Please wait while Windows configures Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007

Q: Please wait while Windows configures Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007

Hi,
Every time I open Free Mp3 Wma Converter by Koyotesoft or Startup Delayer by r2 Studios,
I get a Windows Installer window which says:
"Please wait while Windows configures Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007"
When I click cancel, another window appears with the same message! I need to click cancel 3-6 times to reach the program!
What is causing this problem?

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/directdownload.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

I have cleared the registry.
I have uninstalled the previous trial office
I have uninstalled ultimate and reinstalled

Hi. Anyone could help me here..

Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007 configures everytime I open it. Tried to reinstall a couple of time but got no luck. Tried to search on the web but didn't able to fix the problem.

Kindly help. Thanks!

A:Microsoft Office enterprise 2007 configures everytime I open it

Try this:

1. Un-install office from control panel>add or remove.
2. Delete the office registry key under both hives
Hkey_current_user\software\Microsoft\officeHkey_Local_Machine\software\Microsoft\office
3. Reboot your computer
4. Install office.

I have recently installed office 2007 and everytime I try to use the programs Word or Excel etc I get the message

Configuration Progress
"Please wait while windows configures microsoft office"

It takes a few minutes till the program then starts.

this is very annoying and time consuming.

Any solution? All help appreciated.
Thanks

A:Problem: Please wait while windows configures microsoft office

This could be caused by one of the following:

1. You upgraded but kept the older version.
2. You have Access Runtime installed.

If you open an Office file with one version, and then open another Office file with the other version, Office resets its registry info. Hence the message.

Hope this helps.

I found an expired thread on this subject that was written a few years ago. I followed mastersnoopy's advice and it worked out great to get into my Microsoft Office 2010 programs, but I'm still getting the same message every time I open a specific file such as a Word document or an Excel spreadsheet. I tried to follow the same steps (more or less), but they didn't work out for specific files. Can someone please tell me how to get rid of this annoying message when opening MS Office 2010 documents. Thank you!

A:Please wait while Windows configures Office

I and almost everyone in my office has had this very same problem with Office 2000. If you look in the MDSN knowledge base there are a couple of articles dealing with it (some sort of problem with the installer if I recall) but their solution 1)involves poking around in the registry... something that I don't have much desire to do and 2) I've been given to understand that their remedy doesn't alway work.

For Office 2000, I have successfully employed the following inefficient ploy to get this to stop: copy the contents of the entire installation disk to a new folder on C: and install from the folder rather than the CD and just leave the folder and all the files in it there on C: (disk space is cheap). I use to know how this worked but now I forget... the jist is that as long as office has access to the installation files, you won't see the "configuring" message.

Perhaps a similar fix might work for Office 2003.

Good Luck

Do you use a registry cleaner like CC Cleaner? I was having your issue for the longest time and it turned out that CC Cleaner was wiping out some important registry entries.

Every time I start up my computer and every time I open Microsoft Word, I get this message: "Please wait while windows configures Microsoft xp professional." If I click OK, it doesn't work. If I click CANCEL, then Word opens.

I saw in other threads that this sort of thing happened to people who upgraded to Office 2003, but I have not upgraded. I started getting this message right after I installed Chinese language onto my computer. It seems that nothing is really wrong, but I just have no idea how to stop this message from popping up all the time.

I'm running Media Center Edition 2005 and have Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007 installed but it does not show up in the Add/Remove Programs list in the Control Panel. All the updates are listed but not the program itself. I don't need to uninstall it now but would like to know why it isn't there in case I should ever need to uninstall and reinstall it. BTW, this is a legal and validated version.

Hi there
Why not look at what the Student and Teacher edition contains and just use the same (or similar) components plus Outlook (Student and Teacher edition doesn't include an Email client).

EXCEL, Powerpoint and Word are what you probably need together with an email client (say OUTLOOK).

Most offices I've been in don't really require MS Access either - although I would leave in the organisational management chart EXCEL plugin.

Also when you install you can also set options to be only available the first time a user tries to use the function.

If you have any egineering or Maths type of work I'gd leave in the equation editor too.

Cheers

I'm attempting to install Microsoft Office 2007 Enterprise, and during installation an error message appears that says something like: error - cannot update file/folder at c:\windows\pchealth, installation cannot proceed.

Then the installer rolls back everything and I get mad. Does anyone have any suggestions? How do I authorize the folder? This has been happening for a while and a solution will make me very happy inside.

Just thought I'd also mention this as it may have some bearing on why this is happening: When I purchased my computer it came with Windows XP Media Center, but a virus plagued my system and my hard drive became corrupted and I had to reinstall windows. Unfortunately, I didn't have the installation disk and ended up installing a non-Media Center edition on a disk from my roommate. I don't know if this would affect anything...but just thought I'd put it out there.

I came across several similar cases described in various in Forums but no solution presented solved my situation.
I am running under W2k-SP4. Whenever I try to install a program, "Please wait while Windows configures Scansoft PDF Professional 3.0" pops up. It also pops up when I run some Utility programs installed months ago (such as Registry Mechanic).
I got rid of all Scansoft softwares weeks ago (Uninstall + deletion of registry entries using Resplendent Registrar).
I replaced msiexec with Windows Installer 3.1 (KB893803-v2-x86). Nothing doing.

A:Please wait while Windows configures …

You may think you got rid of all of the Scansoft stuff but no matter what program you remove there is always something left. Outside of editing the registry there may not be anything you can do to adequately remove the Scansoft from your computer. If you still have the Scansoft software it might just do better to re-install it and if this stops the re-install stuff just leave it alone. Also you can go to their site and check if there is any special procedure or program for removing it from a system.

ok this is annoying. Some help please. I have Vista 64 Ultimate. I just started getting this. Every time I open word 2007, i get this message "Please wait while windows configures Roxio Creator 2009". I wait, then ok, it opens Word. But this is every time now. I uninstalled Roxio and re-installe it, no help. I tried Office 2007 repair, no luck. Can anyone point me to right direction. Thanks.

A:Please wait while windows configures

You might have better luck if you try updating Roxio. Office is not directly launching Roxio componentry - it doesn't even "know" that Roxio exists. The message can only come from Roxio code, and hence updating or repairing that may help.

My particular application that is giving me trouble is AutoCad Mechanical 2010, so I get the message "Please wait while windows configures AutoCad Mechanical 2010". But as I have tried to research this I found that it happens with quite a few different programs. The pop-up appears every time I open Word 2007, but also appears at other random times. AutoCad Mechanical 2010 is already installed, running fine and all of my software is legit.
The most often recommended fix is to run the installer cleanup utility but that appears to mostly apply to programs you having troubles installing or un-installing. I tried running it a selecting a few different options, with no success.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Rich

A:Please wait while windows configures.....

Welcome to Seven Forums richlars. This is actually an Office issue. Do a google and you will find many hits. I'd suggest you 1st try to repair Office.

Start> In search box type Programs and Features

Click on Office 2007> Click Change> Choose Repair option, then click Continue. Restart your PC and see if this helped.

When I am in as admin user I do not get this message, however, when not in as the administrator and logged in as any other user, and I run any microsoft office application, I get this, message. "Preparing to install, please wait while windows configues Microsoft Office edition 2003, then a second dialogue box appears, which says: Error 1309. Error reading from file: D:\SKU011.CAB. Verify that the file exists and that you can access it". When I click cancel in the Dialogue box, I am then able to go into the application.

A:Please wait while windows configures, file sharing problem?

Microsoft Office does this when it detects that a component is missing and it tries to locate the .CAB (Windows Cabinet file) which were put on the hard drive as part of the installation procedure, afterwards it asks if you would like to keep the "Temporary Setup Files" which is what Office is looking for in your case. If you still have the installation disc maybe you could try pointing it towards that, if not then im afraid I can't help.

A:Windows 7 RC & Office 2007 Enterprise

Office 2007 Enterprise Edition is fully functional in Windows 7. Either your files are corrupt on your install disk or something went wrong on the install. And I don't think you should talk about patching/cracking programs, but I will let you know I didn't need a patch for Office 2007, just a serial.

I recently re-installed Office Pro 2010 and now Outlook configures the program each time I run it. I installed the latest Windows Updates and I have no problem with Word or Excel. They run like they should. I checked off the "run from my computer" box when I did the install. I even went back and loaded just Outlook from the Office Pro 2010 install disk, but it still configures before it opens. What should I do to correct this ridiculous behavior? TIA srloren

I recently formatted my HD and reinstalled MS Office Enterprise 2007, I last used MS Excel on the 08/06/2014 without a problem, today I go to use my Excel spreadsheet and for some weird reason it wants to roundup my cells.
I have cleared the cells formatted the number but it still keeps on rounding up 25799 to 258. I downloaded a stack of MS Office updates 3 days ago, is it possible one of these Updates has corrupted - broken my Excel program?

I am considering uninstalling all of those updates and turning off Updates for MS Office altogether.

A:Excel 2007 (MS Office 2007 enterprise)

Hi there.

To test if it's really a software issue, please try out on a new excel spreadsheet and see if the problem is still there. It might not necessarily be the software. Once we have confirmation that the problem exist on a fresh new spreadsheet, then try to do a repair first before uninstalling.

Recently office 2007 will not load--get error 1325 'publisher' is not a valid short file name. I tried to delete the program to reinstall and got the same message. I tried to reinstall from the disk (with out deleting the previous copy) and still got rejected. I have previously gotten the reject error 1325 data service is not a valid short file name. I would try a system restore point but I'm not sure when the problem started, could have been several weeks ago. Any ideas? Thanks, Mike

I do not own a fax mechine in my home.

I have written a document and filled in a PDF form and saved in my computer.

I have written my document in the Office Enterprise 2007-Word on my desktop that has Win 7 Ultimate x64 OS.

Is ther a free software that I could use to fax my document using my broadband connection directly from my computer to a destination that request my document & the PDF form?

Regards

A:How could I fax in office Enterprise 2007 &Win 7 Ultimate x64?

Fax (or facsimile as it stands) for uses A Fax Modem, so an old fashioned 56k PCI Fax/Modem can be used to send Faxs using Windows built in fax facilities (see the Fax device in Devices and Printers) which can be configured to use the Fax/Modem.

A less well known way is Fax over IP, which uses VOIP (Voice over IP facilities), so you could use a Skype account and an add-on called PamFax (Use Skype As a Fax Machine: Send a Fax from Computer).

The only other way it so Email the PDF to the user, FTP it to a FTP file server, or use a Instant Messaging utility such as Windows, MSN, Google or Yahoo chat to send it over your broadband network to another user.

I am not sure when this happened, but there is no data in the 'Help' links to any of the modules. When I press the "?" help links, either nothing happens at all or a box opens and when I touch 'list the index' it appears on the left, but nothing displays on the answer box on the right. I have tried repairing, uninstalling and reinstalling - still the same.

I have searched the internet and there does appear to be history on this, but unfortunately none with any resolution to the problem.

If anyone can offer any suggestions I would be extremely grateful.

Installing pirated copies of software carries a risk. Aside from the inability to remove Office 2007, you may also be infected with viruses and spyware. I would suggest formatting your system.

A:Where can I download a copy of Office Enterprise 2007?

To the best of my knowledge...
Since Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007 was never sold outright (legally) on the retail market, or offered to OEM's and only offered with a volume license, you should be able to get the install package from your enterprise administrator (at work).

If you are the person in charge of the licensing information, you should be able to log into the Licensing Center, where the download is available...

Best of luck and Please keep BC posted!

A:Office Enterprise 2007 - new install fails

I'd recommend you use a registry cleaner and delete all the install files before you try installing again. After that, just for fun, try defragmenting your hard drive. Then reinstall.

The registry cleaning and clearing the install files should help a bit. I'm not sure about the defragmenting, but I'm often a fan of trying to trick a computer into doing what it should.

A:Office Enterprise 2007 constantly tries to install

Hi there and welcome to Eight Forums,

It seems to me like you screwed up the uninstallation of Office 2007 . There must be some files left behind so now the system is trying to repair the installation. But it cannot do that due to insufficient of files.

It seems to me you can do two things in this stadium. First of all, you could do a full reinstallation of your PC. That is a proven method but it takes time. The other option would be the more likely one ==>
First you must uninstall the Office 2013 installation (don't worry, after you've reinstalled it the software will remember your settings );
Then try to reinstall the Office 2007 using the origional installation disk;
If the reinstallation of Office 2007 succeded you can try a uninstallation of Office 2007 (via add/remove programs. Read first then click );
If the uninstallation of Office 2007 was succesfull you can reinstall Office 2013.
I recon there is a 50% change that the tips above will work. It all depend on how screwed up the remaining Office 2007 files are.

Good luck with it!

Greetz,

Rover
ps. If you use Outlook PST files don't forget to make a BACKUP first! And don't configure the software to custom specs until after the operation was succesfull.

I have a dell dimension 4700c. I had to re-load XP and re-load most of the drivers. Device manager shows all hardware working O.K and all drivers have been updated/reloaded. I have re-installed most of the software that came with the machine, and it has installed all the updates, including SP3. I cannot load the MS office enterprise 2007. After putting it in the cd drive, nothing happens. If I go to "run" to install, I get "install a disc in cd drive" warning. It's as if it doesn't recognize there's a disc in the drive. Brand new install of Office 2007...I get a message "Please wait while windows configures Microsoft Office 2007" every time I start Outlook, and it takes aeons to start up, seems to run through an install routine every time. Outlook Connector won't load so I can't access my hotmail...

Similar thing with Excel - a windows pops up that says "stdole32.tlb" with an OK button, then it runs through the install routine.

Access also gives the "please wait...." message, as do Powerpoint and Word.

One Note and Publisher start without a hitch, and Groove crashes on every startup.

Any ideas ? I have tried uninstalling / reinstalling etc, renaming setup.exe and editing the .pip registry entry, none of which worked. Renaming setup.exe worked initially, but then the system re-created the file.

System is Macbook 13" running Windows 7 64bit, MsOffice 2007 fully updated with all patches etc.

Hi,

If you read through This Article from Microsoft you can download a utility which will completely remove Office from your system including bits that the normal uninstaller doesn't remove. You may find running this then re-installing office might help

Hello! I am trying to install Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007 on some networks computers at my church.

The particular computer I'm having problems with is an Acer Aspire 5050. It is running Windows Vista Basic.

The problem that I'm having is I install the programs and everything working perfectly fine untill I run Outlook. I run it the frist time and it is fine, when I close it however it pops up an error message saying I need to re-install and it will not let me open it anymore. In addition to that, the rest of the programs in Enterprise...(word, powerpoint, excel, groove, etc.)

Any help in how to fix this problem before contacting my computers support would be great.

We purchased 6x secondhand Dell Vostro 230 PCs from a business that was closing down.
All have Office Enterprise 2007 installed. Using Belarc, it has been identified that all computers have the same product key. After Office was wiped on one, when the PC was 'factory reset', it could not be reinstalled and a call to MS resulted in being told we need to buy a retail copy, as we could not provide the licensing details.
With Office Professional 2007 costing several hundred dollars, any suggestions to circumvent this, as the PCs were a legitimate purchase?

A:Reinstalling Office 2007 Enterprise without licensing details

Hi there.

Why not just take an IMAGE from one of the other computers and restore it on to the "broken one". They are all "Identical machines" !!!.

When you get asked for Windows re-activation just enter the product number of the original computer I would assume these machines have either Enterprise or Pro version of windows installed on them.

I'd even suspect that as they are identical machines you wouldn't even have to activate Windows again !!! -- but to comply with the EULA you really should enter the ORIGINAL product key --so do it via CHANGE PRODUCT KEY (or type SLUI 3 from the Run command).

Office won't need activation -- no hardware change.

The BELARC data should give you the product key of the ORIGINAL windows key for the "Broken" machine. Alternatively the windows key might be on a sticker on the machine itself or perhaps on the invoice when you purchased the machines.

(To image the machines use Free Macrium to copy image to external device and boot from USB / DVD)

Cheers

Hi guys, I'm having a problem with this Microsoft Groove Application. For one thing i have no idea what it is? Another being that I am currently using Microsoft Office 2003 and have purchased the Microsoft Office 2007 Enterprise. But when trying to install the 2007 version it says there has been a previous installation of Groove and before i update to Microsoft Office Groove 2007 i need to uninstall the previous version. I've had a look on Add/Remove programmes and its not there so any idea's guys?

Thanks...

A:Microsoft Office Groove 2007 - Windows XP

You'd go to Add/Remove Programs and click the Change button next to Office 2003. Then follow the prompts to modify the existing Office installation to remove Groove. When you install Office 2007, don't select it during the install process if you don't want it or need it.

When I sent a message and when I was using Microsoft Office Outlook 2003, I had an option that enabled me to add a photo following or preceding my text. This option enabled me to put a photo in the text area and place text under or above the photo explaining the photo. I am now running Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 using Windows Home Premium 64 bit and I cannot find this option. If this is no longer an option, how can I place a photo in the text area and then follow with text explaining the photo? If this is not possible, I guess this new version is a downgrade!

Hi All....

I am running Win XP Professional, And Microsoft office 2007 2007 Enterprise... Works Great, But with word, We are getting a config screen and then a dialogue that says this:

"An error occurred and this feature is no longer functioning properly. Please run Setup and select 'Repair...' to restore this application"

Now i assumed that this was due to the fact that this was a student account. We then upgraded the account to Domain Admin, and we are getting the same error.

This is in an enterprise, and if we were to repair the Word File, We would have to do it on all 18 computers on said domain.

Is there an alternative?

A:"windows Configures Microsoft Money 2002" Constant Message During Ie

Hello msraymac and welcome to the BC HijackThis forum. I see no signs of viruses or malware in the log. It is clean.

Sometimes security applications clean out legitimate programs when they perform a scan. If you just deleted MS Money without doing an uninstall then there could easily be left-over files and most probably all of the registry entries will still be present. The best thing to do would be to install MS Money again and then perform an uninstall to properly remove all of the files and settings.

Cheers.

Ok, well up until yesterday my father was using Office 2000 with Microsoft binder for work. He just got a new laptop for work and he's got Office 2007 installed. From the looks of Microsoft's site it states that 'Microsoft Unbind is not included with Office 2007.' Looks like what I really need is Microsoft Binder from Office 2000. Is there a place I can download it (legally) or purchase it? He literally has thousands of binder files (*.obd) that he needs to be able to access. I've tried searching with nothing turning up.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

A:Microsoft Office Binder (*.obd files) with Office 2007?

So further searching turned up that Unbind for Office XP/2003 is just a waste of time for Office 2007 and no point in looking further into that.

So then I found this:
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=822622

Which seems to me if I can track down a Office 2000 disc I should be able to install JUST Binder 2000. Results show that it works along side Office XP/2003 so I don't see why it wouldn't with Office 2007. It would only be used to unbind old files, not create new ones.

If anyone has any other thoughts that would be great.
I'll look into what I wrote above tomorrow and post back with the results if need be.

To All,

Just installed Outlook 2007 today. Seems that when opening Outlook or when sending messages that Windows installer is repeatedly running before things are done. States gathering necessary information or configuring Outlook in notification boxes and then things will finally process once all this stops. Is this a none issue with Outlook and Vista that one has to live with? Please advise if there is any solution or just something to live with.

Thank you,

My 2002 version has corrupted wiping out all my Outlook contacts which I'm not happy about. I also lost the disk which doesn't help. Also, each time I tried to open Word, Windows Installer pops up asking me to install the disk.

A friend advised that he has Office 2007 which he can install and which has the "licence number" built in so it can be used by more then one person. I am a bit confused about that but he states that it has been installed in several computers. If OK, this will save me big bucks.

Should I uninstall 2002 first or will the installation of 2007 just override it?Bear in mind I don't have the 2002 disk eek:where is that damn thing?) so can't confirm any registration codes.

I am the administrator on this computer. When I try to launch setup on my other laptop that runs 32bit it works just fine. Before I bought the new laptop I checked to see if my software would work on 64bit and the internet said it would. Am I doing anything wrong?

I used my recovery cd's to fix a messed up laptop and when I opened Microsoft Word, I was asked to activate it. I couldn't get the product key, so I tried to install the trial and could hopefully retrieve the product key from a program, but when I typed in the product key, it just installed Microsoft Office Trial again...

Can someone help me retrieve my product key?

I recently installed Microsoft Office 2007 and it was working fine for a week, now i get this message when i try to use Microsoft Word saying "This modification is not allowed because the selection is locked"
And when I try to uninstall the whole program it says that 'setup can not continue because a file is missing or corrupt'

Any ideas on how to uninstall the program? or how to get it working again?

I have MS office 2007, and I wanted reinstall from ultimate to professional plus. After that on desktop appeared nameless folder, and I can't delete it. How I must delete that folder?
It's right-click menu contains only cut, create shortcut and delete. When I press delete, it says: "Are you sure you want to delete these icons from your desktop? To restore it later, go to Control Panel." I delete it, but when press refresh it appears again.

I hope this is the correct forum.
Anyway a while back my daughter for her online class had to install the trial version of microsoft office professional 2007 mainley to use the office word part. Well now that the trial version has expired none of the features work. If I uninstall this expired version from the computor, will the old version still be present? If the two intermixed will both be uninstalled? I don't know if I have the original installation cd. All that microsoft works stuff was already installed on the computor. Is it at possiable to restore the original microsoft office programs? Thier pretty expensive otherwise!!
Hope this all made since. Thanks .

I have vista home premium 32bit and i have been recently getting error messages like the following: "the program has stopped working". Microsoft office 2007 was working for about couple of weeks when i installed it, but later on, it started not to work. I tried the repair function, reinstalling it, manually deleting the files and reinstalling it afterwards. I have also tried installing service pack 1 RTM to see if it will fix the problem. But so far, nothing works. Will the offical service pack fix this problem? Any suggestions? Thanks!

Is there something you may have installed since installing Office 2007 that could be causing 2007 to play up?

Hoping somebody can help me - my system crashed during an automatic update and ever since then I have been unable to access any of the Office applications. There was an error message saying that the system was corrupted and there is an issue with windows installer. I've tried to uninstall the package, but cannot do this by using either the unistall button from the uninstall a program function or the fixit option on the Microsoft website. Any suggestions?

GO to add/remove programs and do a repair install of Office.
