Hello everyone, i just formatted my hp pavilion g6 laptop and i installed all the drivers and everything , but , before i format it , i was able to use Bluetooth in it's all features ( sorry for bad English ) however , i could manage my mobile phone files , use the laptop as a headset , and make calls and other stuff in laptop via Bluetooth , but now after i formatted it , i can't do it anymore :( and when i connect my mobile all drivers start to installing and become ready to use unless one driver which is ((bluetooth peripheral device)) it says not found . i tried to download it from update driver software in device manager and windows update but i couldn't and i can't use the features that i said before i can send or receive files only ..what should i do ???
I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.
I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.
You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/directdownload.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

What bluetooth devices do you have that will be utilized with this laptop? What install discs do you have for these devices? Have you tried to connect them?
What relevant devices show up in the Device Manager?
Can I enable bluetooth connections on this laptop, and if so, how do I do it? I would like to connect to a bluetooth external speaker. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I was having the same issues as listed above, also using windows 7. Everything would install but I could not access settings for the blue tooth dongle, What I did to fix this was entered the services settings (windows search - services -) and check everything that says bluetooth. also change all settings to automatic.
Sir, I cannot tell what your problem is if I cannot have a computer model name and what happens when you turn Bluetooth on.
First, CALM DOWN and look at my profile picture. Calm? Now post your message. If I helped, a Kudos would be great! Marking as solution will help others as well, thank you!

Greetings,I had a very good experience in solving issues last time I visited the forum. I hope you will help me now too.I have a Lenovo G510 20238 Notebook, Windows 8.1 x64. I always install drivers from the official website. However, when I try to install bluetooth driver it says "No appropriate driver to be installed". I have tried different versions of bluetooth drivers, and even changed energy manager of 8.1 to the version of windows 7 (It helped previous time). The bluetooth service is set to start automatically on every logon. I even tried to install dual boot Zorin OS, because usually Ubuntu OS doens't need drivers. However, even it couldn't find appropriate driver. Neither bluetooth is shown in device manager and PC settings, nor it can be added through legacy hardware in device manager. I will be glad to share any additional information if requiered. Please help me fix this issue.https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Lenovo-B-and-G-Series-Notebooks/Lenovo-G510-Laptop-Bluetooth-problem/td-p/3322606
I've owned my laptop for about a year and a half now and about 2 weeks ago it started to run pretty slowly and randomly shut off when it was on "High Performance" Battery mode and it is feeling oddly hot underneath my laptop when this happens. When I switch the battery mode to power saver I can hear the fan slow down and it doesn't switch off anymore. I think it might be a battery problem, but I'm not sure. If I replaced the battery will this solve my problem or do I have a cooling issue? Any advice would be very helpful! Thanks so much!

first time: WiFi on / BT ON yay~!
second time: WiFi off / BT on
third time: WiFi off / BT off
I hope this helps people with their bluetooth issues =)

I have recently bought brand new hp pavilion dv6 laptop. I haven't use the bluetooth feature till today when I needed to transfer a file from laptop to my mobile. Any ideas ?
Hi folks, I've got a Pavilion dv6-3138tx, product number QC331PA#ABG. I can't work out how to enable bluetooth - I'm not sure if there was an update to my machine recently, but there's no longer a bluetooth option in my system tray. I can see the device in BIOS so it's definitley there. I've had bluetooth working on this laptop before, connected to wireless headphones, and I'd like to set it up again. Windows update is all up to date, and I can see an 'unknown device' in device manager but apparently no drivers available... any ideas?
#HPExpertDayThe deice icon might be disabled from system tray but would be available on the device.cick on start and type 'control panel'. I'm having problems with the sound with Skype only - all other software requiring sound work fine. I cannot hear my correspondant. My skype settings seem to be okay and I don't get any error message. I operate Window 7 x64. I have a HP Pavilion G7 laptop. Any help?
Hi, Sorry you're having problems. For Windows 7, try this:Log in to Skype. Click Tools near the top of the window, and select Options from the drop-down. Click Audio settings in the left pane. Under Speakers, you can:Use the Volume slider to adjust the volume.Click the down arrow in the drop-down to select the proper speakers.Test the speakers by clicking the little green arrow next to the Speakers drop-down.Click the Make a free test call link to make a test call.It may be a good idea to plug in a headset as a test to see if that works. You don't need a headset with a microphone; just use whatever headset you use to listen to your music on your iPod. The nice thing about using stereo headphones is that you can still speak through your computer's integrated microphone, but only you will hear your correspondent's responses, and there won't be as much feedback. Skype has a handy support document that might help you: I can't hear my friend... (Windows desktop) . And now for the awkward question: Is it possible that your friend has accidentally muted his/her microphone? Or is this happening with all of your calls?http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Audio/Sound-problem-with-Skype-only-HP-Pavilion-Laptop-Windows-7/td-p/2875531

Well your DM4 was built for Windows 7, so it depends if HP wrote Bluetooth drivers that will work under Windows 8. A quick check of HP's support site, shows that they have updated software for the DM4 series.

There is a Bluetooth driver under networking.
The only other thing is to check the Device Manager and see if the Bluetooth is even recognized. If it isn't listed (could be listed as a generic unknown device if the driver isn't installed), you may have a hardware problem.
Check all that and install the driver. If it is still not listed in the Device Manager, go buy a $14 Bluetooth 4.0 usb device. Asus has a great one on Amazon. It should work great and will be more up current standards since it is 4.0.

Hello guys, I want to update my computer to have a Bluetooth 4.0 connection, i've tryed some PCI-e boards but It was not compatible...Do you know any PCI-e board wifi and Bluetooth 4.0 that is compatible with Pavilion G6? Thank you
Need exact model and the big question is whether it is in the "whitelist" era. Generally anything with a 4th gen Intel Core or newer is past the whitelist and you can install any wireless or wifi-bluetooth card of the same form factor as long as you have at least 2 antennae which I believe the G6 models do.http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Wireless-and-Networking/Wifi-and-Bluetooth-module-for-Pavilion-G6/td-p/5786320

I can't plug outboard speakers into the jack because it's damaged and doesn't connect because someone accidentally kicked the speaker cable and damaged the the jack. Thanks
Hi: Below is the link to the product specs page for your notebook. It does not come with built in bluetooth networking, or that feature would have been listed along with the 1x1 802.11b/g/n WLAN Wireless Connectivity specification. The easiest thing you can do would be to purchase an external USB bluetooth adapter. You can also try and replace the internal wireless card with one listed in the service manual for your notebook that is also a combination wireless/bluetooth card. The card must be listed in the service manual and it must have the HP part number on it or it won't work. Because your notebook has an AMD processor, you cannot install any Intel wireless cards if any are listed in the manual.http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Wireless-and-Networking/Does-my-HP-Pavilion-g7-2275dx-Notebook-PC-have-bluetooth/td-p/5596858

I have a HP Pavilion dv2000 Laptop running Windows Vista and have owned since 2007 but it has been working fairly well with problem here and there that i could fix. But recently I have been browsing the internet and in the like 20 minutes after browsing the web the switch for the wireless connection goes orange (usually happens when you turn the switch off) but the switch has not been turned to the off position at that time and the connection where it says currently connected to it say limited connectivity. Does anyone have any ideas what this problem could be.
A side note* is that recently my subscription to Webroot Antivirus with Spy Sweeper has expired and not active but i don't know why it would affect my wireless connection.

Hi: What model wireless network adapter does your notebook have? Most likely the bluetooth radio on the wireless adapter is not compatible with W10, but let me know the model, and I will see if there is a W10 driver that may work. If you don't know what model wireless adapter your notebook has, go to the device manager, click to expand the Network Adapters device category, and there you will find the name and model number of the wireless network adapter.http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Wireless-and-Networking/driver-bluetooth-for-pavilion-dv6t-7000-win-10/td-p/5629829

Hello! Please help at least identificate which manufacturer bluetooth I need to install drivers. Thank you for help!
Hi: What model wireless netowork adapter does your notebook have? You install the corresponding model bluetooth driver for the model wireless network adapter your notebook has. I doubt you will get the ACPI\ACPI000E device to install on W7. I have zipped up and attached the driver for it, but most of the time it won't install. You have to manually install it by browsing to the driver folder from the device in the device manager.

Question is as per the subject line but the reason I ask is that although each laptop is visible to the other in Devices and Printers when I try to send a file from the Vista laptop to the Win 7 laptop I get a message failure message. On the Win 7 machine when I click the the bluetooth icon in the systray the option to 'Allow a Device to connect' is greyed-out and there is no alert that a device is trying to connect. A far as I can tell the bluetooth settings on both laptops are OK, adding a device was OK with the passwork handshake completed without problem.
Is this a driver issue, settings issue, or summat else?

Couple of questions
Are you using "homegroup" for networking?
Is there no other way you can transfer like wifi (its faster)?
Is this possible? I heard you can get BT dongles? I wanna add it, so I can use a BT mouse, no need for a mouse receiver.
Are you still on about this fuzzy? you should stick to one thread covering the mouse subject.
Hi ive got windows7 Dell Laptop XPS 15 L502X
how do i find out if its got built in bluetooth because i was thinking of buying some wirless speakers.
Open Device Manager from the Control Panel and see if any Bluetooth adapter is listed. It will be there if the machine has built-in Bluetooth.
If it doesn't, USB Bluetooth dongles can be acquired for very little cash outlay.
I bought a new HP notebook three months ago, March, 2016. After buying a state of the art Bose bluetooth speaker, I realized my notebook is not bluetooth capable. Really? Seriously? This limitation was not shared or apparent in any product information. Nor was it shared with me by the Best Buy store associate. I don't think he knew. Bluetooth is not new technology and today, it is essential. What a disappointment. HP notebook buyers beware!http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Audio/HP-laptop-with-no-bluetooth/td-p/5674982
I have a HP dv2000z, and i want to upgrade it so it has bluetooth inside. I don't want the dongle sticking out the side. is it possible?!
I just bought a new laptop that only has 2 usb ports, but it has built in bluetooth. is it possible to pair the laptop with my bluetooth devices without using the usb things that come with the devices? keyboard mouse, headset, ect..
I have an hp G60-445DX I want to Bluetooth pitchers & music with an LG Rumor2 it has Bluetooth but the laptop don't what I have to do to make this work
That model doesn't have a Bluetooth adapter, so you'd first have to buy and install one. Some phones require software to be installed in order to transfer data, and some simply don't support it. Others only allow transfers to and from flash memory cards. The first step should be to review your phone's manual, and contact your cell provider with any questions as features can vary by phone and provider.
Can someone please help me. I do not know what my child did but I canot acces my bluetooth that comes standard with my windows! It is just gone! When I go to the settings and want to restore default it says "device unavailable". Please help me get this problem fixed asap.
The bluetooth gets used every day to send emails for my work.
It would help if you could provide some details about your computer/laptop?

Hey guysss, i've had my Asus F6A laptop for about a month now and have only just realised i should test out the bluetooth TODAY. Unfortunately, theres seem to be no bluetooth on the laptop even though is apparently "integrated bluetooth". I opened the manual book and acording to the book when i press Fn F2 it shud turn it on. However, when i do this, this is ONLY for wireless lan, there is actually no bluetooth function together. Anybody got any ideas how to "activate" bluetooth or sumthing???
Check the BIOS to make sure it's enabled there. Verify the adapter shows up in Device Manager as well.
Please advise if this laptop (HP Pavilion 17-f125ds 17.3" Touchscreen) has Bluetooth please. If it doesnt, is there anything I can do in order to get it?

Hello! It seems as if this laptop does not have any bluetooth capabilities, which is a bummer! Could someone confirm that? If not then I'm looking for a way to change that, what are some solutions? I really dont want to have to have a dongle taking up a USB Port, is there a way I could install a driver? Thanks in advance, Aaron
If only you could add hardware by adding software. I confirmed your laptop did not have bluetooth from the factory. Your choices are 2. Add the usb dongle: easy cheap works like a charm. Otherwise open the back of the laptop, remove the wireless card and install a dual function wifi and BT card in its place and it has to be one of those cards HP offered from the factory on the same model series or the laptop will refuse to boot up. It is actually not terribly hard to do and not terribly expensive although more than the dongle thing. Once you have Bluetooth hardware in the laptop THEN we install a driver. Post back if you want specific instructions and we need to know what country you live in.http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Hardware-and-Upgrade-Questions/Is-there-a-way-I-can-get-Bluetooth-on-my-laptop/td-p/5709210

If you tell us the make and model of it, we might be able to tell you wether it has or not.
If it doesn't have bluetooth, you can't "add" to it by softwares.

Now quick explination I have an 4 port ADSL router/switch/firewall (I disable the firewall I hate em) My Desktop computer and my Laptop both have bluetooth (Fully configured and can communicate) Now what i'm trying to do (Quite unscessfuly I might add) is make the Desktop share its Ethernet connection to the ADSL router to connect to the internet (For some reason i cannot bridge the bluetooth onto the ethernet connection on the destop which is XP pro, but i can on the laptop which is XP home... wierd?)

How can we check, Bluetooth device installed on my laptop?
What is the brand/model of your laptop?
I would like to use my laptop as a bluetooth headset for my Playstation TV since I am using my second monitor with an HDMI switcher as the screen. I can't connect to my laptop using bluetooth (it finds it but can never connect), so I was hoping for a way to make the laptop appear as a headset instead. WIDCOMM looked like it might work, but the install hangs with the message "Please plug in or turn on your Bluetooth device" and I'm not sure what to do.http://www.techsupportforum.com/forums/f217/can-i-use-my-laptop-as-a-bluetooth-headset-938210.html

Installed paired Motorola H to use with Skype using Download CSR Bluetooth driver v for Windows Vista Windows Server x -bit because bloggers said it worked on with Skype very well which it did yesterday I had gone into control panel gone Bluetooth HP 32-bit Windows from laptop 7 gt sounds gt manage audio devices gt playback and set the H as the default communications device whereupon the Conexant speakers disappeared until I finally learned today that you have to right click the white space to recover disabled devices Today is when I recovered the Conexant speakers because the H had disappeared and of course stopped working I saw somewhere Bluetooth gone from Windows 7 32-bit HP laptop that a device may only be Bluetooth gone from Windows 7 32-bit HP laptop paired with only a phone or a PC not both at the same time My PC and my cell phone occupy the same desk so maybe the phone hijacked the pairing back from the PC when I rebooted earlier today So I have blocked the H from my cell phone since I rarely use it and can pair it again easily when needed However the problem now is that the Bluetooth icon has disappeared from my PC and after a search could not find Bluetooth in the PC I manually looked through device manager and it is not there Thanks in advance if you have a solution Please help me find and enable bluetooth again nbsp
Since the bluetooth device is not shown in Device Manager, this means either 1 or 2:
1. Bluetooth is disabled/turned off either by the bluetooth slider switch somewhere on one of the laptop's 4 sides, or there will be a key (usually top row) which has to pressed in combination with the 'Fn' key.
2. The bluetooth adapter itself is faulty.
I just bought an HP laptop (15.6", model 15ay018ds) on HSN. I have looked at the specs an can't find the answer to this question: Does it have built-in Bluetooth? I have had a variety of HP laptops at work, and some have it, while others do not.

I have just got a Samsung Z510 mobile which I think will only connect to my Packard Bell Easy Note K5285 via bluetooth which my laptop does not have. Any ideas how I can download to my mobile (I am on pay as you go in Spain).
so your phone has bluetooth but the laptop does not
a few solutions - not in any order
1) you can get a cable between the laptop and phone
2) does the phone and laptop have infared IR
3) buy a blue tooth USB adapter for the laptop
I just bought a new wireless bluetooth keyboard and when I tried setting it up, it couldn't be detected. I then looked through support forums and tried to go to Settings - Devices and Printers - Bluetooth like people suggested to similar questions, but my settings screen doesn't even include Bluetooth. Can someone please help me with this? I'd really like to use this keyboard.
Hi: Below is the link to the product specs page for your notebook. http://support.hp.com/us-en/product/HP-15-f200-Notebook-PC-(Touch)/7630399/model/8788164/document/c0... It does not come with built in bluetooth networking or that feature would have been listed along with the 1x1 802.11b/g/n WLAN wireless connectivity specification. The easiest thing to do would be to purchase an external usb bluetooth adapter in order to have bluetooth functionality. You may also be able to replace the wireless card with one that has bluetooth, listed in the service manual for your notebook. http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c04763947 Make sure there are two antennas connected to the wireless card if you plan on replacing it.http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Wireless-and-Networking/Bluetooth-not-working-for-laptop/td-p/5639008
Hi I have a laptop with OS Windows 7 which does not have Bluetooth installed but I want to connect my laptop to my wireless Bluetooth speaker to play music. What do I have to buy to allow this? Many Thanks
A USB Bluetooth adapter should work. I've never used one, but here is an example so that you know what I'm talking about,.

Hi Priya19891998, Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome. I have read your post about your HP 15-r006tu Notebook and error with Bluetooth. Click the Windows key and type Services. Scroll down to the Bluetooth Support Service. Startup type should be - Automatic, and Service Status should be - startedRestart the computer after this step and try installing again. Here is a document if needed on Bluetooth devices. Please let me know. Thanks.http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Operating-System-and-Recovery/How-to-get-bluetooth-for-HP-15-r006TU-laptop/td-p/4128584

laptop's bluetooth problems
i have some problems with my laptop's bluetooth... when i bought the laptop it was working but now i cannot even find the blutooth on my pc...
can somebody explain to me what should i do???
i found the drivers on the laptop's webpage but this pops up as i try to install it
Hiya and welcome to the forums.
Make sure that you haven't turned it off by accident. On some laptops there is a small button/slide somewhere around the front/edge of the laptop and on others there is usually a "FN" key that needs to be pressed in conjunction with one of the "F" keys (should have a bluetooth logo on it) ... hope this helps a bit pal
I've recently updated to Windows 10, but the bluetooth didn't seem to work properly. It doesn't seem to be able to detect any devices. Also, i couldn't even find the option 'allow devices to connect to this computer' in bluetooth settings. i've tried to reinstall the latest version of drivers but it didn't help. Could anyone kindly tell me what's wrong and how to fix it? Many thanks.
PS: my laptop is alienware M17x R2.
Have you tried going to your manufacture of your motherboard, and look for any new updates for your Bluetooth driver?? Sometimes this method does work.http://www.tenforums.com/drivers-hardware/43277-bluetooth-issue-my-laptop.html
I'd like to know how to put necessary software on my laptop for Bluetooth capability's. Using hp pavilion entertainment pc. Running windows vista sp2. Thank You to whom ever is able to assist.
Does it even have bluetooth capability? If so I would go to hp and search for your model and download the driver for it. Unless you bought a card for that, in that case I would go to the manufacturer and download the driver from them.http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/602017/bluetooth-questions-for-laptop/
Not sure if this question has been answered elsewhere, but i'm wondering how i would be able to stream audio from my HP Mini Laptop to an LG Soundbar with bluetooth. I've gone through the steps to pair the two devices, and the process has been completed. On the soundbar it reads "paired" And my laptop says the same thing, however, when i try to play music through the soundbar, it only comes out of my laptop speakers. How do i solve this?
Answer as soon as possible please?
By the way, i don't know if it should make a difference, but i have Windows 7 Starter edition.
Hi there So quick background - I have an Asus laptop series K S that one day decided not to turn on or charge Long story short went for the cheap repair and got the initial problem fixed but at the expense of some new ones One of which I just discovered today which makes me wonder what else there is Today I wanted to connect to our bluetooth speaker with my laptop Now before my original problem I never had any issues doing this I know it has bluetooth capability however I can no longer find it in the start menu search I had a look in the system information and searched for bluetooth and sure enough the system file is there It seems the laptop can t locate it or something I m concerned that the adapter may be damaged Is there a way I can test this can't bluetooth find Laptop it's own I ve already downloaded and run the intel bluetooth file from the asus website for my laptop model however it doesn t seem to have done anything I seriously think I should ve just kept that money from the initial repair and put it towards a new laptop - as much as I love this one it seems to have a few issues now Any help is greatly Laptop can't find it's own bluetooth appreciated Thanks nbsp
I have a CD with mp3's on it. plays fine on my Win 7 desktop pc but won't play on my Win 7 laptop, the laptop will play regular CD's though and movies.
Also, the DVD drive does not show in win explorer when empty, (or when an mp3 cd is in it), worked fine with Vista, tried updating the drivers but it said they were current.
Don't know if I should post this problem here or in the 'hardware' section...?
