I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.
I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

I have a HP Pavilion x360 11-n010dx notebook and I would like to be able to have/ use the Miracast/WiDi feature that the Windows 10 Anniversary update is suppose to have. My laptop's touch screen doesn't work after updating my drivers to date. I opened the Tablet PC Setting, it says 'There is no pen or touch input available for this display' . (I used Shorcut to open the setting because the Tablet PC Setting disappeared in the control panel along with the functionality of the touchscreen). I tried doing a recovery but it wasn't successful to bring the touch back. Plus the HID-Compliant touchscreen driver is missing. Please help me to fix this, thanks.

I've just replaced the digitizer (touch screen) assembly on a HP Pavilion x360 11-k009tu Windows 10 laptop. All ok except the x-axis is reversed i.e. mirrored around the vertical axis, so if you touch on the left it responds on the right and vice-versa. I've tried many suggested solutions, none of the following have helped:> Re-calibrating the touch screen> Reverting to a system restore point prior to the digitizer replacement> De-installing & re-installing the touch screen device in Device Manager> De-installing & re-installing the touch screen drivers> Installing the latest touch screen drivers from HP support site> etc etc etc I did come across a reference somewhere re editing the touch screen calibration data (in registry or calibration file) and reversing the x-values but have since been unable to find that reference again. Here is the Service Manual: Manual Hard drive replacement is shown on page 36 of the Manual. Your laptop, by the specs, came with a 500 gig 5400 rpm drive. This model only uses the superslim 7mm hard drives so that is what you need to buy. There are also options for an M.2 solid state drive or a regular-sized SATA solid state drive in lieu of the slower 5400 rpm mechanical drive. In other words, this would be your opportunity to speed it up a bit. It does not appear we have Windows 8.1 drivers posted for this product. Did you try to load the VGA or any other drivers from our support site? If the drivers that are posted do not resolve your issue, you can try to check your pen and touch settings in Windows 8 and make sure touch is enabled.

Hi, Shutdown the notebook. Tap away at the esc key as you start the notebook to enter the Start-up Menu. Select the Diagnostic Menu option ( f2 ) and run the tests on the Hard Drive. My company wants to use one O/S throughout the business. Windows 10. On these machines it seems to stop the Touch from working. the I2C driver is showing as a fault, this happens on multiple machines. I purchased my HP Spectre x360 (i7, 8GB, 256SSD, Windows 10) two days ago.It worked perfectly until midday today when the touch keyboard icon in the bottom right of the toolbar began to toggle on and off for no reason. Simultaneously, the touch screen was unresponsive for the majority of the 13.3" display. When the icon is not toggling, everything works fine. This problem occurs (what seems like) at random times for random durations.I have done nothing outside normal use and checking to make sure there are no problems.My guess is it has something to do with switching from the various "360" modes and possibly the connectivity between the screen and keyboard panels.Has anyone else had similar problems?Are there any solutions already in place?

You could try using the Windows Update Troubleshooting tool to fix any updates that have not come through for Windows 10. I just wanted to tell you your customer service is a disgrace. I just bought a brand new spectre x360 10 days ago and its touch screen goes crazy every few hours. I had to contact your support 4(!!!) times: first time they updated the BIOS, second time they updated the BIOS and the graphics driver and the third time they had me do a full system refresh, nothing has helped. When I called the support line the last time they told me I had to replace my laptop and that it would take 7-9 business days for it to get replaced once they take it away! I'm new here in Los Angeles and don't have another laptop, while school is starting I don't have any alternative laptop and can't make do without one! Bought a brand new Envy last Thursday, touchscreen did not work. Called support and they remotely worked on it for a few hours ultimately having to restore to factory settings, still did not work. Exchanged laptop at store yesterday and the touchscreen on this one does not work either. Per the sales person at the store the touchscreen should work with computer in laptop or tablet mode, is this correct? Is there a known issue with these that I should choose another model? I have had this problem for a couple of weeks. I have researched and have done ALL the suggestions offered, including reinstalling Windows 10. I have used HP Support Assistance to make sure all of the updates have been installed. So far, nothing. However lately I have also started having trouble with the mouse and the touch pad. I purchased Spectre x convertible laptop at the start of August nbsp I had the computer for weeks and the touchscreen and pen Touch Spectre working stopped screen x360: functions stopped working nbsp I called HP and they had me send the computer to a repair center nbsp Below is the paste of nbsp my original posts under a different thread name that was probably too specific Spectre x360: Touch screen stopped working due to the model number nbsp Wanted my experience to be viewable by others having difficulty with Spectre laptops Spectre x360: Touch screen stopped working nbsp Original Spectre x360: Touch screen stopped working Thread nbsp https h www hp com t Notebook-Video-Display-and-Touch Spectre-x - - ms-touchscreen-st nbsp nbsp - - AM nbsp Bought this computer at the first week of August nbsp Set it up and used it for weeks nbsp Enjoyed the flexibility of the convertible funtion and regularly used the touch and active stylus features nbsp nbsp Then the touch screen and stylus functions stopped working After multiple attempts to reactivate the features i e restart new pen battery software updates I contacted HP support nbsp My assumption was that the hardware was bad the screen had failed in some way because the software didn't even recongize the touch ability any more nbsp HP support ran me through the standard solutions so again restart etc nbsp Then they wanted to reset Windows revert back to the shipped version of the software erasing all my files apps and software that I had migrated from my old computer nbsp That computer had been recycled at this point nbsp So I would be left to start over nbsp My feel was that it was a hardware issue so why go through the pain of having to reset up the machine nbsp After some coaxing by the rep I relented and reset windows nbsp No help nbsp The software still could not recognize touch or pen functionality nbsp nbsp Next step was to send the machine in for repair nbsp They told me it would take days nbsp That seemed like a long time to go without a computer nbsp I asked for a replacement machine nbsp The computer was only weeks old nbsp They refused nbsp And no compensation was offered for my lost time nbsp Now weeks later I still do not have my computer back and have recieved no info directly from HP nbsp I called in days ago nbsp and after being hung up on and redialing the number times I finally got through to a live person nbsp She stated there was a backlog in parts needed to repair that it would take another week nbsp Again I asked how I would be compensated for the fact that I paid full price for a working computer and was now going without one nbsp They gave me a number to call once the computer had been returned nbsp Now days later the HP Customer Support website still says that the computer will be shipped back to me on the th of September no updates have been given to me via email or phone and no computer has been sent to my home nbsp I called the number they gave me during my call days earlier I was guaranteed it was a direct line to customer service It was a different number that went into the same automated call directory that hangs up on customers that have sent their machines in for repair nbsp I hit zero until someone picked up at least zeros nbsp They are now telling me that parts won't be in for my computer until October th nbsp That would be two months without a computer nbsp How is that customer service nbsp I asked them to just send me a brand new computer nbsp They said they couldn't I did the usual and asked for a supervisor nbsp I'm on hold now nbsp If this was an apple product it would have been replaced on the spot nbsp nbsp I really liked the computer while it was working but am wondering why HP doesnt stand behind its own products and refuses to treat its existing customers with respect nbsp - - AMThird Update The HP Support Rep contacted me to let me know my case would be closed and the shipment date of the computer back to me is still expected to occur o... I applied the BIOS Update F.32 Rev A using the HP Support Assistant. After applying the update my touch screen no longer works.HP Chat assist has only come up with the option to rebuild the machine. Just bought new HP Spectre 360 yesterday. Took it home and the left touch pad button sometimes does not work and takes several tries to get it to click. My Dell laptop (Studio 1558 model - I5 processor) stopped working, Dump is showing BLUE SCREEN PROBLEM - DISPLAY DRIVER NOT WORKING. From the Blue Screens, check for and post any minidumps by going to C:\windows\minidump. Select all the .dmp files and right-click sending the files to a compressed(zipped)folder. Upload the folder as a file here
My ENVY m6-AQ003 x360 touch screen function clicks itself. It clicks really fast in a straight vertical line. I havn't used it in a couple days so when I turned it on and it started clicking my first thought was the mouse was acting up or the touch pad. so I unplugged the mouse and restarted the computer. It continued to do it after the restart so I tried to turn off the touchpad. But the screen kept clicking before I could. Although it has stopped after i played around with it. It seems to keep doing it from time to time a few clicks. I know it is the touch screen function after I realized that the touch screen makes circles where you click and the mouse and touch pad don't. Unless I'm missing something, this is a touch screen which you use your finger to navigate rather than a mouse. If you are more comfortable using a mouse you can use a usb type with the laptop. I personally don't know anyone who uses a stylus on a laptop touch screen.
Just out of curiosity, where did you read that you needed to use a "pressure pen"?
I recently received the HP Pavilion x x360 Pavilion laptop as a gift By the second use it was evident that something was wrong with the touchscreen It will occasionally go berserk and self-activate in which a poltergeist is seemingly tapping my screen incessantly and opening programs windows and files The touch screen animation of little taps across the screen clicks up and down the left side of my entire screen causing the most disturbance when it clicks within the Windows start menu where it clicks open programs etc While this is happening I cannot even control the mousepad as the cursor is incessantly being dragged back to where the touchscreen is being activated In the end I always have to force shut-down and generally I can reuse it for a while maybe like four hours or so before I have to go through the whole cycle again nbsp I have not noticed a pattern yet regarding when it occurs Sometimes it's write when I start the laptop sometimes it's after I've been using it for an hour or so nbsp Tactics I have tried Uninstalling and reinstalling touchscreen driverChecking for updatesRe-Calibrating the touchscreen nbsp Eventually just going into Device Manager and disabling the touchscreen altogether nbsp Here's a video of my HP Touchscreen ghost in action https drive google Pavilion x360 com file d B R-obFJQJotNG YzZkcFpKRjQ view usp sharinghttp://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Video-Display-and-Touch/Pavilion-x360/td-p/5715748
Haven't updated your laptop's trackpad driver lately? Then you may well want to consider doing so, at least if your laptop is equipped with a Synaptics trackpad. As a user on the Hardware Zone forums discovered, the latest Synaptics driver seems to enable multitouch gestures on older laptops that didn't previously support them, including two-finger scrolling, and three-finger click. What's more, while the drivers themselves come from HP, they should work just fine on other laptops with a Synaptics trackpad. Hit up the link below to try it out for yourself.

Hello ! I have choice betwen two models of Pavilion x360 13" : 13-a202nj 13-a201nj The 13-a202nj have a "ssd M.2" and the 13-a201nj have a sata SSHD. I wanted to know if these two models have the same mother board with a slot M.2 and a slot Sata or if they have two diferents boards one only with M.2 slot and one with only sata slot ? I also wanted to know if the memory ram is upgradable from 6 to 8 GB ? Thanks !!

The operating system is windows 8.1, I'm unsure of the bit size. The first thing that happened was the screen kept going black, I sent it off and it got fix, was never told what was wrong with it. Can the HP pavilion x360 13-s120 use an SSD for Windows 10? I have cloned my hard drive to SSD and when I install it says please install an operating system. I am trying to find a stylus that is compatible with my touchscreen laptop so i can use it for onenote and things like that. I've tried a few styluses like the surface pen that didnt work and was very unresponsive. I bought my Pavilion x360 from Germany and primarily I use the English language. I managed to change the operating system(Windows) to English, however I am at a loss when it comes to settings because the language is still German, all help related to the laptop is still German! Can anyone help me change this? I dont think its a problem with Microsoft, but with HP laptop language!

I recently just purchased a HP Pavilion x360 11-k101na and on the first day of using it, it restarted by itself twice due to some sort of problem, and it froze once and I couldn't get it to work. I had to hold down to power button to shut it down which I hate doing and upon turning it back on, it just wouldn't. This is only the first day of usage and I'm afriad something is wrong with it. If it is brand new and doing this I would call HP Warranty or better yet take it back to where you bought it if you have that option. When I try to turn my laptop on, the power button lights up, the fans run for a second, and then ceases. The power light stays on, and a light on the capslock key turns on and off repeatadly. The screen does not turn on at all. I would normally try a hard reset, but it does not have a removable battery. I have tried holding the power button for 15 seconds, but that doesn't do anything different. I am getting error 601 at boot up, and my battery went from working all day one day to less than 10 minutes the next. Hi folks Upgraded the ram recently from GB to the max GB and now Pavilion upgrade ram x360 11 problem the touchscreen doesn't work Everything else works fine and the machine is much faster than before so at least that part of the operation was a success Double checked all internal connections nothing to note In Device Manager the C HID device is marked as a problem nbsp and it reports that 'this device cannot start Code device returned an invalid HID descriptor' Driver is from but there seems to be no newer version Tried updating uninstalling reinstalling disabling the problem device to no avail I've since updated all nbsp the drivers that have an update available relevant devices or not Pavilion 11 x360 ram upgrade problem Rotation Lock is greyed out and if I do rotate the machine it sometimes gets stuck in portrait mode System info 'Pen and Touch - no pen or touch input is available for this display' I've run out of ideas so I'm hoping that someone here may have a suggestion or two Thanks in advance nbsp

My HP Pavilion x360 2 in 1 (brought in February this year) is plugged in but not charging. I can't remove the battery without opening the back panel which I don't want to do. It's plugged directly into the wall socket with the cable provided with the notebook when it was purchased. Please advise on how to fix the problem. Many thanks

I bought this laptop, new, yesterday. It charged all night. The specs say it has a battery life of 11.75 hours. That is the sole reason I decided to go with this laptop over one with better RAM. I just turned it on 30 minutes ago and it is 100% charged yet it only has a battery life of 5hr, 26 min. After 30 minutes of light use, it is 85% charged with 4hr, 3min left. Hello. I recently bought Pavilion x360 11, and on pretty much every review site etc. there was written that the full charge should last for approx. 6 hs of browsing internet. I tested it twice just browsing internet, and not even that much because at the same time i was playing on my PC. Both tests ended up in laptop hibernating after 4-4.5hs. I must say that is rather low battery lifetime, specially for me as I bought it for outside use mostly. Can it be defective battery or maybe upgrade to win 10 would work it out for me ? Hello! So i've been trying to find a solution to my x360 laptop. Yesterday, while i was typing in microsoft word for some school projects, it suddenly shuts down. I am having the opposite problem then many others. My rotation lock button is greyed out, but rotation is on and i want it off i have tried changing autorotation, enable but it doesn't work. I really hate the screen turning when i lie down on my side. i want to see it normally plz help.

I would make sure all updates have been done on the Notebook first. Restart the Notebook. Here is a link to show you how to configure and disable the screen rotation feature. In the Device Manager, click the arrow next to Display Adapters. Right-click on Graphics and select Uninstall Driver Software if more than 1 Graphics adapter do 1 at a time.Then restart the Notebook.The Notebook should find and automatically install the updated driver. My HP Pavilion x360 will only charge when the lid is closed or the computer is in sleep mode. I have tried changing any relevant power settings and have already consulted multiple friends. I'm wondering if there's a hidden setting I have yet to discover The HP assistant check said the battery is OK. I upgraded from Windows 8.1 to 10 some time ago not sure if there is a link to the problem I saw a thread for the fix for the Windows 8.1 but sure if that will work for Windows 10 tried a few of the videos on you tube about uninstalling drivers but they did not help. any clues please

I've had an HP Pavilion x360 for two months now. The other day I tried to connect it to a public wifi network and it wouldn't connect. I also have a newish pavilion x360. It worked fine for two months but now we have the white light no screen caps lock light blinking problem. From other posts this is quite common. I'm surprised it hasn't been fixed at the factory yet.I need to buy five more notebooks for a small business. The x360 seemed perfect but am now reconsidering. Hi, The auto rotation setting stopped working some time ago and I'm having troubles trying to restore it.Also the keyboard and mouse pad are not automatically locking when the laptop is in tablet mode. The auto-rotate mode in "Screen resolution" is on. This message appears when I open the settings bar on the right side of the screen: Any idea how to change it? 4.5 hours is actually very good. The 9 hours is based on some conditions not likely to be duplicated in the the real world.
