I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Are there any adapters to do this or ways to do this? I can't seem to find any.

I am buying new monitors, the dell u2414h. Now, while this does have hdmi, I will be connecting multiple monitors together to extend the display from the laptop to give me multiple screens. The problem with this is that it only works if you use displayport and not hdmi, so I need a way to convert the hdmi to displayport or mini displayport.

I will primarily be using these monitors with my laptop that has displayport, so that is why I am getting these monitors and that won't be a problem. I will most likely hook up other laptops to the monitors and hdmi is way more common from what I have seen on laptops than displayport and is why I need a way to go from hdmi to displayport or mini displayport.

Any ideas? Thanks.

A:Hdmi to Displayport/Mini Displayport

You can't, HDMI does not support daisy chaining in the manner that DisplayPort does and you can't use a simply adapter to go from HDMI to DisplayPort and get the features of DisplayPort.

So I have a Thinkpad T with NVIDIA Quadro NVS M with a VGA out and Displayport out Windows Pro -bit For the past few months I have simply just used a VGA cord from the VGA out to the tv and used external speakers for my tv setup I to LCD TV Displayport/HDMI 1080p recently bought a Displayport to HDMI adapter so I can pass both video and sound to my tv digitally Video and sound passthrough works just fine my laptop picks Displayport/HDMI to 1080p LCD TV the tv as a secondary display But I can t get it to run at p Over VGA it automatically set itself to x and never had an issue Now over HDMI it picks up at Displayport/HDMI to 1080p LCD TV x Hz NVIDIA control panel recognizes x as native but when I set it to that setting the screen edges are cut off top bottom left right they are off the screen I ve read this is what is called quot overscan quot but I m no television expert I tried resizing the screen but then another issue became apperent green dots all over the green like snow in different positions as time passes I have ruled out the new DP to HDMI adapter by pluggging my laptop with the same adapter and hdmi cord to my ASUS VH H monitor through its own HDMI input automatically runs at p with sound with none of the above issues I have spent a few hours Displayport/HDMI to 1080p LCD TV reading through similar topics on this forum and others but most conclude with driver update Unforunately since Lenovo opted out of Nvidia s driver program Im stuck with Lenovo s driver which is quite old Sept so thats off the table I ve read too this seems to be common with Windows and not Vista and XP Has anyone else had this issue and resolved it It would be nice to run my tv at p from my laptop and not x

Hello & welcome to sevenforums,

What's about duplicate the laptop screen over the Hdmi cable in the Windows 7 display settings, not your video card drivers?
So the laptop will be overscan, but not the digital TV that will have the full screen without any black borders or cutted edges.

But looks the duplicate display will stay at 1366x768 / 60hertz, 32bits colors.

I replaced my monitor with a Dell that has VGA, DVI and DisplayPort. My PC outputs VGA or HDMI, so I'm using an HDMI to DVI cable(previous monitor is VGA and DVI only). My only gripe with this cable is that the DVI end is hard to attach/remove. I can get HDMI-DisplayPort cables or adapters, this would be so much easier to deal with than trying to screw that DVI cable in place, but I need to know if outputting HDMI into the DisplayPort is going to cause any issues with picture quality.

I see either dedicated cables or converter boxes on eBay, converter box would be cheaper and I can use whatever HDMI cable I have on hand.

Hi, I just installed my windows 7 (64x) again (after formatting the hard-drive) but now I have a problem with the audio from displayport to hdmi. I can't transfer the voice from laptop to TV anymore. I checked almost everything. Disabled the video and audio cards, set the AMD HDMI output as a default device or even disabled the rest but nothing worked so far. My display: AMD mobility radeon HD 5000 Any suggestions?

Hi @sasan79, Thank you for your inquiry. I grasp that you have formatted the drive and reinstalled Windows 7, but now you do not have audio on the TV.  Previously it was working fine. Have you done all your Windows updates?  Have you run the HP Support Assistant?  Have you run the Windows troubleshooter? Here is a link to HP Notebook PCs - Troubleshooting HDMI Display and Sound Issues that may also help. Please let me know the results. Please let me know if this resolves the issue by marking this post as "Accept as Solution".  To simply say thanks, click the ?Thumbs Up? below!    If you require further assistance let me know and I will gladly do all I can to help.

I am trying to connect the HDMI port on my nVidia GeForce GT 640 video card to the DisplayPort input on my HP Compaq L2206tm monitor. This is the reverse of what is expected by cable fabricators who have lots of cables and adapters for the opposite configuration, i.e., DP on the videocard and HDMI input on the monitor. There seems to be a uni-directional vs bi-directional issue involved with DP, but I don't quite understand it. Anyway, the uni-directional choices I am seeing are in the wrong direction. Anybody dealt with this and what is your advice for me?

On my ThinkCentre M92p which has Windows 7 pro installed I am using a standard monitor from the onboard VGA.
But now I want to run a 2nd display to my LCD TV. So I have a new cable into the onboard displayport and the other end is HDMI into my TV. Nothing showed on the TV (no signal). So I went to the display settings and click on Detect but (Another display not detected) came up. Then I went into BIOS and set up the video to Multiple Displays. Still No Signal.
As far as I know I have the correct drivers for this model from the support downloads. Driver (b2vdo41us14.exe)
I am hope now someone can guide me through what I am doing wrong. And be thankful for any input.

I'm trying to run audio to a stereo receiver over an HDMI cable attached to my computer (T420s) through a DP to HDMI adapter. I have the DisplayPort++ symbol on my computer, so a passive adapter should work. The only playback device listed though is Conexant 20672 SmartAudio HD. I've tried installing the Intel Graphics Driver listed on Lenovo's site, hoping it might install the Intel Display Audio driver. It did not seem to. I still have to Intel audio in the device manager. Any ideas on what to do to get audio to my stereo receiver?

I purchased a MiniDP to HDMI cable that is capable of 4k resolution. I hooked it up to my X1 (Gen1, model 3444-G7U) laptop into my LG TV (which also supports 4k). I can't get the TV to go above 1080p! Again, the TV is brand new and 4k capable, the MiniDP to HDMI cable is 4k capable, and it's connected from my X1 laptop's MiniDP port.

Hello. We have connected a HP 8200 Elite to our Samsung TV with a displayport to hdmi converter 1 year ago, and it worked well. A week ago we bought a new TV table and after reconnecting the HP 8200 to our Samsung TV we get no signal to the TV.Yesterday I tested to connect a HP monitor with displayport to the HP 8200 with a displayport cable, and it did work.Today I was and switched the displayport to hdmi converter at the Kjell & CO reseller, BUT WE STILL GET NO SIGNAL TO THE SAMSUNG TV. I have connected a monitor with the RGB contact / cable, and have tested to change the display settings to make it work, BUT WITH NO SUCCESS. Could a straight displayport to hdmi cable solve the problem? Regards Roger

I own an HP 8440p with the NVS3100 graphics card. I have tried all suggestions regarding getting the DisplayPort to pass audio through a DP-to-HDMI adapter with no success. I have even tried purchasing multiple adapters in the hopes of findingone that worked, even HP's own pricey adapter.  Can I conclude that it is now settled that the HP 8440p with the discreet NVS3100 (not the integraed Intel Graphics) simply cannot be made to pass audio from the DisplayPort to to an HDMI adpter? If the answer is that it cannot then I will start shopping for a new laptop with a native HDMI and not the troublesome DisplayPort. Thanx, Redlyne

Hi gang,

I have a asus z87pro mobo. i currently have a dsub monitor and dvi monitor plugged into the appropriate ports and both monitors display independent desktops under win7 64bit quite nicely.

My specific question is:

which adapters would allow me to connect 2 additional dsub 1900*1200 monitors to both the hdmi socket and the displayport socket, so that i run a total of four monitors.

I have seen this :
PC HDMI to VGA SVGA RGB HDTV Video Cable Converter Adapter PS3 XBOX 360 Apple TV | eBay

and this
Display Port Male to SVGA/ VGA Female Adapter Convertor Changer Cable Lead Wire | eBay

But i am unsure whether they would both allow me to run a further 3rd and 4th connected pair of dsub monitors.

Can you advise?

I am plugging a HDMI cable into the HDMI port on a Dell E5440 laptop and the other end of the cable, which is Display Port, into a Dell P1914S monitor.
Nothing shows on the external monitor no matter what I do or try on either the laptop or monitor?  I have tried this on a Dell E7000 series laptop also with no result on that one either?
Does the HDMI port on Dell laptops support video or do I need to utilise some other means of connecting a second monitor.  Bear in mind there is no VGA output on these laptops.
Thanks in advance

A:Win 8.1 - TV connected via HDMI not detected as a Display

The 2006 device driver is simply the generic one which is normal, same one I get when TV is plugged in.
What HDMI port are you using? One on motherboard or one coming directly from GPU? This almost has to be a graphics driver problem.
Why would you try installing drivers in 7 compatibility mode? We are talking 8.1 here right? Have you tried drivers from manufacturers site?
A laptop or desktop? Motherboard and GPU make/model?
So, so many details you've left out.
Would help to have some system specs.

A:AMD HDMI output not plugged in,no sound card detected in dxdiag

The AMD HDMI is ONLY for HDMI audio and not for regular PC audio. Unless there is an HDMI cable plugged in, you will get the no cable plugged in notice.

Please post the motherboard manufacturer and model number. Without that I can't say what sound is on the PC's motherboard (for regular PC audio). But, if the PC audio is enabled in the BIOS and is Windows 7 compatible, Windows would install the generic, basic function, HD Audio Driver (Codec) and the PC sound would work. If the sound chip on the motherboard is not Windows 7 compatible (an old Win XP hardware) you will have to install a sound card to have PC audio.

The DX Diag, because the sound is not there, does not help.

This is a question reagrding the Toshiba Satellite Pro T130-15F.

When I connect the laptop to my HP2159m monitor with a HDMI lead, the laptop detects the monitor as a digital tv. As a result it send an incorrect signal, which results in a poor picture quality. Furthermore, on the receommended resolution, the image is too large for the screen. I guess this is a shortcoming of the driver for the mobile intel 4 series chipset.

Unfortunately, the newer driver on the Intel web site cannot be installed on the laptop.

Is there a way to work around this problem without replacing the driver?

When will Toshiba release an improved driver that solves this issue? A quick search on the web convinces me (i) that I am not the only person struggling with this problem and (ii) that it is not specific to either this monitor or this laptop.

>When I connect the laptop to my HP2159m monitor with a HDMI lead, the laptop detects the monitor as a digital tv. As a result it send an incorrect signal, which results in a poor picture quality

I had the same issue.
I had connected the notebook to my external wide screen monitor using HDMI cable.
Since it?s a full HD monitor I chose the resolution 1920 x 1080 (1080p).
But the picture was no perfect.

I purchased an HDMI to DVI cable and has connected my notebook to DVI on the external monitor.
This was the key?

The point is that my monitor has an TV input and monitor input? the PC should be connected to DVI. My PS3 is connected to HDMI.

>Is there a way to work around this problem without replacing the driver?

You can do this! I did it too.
I could install the Intel graphic driver in device manager.
I have downloaded the driver from intel page and then have updated the driver via device manager.
You have to use the advanced installation procedure which helps you to point to the driver and files which you have downloaded from intel page.

Hiyya Paul mate sounds like (no pun intended) that thump dislodged something on the board just carefully move the I/O output block and see if there is any movement, could be something a simple as dry joint but which is going to be hard to find and fix.

If you have some warranty and I know it is a PITA having to reef it all out again but.....

Personally I have the P8Z77-V and I just stuck an Asus Xonar DG card in the thing and there is no comparison really and you get one heck of a control centre. Not expensive I don't know about where you are but out here $35 so both my Ivy and Sandy Bridges have them.

Hello,On my T440S, since BIOS v2.37.1.13 (with little hope that v2.39 would fix it, I installed it to no avail), I can no longer enter hibernation. When I try to do so, the red LED blinks multiple times and then the computer immediately wakes up. The event viewer only shows:The system has returned from a low power state.Wake Source: UnknownThe workaround is to either unplug all usb devices, or disable USB 3.0 support in the BIOS, which sucks for a 1000e + laptop.Otherwise, the computer enters a sleep-hibernate-wake up loop which is draining the battery. When do you plan on releasing an update (BIOS or USB 3.0 driver) to fix this hibernation issue?Thank you.

Hi All, I have a T440s in an Ultradock with the monitor closed and three external monitors connected (1 HDMI, 1 DVI, 1 VGA). Everytime that i undock the laptop and open the display, the display stays black.  This doesn't seem to happen if i put the laptop to Sleep, undock the laptop, and then turn the machine back on.  The only solution after undocked is to do a hard shut-off (losing any open data) and then turn the laptop back on. I've used the Lenovo Updates and Drivers application as well as the support website to validate that the Intel HD Graphics drivers are on the latest version. Any help is appreciated!

My t440s will hang all the time, like this: keyboard and mouse are unresponsive. If sound is enabled it makes this horrendous sound. There is no blue screen. It has to be power cycled. It happens every few weeks or so. Has now done it in Windows 7,8 and 10. Have tried updating all the drivers, and it still happens. Have tried using and not using peripherals, and it still happens.

A:T440S hangs all the time

Could be a bad hard drive or RAM (both of which can be tested using Lenovo Solution Center), but I would start by noting the time of the hang, and then rebooting and checking the Windows Application and System event logs upon restart to see if there are any errors reported that stand out.    I once had an issue similar to what you are seeing, and the logs pointed to a hard drive controller error, which in the end was not the controller, but a bad/loose ribbon cable that seemed to act up when the system got hot. Open Windows Event ViewerStart >> Run and type: eventvwr Press Enter Good Luck,

Hi Dsc,
Welcome to Lenovo Forums.
Undocking a portable computer while it is in either standby mode or hibernate mode can result in data loss and system instability. To avoid loss or damage, use Undock to undock your computer, or shut down the system and undock the portable computer while your system is off.
How exactly are you undocking the computer? Are you undocking the computer using undock option?
Also, please update the latest BIOS.

Hi, I'm setting up my new thinkpad t440s and I cannot get my trackpoint to work.  It does not respond and in my mouse properties/thinkpad section, the Touchpad is clearly enabled, but the Trackpoint options are all greyed out.  In the pointing options dropdown, I can only see the option to 'Use TouchPad only.'  I strongly prefer the Trackpoint to the Touchpad and would prefer it if possible. I currently have Synaptics pointing device driver version, the most recent version.  I've tried rolling back to previous versions and this issue still persists.  I also have gone into BIOS and disabled and re-enabled the Trackpoint in boot settings. Unfortunately, since this is a work machine, I do NOT have the capability to remove the keyboard or replace parts.  Any ideas at all would be greatly appreciated.

This is what happened to my T420.  Just about drove me nuts.  Since it would start in one power mode but not the other that proved that it couldn't be the button, right?  Another mod with more sense suggested replacing the keyboard anyway.
It was the power button.  On careful visual inspection I could see that it was slightly depressed from normal.  Either partly shorted or high resistance.  Plugging in the AC mains must have changed the voltages just enough for it to work.  Sometimes, anyway.
Not saying this weird problem is what you're seeing - but it might be.
Good luck,

After restarting, it seems to be working but normally won't last for longer than 1 hour. I have called customer support and upgraded to latest keyboard driver as advised, but nothing improves. Please advise, thanks.

A:T440s keyboard stops working

Welcome to Lenovo Community Forums!
I?m sorry to hear that a few keys of your Lenovo ThinkPad T440s is not working properly.
Check if the keys are working in different applications. Some keys such as the function keys F1 through F12 will not work with every program. An easy way to test this is to open notepad or other word processing program and trying the key. Try getting into safe mode and see if the keys work. Remove the key from the keyboard and clean it. In some situations dirt, hair, dust, etc. can obstruct keys causing them not to work.
Please try to get into BIOS mode and see if the keyboard is working there.
1. If you are able to use the keyboard in BIOS, it could be a software issue. I would recommend in that case to do a System Restore which will revert the settings in your system to a previous time.
2. If keyboard doesn?t respond in BIOS as well, it probably indicates a faulty keyboard. I strongly suggest you to contact our technical support for assistance.

Now it won't boot up. I press the power the button, the keyboard backlight flashes, and it then remains "on" for 65 seconds, then turns itself off. The screen remains blank during this whole time and pressing keys doesn't appear to do anything. I've tried doing all the stuff with removing the internal and external batteries, pressing the emergency reset button, trying booting only on battery, trying booting only on AC power, holding the power button for 30 seconds with everything disconnected, removing the RAM, removing the SSD, etc, etc. It just seems stuck in this state. A:Brand New T440s with BIOS password

Indeed, it may happen. Sometimes large customers request preconfigured laptops which may include customized supervisor passwords. Of course, you should have not received one of these units. Ask the seller for a replacement unit, as there is no easy way to remove an unknown supervisor password without replacing the laptop mainboard.

Uninstall the devices listed there, and reboot the system. This will refresh the USB drivers. Now check if the USB ports in the docking station works. Try updating the BIOS and power management driver to the latest version.
If the above said didn?t help, it probably indicates some fault in the docking station and I would recommend you to get it replaced.
Best regards,

Hi, I have a T440S with WIN8.1 and notice that I'm not able to switch off my wireless connection and when I checked at PC Settings/NETWORK/AIRPLANE MODE found it disabled without the option to turn ON/OFF. Also, when I try to use the Fn+F8 (wireless key) it just open the NETWORK Tab without the AIRPLANE mode. Please see attachment. Can anyone help me here. Thanks in advance. MC

I got a new T440s with an 256gb SSD by Samsung. I would like to set a hard disk password in the bios. But the menu item "Hard Disk x Password" is not showing up on the bios page Security->Password. All other menu items from "Hardware Password Manager" to "Power-On Password" do show up. Does anybody have the same problem? Is there another way of setting the hard disk password?

Go to Solution.

Are you using the Lenovo factory preload as you received it from Lenovo?  Or did you do a clean install of Win8/Win8.1 yourself?
Did you buy your system directly from Lenovo, or from a reseller?

Hi, I am using a t440s thinkpad with Arch linux installed on it.  The external battery was working fine at first but recently it refuses to discharge first.  The internal battery discharges then shuts the computer down when its empty leaving the external battery at full charge. Running acpi -V on my computer it outputs the following: Battery 0: Unknown, 100%
Battery 0: design capacity 6039 mAh, last full capacity 5672 mAh = 93%
Battery 1: Discharging, 98%, 02:16:50 remaining
Battery 1: design capacity 1924 mAh, last full capacity 1767 mAh = 91%Battery 0 is my external battery and is labeled as unknown.  I updated the BIOS to the latest version and this did not fix this issue.

My external battery is not working.  I get the following errors when I start my computer. 1. Power Manager Guage - An error occurred while loading this resource.2. There was a problem laodgin (x86)\Thinkpad\Utilities\PWMTR64V.dll A dynamic link library (DLL) initalizaiton routine failed. Under Lenovo Settings - Power manger it says my second battery is in bad condition.  I bought a new battery and it still displays this message. Under battery gague reset it says 90% remaining for the second batery.  I'm running windows 10 / 64bit and have done all the lenovo updates and attempted to reinstall the related driver.

Hi Dan, Do you have a setup.exe file located in the c:\program files\Lenovo\settingsdependency\power  folder, and if so, can you try running that and see if the problem goes away?     I should add, that it might just say Setup, and not actually say Setup.exe depending on your view settings, but run it anyway.

Greetings nbsp As the subject describes my laptop screen flickers quickly and at irregular nbsp intervals nbsp I notice it once every - minutes or so but it could be more frequent perhaps at times when I laptop irregularly flickers t440s screen am not concentrating on the screen or it is too light to notice nbsp It is quite irritating and noticable though nbsp The flickering started about weeks ago and doesn't seem to be getting much worse nbsp I spend time in both Fedora linux and Windows nbsp It occurs in both operating systems but seems to occur more frequently in Fedora nbsp nbsp I had the original t440s laptop screen flickers irregularly screen replaced by a repair shop last year for an unrelated issue nbsp nbsp The flickering is not like the problem posted here https forums lenovo com t ThinkPad-T -T -and-newer-T T s-Screen-Flickering m-p M nbsp Any advice is appreciated nbsp I am afraid my laptop is no longer under warranty so I will be stuck paying to repair this issue nbsp If so I would probably disassemble and replace the effected part myself since I have the tools and some experience doing this nbsp nbsp Thanks

I have a T s which Lenovo Companion Battery Reported - by T440s "Bad" I bought in July It is out of warranty Lenovo companion reports my primary battery is BAD but says absolutey nothing else even though it reports a full charge In T440s - "Bad" Battery Reported by Lenovo Companion fact the lenovo battery icon in the corner of my display shows battery is green and I'd like to understand whether this battery is bad in the sense that it should be removed from the computer immediately or whether it has detected that it is no longer holding a full charge and could be left there I am almost always at the desktop in a docking station so I don't need the full charge nbsp I don't understand why nbsp all they report is Bad Any suggestions as to how I might find more or if it is just reporting lower capacity and nothing more nbsp Also it was kind of confusing which battery they meant when they said primary is bad I could see an argument that either is the primary battery Better to have used the terms integrated and removable I removed the removable battery and reran the test to determine the primary battery is actually the integrated battery I think the service person said the opposite nbsp The lenovo companion page that reports the battery is BAD has a link for more information and it goes to a general lenovo webpage that has nothing to do with support They are trying to get me to apply for a lenovo credit card I think Its so disgraceful how they dropped the ball on this one nbsp Alex nbsp nbsp Moderator comment Model added to subject for clarity

T440s, win 10. Recently, I can't connect to the university's wifi anymore. Sometimes I can connect but it says "No internet", while my friends around were using it. I borrowed a usb wireless adaptor and it worked good, no problem. I can connect to the wifi at home and some other places, but not on campus. I uninstalled the driver but it just reinstalled automatically after reboot. Anyone know how to fix this? I have read someone said it might be because the MAC address is blocked. Is that possible and why? Thanks.

I have a T440s with win10. When I listen to music after a couple of minutes the sound freezes for a second and makes a buzzing sound and it is really disturbing. I've already tried different drivers (from realtek, from ms, from lenovo), settings (dolby off, sound enhancement off, sampling rate), disabling lan (someone recommended in an other topic), bios update but no change. Btw it works perefectly when I use a usb soundcard. What else can I do? Thx!

Hello, I have been using the following battery for less than two years :Power Manager Battery screen? As you can see, it has been used for 159 cycles. My problem is : the battery won't charge anymore. It says that "The battery cannot be charged. Replace the battery". I'm very confused because it was working perfectly fine and suddenly it decided to stop working correctly. I will not buy a new battery because I can't believe that it died after such a light usage. Does anyone know how to fix this ? Is there a way to 'force' the battery to charge ? Thanks a lot, Sylvain

I've had a T440S for about a year and a half.It came with windows 8 which I upgraded to 8.1 and then later upgraded to Windows 10Everything was working fine until perhaps 4 weeks ago when the laptop will no longer wake up from "deep sleep".If I close the lid for 20 minutes ("light sleep" it does wake back up, but if left overnight it does not wake up...Until about 4 weeks ago when I opened the lid in the morning it would say "Resuming from deep sleep" ... now ...I have to hold the power button down to turn the laptop OFF then restart - loosing all open work. Lenovo System Update does not report any uninstalled critical patchesI have had hibernation disabled since upgrading to Windows 10A little googling implies this is a pretty widespread issue across multiple brands of laptops. Can anyone give me a hand? Thanks in advance!Jim

And now according to the support rep I have to mail it in and be without it for another weeks nbsp I got my T s in November used it every day for work and loved it until about a month ago when it simply didn't turn on and then the nightmare begins nbsp I took it to a Lenovo certified warranty shop who replaced the system board but still couldn't get it to power on nbsp He noticed I had on-site warranty so suggested I T440s again board dead 3 system replacements after use that nbsp A certified repairman came to my workplace replaced the system board and was able to make it turn on nbsp T440s dead again after 3 system board replacements It worked for about a week until one morning it no longer turned on nbsp Yet another certified repairman came to my workplace several days after that replaced the system board got it working again nbsp Less than hours later it no longer turned on nbsp At this point most companies I'm T440s dead again after 3 system board replacements used to dealing with would send me a brand new product with instructions for me to send in my broken laptop which is clearly a lemon nbsp Yet instead I'm told I have to send in my laptop and be without a computer for TWO weeks and then they MIGHT send me a new one if they can't fix it nbsp I'm generally a very patient person sometimes to a fault but this is unacceptable to me nbsp I paid a good amount of for this laptop including extended warranty because it's my work computer and I didn't want to risk being without it nbsp nbsp Does anyone have a suggestion for getting a better resolution of this issue

As much as I hate to say it. Escalate, Escalate, Escalate. Get ticket numbers and be a pitbull. I don't know if that will work but that is what I would do. Frankly, I am awaiting my delivery of a customized T440s, 3/24 is the delivery date, and I am getting nervous about quality and support. Like everyone else, we all paid good money for a premium laptop and the quality and support is dubious at best. IMHO. I am an avid Thinkpad user and have used many during my career. They used to be quite solid and trouble free. I am starting to wonder. It may have been better to have gone to BestBuy. At least there would be the option to walk in and tell them "I want a new one!"

Hello Lenovo Community, I have a Lenovo T440s but the three mouse buttons above the clickpad do not work. However if I uninstall the synaptics driver, the mouse buttons work but then click won't, kinda. Only tap to click works, no two-finger scrolling.  If I install the synpatics driver the mouse buttons do not work and I get full multi geasture support for the clickpad.  Lenovo Technical supports wants me to ship the PC.  Does anyone else have a different solution. Even in the mousepad settings, the mouse buttons do not show. Thank you
