Preferred Solution: Strange Arabic like message in Internet Explorer

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/directdownload.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

When I right-click on a favorites folder in IE 64 is gives me this.

A:Internet Explorer 64-bit strange message pop-up

That particular program is probably "safe" from what can be gleaned from a google search >>

http://www.google.com/search?client=opera&rls=en&q=rarextloader.exe&sourceid=opera&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8

I don't quite understand why the "website wants to open web content" message is occuring if you do not have a website open though.

I picked up a virus/malware (don't really know the difference!?) when on a movie online site and i all of a sudden got a lot of IE pop-ups from various sites (zwinky/adultfriendfinder etc). I used Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and it seems to have cleared the pop-ups but it said not all trojans were deleted and they will be on reboot. It continued to delet after are rebooted but I got a strang message:

RunDLL

Error loading C:Users\Katie\AppData\Local\abutasoy.dll

The specified module could not be found

Have I got rid of the virus or is it still there - I'm running malwarbytes again.

Thanks

A:Arabic message at startup

Hello darknight99 and welcome to Seven Forums.

My first guess would be your computer picked up some malware. Update and run a full scan with your resident antivirus and antispyware. Then run a couple of on-demand scanners (all free) like Malwarebytes, HitmanPro, SuperAntispyware, Comodo Cleaning Essentials, etc. On-demand scanners offer another layer of security because there's no such thing as an antimalware product that's 100% effective 100% of the time. If there was such a thing we'd all be using it.

I looked up the IP address showing in your screen shot. It comes back to Pakistan Telecommunication Company LTD in Punjab. Do you have any connection with that company like are they your internet provider?

IP Address: 182.185.180.162

A:Solved: Internet connectivity..and strange error message

Do you know what pehpaahssd.exe is in the first place? I can't find anything at all on this file which always leads me to think it is an infection - "normal" files are readily found by a Google search. From your description I don't think it's a problem with your network settings - I do think these are connected.

I would download and run a FULL scan with the free version of Malwarebytes - this might take a hour.

Not sure what you mean. It sounds to me like the cable is getting yanked out w/o disengaging the clip. If so, then I suspect you have a damaged port or cable, which is giving intermittent service.

Hello johnksc,I see that you have posted a Hijackthis log here and that you are in the process of receiving help. You should refrain from asking for help from others while you are being instructed by the HJT Team, helping you with a Hijackthis Log. Any modifications you make can result in system changes which may not show it the log you already posted. Further, following advice outside of that post may cause confusion for the Helper assisting you and could complicate the malware removal process which would extend the time it takes to clean your computer. To avoid confusion, I am closing this topic. If you still need assistance after your log has been reviewed and you have been cleared, please start a new topic. If you have any questions, please PM me or another moderator and we will re-open this topic.

Ok, I'm relatively new at the whole computer thing and I know, "What took you so long?"

I have Windows XP but just recently, when I try to open Internet Explorer, it may take a few attempts before it opens.(ya' know the hourglass expires before anything happens) However, when I log off, ending program task panel opens, then ending program iexplore.exe opens and keeps opening for the amount of times I tried to open internet explorer.
This leads me to believe that it in fact opened somewhere but not anywhere I can see it. Also on occasion, the task panel will turn blue for quite sometime when I close out an open window.
I tried searching for an answer to this problem but to no avail, so any advice here would be most appreciated.

Open ie,
Hold Alt+ type TO or Gear symbol on the top right and Internet options,
Advanced section
Check the top box/ Use software rendering instead of gpu rendering/ Apply and Okay.
Also see if F12/ Browser mode and see if Compatibility view helps.

Please print out or copy this page to Notepad. Make sure to work through the fixes in the exact order it is mentioned below. If there's anything that you don't understand, ask your question(s) before proceeding with the fixes. You should not have any open browsers when you are following the procedures below.

Go to My Computer->Tools/View->Folder Options->View tab and make sure that 'Show hidden files and folders' (or 'Show all files') is enabled. Also make sure that Display the contents of System Folders' is checked. Windows XP's search feature is a little different. When you click on 'All files and folders' on the left pane, click on the 'More advanced options' at the bottom. Make sure that Search system folders, Search hidden files and folders, and Search subfolders are checked.

For the options that you checked/enabled earlier, you may uncheck them after your log is clean. If we ask you to fix a program that you use or want to keep, please post back saying that (we don't know every program that exists, so we may tell you to delete a program that we think is bad to keep).

Turn off system restore by right clicking on My Computer and go to Properties->System Restore and check the box for Turn off System Restore. Click Apply and then OK. Restart your computer. After we are finished with your log file and verified that it's clean, you may turn it back on and create a new restore point.

The Temp folders should be cleaned out periodically as installation programs and hijack programs leave a lot of junk there. Download Index.dat Suite to clean out all the temp folders. Do not run it yet.

Reboot into Safe Mode (hit F8 key until menu shows up). Make sure to close any open browsers.

Uninstall the following via the Add/Remove Panel (Start->(Settings)->Control Panel->Add/Remove Programs) if they exist:

Search Relevancy
Windows TaskAd

Run a scan in HijackThis. Check each of the following and hit 'Fix checked' (after checking them) if they still exist (make sure not to miss any):

R3 - Default URLSearchHook is missing
O2 - BHO: Search Relevancy - {1D7E3B41-23CE-469B-BE1B-A64B877923E1} - C:\PROGRA~1\SEARCH~1\SEARCH~2.DLL
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Windows TaskAd] C:\Program Files\Windows TaskAd\WinTaskAd.exe

Delete the following Files/Folders (delete folders if no filename is specified) according to their directory (if none, just do a search for them) and delete them if they exist:

C:\Program Files\Search (something)
C:\Program Files\Windows TaskAd\

Run Index.dat Suite now and go to Tools->Settings. Then make sure to check the following: Cookies, History, Recent Documents, Swap File (if you have Windows 95/98), Temporary Internet Files and Temp Files. Click Save at the bottom. Then click on the Find button. Let it search. Then click on the second button on the top. This will generate a batch file. Click Next->Next->Next and it will tell you that after the next reboot/restart the file should run by itself and clean out the temp folders. To make sure it's cleaned out, go into My Computer->C: Drive and double click on the run.bat file. After that you may delete that file if you want.

Reboot into Normal Mode and post a new HijackThis log file so we can make sure it's clean.

I am using Windows Vista Premium and Internet Explorer 7. While surfing the web once in a while I will come accross a webpage that shows up in a very strange script like text that I can't read. This doesn't happen on most web pages. And other computers display the text perfectly fine. I don't know how to discribe it so I included a picture. My only wildest guess is that one of my system fonts got messed up, but I don't know which one. Any help would be very appreciated.

A:Very Very Strange Problem with Internet explorer

For now, use the Internet Explorer (no add-ons)" versions. It's here:

Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> System Tools -> Internet Explorer (no add-ons)

Then replace rlcrvcc.dll. Just do a web search for it and save the new copy to c:\Windows\System32

GMER will open to the Rootkit/Malware tab and perform an automatic quick scan when first run. (do not use the computer while the scan is in progress)If you receive a WARNING!!! about rootkit activity and are asked to fully scan your system...click NO.Now click the Scan button. If you see a rootkit warning window, click OK.When the scan is finished, click the Save... button to save the scan results to your Desktop. Save the file as gmer.log.Click the Copy button and paste the results into your next reply.Exit GMER and be sure to re-enable your anti-virus, Firewall and any other security programs you had disabled.-- If you encounter any problems, try running GMER in safe mode.-- If GMER crashes or keeps resulting in a BSODs, uncheck Devices on the right side before scanning.Best Regards,oneof4.

Hi,
I'm having this problem for a long time and I don't know what it is and whats causing it and it's not just Internet Explorer, but Firefox as well and any other browser that I can think of.

If I open IE and close it and open Task Manager it shows me that I have IE opened, even if I closed it; I open IE again and after that close it, and shows me in TM that a new IE task appeared, and goes on and on and on. Every time I open an internet browser it show that I opened it twice but when closing it, remains on

Nothing on my taskbar but in TM it shows that I have IE opened 5 times

Can someone help me please, I hate closing each one all the time but I have to, PC slows down

Hi Guys,.

I have a minor problem with Internet Explorer. I have fixed my PC and Internet Connection and all was working fine. Check the Computer and you find that the Internet Connection is Working.

However, I tried to install Kaspersky Internet Security 2010 and it said unable to Contact server and terminated. When I checked I found that the Internet Explorer is not working. Neither can you open any program on the internet such as google.com, skype.com, cnn.com, yahoo.com etc. ( to be precise - NOTHING ) but surprising, what happens..... there you find that Microsoft Outlook is now downloading emails thru Internet.

A:Solved: Strange Behaviour With Internet Explorer ????

Well, e-mails and the Internet don't work in the same way.

Is KIS installed at all? If so, make sure it's completely removed. Read this for removal instructions.

If it still doesn't work, use the free Revo Uninstaller.

1. Download and install the software.
2. Run the software and it will display all the programs installed in your PC.
3. Select Kaspersky Internet Security 2010 and right click on the program's icon.
4. Select Uninstall and you will be redirected into step-by-step wizard to remove the software.

If still no luck, try a System Restore.

My internet is fine it connects to sites well but there is just one odd problem that I have had for a while now and it bothers me There are a few sites where if I try to access them it takes a VERY long time to load Considering I have DSL and that my internet is generally great with other sites this just should not be happening These sites can take over minutes to load and the sites are not astronomically large or anything it just takes such a long time to load Maybe it would help to get into detail on some of the websites that do this but the ones I can remember for now addictinggames com acronymfinder com only when I'm searching for an acronym miniclip com only when I start to play a game but still it should NOT take nearly as long as it does news google com most of the links there There are others but those are just ones coming off the top of my head Please help if possible I have no clue why certain sites take such a long time to load I know probably everyone is thinking quot because they're game websites quot but really I compare the speed of this to my Windows XP Internet all (Explorer, em) Mozilla, of Strange Problem laptop and they go at exactly the same rate with every website with exception to the ones displayed above EDIT It says I'm a WinXP user but this computer is actually older Windows ME In case that helps wanted to point that out

A:Strange Internet Problem (Explorer, Mozilla, all of em)

I haven't checked out the sites b/c I'm using dial up still (misses DSL)...

About 47 of these windows open up when trying to go to certain websites,
when running Network Diagnostics for Windows XP, and when I insert my Cruzer U3 Smart Dive into my computer. The only way to close them is to click the X in the top right corner. Selecting Yes or No does nothing.

This Window is behind the 47 others and also selecting OK or Show Details>> does absolutely nothing. It can only be closed by clicking the X. I cannot get these windows to stop popping up. Wondering if there might be a virus that the anti-virus (Norton) im running isn't finding. Any help would be appreciated.

A:Strange Internet Explorer Script Error

Also, when trying to open/scan with Norton anti-virus, the first window (the one that opens about 47 time) pops up and when I finish closing all the windows more pop up. This process never ends and Norton never even starts to open/scan. Please, any help will be appreciated.

If a message comes up evey few minuets or more saying that internet explorer encountered a problem and needs to shut down, is That really an internet explorer problem, or is it my computer??

Relevancy 54.18%

I've been getting an Internet Explorer message that says: Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close.

I've Googled it and tried everything I could find but, so far, nothing has worked. One suggestion I found was to disable debugging on Internet Explorer and I thought it worked, but it didn't. I still get the message, although not as often. I even uninstalled Internet Explorer and installed a fresh version and that didn't solve it.

At about the same time I first had this message I was also getting one that said Windows Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close. I haven't had that one for a while though.

Has anyone had this problem with Internet Explorer and, if so, do you know how to fix it?

Thank you.

In the future you can display this message by double - clicking the warning icon displayed in the status bar. And then it has a smaller box that contains the following.... Line 3.....Char: 1....Error: permission denied...Code: 0...URL: When I click o.k. it will not go away unless I keep clicking on it. The same as when I click on the close button.

When I click on IE, an error message pops up: Windows cannot find 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXE'. Make sure you type the name correctly and try again.
I also have Google Chrome, but it did not open either, and when I uninstalled GC, a window came up that said: Internet Explorer in Emergency Mode, Your copmuter is infected with malicious software and browse couldn't be launched.
Also, there was a Spyware popup that would not stop popping up, so I deleted some programs and it went away and hasn't popped up since, but my IE is still not opening, does this mean it deleted IE? Is there a way I can fix this?
I deleted my cookies, history, etc. I reseted IE. I tried to install another version of IE but it said that I couldn't because I already have a newer version?

Explorer (Internet Vs. Windows)-

What's the difference between Windows Explorer and Internet Explorer?

Actually, nothing. It's a program with a split-personality. The Internet Explorer side of the program is for surfing the web. The Windows Explorer side is used for exploring the files, folders, drives, and directories on your computer.

What's cool about it is they work very much alike. For example, click the Back button on Internet Explorer and you go back to the previous web page. Click the Back button on Windows Explorer and you go back to the previous folder (or file).

as far as windows explorer crashing that is not good at all...
please read several of these to get you started in the right direction...

I have a computer that runs Windows XP. When I try to open Internet Explorer I get the following message: iexplore.exe- entry point not found The procedure entry point SHRegGetValueW could not be located in the dynamic link library SHLWAPI.dll

This message occurred after I tried to repair Windows. I have tried uninstalling IE and reinstalling it. It will not reinstall on my computer because it says I don't have Sp2. I tried downloading Sp2 from the microsoft website and it won't download because I don't have IE. Also, after uninstalling IE I am unable to use some programs including Help Spot and System Restore.

I tried installing the SHLWAPI.dll file and it required Winzip to extract it. I tried installing Winzip and it wouldn't install due to a missing file.

A:internet explorer error message

Please do the following:

To check for and remove any Spyware or Adware that may be installed on your machine download, update, run, and fix ALL problems found by either program. You may need to reboot and have the scan run at startup. Run it again to make sure all components have been removed.

Ad-aware and Spybot:
http://spywareinfo.com/downloads.php?cat=sp#det

To check for a virus please visit one of the following sites for a free online virus scan. Even if you a virus scanner installed, this one gives you a second opinion, and it will be up-to-date which yours might not be.

Symantec:
http://securityresponse.symantec.com

Trend Micro:
http://housecall.trendmicro.com
If you have Kazaa, it has to go. Use Kazaa Begone to remove it and replace with Kazaa Lite. Kazaa is full of Spyware, Kazaa Lite is not. Both of these spread viruses.

Kazaa Begone:
http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/index.html

Kazaa Lite:
http://www.kazaalite.tk
Then post a Hijack This Log to have someone analysis it for further cleaning/recommendations.

Go to the start icon in the bottom left hand corner, click start, all programs, accessories, system tools, and then click internet explorer (no add-ons) mode. Does your browser work that way?

I'm running Windows Vista on my Dell Inspiron laptop.

Of late, I'm unable to access Internet Explorer - error message "The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000022)"

In safe mode however, I am able to access Internet Explorer.

After switching over to Normal mode, I get a Windows Defender security message informing me that an attempt to change my default was blocked -the "remove" spyware button is recessed, and I'm unable to use this option.

Any assistance will be highly appreciated.

The box pops up with this message:
Microsoft Internet Explorer

Click YES to complete your download

OK

The OK is in a box that looks like you should click it.
Sometimes this pops up with a smiley face ad or some other "click here to win" junk.

I would like to know how it got there to prevent it in the future and how to get rid of it.

Thank you.

When my wife logs into her windows 7 account and tries to open IE10, it gives her a message on the top of explorer of Not Responding... but Chrome will work ok. I have scanned for malware and viruses, etc., and it found a few instances of pup something, and uninstalled IE10 but IE9 does the same thing. If I log into my windows account, IE10 will work fine.
There was an issue last week where her favorites got hosed up and had empty folders created which matched the names of the folders she has setup in favorites. Plus, one particular entry in her favorites bar was replicated like 500 times... it was for a local nursing home. Any ideas what I might do to get IE working again?

A:Internet explorer needs to close message.

Hi, earthmud

Welcome!

There is no evident malware in that log. Lets take a deeper look:

Download WinPFind3U.exe to your Desktop and double-click on it to extract the files. It will create a folder named WinPFind3u on your desktop.

Open the WinPFind3u folder and double-click on WinPFind3U.exe to start the program.
In the Processes group click Non Microsoft
In the Win32 Services group click Non Microsoft
In the Driver Services group click Non Microsoft
In the Registry group click Non Microsoft
In the Files Created Within group click 60 days Make sure Non-Microsoft only is UNCHECKED
In the Files Modified Within group select 30 days Make sure Non-Microsoft only is UNCHECKED
In the File String Search group select Non Microsoft
In the Additional scans sections please press select All and uncheck non-microsoft only

Now click the Run Scan button on the toolbar.
The program will be scanning huge amounts of data so depending on your system it could take a long time to complete. Let it run unhindered until it finishes.
When the scan is complete Notepad will open with the report file loaded in it.
Save that notepad file
Use the Reply button and attach the notepad file here (Do not copy and paste in a reply, rather attach it to it).

Appreciate any help.

Line: 1344
Char: 1
Error: Invalid Argument
Code: 0
Url: res://C:\WINNT\System32\shdoclc.dll/preview.dlg

We found this to be an error in html code for certain web pages with a comment tag when it had the "=" in it. Removing the "=" or the comment all together got rid of print issues. Using Dreamweaver automatically created this comment.

I am trying to submit a resume through the internet to PNC Bank's web site and when I click on their link to get to the submit page, I get a new Internet window with this error message:

Insufficient encryption
This document requires a larger secret key size for encryption than your browser is capable of supporting.
Forbidden
The proxy's access control configuration denies access to the requested object through this proxy.

What does this mean and how can I fix it? I am running Windows Vista (new computer) and did this resume thing just last week on Windows XP on the same web site with my old computer with no problem. Please help Thanks!!!!!

Usually when I loose internet connection, the webpage on internet explorer reads 'this page cannot be displayed' but now its reading 'This page canrsquo;t be displayed'. When I refresh the page nearer my router, the webpage loads normally. I googled this and couldn't find anyone with the same problem. Is it something I should be worried about? Attached is a screenshot of what comes up. Thanks in advance.

Hi - I'm a new guy and here is my problem. Recently, when I attempt to print photos that have been e-mailed, the following error MSG. is displayed: "An error has occurred in the script on this page. Line 1174 Char 1 Error Unspecified error Code 0" This is followed by "URL res://C:\Windows\system32\shdoclc.dll/preview.dlg" I have no idea what all this means or what I need to do to fix it. Incidentally, it is not just photos, but it appears with any type of an illustration. Can you help me please. I'm not too swift with tech stuff so you may need to "go-by-the-numbers" with me. Thanks very much.

You can boot into msdos (hit f8 and select safe mode) boot into windows goto control panel click on "Add\Remove programs" find the program that she installed, select the button called unistalled or change follow the setup intructions to remove the application.

If that does not work you will have to restore a backup of the regstry. Boot into Msdos Mode (hit F8 after boot) at the command prompt type "scanreg" and select a date before the install of the application.

Hi Someone else made a post regarding this but it was Explorer Error Script Internet Message several weeks ago Ive never written on a forum so im not sure of the etiquette I wasnt sure how long it is until a post is considered inactive I posted on that as a reply as well so if it caused any problems I am sorry I did look at Internet Explorer Script Error Message the rules post but Internet Explorer Script Error Message didnt see anything about that This is my problem The problem started after my computer was infected with SpyFalcon using the steps on bleepingcomputer com i managed to rid my computer of it However in my pre-frustration and paranoia of all temp folders I deleted all of the files in c windows temp Now I am receiving Internet Explorer Script Error messages every few minutes regardless of the site I am on and even if there are no programs running even in the background What the Message Says An error has occurred in the script on this page Line Char Error object expected Code URL file c windows temp NDrXXX tmp html If I click yes or no if i want to continue running scripts it makes no difference I wrote NDrXXX because the letters are always different What I have tried - restored all of my internet explorer options to default and disabled error messages - installed internet explorer BETA - running panda scan adaware norton antivirus microsoft defender which found winlogon exe in my documents - lowered resulution and colour quality - downloaded all new updates - reinstalled many new programs - cursing at my computer Unfortunately nothing has worked Also i think this might be connected every so often since the script error problem occurred I also received error messages regarding ActiveX controls it claims that ActiveX is trying to download but that it is unable to because of security settings However even if i adjust the settings in internet explorer i get this same error even if no programs are running My Specs I have a one year old fairly fast Dell computer which came preloaded with windows XP Home I use Norton Antivirus AntiSpyware edition which is also my firewall Any help would be greatly appreciated Colin

Sorry no one got back to ya!It sounds to me like you might still be infected with something. Rarely does a computer have only one infection. To find out for sure, I would like to refer you to the Highjack This (HJT) forum here at BleepingComputer.com: First: Read the Preparation Guide found HERE. It is very important that you follow ALL of the instructions found within. (There are many important steps in this guide that may clean your computer.) Second: Post your system information along with a brief description of the problems you are having, and your HJT log in the HJT forum found HERE.NOTE: Please, after you post your HJT log DO NOT make another post in the HJT forum until it has been responded to by a member of the HJT Team. The first thing they look for, when looking for logs to reply to, is 0 replies. If you make another post there will be 1 reply. The team member glancing over the replies might think someone is already helping you out and will not respond. So, just make your post and let it sit there until a team member responds. The volunteers who work that forum are very busy, so please be patient and wait. It can sometimes take a few days for a response. If after 5 days you still have gotten no response, then post a link to your HJT log HERE.Third: If, after finishing your work with the folks at the HJT forum you have issues with XP related to the removal of the infection, then come back in here and let us help you get your computer back to normal. You are in good hands! Good luck!

Hi, Yesterday I started receiving an error message box when I close any site The error I receive is Internet Explorer encountered an problem and needs to close. It says below debug then send report and don't send report. This is to Microsoft.

Sometimes this happens but rarely when I am surfing the site.
I have scanned using AVG antivirus, spy-bot and Adware. No malware has been detected.
Please advise.

When I first enter Internet Explrer (version 7) I get the following error message:
"This page is accessing information that is not under its control. This poses a security threat etc....."

As I say, this happens upon opening IE (Yahoo.com) and before entering any particular sites. I use Win XP Pro.

Any ideas as to what it is and how I get rid of it?

Thanks

Phil

Hi there and welcome!

What version of Internet Explorer are you using?? Perhaps your browser has been hijacked or corrupted in some way. If it's possible, see if you can provide a little more detail or insight to this problem. (Did IE ever work properly.....what else is running or active as far as programs when this happens...etc. etc.) One of our experts may have you run and produce a HijackThis log for further diagnosis but don't do it unless someone specifically asks you to.

Good Luck !
