Trouble accessing Internet

Q: Trouble accessing Internet

I have a Dell desktop with wifi. It can see the AP (very strong signal), but it cannot access the internet ("limited conductivity"). I tried cycling power on the modem and AP which helped temporarily. Reboot does nothing. There are 3 other notebooks that have full access to the internet thru wifi to the same AP and cable modem.

The Dell has Vista op sys, and I've run thru all the diagnostics with no real solution. This pc normally uses a wired connection with no problem.

What should I look at to get this going?

Thx

Preferred Solution: Trouble accessing Internet

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/directdownload.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

So you must be using a USB Wireless adapter? Have you installed the software for it?

I have a home network and 1 computer cannot access the internet through the browsers. I have tried ie7 and firefox. The computer seems to access the internet because adaware and spysweeper can download updates. I have also played a multiplayer gameonline on this computer. When I open a browser it says www.yahoo.com found, waiting for reply, and stops there. I cannot access my router from that computer either. The other computers on the network seem fine.

When I ran spy sweeper in found a pws.banker trojan which it removed.

I with Trouble Vista accessing internet have a really weird problem and I m hoping you can help me figure out what the problem is I have locations in my house that have internet access via a Trouble accessing internet with Vista LAN we ll call them A B and C All three of them have working Internet signals sent to them by a router and all computers at those locations have XP I recently bought a new computer which has Vista on it I took it to location C and plugged it in Everything worked fine and it immediately detected the internet I decided to move it and took it to location B and plugged it in Everything worked fine and it immediately detected the internet I decided to move it again and took it to position A and plugged it in The system came up but it could not detect the internet I didn t understand this so I moved the Vista computer back to location B and moved the computer at B to A to see if I could replicate the lost internet problem The vista computer at location B detected the internet The old computer at position A detected the internet Which is where the vista computer could not detect the internet I then moved the Vista computer back to position A and it still could not detect the internet Do you have any idea why Vista could not detect the internet at position A while other XP computers could I understand this is kind of strange and I apologize in advance if I didn t word it very well Thanks nbsp

A:Trouble accessing internet with Vista

What is the brand and model of the router? Do you have any other equipment on the network (such as a switch or hub)?

Please show for the working PC and the problem PC connected at position A ...

Start, Run, CMD, OK to open a command prompt:
(For Vista type CMD in the Search box after Start)

Type the following command:

IPCONFIG /ALL

[Note that there is no space between the slash and ALL.]

Right click in the command window and choose Select All, then hit Enter.
Paste the results in a message here.

If necessary use a text file and removable media to copy the results to a computer with internet access.

I'm running windows xp professional, and I've been having trouble accessing web-based email services (hotmail, yahoomail, and also a private microsoft exchange server web interface) from my computer. I've tried using both firefox and internet explorer. When attempting to load my hotmail or yahoo inbox in ie, the page simply never loads. When I try in Firefox, I get an error message that reads "the document contains no data." I am able to access my inbox at the exchange server, but am unable to send emails.

I also can't access my online banking (fleet.com), and have had trouble posting to some tech support forums. I thought it was a problem with secure sites, but I am able to access some secure sites.

All of these services are fully available from a friend's computer running on the same internet connection, through the same router, so it's a problem specific to my machine. Any help?

Any chance you have a Linksys BEFSX41 (Or whatever with the firewall), and just updated the Firmware? The Linksys 1.51 firmware WON'T WORK with DSL. You need to go back to 1.45 - OR disable the firewall in 1.51's firmware (that sure is stupid!!!).

This is a known Linksys issue. If you are not using a Linksys - I have no clue...

Whenever my computer updates itself, I have problems accessing the internet. Specifically... whenever I open Firefox or Internet explorer, I can access the internet for a very limited time, then nothing. For example, I can visit one, maybe two pages, then I can't access anything, until I restart the computer. To solve this problem, I have to do a system restore.... if I restore my system to a point to say, 2 - 4 weeks earlier, the problem goes away. But I don't think this will work forever. Any advice will be appreciate. Thanks.

A:Trouble accessing internet after updates

There is an underlying issue here. Is your Windows legit? Run a scan with MBAM. Is your hosts file clean? Run a scan iwth Kaspersky TDSS Killer, run the System File Checker.

I have been having trouble accessing the internet. When I click on internet to run, nothing happens. I can click on it several times and nothing happens. I have to restart my computer and then if I am lucky it will start, but not always. I have ran avast, Malware bytes, Superspyware, and Eusing Registry cleaner, smart PC Care and Adv. System Optimizer and they have found nothing. I am running Windows XP -Media Center Edition/svc pack 3. I am also using Foxfire as the browser, and when I do seem to get on, the tool bar does not allow me much access, I can not access anything up at the top of the tool bar once internet is open. Please help, I believe I have something on here that I can not find.

It could be some sort of malware.
First thing to try is accessing the site in Internet Explorer. Then you need to make sure your computer is free of viruses!

This is kind of an odd problem and I've tried looking for a solution online but I'm not quite sure how to search.

Basically my computers a couple of years old and I've never had any problems like this with it before, I run XP home with SP 1.

I have a cd writer, and a dvd drive, and I just noticed today that I cannot access either of them. When I went into my hardware profile/device manager
not only are the specific drives not listed I have no general entrie for CD/DVD drives, so I can't even try to reinstall them.

Anyone ever had a similar problem or know where I can look for a solution?

Thanks!

I friend of mine recently removed some maleware from my computer (he is much more computer savy that I). However, after removing the maleware I am having problems with loging into sites where I have a password using both IE or Firefox. For intance, I can pull up the webpage for my bank, but I get an IE error message "page cannot be displayed" when I try to click through to my account (this is the same for my airline and school web accounts) or a Firefox error message "The connection was refused when trying to access...". I also have trouble with accessing pages where I need to download - such as Microsoft.com and downloading service pack SP2 - express install - it gives me [Error number: 0x8024502D].

I'm trying to go on to http://www.guitarshredshow.com, but when I try, I receive the typical "operation timed out" error, BUT the site background, title, and little URL-window-icon show up. this is probably because the site's an Angelfire domain and i can never get on those, i think because i live in China and either China has banned, or has been banned by Angelfire. so anyway, is there any way i can access this site? i've tried using proxify but that didn't work. any help will be much appreciated, thanks!

A:Having trouble accessing a site..

sorry, would have edited but i took too long - i've confirmed that angelfire is indeed banned by china's great firewall, so now my question is if there's any way to access the site through the national firewall? OR if some kind, knowledgeable soul would mind saving the flash app on the website and mailing it to me at superdigg-at-gmail.com?

I tried accessing my HD [with xp on it] from my dead desktop through a usb interface to my laptop. got access, then tried to start xp through usb but it failed. tried to get into win 7 boot menu to change to dual boot, had to change permissions but it still failed. tried to reverse permissions but got many error messages, canceled and then restarted computer, would not start. used a win 7 disc to get into restore and restored to this morning before O did anything to computer. Now I cannot access device manager and many other programs get error message "windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. you may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item."
tried to install speedy but got error message "shellexecuteex failed; code 5.
access is denied"
any help would be appreciated.

A:trouble accessing services

I would recommend you download D7 (download link near bottom of page), and once open navigate to "Maintenance" and find "Repair Permissions" (Edit: they keep updating this program and mine is out of date, "repair permissions" might be under another section by now, just look around). That takes a long time to run but should be successful in resetting all your permissions the way they should be.

Also note: You cannot boot Windows using a different computer than it was installed on. Whenever you change the motherboard or the CPU it is necessary to re-install Windows. You should still be able to retrieve all your files as necessary, however. Also note that in the future attempting to boot to a USB device should probably be done by using the BIOS's Boot Menu rather than configuring Windows Boot Manager.

it gives me the invalid syntax page and tells me to open the home page. This has got to be a settings problem, but I can't find where to change it. Any help is appreciated.

Hey everyone,
I'm a new member... and I reeeaalllyyy need your help. My parents just got me a new laptop and it has Windows 7 on it. I'm entirely at a loss when it comes to this system... so I figured this forum looked promising. I'm having trouble accessing just this ONE website. Everytime I type in the address or even when I access it through google search, I always get a message concerning the connectivity or "broken link". I had a few friends trying going on it and they don't have this problem.

If I can get any suggestions at all that can help me out, I'll thank you all very much!

Since last night, I've been having trouble accessing Google and Gmail. At times it will load and then it will display an error message saying the connection was reset. This happens in both Firefox and IE8 and also on my Mac. This also only happens at night (both Google and Gmail work fine during the day). All other websites work fine.

I've restarted my computer, cleared my cache, and reset the modem but nothing seems to be working. I use Windows 7 and my internet provider is HughesNet.

Please do this.
Hold the Windows key and press R, then type CMD to open a command prompt:

In the command prompt window that opens, type type the following command:

TRACERT mcafee.com

Wait for the trace to complete, then right click in the command window and choose Select All, then hit Enter to copy the contents to the clipboard.
Paste the results in a message here.

If you are on a machine with no network connection, use a floppy, USB disk, or a CD-RW disk to transfer a text file with the information to allow pasting it here.

Recently I have had problems accessing particular websites and certain programs and other auto redirects. I have attempted to perform a system restore but everytime I attempt to open the program a blank white screen appears. Also I cannot access hotmail.com and site links don't automatically appear in new windows. The last and most confusing thing to me is the different windows I have open do not appear on the start bar so I can toggle between them.

Errors I have Noticed:

1. Padexe.exe -- always sends an error report at every restart
2. The System Event Log shows many recent errors:
A. srservice event 104
B. srservice event 110
(These are notable to but I have many recent errors)

Thanks for you help!

Hi

When I try accessing a spreadsheet via its short cut I get 3 error messages before some spreadsheets will load. Example.
First try I get "C:\documents.xls, could not find spreadsheet"

Second try I get "and.xls, could not find spreadsheet"

Third try I get "settings\dad\desktop\2007ACC.xls, could not find spreadsheet"

Forth try I finally get the spreadsheet sometimes.

These error messages come up on every spreedsheet. In some I can't access the spreadsheet at all. I have even tried creating a new spreadsheet with the same results.

Any help will be much appreciated.

Hello:
I have a USR8700 (NAS) storage server. I can initiate the storage system console from my desktop and see the MAC address, IP Address, & Subnet mask. The problem I have, I was troubleshooting another issue and changed a setting. Once that changed, I cannot access the admin page to reset the setting back, nor can I access the NAS from another computer. To explain it, I had my "workgroup" named. I changed the toggle from "Get an IP address automatically" to "Use this IP Address", set an IP address in, and applied.

Now I cannot access the admin page to switch it back to obtaining an IP automatically.

Can anyone shed some insight as to a solution?

ANY help is appreciated.

Thanks,
Rob

Whenever I try to access some folders, Such as My Pictures, and other folders on my hard drive; my entire Windows Explorer freezes up as I try to scroll through the list of files. I've also noticed that it only does it in thumbnail view. I usually end up having to cntl+alt+delete and ending task. Then waiting for Windows Explorer to boot back up. Any ideas why my folders freeze up?

A:[SOLVED] Trouble Accessing Folders

did you try a different view. have you got lots of files stored in that particular folder.
my recomendation would be is to go to your local c drive and make a new folder called pictures and copy all the data there and remove the previous folder. this should speed it up.
also go to start all programs, accessories, system tools, disk defragment and defrag your hard drive.

right click on you c drive or if could be d just check click, choose properties, choose the tools tab, click check now for error, it will ask you to restart and choose yes. when your pc start up or boots it will give a blue screen and will check the files not the blue screen of death.
also what antivirus and antspyware are you using and have you scanned your pc lately. i say this because malware can use the explorer atribute.
i would also recommend using process explorer but not now just try some of the aboe suggestion , then get back to me.

When I try accessing a spreadsheet via its short cut I get 3 error messages before some spreadsheets will load. Example.
First try I get "C:\documents.xls could not find spreadsheet"

Second try I get "and.xls could not find spreadsheet"

Third try I get "settings\dad\desktop\2007ACC.xls could not find spreadsheet"

Forth try I finally get the spreadsheet sometimes.

These error messages come up on every spreedsheet. In some I can't access the spreadsheet at all.

Someone had the solution but I lost it and can't seem to find it again.

Any help will be much appreciated.

Hi kreed614,
Let us try to uninstall a program in safe mode with networking and check if it wokrs. Please refer following link to get into safe mode with networking: Safe Mode

In order to uninstall a program in Safe mode, we need to install SafeMSI. Use the following link to download and install SafeMSI: JSI Tip 9233. SafeMSI.exe freeware starts Windows Installer in Safe Mode.
Now, try to uninstall any program now.

Also, we can run a scan on the computer to check for virus or spyware. Restart the computer to normal mode. Refer the link to download Microsoft Security Essentials and Malwarebytes.
Microsoft Security Essentials: |MG| Microsoft Security Essentials for Windows 4.1.0522.0 Download
Malwarebytes: Malwarebytes : Malwarebytes Anti-Malware removes malware including viruses, spyware, worms and trojans, plus it protects your computer
Download and install the programs, Run a complete scan using both the software?s.

Hi,

I'm trying to download, open, and log-in to Options360, a proprietary platform of TDAmeritrade. If successful, I should get an icon on my desktop from which to open subsequent uses of the platform. I have not been able to get the icon on my desktop yet. I can get to the login screen, but I get a message that says I am already logged in, yet if I try any of the applications in the program, none of them work.

I did talk with a techie at TD who said that Options360 will run with 32bit Vista, but not 64. But from my research, Vista64 has WoW64 which should allow the program to run (correct?).

I'm not a techie of any sort, I just want the program to work so I can use it for a class I'm taking with them, but they seem to be unable to help me.

Anyone run into this who can help?

Thanks

Uninstall it and reinstall it again. You might not have it set up right as in where it's being ask to download to/folder.

If you still have this problem try other Program like Bearshare

And see if you still have this problem, then you will know it's just may be winMx it's self. Also with Hostile host/clients they may block your Ip if your trying to click on 100 hosts for files at once.

A couple of weeks ago, I was using my computer, when a power cut struck. When it ended, I logged back onto my user account and tried to access my internet, but nothing happened. I tried to access my documents...nothing happened. I couldn't access ANYTHING on my user except Windows Task Manager. I tried signing into another account and this was fine, so I created a new account and transferred my documents and other items over.

Earlier today, there was another power cut whilst using my computer, and the same thing has happened again. I've tried re-starting, but that doesn't work. I just cannot access anything at all, no matter how hard I try.

Does anybody know what the problem could be, and if so, is there a way of fixing it? I feel like screaming at the moment!

Thanks in advance.

A friend, normally US-based, is traveling in Italy and is having some problems getting to the US-based web sites she needs.
For example, if she goes to a well known website like Netflix, (even if she clicks on the favorites bar or keeps writing www.netflix.com in,) it switches over to https://signup.netflix.com/global and won?t change back.
Has anyone had similar problems? Solutions?

A:Traveling overseas, trouble accessing websites

Yeah, that is a problem - especially in the bigger European countries. You always get the local flavors. I have the same problem in Germany and France. It takes some searching and the use of different search engines (Bing, Google, etc.).

Sometimes the webpages themselves have the option to switch to a different country. Be on the lookout for that.

I was moving some files between my external hard drive and computer, but my cat knocked over the external, causing it to disconnect. I am now having trouble accessing the hard drive. I'm thinking that the hard drive became corrupt (like when it does not get safely removed). I've tried to use Testdisk to try to repair the hard drive, but I keep getting "Partition: Read Error". I cant access the hard drive at all, but it does get detected by the computer. Is the data still salvageable? The drive is a 1TB toshiba external SATA drive.

Are all computers Win XP Pro SP2?If so, they will all have a networking wizard which should help you set up your new network.

I am having a similar problem where a partition is not accessible and when I click on properties I get a message that recycle bin is corrupted. I have a win7 OEM Home edition and one feature that I do not see is the security tab in Properties that many of you have mentioned as a means to resolve this issue.
Any suggestions are much appreciated.
Thanks in advance for any and all considerations in this matter.

A:I am having trouble accessing a partition on an external drive.

I am having trouble accessing a partition on an external drive. Other partitions on that drive are accessible. When I click on properties for that partition, I get an message saying that the recycle bin is corrupted, do i want to empty it? I saw elsewhere in forums that others were having similar problem and that this was recommended as a solution. I downloaded the zip file, followed the instructions and when I click on properties for that partition I still do not get the option of taking ownership.
??????
Will try rebooting to see if that helps. Otherwise any and all consideration in this matter is appreciated.

Dear Team:
I can not get to the site (update.charter.net) to download their F security software. I also can't load pages of stories on MSNBC.com. Is some kind of malware stopping me from loading these pages? I had to remove Zone Alarm's Free Firewall, Norton and Avast Antivirus - Adaware 6.0 and Spybot Search and Destroy so I can load the new security software from charter.net.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Download AVG Anti-Spyware from http://www.ewido.net/en/download/ and save that file to your desktop. Note: This is NOT the Anti Virus from AVG.When the trial period expires it becomes feature-limited freeware but is still worth keeping as a good on-demand scanner.1. Once you have downloaded AVG Anti-Spyware, locate the icon on the desktop and double click it to launch the set up program.2. Once the setup is complete you will need run AVG Anti-Spyware and update the definition files.3. On the main screen select the icon "Update" then select the "Update now" link.o Next select the "Start Update" button. The update will start and a progress bar will show the updates being installed.4. Once the update has completed, select the "Scanner" icon at the top of the screen, then select the "Settings" tab.5. Once in the Settings screen click on "Recommended actions" and then select "Quarantine".6. Under "Reports"o Select "Automatically generate report after every scan"o Un-Select "Only if threats were found"Close AVG Anti-Spyware. Do Not run a scan just yet, we will run it in safe mode.1. Reboot your computer into Safe Mode. You can do this by restarting your computer and continually tapping the F8 key until a menu appears. Use your up arrow key to highlight Safe Mode then hit enter.IMPORTANT: Do not open any other windows or programs while AVG Anti-Spyware is scanning as it may interfere with the scanning process:2. Launch AVG Anti-Spyware by double clicking the icon on your desktop.3. Select the "Scanner" icon at the top and then the "Scan" tab then click on "Complete System Scan".4. AVG will now begin the scanning process. Please be patient as this may take a little time.Once the scan is complete, do the following:5. If you have any infections you will be prompted. Then select "Apply all actions."6. Next select the "Reports" icon at the top.7. Select the "Save report as" button in the lower lef- hand of the screen and save it to a text file on your system (make sure to remember where you saved that file. This is important).8. Close AVG Anti-Spyware and reboot your system back into Normal Mode.Post the log from AVG and a new HiJack log

Hello. I'm running Win 8.1 Embedded on an Asus laptop. I want to "disable driver signature enforcement," so that I can use a device that doesn't have a signed signature. I've tried the various methods to get to the setting where I click restart and reboot into the settings prompt, but after I click restart, the PC just boots normally and I never get to the screen with all the startup options.
I've been browsing for a while and have found a few others with this same issue but no resolution. Here's one for example:

Even though it appears you're having the same problem, please start a new thread when you have a new issue. It's very difficult to keep two problems straight and who's working on what in a single thread.

I've created a new thread for your issue here.

My computer is connected wirelessly to a Linksys router, which is connected to the internet through a modem/router that my ISP provided. When I enter 192.168.0.1, I am taken to the configuration page for my ISP's router. How do I access the Linksys router's configuration page?

I have tried all sorts of combinations of 192.168.x.x, but nothing has worked. Is there a way to figure out the address the Linksys router's configuration page? ...or is there a reason I am unable to access it?

Hi,

I have a Dell Inspiron with the the new Windows Visa OS. I'm attempting to use my LaCie d2 Hard Drive Extreme (160gb). When i plug it in the computer only partially recognizes it. If I go to "manage" my computer and then storage, the device appears there. it doesn't, however, appear under the My Computer main page (the one with the main internal drive, and the cd/dvd drive...etc.)

Any ideas why the computer isn't allowing me to access the drive? If so, what do i do?

Hi and welcome to TSF. . .

One thing I'd like to look at first is a file contained within the Vista driver folder that may contain web site names/url's.

Go into Windows Explorer then Computer. Your looking for the following:

c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc (subfolders of each other)

Is there a file named hosts?

Upload it placing a .txt on the end and attach it to a post and I'll take a look. OK?

Windows 7
Lenovo Y580 2011 model
Recently installed/swapped out for a new SSD and spent the past few days installing windows updates and other programs I needed.

It was only until today did I bother /have a need to access my windows firewall settings. Upon opening Windows firewall with Advanced Security window I am met with a:

There was an error opening the Windows Firewall with Adv security snap in  /  the snap in failed to load.

I ran a few quick scans with Malwarebytes Anti malware but those were all PUP files (still had them removed, then restart but same issue)
since I only checked today I can't tell how long this has been an issue.

am I infected? should I restore my computer to a early point before some of the windows security updates?

I'm so surprised.

A:Trouble accessing Windows Firewall Error Code: 0x6D9

Hello, I highly doubt you are infected. Windows Firewall is causing the issue, to solve this problem I recommend downloading Windows Repair and following my steps.

Step 1. Install the program

Step 2. Drain all the power in your computer by unplugging all cords and taking out the battery. After that keep pressing the power button a few times like you are turning it on to drain the power left in your computer.

Step 3. Put the battery back in and the power cord (if you need one) and turn on your computer.

Step 4. Run Windows Repair and select the Step 5 tab (Backup). Next press backup under Registry Backup. You may want to create a restore point too, which is next to it.

Step 5. Go onto the Repair tab and click Open Repairs and make sure you have Registry Permissions, File Permissions, WMI and Windows Firewall checked. When ready click Start Repairs and wait until it has finished.

Step 6. When it has finished copy the log in the Log tab and post it onto this topic.

Step 7. Wait for me to reply

Thanks Aramus

I'm running windows xp and have linux installed on a separate hard drive. The drive doesn't show up in my computer and windows explorer isn't able to let me view the files. The drive shows in disk management, but does not have a letter assigned to it, nor am I able to assign a letter to it. The Linux hard drive has a ext3 partition and a 2gb swap partition on it. I need to access the ext3 partition. Any help is appreciated. Is there anyway to make windows explorer able to view the files on the ext3 partition on the linux drive?

*edit* nevermind, I got it to work using ext2IFS

Hello I am having trouble accessing the admin page for my wireless d-link wbr-2310 router. I have used ipconfig command on a laptop to see what the default gateway ip was which I have heard is the ip of the router and it was set at 192.168.1.1 which is the ip to the sonicwall firewall. I know the routers factory default ip should be 192.168.0.1 but for some reason it had changed to the ip of the sonicwall and now I am unable to access the config page for the router. I have used the reset button on the back numerous times and the ip still remains 192.168.1.1 and does not go back to the factory default. Any insight to this problem would be greatly appreciated. Let me know if more info is needed for a diagnosis of this problem thanx.

Hello,And welcome to BleepingComputer.com, before we can assist you with your question of: Am I infected? You will need to perform the following tasks and post the logs of each if you can. Please download and run Security Check from HERE, and save it to your Desktop. * Double-click SecurityCheck.exe * Follow the onscreen instructions inside of the black box. * A Notepad document should open automatically called checkup.txt; please post the contents of that document.Malwarebytes Anti-MalwareNOTEMalwarebytes is now offering a free trial of their program, if you want to accept it you will need to enter some billing information, so that at the end of the trial you would be charged the cost of the product. Please decline this offer, if you are unable to provide billing information. If you want to try it out, then provide the billing information. Please download Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and save it to your desktop.Download Link 1Download Link 2MBAM may "make changes to your registry" as part of its disinfection routine. If using other security programs that detect registry changes (ie Spybot's Teatimer), they may interfere or alert you. Temporarily disable such programs or permit them to allow the changes.Make sure you are connected to the Internet.Double-click on mbam-setup.exe to install the application.
For instructions with screenshots, please refer to the How to use Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware Guide. When the installation begins, follow the prompts and do not make any changes to default settings. When installation has finished, make sure you leave both of these checked:Update Malwarebytes' Anti-MalwareLaunch Malwarebytes' Anti-MalwareThen click Finish.MBAM will automatically start and you will be asked to update the program before performing a scan.If an update is found, the program will automatically update itself. Press the OK button to close that box and continue. If you encounter any problems while downloading the definition updates, manually download them from here and just double-click on mbam-rules.exe to install. On the Scanner tab:Make sure the "Perform Full Scan" option is selected. Then click on the Scan button. If asked to select the drives to scan, leave all the drives selected and click on the Start Scan button. The scan will begin and "Scan in progress" will show at the top. It may take some time to complete so please be patient. When the scan is finished, a message box will say "The scan completed successfully. Click 'Show Results' to display all objects found".Click OK to close the message box and continue with the removal process.Back at the main Scanner screen:Click on the Show Results button to see a list of any malware that was found.Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected. When removal is completed, a log report will open in Notepad. The log is automatically saved and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.Copy and paste the contents of that report in your next reply. Be sure to post the complete log to include the top portion which shows MBAM's database version and your operating system.Exit MBAM when done.Note: If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be asked to reboot your computer so MBAM can proceed with the disinfection process. If asked to restart the computer, please do so immediately. Failure to reboot normally (not into safe mode) will prevent MBAM from removing all the malware.SUPERAntiSpyware:Please download and scan with SUPERAntiSpyware FreeDouble-click SUPERAntiSypware.exe and use the default settings for installation. An icon will be created on your desktop. Double-click that icon to launch the program. If it will not start, go to Start > All Prgrams > SUPERAntiSpyware and click on Alternate Start. If asked to update the program definitions, click "Yes".
