Recommend me a laser colour printer please

Q: Recommend me a laser colour printer please

Hi,

Can someone please recommend me a colour laser printer for home use? Resolution should be at least 1200 x 1200 dpi. The option to print both sides of the paper would be nice. Multiple paper trays not necessary, nor anything else that will add unnecessary bulk to its size. There should also be connection for Ethernet and USB. Preferable that it uses separate toner cartridges for the different colours, so if one colour runs out then only that colour needs changing rather than the whole lot.

Thanks.

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/directdownload.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

You realize these are very expensive to both purchase and on a cost/page.

I have an Epson laser Which printer colour Photo Inkjet and it s driving me up the wall Admittedly I ve had it years and it s done a lot of printing but now it s getting a bit long in the tooth Every time I print I have to clean the heads The kids complain all the time because the quality it not consistent I have used genuine cost a fortune Epson cartidges and also compatibles Which colour laser printer but I think it s past its best My Mums old B amp W Brother goes on and on never needs cleaning looking at and never paper jams So I was thinking of investing in a colour laser printer and thought you lot out there might be able to recommend a good bit of kit I m not too worried about speed Something with separate colour cartridges would save cash not just black colour A good quality print maybe even up to photo standard Not too pricey on cartridges and maybe something I can get compatible cartridges for I m sure there are some of you out there with some advice nbsp

I'm trying to fix a printing problem with an OKI colour laser printer that has now spread to two printers.

On the first printer, the blue is misaligned with the rest of the colours. Replacing the cartridges, re-seating the cartidges and re-installing drivers has not helped.

Moving cartridges between the two identical printers to narrow down the offending component has led to the yellow now being out of alignment on the other printer.

Re-installing drivers has modified the alignment a little, but not fixed it.

Anybody have any experience with fixing this sort of problem?

I had a laser jet printer for many years and got sick of it as it was costing a fortune in ink even though I was hardly using it The problem I was having was cartridges getting blocked and by time Laser printer than inkjet? colour an better they had been cleaned the ink was running out Even though I wasn't using it for colour printing it was still costing me on colour cartridges as they needed to be replaced in order for the printer to work In the end I was advised that a mono laser printer would be the best option as they use toner instead of ink and as a result they don't suffer from the same problems that inkjet printers do and as a result the Laser colour printer better than an inkjet? are much cheaper I have been very happy with my Samsung mono laser printer which I bought for of amazon and never at any point suffered from the problem of Laser colour printer better than an inkjet? the print heads needing to be cleaned Laser colour printer better than an inkjet? before I could print I am now looking at buying a colour laser printer and would just like a heads up on whether the same is true for colour laser printers that because they use toner the print heads don't need cleaning and you can then not print in either black and white or colour for many months and still not have the problems and costs that you get with inkjet printers

A:Recommend a color laser printer

Personally, I have an HP Color Laserjet 3600n that is rock-solid reliable and has outstanding output quality with a reasonable cost per page. I got it for 250$ almost a year ago, but I don't know what it would go for now.

I'd definitely recommend anything made by Brother as well, I have an all in one black and white laser by them that has tens of thousands of pages on it without any issues. I believe that they have two models around 300$ at the moment that have a good cost per page and, judging by the demo prints, very reasonable output quality.

This is my first post on this forum and hope someone can help me.

I purchased a Dell Inspiron 1764 last Thursday and it is running Win 7 home Premium 64bit.

A Lexmark C500 colour laser printer is hooked up to my old Dell Inspiron 6400 running XP 2005 media edition SP3.

I tried installing the printer on my new laptop through the "Add Printer" option but the printer driver for the C500 was not listed. I tried installing a driver from the CD I got with the printer but it returned a message advising was wrong OS. I then called Lexmark and was advised the C500 is not supported any longer.

Is there a driver for my printer I can install (read there is a driver for Vista 64bit) so that I don't have to go and purchase a new printer.

Im sorry to tell you pcastric, but lexmark's website shows only a 32bit Vista driver. You may want to try it just in case... as many vista drivers work under Win7. The issue here may be the 64 vs 32 bit.

Hi all,

Long time reader, first time writer.

I recently purchased a Fuji-Xerox C525a Colour Laser Printer and have had problems making adjustments on the printer preferences screen. It's not that I can't make adjustments, rather that I can't read what the screen says. All of the text is in blocks and vertical lines. I have the latest drivers and software installed but to no avail.

Clicking the help button on the bottom right brings up a message saying:

C:\windows\system32\spool\drivers\W32X86\3\fxhl2z. hlp file was created for a language not supported by you version of windows.

I am running a Pentium 4, 3.2ghz, 1 gig ram, windows XP.
The printer prints just great, but I would like to be able to make adjustments for print quality etc.
I have attached a screenshot of what i mean.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

What's cheaper: colour laser with genuine ink or colour inkjet with compatible inks?

I'm happy to invest in buying a colour laser: but I can't find any refills for lasers
At least they don't seem to be widely available

So, my choice is: colour laser + genuine inks or colour inkjet + compatible inks

From what I know, side by side: laser's are cheaper
But, how about when compared to genuine laser ink to compatible colour inkjet inks?

I should stress that for me needs, I am not overly concerned if using compatibles doesn't give me perfect results - just close as possible is fine for me

What's more important probably is speed of print at highest quality

ANY feedback would be great

Thanks

A:What's cheaper: colour laser with genuine ink or colour inkjet with ink compatibles?

Finding Compatible Remanufactured Color Toner cartridges can be dicey. While they may be available, the problem may end up being the company tht does the remanufaturing. It is also dependant upon the model printer you get. I have noticed that the savings on my Black Canon X-25 toner cartridge is only about $12 lower than the cost of a Factory original cartridge. There are sites that I would save up to $30 per cartridge, but part of this is eaten up by the shipping charges. For my toner cartridge, I am about 1/2 mile from the store that does nothing but ink and toner refill services, and their garauntee thier cartridges 100%. In 3 years I have only had to return one cartridge and it was an HP #17 Color cartridge.

Now per page printing cost on a laser is much cheaper than on an inkjet. Though the printer cost itself is usually much higher for a Laser. Personally I use the laser much more than than my Inkjet, but I do use the inkjet for all color printing. But then 95% of my printing is monochrome text.

HI chaps,

A:Hp1500 Colour laser and Windows 7

The last known drivers for your 1500 were for XP. There were many who went to Vista only to find out there were no Vista drivers for the printer.

Here is a solution that worked in Vista which I;m pretty sure will work for you as well. Place the CD that came with the printer in the drive. Unplug the printer from the PC, run the CD software and when it gets to the part to plug in the printer cancel it and pull the CD from the drive. Plug the printer back in and tun it on, W7 will search for the driver on the web and won't find it and then give you some options. One of these options is to load the driver from your PC, point it to where you placed the software and XP drivers and it should pick up the driver and load. Good Luck....

I am considering buying a multi function colour laser (Print - Copy - Scan) with both duplex printing and duplex scanning. I really don't know where to start with making a good choice of make / model. This is for home use and part of the project is to scan in a couple of filing cabinets worth of A4 documents so would need it to have a reliable Automatic Document Feeder (Duplex).

Has anyone recently purchased one that they are very pleased with?

Any advice appreciated.

Greets,

I have an aging Brother HL-1450 which probably needs a new drum (if that will solve the dirt problem), but a new drum + new toner exceeds the price of most new lasers out there (yes, I know that those come with a starter toner, but the issue is the $117 drum).

The HL-1450 draws about 350 Watts when it prints, and that is a decent power draw (lights dim). Most of the new brothers want double that (including the currently on-sale HL-5240).

I am not married to Brother here ... can someone recommend a decent B&W laser printer which does not draw 600-1000W to print?

Thanks!

Hi,

My computer is working fine - but I recently purchased a new Samsung ML2570 laser printer that just died when the starter cartridge ran out of toner (or actually when the printer counter hit its predetermined set no. - probably 1000). At least I think that's what happened. The starter cartridges come without fuses. Replacement cartridges or toner refill kits come with fuses that are supposed to reset the counters, so when I refilled the starter cartridge and inserted the fuse that came with the kit, the printer still didn't work. I tried again with two more fuses, with no luck. I don't have a printer jam and all the doors are well-latched before I turn it on. Does anyone have any idea what I should do next to get my printer working again? My email is [email protected]

Regards, and thanks for any help,

I have had a Canon Pixma MP500 all in one for several years, and it is a great printer. BUT, I am really, really tired of paying for the ink. Even though I buy my ink for much less over the internet, an ink jet printer is cheap to buy, but expensive to use.

Are their any reasonably priced all in one color laser printers on the horizon that would be of good quality? For this type machine, I'm thinking under $500 would be reasonably priced, and I would seriously consider it.

Hidy ho all,

I have a client that does alot of printing. And I mean alot. They go through a a 3x2x1 stack of printer paper boxes in a month.

And their primary printer, a Brother 8890DW all in one, is starting to have its parts fail after just over 3 years of service.

They wanted to get a price comparison for replacement parts vs a new printer.

My biggest issue is, I've never really shopped for a heavy duty laser printer before now. And they want this replacement to be able to scan photos and send faxes as well.

So, what criteria should I be looking for in the printer aspect of the device?

Hello. I have a crashed Dell CPU and a HP laser printer with a damaged memory. What is the proper way to dispose of these? I'd like to do something that is environmentally sound. Is there a use/market for the parts?

Thanks.

A:cpu and laser printer disposal

Depending on how remote you are there should be an outlet that will take these items. There are new directives coming into force in the UK (WEEE Directive) that puts a restriction on the disposal of unwanted (primarily commercial) electrical goods. As a result small companies are cropping up who specialise in unwanted electrical goods, particularly computers.

Some charities have learned how to cannabalise computer parts and turn them into servicable systems, there may be one near you. Alternatively, contact your local authority who should give you advice of where to dispose of your parts in an environmentally friendly manner.

Good luck !

My HP Laserjet III died today and the shop said that a circuit board failed. Repair would cost $150-$200 and they said not to do it. Not worth it when newer printers are cheap.

They have several used and rebuilt printers (bankrupt stock and end of lease machines) available and I trust them. Have bought toner from them for 10-15 years.

They want about $350 for a used 2100 or 2200 series HP laser printer (50,000 copies on one of them) and have others available as well. Newegg has some that look comparable for about the same price new (I want to paper trays).

It has been so many years since I bought a printer that it is hard to know what to get. I use it at home and probably print 20-30 pages a week.

I like HP because they seem to last forever. Bought my laserjet III in 1992 and have not had any problems until now.

Any advice?

Thanks

HP's are fine. Brothers are also good, but their drums need to be replaced. I guess you just need to get one that has two trays..? I'm not sure what else to say, except don't buy a used one if you can get a new one for the same price. At 20-30 pages a week, it would be hard to find a bad laser printer

Can I use it in that WinXP emulation for Win7? WinXP has the driver preinstalled. I also cannot find the driver for WinXP online, so another question would be will the driver be there for it if I run it in WinXP emulation?

If not, Is there any possible way I can use that printer in Windows 7? Last resort would be to throw a WinXP installation on one of my drives.

A:HP Laser Jet 6L Printer Situation

Just my opinions, but

IF you found someone who'd work on it, the cost average probably wouldn't make sense......however, if you could find an older type apprentice person, the person would appreciate quality....they just don't make the new ones like they used to.

Feeding the sheets are no big deal...it's not going to harm anything.....

I would guess that after 4 years, the feeder teeth just aren't grabbing once the paper tray gets low........

My daughter had me buy a HP Color LaserJet CP1215 Printer for her husband for Christmas. Now she is being told that it needs a special plug or something to work between their computers which connect with a wireless router. One computer will be hard wired to the printer and the other computer is wireless. Won't any printer work through a networked computer whether it is wireless or hard wired? If so, is there anything special we have to do to make it work? If not, I guess it is back to the store.

Thanks for any info.

A:Laser Printer on Network

yes you can connect through the PC that is directly connected to the printer, if that PC is on your network, the only downside is that the PC will need to be switched on for anyone to use the printer

so on the PC with the printer connected, you need to share the printer and give it a name
then from the other PC - you set up a network printer

add a printer
then browse the network - it should see the shared printer

this should help

Hi, and welcome to the TSG forums.

You really confused me when you described your printer as an "HP brother laser printer HL 1440", since I don't think it can be made by both Hewlett-Packard AND Brother at the same time, but I THINK I've got it figured out.

Unless I'm mistaken, you want a WinXP Home driver for a BROTHER HL-1440 printer. If I'm RIGHT, then download the XP driver from this page:

http://solutions.brother.com/hl1400/download/dl-win2000-pcl.html

Do NOT let the "win2000" in the page name concern you; the driver is the same for both Windows 2000 and Windows XP. According to these notes on that page:

NOTES for Windows XP user:

1.This is a Windows XP driver that has the same capability as drivers available for other previous Windows operating systems.

2.If your PC has an active Internet connection, the driver will be downloaded
and installed automatically when you connect the device to your computer.
Your internet connection must remain active during the driver installation.
If you do not wish to install the driver using an active Internet
connection, simply download the file from this page and following the installation instructions.

Judging by that, all you should have to do to the printer is hook it up to your system, turn it on, then boot up, and connect to the Internet. Of course, that might NOT work, but it would be one way to install the printer.

Or, you can download the driver and then install the printer AND the driver the usual way. If you don't know how, open Windows Help, click on the Contents tab, then click on the PRINTING section, and follow the instructions for installing a new printer.

Good luck; let us know how things turn out.

According to the spces for your printer, it also has a USB port. Check for the little square thing to the left of the parallel port in this picture.

I am going to get a free HP laser printer from my work as they are getting a new one. It is a few years old and uses a PS2 port connection. My computer is a couple years old but does have a PS2 port and USB ports, so that part shouldn't be a problem, however, they no longer have the printer installation CD.

My PC is running Windows XP SP2.

How can I get it installed without the install software?

Easy. Go ot the manufacture's website, look up that particular model and download the drivers.

I have an Oki Laser C5250n with duplex unit connected by USB to my WIN 7 Pro PC. I used the Oki Vista drivers to get the printer working and all is fine except for the duplex option.

When I right click on the Oki C5250n device - select Printer Properties - Device Options Tab - Tick box for Duplex Unit - click apply and ok. Then under Printing Preferences I still can't select 2-sided printing.

When I repeat the above I find that the box is unticked and won't stay ticked.

Can anyone suggest why this shoud be happening. I had no probs on an XP machine.

Hi! A friend got a used Brother HL-5170DN laser printer that didn't come with a drum unit. So, she bought a drum unit that is compatible with the printer but when she prints, the print comes out with a dark coloration throughout the page.

Could this be caused by a bad drum unit or at least the roller in the drum unit?

Thanks!

Hi all,

I am after either an A3 or A4 laser printer that can print on heavier papers and the thickest card stock. I will mainly be using it for foiling, hence the reason for it needing to be a laser printer. Obviously it will make more sense if it has a straight path to avoid jamming and curling. I will mainly be using black toner only rather than colour, so maybe a printer that has larger mono cartridges available would be beneficial. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks - M

You are highly recommended to download the software for your printer device in order to ensure that you carry the latest software. Make sure that you are going to download the software which is meant for your PC and printer model. Also ensure that the same network is running your printer machine or the PC on which you have installed the printer software.

A:Advice On Laser Printer

I have used a HP LaserJet 1100 very successfully for 4 years now, without it ever giving a problem. The latest model I think is the Laserjet 1200. It does about 4000 pages per toner-refill.

Also Brother HL-1440 is a very good one (try Amazon.co.uk)

Rather than spending the money on a network-capable printer, buy a separate dedicated print-server like Netgear PS110 which can connect 2 printers to your network via the hub/switch.
I use that for my network at home with the above LaserJet and a colour Deskjet. Very easy to install.

My Samsung CLX 2160 laser printer was giving poor outputs in that the black text was faint. I replaced all the toner cartridges, but still get the same problem. The waste toner container was also replaced later. I have spoken to Samsung who were no real help. I've cleaned the nozzles and generally cleaned accessible bits of the printer. The test page shows colours that are reasonably good, but the black is faint. A manufacturer's repair will cost as much as a new machine.

A:HP 4600 Laser Jet Printer

If the "dots" are of exact spacing then it will be caused by a fault in the drum or the transfer system, a dot being made on each rotation.

There is usually nothing you can do about it if it is the drum, apart from replacing it. That model does have an "all in one" drum and color toner assembly I believe, but I am unsure if the drum will have the problem or the transfer belt in your case.

I am in the market for a printer for home. I don't print alot and in the past inkjets have been a pain because the cartridges dry out.

I am thinking it would be better to get a laser printer. They are so much cheaper than they used to be!

Am I right in that laser toner cartridges don't dry out? Toner is powder isn't it?

Are there any other considerations I should think about?

A:Inkjet vs laser printer question

I have never heard of toner drying out. I have had both lasers and ink jets in the past - but have switched exclusively to lasers.

I have a HP 2200d mono and 2600N color laser. The 2200d has the original cartridge in it and I've had it for years. I don't print that much - but that just shows that it still prints perfectly.

The 2600N prints great color and I'm still using the original toner cartridges. Don't use a color laser for picture quality however!

I'll never go back to ink jet for 3 primary reasons:
Nozzles gum up
Cost of ink
Slow output

I've had to throw away ink jet printers because the nozzles would gum up. You don't have to worry about that with lasers!

Hey all,

I have recently been given a Lexmark C720 link colour laser printer - a beast!

As it is worth roughly 600 - 700, not including two unopened cartridges, I wanted to get some advice on owning and operating a Laser Printer.

What sort of maintenance should I do?
How do I do double sided (duplex?) printing?
Can I put Photo quality Inkjet paper through?
Can I print adhesive labels with it?
What should I NOT do?

Any tips or advice would be much appreciated!

A:Laser Printer Running Advice

What sort of maintenance should I do?
I have had an HP5 for years and the only maintenence I've done is to occasionally replace the toner cartridge.

How do I do double sided (duplex?) printing?
Some printers require an auxiliary duplexer. Mine does; but, some come with it built into the printer. Then there are others that aren't duplex-compatible at all.

Can I put Photo quality Inkjet paper through?
I use laser and inkjet paper in mine and I think the only difference between them is the wrapper.

Can I print adhesive labels with it?
I have printed adhesive adhesive labels with mine since it was new.

What should I NOT do?
Buy a brand other than HP. Well, I'm prejudiced; I've never had a minute's trouble from my HP5.

I've seen laser printers with different DPI. They say that 2400 DPI is better than 1200 DPI, 600 DPI better than 300 DPI and so on.

However when they mention that a printer supports:
600 x 600 DPI, 1200 x 600 DPI, 1200 x 1200 DPI, 2400 x 1200 DPI, 2400 x 2400 DPI I get a bit more confused. Do the 2 numbers refer to the y and x axis?

So that means a 1200 x 600 DPI prints better quality from left to right (1200 dots per inch) and half of that quality from bottom to top (600 dots per inch)?

Or in other words what the difference and which is better of the following two: 2400 x 2400 DPI and 2400 x 1200 DPI?

Hello all,
please forgive me if I sound like a noob. I'm thinking of buying a laser printer and I see all these types of color cartridges. Colors such as Cyan, Magenta, Black, Yellow etc... Do all of these go inside the printer individually? The printer is this model: Click here

A:Laser printer cartridge capacity help

Yes, there will be four cartridges... Black, Yellow, Cyan, and Magenta... the printer sorts them all out, but they are darned expensive at replacement time... as much as $130 each... or more, depending on the brand of computer.
HP laser printers will not work with off brands of ink. The new ones will not run unless they have the expensive HP cartridges.

But the ink does last a long time... you can find sources online that will tell you how much... The HP 3600 and similar use way too much ink... compared with Konica Minolta, Samsung, etc.

Hi. I'm a production assistant at a small film company. We just moved locations and it was my job to reset all the tech. One of the most important things was to get a non-wireless network-enabled laser printer (HP LaserJet 1022n) onto the wireless network. I was having trouble with that, when sure enough, something else happened. I'm now getting a paper jam error even though there is no visible paper anywhere in the printer. I cleaned all reachable parts, I dusted the hell out of it with canned air, and I even took some of it apart just to get a better look - nothing. I had just been printing test papers last week, too.

We really don't have enough money to buy another networkable laser printer, so does anyone have any more ideas before we call someone to fix it?

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

My laser was working fine after I hooked it up. Now when I print files, especially .pdf files, I get unrecognizable characters. Also, if I print a Word document, the font is completely different than the one I used in the file.

Any suggestions. Thank you!

I want to buy new printer. I have an old HP inkjet F380 printer but it is slow and can not print many papers. I mostly print white and black but sometime I print color pages.

I want to buy laser printer since I read that they are faster and cartage last longer but I am concern about the refill cost. the refill ink for inkjet printer is easy and cheap: Just use needle and refill or I can buy printer that has large tank and tubes which refill the cartage.

I am using Windows 7 and keep getting the above error when I try to use the scan. I have uninstalled and reinstalled tooooooo many times. There must be a solution out there somewhere. Anyone have a solution?

A:HP 1312 MFP Laser Printer Error 8,5,0,0

Go to Add Remove Programs and uninstall all HP printer software, and any other software associated with the HP Scanner/Printer suite. Unplug the USB cable from the computer. Restart the computer. When you boot back up, do a search for any HP software or scanning software. If it finds anything delete it.Now go to Printers and Faxes, if the HP printer is listed there then right click it and Uninstall it. Empty the Recycle bin, and restart again if you deleted any other files. Now install the HP software, do not plug in the USB cable until the software tells you to.

Thought it might be of interest for anyone else with this 5 year old printer to know that on my system it works with XP drivers (downloaded from the Samsung site) but NOT Vista drivers.

Right-click on the driver file, select Troubleshoot Compatability, and follow the instructions.

Cheers

Phil

A:Samsung ML-1510 700 Laser Printer

Thanks for the trick. I've been unable to print on our networked Samsung SCX-4521F laser printer. Finally I downloaded the latest driver from samsung, extracted the exe to a folder then right-click on the setup.exe and choose properties>compatibility "run this program in compatibility mode for: windows vista "

I have a used HP LaserJet p2015

It is a USB connected Printer...
Can we sare this printer on our wireless network..

I have tried IP address ..
it sends a test page but never reaches the printer..

Can we share this printer...
Printer is hooked up to the besktop by USB

A:Trying to Share my laser printer on wierless

1) Are both PCs on the same 'workgroup'?

2) have you shared the printer?

3) you say IP address, did you add the IP address of the PC sharing the printer as a printer port, or did you connect to \\ip_address\printer_share_name

ideally (pretend the PC sharing the printer is 'PC1' and the printer was shared as 'HP2015') Then you would go to the PC that wants to print and connect to \\PC1\HP2105 (by browsing to it over network neighborhood, or simply clicking on 'Start', 'Run', and typing \\PC1\HP2105 [hit enter or click OK]

Does any one know of a laser printer that will feed and print 4" x 6" postcards? Doing mass mailing and would like to print addresses, etc. on the postcards. My HP Laserjet 1200 will print on the card but it doesn't spit the card out completely due to small size. Plus sheetholder is not designed for the small size so feeding the cards in is a manual process. I'm trying to avoid the manual process.

I am considering purchasing a color laser printer. I've been clocking the ads and an HP is down to around $700.00. I think the cartridges run around $90.00 each.

Anyone got any input on lasers? I have had good luck with HP products in the past so I am leaning toward their product.

Thanks in advance for any imput.

I want to hookup an older scanner to my computer An adapter or card is cost prohibitive and I was advised that the best way to do it is to daisy chain the scanner off of my printer I have an HP Laser Jet II Printer and an Envisions Pro Scanner U-Max Engine I was told that the scanner should be at the end of the chain The HP Printer has a serial port next to the printer port connection Also there is an unassigned space next to the serial port Laser chaining a II HP to scanner Daisy Jet Printer The unassigned space has a metal plate fastened Daisy chaining a scanner to HP Laser Jet II Printer with two screws and the words written accross that say quot other devices quot My question is -- quot Does the serial port Daisy chaining a scanner to HP Laser Jet II Printer on the HP support data out or only data in quot The Envisions Pro Scanner has a -pin scuzzy connection on the scanner side and the other end of the cable fits the serial port on the printer perfectly I haven t tried plugging it in because the printer cable has a degree style connector that is blocking the serial port I figured it wouldn t be worth the trouble of finding another printer cable unless I knew for sure that the serial port on the printer supported data in Thanks RANDAL email protected nbsp

Did you follow the install directions? In most cases the printer is not connected until after the printer driver is installed.
I assume you downloaded the 64 bit driver.
