XPS 2720 Touch Screen stopped working

Q: XPS 2720 Touch Screen stopped working

I have had this system for around 3 weeks, and today the touch screen just stopped working for no apparent reason.
I have barely used the system since I received it (have been away), and so it is very unlikely it is due to anything I have done (I've installed virtually nothing except Microsoft Office).
I am reluctant to go fiddling with BIOS drivers, etc, given the repercussions that has had for some people elsewhere on this forum.
Any ideas please?
(I must admit I am disappointed to be having numerous issues in a top of the range computer at a premium price.)

Preferred Solution: XPS 2720 Touch Screen stopped working

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

My Ideapad S415 touch screen has suddenly stopped working.  I've had a tech connect to my PC and try a BIOS reload of default settings, plus unistalling all "HID" devices in Device Manager with no resolution.  I've also tried a system restore with no luck. The system properties does see the touch capability. Suggestions? Thanks.

First do a Power Drain 
     (If the battery is removable)
            Remove AC and Battery and hold the power button down for 15 sec.
               Turn the computer back on and see if the Touch capability is now detected under System Properties,
                  If not
         I suggest you contact Lenovo Technical Team about the Issue as this may be a device detection issue.

Just bought the Samsung All in One PC and the Touch Screen stopped working:

My touch screen stopped working about 2 days ago. The computer is updated, I ran the HP support and nothing happened. I ran also 2 tests, those that you can enter using F2. Everything seemed to be fine but it simply doesn't work, no matter if it is in PC or tablet mode. The result is the same.

  Hi @natalia1818, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I read from your posts that you are having an issue with your HP Pavilion 11x360 PC Notebook and the Touchscreen not working correctly. You might need to check that the Touchscreen is enabled on the Notebook. Here is a listing on how to do that: Press the Windows logo key + X.Select Device Manager from the list.Click the little arrow next to Human Interface Devices to expand the list.Click the touch screen driverRight-click, and select enable from the list.Confirm you want to enable. You can do a system restore. System restore will help if something automatically updated and did not go well on the Notebook. I suggest at least 4 days ago as it will make sure to catch what changed the settings. When performing a System restore please note remove any and all USB devices. Disconnect all non-essential devices as they can cause issues. Please let me know how this goes. If this post helps you to resolve the issue you can click the Thumbs up icon to show gratitude! Thanks.

I just got my ideapad 110 touch Friday. After using it for awhile and recieving a brief windows 10 update my touch screen quit working. How can i fix this?

My touch screen stopped working about a year after I bought this computer. Right before it stopped working completely random items started opening on the computer as if there was a phantom clicking on things. I thought it was a virus but none was ever found by many anti-virus scans and nothing else in the computer was harmed. I'm leaning more to thinking that it is a hardware issue. Any help is apprecaited!  Thanks!

When I click on it is say: Currently, this hardware device is not connected to the computer. I've had nothing but problems since my computer updated to windows 10, sadly I missed deadline to go back to windows 8.1. The touch screen barely worked after the update and has stopped working all together now. I've tried all trouble shooting suggested. After trouble shooting tried to call for support only to find out I'd have to pay because my computer is over 12 months old.

My touch screen as stopped working. It was working fine, screen went to sleep and when I woke it up the touch screen had stopped working. Not sure if I may have push or touched something to lock or deactivate the touch screen?

There is a function key to lock the touch pad (mouse pad) on the keyboard but nothing obvious for the screen.

In the first week with my Y700, sometimes, when the pc started, the touch screen just didn`t work and i had to reboot in order to use this functionality. Now, there`s nothing i can do to use the touch, it`s like the computer never had a touchscreen.Looking in device manager i haven`t found anything related to the touch interface but there is a " Unknow USB Device" in Universal Serial Bus controllers tab.What shall i do?

Hi, I have a Satellite U840t-103.

The touch screen stopped working a little while ago.
I just don't know why.

I think I may have been fiddling with the project button, but I still can't make it work again.

Hi

The touch screen does not require any special Toshiba drivers.
The driver is already part of the Windows 8 / 8.1
Therefore I don?t think there is some software problem but of course, I would recommend you to recover the notebook back to factory settings using the Toshiba recovery disk just to check if this procedure would enable the touch screen functionality once again.

This is an first common procedure in case something wrong would happen to the notebook or the system.

But if system recovery doesn?t help, the notebook needs to be checked by authorized service provider for possible hardware malfunction. But let?s hope, the recovery procedure would solve your problem.

So my pavilion was a gift back in August 2015 and about a month later the touchscreen stoped working at first I thught I had turned something off but it wasn't that. I upgraded to windows 10 thinking it would solve any issues but it didn't. Ive tried everything. Also about a two days ago my pc bagan to disconnect from the wifi at random now I know something is wrong. It was purchased at Famsa so i don't really know. I've check the properties and the touch calibration isn't even there. I've kept it clean and has no visible damage.Please I need the touch ability for school and there's no point in having bought a touch screen computer if it doesn't even work properly.

Try the steps below and let us know if issue persists.
1. "Press Windows" key +"C" to select the search option
2. In the search box type "Device Manager" and click on it.
3. Select the "Human Interface Devices", in that right click on "HID-compliant touch screen" and select "Uninstall"
4. It will display the warning message "you are about to uninstall this device from your system" click ok
5. Restart your computer and the driver should install on its own.
Check for the functionality and let me know if issue persists.

hello, my computer had a Windows update today, and now the touchscreen (which was fully functional before the update) is not working.  it is not the screen, as this happened once before to me and I did a system restore to fix it.  I tried a system restor this time, didn't work.  I looked in the Device Manager, and there IS NO DRIVER for my touchscreen.  how do I reinstall, it is NOT listed in the driver list on the HP website for my product.  help! Ivan

This may sound odd, but remove the battery, then press and hold the power button for 30 seconds or so. Now plug it in to AC and see if the touchpad is working again. A Guy

My touch pad has completely stopped working.

I have a sony VAIO laptop and it doesn't have the eraser-looking mouse in te middle of the keyboard. I have another normal mouse plugged into the USB, but the clicky buttons undeneath the touch pad and the touch pad itself have just stopped working!

I don't have any idea what could be wrong, but any help would be appreciated. THANK YOU!!!!

Hi check in device manager for any error flags ie yellow ! or red Xs, if you have then go to the sony support site for your model and download and install the driver,you may wish to download the driver for the touchpad and install it and see if it sorts your issue

The touchscreen stopped working suddenly on my Envy TouchSmart Sleekbook - dx At first i though it was like a normal failure and that will get fixed by turning the pc off or restarting so I did not pay attention to it until now that I screen- not touch touch... Hello everyone, my touch screen on my lenovo ideapad z400 touch is not working anymore.  The only weird thing I remember is some ghost touchpoint on my screen. I've been looking for the answer to this issue, but it seems that Lenovo does not address this problem.  If someone has found the solution to this problem and wants to share it with me, I will be forever grateful.

hi ya. im hoping someone can help me with an issue im having my laptop. for some reason my touch pad and keyboard stop working. i have tried reintalling windows to correct the issue which it does for a day and then the same thing happens again. when i checked in device manager and clicked on PS/2 mouse it said there was a code 10 error. if i uninstall ps/2 and restart the laptop it fixes the issue for a while, then it occurs again. my OS is windows 7, i think it was upgraded from windows vista (i only recently purchased this laptop 2nd hand) so im not 100% sure on that. the driver date for the ps/2 compatible mouse is 6/21/2006. i have tried looking on the website for a more updated keypad driver but i could not seem to find one. it seems to have every other driver apart for keypad driver.

any help would be greatly appreciated

just replying as I'm having exactly the same issue, though on Win 8. Somehow the drivers were gone for the keyboard and touch pad, and while I resolved the touchpad issue by reinstalling the driver, but still cannot find the keyboard one.

So in your control panel under mouse does it have a touch pad at all? Is it enabled in the BIOS, as I know some laptops give you that option to disable it. By mouse stopped working do you have an external mouse? Is it USB?

My external drive has stopped working. It turns on alright but does not make its usual noises nor does it show that it is there on the computer. I don't get any error messages or anything. My husband has another Maxtor One Touch III hooked up to his laptop and it works fine. I tried hooking my Maxtor to his laptop and it does the same thing...it turns on but and that is it (It does not show up as being connected). I also exchanged the powercord and USB conncection with my husband's Maxtor cords without any changes. I have all my music and photos on my Maxtor III and would like to get it back. Any help is appreciated.

My Helix (windows 8.1) is 2 years old now, It was working fine until las tnight, but when I switched on this morning, I found there is no reaction from Track point and touch pad. There was no driver update/windows update last night, and did not give any physical shock onto the Helix between last night and this morning.  Today, I tried to update track point driver from device manager, but it says my version is the latest and not necessary to update. I have absolutely no idea what cause this problem and how to solve. I have been using a USB mouse for a few weeks and touchpad has always been operational. A couple of days ago the touchpad has stopped working. No issues are raised in the device manager so that pointed me to the on/off buttons for the touchpad. But pressing the dedicated button and fn F9 have not changed anything.

Really confused but think I am missing something really obvious as I cannot think of an initiating event so assuming some magic button will bring the touch pad back to life.

Can you use the touchpad again?

From my point of view the usage or installation of external USB mouse has affected the touchpad functionality? I cannot say for sure why and what happens exactly here but I read in different forums about similar issues and sometimes the usage of USB mouse caused the touchpad problems.

For example: in my case the touchpad did not work with connected USB mouse? I was very confused but found a solution? in my case the option ?disable touchpad when USB mouse is connected? was checked and this disabled the touchpad.

A friend of mine could not use the touchpad because it was disabled in BIOS.

so i left the computer on over-night and now, i can't use touch to scroll up and down in lists / web pages any more. is there something i can re-initiate to get this to work again?

Hello, the touch keyboard always appeared for me when I used chrome but it stopped yesterday. Can I fix it somehow? I looked and I found a button in win10 menu that enables this, but it was by default in win8 and the button is not in the settings here. It used to work in Chrome but it does not now, not even in IE. It works for app store for example. Thank you.

The touch pad for my Toshiba Satellite L755 has completely stopped working and no driver is shown in device manager. I tried restoring setup to default and started in safe mode to see if the driver was recognized which it was not. Tried a couple of ALPS drivers which didn't work either. I am not sure if drivers are supposed to be ALPS or Synaptics. Can anyone help?

Hi - the touch pad on my Satellite Pro L870-18G (Windows 8) has suddenly stopped working (after less than 2 months' use) - which makes the laptop rather difficult to use. According to the device manager there is nothing wrong with the driver - but I tried to reinstall anyway (didn't help).
Do these things normally suddenly fail?

Why does the device manager say there is no problem when there quite clearly is?

Hardware = Toshiba Satellite Pro A6 Laptop (Toshiba:Link)

The mouse keys and touchpad have stopped functioning, the laptop recently was sent back to toshiba because the mobo needed replacing however they didnt fix the Touchpad/Keys should I send it back again or replace the touchpad with one from ebay eg (a samsung)

Press Windows+X.
- Select Device Manager.
- Find the Touchscreen driver under Mice and Other Pointing Devices>USB Touchscreen Controller(A111).  You're going to uninstall this and check the box that says "Delete the driver software for this device".  Don't worry, it won't blow up your computer.
- Restart your computer.
- Re-open the Device Manager, and confirm that the Touchscreen is now listed under Human Interface Devices.

I am not sure exactly at what point it happened but I recently found that the touch screen on my Elite X was not working The pen still functions fine not 1011 Elite working working/pen screen Touch X2 normally When checking the Elite X2 1011 Touch screen not working/pen working fine pen and touch settings I can only configure the pen settings and only Pen support is listed in view pen and touch settings The touch screen used to work in both the original Windows and then also after upgrading to Windows nbsp There have been no error messages and the event logs do not seem to indicate any problems it is as though the machine has just forgotten it is a touch screen nbsp I have tried reinstalling drivers reinstalling both Windows and going back to Windows to no avail I really loved this little device but ease of use is cut rather drastically without the touch functionality nbsp Has anyone else had a problem like this and have a solution Any help at all is greatly appreciated

Hey all, I woke up this morning and started using my computer to find that there were white spots on my computer screen that I had not previously noticed. I have had the computer for two years and haven't had any similar issues. There does not appear to be anything wrong with the pixels, as the color changes appropriately - it's just brighter. Furthermore, the bright spots on the screen heat up much more than the rest of the screen, which remains cool. I also noticed that, though this may be a separate issue, the touch screen isn't responding. I've had my laptop for 3 weeks and my touch screen has stopped working.  I've read all posts I can find on this and reset my computer to factory out of the box. 
Having read the posts I tried the Windows hot fix for the issue and it said it didn't apply.  I'm going crazy and ready to give up on this and return my laptop.  I would really like to fix this and move on.  I noticed in the Human Interface drives I have multiple drivers that are the same and I do not see a driver for the touch screen.

Hope that it is just drivers but what you do is to unzip the driver package into a temporary directory. When the touchscreen is working Right click on START (long press) and go to Device Manager>Human Interface Devices>HID compliant touch screen Click/touch Driver/update driver then select "Browse...on your computer, point to the temorary directory with the new driver and press NEXT. If it is a newer driver it will load it.

I bought a pavilion 23 like 2 year ago, it came with windows 8, it works perfect until the windows 10 update. i update my computer to windows 10 and the touch screen did not work, i call several times (a lot of times) to the hp call center and they told me to reverse de window 10 update because there were no driver to work with windows 10. I sent Email to suports assitant with no anwers then my coputer warranty ends i try instaling every update, but still not working. if someone could help me with this problem i would be appreciated. i would not go back to windows 8 because i do not see this as a solution to this  Greatings from colombia

I just recently purchased a XPS 27- 2720. It comes with a bluetooth mouse and keyboard (KM714), however I am unable to get them to work. Is the XPS 27 suppose to detect the mouse and keyboard via internal bluetooth sensor or is there suppose to be a USB dongle that comes with the mouse+keyboard combo? If it is the latter, my system did not come with a USB dongle to plug in and I am missing a part. If it is the former and it's suppose to connect via internal bluetooth sensor, then I am at a lost at what is wrong. All devices are switched on w/batteries installed. :(
Any help is much appreciated.

UPDATE: I was able to get the mouse and keyboard to work. Reinstalled logitech unifying receiver drivers. Removed the mouse and keyboard from the paired devices list. Restarted the pairing process, and now its working.

Check to see if the dongle is under the screen on the lower right side. You have to tilt the monitor all the way back so you can see the lower right edge. There is a small silver snap in cover use your finger nail under the right side and pop it out. Remove the dongle then reinsert it and try the keyboard and mouse. If it still doesn't work try pulling it out and use another USB port. If it works then unplug and put it back in the slot under the screen and try again.

I have the same problem too for almost two years and I found the solution just this March 20. Install the LCD Firmware in your machine. You can use this tutorial to guide you through the process. If the LCD frimware link dows not work, you can download it [unverified link removed]. It worked for me and it only took a one-time installation. I've reset my laptop to go back to Windows 8 but unfortunately, I was coerced again to update to Windows 8.1 however, it did not screw up my touchscreen.

Hi, I relly need some help here! My notebook HP ENVY x360 m6 Convertibl never worked properly. The touch screen never worked as it should. Sometimes works, sometimes (most of the times) doesnt.  I have contacted HP for suport and they did everything in order to mke work, such as format my laptop, touchscreen tests, etc... Nothing works. I have a Yoga 11e and recently installed Windows 8.1 Enterprise on the device.  After installation the touch screen was no longer functoning at all.  I have downloaded every Chipset, Mouse and Key Board, Software and Utility driver found on the Lenavo website.  When i go to the device manager under Human Interface Devices I have two yellow triangles for I2C Device and when I click on Proerties they both tell me " This device is currently waiting on another device or set of devices to start. (Code 51)". I have installed the GPIO drvier from the lenavo website as per other posting about non-functioning touch screens.  This has not repaired the problem.  I need some assistance or a driver for the touchscreen.

My touch screen is not available on my 2710.  It worked fine for a very long time.
Calibration is not available...System->About says "No pen or touch input is available for this display."
I noticed after I upgraded to Windows 10.   (but that's not necessarily the precise time is dropped out, as I don't use it a lot)
I then downgraded back to 8.   Not there.   Figured that I might as well go back to Windows 10.
I did other things within same rough period of time.   BIOS upgraded to A12.   Changed out some drivers, etc.
I've tried drivers, checked the touch cable connection on the motherboard...but haven't made a single step forward.
Would love to hear some suggestions or ideas.

From Win-X menu, open Device Manager and search for Human Interface Devices. Expand the HID list
Right-click HID-compliant touch screen and from the list of options displayed,  make sure it's set to Enabled. Then reboot.
Note that Dell hasn't tested the 2710 for support of Win 10, but touch should work in Win 8.1

Hello touch working X1 screen not Yoga people nbsp Shortly what has happened and what has X1 Yoga touch screen not working been done nbsp Machine arrived not our companys common brand Anyway Well first action was to install windows from USB stick Win Enterprise clean And plan was after that update the drivers Yes and all partitions were cleaned during the installation So no going back with those nbsp nbsp After installing everyhing Touch screen is not working I went trough the one topic that is located here on the page Found the wacom firmware update package and updated all that was inside the package Did use lenovo system update tool for updating everything imaginable there was Also bios was update nbsp At one point when I did the wacom firmware updates the PEN actually worked But at that time the touch with finger didn't work Well at that point I did continue updating and removing of devices drivers and reinstalling Well in the end I was again on the same situation that nothing on the touch screen works nbsp Has anyone else had these experiences I have started thinking that maybe there is actually some real malfunction on the touch screen Last thing I have done is I tried to install the first release of windows from usb This came to state where it asks for country localization information and when I continue from there it just reboots and takes my back to that screen So I'm in loop with that nbsp I also strated to think about ordering the recovery media for the machine but it would take time to reach me Can these recovery media's be downloaded from somewhere nbsp Thank you who ever reads and replies

I dont recall when the issue has occured, but it has been a while since my touch screen has worked. It weird because under pen and touch it states that there is no inout for pen or touch when clearly my computer's touch screen once worked. What should I do to bring the once beloved feature back? Thank you for your help!

Touch screen is not working.I already tried to reinstall driver but still the same problem. Mouse and touchpad are working. I also removed already the battery for a while and cleaned the screen.Driver version is 6.3.9600.17041 date 21/6/2006 When i check the properties of "pen and touch" i find only one tab. The toch tab.In some screenshots i found different tabs "Pen options" "flicks" "handwriting" "touch" and "panning".Is it not strange that i only have there one tab page? Is there a keyboard combination to enable or disable the touchscreen? I also checked the bios but there is nothing in there to enable or to disable the touch screen.

- Press Windows + X.
- Select Device Manager.
- Find the Touchscreen driver under Mice and Other Pointing Devices>USB Touchscreen Controller (A111).  You're going to uninstall this and check the box that says "Delete the driver software for this device".  Don't worry, it won't blow up your computer.
- Restart your computer.
- Re-open the Device Manager, and confirm that the Touchscreen is now listed under Human Interface Devices.  Your issue should be resolved!

I am unable to re-enable the touch screen on my tablet.The pen works fine on the screen but it is not registering my hand touching the screenI have checked in Device Manager and the HID-Compliant Touch Screen driver is not showing in list of drivers - not showing under hidden devices either.I have updated BIOS to latest version, updated Digitizer as well as Fingerprint Sensor with drivers from HP sitePen/Touch settings will only allow me to set up Pen configuration - Don't get the touch optionStill unable to bring back touch screen on deviceAny ideas?

Hi, Since installing Windows 10, I am unable to use any functions of the touch screen.  I had a lot of trouble with the mouse pad not deactivating with the button (as I use a plug in mouse most of the time) but I managed to sort that by uninstalling the driver and reinstalling direct from Lenovo. However, the touch screen is making me come to my wits end.  I just cannot for the life of me sort it.  Windows tell me that "No Pen or Touch Input is available for this display" Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

I've looked through previous topics and there don't seem to be any from the past few months on this topic. In short, the touch screen is completely unresponsive. I've checked the device and it is enabled. Any thoughts on how to troubleshoot this? I've had the laptop for three days, and this the first time I've tried to use it, if that matters.

Hi, i have my I-pod of samsung with model number YP-P3JCS/EDC 8 GB. I got the problem in my touch screen. some portion of the screen does not works but some portion will works. Actually, i want to know how this problem can be sort out. Is it due to virus or something else???? Can it be recovered??? help me in this matter.

Just got this new B50-30 AIO a few days ago.  Ive set it up and then ran the upgrade to Win 10.  I now find that the touch screen does not work.  Unfortunately I dont know whether it worked before the upgrade.  What I see is that device manager does not list an 'HID Compliant Touch Screen'  in Human Interface devices.  My other AIO does list this type of device (and its touch screen works fine).  So it seems that Win 10 is not recognizing the touch screen and thus not loading the device driver.  Suggestions??

I was able to fix this...  The solution was to reinstall the Display driver.  Once I reinstalled it,  an entry for HID Compliant Touch Screen appeared in Device Manager Human Interface Devices and Touch Screen now worked fine. 1) Open device manager2) Open Monitor entry3) Select PnP Monitor4) right click Generic PnP Monitor and select Update Driver5) Select Browse my computer for driver SW6) select Let Me Pick7) Select Next and go thru the install (dont recall if there were any more input required) It should then work...

I upgraded my PC from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10.  Since upgrading the Touch Screen / Screen functions are no longer available or working.   I checking windows itself  there is no Pen or touch input available for this display?Please Help

Our Yoga has totally and completely stopped responding to touchscreen inputs. Completely out of the blue, no warning signs. Don't know if it was recently after a Win10 update. No other problems with the computer. I've tried updating all HID drivers through Device Manager with no success either. Any suggestions for what to check before we call it a hardware failure and try to either replace the screen or the laptop?

I have a POS system with a DigiPos 714A Touchscreen monitor and I don't know where or what drivers to install to use the touch screen. I cant find anywhere online whether I need a single touch driver, multi touch, or whatever other type. The POS system is running on a windows PC running Windows XP 32-bit and the screen has a ps/2 port and of course the usual VGA connectors. Help needed as screen is used for a business.

Hello, I recently upgraded the mechanical hard drive that came with my Yoga 11E to an ssd. I ran Lenovo system update and then Windows Update. But the touchscreen is not working. Under device manager there are a few exclamation points. Under Human Interface Devices there are 2 entries for I2C HID both have a warning. I tried to update them but it says they driver is update and the exclamation point remains. I am not sure if this is the reason why my touch screen is not working but any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. thanks

I am having the same problem. After reimaging, touch screen is not responding. I too checked device manager and found there are 2 human interface device drivers with exclamation points, named I2c HID. A search found Intel device drivers on Lenovo support site and  I downloaded and installed the drivers (n15hc03w.exe). The status of the drivers on device manager did not change. I tried to update these drivers and pointed to the local folder drivers\win\I2C onbut got a message saying "drivers for device are up to date' . Tried 'scan for hardware' still no change to these Human Interface Device. Any ideas?

Hi, I have recently (Dec 2015) purchased a Yoga 11e. The touch screen function has stopped working. Both Windows 10 and Lenovo Support apps say that all updates are in place. I suspect that a Windows update (~31 Jan 2016) might be the fault - could be wrong. Any ideas? Thanks. ps: I tad annoying the the "worlds biggest computer company" (or similar publicity claim) does not have a 24/7 web chat support function

I had the same problem.  After performing a clean-install of Windows 10 Pro (Did not like all that blotware that Lenovo puts in these systems) and "thinking" that I had installed all drivers, I found that touchscreen did not work.  I solved it by RE-installing the i2c drivers (downloaded from Yoga 11e support page).  It was confusing because there was nothing in Device Manager that indicated any drivers were missing, plus when I ran the .exe file for the i2c drivers all it did was "extract" the files, but it did not install anything!So here is how I went about it:  Opened device manager, clicked on "system devices" to locate the i2c device.  I looked for anything with "i2c" in it, and saw 2 entries: "Intel Atom Celeron Pentium Processor............i2c........[etc, etc]".  I went ahead and manually installed the drivers: right-clicked the item, clidked "update driver software", clidked "browse my computer for driver software", and navigated to where the driver files had been extracted to-as explained above.  After the drivers were installed successfully, the names of the devices changed to "i2c controller".  Rebooted the computer and VOILA! The touch screen worked again! Opened "control panel", "system" and there it said: "Touch Support With 10 Touch Points"

My X1 Yoga's touch screen is not being detected by Windows. I tried running the Wacom firmware update tools suggested by other threads but they don't work -- the log file just says "No device". Neither finger touch nor pen work at all. I updated the bios and system interface foundation, didn't help. See attached picture for device manager. Any suggestions? Thanks!

I got my Lenovo Edge  15 back earlier this year from service (hard drive fixed) but when it was returned to me the touch screen no longer worked. There is no touch screen driver visible on the device manager either, nothing labled touch screen or anything similair, is there a way to re-isntall the touchscreen? This laptop was a 2 in one, tablet/laptop and used to be touch screen compatible / usable now it doesn't seem to work that way at all.

After a recent mandatory update the touch screen on my Envy started working oddly. When I select an item using touch it appears to "rick-click" the item instead of "left-clicking." This means that I cannot use touch to scroll or basically browse in any way.  This problem is occurs in all modes (tablet, etc.) and restarting has not fixed the problem.  Any help would be appreciated.
