and it did nothing I took a look at the task manager and it seems like it's trying to load but something isn't letting it I like to think of it as a skipping record At least that what it looks like when I take a look at the CPU usage I tired to do a system restore but it seems to do nothing I actually tried this on more than one occasion and the second time I only saw one restore point and it was a point that was when my computer was not working I Windows XP Ran AVG8 restarted now windows won't load fully know that's not super technical but I did get the dds log Unfortunately I don't have my XP disc anymore my old room mate stole it I did recently try to update zone alarm and that's really when things started getting strange I was able to get things back to normal at least what I though was normal when I did the virus scan Windows XP Ran AVG8 restarted now windows won't load fully DDS Ver - Preferred Solution: Windows XP Ran AVG8 restarted now windows won't load fully

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/directdownload.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

A: Windows XP Ran AVG8 restarted now windows won't load fully

I fixed the problem and now I have windows loading correctly but I want to make sure everything is fine. Are there specific programs that need to run at startup when I look at my msconfig tool? I see a lot of stuff that looks crazy and I can't tell if it's something that is a problem or not. I ended up finding my fix for the previous problem here http://www.annoyances.org/exec/forum/winxp/t1117849180. I don't know if I am allowed to post that link but if it helps someone else out great. If not then I guess tell me to delete it.

Well windows was updating and i restarted because of an emergency and now the applications wont load. Explorer stops responding. Winamp opens after 10 minutes. Tried running sfc scan but it didn't help? What do i do?

A:Restarted during Windows update and now applications won't load

Ok now i decided to do a repair installation but every time i click on setup.exe it never starts and just keeps loading. Restarted in safe mode and the setup runs but it says that i cant do a repair install in safe mode. I then go to msconfig and do a selective startup. Setup starts but i get an error "Windows cannot determine the hard disk". So frustrating? Any way to do it?

Hi, My wife's HP computer will not fully load all items in the system tray, it is on a wireless network connection that connects to this computer but on start up it will not load the connection icon, it was fine yesterday, also will not load the speaker icon, it loads Avira and win patrol and that's it.
Also should state that the USB mouse froze up while she was using the computer, I shut it down and changed the mouse, now I have the problem stated above.

Running XP home SP3

A:Windows will not fully load

Try running the chkdsk /r command (first)...followed by the defrag function....to see if it's merely a question of file maintenance being needed.

A:Windows Won't Load fully

You could try going into the Bios and setting the date back a few days on the Standard Setup screen. This may fool Windows into thinking the trial period hasn't expired yet.

Install IE8 if you haven't got it already. Too much crap installed causes problems. Get rid of everything that has the word "toolbar" in it.

My friend's computer was infected in exactly the same way as the guy in http www techsupportforum com showthread php t I downloaded load fully Windows up won't a new anti virus program called NOD scanned the system and it removed the Virus Burster program I Windows won't load up fully then tried to uninstall the original installer which was called Windows won't load up fully VideoCompressionCodec which first made me reboot but then allowed me to uninstall it from the Control Panel I then realised that I was still getting popups for some dodgy dating agency and discovered that they were being generated by a program called quot Windows won't load up fully Public Messenger v quot Trying to uninstall this it made me go through the same rigamarole as the previous time but this too said it had uninstalled correctly requiring a further reboot to complete Meanwhile the NOD seemed to be conflicting with the Google Desktop Search which she had installed a while back for some reason so I decided to uninstall that too Unfortunately it wouldn't let me do this just popping with a message quot reboot now to complete installation quot When this hadn't worked I looked through the google help pages where it seemed to be a fairly common problem typical google and after suggesting several things they said the only remaining option was to remove it manually by deleting the registry keys directly which I proceeded to do using regedt for the first time ever This hadn't seemed to work as the Desktop Search program was still launching every startup so I decided to delete every key in the registry with the word google on it as well as every program file So It was just after I had done both these things attacked the registry and uninstalled Public Messenger v that I rebooted for what I hoped would be the final time Everything seemed ok the welcome screen displayed the background wallpaper appeared and then nothing No icons no start bar Just the wretched wallpaper I am able to launch the task manager using Ctrl alt Del and i can run utilities from there such as msconfig but if i try running explorer I get the briefest fleeting impression of a start bar and then nothing Same if i try and launch explorer from command prompt which does launch I've tried system restore but it goes the whole thing before saying that it can't restore because nothing's changed I've tried safe mode but exactly the same thing happens except without the blasted wallpaper So did uninstalling the various trojan installers popup merchants etc lead them to destroy my system as a fond farewell or did deleting registry keys in the google section mess the system up More imortantly how can I fix this Please help Harry

tap f8 when booting and from the options try

Lately when I boot my computer opens, but it doesn't connect to the internet and my icons do not appear in the tool bar. This forces me to do a hard shut down and reboot (restart just hangs up and never restarts). Has anyone experienced similar problems or is this unique to my five year old PC?

Ok. Heres my problemo.

When I turn the computer on,windows starts loading with that blue bar going across the screen but it freezes about half way through loading and it just stays like that.

So, I went into safe mode and I tried system restore so I can get things like they were a few days back. However, I choose the date I want to go back to but the "next" button wont work. I click it and nothing happens.

So can someone please please tell me how to fix system restore or give me a completely different idea on how to get windows not to freeze up. Thanks a lot, appreciate anyone who can help.

I recently began having an issue with my computer where websites do not fully load the content. Images are the main thing that I notice. Sometimes the full image will not load and sometimes the image looks garbled. I can refresh the page multiple times and sometimes it will load. This happens across all browsers. I have used multiple network adapters and through various troubleshooting, I have come to the determination that this is software related. I'd rather not format/re-install Windows, so I'm hoping there is a solution.

I am running Windows 7 64-bit and I mainly use Chrome for browsing.

Please help me resolve this. Thank you in advance for any help you can provide!

Hi fellas
I'm not an expert at all so please guide me out in detail. I own a Dell Inspiron 15R laptop with 4gb RAM and 1TB hard disk with roughly 715gb of free space. When i boot the laptop, it takes me roughly 15+ mins to reach the administrative password screen and additional 5 to 10 mins to reach the desktop. I dont have any viruses according to my McAffee scans and nor do I have too many heavy softwares installed (only Adobe's photoshop, after effects and premiere which could be called heavy). What's wrong? I'm tired of figuring it out and tech babble on most forums wore me out.. Please help urgently!

A:Windows 7 takes 20+ minutes to load fully

Hi, I've seen this problem with a heavily Malware infested computer.
Note: that McAfee does not catch everything, No Antivirus does.

Next possible cause is the hard drive going bad. To test the drive since it is a Dell.
Turn the computer on and when the Dell logo appears start Pressing F12 and choose Diagnostics from the device startup menu. You can run memory and hard drive diagnostics from the diagnostic partition that way.
More Detailed info here: http://www.cs.utexas.edu/~deke/laptopsupport/manuals/d600/diag.htm

Next possibility, Bad memory being excluded from use by the BIOS or memory that just isn't there. Are you sure you still have 4Gb?
When the Dell logo appears Press F2 for the BIOS setup and see how much memory is showing.

Also a Non Dell AC adapter can cause their laptops to run slower.

Good Luck
Roger

A friend of mine has a HP envy and when she turns it on it goes to the light blue screen and hangs there.  No cursor or anything.  After a few minutes it just powers down.   She said the issue started after the latest windows 10 update. I tried rolling it back prior to the last up date and no joy.  Theres 3 possible restore points but each one states theres a file that cant be changed and restore didnt work properly.  I thought it might be a boot issue so I ran the various boot file rebuild commands and managed to pull her windows 8.1 files.  I tried booting into 8.1 and the same issue happens.  The light blue screen then power down.  She also has bit locker in case thats a concern

Dear Tech-head supermeisters,

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I had a shop format my HDD (as I couldn't get the Windows XP Pre-installation Evironment to get past the bars at the bottom bit to get to the options screen). I now boot from the recovery CD-ROM and get the same hardware check and then Starting Windows Pre-installation Evironment... message as before and when the white bar has covered all the bars at the bottom of the screen, the computer stops moving forward and the screen goes blank instead of booting into XP and giving you options as I understand it should. Same as before I clean formatted the HDD. What's holding XP up? Any answers greatfully received as I am ready to trash this hunk of junk and go spend some money I haven't got.

I m thankfully able to post this from In Boot Now Fully. Windows Load Mode. Alert, Virus Unable To Won't Safe my Mac as my PC has died which I shall now explain I m running XP Professional with SP and was watching a video online from sidereel com in FireFox when my security centre popped up an alert telling me my automatic updates were turned off I fired up my Ad-Aware to see what was what and my computer died Upon rebooting the security centre told me the firewall and auto updates were now turned off despite the firewall being on in the actual security centre my Command Anti-virus then popped up telling me I had an infection of which the file was listed as quot TDSSNPUR DLL quot and from what I can remember of the other info it said quot W quot Virus Alert, Unable To Boot In Safe Mode. Now Won't Load Windows Fully. quot trojan KA I think quot - sorry this can t be more specific but I ll get to that in a jiffy The alerts were popping up very quickly and with the same details I then attempted to re-boot in safe mode to run malwarebytes or to have a look and see if I could manually delete it but safe-mode just loaded up a blank screen and froze I then tried re-loading windows after finding this forum in the hope the alerts would pop up again and I d be able to give you more details Unfortunately my toolbar on bootup seems completely useless and won t load at all - not even to shut down the computer Thanks in advance Virus Alert, Unable To Boot In Safe Mode. A:Installed Windows Service Pack 3 Now Windows won't load past Windows Boot Load Screen

Hi sirdanceal0t,
I had a similar problem when Windows XP SP3 was released it was only designed for Intel processors, so if you have a AMD processor it will cause your system not to load, if you are running a AMD processor if i were you try and get back to the System Restore Point or if that fails reimage your pc and just before installing SP3 looks for the patch/fix for your processor model, then install SP3 and it should all be fine.

On the other hand if you have a Intel processor i woulldn't know what to advise.

Now that this has been posted over at WC this has been something that a bunch of people for months have been working on and although I am not a programmer I helped out as much as I :) Windows 10 Center now on with fully Media Windows working guide could So testing this the install comes from build with a handful of patched files and after installed if you live outside the US you should get guide data as that comes right from your provider In the US our guide data is pulled from Microsoft that gets it from Zap it but now is ROVI The thread is here for people who want to follow the progress You need to register to view the thread fully DISCUSSION Patch WMC to run on Windows final amp possible alternatives I know a bunch of people who have this installed but not sure anyone from the US has guide data working or not If you installed this as listed directions here Here is how to install Media Center on Windows Windows Central You might see this error during TV setup If you see this error it seems to not setup guide data so you will never have guide data from what I have seen Windows Media Center now with fully working guide on Windows 10 :) I tried isos WITH WMC version all the way back to build and I still get the same error For those who tried it does anyone in the US have guide data working

A:Windows 8.1 PC restarted for no reason ???

If there are no Blue screens or dump files it must be something on hardware side, temperature or PSU. If it happened only once or rarely it's nothing catastrophic. It could be a short power blink or brownout also. You could use a program like CPUID HWmonitor to monitor temperatures and voltages.

If you are still able to log-on to Windows I wouldn't concern yourself with it.
Turn it off overnight if it bothers you, it was probably just a simple "glitch" that made Windows restart.

Hi,

I have AVG 8 Security Suite. I also have a permanent red warning sign in the taskbar from Microsoft saying "AVG Malware reports that it is turned off". It gives me the option to turn it on, but it won't.

Meanwhile, AVG user interface reports that everything is working fine. As if to prove the fact, it told me that I have a rootkit, but the rogue fle was hidden. And that was all. As far as I know, I still have the rootkit. It downloaded with a small program I downloaded from the Internet. There doessn't seem to be any paticularly weird behaviour on the computer, and AVG is now not picking up a rootkit. But I really don't understand it all. I am one of those awful "novices"! Know very little about computers. Can anyone help, please?
Thanks

Every time I restart my computer the reboot takes forever and eventually loads windows with a message "windows ran into a problem and restarted" and asks me to send the info to MS.

I would like to post my logs so I can get some help but am not sure how to get em. Can someone help me with that step so I can hopefully get to the cause of the problem?

Thank you!

So, apparently, it does get started up. You might try to fix by using automatic repair (may need to run multiple times--say 3)

Hi
I have an HP windows 7 computer with symantec antivirus on it. Today my wife had clicked accidentaly on one of those "your computer is infected things" - i did not witness it in person so i dont know more than that. Anyway, symantec was promptly disabled from what she tells me and now i cant restart it and i cant even restart it in safe mode. So one question, how do i get that back and 2. how do i remove or find whatever it is that has invaded our computer? sorry for the vagueness of my question, but its all i know at this point.

thanks

My question is can this damage the laptop when starting up for first time then restarting because of windows update. I'm a bit worried because the laptop is fairly new

A:each time after start windows normally pc gets restarted....

Hello sushmit and welcome to Seven Forums.

I would try running a System File Checker scan from an elevated command prompt (option two.) If problems are found run the scan 3 times rebooting in between each scan.

SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

If this doesn't help you may want to consider a Repair Install. This will try to fix your currently installed Windows 7 and preserve your user accounts, personal data, programs, system drivers, etc. Usually the most major problem after a Repair Install is you'll have to visit Windows Updates and reinstall updates.

Repair Install

Hii i posted a topic before but did it wrong so ill describe the problem to you again.

My brother accepted a file from a friend and did a virus scan which said it had not found any viruses on the file.

He then opened the file and then was notified by friends of some file being sent to them which i think is under the action of the virus.

Everytime i open Windows Messenger, in the C: drive where the folders of Programme Files and others, a Notepad file named "msn" will appear there which i think has something to do with the virus?

When MSN isnt opened the file doesnt appear there so im guessing it only affects MSN.

Please could you advise me on what to do next.

Thanks.

Sorry about before.

I've been having an issue with Windows Explorer when it's restarted. If I restart Windows Explorer, My Computer, My Documents, and Recycle Bin will not respond at all. If I try to move, copy, or delete a file it will just hang up and not respond.

I don't have any of these issues when Windows Explorer runs the initial time after turning on my PC or login/relogin to an account. But if for some reason I need to restart Windows Explorer, I might as well just restart the PC or log out & back in of my account because these issues will just crop up.

I also notice when I restart Windows Explorer, the initial explorer.exe process remains open in Task Manager and will not end no matter how many times I click end process on it.

A:Issues with Windows Explorer when it's restarted.

Not sure what you are talking about...explorer.exe is a basic Windows process...it's always running on a system without problems.

If you are getting error messages that explorer.exe has stopped...please post the exact error message.

A problem with explorer.exe is a problem with Windoes core files.

Long story. My work computer crashed recently and just got it back today. I updated my main quoting tool which is 2020 worksheet and the computer after the update said I had to restart my laptop. I closed all of my programs on the laptop and the. Restarted the computer. Instead of opening the regular welcome screen in which I would normally log into, it took me to a screen in which to select a language setting for a windows 7 installation. I had used the laptop previously to this for several hours but trying to close the screen causesd my computer to restart and brought me back to the same screen. Any ideas? Why would it do this?

Hello, I have a Compaq Presario CQ56 with Windows 7. I ran Microsoft Security Essentials, went to work, came home and the computer is on the home screen (?) and flashes a quick black screen. The longer the computer is on, the shorter the flashing screen intervals are.
I have tried F keys and am only able to bring up Safe Mode, Safe Mode with Networking and SafeMode with CMD, but NONE of these work and the computer does the same loop once loaded.
I have tried accessing all F keys and none bring up a BIOS or Sys. Recovery. I Have tried removing the battery and power and holding the power button.
ANY help/suggestion will be greatly appreciated. I have to complete some coursework and need the computer asap.

I started up my laptop after not using it for about two weeks, and it was acting a little glitchy (not letting me click on desktop icons, minimize windows, and the keyboard was lagging) so I restarted it using the options in the start menu and it turned turned and immediately restarted into Windows Boot Manager. However, none of the keyboard options were working and it wouldn't let me select any way to get past the screen, so I tried to force a restart by holding down the power button because I know nothing about computers and now it won't turn back on again. I don't have a reboot disc or an install disc so what are my options for getting my computer started again?

Basically my computer was pretty hung up by viruses so when need restarted, XP crashing restore system Windows keeps to I got ESET NOD and Malwarebytes paid versions and performed full max security scans on both This got rid of around - Then I noticed Malwarebytes was a little more successful in catching adware than NOD was so I ran another full scan just to be sure This time around it only found one threat something in the Windows XP keeps crashing when restarted, need to system restore system folder Ever since it prompted me to restart my computer my computer freezes immediately after I double click something if I click the start menu it also freezes However if I leave it idle I can see everything light up as I move my mouse over it which would show Windows XP keeps crashing when restarted, need to system restore that nothing has frozen yet It is only once I click something that it freezes Also I have this reminder to make my backup discs that I always click remind me later for lol and if that is the first thing I click and I have to do it quickly before everything loads then that will turn off normally but then it still freezes with anything else My computer never did this before that restart from deleting that virus and scans have showed no signs of any threats or infections besides this Now for how I get around it I perform a system restore to any date doesn t matter which after booting to safe mode I wait for everything to go through and for my computer to restart which takes awfully long and is extremely annoying because I can t forget to press f at the beginning Then I can use my computer just fine until I next restart it Also if I try to update my computer I need to restart afterwards therefore my computer crashes therefore I can t update because system restore will just undo it since it thinks installing the updates is what is causing the crashes - - So I wouldn t really mind this but I would like to turn my computer off sometimes and update it maybe and perhaps install a new program or two lol That s pretty much as detailed as I can get if anyone knows what is going on please help Here s the log from the scan Database version Windows Service Pack Internet Explorer AM mbam-log- - - - - txt Scan type Full scan C D E F G H I J K L M N Objects scanned Time elapsed hour s minute s second s Memory Processes Infected Memory Modules Infected Registry Keys Infected Registry Values Infected Registry Data Items Infected Folders Infected Files Infected Memory Processes Infected No malicious items detected Memory Modules Infected No malicious items detected Registry Keys Infected No malicious items detected Registry Values Infected No malicious items detected Registry Data Items Infected No malicious items detected Folders Infected No malicious items detected Files Infected c system volume information restore f e db-f - be -a - f ca bfb f RP A exe Hacktool CloseApp - gt Quarantined and deleted successfully

I had to restart a computer on our office network which uses Windows XP on Wednesday, September 17, 2014. Now I cannot access a file on a computer which uses Windows 8 unless I tell the Windows 8 computer to let EVERYONE access the file - which I don't want to do. A computer using Windows Vista on the same network has had no problems. I've created a new username on the Windows 8 computer and given the problem computer that name but still no access. I've enabled read/write file sharing and given the problem computer full access permissions but still can't get in. I removed all Microsoft updates that had been installed four days before the problem occurred on the Windows 8 computer and recovered the Windows XP system to the day before the problem occurred - still can't get in. Any ideas out there?

A:Restarted XP Computer, Now Cannot Access File on Windows 8

That would be correct. Or you would need to go into Advanced Sharing options on the Windows 8 machine and downgrade the security setting from 128 to 48/56. I always create a local user account on Windows 8 machines, if I am going to be sharing stuff across the network.

Otherwise it all goes on the NAS for our network, or a Own Cloud server that my brother hosts for the family. Then I never have to worry about networked computer share issues.

A:Computer restarted during Windows Easy Transfer HELP!

most likely you will have to take ownership of some files you cannot access at this time. see the following

http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windo...menu-in-vista/

if you had xp on the old computer (going by your profile) then some settings just may not work in win7 so you may need to manually do some adjusting.

as far as the error, we will need the exact error message.

You can always do a system restore point to a previously save restore point and try again.

Any ideas?

If you think it is AVG you can right click on the AVG icon by the clock and choose Quit AVG control center and then test and see if the programs work.

Also, will they run if you launch their executables from the command prompt? Ex type cmd and at the prompt type C:\Program Files\Program Name\program.exe

New computer with XP. All seems fine except for two web pages that I use a great deal, one of them is for my job. The page loads but appears with different colored graphics, that is to say the graphics are the same just different colors. When I try to open some of the reports I need the report will in fact open but most of the content is missing, just blank fields where the verbage should be. My company laptop uses XP as well and loads these pages perfectly. My old computer with 98 loaded them fine as well. I set my laptop next to the desktop and scrolled through all of the settings to see if anything was set differently....but all appears to be set the same.

I have the system set to accept all cookies, manually overrode the slider and checked both boxes to accept........made no difference at all.

You all have any suggestions?

Thanks

Hey, recently, out of the blue, I've been having a really odd problem. When attempting to launch several programs (the gimp 2.2 for windows, GAIM, and an Ultima Online client), they haven't been opening but simply loading up in memory (and not to their fullest extent, either). To see what was causing the problem, I ran the gimp 2.2 through OllyDebug to see where the loading stopped--turns out the loading simply stops on msctfime.ime. Any attempt to locate information on what this problem could be has come to no avail.

When I ran the Ultima Online client & GAIM through the debugger, mscms.dll comes up as the culprit. Even when I try to replace both these files--I come to no avail. It's not the file's that are corrupted.

Seriously, if anyone could help me out, it would be greatly apperciated .

When I open websites such as msn.com and even the tech support page some stuff isn't loading. There are spots where ?banners? (sorry but not very sure about what they're called) show up with little red x's in the corner or spots that say pages not loaded correctly (which is the case w/the main tech support page). I have adaware6, spybot, spysweeper, norton, and hijackthis so I'm not sure if one of those might have caused this or something else I may have done. I hope that someone might be able to shed some light on this situation. It would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance to all.

A:IE pages won't load fully

Those little red x's are called "image placeholders" and usually show up when either your browser or firewall are set to block some types of images. You can go to Tools/Internet options and on the Advanced tab, scroll down to Multimedia. Uncheck "Show image download placeholders" and then put a check in "Show Pictures"

You may also have to go into your firewall settings and make the same settings changes.

I am posting for a friend, so I do not know many specifics of his computer.

Had 256 mb RAM, and upgraded to 1 Ghz. (new RAM is kingston and same speed as old RAM.)

After the upgrade the BIOS recognized the new RAM and went to the XP load screen with the load bar. It then goes black and does not load to the desktop.

He has put in the old RAM, put everything in different slots, and every combination, same results with all of the RAM. Even the OLD RAM.

I suggested he boot in safe mode and that worked. But he cannot get it to boot normally.

I suggested he boot from disk and that did NOT work.

Suggestions?

Reset CMOS?

Now, this one might be a bit new or not, but I hope I can get some help on this.

It's my laptop, it runs Vista Home Basic. I have this one webpage I visited rather frequently on my laptop, and then one day it began to not load vital components on the webpage. It's a chatroom kind of webpage, and it would not load the text box where you type posts or the window where the posts were displayed, yet everything else such as the background and the advertisment banner on top would.

Even after an OS Reload and reinstalling adobe reader and player, it would still "load with errors". Obviously OS reloads usually don't solve everything, so I hope somebody can help.

A:Cannot fully load webpage

You don't say what browser you are using. Whatever it is, try a different one. Say Opera or Firefox or MaxThon. They don't take that long to install and put Abobe Flash on.

This started about three months ago. Wherever I go on the net, the webpages won't fully load. Sometimes only the background loads and then nothing. I refresh the page and then maybe the full page will load. This site loads only 13 threads and then stops loading. If the page loads longer than 5 minutes, I hit refresh. I gave up and decided to just post for help instead of searching.

I'm using Firefox 4.0.1 and am on dial-up.

If there's any info you need about my laptop, please let me know where to find it.

Thank you.

A:Pages won't fully load

Dial-up is going to take a really long time to load fully a page with a lot of graphics. People building web pages do not take into consideration people who still use dial-up. So they build web pages rich with graphics, which doesn't take very long to load if you have broadband but will take forever with dial-up. You will have to be patient or get DSL or Cable modem.

Hey everyone. I just installed wireless (linksys router w/ Netgear adapter) on my computer, and now, some pages won't fully open. For example, rottentomatoes.com is acting kinda screwy for me. The majority of the page will load, but some parts of it won't. For example, I see most of the images, but not all the tomatoes will load on the left side of the page. I've tried accessing this page with IE, Firefox, and Netscape, and I pretty much get the same thing. I've deleted my temp. files, my cookies, everything. Our other computer, which is not wireless, connects perfectly to rottentomatoes.

Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks,

Nick

A:Some Pages Won't Fully Load

Hey again. Another example of my problem would be with myspace.com. If you click "view all friends," only a few out of about 30 actually show up.

Hello. I waited for windows update to finish but it wouldn't go past ~57% for almost 24 hours. I then decided to take my chance and restart.
Now it won't start.
The windows 10 loading logo shows, then everything stops at a black screen.
I do not have restore points and startup repair doesn't find any issues.
Is there anything I could do?
Thanks in advance!

Every time I shutdown and restart I have to go into Options and turn off Tapping.
I must goto Settings -- Devices -- Mouse and TouchPad -- then:
Click on "Additional Mouse Options" at the bottom (grayed but still active)
Click on "TouchPad settings"
Click on "TouchPad settings" (the button) and turn off "Tapping"
Then click on "Apply"

I also clicked on the [reset device] button. (Did not seem to do anything, did not help)

A:Windows always reports IP conflict on startup, router often needs to be restarted

Sounds like a DHCP issue, something to do with an old IP lease possibly.

Rather than restarting your router, what happens if you do a release and renew? I'm assuming it works? In the meantime, if you set a static IP rather than relying on DHCP this would probably fix your issue, meaning you wouldn't be constantly restarting your router.

Also, include the output of an ipconfig /all when the IP clash occurs.

Completed a fresh install, formatted, windows 7 home premium all is fine until it goes to start services (setup is starting services) then the screen flickers and I get the message. "The computer restarted unexpectedly or encountered an unexpected error. Windows installation cannot proceed. To install Windows, click "OK" to restart the computer, and then restart the installation"

This then becomes and endless loop, I have started again delete partitions format let windows do it all and the same result, tried safe mode - no go tried repair no go searched internet for help tried some of that stuff with dos prompt- still no go.

Tested Hard drive with windows - no issues, tested with third party software no problems

Laptop originally come with Win7 and even tried to cheat and install xp but that also failed, thought if I could get xp on I could upgrade - but failed.

A:Computer restarted unexpectedly windows installation cannot proceed

You are deleting all partitions during the booted install to get it cleanest, and following the other steps for a Clean Reinstall Windows 7? Those steps assure you'll get and keep a perfect install.

If after doing those proper preparations it still hangs Starting Services, then first try entering Device Manager - Access During Windows 7 Installation to disable any erroring drivers shown there, and if that doesn't help try new installation media as discussed in Step 1 of tutorial

Hello.

I've just booted my machine, and after logging in heard the default sound that gets played when the computer is shut down. Obviously this isn't normal, so I checked the Event Viewer and found the following events.

Starting session 1 - ‎2012‎-‎06‎-‎03T09:12:20.323285600Z.

Shutting down application or service 'Windows Explorer'.

Restarting application or service 'Windows Explorer'.

Ending session 1 started ‎2012‎-‎06‎-‎03T09:12:20.323285600Z.

Has anyone else encountered this, and what does it mean? From a Google search, it looks like Restart Manager had to restart Explorer for some reason. I can't figure out why, though.

Thanks.

You have a Trusted Store Tamper - often caused by malware...
Please download and install Malwarebytes Anti-malware (free version) from Malwarebytes | Free Anti-Malware Detection & Removal Software - UNtick 'Enable free trial of MBAM Premium' at the end of the installation - and update it, then run a full scan in your main account, and Quick scans in any other user accounts.

Quarantine everything it finds

Then...

Please first try recreating Licensing Store.

Go to Start > All Programs > Accessories
Right-Click on Command Prompt and select Run as Administrator - accept the UAC prompt
Run the following commands in the Command Prompt window, using the Enter key at the end of each

net stop sppsvc
(wait until the service has stopped before entering the following lines)

CD %windir%\ServiceProfiles\NetworkService\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\SoftwareProtectionPlatform
REN tokens.dat tokens.bar
net start sppsvc

After a couple of seconds the Windows Activation dialog will appear.
You may be asked to re-activate and/or re-enter your product key, or Activation may occur automatically.
If you are asked for your Key, use the one on the COA sticker on the machine's case

Reboot and Post back with a new MGADiag report.

Hello First time poster here So I'm using the latest version of Firefox on Win XP These are not new developments I've been using them for quite a while Recently I switch my ISP to clearwire and that's when this problem started not sure if it's related or not Whenever I try to load any videos youtube ebaumsworld etc they begin loading and then stop abruptly about of the way in When I refresh the page and try to re-load the video it doesn't even start over It just hangs and does nothing until I navigate away Videos won't load fully [SOLVED] from the page and come back wherein it repeats the above problem I've tried disabling any firewalls All download managers are uninstalled I've also tried to uninstall and reinstall adobe flash but that doesn't work either In fact on some pages i'm still [SOLVED] Videos won't load fully told I don't have the latest player even though I've uninstalled reinstalled the damn thing about ten times When I set up my Clearwire internet I [SOLVED] Videos won't load fully had to troubleshoot with a tech support person over the phone and we changed some stuff in my network connection [SOLVED] Videos won't load fully settings They didn't seem too important so I took little notice of exactly what we were doing but we got the internet to work just fine except for this stupid video thing Any help Thanks

A:[SOLVED] Videos won't load fully

Any ideas at least?

Some further info:
I am now using downthemall, which worked great the first time I used it but has started not working at all now. Something I didn't mention above was that I also can't download any file to my hard drive. (this was before and after getting "downthemall") It will do that same "download partially, stop, restart, no download" thing that the youtube videos do. My roommate is also having the problem, so I'm thinking more and more that it may be clearwire. Maybe my modem is blocking something? Or my router? I don't know, but it would be great if someone else did!

Thanks
Zac

Hi, I have been away for a while and my flatmates used my computer. Needless to say, now i'm back and well, my first problem is when web pages load they dont fully load. All the script seems to be there and images but there is no colour in the boxes where links are or there are borders missing and a lot of the banners have no colour in them, they are just white.
I have done a full sweep with AVG, Spybot . One thing they did do was uninstall ZoneAlarm Security Suite and install AVG as they had some issue with internet access to my Yahoo. I have just reinstalled ZA but nothing has changed.
This happens on both IE 7 and Firefox 2.00.3. I have XP with SP2

Think you may need to continue to look at your computer to clean it out, you don't really have enough info here to let someone determine what it could be.
Some of the things that would be useful to know are -
What operating system you use
What type of connection you have
Checking to see if settings have changed
What resources the computer has
You say at the start that video's on web sites do not play but YouTube videos do, then further down you say posted YouTube ones don't play fully, do you mean YouTube videos posted on other sites don't play and only YouTube videos on YouTube play fully?
Personally I think you need to look at the cleaning up of the computer

I have one XP Pro Dell Optiplex PC that runs fine except that web pages don't always fully load,
or you get the raw data from the page (which looks very different).
Does not always happen...strange.

I suspected the network card was bad, so I put in a wifi card and same thing happemed
I have 5 other PCs on network that are working fine. Auto lan IP set.

The PC is clean of viruses. Use CCleaner often.
I have even tried different graphics cards.

All I can guess is that it's the motherboard.
Anyone ever see this?

A:Pages won't fully load on all browsers

Have you tried with any other browsers such as Firefox or Chrome?

This may be something localized to Internet Explorer.

You could try resetting IE's settings back to default by going into the Tools -> Internet Options -> Advanced Tab -> Reset button towards the bottom

My computer takes a lot of time to load completely.

When my pc boots and Windows is loaded the systray icons start to appear. First is Daemon tools, next is the safely remove hardware icon and then comes the sound/volume icon. Then it stops and hangs for 5 minutes, the computer reacts extremly slow. After 5 minutes the internetconnection icon pops up (lan) and right after that comes the Kaspersky icon.

I tried deactivating Daemon and Kaspersky at startup but it still hangs between loading the volume icon and the LAN icon.

My PC;

WinXP SP2 Pentium IV 3.0GHZ with 512mb RAM.

Help would be appreciated.

A:Computer take a lot of time to fully load

Do you have any printer software loading up (HP).

Have you checked start in programs to see what you have in there.Anything in there loads up.

Run msconfig from run go to start up and start disabling items in there and see the response.

You said daemon tools is loading fine i doubt thats the problem.

A:Partition Magic 8.0 Windows XP HDD resizing STOPPED restarted = broke

Pretty much all partitioning tools tell the user to back up their data in advance. And most would ignore it.

So I use 2 part's: one for win and one for my doc.

A:Running fine, then restarted, and BSOD on windows loading screen

Remove all external attached devices (such as the tablet)

Try these free, bootable diagnostics: Initial Hardware Diagnostics
There aren't many SSD tools available, so you'll have to make do with what you can find for testing it.

Beyond that, try physically removing the SSD and installing Windows on the platter based hard drive (don't worry about activating/registering it - you probably won't need if for long (and if you do, you've got 30 days to activate it))

I restarted my computer today and came back and saw that my headphones wont work anymore. It worked fine 5 minutes ago. But the weird thing is that my monitor speakers work perfectly. I've gone and checked my cables from my computer and they were fine. I unplugged and replugged then nothing changed. Images: http://imgur.com/YFogLIE / http://imgur.com/edIzckT . The pics below show the difference when looking at a page at Buy.com. The one showing the description of the item directly underneath the item is IE8. The other is FF 3.5. Does the same with 3.6. I could not even get it to load Free Shipping directly below the item until I updated Java yet IE would load it before. Why does IE load it and FF does not?

BTW, I'm stuck with dialup.

Hello,
My problems started when I installed MacAfee Antivirus and Firewall after unistalling Norton antivirus because I was having Navapp32 problems. My Outlook Express will open, but it remains blank and locks up. Also my links won't work and I get an invalid page fault when I try to open Media Player. I have called MacAfee and they haven't been any help. I can't use their online chat help because the pop up window won't open. I am so frustrated can anyone help me? By the way I have Windows 98 SE.
Thanks

Whenever I sign onto any of my Gmail email accounts, I noticed I will open an email, it will load and I will try to move the side bar to read through it from the top to bottom, but when I move it down, the email moves it instantly back up, and shows that the email hasn't fully loaded. After it's loaded after a few seconds, the page and email works fine. But why is it instantly going up when loading, and not loading fully? I don't get it. Has this happened to any of you?
