I have recently bought brand new hp pavilion dv6 laptop. I haven't use the bluetooth feature till today when I needed to transfer a file from laptop to my mobile. But it didn't work nor is it showing in the 'discoverable' section in my mobile. I have checked everything but to no avail. The laptop does recognise the mobile device but does not connect/pair with it.
Any ideas ?
I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.
I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.
You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/directdownload.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)
I just set up win 8 on my computer and was going thru the process of connecting my bluetooth mouse and my bluetooth keyboard. My mouse connected automatically, no problems. When I went to connect my keyboard I got the usual prompt asking you to enter the code, but the code was not accepted no matter how many times I tried. I know for a fact that this keyboard works, because it works fine on my Win 7 OS on the same computer. Any help/advice would be greatly appreciatedhttp://www.eightforums.com/drivers-hardware/9903-bluetooth-issues-sony-bluetooth-keyboard-vgp-bkb1.html

Hi: Below is the link to the product specs page for your notebook. It does not come with built in bluetooth networking, or that feature would have been listed along with the 1x1 802.11b/g/n WLAN wireless connectivity specification. http://support.hp.com/us-en/product/HP-Pavilion-15-Notebook-PC-series/6529953/model/6787855/document... But when i did a clean install of win 10 again, my pc is not detecting bluetooth devices. now only 2 drives are there in device manager for bluetooth. i.e Generic bluetooth adapter and ms bluetooth enumerator. This computer is great. Everything runs perfectly and makes it easy to adjust to windows 10. The only problem I have is that I have no Bluetooth radio in the computer but there is a Bluetooth function on the software. I need to know if there is a Bluetooth radio for this device to install or if there a software to install to fix this issue.

Hi folks, I've got a Pavilion dv6-3138tx, product number QC331PA#ABG. I can't work out how to enable bluetooth - I'm not sure if there was an update to my machine recently, but there's no longer a bluetooth option in my system tray. I can see the device in BIOS so it's definitley there. I've had bluetooth working on this laptop before, connected to wireless headphones, and I'd like to set it up again. Windows update is all up to date, and I can see an 'unknown device' in device manager but apparently no drivers available... any ideas?
#HPExpertDayThe deice icon might be disabled from system tray but would be available on the device.cick on start and type 'control panel'. Choose control panel and you would see bluetooth icon there. if not then click on 'Devices and Printer' and find the icon there. You can install Network Manager for your device from dervers page:http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/bph07165http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Wireless-and-Networking/Bluetooth-not-available-on-Pavilion-dv6-3138tx/td-p/5627839

Hello guys, I want to update my computer to have a Bluetooth 4.0 connection, i've tryed some PCI-e boards but It was not compatible...Do you know any PCI-e board wifi and Bluetooth 4.0 that is compatible with Pavilion G6? Thank you
Need exact model and the big question is whether it is in the "whitelist" era. Generally anything with a 4th gen Intel Core or newer is past the whitelist and you can install any wireless or wifi-bluetooth card of the same form factor as long as you have at least 2 antennae which I believe the G6 models do.http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Wireless-and-Networking/Wifi-and-Bluetooth-module-for-Pavilion-G6/td-p/5786320

Well your DM4 was built for Windows 7, so it depends if HP wrote Bluetooth drivers that will work under Windows 8. A quick check of HP's support site, shows that they have updated software for the DM4 series.

There is a Bluetooth driver under networking.
The only other thing is to check the Device Manager and see if the Bluetooth is even recognized. If it isn't listed (could be listed as a generic unknown device if the driver isn't installed), you may have a hardware problem.
Check all that and install the driver. If it is still not listed in the Device Manager, go buy a $14 Bluetooth 4.0 usb device. Asus has a great one on Amazon. It should work great and will be more up current standards since it is 4.0.
I'm trying to use a bluetooth speaker with my HP Pavilion g7-2275dx Notebook PC but I'm not sure if I have the ablility to to do that? I Have the ralink bluetooth stack and and an atheros bluetooth driver but I'm not sure how to use them. Also, I sometimes stumble onto a page that has a 'bluetooth switch' but it'snot highlighted and I can't turn it on. Can someone tell me where where that screen is and how I can use Bluetooth with my pc? I can't plug outboard speakers into the jack because it's damaged and doesn't connect because someone accidentally kicked the speaker cable and damaged the the jack. Thanks
Hi: Below is the link to the product specs page for your notebook. It does not come with built in bluetooth networking, or that feature would have been listed along with the 1x1 802.11b/g/n WLAN Wireless Connectivity specification. The easiest thing you can do would be to purchase an external USB bluetooth adapter. You can also try and replace the internal wireless card with one listed in the service manual for your notebook that is also a combination wireless/bluetooth card. The card must be listed in the service manual and it must have the HP part number on it or it won't work. Because your notebook has an AMD processor, you cannot install any Intel wireless cards if any are listed in the manual.http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Wireless-and-Networking/Does-my-HP-Pavilion-g7-2275dx-Notebook-PC-have-bluetooth/td-p/5596858

Most likely the bluetooth radio on the wireless adapter is not compatible with W10, but let me know the model, and I will see if there is a W10 driver that may work. Hello! Please help at least identificate which manufacturer bluetooth I need to install drivers. Thank you for help!
Hi: What model wireless netowork adapter does your notebook have? You install the corresponding model bluetooth driver for the model wireless network adapter your notebook has. I doubt you will get the ACPI\ACPI000E device to install on W7. I have zipped up and attached the driver for it, but most of the time it won't install. You have to manually install it by browsing to the driver folder from the device in the device manager.

I was having the same issues as listed above, also using windows 7. Everything would install but I could not access settings for the blue tooth dongle, What I did to fix this was entered the services settings (windows search - services -) and check everything that says bluetooth. also change all settings to automatic.

Im trying to use my bluetooth on my laptop but its not working.
I dont know what to do.
I have 120GB memory, 2GB RAM. ACER 4920 Aspire. Duo Core processor.
I have tried to use a bluetooth dongle to connect my phone to my computer and it tells me I have an outdated driver so I spent $30 to update
all my drivers. Then I spend another $30 to add an antivirus. Then I was told that my bluetooth would work. Not only does my bluetooth not work (which when I
first purchased it it worked fine) my usb with my phone also says my driver is outdated. I have had nothing but problems out of this piece of BLEEP Windows 7 since day one. Oh and I tried downloading windows 10 all day and I still have windows
7. I am about ready to throw this piece of BLEEP out the window.

Did the adapter work straight out of the box or did it come with a CD? If yes to the first and you didn't bother with the CD for that reason, it might be worth using it now.
I have a Bluetooth headset. When I turn it on, right click on the Bluetooth icon->Quick Connect->Hands Free Audio->Jabra Bluetooth device it starts connecting and then says

I've tried restarting but it doesn't fix it. Any ideas?
I recently installed windows 7 home premium on my HP G62 notebook PC. When I click on the start menu it shows bluetooth file transfer. When I click that it does says send and receive file but never scans. I tried installing drivers from the HP website. But it does not show on device manager or anywhere.... Any help please??
See if your notebook has a switch or a button that enables bluetooth. Also, which G62 do you have? It may be your system does not have bluetooth.http://www.sevenforums.com/drivers/212042-hp-g62-bluetooth-issues.html

hi everyone i have a wifi bluetooth antenna s screwed into the back of my computer I'm not sure of the antennae model there are ports in the back of my PC and I screw in the two antennae the antennae have long ish thin cables that are flexible and sort of issues bluetooth like wires so I can move the bluetooth issues antennae wherever I want i play Rocket League the game a lot and I use bluetooth issues a PS controller wirelessly to play it or wired if it needs to charge I use DS a program to make the computer recognize the bluetooth signal of the PS controllers the DS program tells what the controller's latency is and it's often pretty high it's not supposed to be over about ms but it goes above sometimes this makes it hard to play rocket league even though I sit a foot away from the antennae I want to know are there any GOOD antannae out there that would make my controllers not lag If I buy a quality bluetooth dongle how would I make the dongle recognize my PS controllers instead of my bluetooth wifi antennae Thanks
I've had latency issues with my DS4 on my PC as well when trying to connect via BT. In the end, I ended up just keeping a long (6-8ft) USB cable plugged in, and just plug into that if I want to use the controller for something.http://www.techist.com/forums/f78/bluetooth-issues-277639/

I have a Dell Inspiron running Vista Home Premuim edition Ever since I've had it the machine will never recognise the Dell bluetooth mouse when I turn the machine on The fix up until now has been to disable and renable the Dell Truemobile Bluetooth EDR mouse Bluetooth issues driver The mouse would start working However sometimes when the UAC window would open the mouse would stop working Yesterday I had a problem with the 'user profile cannot be loaded' and I sorted this by using the procedure in regedit for renaming a bak file described elsewhere in this forum This fixed the user profile problem but now I can't disable the Bluetooth driver the disable box is greyed out The only way I can get the mouse to work is to boot up in safe mode disable the bluetooth driver reboot the machine enable the driver normally the box then goes grey and hope for the best Any suggestions on how to permanent solve these problems Bluetooth mouse issues
I have a Dell Inspiron 1720 that I got in the middle of January. It had Bluetooth mouse (Dell) problems from day 1. I got a lot of personal help from Dell through phone calls that got it about 90% fixed. They finally said to get it completely fixed I would need to reload Vista which I didn't want to do. After another problem (driver conflict) with the notebook, I did have to reload Vista with Dells help. Since the reload, the bluetooth mouse has been working at 100%. Yes, I know that is not really good news.
At the time I had Vista Premium but upgraded to Ultimate after the mouse problem was fixed.
Prior to the AU update, my Bluetooth mouse worked fine on my SP4
I used an ISO and did a clean install. Since then, My Dell Travel mouse WM524 does not work.
It pairs successfully, sometimes even shows the mouse under Bluetooth in the action center as being connected. The mouse however, continuously blinks as if it is not connected.
I've tried pairing, unpairing, removing device, uninstalling the mouse in device manager, restarting pc... Nothing works.
Tried pairing it on my friends MacBook pro and it paired and worked fine
Driver info for "Marvell AVASTAR Bluetooth Radio Adapter" shows Driver date as 2/5/16 and Driver Version as 15.68.9040.67.
Is this the latest? Windows update doesn't show any updates.

Any solutions. Sorry to say, that I have had this issue with a HP Notebook since the July switch to Windows 10 (NO driver from HP); I use a Windows BT mouse, it will pair and then loses the connection if it sits too long, or the Notebook goes to sleep. I have looked and look for a solution and as of yet, NO GO! What I have been doing is: Remove Device (unpair); wait for it to disconnect > Make the mouse discoverable > Pair (sometimes I get a pop-up window that asks that I input a code; I hit next, or cancel, to continue). This works short term, for me.
I'm am think of going to a dongle/mouse set-up, but because I don't use that notebook very much, it hasn't been a priority.
So i have windows 8.1 and all of a sudden today my bluetooth stopped working. I found that this is a problem many have, and I went through many steps such as uninstalling drivers, starting services ,updating the registery as recommended, and even doing a system
restore but to no avail. My problem now is that i have deleted all traces of Bluetooth from the Device Manager except for the Qualcomm Atheros Bluetooth Bus. I have gone to my laptops (Lenovo) website and downloaded the most recent drivers but they do not
show up in the device manager or say that they are needed. Is there something other than a driver i need to install? Because im sure my hardware is still in the computer :/ Thanks.
PS: I have the Quallcomm Atheros AR956X Wireless Network Adapter, But i was unable to find Bluetooth when looking at the BIOS
Hi Win7 Forums,
I have an issue that maybe someone can help me with. I have a bluetooth card built into my Compal JFT02 laptop. I use it to connect to my mobile phone to put ringtones on by using QPST (use google....). Now in WinVista it would work fine....connect on com port 3 through QPST to mobile phone....access firmware....dump ringtones....etc.etc. Now in 7 it can't even find my mobile device. I know the bluetooth card still works because I can use a live cd to boot into a linux distro and use the bluetooth from there. If anyone has any assistance....please help; I can't figure out what is going on
This may be a driver issue...
Try the Win7 drivers from the post here:
Broadcom BTW 220.127.116.1100 & BTW 18.104.22.16800 available
If your BT device uses Broadcom chipset the above drivers should work.

Welcome to the Lenovo Forums.
Can you please try the following:
1. Create a system restore point (for backup purposes).
2. Uninstall the Bluetooth Driver.and reboot the system.. After the reboot, the bluetooth device should now look like this in the Device Manager
3. Download and run the Bluetooth Driver installer
- this will identify the type of Bluetooth Device installed on the system (eg. Qualcom Atheros, Intel, etc.) and it will install a generic Bluetooth driver. If successful, try pairing the bluetooth keyboard and observe.
If everything goes well, try installing the official bluetooth drivers by navigating to the D:\Drivers\Bluetooth folder and check if you can connect the other bluetooth devices.
4. Run Windows Update to get the latest patch and bug fixes for Windows.
Let me know how it goes.
Hi all I've just added issues Bluetooth speaker an iHome iHC as a bluetooth device on my computer The drivers installed successfully and Bluetooth speaker issues I can see this device under quot Devices and Printers quot in the Control Panel possibly relevant note It is listed as a headset for unknown reasons I cannot select the iHome to be my default speakers when I try to quot Manage Audio Devices quot in the Control Panel because it is not available I also do not see this device in Device Manager Under Bluetooth Radios in Device Manager what I do see is the following Dell Wireless Module with Bluetooth and Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator When I go into Bluetooth Setting and attempt to quot Connect quot Bluetooth speaker issues to the iHC it's there but I am given an error message quot The parameter is incorrect quot With that I'm all out of ideas I'm just really hoping I don't have to uninstall and re-download the Bluetooth driver from the Dell website and remove and re-add the Bluetooth speakers because that's a nuisance I've got a Dell XPS M running Windows bit Any thoughts All ideas appreciated
Oh and to add, I connected these speakers to my phone in like two seconds, so I know they work. I hope it's something simple that I'm missing on the computer....http://www.techsupportforum.com/forums/f217/bluetooth-speaker-issues-522899.html
Have had this laptop a week, came with Windows 10. I've successfully paired bluetooth speakers to computer but music will never play through the speakers. I went to download and updated bluetooth driver and when I ran the file, i got an error message that says "There are unauthorized bluetooth adapters in your system" and won't load the Realtek bluetooth file. What the heck does that mean?!?!?!

I'm trying to play audio from my laptop to a new Bluetooth speaker. Both are paired but I can't get sound to come out the speaker. It works fine from my cell phone to the speaker but not from the laptop to the same speaker. I have a 15-an051dx model laptop running Windows 10 and the speaker in question is a Sony SRS-XB3. I followed the pairing instructions to the letter and can get my phone (a Windows one) paired to the speaker and working (Speaker supports up to 8 devices) but can't get the laptop audio to play. It shows as connected and paired on the laptop. I have removed and repaired and checked all drivers for updates and still no audio. I'm beginning to wonder if maybe it can't connect and send audio?http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Wireless-and-Networking/15-an051dx-Bluetooth-Issues/td-p/5642423
My laptop has built-in bluetooth hardware. When I try to search for bluetooth devices to pair with, my computer finds nothing (device's BT is on and discoverable, also tried with other devices). The strange thing is that my phone is able to see my computer.
I thought that maybe the hardware had issues, so I went and picked up an ASUS USB-BT211 external BT dongle, it gives me the same issues as with my hardware BT. I even physically disconnected my internal BT in case it was somehow causing issues.
Also, I am having issues using USB-to-Serial to communicate with one of my work controllers, same sort of deal, my computer can't see the controller.
Is it possible that something in my windows software is blocking all COMM out?
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks in advance.

I'm Having a few problems First off to make sure I'm not going crazy wasn't there a Bluetooth toggle switch in the Charm Flyout menu or what Bluetooth with and Toggle Help issues. other have you when you clicked on the network button Help with Bluetooth Toggle and other issues. on the taskbar in the bottom right on the desktop UI It shows Networks such as Wi-Fi Ethernet if applicable Airplane mode and formerly Bluetooth all of which excluding Ethernet with an On Off toggle Next I have to go to Bluetooth settings to turn on my Bluetooth Which wasn't the case at first But now my Bluetooth icon disappears if it is off That wasn't always the case but I can't get things back to how they were I'd first like to know that I didn't imagine that the whole way through as well as how to fix the issue and what caused it I thought it might have been a registry corruption but I reloaded Windows OS on my laptop The drivers were successfully installed so I don't think that's the case either I understand this was moved in a year old update I however was just affected recently Thanks you for taking the time to read that Oh and the Bluetooth device works fine and shows in Device managerhttp://www.eightforums.com/network-sharing/65561-help-bluetooth-toggle-other-issues.html
when I select my bluetooth device in tools-> options it works fine but keeps reverting back to windows default device.
I have no idea why it keeps doing that but I cant seem to get it working normally
when I do the test call a window in the bottom right pops up says 'audio setup of skype failed please restart skype" which is odd because thats when its working. if I restart it does no good either
I have a plantronics voyager 520 and just downloaded the lateset version of skype with no luck.
Whatever I do, I can't seem to get bluetooth working on my Y2P. I installed the latest ones from Lenovo's site, I tried using the generic drivers, I tried getting the latest ones from Intel... still no luck. If I use the generic ones, I get a code 43 error in Device Manager. If I try Lenovo's or Intel's it starts the device fine but Windows itself doesn't even think I have a bluetooth device. What is going on?

Surprise surprise, issues with bluetooth headset.
I've got mine to connect, but when I tried to do it for my partner, all seems to fail. The main issue I have is to make the microphone to work. The laptop seems to be able to recognise, but not use.
Here are some screenshots I took.
This is a screenshot of the bluetooth headset being recognised by her computer as it appears in the bluetooth device settings.
This is a screen shot of the bluetooth recognising the bluetooth microphone in the recording devices menu on my laptop.
This is a screen shot of the same bluetooth headset not being connected to her laptop in the recording devices menu.
If there are any suggestions, please feel free to post.

You can add code later.

Hi, I bought my notebook "HP Pavilion g6" on January 2013. It was working fine until last month though I was facing some connection problems with wifi after upgradation to Windows 10. Suddenly, after some updates, the wifi and bluetooth adapters have disappeared. I tried to rectify the problem by trying out the solutions given everywhere, but no luck. The adapter itself is missing. Even after downloading the adapter, its not shown in the device manager as well as the network connections. Hence, I am not able to connect to wifi. Please help me with this issue. Thank you,Yadukrishnan Nairhttp://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Wireless-and-Networking/NEED-HELP-WITH-WIFI-AND-BLUETOOTH-CONNECTIVITY-ISSUES/td-p/5797257

X1 Yoga running Win 7 x64 In Device Manager, a Generic Bluetooth Adapter device comes up with the typical yellow exclamation point. "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43) The event log has a bunch of entries with event ID 17:The local Bluetooth adapter has failed in an undetermined manner and will not be used. The driver has been unloaded. When I re-install the BT drivers, the correct two devices show up in Device Manager and the Bluetooth icon shows up in the taskbar. But after a reboot everything is back to a failed state. Any idea what's going on here? Anyone having the same issue?
Have you seen this KB provided by Microsoft? It appears to describe the same issue you reported.
The most recent version of the Intel Bluetooth Driver for X1 Yoga systems running Windows 7 can be downloaded here: http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/products/Laptops-and-netbooks/ThinkPad-X-Series-laptops/ThinkPad-X1-...
I've recently got a CSR Bluetooth chip. It installed properly as far as I can tell. The problem however is, that when I go to change setting to allow my comp to be detectable it tells me "An error occurred while Windows was saving your settings. The Bluetooth device might be unplugged.
The following settings were not saved:
How do I get it to stop glitching the save on this?

I have a XPS 8700 running windows 7. I am having issues getting a compatible bluetooth driver for it. Anything I have gotten from the Dell website leaves me with the following error: Btvstack.exe has stopped working. That happens when I boot up windows, and it happens when I try to connect my bluetooth speaker as an audio device. The device pairs fine, but I can't use it, or any other device due to the constant crashing of btvstack.exe. Has anyone had any luck getting the bluetooth to work?
The two 8700s we have are running Win 8.1 and both BT and WiFi are disabled. BT was unreliable and the WiFi performance was not good enough.
One option vs fighting with hat device and the Dell Drivers is to pickup a new mini pci wifi/BT card, and get the drivers directly from intel.
the AC 7260 is a decent device, and can be found for about $20 shipped on eBay.
intel has driver support for Win 10, 8.1/8, 7 and XP.
If you have an available PCI x1 slot you could get an adapter with antennas out the back for about $10.
Hello I have found the below posting thorughout many forums on thew internet Maybe it has been in this forum as well I apologize if it has been and answered already I am literally having the same problem as this person below Except Driver Bluetooth Windows 7 Issues I am using a pc with Win Home Premium bit and the Rocketfish RF-MRBTAD bluetooth adapter I installed the CD drivers that came with it and did everything the person mentioned below with no luck Rocketfish help on the phone is useless They just blame everything on Microsoft The cd installed a bunch of bluetooth related files in the following path file C Program Files WIDCOMM Bluetooth Software However Windows 7 Bluetooth Driver Issues I can not add a bluetooth device to the add device option in control panel Overall I want my computer to have the quot B quot for bluetooth in the bottom right in the task bar so I can add bluetooth devices as needed Any help would be appreciated If someone else owns this adapter and knows that it is just garbage please let me know and I will just return it to Best buy and buy the product below as it seems to have all good reviews Newegg com - IOGEAR GBU W Bluetooth USB Micro Adapter SEE BELOW Okay so before I get what seems to be the standard response of go here check this update that let me just say I have read some - posts on similar issues and tried almost everything that is listed on these forums I have gone to the control panel and attempted to update the drivers only to receive the message that they are up to date I have uninstalled and reinstalled I have tried all three USB ports and I have even tried an entirely newly purchased dongle So please don't post responses suggesting I do any of the run of the mill troubleshooting stuff Here is the issue I recently moved from a Toshiba to a Dell notebook The Toshiba was running a Windows Pro installation with integrated bluetooth and my Microsoft Elite for Bluetooth desktop set worked with no issues I have now moved over to a Dell Latitude E also running a clean installation of Windows Pro The Dell does not have integrated bluetooth so I attempted to install the Microsoft Windows Transceiver for Bluetooth which came with my desktop set and is in fact a Microsoft product so that I could continue to use my keyboard and mouse I plugged the transceiver in and it appeared to install some drivers and does appear in the device manager under bluetooth USB as a Microsoft Bluetooth Device However there is no bluetooth control panel to access so that I can connect the devices to the transceiver Since I assumed this meant there was a compatibility issue I went out and purchased a RocketFish Micro Bluetooth USB Adapter I installed it according to the directions using the CD which installed WIDCOMM bluetooth stack Still it is in the exact same state as the Microsoft Dongle now It shows up in the device manager but the install which was suppose to create the icon for the bluetooth manager did not do so If I run the installation for the Broadcom Bluetooth tools it begins the acquisition phase appears to see the USB transceiver and then just stops with the error quot Could not start Microsoft Bluetooth stack Please reboot your computer and try again quot No matter how many times I reboot there is no different result RocketFish doesn't have an answer these forums have provided no answer to anyone that has posted a similar issue and Microsoft wants to charge me another to talk to them to fix an issue between two of their products Is there an answer for this out there or not Andy
I can tell you I have the iogear that you point to and it works like a champ for me.
Can you post screen shots of your issue? Also, though you say you've uninstalled and reinstalled, questions will be asked, so please help us help you if we ask you the same questions.

Have you checked your taskbar notification area (near the clock) for an icon?
I have an Arctic p311 headset, an Asus usb BT-211 dongle and use windows 7 ultimate x64. For the life of me I can't get this headset to pair with the dongle. I installed the drivers that came with the dongle, and in device manager I see this generic "bluetooth audio device" under Sound. I try to auto update but all is up-to-date according to my pc. When I try to get my pc to add device my pc doesn't read it at all.
Maybe I bought the wrong kind of dongle, maybe my pc just hates bluetooth, maybe I'm missing a driver(s), I don't know, I need some help on this.
Are you using the latest drivers/utility from Asus?
Hi Having a few problems with my bluetooth through windows bit on an acer aspire v - Wouldn't usually post on somewhere like here but I've tried everything I can think of to no avail Main problems are with actually getting a bluetooth driver to install but if you have the time to read the rest would be much appreciated Just bought a new Airplay and bluetooth speaker cambridge audio minx air great for itunes but I also use spotify so the bluetooth connectivity would be really usefull as well I've used a few other devices to connect via bluetooth and they work fine so no issue with the speaker When I use my laptop to connect to the speaker via bluetooth though it either doesn't recognise the speaker or issues bluetooth Acer Aspire connects then states not connected after - secs I thought the only thing this could be is a Acer Aspire bluetooth issues bluetooth driver issue so I've downloaded a windows bluetooth driver from softpedia Acer Aspire V - Atheros Bluetooth Driver for Windows bit Free Download I've extracted to the desktop yet when I try to run the file windows brings up the window to allow the program to make changes I click yes and nothing happens Not Acer Aspire bluetooth issues sure what to do Thanks if you've read through all that and I'd appreciate any help as otherwise it looks like my next step may have to be a trip to the computer shop which will be upwardshttp://www.techsupportforum.com/forums/f320/acer-aspire-bluetooth-issues-776970.html
Good afternoon everyone. Just need a few suggestions on a problem I am having diagnosing an issue with an HP Pavilion dv600 laptop. I believe it's just a dead hard drive but want to be sure.
When turning the laptop on, i hear a light screeching sound coming from the hard drive area. In addition, when going to the boot menu, it only recognizes the CD/DVD rom drive and when I go into setup and go to the Diagnostics tab, it says that there is no IDE, so I'm not able to run the diagnostics on the hard drive. The last issue that I'm not sure is related to the hard drive is that the laptop just repeatedly restarts itself after a minute or two of booting up and then sometimes won't come on unless you press the power button at least 3 or 4 times.

AMD Turion 64
It is very common for laptop hard drives to fail like this. You have really no choice but to replace the hard drive first. Hopefully the motherboard is ok... Another option is to take the laptop in for a diagnosis. If you deside to replace the hard drive yourself, make sure you know if the drive is a SATA or IDE type
Hello, I recently got an HP Pavilion G4 and it has an issue with the screen. When I boot it up the screen doesn't turn on, a series of lines show up but there's no backlight. If I tilt the screen forward at about a 45 degree angle, the backlight kicks on, but it still displays lines on the screen. And when I do this, if I push the screen over to the right, it will start working, but if I stop it will freeze on the image, or go back to the lines. What can I do to fix this. I already dissasembled the screen and got to where the cable connected to the display and disconnected and reconnected it, so it's not a loose connection.http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Video-Display-and-Touch/HP-Pavilion-G4-Issues/td-p/5688574

After downloading the Windows 10 Anniversary Update to my R5-471T-51UN laptop, my Logitech M535 Bluetooth mouse will no longer re-connect after either a power-cycle of the mouse or a reboot of the laptop; I have to re-pair the mouse with the laptop every time I want to use it. Uninstalling and re-installing the most current available version of the Bluetooth driver has no effect. I suspect that there is a compatibility problem with the Bluetooth driver and the Anniversary Update because: - I didn't have this problem prior to the installation of the Anniversary Update- My Logitech mouse does not require its own driver- When I turn off the mouse with the Windows Bluetooth dialog open, the status goes from "Connected" to "Driver error" to "Paired" Would appreciate any additional troubleshooting advice that I might be overlooking, or (preferably) an estimate as to when a fixed Bluetooth driver will be made available.http://community.acer.com/t5/S-and-R-Series-Laptops/Aspire-R14-R5-471T-51UN-Bluetooth-issues-with-Windows-10/td-p/447776
I am looking for some assistance in getting my bluetooth feature to work on my current laptop. I made a frugal attempt to contact HP directly for support and was told (after a very frustrating and difficult conversation to understand with my support personnel) that because my product was out of warranty, they would not even DISCUSS my issue at hand. Considering this, I opted to hit the forums for advice.
The problem at hand is when trying to set the "Discovery" option which allows other devices to see my computer, I get the following error message:
"An error occured while windows was trying to save your settings. The bluetooth device might be unplugged."
My bluetooth device is onboard. I am suspecting a drive possibly, but cannot find any drivers online for this device. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
I am having issues using both the Bluetooth keyboard and mouse at the same time. Each device works flawlessly when connected separately. When the mouse is connected first the keyboard repeats keys and has a significant latency issue once connected. When
the Keyboard is connected first the mouse will not work once connected.
All bluetooth drivers and device drivers are up to date.
Is there a known issue with running multiple bluetooth devices at the same time? Is there an upgrade I can make to improve bluetooth functionality? Any advice/guidance that you could lend would be greatly appreciated. Please see below for the equipment in

Hello I just installed a Bluetooth USB adapter that is supposed to automatically install the driver in Win when plugged in This did not happen It showed the device as unknown and quot no driver available quot I know my system is updated and scanned for system issues I was then able to install the driver from the CD The device showed properly Anyway I have questions into the manufacturer but there are some questions I could get answered better here Note that I have had Bluetooth with send/rec? new and Issues driver--no Adapter problems trying to pair the Win laptop with another laptop when testing I will be testing it with other devices as I have time My questions Once Bluetooth is installed in Windows is there supposed to be a Bluetooth icon in the Control Panel Also unlike where I've seen it on other systems with Bluetooth why does the menu that Issues with new Bluetooth Adapter and driver--no send/rec? appears when I right-click the Bluetooth icon in the notification area not have options to send or receive files Is this because a device Issues with new Bluetooth Adapter and driver--no send/rec? compatible with that feature is not connected via BT or is there a driver issue etc Also if I want to reinstall a driver program for it should I just uninstall it as normal first Control Panel gt Programs and Features gt Choose gt Uninstall It is listed as WIDCOMM Bluetooth Software The driver is apparently Broadcom Any reason to do a system restore as I haven't noted any others issues as a result of the above Thanks
Still testing some devices. But I reinstalled the software and driver. It seems to work now. My question about the software was answered: Just a Broadcom design in software that could use improvement, not an error.
Though I do have another question if anyone knows the answer to this: When I use the Broadcom software that get installed to add a device (right-click the Bluetooth icon in notification area) and choose "Add a device," the "Windows 8" style PC Settings app opens (Devices section). When I add a device through the Win 8 app-style PC Settings>Devices as just noted, it adds the device to the DEVICE list in the Control Panel, and the Bluetooth window does not show any devices. Note: This is Win 8, not 8.1, so there is no separate Bluetooth section in the Win 8 app-style PC Settings. Is there anything I'm missing about the Win 8 version of adding a device? Any way to have control of the added devices from that page (PC Settings>Devices)?
Also, if I want to get the control panel for "controlling" the bluetooth devices (connect, disconnect, send, etc.), I have to go through the Control Panel and Devices and find the device name (like headphones or a phone). From the Win 8 app-style PC Settings>Devices, the only "option" is to remove the listed device. Again, this is a bit annoying as the software opens to this page.
And I understand you can add devices from the Bluetooth Devices (Control Panel location). However, there isn't a Bluetooth icon in my Control Panel, and I found Brink's instructions after pairing.
Though, thanks again to Brink, I did add a shortcut to the Bluetooth folder (control panel version as I still haven't upgraded to 8.1). However, as previously noted, the devices paired (using the method above) do not appear there, but in the "regular" Devices window of the control panel, if I'm making sense.
