I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/directdownload.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

OMG. I am losing my mind. I've contacted AOL twice and they cannot get it through their minds that connecting to AOL kicks me totally offline on the laptop. They have it stuck in their mind that I am trying to sign into aol on both computers and that is the problem.

Hello everyone.
I have virus protection on my computer. But yesterday I was on the internet and all of the sudden I got kicked out. I went back on it and it did the same.
I was in the process of taking a test and I had to redo the whole test.
I ran a full virus scan and it is clean. I ran a system restore to the day before i had the problem and it told me unable to restore back to that day.
Please help. Should I take it in to Office depot for a look.
thanks,
ruthie

I have Comcast Cable Internet & Lynksys wireless. At least 4-8 times a night, I am booted off the internet. The cable modem is fine, and all lights are a go, but I live in a condo, do you think someone is trying to hack into my encrypted connection? I don't have a landline phone, and my range is great. Could someone else's phone be screwing up my connection or someone else trying to use my internet? If it's locked up, would I get kicked off if someone is trying to get to my internet?

Thanks

A:I keep getting kicked off the internet!

could be a lot of things

cordless phone
other networks on same channel
firmware upgrade needed
dns issue

when its working try the following test and then repeat when you lose the connection - it will tell us if you can see the router and see the internet via ip numbers and hence if you have a dns issue

do other people have the same issue - or is it just you ???

ipconfig /all

TWO Methods to do that - some people have problems with ONE----

ONE ---------------------------------
start
run
cmd
ipconfig /all

rightclick in the box
select all
enter
control key + C key - to copy
then reply here and
control key + V to paste

TWO -----------------------------------------------

Start, Run, CMD to open a DOS window and type:

IPCONFIG /ALL >C:\RESULT.TXT

Open C:\RESULT.TXT with Notepad and copy/paste the entire results here.
NEXT lets see if you can get out onto the internet with both names and IP's - its possible the IP number you get back on the first test is different to the one I post {I'm in UK} so use the number you get instead of mine

------------------------------------------------
try ping the name and then the IP see below

start
run
cmd

A:getting kicked off the internet

Hi, I'll be hgonest and say I'm no expert, maybe I shouldn't even reply. I'll throw in what I do know (slash) just give my opinion.

What do you mean by "kicked off the internet"? Is there a third party coming in and saying "oh no you don't" and blocking you, or do you mean that thew connection goes dead?
Also wondering where you arrived at those numbers (57 and 28). For me, to go to Control Panel - Network Connections - Local Area Connection, I see the speed is set to 10 Mbps. Now, this is cable opposed to dial; up, but I get one number, not what I want and what I get.
Another thing to keep in mind is that the speed advertised is not attainable, sort of 'in a eutopian society, this is the speed'. It just won't happen. If you hit 80% of what you are told, be happy.

The system you are using, is it fairly recent, with the NIC card in particular? I've seen people install XP on a system where it could barely hold the OS. Anything beyond looking at the wallpaper and the thing buckled.

You can get a fair bit of information by opening a command prompt (Start - Run - type in 'cmd' or 'command' - hit 'OK') and entering 'netstat -an'. That's without the quotes and a space between the t and -.

There's countless possible things that are going on, so I'll end it there ..... hope it works out.i

I am routinely kicked off the internet. I have a cable modem connected to a wireless router. The router works fine as I am able to connect to a neighbors wireless router but at a slow speed. My ISP says that they can connect to my modem so the signal must not be transmitting to the router. If I reset the modem and router by either unplugging or pushing the button the service is restored. The ISP's advice is to buy a new modem or rent one from them for $3.00 a month - sure.

Should I just buy a new modem?

A:Kicked Off Internet

My first question would be to my ISP about minimum signal levels. Have them tell you exactly what the minimum acceptable signal levels are. Then go to your cable modems browser interface and verify. The average cable modem should report things like:Receive/Downstream: -15dbmV to +15dbmVTransmit/Upstream: 30dbmV to 55dbmVSignal to Noise Ratio (SNR): 30dB or GreaterIf you have verified that the signal levels at the modem are good and within specifications then you may need to replace your modem. If they are not within specifications, then it is up to your ISP to bring them within range.Be (Cable Modem) SafeDa Bleepin AniMod, Animal

My two desktop iMacs and iPhone keep getting kicked off the wireless Internet. We have a modem from Time Warner and the Apple Time Machine as our router, with the Airport Express as a signal extender. We keep getting kicked off the Internet. Then in order to get back online, we must turn the wifi off and then on again - If we don't, our network doesn't even show up as an option. I know it is not the modem because we checked it with Time Warner. On the computers it shows a full signal, but on the phone, it shows fewer. Please help!

A:I keep getting kicked off the Internet!

it may be a DNS issue - do you have any PCs on the network - or all apple products

on the Router you may want to set open dns servers

My mom is having trouble with MSN ISP - being kicked off the internet (disconnected) when she is writing e-mails.

I read sometime ago in PC World that there is a trick to solve that problem. Apparently, if I remember correctly, that ISPs will disconnect you when they see you inactive so probably composing and typing e-mails sends a message to them that she is not using the computer.

She is using Windows 2000 and MSN as her ISP.

Any suggestions to trick them into thinking that she is busy surfing when actually she is just typing e-mails?

Windows will kick me off of the internet after 20 to 30 minutes. It will say "there is an IP conflict with another computer on the network". What is the problem. My laptop is a compaq presario cq60 and i have a netgear router. Everything was working fine until about 4 days ago now when other members of the family are watching youtube.com it kicks my laptop and my ipad off the internet connection. it will have the yellow caution sign on the acess bars but still say its connected. or it will have the yellow sun icon and be trying to find the network. if it reconnects to it the net is too slow to load webpages and say limited access. At times it will also say ip address conflict. I have tried resetting the moden and router nothing has work. The oddest thing is if no one watches youtube.com everyyhing works fine or if i am the one watching it it doesnt kick the connection off. Any help to fix this problem would be greatly apperciated thank you!

Hello About a month ago I opened a thread on the Security forum b c I thought I was having a malware problem The person helping me JSntgRvr determined that it wasn t malware and thought it was a hardware problem so he suggested I post here I have been Kicked hardware off issue? - internet getting kicked off the internet randomly when I start my computer I get online just fine and it works fine for a while Then either after I haven t used the computer for a little while or just arbitrarily I will suddenly not be able to access any pages or any sites at all In Firefox I will get the error message Unable to connect Firefox can t establish a connection to the server and in IE Kicked off internet - hardware issue? I ll get quot This page cannot be displayed - cannot find server or DNS error quot I have to reboot to get back online every time this happens My ISP is TimeWarner cable Roadrunner and I have checked with them and they said there is no problem Kicked off internet - hardware issue? at their end Even though JSntgRvr advised that this wasn t a malware problem after I ran the last series of suggestions that he suggested on the Security thread the problem seemed to stop for a while It started again last week after I loaded the upgrade to my Norton Internet Security program Another problem I had been having also seemed to stop and then happened again today After starting the computer a few minutes after my desktop loaded the whole screen would freeze and flash once or more and then the backgound color on the taskbar at the bottom of the screen changed color and the button bars on the taskbar freeze and flash and their fonts change size and style Then the whole system churns and gets slow JSntgRvr thought all of this may be due to a problem with the hardware such as the Video Device Any suggestions you have would be greatly appreciated - thanks nbsp

Hi - need some help with putting the internet back on my new computer !! Without doing anything ( no downloading or updating ) the computer has suddenly lost internet - saying that it is connected but there is a little symbol to say that it is a limited connection ( I am now usiing my old computer to write this message ! ) Looked it up online and tried the basic things suggested ( putting in commands ( when you press wndows / x and a ) and unchecking a box about power options - but no good ! ( sorry for the lack of precise details but not computer savvy ! )
Very frustrated as the whole point of a new computer is for it to work !!!!  Any suggestions ? - PLEASE !!!!!

A:limited internet access ( i.e. small sign and no internet )

Usually happens when your adapter is bad, drivers are hosed, bad cable connecting the computer to the router or switch, or router IP table hosed up.  Try a ipconfig /flushdns in a Command Window as administrator, along with resetting the Winsock.  Also try turning off modem & router and then turn back on in the following steps:  Modem (wait for it to come back online with the ISP), then Router.

It also helps to know the manufacturer & model of the computer, along with how the computer was connected to the Internet (wired or wireless), along with model & manufacturer of router.

What firewall / security suite or anti-virus do you currently have on the PC - or you have ever had on the PC in the past - any trial ware - like Norton, kaspersky or Mcafee or any free security suites like zonealarm, AVG , Webroot etc

------------------------------------------------------------------------
ipconfig /all

We would like to see the results from an ipconfig /all - post back the results in a reply here.

If you cannot access the internet with this PC, then you will need to paste the results into something like notepad and then copy onto a machine that can access the internet and post the results in a reply here.
Save the file to a USB flash drive or other removable media. Plug it into the working computer with internet access and copy the file and paste here.

If you do not have another PC - do you have a phone connected to the internet - can you photograph the result and post the image in a reply
Note: you will see entries named Tunnel adapter Teredo Tunneling Pseudo-Interface: we dont need to see that information - JUST the infomation above those entries

For Windows 8
To open a Cmd Prompt or an Administrator Cmd prompt from the Desktop.
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/open-an-elevated-command-prompt-in-windows-8/
Use Win + X and choose Command Prompt or Command Prompt (Admin) from the list.
For windows version, XP, Vista, W7
Hold the Windows key and press R

Now type CMD

Now press Enter to open a command prompt box (A new dialogue box - black with white font, will appear on screen ):
In the command prompt window that opens, type the following command:

Note that there is a space before the /ALL, but there is NOT a space after the / in the following command.

ipconfig /all > network.txt & network.txt
It will export the results into notepad and then automatically open the notepad and display on your screen.

Now all you need to do is copy and paste those results into a reply here
to do that:
From the notepad menu - choose Edit - Select all
all the text will now be highlighted
Next
From the notepad menu - choose Edit - Copy

Now go back to the forum - goto the reply and then right click in the reply box and paste the results.
The results from the notepad should now appear in the forum reply.

Recently I installed a bunch of updates, because for some reason my computer wants to update itself 10 times a day

Anyways, everything got screwed up after. My internet was out, only on my computer though within my home network, my other computers running on XP were fine.

So I disabled the internet on my vista computer, and the broadband connection pop up box came up, where you type in the name and password, that never worked, nothing else worked to get it back up. So I went to help and it showed me how to enable it, and I did that, and its been working fine ever since. Except, that broadband connection box keeps popping up randomly every hour, it stops my browser from loading until i hit cancel. Its really annoying, how do I opt out of this?

Hi...

Please download the Killbox.

Run Killbox, left click and drag you mouse over the highlighted files below (including filepath) then right click and choose Copy (including filepath) with your mouse, rightclick and choose Copy. Insert your mouse pointer within the box entitled "Full Filepath of File to Delete", rightclick again and choose File > Paste from Clipboard. All the files should now appear in the box (click on the Tab and check to make sure that only the files I have identified as malware and marked for deletion are there). If each file exists, it will appear in blue under that window when you click on it. Click on Delete on Reboot. Next click on > "Delete on Reboot" and click on "All Files". Please do this even if this option is already checked. You will get a message saying "File with be deleted on next reboot, click "Yes". Process and Reboot now?" Click "Yes" to reboot

So I've never heard of this happening before but I was trying to help my friend fix his internet problem today with no luck. Whats happening is every time his girlfriend turns on her computer (its a little acer aspire d255) it automatically connects wirelessly to their network. And as soon as it does it kicks his computer off the internet and it is a wired connection. I played around with some router and firewall settings and I got it so that his computer will reconnect after a while but it still disconnects every time the acer tries to connect. I am stumped here anyone know what the hell is going on? They said they tried it at there parents and the acer connects fine and doesn't cause any issues there.

Both computers running win 7 and he has a linksys router.

A:Getting "Kicked Off" the INternet

I've had this happen as well. Usual reasons are:
1) Time out by your ISP, so it depends on your service
2) Sometime your modem/ wireless goes out, I had a client whose condo intercom is linksed via same phone line as the ISP and the dsl light goes out.
3) I strongly suggest you contact help desk at ISP and ask them your kicked off question, since you can get on okay it is NOT your software IMHO
4) If you have a firewall you could tempoarity disable it an see what happens

I went into my User Accouts in the Control Panel. I deleted a User called Nathon. I created a new user account with Admin authority named Jack.
However, everytime that I start my computer from my morning bootup, the Signon Window has the deleted User, Nathon.
I have to type in Jack, for the new user, and I get into Jacks Account.

Why is Windows not remembering that I have deleted the USER, Nathon?

I have never had such a problem with any of my other windows computers.

Hello,And welcome to BleepingComputer.com, before we can assist you with your question of: Am I infected? You will need to perform the following tasks and post the logs of each if you can.Malwarebytes Anti-MalwareNOTEMalwarebytes is now offering a free trial of their program, if you want to accept it you will need to enter some billing information, so that at the end of the trial you would be charged the cost of the product. Please decline this offer, if you are unable to provide billing information. If you want to try it out, then provide the billing information. Please download Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and save it to your desktop.Download Link 1Download Link 2MBAM may "make changes to your registry" as part of its disinfection routine. If using other security programs that detect registry changes (ie Spybot's Teatimer), they may interfere or alert you. Temporarily disable such programs or permit them to allow the changes.Make sure you are connected to the Internet.Double-click on mbam-setup.exe to install the application.
For instructions with screenshots, please refer to the How to use Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware Guide. When the installation begins, follow the prompts and do not make any changes to default settings. When installation has finished, make sure you leave both of these checked:Update Malwarebytes' Anti-MalwareLaunch Malwarebytes' Anti-MalwareThen click Finish.MBAM will automatically start and you will be asked to update the program before performing a scan.If an update is found, the program will automatically update itself. Press the OK button to close that box and continue. If you encounter any problems while downloading the definition updates, manually download them from here and just double-click on mbam-rules.exe to install. On the Scanner tab:Make sure the "Perform Full Scan" option is selected. Then click on the Scan button. If asked to select the drives to scan, leave all the drives selected and click on the Start Scan button. The scan will begin and "Scan in progress" will show at the top. It may take some time to complete so please be patient. When the scan is finished, a message box will say "The scan completed successfully. Click 'Show Results' to display all objects found".Click OK to close the message box and continue with the removal process.Back at the main Scanner screen:Click on the Show Results button to see a list of any malware that was found.Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected. When removal is completed, a log report will open in Notepad. The log is automatically saved and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.Copy and paste the contents of that report in your next reply. Hi all,
I am new to this forum so please bear with me. I want to have I.E. as a second browser but when I try to sign in anywhere (Like Yahoo) I get a blank page. In fact nothing works on my Yahoo page. I can't get my mail, the articles don't rotate, and I can't read the articles. This is the same problem on all my websites with I.E., but everything works when I use Chrome as my browser.

Hi Guys,

For some unknown reason, I am now unable to sign into ebay.com.au, yet I can sign into ebay.com!!!!

I have tried, on both Internet Explorer 8 & 9 and both show the same error screen, I have attached an example.

I have emptied caches, temp files and enable all cookies, but I still can't sign into ebay.com.au...............any suggestions, would be appreciated.

Thank You.

A:Unable to Sign into ebay.com.au in Internet Explorer

I would try deleting the cookie for ebay.com.au.

Open IE> Tools (Gear icon upper right in IE9)> Internet Options> General tab> Browsing History> Settings

View files

Look for something like cookie: (Username)@ebay.com.au and delete it. You will be asked to sign in again when you visit ebay.com.au again. A Guy

Q1) I've added OPTION THREE in the tutorial below to be able to disable the lock screen again, but it doesn't do so at startup.

Q2) I'm not aware of way to stop this yet when you have netplwiz set to automatically sign in to an account at startup. The blue note box at the top of the tutorial below will show you the default locations for account pictures to help.

Last month, my google chrome start crashing frequently for no reason.
Some people said it might be the shockwave flash problem.
So, I followed those instructions, trying to solve it. But it didn't worked.
After that, I tried to download another internet browser (FireFox).
But it still keep crashing just like using goole chrome.
I also received some emails to inform me that "Suspicious sign in detected on your Twitter account" or "Suspicious Activity on Your PayPal account".
Luckily, I haven't bind any credit card yet.
I need HELP:(

A:All internet browser keep crashing. Suspicious sign in some website accounts.

See what the programs below can find and remove.

Use CCleaner to remove Temporary files, program caches, cookies, logs, etc. Use the Default settings. No need to use the
Registry Cleaning Tool...risky. Pay close attention while installing and UNcheck offers of toolbars....especially Google.
After install, open CCleaner and run by clicking on the Run Cleaner button in the bottom right corner.
CCleaner - PC Optimization and Cleaning - Free Download

Download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from Here
Double-click mbam-setup-2.X.X.XXXX.exe to install the application (X's are the current version number).
Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
Once MBAM opens, when it says Your databases are out of date, click the Fix Now button.
Click the Settings tab at the top, and then in the left column, select Detections and Protections, and if not already checked place a checkmark in the selection box for Scan for rootkits.
Click the Scan tab at the top of the program window, select Threat Scan and click the Scan Now button.
If you receive a message that updates are available, click the Update Now button (the update will be downloaded, installed, and the scan will start).
When MBAM is finished scanning it will display a screen that displays any malware that it has detected.
Click the Remove Selected button.
MBAM will now delete all of the files and registry keys and add them to the programs quarantine. When removing the files, MBAM may require a reboot in order to remove some of them. If it displays a message stating that it needs to reboot, please allow it to do so.
While still on the Scan tab, click the link for View detailed log, and in the window that opens click the Export button, select Text file (*.txt), and save the log to your Desktop.
The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can also be viewed by clicking the History tab and then selecting Application Logs.
POST THE LOG FOR  REVIEW.

Download AdwCleaner by Xplode onto your desktop.
Close all open programs and internet browsers.
Double click on adwcleaner.exe to run the tool.
Click on Scan button.
When the scan has finished click on Clean button.
Your computer will be rebooted automatically. A text file will open after the restart.
Please post the contents of that logfile with your next reply.
You can find the logfile at C:\AdwCleaner[S1].txt as well.
download Junkware Removal Tool to your desktop.
Shut down your protection software now to avoid potential conflicts.
Run the tool by double-clicking it. If you are using Windows Vista, 7, or 8; instead of double-clicking, right-mouse click JRT.exe and select "Run as Administrator".
The tool will open and start scanning your system.
Please be patient as this can take a while to complete depending on your system's specifications.
On completion, a log (JRT.txt) is saved to your desktop and will automatically open.
Post the contents of JRT.txt into your next message

Hold down Control and click on this link to open ESET OnlineScan in a new window.
Click the button.
For alternate browsers only: (Microsoft Internet Explorer users can skip these steps)
Click on esetsmartinstaller_enu.exe to download the ESET Smart Installer. Save it to your desktop.
Double click on the icon on your desktop.
Check "YES, I accept the Terms of Use."
Click the Start button.
Accept any security warnings from your browser.
Under scan settings, check "Scan Archives" and "Remove found threats"
ESET will then download updates for itself, install itself, and begin scanning your computer. Please be patient as this can take some time.
When the scan completes, click List Threats
Click Export, and save the file to your desktop using a unique name, such as ESETScan. Include the contents of this report in your next reply.
Click the Back button.
Click the Finish button.
NOTE:Sometimes if ESET finds no infections it will not create a log.

So I just reinstalled Windows 10 on my machine.

Before I had it set up so that I could log in with a password or fingerprint.

Now it seems my only options are (1) password only OR (2) password, PIN or fingerprint.

I don't want PIN as a sign in option. But I have to enable PIN via "Windows Hello" before enabling Fingerprint sign in.

And once I have fingerprint sign in enabled, if I remove the PIN I lose both PIN and fingerprint sign in options.

Any ideas how I can set up password and fingerprint as my only two sign in options?

I would like to add more of the events regarding above issue.
Today morning when I ran sfc/scannow program again I got following message-
Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them. Details are included in the CBS.Log windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.logs

But again same problem arised that after typing findstr /c:"[SR]" %windir%\Logs\CBS\CBS.log >"%userprofile%\Desktop\sfcdetails.txt" I got 0 bytes file on desktop and original CBS.log file was of 4.42 mb .

From my layman point of view their is some thing wrong with my Windows OS and I want to repair it without crashing my system or re-installing Win7. Also I want to tell that recently before getting wifi broadband connection I had deleted my old restore points, disabled hibernation, disable pagefile.sys because on C drive had only 2 gb free space. After deleting them, I ran CCleaner & removed junk files, many unused programs, update my old software with 2013 versions. Then I ran disc check, defragmentation, completing this I installed Netgear genie software to control my newly establish wifi broadband connection. Then I created system restore point, at that time this Red cross or Busy blue circle was not issue. It occur when I personally decided to choose WPA-PSK[TKIP] + WPA2-PSK[AES] from WPA2-PSK[AES] (which was default set my bsnl network technician) security option to ensure good safety measure, even after changing it networking icons were working perfectly good. But problem occur when I switch back with WPA2-PSK[TKIP] and some other setting were tamper by me. Now I want to my networking icons to function normally with optimum security measure for my wifi.
I request you to guide my out of this problem.
Thank you.

I must advise you to never use a 3rd party application for WiFi connection management. There are security risks, and Windows 7 does a great job of handling these things itself. Disabling/uninstalling that would be my first suggestion. The next point of interest is the output you received from running "sfc.exe /scannow". If you have a Windows 7 install disc, boot from that and run the System File Checker with your Windows install offline. You can type "sfc.exe /?" to get the proper syntax. It should be something like:

Code:
sfc.exe /scannow /OFFWINDIR=C:\Windows /OFFBOOTDIR=C:\
Also, there is nothing to be gained from using anything other than straight WPA or WPA2 (unless you want to go enterprise and set up a RADIUS server, but that's a project in itself), so if you think that change coincided with when you started experiencing this problem, I would switch back to whatever WPA setup was working for you before. I might get some bad feedback on this one, but from an attacker's perspective, it would be just as hard to crack your WPA2 TKIP+AES pre-shared key as it would be to crack your WPA key. The method of attack is exactly the same; they would have to capture the 4-way handshake intact, and do endless Pairwise Master Key computations, and likely end up getting nowhere. Go WPA2 with AES if you like, since the only people to break AES (AFAIK) is the NSA. But then, I haven't heard of anyone breaking TKIP or CCMP. Anyhow, as long as you're not WEPing, you're golden.

A:Locking up on the net, then getting kicked off

I was on my computer and clicked on a pop-up that said Microsoft. Long story short, my anti-virus had expired ( unknown to me at the time ) and I ended up with a virus that totally shut down my computer. A friend said he did a re-install of Windows 7 without removing any of the data from my computer. My computer has been extremely slow and makes this odd double click sound when I boot it up.

I usually listen to music while working on the computer, or even let it run in the background. This is now impossible to do, as the music will freeze up within 5-10 minutes ( sometimes less ).  When I leave the site and return, the same thing happens or it totally kicks me
off the net, saying you are not connected to the internet. In which case I reboot and the process starts all over again. This also
happens with sites on the net, where no 'streaming' is involved.  ( This is my THIRD time now trying to post this message ).

I've had two different anti-virus programs installed, ran both and neither have indicated that I have a virus. I am pretty sure the
virus is still on here, I just have no idea where to start in what I know will be a very long and frustrating process.  Can anyone help?

Thanks

Hi!

AntiVirus Issue
It's advisable to have only one antivirus software per PC as there will be a conflict within the 2 of which you have. After that you may want to scan your PC. You may try malwarebytes if you need an antivirus @this address https://www.malwarebytes.org/downloads/

Windows Issue
I presume your friend just did an overlapping windows 7 installation and you still has the windows.old folder. But nevertheless, you may wish go to cmd and run sfc /scannow and see whether is there any corruption going on.

**Having a slow PC may have the following problems....

- Virus/Trojans attack
- Windows file corruption

I received a mod for my half-life game...Day of defeat. When I start playing the game like 5 minutes into the game I am shot out of the game all the way to the desktop, and I need to rerun the game completely to reenter internet play. What could be the problem? I'm not being booted from the server-room. It seem the program, or my computer is doing it.

I am running Windows XP and can not logon. It blinks thru "loading personal settings, to saving personal settings, to logging off personal settings". I tried entering thru safe mode and administrator and the same situation occurs. I had a tech person take the tower and he was able to run spyware, etc. which came up with nothing that would impair the system. Any suggestions are welcome. Thank you.

Have Cricket test your line. Maybe they have some tools that can help. If all is good on there end then you can start troubleshooting your wireless setup.

A shortcut appears on my Desktop called "InstantAccess", and a new connection gets created in my Network Connections folder called "AxFreePorn". It usually boots me off of whatever connection I'm using at the time, and makes it hard to reconnect unless I restart my computer and delete the connection.

I've tried deleting the application along with its shortcut, AND the new connection it makes, but after a while, it still keeps returning.

The connection it makes dials the number, "366-0222" and nothing happens.

Please help

When on the internet I once in a while get a message that my computer is trying to connect to LAN #2 and a message saying I am working offline. Click tools and uncheck working offline option, back online. This computer is only a few days old and OS is new to me. Any ideas what may cause this?
I should have added the error code was 651. In looking further I see it is a Windows 7 problem.

A:Kicked offline?

Click on the network icon and then troubleshoot problems. Try the event viewer to locate the possible problem.

So this computer has had an issue where it would boot to the windows screen then shutdown. Restart repeatidly and once it managed to load into windows it would run for days on end. No problem starting into Safe mode. Well today It kicked a some blue screens after I moved the computer downstairs. I thought maybe this might be the key to figuring out the initial headache.

Hi and welcome to BleepingComputer The process of cleaning your computer may require temporarily disabliling some security programs. If you are using SpyBot Search and Destroy, please refer to Note 2 at the bottom of this page. Please download Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and save it to your desktop.alternate download link 1alternate download link 2Make sure you are connected to the Internet.Double-click on mbam-setup.exe to install the application. When the installation begins, follow the prompts and do not make any changes to default settings. When installation has finished, make sure you leave both of these checked:Update Malwarebytes' Anti-MalwareLaunch Malwarebytes' Anti-MalwareThen click Finish.MBAM will automatically start and you will be asked to update the program before performing a scan.If an update is found, the program will automatically update itself.Press the OK button to close that box and continue. If you encounter any problems while downloading the updates, manually download them from here and just double-click on mbam-rules.exe to install. On the Scanner tab:Make sure the "Perform Quick Scan" option is selected. The log is automatically saved and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.Copy and paste the contents of that report in your next reply and exit MBAM.Note:-- If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you may be asked to reboot your computer so it can proceed with the disinfection process. Regardless if prompted to restart the computer or not, please do so immediately. Failure to reboot normally (not into safe mode) will prevent MBAM from removing all the malware. Note 2:-- MBAM may make changes to your registry as part of its disinfection routine. If you're using other security programs that detect registry changes (like Spybot's Teatimer), they may interfere with the fix or alert you after scanning with MBAM. Please disable such programs until disinfection is complete or permit them to allow the changes. To disable these programs, please view this topic: How To Temporarily Disable Your Anti-virus, Firewall And Anti-malware Programs

I have a Toshiba Satellite notebook with Windows Because I frequently Getting network wireless kicked off have to Getting kicked off wireless network take my computer Getting kicked off wireless network to client sites I find it easier to connect to the internet via wireless Often after the computer has been idle for an extended period it would disconnect from the wireless When I came back I would have to go through a reconnect and sometimes use troubleshooting to get back on-line Recently however the problem has expanded I'll be sitting at the computer working when it just goes off line When I click on reconnect and then go to troubleshooting one of several things happen I get a message that says quot Troubleshooting was unable to automatically fix all of the issues found 'Local Area Connection' doesn't have a valid IP configuration quot Then it reconnects I get a message that says quot Investigate router or broadband modem issues quot and tells me that it could not fix the problem Then it reconnects Neither of the above work and I have to reboot Does anyone know why it is doing this and more importantly if there is anything I can to about it It is incredibly annoying to click send on an email only to get a message that I am no longer connected to the internet Thanks for any help Harry Dreier

A:Getting kicked off wireless network

I removed the email address so that you do not get swamped by spam.

First thing is to update the driver for the wireless card . . Download it from the manufacturers support site and install it.

if the problem is still there,we can look deeper into your network environment:

First:

Power Cycle everything . . Turn off the Modem, router and all pc's . . turn on the Modem and wait a few minutes for the lights to stabilize . . then turn on the router, then one pc at a time. See if you connect to the internet.

Then:

Remove all the stored wireless network profiles and search for the network again.

How to Remove Stored Wireless Network Profiles for XP, Vista, and Windows 7

Then: check your browser's settings, remove any proxy settings if found here's how.

Then:

with the pc connected to the router, Click on Start . . Run . . type CMD

At the > prompt type or copy and paste the following command:

ipconfig/all > 0 & notepad 0

and press enter.

Come back here and Paste the results in a message.

If you are on a machine with no network connection, use a floppy, USB drive, or a CD-R disk to transfer a text file with the information to allow pasting it here.

then please Download and run this Xirrus WiFi Inspector, click the Networks link on the upper left and paste a screen shot of that screen here. Note that this application requires NET Framework to run. If you get an error about a missing function, download and install NET Framework.

To post a screen shot of the active window, hold the Alt key and press the PrtScn key. Open the Windows PAINT application and Paste the screen shot. You can then use PAINT to trim to suit, and save it as a JPG format file. To upload it to the forum, open the full reply window and use the Manage Attachments button to upload it here. For Vista and Windows 7, 8 you can use the Windows Snipping Tool

Recently my Samsung laptop has been getting kicked of my house's WiFi. The computer will power up normally and connect to the WiFi, but as soon as I try to use the WiFi to access the internet the connection fails.Typically this only occurs when other devices are connected to the same WiFi. As soon as the other decieves are taken of the WiFi the computer is able to access the internet again. I have tried updating all my drivers and still nothing. I'm not sure how to fix this problem. Is it possible a router issue? This computer never does it anywhere else.

Hello! I just bought a Belkin Wireless Router G plus MIMO and I still get kicked out of online games (remember before I got an old Linksys), I don't understand why? I have no idea, I have moved the router to higher locations, I moved it to a diferrent room and still the same problem, I don't know much of the settings of the router but is there anything I can modify to get rid of this problem? is 40-45ft really that much for wireless gaming? however I have to get across two walls, is that the problem? the signal indicates 82% please help me I don't know what else to try and I want to play games online with my Nintendo Wii.

A:Still getting kicked out of online gaming

I thought it could be Internet speed but on my wired PC I never have this problem when gaming online, I thought could be poor reception from the Wii, but the PS3 does the same thing, anybody? help will be highly appreciated!

I'm not sure if this is an IE problem, but for the past several months I am unable to stay on a secure website after entering my password. I have IE6, I've tried IE7 and the same thing happens. I'm able to initially access a secure website but when I click on another page within that website, I'm asked to enter my password. This only happens with IE, not Firefox. So I've only been using Firefox, but I'd like to find out what's going on with IE so I can use it again. I've adjusted my security settings. I don't know what else to do. I'd appreciate any input. Thanks.

Hello all I did away with the problematic ME software and now am trying to learn Kicked By Xp ? Firewall Pro Offline XP Pro I am using a wired D-Link router with DSL high speed service One gig of RAM video card and a processor Also included is AVG Zonelab Spybot and Spyware blaster While there is activity I am fine butt if I walk away from the keyboard for an hour and try to resume where I was at I am no longer connected to the internet ZL gives me a box saying the svchost is being blocked I have allowed it full access with the program control panel settings butt it is still timing out somewhere I check the router time out setting and have green checks across the board in ZL for this service Upon reboot all is well again until there is a lapse in activity and then I get the ZL box Can someone give me some direction towards a solution btw I have had my IP check the line and re-check the line it runs fine when it is running Thankx xtraloud

A:Xp Pro Kicked Offline By Firewall ?

What version of XP Pro are you using? Does it have SP2 (SP2 has a firewall)?
start > right click on My Computer > Properties

If so, you may have two firewalls running at once, Windows firewall and ZoneLabs firewall (if you have the ZoneLab firewall). But it is easy to check and should be the first thing to check IMHO.

To turn off Windows firewall:
Start > Control Panel > Security Center
Scroll down to the bottom of the page, click on Windows Firewall to open up a window that will allow you to turn it off.

Running two firewalls at once is not a good idea.

Like I said, this is a quick and easy thing to do, and may be the problem. Let us know.
