Doubleclick Cookie

Q: Doubleclick Cookie

I regularly delete my temp files by 'selecting all' then 'delete' which usually gets rid of everything. However I am unable to delete one in particular which is titled '[email protected]' Spybot will pick it up as a problem and says that it will be deleted but when the temporary files folder is checked it is still there. I am not sure whether this is a problem but I would like to be rid of it. Any ideas? Thankyou!

Preferred Solution: Doubleclick Cookie

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/directdownload.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

I'm wondering if anyone else is experiencing the same issue or has a solution I've been trying to block Doubleclick Google's tracking cookie using all the recommended methods I've set my browser to block all third party cookies and then added doubleclick com and doubleclick net to my blocked sites list It didn't slow the cookie down one bit I've even set it to block both first and third party cookies Doubleclick blocking avoids cookie and found doubleclick and only doubleclick has returned Then I downloaded Google's opt-out plugin and loaded it It still only takes about five minutes of browsing for AdAware to find the cookie on my computer again and in my registry it's difficult to tell So Google's own opt-out option is basically bogus I have IE so I can browse InPrivate-- and that does seem to work-- but it's so restrictive I Doubleclick cookie avoids blocking can't get at some email accounts Has anybody had the same experience Or discovered another solution I know it's not a quot dangerous quot cookie per se but I've found google ads following me which is incredibly irritating I'll visit a website Doubleclick cookie avoids blocking and then had ads for the site pop up everywhere I've even had ads ask me to come back to their website cuz the quot miss me quot And I only visited them once It's freaky

Hello everyone I apologize for not being an active user but I always read the forums whenever a problem arises However I'm very confused at this point and was hoping to receive some help This is a lenghty description so I apologize in advance I'll have a too long didn't read at the bottom lol On my Windows laptop I use IE Now whenever I visit www gamefaqs com which I've been going to for years a or spyware/adware cm.g.doubleclick.net both? a matcher Google cookie or Is legit site about gaming there will be times as I browse through that I all of a sudden have a new window opening attempting to navigate somewhere However my anti-virus Norton Internet Security apparently blocks it as the windows always show Navigation Canceled But I wondered why do these windows come up sometimes and it's only on gamefaqs The URL of the blocked windows begin with cm g doubleclick net and gives off more random characters Curious I looked it up So the cm g doubleclick net has a positve review from Norton Safe Web and Webutaion which shows rating Is cm.g.doubleclick.net spyware/adware or a Google cookie matcher or both? from Norton MyWOT etc however reviews from users on Norton Safe Web says it's a spam site which makes sense However I came across two things researching this The first is that cm g doubleclick net is a Google thing that they do something with IE to where they get ads in and it's a cookie matcher hence the cm to match your browsing and what not Ok seems like nothing I can do since it's an IE issue On another laptop Is cm.g.doubleclick.net spyware/adware or a Google cookie matcher or both? which uses XP and IE there is no problems However I used a Desktop with Vista and IE on it went on GFAQs to see if I get any pop ups and nothing The second thing I read about cm g Is cm.g.doubleclick.net spyware/adware or a Google cookie matcher or both? doubleclick net is that it's spyware which also makes sense But my Norton never stopped it I read that Spybot can remove this and after looking up Spybot stupid ol' me downloads it and uses it Well it was a legit download and it didn't find anything but I feel dumb for using it now more research I did says Spybot isn't good at all Norton Internet scan finds nothing did a Norton Power Eraser and it found nothing and I used a tool from symantec http www symantec com security response writeup jsp docid - - - to also scan the rootkit and it found nothing so what is cm g doubleclik net Also would a System Restore remove Spybot I did it but I noticed that there's still a folder under Program Files called Spybot Search and Destroy and it has files within it If I deleted this folder would Spybot be completely removed I don't see it under Uninstall Program I don't have an exe file and I checked the registry for spybot keywords and it found nothing Seems like it's just this folder but I'm not sure If that folder remained after a System Restore I wouldn't be surprised to have others This folder contains the files Spybot uses to check for malware so I'm kind of upset I have these files on my computer now I'd appreciate any help TL DR -What is cm g doubleclick net cookie matcher Google uses in IE or spyware malware -how do I get rid of it Norton Internet Security Norton Power Eraser Symantec Rootkit scan Spybot finds nothing -it only happens on gamefaqs com a legit site I've used for years -and how do I make sure Spybot is completely removed did a System Restore instead of Unintsall Program and now under Uninstall there is no Spybot registery had no Spybot keywords but there is a folder under Program Files names Spybot with the files it uses in it -I'd appreciate any help

A:Is cm.g.doubleclick.net spyware/adware or a Google cookie matcher or both?

Hey leon, and welcome.

There's a 99% chance you have something, because getting a popup to a suspicious link is a staple of many forms of malware.  Chances are, it's a newer form of malware that Norton doesn't have a signature of in its database; hence, why it can't pick it up.

A few questions:
Have you tried to clear all cookies and empty the cache?
Do you visit any other sites on a regular basis?
What sorts of things are in the popup?
Do you have a pop-up blocker or an ad blocker?
Here's something for you to do to help some who isn't me knows what they're doing:

Download Security Check from here or here and make sure you either save it to the Desktop or a folder you can easily remember.
Double click SecurityCheck.exe, and follow the directions in the black box.
At the end of the scan, a Notepad document named checkup.txt should appear.  Copy and paste all of the contents here as-is (or save the file into a non-temporary folder, such as your Documents folder)
NOTE: If your security application requests permission for DIG.EXE to access the internet, give it permission to do so.
Do not take any other action based on the log, since it does give false positives.  Wait for further assistance.
You should be able to remove Spybot just fine by deleting the folder.  However, if it keeps popping up, ne t'inquiete pas.  Chances are in later steps it will be a thing of the past by proxy of removing this malware.

hi, just info gathering here; anyone know about http cookie monter intrusion attacks. I have mozilla firefox-latest version 1-0-4, for awhile,.. but just recently my Norton's is detecting/halting quite a few 'http cookie monster' attack intrusion attempts while I browse with Firefox. It's determined to be a 'moderate' threat.... any input out there on this? [ps.I did some googling on this and went to Firefox site- just seeking members input here]

Hello amy1959 and welcome to the BC HijackThis forum. I don't see anything in the HijackThis log. Let's try a different scanner and see what it shows us.Download WinPFind.zip and unzip the contents to the C:\ folder.Start in Safe Mode Using the F8 method:Restart the computer. As soon as the BIOS is loaded begin tapping the F8 key until the boot menu appears.Use the arrow keys to select the Safe Mode menu item.Press the Enter key.Locate the c:\winpfind\winpfind.exe file and double-click it to run it. Now click the Start Scan button to begin the scan. When the scan is complete reboot normally and post the WinPFind.txt file (located in the WinPFind folder) back here along with a new HijackThis log and I will review the information when it comes in.OT

Everytime we log onto the internet on my wifes computer we are getting an AVG error that contains the words doubleclick. I went to a website to opt out of doubleclick but it did not seem to work.

Hi macmrk and welcome to BleepingComputer Let's take a look with MBAMThe process of cleaning your computer may require temporarily disabliling some security programs. If you are using SpyBot Search and Destroy, please refer to Note 2 at the bottom of this page. Please download Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and save it to your desktop.alternate download link 1alternate download link 2Make sure you are connected to the Internet.Double-click on mbam-setup.exe to install the application. When the installation begins, follow the prompts and do not make any changes to default settings. When installation has finished, make sure you leave both of these checked:Update Malwarebytes' Anti-MalwareLaunch Malwarebytes' Anti-MalwareThen click Finish.MBAM will automatically start and you will be asked to update the program before performing a scan.If an update is found, the program will automatically update itself.Press the OK button to close that box and continue. If you encounter any problems while downloading the updates, manually download them from here and just double-click on mbam-rules.exe to install. On the Scanner tab:Make sure the "Perform Quick Scan" option is selected. Then click on the Scan button. If asked to select the drives to scan, leave all the drives selected and click on the Start Scan button. The scan will begin and "Scan in progress" will show at the top. It may take some time to complete so please be patient. When the scan is finished, a message box will say "The scan completed successfully. Click 'Show Results' to display all objects found".Click OK to close the message box and continue with the removal process.Back at the main Scanner screen:Click on the Show Results button to see a list of any malware that was found.Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected. When removal is completed, a log report will open in Notepad. The log is automatically saved and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.Copy and paste the contents of that report in your next reply and exit MBAM.Note:-- If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you may be asked to reboot your computer so it can proceed with the disinfection process. Regardless if prompted to restart the computer or not, please do so immediately. Failure to reboot normally (not into safe mode) will prevent MBAM from removing all the malware. Note 2:-- MBAM may make changes to your registry as part of its disinfection routine. If you're using other security programs that detect registry changes (like Spybot's Teatimer), they may interfere with the fix or alert you after scanning with MBAM. Please disable such programs until disinfection is complete or permit them to allow the changes. To disable these programs, please view this topic: How To Temporarily Disable Your Anti-virus, Firewall And Anti-malware Programs

A:doubleclick and few other

Welcome to TSF Maikelekiam.

You seem to have done most of the cleaning as no infections are showing in HJT. We will take the precautions of looking further.

I am unfamiliar with the program P2PHazard2, could you please describe to me what this application is?

---------

Please subscribe to this thread to be notified of fixes as soon as they are posted by our Team. To do this, please click the "Thread Tools" button located in the original thread line and selecting "Subscribe to this Thread".

Before you begin, take a read through these instructions and download the programs that I've advised. Save the below instructions in Notepad or Word if you wish to reserve format. Alternatively, Print out the instructions because we require you work in safe mode without networking support, so this page wouldn't be available then.

If there's anything that you don't understand, ask your question(s) before proceeding with the fixes. You should not have any open browsers when you are carrying out the procedures below.

Please allow yourself a few spare hours. Below are instructions for a virus scan(s) that can take longer then 2 hours.

It is also important you don't miss a step and perform everything in the right order!! .

--==FOR YOUR INFORMATION==--
Your Java is out of date. Older versions have vulnerabilities that malware can use to infect your system. Please follow these steps to remove older version Java components and update.

Updating Java:Download the latest version of Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 5.0 Update 8 - http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp
Scroll down to where it says "The J2SE Runtime Environment (JRE) allows end-users to run Java applications".

Click the "Download" button to the right.
Check the box that says: "Accept License Agreement".
The page will refresh.
Click on the link to download Windows Offline Installation with or without Multi-language and save to your desktop.
Close any programs you may have running - especially your web browser.
Go to Start > Control Panel double-click on Add/Remove programs and remove all older versions of Java.
Check any item with Java Runtime Environment (JRE or J2SE) in the name.
Click the Remove or Change/Remove button.
Repeat as many times as necessary to remove each Java versions.
Reboot your computer once all Java components are removed.
Then from your desktop double-click on jre-1_5_0_08-windowsi586-p.exe to install the newest version.

--==DOWNLOADS==--
Please download these additional files/programs. Do not run them unless instructed to do so.
Unless otherwise stated, they should be stored in the same directory as the HiJackThis program.

Download and install CleanUp!. Do NOT run it yet.

Download Ewido Security Suite - Install it.Double-click the icon on the Desktop to launch Ewido
You will need to update Ewido to the latest definition files. On the top of the main screen click Shield
Click the word active to change it to inactive
On the top of the main screen click Update.
Then click on Start Update. The update will start and a progress bar will show the updates being installed.
I also recommend changing the "Update interval" to something more reasonable like 12 hours.
If you are having problems with the updater, you can use this link to manually update Ewido
When you have finished updating, EXIT Ewido.

Turn off your Internet. Please close your Internet Browser(s) and refer to the instructions offline, as suggested in my introduction.

--==PURGE TEMPS==--
Open Cleanup! by double-clicking the icon on your desktop (or from the Start > All Programs menu). Set the program up as follows:Click "Options..."
Move the arrow down to "Custom CleanUp!"

Found this file on my computer and have no idea what it is for. I tried a search on the internet and found doubleclick.zip listed a lot of times but no info about what it is for. Am wondering if it is related to a popup I get guite often about access denined to doubleclick.com.

Any one with any help. I hope do.

A:What is doubleclick.zip?

I believe that "double-click" is one of those programs that sends you ads and/or hijacks your internet home page. If it's a zip file - don't open it and just delete it.

Messages to click a link to see photos of me, etc.

It is a virus called double click, it is a tracking one.

How do I remove it?

I have AVG and it is up to date but it can't remove this virus.
When I try to send an email from my hotmail account, it warns me that I have a tracking virus.

Please help!

Kathie

Hello,

Apparently, I keep getting "Doubleclick" on my PC.
Causing all sorts of mischief and problems.

Per suggestions here, I found it with MalWare Bytes.
Keeps coming back.

Avast, my virus program does not find it.
Nor does CC Cleaner.

Any program that you might know of where I can add it to an exclusion list, or prohibit it in some way from infecting PC ?

(if there is a good program for, what exactly would I have to add as to it's name for the exclusion list; e.g., just "Doubleclick, "Doubleclick.txt, or...?)

Thanks,
Bob

A:Doubleclick Problem

Hi,
Yep doubleclick.net is a bugger,
I've added it to my restricted sites list in Internet explorer so it doesn't come back
Although my a-v or mbam has never found it it's not surprising because I use superantispyware much more often to get rid of these bad cookies,
http://www.superantispyware.com/?tag=SUPERANTISPYWARE

I'll just add these little buggers really mess up my mouse operation so they have to be removed and added to restricted sites list
tripleclick/ fastclick/...

Hello pjs826 I would like to welcome you to the Malware Removal section of the forum.Around here they call me Gringo and I will be glad to help you with your malware problems.Very Important --> Please read this post completely, I have spent my time to put together somethings for you to keep in mind while I am helping you to make things go easier, faster and smoother for both of us!Please do not run any tools unless instructed to do so.We ask you to run different tools in a specific order to ensure the malware is completely removed from your machine, and running any additional tools may detect false positives, interfere with our tools, or cause unforeseen damage or system instability. Please do not attach logs or use code boxes, just copy and paste the text.Due to the high volume of logs we receive it helps to receive everything in the same format, and code boxes make the logs very difficult to read. Also, attachments require us to download and open the reports when it is easier to just read the reports in your post. Please read every post completely before doing anything.Pay special attention to the NOTE: lines, these entries identify an individual issue or important step in the cleanup process. Please provide feedback about your experience as we go.A short statement describing how the computer is working helps us understand where to go next, for example: I am still getting redirected, the computer is running normally, etc. Please do not describe the computer as "the same", this requires the extra step of looking back at your previous post.NOTE: At the top of your post, click on the "Follow This Topic" Button, make sure that the "Receive notification" box is checked and that it is set to "Instantly" - This will send you an e-mail as soon as I reply to your topic, allowing us to resolve the issue faster.NOTE: Backup any files that cannot be replaced. Removing malware can be unpredictable and this step can save a lot of heartaches if things don't go as planed. You can put them on a CD/DVD, external drive or a pen drive, anywhere except on the computer.NOTE: It is good practice to copy and paste the instructions into notepad and print them in case it is necessary for you to go offline during the cleanup process. To open notepad, navigate to Start Menu > All Programs > Accessories > Notepad. Please remember to copy the entire post so you do not miss any instructions. These are the programs I would like you to run next, if you have any problems with one of these just skip it and move on to the next one.-AdwCleaner-Please download AdwCleaner by Xplode onto your desktop.Close all open programs and internet browsers.Double click on AdwCleaner.exe to run the tool.Click on Scan. After the scan is complete click on "Clean"Confirm each time with Ok.Your computer will be rebooted automatically. A text file will open after the restart. Please post the content of that logfile with your next answer. You can find the logfile at C:\AdwCleaner[S1].txt as well.-Junkware-Removal-Tool-Please download Junkware Removal Tool to your desktop.Shut down your protection software now to avoid potential conflicts.Run the tool by double-clicking it. If you are using Windows Vista, 7, or 8; instead of double-clicking, right-mouse click JRT.exe and select "Run as Administrator".The tool will open and start scanning your system. Please be patient as this can take a while to complete depending on your system's specifications. On completion, a log (JRT.txt) is saved to your desktop and will automatically open.Post the contents of JRT.txt into your next message. When they are complete let me have the two reports and let me know how things are running.Gringo

Whenever I go to the investment website www.vanguard.com, when the browser finishes loading the page, it checks something on fls.doubleclick.net before it tries loading several pages of pixel.vmm-sattelite1.com before my software K9 blocks them. I have tried 4 or 5 spyware removal tools and all have found something to remove but none have resolved the issue. I'd appreciate any help someone can give me.Thanks,ChrisI have attached two of the files recommeneded, but the ark.txt file from GMER.exe is too large. (1.6mb)

A:I have Doubleclick Spyware

Hi,Don't worry about this as this has nothing to do with the fact that you are infected. Doubleclick is used on many sites and whenever you visit these sites where this javascript is implemented (because in this case, I see it's via a javascript/iframe), you will see this.I get the same when I go to vanguard.com. You cannot remove it because it's not on your computer but on the site itself. If you want to block this in your browser - Use the Firefox Noscript addon: https://addons.mozilla.org/nl/firefox/addon/722/This will block this javascript by default, unless you allow it ofcourse.Or just don't visit the site anymore if you are worried. But basically, Doubleclick is ok though. MANY sites use it. Also read more here about the doubleclick cookies: http://www.doubleclick.com/privacy/faq.aspxDon't worry to enter the site, it's ok

If you are sick of all the ads and spy-cookies from the company Doubleclick, you're in luck. I block these IP ranges with Zone Alarm. Use your firewall or whatever you use and your surfing will be ad free!!

I do not mind banner ads and such (I have them on my websites), I just think DoubleClick is just a little to much.

Here is my current list of doubleclick IP ranges to block in Zone Alarm Firewall program

(NOTE: DoubleClick is buying more IP ranges, so this list is not complete. Please contribute if you have more).

My ISP is Peoplepc and I have dial-up, can't afford to go hi-speed yet.

Anytime I start up Peoplepc when it gets to the homepage, i get this same error msg. everytime. Does not matter if I say Yes or No, it will go away but then is right back the next time i start up.

An error has occured in the script on this page
Line 7

Code U
url http://ad.doubleclick and then a bunch of other characters
Do you want to continue running scripts on this page?
Yes or No

It seems like I get this everytime I happen to open a news story or something from the homepage. Please can someone figure this out, its still possible to use my pc but just hate getting that error msg. everytime.

I am useing Win7 on a laptop and am having problems with ad-emea.doubleclick.net While useing Ebay, every time I try to use the 'back' button all I get is along list of doubleclick instead of the targets that I want to go back to. I have in the past got rid of it by deleting cookies etc but it still comes back after a little while.

Read somewhere on one of the forums that you can alter the 'host' setting (I think) in the registry to 'fool' the cookie or something like that. Did not really understand what was meant and obviously a bit cautious when it comes to reg changes.

Strangely enough I never get this doubleclick pest when useing Ebay on my PC running XP.

Any help of advice would be much appreciated.

Hey. sorry didnt know where to post this

I have a forum - http://z6.invisionfree.com/kop_land/index.php?act=idx

And a few weeks ago, i started to get googleads.g.doubleclick.net down the bottum of my browser when i load a page ONLY on this ONE site. And it takes about 30-45 seconds to load a page. And its really frustrating.

Does anyone who how to get rid of it? or fix it?

Iv done some looking around and apparently its something to do with adwords or something. But i havnt purchased anything for ads or ad removal ever.

My cousin thinks it could be a virus or something.

Cheers

A:googleads.g.doubleclick.net

Both good and bad news here, the good:not a virus, the bad:you cannot get rid of it, the reason:you are probably more than likely seeing this because of some sort of sponsorship and what you see loading is probably needed to load whatever adds are displayed on the page.

On that same note now that I think about it you could use Firefox along with some add blocking addons like adblock and no script.

Hope this helps.

Hey...

so, my pc is totally clean of crap, after following earlier orders from you guys about a week ago. Now, when logging in to Yahoo mail in particular, and a couple of other sites, I get this box popping up saying that my 'Spybot has detected DoubleClick, and should I download it'. It then asks if I want to block, and I always say yes, but it keeps coming back..

Do you have any idea what it is??

Thanks very much.

A:DoubleClick Detected... what is it???

Hello Everyone, I'm new and not that knowledgeable so hope I get it right. My computer is an HP windows 8 and using IE8 and google chrome browsers. Recently I've noticed it slowing down and a few days ago on clicking a link either from emails or search engine, I am not being allowed to view the site, instead getting a blank page with this address ad.doubleclick.net. Have tried various things suggested including malwarebytes, superantispyware, was going to get spyhunter but wasn't sure. Have also tried blocking but to no avail. Have tried a couple of other things suggested including regedit which does show it up but when I go to delete it says I don't have permission to do this despite being the only one who uses this pc and have administrator privileges. Both browsers are affected but more so Chrome.

Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks.

I tried doing a search, but couldn't find anything. When running Firefox, some sites I visit will all of a sudden turn into this (this is olntv.com):Once it does this, it's all downhill and I can't access the site for the rest of the day, sometimes days. Then, it will be back to normal. Also, when this happens with firefox, I can still access the site with internet explorer. I've rand spybot S&D and Ad-Aware and still have it happen. I uninstalled Firefox and reinstalled it and it's still there.Any idea how to fix this?? I'm currently running Windows 2000Jenn

Good afternoon

I have a terminal server that seems to be infected with the malware - doubleclick.net. It was discovered because everynight around 2:00 am, there access to the https become unavailable and each morning their router has to be restarted to give them access again. I looked in their event manager on their server and for about an hour, their virus scan - McAfee is cleaning off this virus out of files. There are maybe 100 entries of this file being removed. I am trying to remove this malware and I can't seem to find the solution. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I found after many posts that there seems to be a problem with running videos on Fox news site. The problem seems to be related to IE7 because I didnt have this problem with IE6 and Spywareblaster, to fix problem you have to unrestrict doubleclick.net in SWB. Now what problems can I expect having done that?

The virus causes my cursor to click uncontrollably and can only be prevented by running spybot S&D 24/7. It will always detect the same tracking cookie that is titled "DoubleClick". I know this virus is more than a tracking cookie because every time I "remove" it, it is always detected again and my computer will go back into the uncontrollable clicking of the cursor if I just let it be. There is no rhyme or reason, nothing to trigger the clicking; it appears to come and go completely randomly and the only way to stop it is to run spybot the entire time I'm using the computer, removing the DoubleClick virus every time it is detected. Please help and thanks in advance!

Hey guys. I have some sort of virus that is redirecting me when I try to click on Google search links. The address I'm being redirected to is jsdoubleclick.net, then to any number of random ad sites. I've run Avira twice and CCleaner twice. I'll attach the logs from the two Avira runs and the HJT log. Please help if you can.

P.S. - This virus also seems to be blocking access to many malware removal programs and associated webpages. I've been able to download Malwarebytes by using a mirror, and after several attempts I was able to install it, but the program crashes before startup.

Hello! My name is Sam and I will be helping you. In order to see what's going on with your computer I will ask for you to post various logs from the tools that we will use to resolve your issue. Please also share with me any information about how your computer is reacting and behaving each step of the way as we work through this process. Please download Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and save it to your desktop.alternate download link 1alternate download link 2Make sure you are connected to the Internet.Double-click on Download_mbam-setup.exe to install the application. When the installation begins, follow the prompts and do not make any changes to default settings. When installation has finished, make sure you leave both of these checked:Update Malwarebytes' Anti-MalwareLaunch Malwarebytes' Anti-MalwareThen click Finish.MBAM will automatically start and you will be asked to update the program before performing a scan. If an update is found, the program will automatically update itself. Press the OK button to close that box and continue. Click 'Show Results' to display all objects found".Click OK to close the message box and continue with the removal process.Back at the main Scanner screen, click on the Show Results button to see a list of any malware that was found.Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected. When removal is completed, a log report will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to restart your computer. (see Note below)The log is automatically saved and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.Copy and paste the contents of that report in your next reply and exit MBAM.Note: If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts. Click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process. If asked to restart the computer, please do so immediately. Failure to reboot will prevent MBAM from removing all the malware. Also include a new log from DDS.

I have installed spybot and adware and ran the scan. When i go out the the internet i can block the download of Avenue A, Inc. and double click but cannot get rid of them. I did a registry search using the URL for the Avenue A but nothing comes up. Not sure what this Avenue A is or double click is but it looks as though it's a redirect of somekind. Is there anyway to completely remove it or do i just need to continue to block it. Your suggestions and greatly appreciated.

HiI often use firefox browser, and the screen shots below are examples of messages on the screen, always on the right side under "Advertisment". Are these viruses or not? AVG hasn't picked them up, but it did find 2 trojans: prodsrvs.exe (filed in ...\system32)instant access.exe (filed ..\program files)Are the trojans related to the below??I can't seem to find much on how to determine if they are viruses (your site didn't finf them). Thanks

A:Ad.doubleclick.net And View.aydmt.com

atdmt.exe is an ad server that will attempt to install ads in most microsoft web sites and others. You have blocked access to it. There are several possible ways that it is blocked. If you have blocked Third Party cookies, use Adblock extension or Spyblaster. No Script extension could play a part in blocking, too.
Same goes for doubleclick.

Hello AustinHoney and welcome to the BC HijackThis forum. I do not see any signs of viruses or malware in this log. It is clean.

The older versions of Spybot always found a DSO exploit. I have not seen it in the latest version. Check to make sure that you are using version 1.4.

For the other problems being found, can you post the log from the program that is finding the problems back here so I can see what is being found and where it is located? Then we can go from there.

Cheers.

Hello and welcome to the forum. I do not see any malware in this log? The DSO exploits have not been around since Spybot v1.3, are you running an old version? The others are cookies and you are going to get them if you surf the web at all, those are everywhere. You can control them if you wish, you look to be running IE: http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/cookies.htmhttp://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/using/...acy/config.mspxMake sure you have followed all of these directions: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/34773/preparation-guide-for-use-before-using-malware-removal-tools-and-requesting-help/If you still need help at that point, post a new HJT log in this same thread and I will respond as soon as possible after you post.Thanks...pskelleyBleepingComputer

A:Doubleclick And Fastclick Problems

Hi,I guess you are confusing things here..Doubleclick and Fastclick are cookies being flagged by your scanners. You get these cookies at a lot of sites. Don't really worry about them, everyone has them. This all depends what sites you visit. This has NOTHING to do with the fact that, when you click with your mouse that it clicks twice instead. This is mainly a "mouse" issue - too sensitive.Try another mouse and see if that solves the problem.By the way, I notice that you do not seem to be running Antivirus software and a Firewall. This is somewhat suicidal in today's digital world. That's why I want you to install them first!!Avira, AVG OR Active Virus Shield (uncheck the Security Toolbar during install) are good FREE antivirus.Never install more than one antivirusscanner or firewall on your system! Several together can give problems and decrease the reliability of it seriously!Comodo OR Kerio are FREE firewalls. Understanding and using firewalls

Hi,

I am writing to get some help - whenever I search google (or even MSN or Yahoo search engines) the link that I click on is not the link that I arrive at...I can see the computer redirecting me to some site about js.doubleclick.net in the bottom left corner of the window.

I have searched for help with this but it looks like the best thing for me to do is to start a new thread? My apologies if this is incorrect to do.

Anyway, any help is greatly appreciated. I use google all the time so this is quite a nusance, lol!

A:Help with google redirecting to js.doubleclick.net

Do I need to post a log? Where would I get this from?

Hi and welcome to Bleeping Computer! My name is Sam and I will be helping you. You are running an older version of Java. This can be a security risk so let's get you the latest version.Upgrading Java:Download the latest version of Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6 Update 6.Scroll down to where it says "The J2SE Runtime Environment (JRE) allows end-users to run Java applications".Click the "Download" button to the right.Select your Platform and check the box that says: "I agree to the Java SE Runtime Environment 6 License Agreement.".Click on Continue.Click on the link to download Windows Offline Installation (jre-6u6-windows-i586-p.exe) and save it to your desktop. Do NOT use the Sun Download Manager..Close any programs you may have running - especially your web browser.Go to Start > Control Panel, double-click on Add/Remove programs and remove all older versions of Java.Check any item with Java Runtime Environment (JRE or J2SE) in the name.Click the Remove or Change/Remove button.Repeat as many times as necessary to remove each Java version.Reboot your computer once all Java components are removed. Then from your desktop double-click on the download to install the newest version. Please post a new log from DSS.

Hello Iml and welcome to Bleeping Computer,1. Please download GooredFix and save it to your Desktop.Select "2. Fix Goored" by typing 2 and pressing Enter. Make sure all instances of Firefox are closed at this point. Type y at the prompt and press Enter again. A log will open, please post the contents of that log in your next reply (it can also be found on your desktop, called GooredLog.txt).Note: If you receive a message saying that GooredFix needs your system to be restarted, please close all applications and reboot your system. Please also allow any registry changes that may be prompted by any of your security programs.2. Please read this tutorial carefully to download ComboFix from one of the locations specified, and save it to your Desktop.Double click the ComboFix icon to run it.If ComboFix askes you to install the Recovery Console, please do so..The Windows Recovery Console will allow you to boot up into a special recovery mode, in case your computer has a problem after an attempted removal of malware. This allows us to help you.Once the Recovery Console is installed, continue with the malware scan.Note: Make sure not to click ComboFix's window while it's running. That may cause it to stall or freeze. Please post the log from ComboFix (can also be found as C:\ComboFix.txt) in your next reply. If you have any questions along the way, STOP and ask them before proceeding !!Greetings,Thunder

1. my google search results keep getting redirected to sites beginning with googleads.g.doubleclick.net

2. I saw a solution that suggested combofix, but it seems dangerous and doesn't work for 64-bit systems

3. my system is a Win 7, 64-bit, 4gb RAM, 1.2GHz AMD x2 dual core processor

So how do I fix this?

THANK YOU!

I need help. My web browser randomly gets redirected to this "ad doubleclick" search page. I would like to know what I have to do to get rid of this.

I downloaded "Trend Micro HijackThis" but it isn't clear to me what I have to do to get a summary so that I can paste it here for you to review.

Thanks in advance for your help!

A:TouchPad Doubleclick not working

Hi, welcome to the forums, we have had a lot of the HP's fail here, you will need a new touchpad, hopefully it is under warranty.

Hi all,
At some websites I have to click twice to go one page back. Clicking on the down arrow in the recent pages shows me there is a presence of "googleads".
I've read that module.exe should be deleted in the system 32 folder. Can't do it, this folder seems not to be present.
Other advise: block the URL in "internet options/privacy/sites". No succes
What else to do?
I still run IE8.

Seems to be a known situation, worth a read:  http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/ie/forum/ie8-windows_7/in-internet-explorer-8-i-must-click-back-arrow/cb4f04ca-cf9c-4232-bbb8-cb2e2f28a395?msgId=c5185d25-4d27-4248-a95b-054ebc509c2e .

A:Solved: Doubleclick redirect problem

Ok, found the problem. Kaspersky File Wall Anti Banner settings include doubleclick by default. Removing this from the banned list, solved the problem.

Greetings,

I have a PC running windows 7 and Microsoft Office 2010 (including Access).

I have an Access 2000 MDB running on this machine and have run into a problem. I have a form with a list box. When the user double clicks on a listed item, Access freezes. A single click works fine, a double click freezes. No event procedure has been defined for the double click. I tried pointing to the single click procedure and Access still freezes. I have found that all my list boxes freeze if double clicked.

Any ideas?

Thank you

A:Access 2010 Freezing on DoubleClick

Welcome to TSG jghogue. Hope you get an answer and take the time to help others with their issues when you get a chance. Access questions are better suited for the 'Business Applications' threads on this site.

But I'll take a stab at this one.
Any chance your using an new HP machine with biometric authentication? This KB
