Preferred Solution: Windows Live Mail 2012 to stop support of Microsoft-based e-mail

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/directdownload.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

I had an email at the end of last year from Microsoft saying that things were going to change but last night I received this Dear User Earlier this year we introduced a new Outl ook com that will help you collaborate with 2012 for Mail to support Windows discontinue Live Microsoft others focus on what matters and get more done The new Outlo ok com delivers an exciting set of new experiences across web phone and desktop and we re eager for you to start using it It appears that you are currently using Microsoft to discontinue support for Windows Live Mail 2012 Windows Live Mail to connect to your Out look com account Windows Live Mail does not support the synchronization technologies used by the new Outl ook com When account upgrades begin at the end of June you will no longer be able to receive email sent to your Out look com account in Windows Live Mail Rest assured you can always access your email by logging into Out look com from any web browser and you will continue to have access to all your data that is currently in Windows Live Mail If you currently use Windows Live Mail we recommend that you switch to the Mail app in Windows to day The Mail app is built in to Windows and Windows and has a more modern design To begin using it simply launch the app and add your Out look com account If you are using Windows you can upgrade to a newer version of Windows to enjoy the Mail app and the other benefits If you do not wish to upgrade you can access your account via a web browser or you can take advantage of a free one-year subscription of Office Personal and use Outl ook to connect to your account This Off ice subscription also includes other productivity applications such as Word PowerPoint and Excel It works on Windows Windows and Windows Please take action before Ju ne th which is when we ll begin upgrading accounts that currently use Windows Live Mail If you have more questions please find answers to common FAQs in this help article or you can contact Microsoft support We recognize that changes like this can be difficult and apologize for any inconvenience this causes you We hope that you ll enjoy the benefits of moving to the new Outl ook com Sincerely Outl ook com team First off - it is definitely genuine it's not a scam email pretending to be from Microsoft but actually isn't I am signed up to receive updates like this from Microsoft The trouble for me is this I dislike browser-based email with a passion The built-in email app with Windows is OK but it does not work the way I work - for instance I like to drag emails out of the program and onto my desktop for easy ready reference and then file them into folders so I can access them anytime I want without having to be online if need be Also it isn't configurable enough - you're given a layout that you can't change I wonder if it would be possible for them to patch WLM to be compatible - I can't be the only one that will have to severely change the way I do computing because of this - or otherwise find a different email provider Anyone else any thoughts on this Ideas Suggestions Comments Please no Microsoft-bashing though - it might be how you feel but it doesn't help anyone not really and is totally unproductive IMHO Edit Please note the forum software has totally messed up the layout of the email I pasted in it is far more professional than how it has been rendered above

A:Microsoft to discontinue support for Windows Live Mail 2012

First off - it is definitely genuine;

Yes it is.  I have seen a few articles about this.

The trouble for me is this: I dislike browser-based email with a passion.

Me too, as a Linux user I use Thunderbird. I probably wouldn't use the email account if I was forced to do it browser based.

I only created a MS account when I tried Windows 10 so it wont bother me. I also have an icloud account that I never access from my PC, a good email client set up right cant be beat.

I have an Windows (Vista) notebook with outlook 2007, and now I have an new notebook with Windows 8.1. Where I want to export my mail & contact to Windows live mail, how can I import this in WLM on my other notebook?

I already have configure my mail on WLM where I can receive and send messages. I tried something with the program Mailstore 8 but my mail is now on another computer.

I also find this link: how to export mail, calendar contact in outlook to windows live mail clientWith the "Outlook Conversion Application" solution but is this possible on different computers and has WLM an import function?

A:Export mail and contacts from Outlook 2007 to Windows live mail 2012?

Don I might be way off track here mate but was the Outlook account the same email address as you have set up in WLM?

Just a thought you might try adding an account to WLM using the old address and password. I did this with my old account from my service provider then went to a Hotmail account.
Now admittedly it was still within WLM but worth a try.

What I will do is try and add my work account (Outlook) to my WLM and see if it works.

PS It added the account but I have to get the POP and STMP settings right first.

I believe if you are replying to an email from the person you want to add, if you open your sent email, their email will be a link. Right click the link and it should have an option 'Add to Contacts'.

Hi I have a really frustrating issue since changing web hosts the Windows 2012 Mail nightmares Live problem I am having is my mates email as per the title it's as though it keeps syncing with something else he is a major technophobe and can't handle change so simply using a different client is not an option Windows Live Mail 2012 nightmares Now every time I try to get his emails back they just revert back to the messed up state vanishing from the proper folder they were put it using recovered data as it's way of accepting the emails I am not used to the client so I am unsure what and how it acts works displays there is the main email block near the top on the left panel that is standard in any client but then it has a secondary group of folders under that labelled quot Storage quot in another group of the same headings albeit some in numerous quot recovered quot sub folders as well and no matter how many times I try and move them over they keep coming back as rescued files I have uninstalled the client reinstalled it and it makes it worse putting back what files I have been able to move over from the proper in-boxes etc as recovered files again I have then uninstalled it again using Revo cleaning out all it's leftovers from the hidden files etc as well then run junk file cleaners to clear the all out rebooted run the junk files cleaners again double checking no files had came back again then reinstalling it again and they still come back again but a variation during this and that's they are listed in slightly different folders listed as the dates had changed like it's made completely new recovered folders files Now as annoying that is there is a more serious flaw when he reply's to emails they do not go into the quot Sent quot box under the main quot correct quot folder s structure also his deleted files are not where they should be they end up in another set of folders as though they are rescued files it's driving me nuts I am also struggling to reinstate his emails from doing this in the past numerous times over the years I have always been able to drag and drop his emails directly into the programs correct hidden folders as I have copied them out in the same manner from within it's hidden folders only they never appear in the client when I go to check I have done this before the program is launched and live when it is launched no change but again in the past it has always worked The only thing that seems to work but not all cases is with the client open running is to highlight the files in the bottom section then select quot Move to quot icon on the top bar and it has worked for a limited amount of files but there are files folders that just refuse to work e g there are quot Outbox quot folders underneath the proper main email groups the nd is in any number of locations in the quot Storage quot folder s when I try to copy the wrongly placed Outbox files to the correct Outbox there is no option under the quot Move quot files as above it is greyed out so you can't do it on the times when it has allowed the file transfers I have deleted the empty folders and I have now got say if it as it should be but there is still the problem s of mail not going to the correct default folders at the top and the remaining files not allowing any transfers it is also not helped by the shear volume of emails he has around k IIRC any idea's people

Hello,

In windows live mail 2012 as is other mail programs I have a calendar. Whether or not I am logged in or not how do I incorporate a .ics file into this calendar? I read somewhere that wlm2012 will not allow this but I am not sure. What's the definitive answer. Thanks Vince

A:windows live mail 2012 issue

Hi vinman,

You may import an 'ICS file' with 'Windows Live Mail' only with 'Windows Live Calendar' on the web. To import it, open Sign In > Sign in with the same 'Live ID' that you use to sign in 'Windows Live Mail' > Import the 'ICS file' on the web (Your online calendars will automatically sync with your Windows Live Mail calendars).

Hope this helps. Do reply if you have any further questions.

About to do a complete wipe of my hard drive and reinstall Windows 7. My concern is being certain that I have Windows Live Mail 2012 backed up. I have five different accounts running through WLM and it is critical I don't lose any emails sent or received.
I took a look at the tutorials and played around but I must be doing something wrong. For example, when I trying exporting and then importing some test messages I wasn't able to find them. The storage folders, where I think the test emails should have been imported, were empty. Tried a few times and always the same result.
Now I'm thinking it might be easier if I just back up all the folders in the Windows Live Mail folder on the C drive. Is this a viable and fool proof way of saving all emails and then being able to restore them?

A:Windows Live Mail 2012 Backup Questions

If the accounts are IMAP, the mail will be retained on the remote server no matter what you do with your local client (except for deleting mail from within the client, which will delete it remotely as well). POP is another story, because once downloaded it usually, though not always, is gone from the remote.

I don't see why you couldn't back up the entire WLM folder, which is probably in c:\users\<user name>\appdata\local....

In fact, when I do a reinstall, I always do a file back up of most of the appdata folder. It invariably comes in very handy.

Another way for an independent mail backup, POP or IMAP, is to use MailStore, which is free for private use.

There are 4,008 messages in the Inbox folder but the export function will only copy out ONE message. A web search finds that this function of WLM 2012 is very badly broken and apparently Microsoft is not going to fix it. No difference in its dysfunction if it's set to work offline.

Exporting from Outlook then into WLM worked fine, but WLM can only (not) export to WLM and Exchange, which requires being on a network with an Exchange server.

A:How do I get Windows Live Mail 2012 export to work?

Open the blue File menu
Select Export email > Email messagesSelect Microsoft Windows Live MailChose the export destination folder, [Make New Folder] is a bit tricky, the Folder: field doesn't always automatically get updated, I just click on the folder above it, then click on the folder I created. As long as both the highlighted folder and the name of the folder in the Folder: filed match, you're good to go.
Press [OK]Make sure the radio button All folders is the active selection.
Press [Next]The export should begin and every eMail message should be in the destination folder you chose.

Suddenly no links in emails will work in emails in WLM 2012.
Firefox is set as default but nothing opens.

I am working round it by copying and pasting the link into FF address bar.

I think I've done everything suggested in earlier posts about this.

Microsoft help instructs making IE default !!!! No thanks.

A:Links not working in Windows Live Mail 2012

Hi rufford155, sometimes I get the same if FF is open on certain unknown websites. Try the links with FF closed.
Is FF set as default browser. Is WLM 2012 default mail in FF.

Did a recent install of Windows 7 Pro, SP1, 64 bit.
Installed Windows Live Mail 2012, where I have a variety of email accounts: one Gmail, one Comcast, and several domain based email accounts.
When I send an email from any of my domain based accounts, the sent email doesn't appear in the Sent folder of the specific account I sent it from. Instead, it appears in the Sent folder under the Storage folders.
I do not have this issue with the Gmail or Comcast accounts.
Is this an issue with WLM 2012? Have I configured something wrong? Is this an issue with my website host?
Appreciate any help with this. Thank you.

Microsoft has announced that the ability to receive messages in this app will be lost soon, unless you apply an update to it.

You can read about it here.

I tested by sending a email to another mail account yet to be imported and replied to the Plusnet account. All seems to work OK except that the Sent box for the Plusnet mail account is not showing the test message.

A:Windows Live Mail 2012 won't start? (Tried Repairing and reinstalling)

Hello Darkstrike mate sorry you had to wait for so long.
Now I really dislike installing network stuff because it is so ruddy convoluted but if you have the email set up configuration details ie the POP and IMAP settings and say a Live account - I use Hotmail then I would uninstall the WLM and just go ahead and reinstall the 2012.
I have done this on my machines before and somehow the settings have been "remembered" and if you haven't already run these

A:Windows live mail 2012 completely gone from the guest side

there has been changes announced recently by MS for all win live users.
the advice for users of Windows Live Mail 2012 is to switch to the Mail app on Windows or start using Outlook.com via a web browser before your Outlook.com account is upgraded. Upgrades for these accounts will start June 30, 2016 so it?s important to take action before this date.

switch to the Mail app that is built in to Win 8.1 and 10. you dont need to install any software; simply launch the Mail app, navigate to ?Add Account? and enter your Outlook.com email address and password. Because the data in your Outlook.com account is stored in the cloud, there is no need to manually move it from Windows Live Mail 2012 to the Mail app.

Wlm was working perfectly--past week won't send or receive emails. Server settings for ISP TWC Roadrunner match my upstairs desktop with Outlook Express 6---it works fine. Called Microsoft to find it is a known problem a lot of people are having & the Fee to fix their glitch would be $99. I refused & was told a reinstall of Windows essentials would not solve it. Is there such a thing as a "clean install" of the program ?
Any thoughts on this appreciated.

Welcome to Seven Forums Roger. This is a send problem? Or send and receive? Give us as much info as possible, you try to do x, and receive so and so error, etc.

Try this, and see if it works. Boot to Safe Mode with Networking, and try there.

Anyone know a fix for this? I have taken the patch off by repairing Windows essentials 2012 from the Programs and features dialog, but anyone know why this patch causes WLM to crash after a few seconds?

Hi,
Recently every time I open Windows Live Mail a message appears stating 'Initialisation of RSS feed support failed. RSS feeds could not be updated'. I do not use any feeds and have none set up. I have tried under Options-Feeds setting update feeds to 'Never' but this makes no difference. I use windows 7 home premium and up to a few days, WLM was workink fine.
Please can you help me remove this error message.

A:Windows live mail problem with RSS feed support

Hi ungaby,

You may try the following steps and see if they help:

1. Verify settings in 'Windows Live Mail'

- Open 'Windows Live Mail' > Click 'Views tab' > Click 'Quick Views' button at the top (Should produce a whole list of items; and verify the 'feed items' that are checked
- Uncheck all and close the list

- Re-open 'Windows Live Mail' and check if the 'RSS feed error' still occurs

2. Also check settings in 'Internet Explorer':
- Internet Explorer > Internet Options > Content > > Feeds and Web Slices > Settings button > clear the 'Turn on in page Web Slice discovery check box' (You may also refer to this article for detailed steps: Web Slices: frequently asked questions

Hope this helps. Do reply with the findings; glad to assist.

While using XP, I used Pegasus mail as my e-mail client. Pegasus's mail filtering options included the ability to set a duration on a mail folder such that any message in that folder, older than the specified duration, was automatically moved to the deleted mail folder.

Is there any way to achieve the same thing using Windows Mail under Vista?

Thanks

Delete messages from the deleted folder on close down!

The Options Tab, which allowed these choices, was on the tool bar, at the top of the window, just below, and just to the left of the Close Window X!

This facility does not appear on the current 2012 version!

I would appreciate any advice on this matter

At the moment, I have to manually select Send/Receive, and manually delete old messages

A:Management of Windows Live Mail - Windows Essentials 2012

Hi Theo, When first installing W8 I noticed the 'Tile' for Windows Live Mail in 'all apps'. Didn't take much notice as don't use Live Mail which in W7 & W8 was an integral part of Messenger. However to use Messenger you had to create a Live Mail/Hotmail a/c.
Well having become more settled with what I need in W8 I thought I'd have a look at the 'Windows Live Mail' and so pinned the tile to Start & Desktop. I just opened it today and found it has the new UI of the Ribbon Type which makes it very flexible and perhaps more attractive to future use by me. I also noticed it had the 'Options' you require, which you will find on the Toolbar when you create a new message. Hope this helps.

I bought a Gateway laptop in June with Windows installed and Outlook Mail Since I like to have the latest of everything I immediately downloaded the Windows update that was offered That worked great and I loved it Then I decided to download Windows Live Mail since I have different email accounts and really didn't like the Mail program that came with the computer After that it was one problem after another I even asked questions in these Forums can't find the original post I tried hundreds of different solutions and some worked for a while some didn't I uninstalled reinstalled Windows Live Mail a countless number of times I got very tired of all that and noticed my laptop was very sluggish So I decided to do the Recovery back to factory settings with all my files left intact It was work but it was worth the effort I've come to the conclusion that my update to and Windows Live Mail were incompatible I am now using Windows and Windows Live Mail with no problem at all The laptop is working as fast as when I originally got it Suffice it to say newer is not always better I'll stick with Windows so I can get and read my email when I wish Just an FYI for any of you that might have had similar problems

A:Windows Live Mail Problem / Initialization of Rss Feed Support Failed

I have tried the following suggestion that I received on a different forum. But it did not rectify the issue..........................

Of the two screens:
1st One - Reset IE8 to defaults again. This is needed to fix RSS feeds, which are linked to IE8 from live.
Exit all programs, including Internet Explorer (if it is running).
If you use Windows XP, click Start, and then click Run. Type the following command in the Open box, and then press ENTER:inetcpl.cpl
Click the Advanced tab.
Under Reset Internet Explorer settings, click Reset. Then click Reset again.
When Internet Explorer finishes resetting the settings, click Close in the Reset Internet Explorer Settings dialog box.
Start Internet Explorer again.
2nd One - Go to Start - Setting - Control Panel. In folder options (switch to classic view if need be), select the second tab - View.

Make sure "Show Hidden files and folders" is selected.
Also make sure that "Hide externsion for known file type" and "Hide Protected operating system file (recommended)" are UNTICKED.

Should sort you out.

A:Can't stop automatic downloading in Windows Live Mail

Hi PeterWeb,

Here's a thread addressing your WLM irritation for someone using Vista. Unfortunately it's implied that checking for new messages when that option is disabled is a bug - the workaround for which is to Work Offline until you want mail, then go online to download it, then Work Offline again.

I'll take a look at your puzzle when I have more time

Have you tried using matching password. Meaning the same ones used on iPhone on Live Mail 2012.

Try creating the account just by putting in the User Name and Password and let the software take care of the configuration.

Are you pulling the configuration from the iPhone (Incoming and outgoing)? This could be the issue if you are.

Having just purchased a new HP PC running Vista, I was surprised to see something called Microsoft Mail 7 in place of Outlook express.

I searched Microsoft's web site for information on Mail 7 and found exactly nothing!

The only thing that seams to resemble Mail 7 is Live Mail.

Are these the same product?

If not, what does Live Mail do that Mail 7 does not? I guess I am wondering if there is any reason for downloading and installing Live Mail when I already have Mail 7.

A:Is Microsoft Mail 7 the same as Live Mail?

Hi Ralph,

Welcome to Vista Forums.

From what I gather here below, it is just another name for the Windows Mail included in Vista.

New Developer Features for Windows Mail 7

You might give Windows Live Mail (WLM) a try though. It is free and you can have WLM run as the default email program, or use both WLM and Windows Mail. WLM supports Pop3, IMAP, HTTP website (EX: Hotmail) email, and is a lot more stable. Plus, WLM will minimize to a tray bar icon, checks spelling as you type messages, and has a separate Inbox for each email account. WLM will automatically import Windows Mail messages, accounts, and settings into it. Contacts will have to be manually imported from within WLM. (Tools, Contacts, File, Import, Address book for current Windows User.) To see the Menu bar, press ALT+M and check "Show all menus".

New member, first post. Updated to Win 10 from Win 7 in Oct 2015. I have had intermittent problems with Live Mail starting, ever since. I updated the version to 2012. It will work for a few days then it will not start. I try to repair and I will get a message that it cannot be repaired while running. I will shut the computer down, immediately repair then open and it will work for a few days. I have also restored to earlier dates, prior to the latest updates. Again, it will work for a few days. When it will not start I get the Ox80041161 error code. I decided to try the Windows 10 mail app but it will not accept my password. I will input my password and immediately a message comes up I need to update my password. When I attempt to update, I can see my original password has been changed.

Hopefully the problems will not return after this.

Hello everyone,

I have a problem, weird problem, and need some advice.
Yesterday I received couple of mails, but it turned out that one of them somehow dissapeared. I saw him, read, and then....gone. I couldn't find it anywhere, even with using search button, so I logged in on the mail through the browser and.. the mail was there. The same happens with some sent messages - some of them go directly to the sent elements and some of them dissappear inbetween and are not visible there.

Any clue what may cause that?
If this changes anything, I have 'store copy of messages on server' ticked.

thanks

My system: Home 7 64 bit, Live mail 2012

A:Not all messages are visible in Live Mail 2012

store copy of messages on server or leave copy of messages on server?
If it is leave
look below it and see if anything else is checked like - remove from server after reading or remove after 1 day, etc
if so uncheck it
close wlm and see if this fixes it

Leaving a copy on the server only means you can retrieve the same message on another device, like a smart phone or another computer that is running a mail program

If this does not work you can do a repair on WLM
go into Program and features
Highlight Windows Live Essentials and click it
It will give you options to uninstall or repair
You click repair and follow what it says

I run Windows Live Mail 2012 (Build 16.4.3508.0205) on Win7 64bit.

I have several POP3 email accounts form various servers, all correctly configured and working.

However if I receive an email from a Yahoo! account created via Yahoo!'s webmail rather than an offline POP3 client, it appears blank in Live Mail 2012.

If I "select all" in the Yahoo! message and copy and paste everything into Word, the message appears - correctly, with all formatting. It's obviously an incompatibility between LM 2012 and Yahoo! but I'm at a loss now how to resolve it.

I have tinkered with encodings and changed/updated vid card drivers, but the problem persists.

Any ideas? Are there any updates? Is Live Mail 2013 or 2014 due soon?

Cheers, John.

A:Live Mail 2012 - messages from Yahoo! are blank

Welcome to Seven Forums BigJohnD. I would suspect that perhaps the emails from Yahoo are being sent in HTML, and the font color is the issue. I don't use Live Mail, but I would look for a setting to read as plain text or such. If the issue is only from one Yahoo user account, chances are they have their settings set wrong. If all Yahoo emails appear that way, then Live Mail is having difficulties with their HTML formatted emails. From searching, it looks like you are looking at the View tab for plain text settings. Hello,
Within windows 8.1, a problem has recently occurred in my Windows Live Mail
WLM opens ok and I can view my inbox, sent, etc.
But if I click on "reply", for example,  I get an error message:-
"A problem has occurred while trying to open this message.
A problem has occurred. Please try again."
I get the same error message if I try to open a New Message.
I found that I can write messages to myself online and they arrive correctly in my WLM Inbox.
This seemed to have occurred soon after an AVG update, so I uninstalled AVG and restarted, but still had the same problem.
Having looking online, I tried "repair windows essentials", but it had no effect.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
Many thanks

After loading Zone Alarm basic free firewall v 110.000.120 ... which is compatible with Win8 .... on Win8 Pro OEM with all latest updates, (loaded from retail disk as clean installation), WinLiveMail, latest v 2012, would not send/receive emails even though shown as connected.

This was despite WLM being included in trusted programs of ZA. It blocked emails to/from using local Bigpond ISP and both Yahoo Mail accounts and Bigpond accounts on WLM. Both Yahoo Mail and Bigpond web sites are working on EI10.

A simple work around is to disable ZA and then emails can be sent/received. But that's a bit primitive and a pain in the butt, and possibly dangerous even though phishing filter is turned on in security of WLM.

Has anyone encountered this problem and found a fix.

I'm using Ex7ForW8 which has restored the original Win7 Orb Start Menu and switches off Metro Start Screen. So WLM is used on desktop.

A:Zone Alarm blocks Win Live Mail 2012

zonealarm has traditionally been very late and very buggy. i used to be a huge zonealarm fan but now that I've adapted to windows firewall (after it took them forever to make it compatible with Windows 7), I don't see a need to go back. there's no zone alarm feature that's not in windows firewall as far as I can tell. actually, I do remember that it was easier to create a rule on the fly with zone alarm. that's the main advantage.

A:microsoft windows live mail Not compatible with New Email systems

the email I received

Dear user,

In a few weeks, we will be making some changes to our email services that might impact your @outlook.com, @hotmail, @live, or @msn email account. Those changes will prevent your email from being delivered to the Windows Live Mail 2012 application you use.

In order to continue using Windows Live Mail 2012 to send and receive email for your account, you need to install the latest update published here.

If you use Windows Live Mail 2012 on Windows 8, Windows 8.1 or Windows 10, we recommend that you switch to the built in Mail app in Windows to stay connected and get the latest feature updates on Windows 8, Windows 8.1, and Windows 10.

Windows Live Essentials 2009 and 2011 are not supported anymore, and you will need to update to Windows 8/8.1 or Windows 10 and use the Mail app, or use www.outlook.com. To learn more about the Mail app, please click here.

We also recommend all Windows Live mail users on Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows 8.1 to upgrade to Windows 10 and use the built in Mail application to stay connected and get the latest feature updates.

We suggest saving this email so you can refer to it later.

Thanks for your understanding and continued use.

Hi,

I had an email from Microsoft saying that they are making changes to their web email services in a few weeks time and that it would prevent email from being delivered to Windows Live Mail 2012. However, I'm actually using Windows Live Mail 2011. Does anyone know if the upcoming change will also prevent emails from being delivered to Windows Live Mail 2011 or is it a Windows Live Mail 2012 issue? Hi I have been using WLM for some years Yesterday it stopped sending emails and now just leaves them in the Outbox Here is most of what appears in the error box The message could not be sent because the server rejected the sender's email address The sender's email address was 'xxxx yyyy com' Subject 'Newsflash' Server Error Server Response Sorry send error no Can e-mail 0x800ccc78 Windows Mail, with longer Live over your daily relay limit Server 'smtpout secureserver net' Windows Live Mail Error ID x CCC Protocol SMTP Port Secure SSL No I don't send many emails and don't send emails with large attachments so I don't know why the quot over your daily relay limit quot message appears Port has worked for a long time and works sends emails from the other computers on the network so it doesn't seem like I should need to select a different port number The quot My server requires authentication quot box is selected ticked None of the settings have been changed for a long time Our ISP is GoDaddy Thanks for any advice

Our Windows Live Mail accounts receive blank messages when someone sends a calendar appointment request from an Outlook account. The same message arrives correctly in a gmail account or in my Outlook account at work. Is this a Live Mail Configuration issue?

A:Windows Live Mail not receiving calendar info from Outlook mail

Hi adfrench, welcome to Seven Forums.

You must sign-in to WLM with the same Outlook.com account your using for the calendar.

A:windows 7 32bit live mail with time warner wi rr/ sending e-mail

try to send one to yourself and see if it goes and comes back.
Also you can try a repair of WLM
to do this go to program and features in control panel
Double click Windows Live Essentials
It will give you an option to repair besides uninstall
pick the repair one
once it is done send the email again to yourself first to see if it goes

I have downloaded Microsoft essentials 2012 twice and get error message 0X80040705. I only want the windows live mail program not all the other ones included. I left a check mark in only win live mail. Both times I get this error message and it also has
dotnet 40 after the error code. I have this program on my laptop that is dying and want to put it on this laptop. I'd try to just transfer it from the old laptop but not sure just how to do it or if it can be done.

Windows Live Mail 2011 - recipients not receiving mail
About 10% of my e-mail recipients are not receiving my e-mail and I do not receive non-delivery notices. Makes no difference if I select their address from my e-mail list or select respond to one of their incoming messages. This problem has plagued me for many months. I changed from Windows Mail to Windows Live Mail 2011 with no results.

Computer is HP Model m9517c, AMD Phenom 9550 Quad-Core processor, Vista 64 bit operating system with Service Pack 2, 8 GB RAM. Am using Windows Live Mail 2011 with Comcast Internet Service.

The people not receiving my e-mail are using Verizon, Earthlink and probably others. Two of my Verizon accounts changed over to gmail and email went through.

Any suggestions will be appreciated.

A:Windows Live Mail 2011 - recipients not receiving mail

Welcome
Of course, I cannot offer a definitive answer, but merely give the most like first.
Lets say you are sending from Verizon.com and you send to Yahoo.com Yahoo may have been receiving a lot of spam from Verizon and do not allow their email. Tell your friends to put you on the safe list and see if that helps.
Another possibility, is that you may have someone else's address. It may be very close to a correct address with only a small difference. YOu would not get an non delivered notice.

Okay so a few years back I quot upgraded quot to Live Lost? the Are Windows Client Mail E-mail Files - Windows Live Mail because support for Outlook Express was gone by Windows Live Mail E-mail Client - Are the Files Lost? the wayside This was using Windows XP and I still have the original hard drive amp access to all of its files In making the transition at the time I backed up my active Outlook Express files to import into WLM should something go wrong with the native importing or should the process erase the original files or some other ridiculousness What I didn t do was make copies of my old archived email When the application turned out to be a huge mistake I learned that the files from Outlook Express had been taken over by WLM and were no longer accessible from OE I attempted to transition the archived E-mail from WLM to another client No luck Also attempting to find out from someone where the files from Windows Live Mail resided or what format they were in at the time resulted in absolutely no luck either It s years later and I still find use a couple times a month for the information I d had archived there Is there anyone here who can help me Or is this an absolutely lost cause Sincerely frustrated BGPhilbin nbsp

A:Windows Live Mail E-mail Client - Are the Files Lost?

So you've now lost access to all files, as you don't know where WLM stores them?
