Preferred Solution: acer aspire one laptop with xp home wont boot up

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/directdownload.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

That is what those messages are basically telling you. It hasn't found a hard drive

Remove and reseat the hard drive and see if they go away.

You may be able to boot from a CD or USB and test the hard drive if it is recognised.

Hi all I'm hoping someone can give me a little help. Windows 10 needed to do a large update and I could'nt create enough space on the drive for this so I decided to do a system reset rather than uninstall everthing to create the space. As it stands now when powering on the logo screen comes on for a while then goes off and comes back on this loops indefinitely. So this is what I've tried:I can access the BIOS and have moved boot from USB FDD to the top because it made me feel betterCreated a windows 10 boot drive but it won't boot from it.Alt F10 takes me to recovery page which tells me its broke and required media is missingI can acces boot manager but the only option is to boot with windows boot managerAny help would be greatly appreciated.

A:Aspire E 11 wont boot past Acer logo

the first bootable device must be windows boot manager. if your windows 10 installation media is not booting, that means is not UEFI compatible. download the windows 10 iso file using the official Microsoft tool:http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10 once done, use Rufus to create the bootable USB flash drive, use the settings in its website main page:rufus.akeo.ie/?locale=en_US plug the USB to your laptop, press F12 at boot and choose the USB flash drive.

i recently bought an acer aspire m1640 off of someone. But when i turned it on it made a loud EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE noise. I narrowed down frow where the noise is coming fom and its coming from the lower right corner of the motherboard. Its not from the hard drive or any of the fans. it seems that its coming from a small cylinder with a hole on top of it and there is a small lithium ion battery next to it. Does anyone know whats wrong or how to fix it???

A:acer aspire wont boot noise EEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

The EEEEEE noise you are referring to is coming from yur motherboard onboard speaker, and is a series of high pitched beeps. I;ve looked at the board maual and it does not refer to the different beep combinations it has.

Try powering up the Pc with the top off the case and check things such as the CPU fan is running, check all hardware is seated correctly as it more than likely will be some form of hardware failure. Also try replacing the CMOS battery (the small lithium ion battery you mentioned)

Hi, I have an Acer Aspire 5517 laptop, and it won't stay on. I let it charge for 3 hours, and turn it on.It will go to the first boot screen where you have the F10 or F12 options, and then it will just turn off. It turns off as if the battery was just removed from it. Other days, it will turn on, and work great. And, sometimes it will turn on, then work for a while, then turn off, as if the battery were removed from it once again. I have tested the battery, and charger, they both work fine, and the battery holds a charge. Any ideas on what might be going on?

A couple of years ago I bought an Acer Aspire 5750Z-4835 running Windows 7. This was a new laptop.

Not long afterwards when I tried to boot the computer a screen would appear that said "Launch Startup Repair". I did. The computer works several times and again the Launch Startup Repair appeared.

This has happened 8 to 10 times since I bought the laptop. I have even wiped the HD, reinstalled the OS but it still happens.

So, my question is, why does this laptop continue to have this problem?

A:No boot Acer Aspire running W7 Home Premiun

It could be that you have a recurring file system corruption. This could be caused by power problems, or you could have a failing hard drive.

First test, run Disk Check from windows:
Disk Check

Second test, download and run the hard drive manufacturer's hard drive diagnostic program on the drive. You can find a link to these on the manufacturer's website.

Have been trying to install XP Home on an Acer Aspire 4730Z which came with Vista 32-bit operating system as a standard.

I have been trying to install XP Home SP2, I get as far as being able to boot from the CD at startup, then once the installation has finished booting and loading files, it suddenly blue-screens.

The code on the blue screen I get is the following:

0x0000007B
0xF78D2524
0xC0000034
0x00000000
0x00000000€

Anyone able to tell me what is going wrong? Or another way I can install XP rather than Vista on this laptop?

Hello folks,

My sister's Acer Aspire 3002LMI has recently ceased to power on whatsoever. Bought in '05 and run mostly from the mains, it suddenly acted as though it was running out of battery - despite being plugged into the mains - and went into hibernation.

By the time she showed it to me, pressing the power button would just make the battery charge LED flash 8 times - nothing else. Now, a few days later, absolutely nothing happens when I press the power button.

The problem occurs regardless of whether the battery is in the laptop. She never used the laptop without the battery in - as it formed part of the base - so whether it ever worked without the battery is not certain. I've also tried using another power cable, to no avail.

So, any ideas what the cause of this problem could be? Any suggestions or comments would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks,
Rob

Hello everyone!
I don't know if this is the right place to ask this question but ...
I have Acer aspire e1-571 laptop for a while now more than one year. Recently it started to boot really slow. Not the windows part but the time between pressing the power button and Acer logo appearing.. Was very long about 10 to 20 min. I searched for a solution, and I tried removing the bios battery and putting it back. But now it dosntieven boot up anymore. I waited on it all night all nothing. The lights are on I even hear the fan but nothing the screen doesn't show anything.
Could anyone help me with this.
Thanks in advance.

A:acer aspire laptop won't boot up.. help !

Try reseating the memory. If you have more than one stick, try booting with just one stick, and then alternating. Sometimes, it can be the memory slot itself, so try the other.

Also, be sure to have all external devices unplugged: USB sticks, hard drives, mice, etc.

A:Acer Aspire Laptop won't start/boot

You can either have a failing hard drive on your hands or an over heating system or perhaps both. First lets test your hard drive by going to another computer if possible.

Download UBCD which is in my signature.Burn the ISO Image to a blank CD using Imgburn (How to burn a ISO Image using Imgburn) burn at lowest speed. With the newly burned cd boot with the cd go to HDD>Diagnostics>The make and model of your hard drive, Seagate, Maxtor, Drive Fitness which is Hitachi, Or Western Digital. Perform a short and long test. Could also be called "Standard" and "Extended" test or also "Comprehensive" test. The Seagate hard drive test will work on most drives.

If you can not find the right test for your hard drive your OEM computer may have it's own hard drive diagnostics testing tool. Refer to your OEM computer documentation to find out how to access these test. Also try going to the manufacture of your machine to find documentation about it. Also consider going to the manufacture of your hard drive to look to see if they have hard drive diagnostics test. The ideal test or method would include an ISO that could be burned via an image to a cd which would be made bootable.

Also go into bios under Hardware Monitor or PC health and look at temp readings and post here.

Then we will give the next steps depending on the results.

Also I see in your profile you have listed Windows XP. This a Windows 7/Vista portion of TSF. Can you tell us which version of Windows you have so we can better assist you.

Hi all hoping someone can help me with this I was online earlier when suddenly my laptop started screaming about a virus being detected My virus protection expired last week and I hadn t got around to replacing it thanks to having no money so in a bit of laptop 5335 will Acer boot up not Aspire a panic I immediately turned off Acer Aspire 5335 laptop will not boot up my modem and then turned off the laptop Now however the laptop will not start up here s the exact sequence of events that takes place on pressing power on Acer loading screen starts as normal Blue loading bar fills at normal speed Screen then switches to blank black screen with a flashing cursor in the top left corner Pressing most buttons produced a high pitched beep sound and the only thing that seems to do anything is Ctrl-Alt-Delete which simply seems to reset the black screen with the flashing cursor - the screen goes black then reverts to the erroneous screen I can still get into my Setup Utility screen by pressing F during the Acer boot screen but when it goes beyond that none of the F buttons will work Any suggestions EDIT Some more information It s a Vista machine Warranty expired ages ago sadly And I haven t opened it up yet nbsp

A:Acer Aspire 5335 laptop will not boot up

First, we can suggest a number of security softwares that are absolutely free and are excellent in protection.

Second, there is the possibility you'll need to do a reformat due to infection. However, first go to our Virus and Malware Removal forum and read the Updated 8 Step sticky. At this point it doesn't see you'll be able to necessarily do the steps but at least familirize yourself with the process.

Then on that forum, if you cannot do the steps, post your issues and make sure you tell them about the virus.

Easiest thing to start with is to check the HDD.

Run the DOS version of the LONG test of SeaTools, as described here:

my wife's laptop recently had a virut infect it and it made a complete mess of it with the help of another forum my apologies already i thought i cleaned up the mess but it turns out no now when i boot up i get safe mode options along with the normal boot and boot with last known working config all of them except the last known working config end up just looping infinitely the last known config XP reinstall boot during Acer from wont laptop CD just brings it to a black screen and nothing happens at all i have a backup cd i made but i am not sure how it works and it wouldnt boot it after i changed the boot sequence in the BIOS to cd Acer laptop wont boot from CD during XP reinstall as the first boot source i figured ok time to just reinstall XP unfortunately i dont have one so i broke down and burned a copy from a source not though when i boot the cd doesnt boot up and i ended up Acer laptop wont boot from CD during XP reinstall in the same situation with the same loop any ideas

A:Acer laptop wont boot from CD during XP reinstall

If you had a working CD, I'd suggest booting from the CD and trying to perform a repair. As you don't have a CD, you will either need to A) contact Acer and try to get a disk or B) buy a new copy.

I have an acer laptop that I can not get to boot up even in safe mode. I have even tried to boot from my recovery disc with no luck. Any suggestions?

A:Acer Laptop wont boot up even in safe mode

Hi,

Do you get the basic startup? with the bios and everything?
If so, try pressing f8 and go to the option: disable automatic restart on system failure.
If I'm correct you will be getting a blue screen of death (a.k.a. BSOD).

also you will get a message which sould say something like: 0x0000000xx ( where the last 2 x's stand for a number or letter)

Could you post that code?

It started saying winboot.exe is missing - I tried making a repair disk from a website and changed the boot priority to be CD first, and it wont boot from the CD.

Is there any way to fix this?

A:Acer Laptop with windows Vista wont boot

What do you mean by it will not boot from CD? Does the system continue to boot as normal, without going to CD (even though you've changed the priority order), or is there an error message with the CD, is it the same winboot.exe one?

Could you explain when this error message occurs and what Operating System you are running?

Got this old laptop out of the cupboard and dusted off the cobwebs and tried to boot.
All that happened was the fans ran for a few seconds then laptop shut down.
Found that when you hold the FN key down while booting it will work properly and load windows.
Immediately you release the FN key it shuts down.
Never heard of this before so any help would be much appreciated

I restarted my computer like normal and for whatever reason the computer is now stuck at the Acer boot screen. I try to press DEL to enter Setup and I even tried pressing F12 to go into the Boot Setup, but for whatever reason the computer does not respond to anything.

To shut it off I have to hold down the power button and eventually it shuts off.

Stuff to know:
- I have a wireless mouse and keyboard being used on that desktop.. Should I perhaps try to plug in a corded mouse and keyboard?
- I'm running on Windows 7 Ultimate.
Thanks

I have tried everything I can think of I have already read through a few other threads with the same issue but none of the fixes work for me It gets to the acer screen logo not boot Acer will Acer Aspire E15 past loads that little loading circle then it just goes black I have tried pushing Alt F and it got to the acer screen and said please wait then the screen went black again I have installed Windows on a USB drive and have went into the bios and enabled the boot menu as well as change the order Acer Aspire E15 will not boot past Acer logo of the boot to the USB This got me a bit closer but still stuck After about minutes it finally went to a purple screen and a window popped up asking to install I selected my language and clicked install it went to another screen that says setup is starting and it's been sitting this way for about minutes now I'm out of ideas Don't have a clue why this is going on This is a friend of mines computer he said he was in the middle of playing a game and the laptop froze then something came up and then it shut off When it booted up it wouldn't load past the acer screen

A:Acer Aspire E15 will not boot past Acer logo

Try booting to Memtest86 you can burn a CD and I think it can also be run from a USB bootable flash drive. This will test your memory for problems and also let you know that the hardware in general will run (except the hard drive which is ignored at this stage. If the memory is good, then boot to your hard drive mfg's utility or Seatools from Seagate (DOS version) the same as Memtest but it tests your hard drive to see if it is just the drive that you cannot install on.If the memory and hard drive tests OK then you may just need to delete all current partitions on the hard drive before trying to install. If the memory does not test good, try cleaning the contacts on the memory with a soft pencil eraser and snapping them in and out 5 or 6 times to also burnish the slot's contacts. Then try memtest again on one stick at a time in case one stick is bad, swap and try again. You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.

Hi, I'm working on my brothers laptop, its a Gateway ML6720. Anyway, this computer is like 3 months old and worked fine until now. When I turn it on it shows the loading bar, but when that's done it just goes to a black screen and stays. It will not boot completely. I've tried starting it in safe mode and repair mode but it still just freezes at a certain point. I don't know what he did to it prior to this happening, probably nothing but there's no good reason why it shouldn't boot. If someone could please help it would be great. Thanks.

Hi efrain. Welcome to TSF!

Do you have your XP system CD? If so, try booting with it and select REPAIR when you get that option. That will bring you to the Recovery Console. When you get to the command window prompt, type "fixboot" and then "fixmbr" and then type "exit". Try rebooting your system and see if that works for you.

Good day!

It sounds as though you were having the same issue with the old drive! It is possible that this is a memory issue and not a drive issue. I suggest that you try exchange the memory with a new stick and try again. As for getting recovery CD’s, you’ll have to contact the manufacturer for those.

I just purchased and Acer Aspire One with Windows XP Home SP3.

I own an XP Pro SP1 upgrade CD that I would like to install on it to access the networking features of XP Pro.

I read the previous posts on slipstreaming, but it seemed to apply to XP Pro SP 2 CD's.

Can I do the same thing with the SP 1 CD and download the SP 2 updates from the Microsoft Web site?

Will I need to update drivers? Will it wipe out my hard drive in the process?

Thanks for the help!

A:Ugrade Acer Aspire one from Win XP Home to XP Pro

and welcome to the Forum

You might as well download SP3 . . you do not need to upgrade first to SP2 . . you can ago straight to SP3.

Are you planning to use nLite?

You should be able to just p[ut the cd in and choose Upgrade when the options are presented, but it is always a good idea to save your data to external drive or cd's when doing something like this.

You should not need to reload the drivers after the installation

A:Acer Aspire S7-392 wont turn on blinking power led

tried it didnt work. I have decided that its about time i put it into trash. The thing has been in and out of repair shop over 2 years. I have never had laptop that broke so easily without fault from user. Did you know First time i bought this with in 3 weeks speakers stopped working. than after 2 months whenever i turn it on it does disk check up. and into 6 months the whole thing died. it was under warranty so sent it to acer repair shop. got it back every thing worked at first. but in first week speaker stopped working again along with 1 usb port. within the 2 years i had this already spent enough for a new ultrabook. Even though my friends said acer is not a good, the thing looked so nice, so bought it anyway. I learned my lesson will never buy an acer product.

well... its all a learning curve... installing new PC into old Acer Aspire T140 case and got it all done but the front panel connectors are not singular or pairs but as so..

PWR BTN - 2 wires going into a block of six with one pin blocked out on corner
HDD/PWR LED - 4 wires going into a block of 6

obviously Acer designed the case to only be used with their motherboards...

can anyone confirm that there are no "converters" or such and the only solution is to buy a new case?
thanks

Also i have to do the same when plugin in the power cord to charge wich works fine and bayerry too, but wont charge unless i kress a key stroke, specially function of the left control key. A:Cannot connect Acer Aspire 5315 to home Wifi

Is Einstein the one who talked about perseverance and making hundreds of mistakes before hitting on a winner? Well, anyhow, the Einsteins here are probably too busy inventing or something to spend a couple months putting together the information you need.

The following was put together mostly by etaf with a little help from me.

------------------------------------------------------------------------
Atheros AR5007EG & AR5007
We have been seeing a lot of problems with the above adapters for about a year, mainly concerning WPA and WPA2 encryption and windows Vista.

The adapter gets an IP configuration, and shows as connected, but communication is non-existent or sporadic.

Log into the Router and disable the wireless security and see if you are now able to connect to the internet and surf OK.
--- Please post back here if that works or does not work.

Here are a number of possible solutions

--- 1) In Device Manager right click on the wireless adapter and "update driver." That apparently has worked for some posters.

--- 2) Download and install the latest wireless driver from your laptop manufacturer's web site support section, as some manufactures, appear to now have a working driver available.
Toshiba - update has worked for some PCs
HP The latest HP Atheros driver dated Sept 2010 has fixed the issue - so check the driver date, However, that does NOT apply to all HPs / Compaqs machines
- the poster did an online scan for driver updates on the HP website here HP Product Detection which resulted in a solution. Solved: Can't connect to internet wirelessly - Atheros AR5007 Wifi through Clear Comm - Tech Support Guy Forums

If you can post the Make and EXACT model of your PC here, along with the windows version you have and we will see if we can find the driver and will post a link as a reply here.

--- 3) On one occasion re-setting the router back to factory default and re-configuring the router settings has resolved the issue

--- 4) A few posters here with the same issue have found that the driver from this site ATHEROS drivers for Microsoft Windows resolved the issue

I do NOT know anything about the site mentioned ATHEROS drivers for Microsoft Windows

However, if you do decide to try the driver, Please let us know the outcome

Direct link to the drivers are below
You only need to click on the green download button labelled " click to download " and wait, the file will download - you do not need to click on any other buttons to get the download started

AR5007
Vista 32 Bit
Drivers for Atheros AR5007 and Windows Vista
Although this driver has shown up in BSODs (Blue Screen Of Death) on Vista SP2 systems, usually conflicting with updated Vista OS drivers like netio.sys, tcpip.sys and other networking related drivers.

AR5007EG
Vista 32 Bit
Drivers for Atheros AR5007EG and Windows Vista
Assuming that after all the above the wireless still does not connect to the internet, all I can suggest is to use wireless security of WEP or to get an external USB wireless card.

You might also bug your laptop's tech support about the problem--maybe people can put pressure on Atheros to find a fix.

So, I have been having this issue with Windows 7 on my computer. The problem is that after time, Windows seems to get buggy as I have to reboot my computer to open certain programs, programs stop responding frequently, hold the power button of to shut it off (Hangs at "Shutting Down"), and sometimes have to deal with black screens at boot up. I've tried reinstalling Windows many times, and making sure all the drivers are installed and the problem continues. Does any anyone know how I could solve this issue?

please help!!!
My aspire 5315 laptop will find, set up and connect to any router (wireless or Ethernet) but after that it won't connect to the internet. I've tried all diagnoses and all recommended repairs but nothings work. I've even tried a whole system reinstall with no luck. The internal wireless adapter is obviously fine but I just can't understand how if its connected to the router fine then why not the internet.. all fireware settings are fine also.
Someone please help

A:BSOD on Acer Aspire 5738ZG with Windows 7 Home Premium

Not a very firm answer, but several of the memory dumps blame NETIO.SYS
This is a component of the Windows networking subsystem
As such, I'd first suggest that you:
- download the latest drivers for your network device from the manufacturer's website
- uninstall the current networking drivers using Control Panel...Programs...Uninstall a program
- install the freshly downloaded drivers and see if that stops the BSOD's

Here's a summary of the BSOD's:

Has anyone experienced no sound with Windows 7? Running Home Premium 64 bit on an Acer Aspire 5742G. A bit of a search indicates sound issues when people upgrade to 7 from XP etc, but this laptop came with 7 installed already. And there has been sound...sometimes. But more often than not, just no sound.

Troubleshooting doesn't reveal any problems. Apparently everything is "working correctly". So I suppose it could be a hardware fault. Oh and the volume is turned up and not muted

Still under warranty, so gonna go that route, but just wondering if anyone else may have come across this particular issue - and if so, how'd you fix it? I suppose downloading latest drivers could be a solution.

A:No sound with Windows 7 Home Prem. x64 on Acer Aspire 5742G

Does this have an HDMI port? Check the Control Panel/Hardware and Sound and finally the Sound panel playback. Your "Speakers" should be set as the default playback device. If you have HDMI and the HDMI is set that would be why you are not hearing any sound on the PC's speakers. Same way if you have an S/PDIF digital output and it was selected, that would disable any speaker sound.

I have an Acer Aspire 1640z running XP sp 2. It has been working perfectly but has recently started playingup!

VERY slow start up and shut down (nothing seems to be happening).

Touchpad and keyboard working intermittently (although a usb mouse works fine).

Explorer.exe and then Connections Tray won't end properly when I shut down the laptop, so I have to do it manually.

The rest of the laptop seems to work fine.

Any ideas greatly appreciated!!!

A:acer aspire 1640z keys only work intermitent and wont close down

Clear ALL your cache and temp files, defrag, make sure the air vent is clear.

These are 'simple' places to start.

If that doesn't 'fix' things, be OFF line, click Start, Run and type msconfig and press enter.

Under Startup, uncheck everything.

Under Services, put a check in 'Hide all Microsoft services' and then uncheck what's left.

Reboot. (Restore AV if disabled via msconfig) Any change?

When I start up my Acer Aspire 5250, I am at the starting windows stage for several minutes than when it loads it enters my profile which has taken up to 7 minutes, but when I enter the desktop is completely blank, except for my cursor. all I can see is my cursor. I can enter the BIOS menu fine so I am stumped. If anyone has this issue or knows how they solved it please let me know.

A:Acer Aspire 5250 running home premium desktop will not display.

You can work through the steps in Troubleshooting Windows 7 Failure to Start to check for infection, try repairing the boot and System files, to see if you can get into Safe Mode or normal boot, then continue until its fixed with the Troubleshooting Steps for Windows 7.

But if you have the Acer factory install then that is the worst install of Win7 one can have to begin with. So what I would do is Clean Reinstall Windows 7 following everything that works best in Win7 in tens of thousands of installs we've directly helped with here, and which has been used by over a million consumers without a single complaint.

Everything needed is in the blue link, and you'll get and keep a perfect install to the exact extent you stick with the tools and methods given.

i don't think that you are able to select windows 7 or 8.1 from BIOS, maybe it's a bootloader that gives you that option. press Del to enter BIOS and check if D2D support is enabled, if not, enabled it and then press F10, save and exit.at next reboot, press Alt+F10 to enter Acer erecovery, if this doesn't work, you need to buy Acer recovery disks. Acer recovery mediaif you are in the US you can buy it:http://us-store.acer.com/erecovery/rcd/if you are outside the US, you must call/email your regional Acer support service:http://www.acer.com/worldwide/support/

A:Acer Aspire E5 won't boot

I set my laptop to sleep in Ubuntu and I can't do anything with it. I will have to do a hard reset. My question: Will my warranty be void if I remove the plastic plate on the bottom to disconnect and reconnect the battery? Thanks for any help.

I've had the netbook for about 2 years, and it has performed very well.

One night I shut it down normally and the next morning when I turned it on windows XP Home edition started normal for about 20 secs, and a fast blue screen comes up which I can't read.

Then a b&w screen comes up saying windows could not start, and gave me several options. I've tried them all.

What happens is windows tries starting but I always come back to the black and white screen.

I can't get into safe mode.

I have the factory restore disks, but don't want to lose the data on the hdd.

Is the hdd toast?

A:Acer Aspire One won't boot

On the Safe Mode menu there is an option to disable the automatic reboot. That will allow you to check the blue screen for error codes.

When you say you can't get into safe mode does that mean you get the blue screen when booting to safe mode also?

Chances are the data is fine but there's no way to know without additional testing.

I fell asleep with my laptop on my bed and in the morning I found it on the floor open. It didn't seem to receive any external damage at all, though every program froze up. Thinking that it would help, I turned it off and turned it back on. Now it won't boot past the acer logo. It gets to the green acer logo and just stays like that. Can someone please help? This is the only laptop I have and will have fir a while.

My son's Acer Aspire AM5100 won't start. Fans didn't even start. Opened, found tons of crud on CPU heat sink, removed fan, cleaned off heat sink, replace fan. Still no start. Removed CMOS for one hour, held power button on for one minute. Fans finally started but no boot. No beep. Reseated all plugs, removed and reinstalled RAM. No burn marks on Mobo. What next?

I have a Acer Aspire ZC-606 and it's not boot. When I try, it show Acer logo and don't go far. It show "insert bootable..." . I check in BIOS the order and it is HDD first nad CD second. I haven't chance to make a choice like "rescue or restaure or else. In BIOS I can make the choice to boot on Windows 7 or 8.1 but it's not booting with one or the other. I think it's need an reinstall disk but I don't have this disk and I can't have access to partitions. Do I can have a reinstall disk ? Is it free or I have to buy ? Please help me.Daniel

A:I have a Acer Aspire ZC-606 and it's not boot. Whe...

i don't think that you are able to select windows 7 or 8.1 from BIOS, maybe it's a bootloader that gives you that option. press Del to enter BIOS and check if D2D support is enabled, if not, enabled it and then press F10, save and exit.at next reboot, press Alt+F10 to enter Acer erecovery, if this doesn't work, you need to buy Acer recovery disks. Acer recovery mediaif you are in the US you can buy it:http://us-store.acer.com/erecovery/rcd/if you are outside the US, you must call/email your regional Acer support service:http://www.acer.com/worldwide/support/
