Preferred Solution: problem accessing key?

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/directdownload.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

A: problem accessing key?

Hi,

What exactly does the error message say?

A key could be a USB key not inserted during the installation.

To be certain, I must know what the error message says exactly, not just what the general idea is.

Dave

I have 2 issues. I don't know if they are related somehow.

1. I installed PrivaZer and deleted it. It still shows up on the right click context menu. I tried to reinstall it and deleted it again. I still have that problem. I even restarted the computer. How can I get rid of the entry?

2. When I try to click on/install some downloaded .exe files, I get a message: "Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file." It hasn't happened with other file types yet.

I scanned for viruses and it didn't find anything. I wasn't sure what to do. Thank you.

A:Context menu item problem and accessing files problem

When you said you installed it then deleted it. Do you mean you uninstalled it ? If you deleted then there are left over to be cleaned, You must uninstall not delete.

Please download: ShellExView - Shell Extension Manager For Windows . Right click and run as Admin, locate the extension in question. If you double click it, it will tell you where it is stored on the HD, you can disable first then delete.

I have a Microsoft wireless laser mouse 5000, and a Microsoft wireless keyboard 300.

My problem is that sometimes, but not all the time, when I left click on a story, within a site, such as npr.org, or quite a few others, that story or article will not come up.
At times I can right click on this and open it in another tab, but sometimes not even this is available or works.
There is no rhyme or reason when this will happens. I am usually able to correct most problems that have come up, but not this.

Thanks for any help.

Hello from me...I have a big problem with my computer...
I have DSL with the pirelli modem/router.
I cannot access some specific webpages (www.greek-fun.com , www.ellinadiko.com ) I have to add that these web pages are forums...
In the same router with a different computer I can access them just fine... So it is not from the ISP. I tried accessing them from both firefox and ie but nothing... I run windows xp SP2 and I use Kaspersky internet security 7 and the windows firewall disabled. when I ping www.greek-fun.com I get "Ping request could not find host www.greek-fun.com. Please check the name and try again."

did you try another browser to see if you can access them? If not, give that a try. It will help to determine where the problem is.

I am trying to acces a Massively Multiplayer Online Rpg which I play, Tibia, at my school. I do not know what kind of connection the school runs on, but it is networked on many computers, obviously.

I believe the problem is that something is blocking acces to the port 7171, which is required to access the game.

All that the homepage says is required is --

QUOTE
For the Windows Version you need:
Windows 95/98/ME/XP/2000
DirectX version 5.0 or later
15 MB free space on your hard disk
A connection to the internet via Windows Sockets

Now, we are allowed to download anything to the C drive, we run on Windows XP (it worked when I ran it on Nt), and I dl'ed DirectX 9. So, I guess the problem is my internet connection.
Does anyone know how/if I can/could unblock the access to that 7171 port?

Any suggestions? Im willing to try anything.

Do the machines you are using have a software firewall or is there a firewall that blocks the lab? If its a software firewall you can create a rule that allows that, but ask if its ok first. If its a firewall for the lab, then prob nothing you can do.

I am suprised you need that opened though. You should be able to play any MP game without opening up ports if your not hosting a server

Have you tried to create the shares in the sharing centre under networks?
If you are trying to share from different computers be sure that the passwords are correct.

Starting about 2 weeks ago I stopped being able to load any ezboard webpages. At first I thought that they were down, but when it dragged on for over a week and it seemed that they were working for others I began to wonder.

Is there any possible reason why out of the blue, my computer/internet would just choose to not upload one certain sites webpages? It goes to find the page and gets about 3 bars into the loaded screen and then tells me that the page can not be displayed. I can access everything else easily. I have windows xp home edition with all of the updates. I use dsl for my internet connection.... and it works for everything else.

Anyone know why this one website (and any of the pages connected to it) won't load for me?

Any help would be great

Any ideas why others can reach it but I can't? What other settings might be blocking it from my end?

Thanks.

Your DSL router must be the main unit, and must be setup first.. You Can install the DI-524 as a router, but then must connect to the DSL modem port.
The Di-524 then connected to the DSL port, and the cable from the #1 port on the DI-524 going to computer will work, as will the wireless.

Today I tried to access a couple of documents that I created in Microsoft Word I get into these documents regularly and have never had a problem but now when doc MSWord Problem accessing I try to open them I'm getting the following message quot Word cannot open the document user does Problem accessing MSWord doc not have access privileges quot I'm the only user on this computer it is not networked and I haven't knowingly changed any settings I did have major virus problems these past few days I'm almost through with dealing with those I mention this in case it makes a difference When I clicked on the help button I got the following information This message can appear if a file has been saved with permissions Permissions also known as rights or privileges can be applied to a file folder or almost any resource available from a network printers shares files databases Web sites etc When a user attempts to open a resource that requires specific user permissions this message will appear if the user does not have the required permissions Permissions can be set for individual users groups of users or for a specific computer Usually this message appears if you are using a network to which administrators have applied permissions for specific users and groups or if you are accessing a resource local to a specific user's computer but are blocked because of local permissions that have been set by that user If you cannot open a resource on a file server or other computer on your network you will most likely need to review your user account settings to determine whether you have the necessary permissions to gain access to the resource If you do not know whether you have the necessary permissions contact your network administrator or the owner of the computer with the shared resources Usually this message does not appear if you are using disk drives formatted with a FAT or FAT file system Drives formatted with NTFS HPFS or another file format that provides the ability to apply permissions are capable of forcing this message Occasionally the computer that grants users access to a network can lose the information that is used to authenticate a specific user When this happens the only option available is to turn your computer off for thirty seconds and then restart your computer you must turn off the computer to clear the cached information in the network card Restarting may reset the authentication information that is used to grant you access to the network If this does not work you must contact the network administrator to have your account reset It is also possible that the network administrator has disabled your account There is also the possibility that the file you are attempting to open is restricted through Information Rights Management IRM IRM is an alternate form of file restriction access that allows creators of a file the ability to limit editing copying printing or forwarding of content If the file is restricted and you require access to its contents you must contact the creator or owner of the file to request that they add your user ID to the list of users who are allowed to access the file Can somebody tell me where I go to change quot permissions quot or advise me on what I should do I REALLY need access to these two files Thank you in advance

A:Problem accessing MSWord doc

I wanted to update my post.

It's not just the two Word docs I can't open, it's everything in this particular folder, include a pdf file. When I tried opening it, it said "There was a problem opening this document. Access denied."

All other documents that I've checked in other folders are fine.

Any suggestions? Thank!

Hi,

Sorry if a problem like this has been posted before, I searched and found similar threads but couldn't work anything out.

I have just got a new laptop from work (Lenovo T410) but cannot seem to access the internet via wireless at home. The wireless mode at home is 802.11n. On my previous laptop (a Lenovo T60), I had to buy a belkin N Wireless USB adapter and used that. But I don't think I need to use it on the T410, right?
When I switch the T410 on, the Access Connections box comes on and I can see all the different wireless networks available and they have good strength, but I just cannot connect, I don't know why? I have entered the 10 digit encryption key.

I hope someone can help, thanks!

A:Problem accessing N-Wireless

Welcome to TSG:
Couple of things to try.Disable encryption and all firewalls, including 3rd party security suites.Any change.
Then let's see this.
Start, Run, CMD, OK to open a command prompt:
(For Vista or 7 type CMD in the Search box after Start)

In the command prompt window that opens, type the following command:

Note that there is a space before the /ALL, but there is NOT a space after the / in the following command.

IPCONFIG /ALL

Right click in the command window and choose Select All, then hit Enter to copy the contents to the clipboard.
Paste the results in a message here.

If you are on a machine with no network connection, use a floppy, USB disk, or a CD-RW disk to transfer a text file with the information to allow pasting it here.

And the output from this:
Wifi test exe. Hint from Johnwill

Download and run Xirrus Wi-Fi Inspecto from
www.xirrus.com/library/wifitools.php
on the problem machine. Post a screen shot of the main screen here.

To post a screen shot of the active window, hold the Alt key and press the PrtScn key. Open the Windows PAINT application and Paste the screen shot. You can then use PAINT to trim to suit, and save it as a JPG format file. To upload it to the forum, open the full reply window and use the Manage Attachments button
to upload it here.

Note that this application requires NET Framework to run. If you get an error about a missing function, download and install NET Framework.

.T06 is the file extension associated with TaxCut 2006.
Why would you try to open it with Adobe Reader? It will not recognise such a file.

The site displays for a second and then explorer gives a white screen saying 'site not found - wrong address'

The address line on explorer shows http/// - three slashes.

When I locate the site via google, same problem crops up.

However, I can access the site from another computer and on my blackberry.

I've cleared history and cache and deleted site from recently visited list.

Any suggestions welcome!

Using Vista Home 32bit, it does not allow me to access the websites that start with https:\. It used to allow me to do that until the end of July 2009, and after an automatic windows update regarding IE, it did now allow me to do that anymore. I tried removing the update that was done on the date of 7/27, but ended in vain.

Also used FireFox and could not access it. I use the latest version of McAfee. I also made sure that SSL is selected in Tool-option. Also, I added the https:/ site to a list of permitted websites, but still could not access it.

Hope I get some help from you guys!! Thanks in advance!

Other websites work fine? Try from a different computer, diff location / internet cafe, call up a friend and see if its accessible, if its alwebsite issue may be, browse by IP address, (go to command prompt > ping www.website.com, enter), see if it's pinging, it would also give u the IP address there, put that in the browser address bar and see if it's accessible. or ping that IP itself and see if it makes a diff.

Try the above...

Hello, I installed the Windows 7 Release Candiate build 7100 yesterday and now when I try to access a website via Internet Explorer or Safari(the windows version) and Firefox I get a page time-out message.

I ran the Network Diagnostic tool and the message I get is "Windows could not automatically detect the networks proxy settings".

I am connected to the internet via Ethernet cable to my dsl modem. I restarted the modem, I restarted the computer several times.

The network says I have internet access, but it will not let me onto the internet.
My computer is a HP pavilion dv7-1020US.

Edit: Forgot to mention, I did try un-installing the driver for my ethernet adaptor. Also I am able to connect to the internet on my other computers with no problems.

Edit: I uninstalled my virus and firewall programs I had, but it didnt help.

I know the website isn't down as I can access the website through the same router with my phone.

The few things i have tried is a dns flush as i can ping the sites ip address but not the car insurance credit card application at whatever.com address.

and a reboot.

i am not able to open a particular site
the thing is that it shows 127.0.0.1 not available but i didn't entered this local host address
i even checked hosts file in C and it's not present there
also i use Proxycap a proxy filtering software to redirect all my incoming and outgoing connection through a proxy
and all websites opens except for this

A:Problem while accessing a particular website

Open an elevated command prompt and enter this command:
nslookup sitedomain

where site domain is the site you are trying to surf to. Don't put in the http://
also try it with and without the www if the url has the www included.

If it's a name service issue you should see it give the 127.0.0.1
If it gives other numbers try surfing to it using "http://" followed by the numbers returned by nslookup
(The double quote are just so it won't show as a link when posted. Omit them.)

where numbers ae copied and pasted from the nslookup info.

Could be Java. Could be you are using a beta version of Yahoo. Could be malware.Go to start/control panel and click on the "coffee cup" and click on update tab. Install latest update. Then go to Add/Remove program and uninstall ALL old versions of Java.If that doesn't fix it, and you are using a beta version of Yahoo, roll back to the old version of Yahoo email. Not being able to go to Myspace isn't such a bad thing as it is loaded with malware. If you have security programs on your computer and you have not run any scans, suggest you do that. Since you have IPTABLES set up on your web server, did you set it up to allow port 80 traffic to pass through? Did you set up the web server to have a default gateway of your 7800N which is 121.35.2.21? How are all the devices connected to the 7800N? Via LAN ports on the 7800N or with an external switch?

just realised how disgustingly clever this malware is
when found with an antivirus, the antivirus can't deal with it because it's hidden the C:\ from view, so i'm gonna have to delete it manually?

A:Problem Accessing Some Web Sites

Hey mate,

What antivirus program are you using? If you're using one you installed or it was preinstalled, and if you don't mind, just for the case of fully troubleshooting, I'd like you (at least temporarily) to remove it, which will force your computer to use the built-in Defender AV for now. BUT - remove it with an uninstaller. Revo Uninstaller Free works great, and sometimes the AV website itself offers a tool to remove it. Don't worry, Defender will protect your computer just fine, but may require a restart after you remove any other AV installed. Double-check that you've removed ALL AV programs, protections, toolbars, etc.

Reset IE completely: How to reset Internet Explorer settings ENSURING that you also delete personal settings by clicking the checkbox. If you have things you do not want to lose, then save them via export/import (import after we finish troubleshooting): Internet Explorer - Import and Export Favorites - Windows 7 Help Forums

Make sure ALL important and recommended MS updates are installed via control panel. Restart computer.

Run an antimalware program that is free, and widely regarded as one of the best. Select the free version, and after the install, uncheck the 30 day trial period to ensure you get the complete free version: https://www.malwarebytes.org/
Update it, and let it 'threat scan' your computer. If it finds anything, select to quarantine. Let me know how this goes, and we'll continue if you still have problems.

PS - never pay to have your computer repaired by a couple guys when you can have a large group of congregating nerds online at your disposable, for free.

A friend of mine has managed to "lock himself out" of the original Administrator account of his own XP Pro machine.

Story: He decided to password his machine, but rather than password the original Administrator login he had been using, he opted to create a new user, also titled Administrator with his new password. Now he cannot get back into the original Administrator account, so cannot access his documents etc etc. When he boots up in Safe Mode, he can see the original account, but on logging in normally he cannot access this account. It does not show up on the Welcome Screen.

Any ideas would be gratefully received!

Cheers chaps!

You need to WIRE the connection to the system, perform some setup, enable the wireless portion BEFORE you try the wireless feature. Read the manual for details.

Hi, new to this site, it appears to have a wealth of information on it, good job.

I just installed a new hard drive, but have been unable to access the BIOS to set it as the primary boot device (i just copied everything from current drive).

I cannot access the BIOS because my USB controllers are disabled during the boot phase. Also, I do not have a PS/2 keyboard at my college, nor does anyone in my dorm (nor an adapter).

So my question is; Can I enable the USB Legacy Controller without going into the BIOS, or, Can I change the primary boot device without going into the BIOS?

Thank you for your help

A:Accessing BIOS Problem

Hi and welcome to TSF.
First, you cannot just copy files from your system drive to another drive and expect it to work. Second, you will need a PS/2 keyboard to enter BIOS. It's unfortunate you are not close as I must have half a dozen knocking about. Third, you can change the boot order of your drives if they are PATA drives by setting the jumpers accordingly, but not if they are SATA drives. You don't say which. The only way I know of getting out of your predicament is by making a clone of your system drive to the other drive. You can then change the boot order using a floppy disc.

Hi Darren.

Could you download an run VistaForums SysInfo Tool (Select all and export to a file).

Also open a command prompt (Start > Run > Cmd), and type exactly as shown:

ipconfig /all >C:\IPConfig.txt

This will create the file C:\IPConfig.txt.

Upload both files in your reply.

A:Problem accessing internet

It is definitely fixable. Worse case scenario is you reinstall windows and just start all over.

type a website ipaddress in IE and see if it loads the site: ping 66.102.1.103
That is google.com. If it loads than the issue is likely the security program. Try uninstalling it.

Also it could be an isp issue with the DNS, give them a call

Now if that says page not found, then this means the router or modem is the cause.

Really I would start with using ethernet cable directly to the modem to test it out first.
Second I would use system restore and restore to a date when it worked. That alone could fix everything.

Connect you card to your machine. Then go to command prompt (run->cmd->enter) and enter this command; chkdsk /f X:
Replace the name of your card drive with X in above command.
If this helped, so OK, if not, try recover your data, using a good recover tool, and then discard that sd card!

Hi there,

I recently reformatted my computer and lost all the E-mail that was stored in Windows Live because I forgot to back it up, however when I look in my Windows.old Folder, I can do a search and the messages are all still there. But I want to be able to view those messages in Windows Live, not just in the Windows.old Folder. I can't seem to import them into Windows Live because Windows Live needs a pretty specific backup file. I also can't download one of those E-mail recovery programs because the files aren't deleted, they're just in another spot on the computer.

What should I do?

I don't know why this is happening, but maybe someone can help. I have a HP dv8000 laptop running wireless through a linksys router. Most programs that need to connect (AVG, Spybot, iTunes, etc.) keep telling me that my network is not available. I don't have this trouble with the same programs on my desktop. Another example is that most games (except CounterStrike, for whatever reason) won't connect in multiplayer mode. Any ideas??

Thanks in advance-

A:Problem with programs accessing the net

Make sure you don't use third party software for wireless connection. Use XP Wireless connection is faster.

Those a drops you're getting with the wireless connection either it coming from the router or something is making it happen. Micowave 2.4Ghz wireless phone things like that...

I've obviously done something qualifying my Silver surfer status that I need help with!

That's the message you get when the Store has been disabled. Enabling the Store using the tutorial below may be able to help with this if so.

A:Problem Accessing One Certain Site

Download CWShredder and run it. Click on 'I Agree' button if you agree with it. Click on 'Fix' (it will automatically fix anything it finds for you) and OK. If it asks if you want to delete a certain random file, choose No and post that filename here. Let it finish the scan and then hit Next and Exit.

Download and install Spybot S&D. Run Spybot and click on the 'Search for Updates' button. Install any updates that are available. Next click on the 'Check for Problems' button. Let it run the scan. If it finds something, check all those in RED and hit the Fix Selected Problems button. Exit Spybot. If you keep getting the DSO Exploit entries, even after you updated Windows and fixed them, then download the Spybot DSO Exploit Fix and install it over the current Spybot installation.

Please download Ad-aware SE and install it if you don't have it already. Make sure it's the newest version and check for any updates before running it. Also go here to get the plug-in for fixing VX2 variants. To run this tool, go into Ad-aware->Add-ons and select VX2 Cleaner. Then click Run Tool and OK to start it. If it's clean, it will say Status System Clean. Otherwise, you will have to click on the Clean button to remove the VX2 infection. Also make sure to customize the settings in Ad-aware for better scan results. Run the scan and fix everything that it finds.

Then click on Start Update.
The update will start and a progress bar will show the updates being installed.
If you are having problems with the updater, you can use this link to manually update Ewido
When you have finished updating, EXIT Ewido.

Next, please reboot your computer in Safe Mode by doing the following:
1) Restart your computer
2) After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, press F8.
3) Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu should appear
4) Use the up arrow key to highlight Safe Mode and press Enter.

Run Ewido with it's updated definitions:(...it's important that all windows must be closed) Click Scanner
Click Complete System Scan to begin scanning.
Click OK when prompted to clean files

Please download HijackThis - this program will help us determine if there are any spyware/malware on your computer. Create a folder at C:\HJT and move HijackThis.exe there. Double click on the program to run it.

1. If it gives you an intro screen, just choose 'Do a system scan and save a logfile'.
2. If you don't get the intro screen, just hit Scan and then click on Save log
and post it here. Do not fix anything in HijackThis since they may be harmless.

Hi all,

I have cable DSL plugged into PC (downstairs) and internet working fine. Next i set the wireless network up on this pc to connect to the upstairs network to supply internet to 4 pc's upstairs (all connected together via router).

The downstairs pc connects to the upstairs network fine. but then as soon as i try to access the internet on the downstairs PC, it appears to have gone off, although the PC is saying that it is connected to both the DSL and the upstairs network ok.

It seems as soon as i connect to the upstairs network, the PC throughs itself off the DSL.

Can I have 2 network connections going to the 1 PC? or is it a TCP/IP issue where your only allowed 1 TCP/IP connection?

any help apprciated!
Daz

A:2 networks on 1 pc, problem accessing internet

UPDATE:

Just to rule out anything, I disabled the wireless network and used another network card to connect to the upstairs network. Still the same problem, as soon as i plug the network cable in to upstairs, it accquires an I.P address and then the DSL connection that was working fine seems to drop.

its all a bit mad....

My Ami Pro 3.0 running in Windows 98 SE suddenly "can't find" the thesaurus. Spyware Stormer and Ad-aware Spyware were both installed at the time this corruption was noticed and could have contributed to the problem. McAfee virus scan shows no virus or malware on my computer. I reinstalled AmiPro and the "can't find thesaurus" problem remains after re-installation.

The detail reads: Samthes caused a general protection fault in module AMITHES.EXE at 002c:00000049. It lists a number of Registers, Bytes at CS:EIP, and Stack dump which are involved in the problem.

As far as I can tell, this is an isolated problem. Other than the thesaurus, everything else on my computer, a Sony laptop, appears to be working normally.

Can you tell me how to repair the problem?

Hi folks. I'm a newbie here so apologies if this has been covered before or I'm in the wrong forum.
I've just bought a Dell Inspiron 545 running Vista. I have an external raid consisting of two hard disks partition into one mirrored volume I call SAFE and the remainder of the space into a volume called BIG.
I've used this raid very happily on a five-year-old machine so I know it works.
The Dell sees both volumes as K for SAFE and L. But it will only allow me access into SAFE. When I attempt to access BIG it tells me access is denied. It also thinks there's no space on BIG when it's actually about 400gb.
It's been suggested to me that there's a problem with the bios but I wouldn't know my bios from my elbow. Can anyone help?

Regards

Windows XP-IE8-Dell Dimension 5150
Dear readers and Experts:

I am still using XP with Comodo Internet Security. For some reason 20% of "my favorites" can no longer be opened on my computer.

Either the website opens but the articles or links can not be accessed or I get a message stating that Internet Explorer can NOT open or access the website!

The sites exist!! Is this a problem with XP itself? IE8?, Cookies, or with Comodo settings?

I can access several of these sites using Chrome but not all.

Very frustrating,

Hi jayfcf... and Welcome to TSG..

Two possible alternatives.

First alternative...If your System restore is on (it's on by default), try to run a restore point prior to when you attempted the installation. This is the most desirable option.

Second alternative... On bootup, repeatedly tap the F8 key. When you get to a black screen with various alternatives available, using the arrow keys, highlight "last known good configuration", then hit "Enter".

If I click on Yes the message simply appears again. If I click on No the message goes away.

When I attempted to review this post using the Search for My Posts on this website, I received the following message

Hello,

I've added a new laptop to my home network (now 3 computers, all of them with win 7 ultimate 64) . I didn't use home group because i don't like it, so i configured everything manually and everything worked great, file sharing. printer sharing, everything.
And then I added a password to my user on the new laptop to protect it and the sharing between the laptop and the two other computers stopped working. when i try to access the laptop from another computer it reports i have no access, and when i try to access one of the computers from the laptop it asks for a user name and password.
i uninstalled firewall - didn't help. reinstalled. i removed the password - problem solved. added password again - problem returns.
all users on all computers are administrators.

maybe something about group policy...
anyone have an idea ?

A:Problem accessing computers in workgroup

Hello and welcome to the forum,

Does every PC on the network have the same username? I'm guessing that you dont have a password on the other PC's which have the shares on?

If so, add the same password to the other PCs and this should work again. When your computer attempts to access a share it will use the current username and password of the PC that you are logged on to as the default authentication credentials. So when you access a share it uses these credentials.

Another alternative is to make sure that the everyone group has full permissions on the shared folders on the other PCs. This needs to be done in both the Security tab and the Permissions tab within advanced sharing.

Hello,And welcome to BleepingComputer.com, before we can assist you with your question of: Am I infected? You will need to perform the following tasks and post the logs of each if you can.Malwarebytes Anti-MalwarePlease download Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and save it to your desktop.Download Link 1Download Link 2MBAM may "make changes to your registry" as part of its disinfection routine. If using other security programs that detect registry changes (ie Spybot's Teatimer), they may interfere or alert you. Temporarily disable such programs or permit them to allow the changes.Make sure you are connected to the Internet.Double-click on mbam-setup.exe to install the application.
For instructions with screenshots, please refer to the How to use Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware Guide. When the installation begins, follow the prompts and do not make any changes to default settings. When installation has finished, make sure you leave both of these checked:Update Malwarebytes' Anti-MalwareLaunch Malwarebytes' Anti-MalwareThen click Finish.MBAM will automatically start and you will be asked to update the program before performing a scan.If an update is found, the program will automatically update itself. Press the OK button to close that box and continue. If you encounter any problems while downloading the definition updates, manually download them from here and just double-click on mbam-rules.exe to install. On the Scanner tab:Make sure the "Perform Full Scan" option is selected. Then click on the Scan button. If asked to select the drives to scan, leave all the drives selected and click on the Start Scan button. The scan will begin and "Scan in progress" will show at the top. It may take some time to complete so please be patient. When the scan is finished, a message box will say "The scan completed successfully. Click 'Show Results' to display all objects found".Click OK to close the message box and continue with the removal process.Back at the main Scanner screen:Click on the Show Results button to see a list of any malware that was found.Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected. When removal is completed, a log report will open in Notepad. The log is automatically saved and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.Copy and paste the contents of that report in your next reply. Be sure to post the complete log to include the top portion which shows MBAM's database version and your operating system.Exit MBAM when done.Note: If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be asked to reboot your computer so MBAM can proceed with the disinfection process. If asked to restart the computer, please do so immediately. Failure to reboot normally (not into safe mode) will prevent MBAM from removing all the malware.SUPERAntiSpyware:Please download and scan with SUPERAntiSpyware FreeDouble-click SUPERAntiSypware.exe and use the default settings for installation. An icon will be created on your desktop. Double-click that icon to launch the program. If it will not start, go to Start > All Prgrams > SUPERAntiSpyware and click on Alternate Start. If asked to update the program definitions, click "Yes". Go to Start/Run and type chkdsk C: /R and press enter. The Command Prompt window appears (DOS). Now type a Y for Yes to run Check Disk at next bootup then manually reboot the computer. The Check Disk utility will run at next boot up and try and fix any file errors.
You also can download the ISO image for Seatools or Drive Fitness in my signature and burn the image to a CD using IMGBurn also in my signature. And boot off of the newly created CD and run the Quick and Advanced tests on the HDD.
