Preferred Solution: A.exe,B.exe,C.exe, sshnas.dll, slow internet browser and download, very difficult connect internet lan, DDE server window, ccSvc...

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/directdownload.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

A:Difficult to connect to Internet with Win 7

Please add more detail to your system specs. Asus makes quite a few motherboards, and there are quite a few versions of Windows 7, not to mention there's 32 and 64 bit versions.

Hi, I hope this is in the correct section. I have Windows Vista. Im having a problem with connecting to any online server. I can't connect to MSN, skype, poker full tilt and pkr. Literally everything. I have turned off my Windows Firewall, don't think I have any other firewall and also have them all under exceptions anyway. The thing is my internet connection is broadband and I can surf the web online on internet browser with no problems. Also my dad has the same laptop and we use the same internet and his works fine so it must be something I have done. This has been going on for a long time and I can't sort it. Its really annoying me. If anyone could sort this I would be very grateful. Thank you!

Does TSG allow Remote Assistance?Click to expand...

no, only via posts on the forum

how is the machine connected to the router - wireless or cable
try this
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Safemode with networking
with a cable connected from PC to router
check the cable - see if there is a light on the router associated with the cable port used , also check if you have a green/yellow light on the PC LAN port
- try safemode with networking
as the PC starts keep tapping F8 - a menu appears - choose
safemode with networking - see if that works

hello all. i was wondering if there is a way to change IE9's download window back to how IE8's is? instead of having that bar that pops up at the bottom, have a window that pops up with the option to run, save, cancel like it does in IE8. thanks for your time.

A:Internet Explorer 9 Download Window

Hello and welcome.

I have had a look around to try and find a way to change it but cant seem to find one.

A:Can't connect to the Internet with Window 10

would you post an ipconfig /all please
ipconfig /all

We would like to see the results from an ipconfig /all - post back the results in a reply here.

If you cannot access the internet with this PC, then you will need to paste the results into something like notepad and then copy onto a machine that can access the internet and post the results in a reply here.
Save the file to a USB flash drive or other removable media. Plug it into the working computer with internet access and copy the file and paste here.

If you do not have another PC - do you have a phone connected to the internet - can you photograph the result and post the image in a reply
Note: you will see entries named Tunnel adapter Teredo Tunneling Pseudo-Interface: we dont need to see that information - JUST the information above those entries

For Windows 8 or Windows 10
To open a Cmd Prompt or an Administrator Cmd prompt from the Desktop.
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/open-an-elevated-command-prompt-in-windows-8/
Use Win + X and choose Command Prompt or Command Prompt (Admin) from the list.
For windows version, XP, Vista, W7
Hold the Windows key and press R

Now type CMD

Now press Enter to open a command prompt box (A new dialogue box - black with white font, will appear on screen ):
In the command prompt window that opens, type the following command:

Note that there is a space before the /ALL, but there is NOT a space after the / in the following command.

ipconfig /all > network.txt & network.txt
It will export the results into notepad and then automatically open the notepad and display on your screen.

Now all you need to do is copy and paste those results into a reply here
to do that:
From the notepad menu - choose Edit - Select all
all the text will now be highlighted
Next
From the notepad menu - choose Edit - Copy

Now go back to the forum - goto the reply and then right click in the reply box and paste the results.
The results from the notepad should now appear in the forum reply.

A:Window 8 labtop does not connect to internet

No problems showing up in the ipconfig.

Even though the other PC gets a signal from the router, it may still require a reset of the router in order for all ports to work.

If this doesn't work then please unzip and click on the file below, it will place a .txt file on your desktop, please attach this file on your next post.

Hi. I'm not particularly tech-savvy, so forgive me if I missed giving you any important information.

My office has a wireless network that we use to connect to the server; it uses a Belkin router. We had to get a new lapop (a Dell Inspiron 14R) running Windows 7 Professional (upgraded from Windows 7 Home Premium, which was factory installed).

If the laptop is wired to the router, it can find the server, but cannot get to the internet. If the laptop is running on wireless, it can get to the internet, but not the server.

I've been through a bunch of forums, but most people had the opposite problem - they were unable to connect to the internet.

Our IT guy was here almost all day, and couldn't figure it out, but he hasn't had much experience with Windows 7. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Kate

Kate Hi and welcome
I am assuming that your office has older machine (vista, XP) because of the comment about the "new" machine.

Win 7 introduced a new networking feature (ugh) called IPv6. It is used in "homegroup" and sometimes it has connectivity issues on mixed networks.

Can you (or your IT guy) type cmd in search>right click and run as admin>
ipconfig /all and using the built in snipping tool (type snipping in search) make a screen shot and upload it to us.

Let us know if you need help with this

I have a question, which may or may not be a homework problem *cough, cough*.

How is it possible that a system (PC1) can successfully access the internet, however is not able to access a server on the same network. The background is that this a small network running a DHCP server. PC1 gets an IP address from the DHCP server, but gives an error message about an IP address conflict. You are able to successfully ping the default gateway from PC1. From the server you can ping the IP address of PC1 and get a reply, but if you ping from PC1 to the server you do not get a reply. What is wrong, and why does the internet work?

My guess would be that a system on the network has an IP address manually configured, which is causing a conflict, but I'm not sure of that. Any help would be most appreciated!

A:Internet works, but can't connect to server

Well if theres a conflict then theres a conflict. As you stated this COULD be a manual IP set which makes the server unable to distinguish PC1 from the other manual PC (PC2) When the Sever sends the Ping it gets the reply of wherever it hits.

I disconnected my computer from my wireless router (Dell Pentium(R)D CPU 2.66GHz, 512MB of RAM, connected to wireless network router with cable) to have spyware and malware cleaned. After reconnecting it, it won't aquire an IP address. Modem and router check out, and my laptop is still connected. Dell desktop is flashing where cable plugs in so it looks like data is flowing. When I go to Local Area Connection Status Menu, General Tab shows Status: Aquiring network address with a duration of 2:26:40 and speed 100Mbps (doesn't look like waiting will help)

I tried running a CMD prompt of :_IPCONFIG/RELEASE followed by :_IPCONFIG/RENEW and receive thiss message : An error occured while renewing interface Local Area Connection : The RPC server is unavailable

That's the limit of my knowledge. How do I fix it (make the RPC server available)?

A:can not connect to internet - suspect RPC server

Often, the RPC service will not start for some reason or the other.
First, go to services to confirm whether or not the service was stopped.
If so, go to the command prompt and type:

net start (check the service again to be sure it is stopped, if not type...)

net start rpcss (now, check once more, if not type.....)

net start

**Have you tried connecting in Safe Mode With Networking to see if you can connect to the Internet? **

If that doesn't work, you can use the Recovery Console if you have an XP CD.

From the Recovery Console type:

enable RpcSs SYSTEM_AUTO_START

Next, restart the PC

--

If that doesn't help, try checking your drive for errors by using chkdsk

If no luck, run the System File Checker program by going into the command prompt, and typing: sfc /scannow (you'll need the XP CD nearby)

Just got off the phone with Verizon. They had me push the reset button and I was able to connect to the internet again. I mentioned how slow it takes for pages to load. She said if I have two firewalls running that can happen, then eventually it blocks your internet connection. I have the free Avira and am only using the Windows Firewall. She said the Verizon router has a firewall but it's a low security. So I went on the internet was able to get on some sites, but then others wouldn't connect again, said there is no internet connection. All the lights on the router are on. So far it's still working, but this is what happened before when I lost my connection completely.

I have Windows XP, tried it both on IE 8 and Firefox. The router is an Actiontec MI42WR. The problem was with both my desktop and laptop wired connections.

Everytime I download, I get this error message.
C:\DOCUME~1\LLOYDB~1\TEMP\bbzvcelz.xls could not be saved, because the source file could not be read

Many times, and very quickly, my internet browser will shut down with almost the exact same error message.

The "bbzvcelz" part always changes even if it is the same file.

This problem has not lasted very long, my computer is 4-5 years old, and I have run Norton antivirus many times to eradicate the problem.

What do you suggest?

By the way, I neglected to add to my first post, I cannot run RootRepeal.exe on my computer. Each time I run it I receive a "Intializing, please wait" message in a gray box and the program remains frozen at that stage indefinitely. I've let it run for hours and it never proceeds beyond that stage. Moreover, it consume the entirety of my computer's available memory and precludes me from using it for any other purpose. Can I add any additional information-- perhaps, a combofix log-- to clarify my problem or to assist a tech person in addressing my problem? If I just need to wait for someone to get around to it, I apologize for the impatience.===========Hello Please note: you should NOT make further changes to your computer (install/uninstall programs, use special fix tools, delete files, edit the registry, etc) unless advised by a HJT Team member, nor should you ask for help elsewhere. Doing so can result in system changes which may not show in the log you already posted. Further, any modifications you make on your own may cause confusion for the helper assisting you and could complicate the malware removal process which would extend the time it takes to clean your computer. From this point on the HJT Team should be the only members that you take advice from, until they have verified your log as clean. While we understand your frustration at having to wait, please note that Bleeping Computer deals with several hundred requests for assistance such as yours on a daily basis. As a result, our backlog is quite large as are other comparable sites that help others with malware issues. Although our HJT Team members work on hundreds of requests each day, they are all volunteers who work logs when they can and are able to do so. No one is paid by Bleeping Computer for their assistance to our members.Further, our malware removal staff is comprised of team members with various levels of skill and expertise to deal with thousands of malware variants, some more complex than others. Although we try to take DDS/HJT logs in order (starting with the oldest), it is often the skill level of the particular helper and sometimes the operating system that dictates which logs get selected first. Some infections are more complicated than others and require a higher skill level to remove. Without that skill level attempted removal could result in disastrous results. In other instances, the helper may not be familiar with the operating system that you are using, since they use another. In either case, neither of us want someone to assist you who is not familiar with your issue and attempt to fix it.We ask that once you have posted your log and are waiting, please DO NOT "bump" your thread or make further replies until it has been responded to by a member of the HJT Team. The reason we ask this or do not respond to your requests is because that would remove you from the active queue that Techs and Staff have access to. The malware staff checks the forum for postings that have 0 replies as this makes it easier for them to identify those who have not been helped. If you post another response, there will be 1 reply. A team member, looking for a new log to work may assume another HJT Team member is already assisting you and not open the thread to respond. That is why I have made an edit to your last post, instead of a reply. Please do not multiple post here, as that only pushes you further down the queue and causes confusion to the staff. Please be patient. It may take a while to get a response but your log will be reviewed and answered as soon as possible.Thank you for understanding.Orange Blossom ~ forum moderator

Hi - I am new to this site. I was searching for help on fixing my infected computer when I ran into this site. I am searching from work bc my home PC is messed up. I have the same problems Voodoo Lilly talks about. I can hardly connect to the internet to download any programs, and when I do it is painfully slow. My husband is calling CompUSA to see if they sell any software we can buy and install.

I'm thinking of saving the programs you suggest onto a disk and installing them at home that way, but it's so hard for me to even open explorer to run a disk (so how do we install a store-bought CD....will it run itself when we insert it into the computer?). And how do you start the computer in safe mode?

A:how to connect a browser and Internet?

The Use system proxy settings setting is default. If you have no proxy configured, either the no proxy, or the auto detect you have checked will also work, and if there is a proxy configured, it will detect and use it. A Guy

A few days ago this problem started, I cannot resolve it. Any ideas.

A:Browser will not connect to internet

Which browser is it which is being effected?
Does internet explorer connect or is it just another browser i.e. Mozilla Firefox?

I would presume first of that a firewall may be preventing access, I have experienced this in the past where the rule for the application changes from being allowed to blocked.

I'm suspecting internet port being blocked by some Trojans.

A:Browser won't connect to the Internet

Hello there,

It's worth considering that both Internet Explorer and Chrome use the same type of settings to access the internet so please try the following:

1. Launch Internet Explorer then go to "Settings" > "Internet Options"
2. Click the Connections tab, then click the LAN Settings
3. Make sure only "Automatically detected settings" is ticked then click OK to apply the changes

Hope this helps!

Please help if somebody have any idea about it.

A:Not able to connect internet : getting Error 1722, RPC server is not available

Hi Vaska,

Can you access the internet from a different machine, or is this likeley to be an Internet/Line failure? If it is, I'd call your ISP for advice. If it's PC related, what sort of PC are we talking here - Laptop, Desktop? Also - Model numbers are handy.

Cheers.

Hello all,
I am having the most frustrating problem.
I have just got a new laptop and despite it saying thta it has 'excellent' signal strength and it i connected, it will not connect to the internet.

Laptop is a Lenovo R61 (windows XP). Router is DL-524
Here is the ipconfig all results from laptop:

DHCP enabled= no
ip address+ 192.168.1.5
subnet mask= 255.255.255.0

I am thinking (although i really have no idea) maybe it is forewall? but I am pretty sure I have disabled every firewall I could find...??

We recently got the telstra tg782t wifi modem from bigpond. When we first got it, we were able to connect and use the wifi on our ipods. but recently we have been connecting to the modem but when i go on safari or app store it says that it cannot find the server. ive tried heaps of things to try and get it to work but it keeps doing the same thing. I really want to get it working again

A:Cann connect to internet but it says it can't find the server

can we see the following from a PC connected to the router

------------------------------------------------------------------------
ipconfig /all
If you cannot access the internet with this PC, then you will need to paste the results into something like notepad and then copy onto a machine that can access the internet and post results here

We would like to see the results from ipconfig /all post back the results in a reply here

Hold the Windows key and press R, then type CMD then press Enter to open a command prompt box (A new dialogue box - black with white font, will appear on screen ):

In the command prompt window that opens, type the following command:

Note that there is a space before the /ALL, but there is NOT a space after the / in the following command.

ipconfig /all > network.txt & network.txt

It will export the results to notepad and then automatically open notepad.

Now all you need to do is copy and paste those results to a reply here
to do that:
From the notepad menu - choose Edit - Select all
all the text will be highlighted
Next
From the notepad menu - choose Edit - Copy
Now go back to the forum - reply and then right click in the reply box and paste
------------------------------------------------------------------------

------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ping Tests
If you cannot access the internet with this PC, then you will need to paste the results into something like notepad and then copy onto a machine that can access the internet and post results here

Start> Run {search bar in Vista}> CMD to open a DOS window and type:

Type the following command
Ping {plus the number thats shown against the default gateway shown in above ipconfig /all}
Post back the results
rightclick in the box
select all
enter
control key + C key - to copy
then reply here and
control key + V to paste

Type the following command
Ping google.com
Post back the results
rightclick in the box
select all
enter
control key + C key - to copy
then reply here and
control key + V to paste

Type the following command
Ping 209.183.226.152
post back results
rightclick in the box
select all
enter
control key + C key - to copy
then reply here and
control key + V to paste
For your information only
these tests will check various stages of the connection, the first ping test, ping default gateway checks to see if you still have a connection to the router the next two
Ping google.com & Ping 209.183.226.152 tests the connection to internet , one by name and one by number which checks that the dns is workingClick to expand...

IE Browser problem persists. Internet Explorer browser window unexpectedly closes within 20-30 seconds of opening one or more windows, especially for 15-30 minutes after computer is first booted up. Problem may then stop for hour or more, then may later reappear sporadically. Does not appear to affect websites such as cox.mail.com or online banking programs, or off-line applications (word, excel, etc.).

Related data entry problem also continues to persist most of time. While entering data on any website or scrolling mouse within website, the entry or mouse operation is interrupted. Must left-click mouse onto site to continue.

Doctor SpyWare and XoftSpy anti-spyware successfully blocked repeated infections by AURORA and PARTYPOKER, but do not appear to correct IE browser closing problem. Repeated anti-spyware scans show no infections. And McAfee VirusScan and McAfee Personal FireWall Plus show no virus infections.

My high-school age niece's laptop was so messed up, it would no longer work properly.  I used malwarebytes antimalware to detect and eliminate any virus or malware, then deleted any software that I did not recognize.  She said that IE did not work, so I deleted it also...with the intention of downloading the newest version.  I left Google Chrome on the computer.  When I tried to access the internet, via ethernet cable, I was not able to get online.  The error message said the computer was not able to connect to the proxy server; but, it showed that the computer was connected to the internet....Google Chrome would not connect to the internet provider, however.  I tried several things; nothing worked.  Can anyone help me?

A:Problem with Proxy Server; Unable to connect to internet

Hi  Open the chrome browser >>  Next  once Chrome is open then in the top Right hand corner of the browser ( below red cross) you will see 3 lines horizontal to each other . Click the 3 lines and open browser options >> Next > click  Settings >>> Next  scroll down till you see Advanced Settings and click Advanced Settings >>>>  Next scroll down to where it says Network >> Next click  Change Proxy Settings >>>> Once inside Internet Properties  Click LAN settings >>>> Make sure that  " Automatically  Detect Settings "  and click OK ...   Close the Browser and re-open Chrome and your home page should be displayed as normal .  Also if you have uninstalled IE ( internet explorer ) You can run Windows update and it should realise that IE has been uninstalled and offer the program via Windows Udate again . Failing that here is the link for IE 11 download.   http://windows.microsoft.com/en-GB/internet-explorer/ie-11-worldwide-languages                    Hope this helps                                Checkurtech

Before we start please read and note the following:

At the top of your post, please click on the "Watch thread" button and make sure to check Watch this thread...and receive email notifications. This will send an email to you as soon as I reply to your topic, allowing me to solve your problem faster.
Please do not install any new software during the cleaning process other than the tools I provide for you. This can hinder the cleaning process. Please do not perform System Restore or any other restore.
Instructions I give to you are very simple and made for complete beginner to follow. That's why you need to read through my instructions carefully and completely before executing them.
Please do not run any tools other than the ones I ask you to, when I ask you to. Some of these tools can be very dangerous if used improperly. Also, if you use a tool that I have not requested you use, it can cause false positives, thereby delaying the complete cleaning of your machine.

All tools we use here are completely clean and do not contain any malware. If your antivirus detects them as malicious, please disable your antivirus and then continue.
If during the process you run across anything that is not in my instructions, please stop and ask. If any tool is running too much time (few hours), please stop and inform me.
I visit forum several times at day, making sure to respond to everyone's topic as fast as possible. But bear in mind that I have private life like everyone and I cannot be here 24/7. So please be patient with me. Also, some infections require less, and some more time to be removed completely, so bear this in mind and be patient.
Please stay with me until the end of all steps and procedures and I declare your system clean. Just because there is a lack of symptoms does not indicate a clean machine. If you solved your problem yourself, set aside two minutes to let me know.

Please attach all report using button below. Doing this, you make it easier for me to analyze and fix your problem.

Do not ask for help for your business PC. Companies are making revenue via computers, so it is good thing to pay someone to repair it.

Hello. I am a complete newbie to server administration. At my current job, I have been tasked with setting up a deployment server. The server is a Windows 2008 server and is not connected to the Internet. The server is a domain controller on its own domain (different from the main domain my job uses). How would I connect this server to the Internet without disrupting other users on the network? By disrupting, I mean connecting to my server instead of the main server for DNS and DHCP. The server has Active Directory Domain Services, DNS, DHCP, and WDS roles set-up.

Hi guys, please help! my computer wont connect to internet and is saying "dns server not found". I have tried several restore points, and resetting the router, but the problem persists.
The problem seems to have occurred after I started using an Ethernet cable, but I don't know if this is related? I am worried that the computer may have a virus however

I don't know how to fix this problem as I am not too good with computer, however the internet is running in safe mode (I am able to write this/ yet very slowly..).
Mobile phones are working fine.

Does anyone know how to solve this issues?

Please help.

Hi I want to ask anyone here who has the experience connecting computers from one main server. My situation is like this, I have one main server (WIN Server 2008) where I want to be the main controller to all the computers that is connected to it. Problem is I don't want it to be a domain controller because many of the computers are either Vista or Win 7 Starter. One other thing is that the server has an internet connection on it and I would like the other computers to have the internet connection as well... thanks for your reply..peace

A:Cannot connect to internet/mail server after repeated reboots

Howdy, and welcome to TSF!

Please print out or copy this page to Notepad. Make sure to work through the fixes in the exact order it is mentioned below. If there's anything that you don't understand, ask your question(s) before proceeding with the fixes. You should 'not' have any open browsers when you are following the procedures below.

Go to My Computer->Tools/View->Folder Options->View tab and make sure that 'Show hidden files and folders' (or 'Show all files') is enabled. Also make sure that 'Display the contents of system folders' is checked. If you have Windows XP, the search feature is a little different. When you click on 'All files and folders' on the left pane, click on the 'More advanced options' at the bottom. Make sure that 'Search system folders', 'Search hidden files and folders', and 'Search subfolders' are checked.

For the options that you checked/enabled earlier, you may uncheck them after your log is clean. If we ask you to fix a program that you use or want to keep, please post back saying that (we don't know every program that exists, so we may tell you to delete a program that we think is bad to keep).

Let's continue on with the fix...

-

Be sure to look this solution over before you begin. There are a some item(s) i'm not familar with. If you recognze any, then just omit them from this fix.

===============

We'll need to disable AdAware's AdWatch, since it might interfere with other program(s) we might be using to 'clean' off your system; you can re-enable it after we're done. To disable this feature, run Run AdAware SE, then:

1. Click "AdWatch".
2. Click "Tools and Preferences".

(Look at the bottom of the window you will see two options...)

3. Uncheck these options:

Active: This will turn Ad-Watch On\Off without closing it
Automatic: Suspicious activity will be blocked automatically

Remember to re-enable this feature once your system is clean.

===============

Download, unzip to your desktop CWShredder and run it, then:

1. Click "Check For Update"

(If an update isn't available, skip to step #4.)

2. Click "Click here to Download the upate".
3. When the new version has been downloaded, click "Save".
4. Click "Fix ->"

===============

Run HiJackThis and click "Scan", then check(tick) the following, if present:

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {549B5CA7-4A86-11D7-A4DF-000874180BB3} - (no file)
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {FDD3B846-8D59-4ffb-8758-209B6AD74ACC} - (no file)

O16 - DPF: {3AF4DACE-36ED-42EF-9DFC-ADC34DA30CFF} (PatchInstaller.Installer) - file://E:\content\include\XPPatchInstaller.CAB

Now, with all windows closed except HiJackThis, click "Fix checked".

===============

Post back a new log, and let us know how everything goes.

I have an XP desktop that although seems to be connected to the net, cannot connect through a browser. I have Chrome and IE 8 both say there is no connection.
The modem/router are ok as my windows 7 laptop is fine.

Any suggestions?

A:XP wont connect to internet for any browser

What firewall / security suite or anti-virus do you currently have on the PC - or you have ever had on the PC in the past - any trial ware - like Norton, Mcafee , AVG etc

------------------------------------------------------------------------
ipconfig /all
If you cannot access the internet with this PC, then you will need to paste the results into something like notepad and then copy onto a machine that can access the internet and post the results in a reply here.
Save the file to a USB flash drive or other removable media. Plug it into the working computer with internet access and copy the file and paste here.

We would like to see the results from an ipconfig /all - post back the results in a reply here.

Hold the Windows key and press R, then type CMD then press Enter to open a command prompt box
(A new dialogue box - black with white font, will appear on screen ):

Hi

Yesterday, I noticed a problem with my XP desktop which basically kept redirecting any google search results to clearask.com. I first suspected some kind of virus and tried installing Norton 360 on the computer. But after installation, Norton did a scan and didn't find anything. After this, I did a websearch and stumbled upon this site. I saw instructions to download and run ComboFix (some people had reported seeing a similar problem that ComboFix fixed) and followed the instructions. ComboFix completed all stages and generated the log file. I am attaching the log file at the bottom.

After this, I rebooted the computer. My borwsers now can't connect to the internet. However, if I open a cmd window and ping www.yahoo.com, it seems to ping fine.

Any help on how I can connect to the internet again is highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

=Ryan

Hello All,

I use Windows XP 2. I recently started experiencing this problem after I installed a back-up utility software. I can connect to the internet using my browsers (IE and firefox), but other non-browser programs in my system cannot connect to the internet when required. For example, if I click the help icon in Microsoft Word, I would get an error message that my system is not connected to the network.

I use AVG as my anti-virus. I actually temporarily disabled my Windows and AVG firewalls, but the problem still persists. I do not know if this is a virus or registry corruption or whatever. Please help me out.

A:My browser does not have internet connection but can ping to provider server

Hi Vincent

Thank you for your patience. I will be helping you deal with the issues raised in your log from this point onwards

Before we start jumping into things, here is a quick basic note which I mention to everyone. The fix which I have provided for you is for this computer only, it should not be used on any other computer. Each fix is tailor made for the specific task in hand. If for some reason you have system restore disabled, then please re-enable it before proceeding, an infected restore is better than none. Please read through the fix first and set enough time aside to complete the task in one session. If there is anything you feel needs clarification then please ask - do not guess! Thanks.

If this is a computer from a work place then please advise your IT department of the concerning issues before commencing past this point.

Please follow these directions in the order they are set out for you.

First of all...

Go to control panel - add/remove programs
Make sure there is a check in the box at the top which says "show updates"
Scroll down and check for this update to see if it exist:
"Security update for Windows (KB951748)"
Click on the change/remove button

Next.....

Open up HJT and select the second entry - Do a system scan only
Place a checkmark next to these entries:

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {52043E63-F814-41BB-A8B8-A35474C6C1BD} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\byXRhFwt.dll

O20 - Winlogon Notify: byXRhFwt - C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\byXRhFwt.dll

Make sure all browser and open windows/programs are closed and select "Fix checked"

Can you also please generate an uninstall manager list
a) If HJT is still open then click on the config button (Bottom Right) then select the Misc Tools Button
or - b) If you have closed HJT then re-open it and select the 4th Button entitled - Open the Misc Tools Section

Now click on the Open Uninstall Manager Button
Next select the Save List button
Save this file to a safe location which you can access easy as I will need it in your next reply

Next...

Please scan with ComboFix.exe. Please visit this webpage for download links, and instructions for running the tool:

Please ensure you read this guide carefully and install the Recovery Console first.

The Windows Recovery Console will allow you to boot up into a special recovery (repair) mode. This allows us to more easily help you should your computer have a problem after an attempted removal of malware. It is a simple procedure that will only take a few moments of your time.

Once installed, you should see a blue screen prompt that says:

The Recovery Console was successfully installed.

Please continue as follows:Close/disable all anti virus and anti malware programs so they do not interfere with the running of ComboFix.
Click Yes to allow ComboFix to continue scanning for malware.
When the tool is finished, it will produce a report for you.

Please include the following reports for further review, and so we may continue cleansing the system:

I have an HP S5000 series desktop computer. I bought it in 2011.

I recently bought Kaspersky Internet Security since I knew I had a virus or something. I installed it successfully. I then performed a disk clean up. I restarted my computer to find I could no longer connect to the Internet. There is no connection found. When I try to troubleshoot, it says,

"The Realtek PCIe FE Family Controller adapter is experiencing driver- or hardware-related problems."

I contacted Kaspersky and they walked me through some steps that did not solve the issue. I contacted HP and I would have to pay on a warranty before being able to get help on my problem.

If anyone knows how to solve this, please help!! It will be greatly appreciated!!

A:Windows 7- No Server Found/Realtek error msg/Can't connect to Internet/

I'd start by uninstalling Kaspersky and run the following repairs. You can reinstall Kaspersky after getting a successful connection.

TCP/IP stack repair options for use with Vista through 10.

Start - All Programs - Accessories and right click on Command Prompt, select "Run as Administrator" to open a command prompt. [For Windows 8 thru 10: <Windows Logo> + x - Command Prompt(Admin)]

Reset WINSOCK entries to installation defaults: netsh winsock reset catalog

Reset IPv4 TCP/IP stack to installation defaults. netsh int ipv4 reset reset.log

Reset IPv6 TCP/IP stack to installation defaults. netsh int ipv6 reset reset.log

Reboot the machine after all three commands; no need to boot after the 1st and 2nd.

A:Unable to Connect to Internet - Proxy Server Refusing Connections

Hello, newschick! Let's start with some important instructions:
Avoid installing or uninstalling programs during the malware removal process, because doing so can cause discrepancies between the information in different log files created by different programs at different times.
Do NOT run tools such as Combofix unless instructed by a BleepingComputer staff member. These tools can break your computer if used improperly, so you should only run them if you know what you are doing or if the person who told you to use Combofix knows what they're doing.
If you want to, you should back up all important documents and files to an external storage device or online file backup service. Malware infections--and attempts to fix them--can prevent your computer from booting up, making your files unaccessable; this means that backing up your files to an USB flash drive or to an online service like Dropbox before attempting to remove malware is a good idea.
Step 1: Rkill

Please download Rkill by Grinler. Save it to your desktop.
Run the program. If you are using Windows Vista, you should right click the program and select "Run as administrator".
A Black DOS box should appear; this indicates that the program is functioning.
The program will generate a log file on your desktop. Post the contents of that file in your next reply.
Do not restart your computer until the other steps are finished.

Step 2: Please download MiniToolBox by Farbar, and save it to your desktop.

Run the program. Please select the following options:

Flush DNS
Report IE proxy settings
Reset IE proxy settings
Report FF proxy settings
Reset FF proxy settings
List content of Hosts
List installed programs
List restore points
After the program finishes its job, it will create a log file called "Result.txt" on your desktop. Post the contents of that file in your next reply.

Step 3: Run ESET online scanner

Using Internet Explorer, navigate to http://www.eset.com/us/online-scanner-popup/ (If you used another web browser, such as Firefox, you will have to download an installer file)
Read through the program's terms of use. If you agree with it, check the checkbox which confirms that you accepted the program's terms of use. If you do not agree with its terms of use, then notify me and I can find another virus cleaning solution for you.
Accept any security warnings which may appear.
Click on the advanced settings part, and select "Scan for potentially unsafe applications","remove found threats", and "Scan archives".
Check "scan for potentially unwanted applications".
Click "start".
Eset will download updates and scan your computer; this may take a few minutes to a few hours.
When the scan completes, click "list threats".
Click "Export", and save the log file to your desktop.
Post the contents of the log file to your next forum post. Please note that if ESET does not detect anything, it may not necessarily generate a log file.
Step 4: Please download AdwCleaner by Xplode, and save it to your desktop.

Click on the "scan" button.
The tool will scan your computer for adware; this may take a few minutes.
After the scan has finished, click on the "Report" button. A logfile, AdwCleaner[R0].txt, will show.
After viewing the log, close the log file window. View the list of adware detections, and uncheck ones that you do not want to remove(i.e. the ones which you're sure to be benign).
Press the "Clean" button. You will be requested to restart your computer.
After restarting your computer, a log file called AdwCleaner[S0].txt will show. Post the contents of that log file in your next reply.

I have a win xp media edition laptop of a friend of mine. He really needs it for a
program that only works in xp. So the wireless adapter and lan adapter are connecting
just fine. BUT when a browser is open I get page not displayed

1. I did check and NO proxy is being used

2. I did a netsh winsock reset and restarted the computer no luck.

I am not sure what else to do if I dont want to reinstall win xp. Is there any
way do fix this issue?

I suspected a winsock issue but now i am not sure

Any help would appreciated

A:browser does not connect to internet even though the adapter is connecting

First...try at least one other browser.

If second browser encounters same/similar connectivity issues...I would suspect malware.  But I would check some data before concluding that malware is an issue.

Please download MiniToolBox  , save it to your desktop and run it.
Checkmark the following checkboxes:  List last 10 Event Viewer log  List Installed Programs  List Users, Partitions and Memory size.
Click Go and paste the content into your next post.
Also...please Publish a Snapshot using Speccy,  taking care to post the link of the snapshot in your next post.
Go to Piriform's website, and download the free version on the left.  Click Download from Piriform.com (the FileHippo link requires an extra click). Or if you want to use a portable version of Speccy (which doesn't require installation), click the builds page link and download the portable version. You will now be asked where you want to save the file. The best place to put it is the Desktop, as it will be easy to find later.
After the file finishes downloading, you are ready to run Speccy. If you downloaded the installer, simply double-click on it and follow the prompts until installation is complete. If you downloaded the portable version, you will need to unzip it before use. Right-click the ZIP file and click Extract all. Click Next. Open up the extracted folder and double-click on Speccy.

Once inside Speccy, it will look similar to this (with your computer's specifications, of course):
Now, at the top, click File > Publish Snapshot. You will see the following prompt:
Click Yes > then Copy to Clipboard
Now, once you are back in the forum topic you are posting in, click the button. Right-click in the empty space of the Reply box and click Paste. Then, click Add Reply below the Reply box.

My PC is working fine and I can surf the WEB. My laptop has connectivity (weather bug, quick stock quotes and pings all reach their destination) but IE and Mozzila can not display any websites. Recently, I've had trouble connecting to AOL. I've been on the phone with them and erased and reloaded the AOL from scratch. I connnect to the net via broadband modem.

I am however able to connect to the net via Firefox and Internet Explorer.

Whenever I try to sign into AOL under my screen name or as a guest, it freezes up for about a minute then takes me back to the sign on screen.

I have Win XP with SP2, Dell Dimension 8100 system.

I see that some people show there startup log. if this would help, then I will copy into this forum. I just downloaded the Startup list from Hijack this. What section do I copy and paste ?

Thanks in advance.

How can I speed up IE8? I am running XP & wireless.

When a friend accesses her laptop in my house it flies!

A:Internet download so slow

Start>Programs>Accessories>System Tools>Disc Cleanup. If you've run it regularly it should take 2 minutes. If not it could take an hour on XP.

Hi Aelical,

Since the other PC is working fine, we can exclude the switch and router.

Do you have any other firewall software installed?

What antivirus program do you have installed on the problem PC?

----------

It sounds like something is blocking particular ports.

As for Windows Mail, do you use a POP3 or IMAP configuration?

So yeah, I've these problems for the past couple days. My browsers (Opera and Firefox) used to load pages quickly, but now they're painfully slow. Opera lags and freezes often; Firefox doesn't, but it still takes a very long time to load pages.

I'm also getting these occasional "invisible ads," even when I don't have a browser open. I can hear the ads but I can't see them.

Also, I sometimes get redirected to unwanted sites. This mostly happens when I click on a search result in Google.

Here are some things I've done:

-Ran SUPERantispyware (I can post the log(s) if needed)
-Defragged hard drive
-Cleaned cache, cookies, etc. on both browsers

Hello Tienjt,

Scan your computer again, this time using Microsoft Security Essentials and Malwarebytes Anti Malware as posted in the links below:-

Download CCleaner to get rid of temp files - it will make the antivirus scans go faster :-)
Download CCleaner 3.20.1750 - FileHippo.com

Download Microsoft Security Essentials (MSE) from here:
Microsoft Security Essentials - Free Antivirus for Windows

Download the updates for MSE from here:
Install the latest Microsoft Security Essentials definition updates - Get the latest definitions - Microsoft Malware Protection Center

Download malwarebytes from here:
Download Malwarebytes Anti-Malware 1.62 - FileHippo.com

And the malwarebytes updates from here:

Hi and Welcome!!

My name is Jeff. I would be more than happy to take a look at your malware results logs and help you with solving any malware problems you might have. Logs can take a while to research, so please be patient and know that I am working hard to get you a clean and functional system back in your hands. I'd be grateful if you would note the following:
The fixes are specific to your problem and should only be used for the issues on this machine.
It's often worth reading through these instructions and printing them for ease of reference.
If you don't know or understand something, please don't hesitate to say or ask!! It's better to be sure and safe than sorry.
Please reply to this thread. Do not start a new topic.
If you happen to have a flash drive/thumb drive please have that ready in the event that we need to use it.
Please be sure to subscribe to the topic if you have not already done so.
IMPORTANT NOTE : Please do not delete, download or install anything unless instructed to do so.DO NOT use any TOOLS such as Combofix or HijackThis fixes without supervision. Doing so could make your system inoperable and could require a full reinstall of your operating system and losing all your programs and data.

Having said that....     Let's get going!!
----------
   AdwCleaner

Please download AdwCleaner by Xplode and save to your Desktop.
Double click on AdwCleaner.exe to run the toolVista/Windows 7/8 users right-click and select Run As Administrator.
Click on the Scan button.
AdwCleaner will begin...be patient as the scan may take some time to complete.
After the scan has finished, click on the Report button...a logfile (AdwCleaner[R0].txt) will open in Notepad for review.
The contents of the log file may be confusing. Unless you see a program name that you know should not be removed, don't worry about it. If you see an entry you want to keep, let me know about it.
Copy and paste the contents of that logfile in your next reply.
A copy of all logfiles are saved in the C:\AdwCleaner folder which was created when running the tool.
----------
  Please download TDSSKiller
Double click TDSSKiller.exe
Press Start Scan but do nothing else as we are just looking for what is there.
If Malicious objects are found, select Skip by changing the Cure dropdown in the upper right.
Attach the log in your next reply
A copy of the log will be saved automatically to the root of the drive (typically C:\)
