I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/directdownload.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

i have 3 2720's where the nvidia graphics card's driver disappeared
all machines have windows 8.1 installed and i think it's happened during windows was updating but have no idea which update is responsible, this has not happened with most machines
The intel 4600 driver still shows but the nvidia has completely disappeared and is not even showing as a malfunctioning driver
the driver did install initially and the geforce experience is showing.
all drivers came from the dell website and it was working during the initial install
I know this must be a common issue as i have had it with 3 different machines so someone should know a way round it. my suspison is that a windows update killed it due to a compatibility issue but i do not know which it would be.
many thanks in advance

Hi,
The easiest way around this is by running a System Restore. Has that been tried?
You can also try installing the driver again and check if it gets populated in the Device Manager

A:Can't upgrade NVIDIA GeForce 310M display driver on Acer Aspire 5745PG

This isn't an uncommon problem with laptop graphics, some OEM's choose to not allow the generic nVidia drivers to be compatible. Not sure why the Acer driver fails though.

Try the modded drivers found here: http://forums.laptopvideo2go.com/topic/29406-v30132-windows-7vista-64bit-nvidia/
You need both the driver and the modded INF, and be sure to read the instructions: http://forums.laptopvideo2go.com/topic/9243-forceware-updaters-quickstart-guide/

P.S. Welcome to Acer products; sales first, customer satisfaction.....well sales first.

You have written that you uninstalled and installed the drivers but WAS it a clean install?

1) Go to Control Panel >> Device Manager >> Display
2) Right click and Uninstall Nvidia GPU
3) Go to Control Panel >> Programs & Features,  Uninstall everything related to NVIDIA
4) Restart
5) Let the system recognize and install the drivers automatically.
6) Now, check in the location mentioned in Step 1.

If it doesn't work,
You can try a laptop reset by pressing the NOVO button.
Make sure to take a backup (on external drive) of your personal files like songs, videos coz they will be deleted.

I have had to recently reinstall Windows Vista onto my laptop. In the Device Manager\Display Adapters all it says is 'Standard VGA Graphics Adapter' I know for a fact that my video card is Nvidia GeForce 8400M GS TurboCache, but when I install the driver for this I get a BSOD error. I tried the automatic search on nvidia.com/drivers and installed the driver that came up, the same happened. Is there a way to have Windows recognize my video card as the one stated above?

Hey there everyone. I was attempting to install the display driver when I received this error message from Windows Update: "WindowsUpdate_80070006" "WindowsUpdate_dt000"

I searched Google and only found 7 results with no solutions. I attempted to get the drivers from the nVidia website and it informed me that I needed to get the drivers from my computer's manufacturer (HP)-so I went there. The only thing offered on my particular notebook's support page was an update for the Wireless Assistant.

Has anyone else encountered an error when installing nVidia drivers on their laptop or received that particular error from Windows Update?

Thanks

The final BIOS for dv9200 series is F2D, it has been almost 2 years HP not updating the BIOS for this model.F3D is more model shipped with AMD processor. Many of dv9000 owners that have geforce 7600 have to let their notebook rest in piece due to Nvidia issue. If you have a working notebook, than I'm suggesting not to force it run too much, just use HP drivers and take extra caution with the temperature fluctuation. Download Hwmonitor to check the temp, hereIdle temp for GPU around 60C, check yours. Use it always with external cooling pad and never ever play serious game in it.

when I turn on my TV (connected VGA), My primary monitor (Connected DVI) loses it's display and makes the sound when a PNP device is added/removed. The monitor then shows that the monitor is searching between an analogue and a digital signal. The TV and Montior are plugged in at all times.

My graphics card is a NVIDIA GeForce GT 320, and has VGA, DVI and an HDMI port. My TV has a DVI, VGA, and HDMI port, and Primary monitor only has a DVI port. My primary monitor is NOT PNP.

I've updates my drivers for both the TV and the monitor, but the issue still occurs.
I've read several tech support forums saying that the issue is with windows 7's automatic monitor detection, but only about situations when a display is disconnected. I've contacted NVIDIA about the issue, but all they did was get me to update my drivers.

What should I do to fix my issue?

A:Nvidia GeForce FX 5500 Windows 7 32-bit driver?

Card may be compatible, but Nvidia dropped support for the FX series a long time ago. Best you're going to get,

ForceWare Release 95

may have to use compatibility mode to get it to install.

Hello Overson, welcome to the forum

Windows update does not necessarily install the newest drivers . If you are having no problems with the driver 266.58 then I would stay with that one

I'm not a gamer, but rather an enthusiastic net surfer and would like my present graphics card to be as fast as easily possible. To do this, it has been suggested that I update my card's driver with downloading/installing Nvidia's latest driver (285.62 WHQL, Win7 64-bit...4G RAM, Firefox 9). Would this be the the right thing to do?

Is the 330m removable or replaceable? If so where can i buy one or can I upgrade to a more powerful discreet gpu? If it is on the motherboard why wouldn't mine be showing up? Thanks!

A:I'm not seeing my Nvidia Geforce 330m listed in my Vostro 3700 Bios or Windows Display Adapters Menus

It isn't a separate card.  The system was sold with Intel-only boards (most of them) or optional nVidia GPUs (high end models/upgrade at purchase).
If your system is Intel-only and you want the upgrade, you'll need at least two things:
1.  A replacement system board with the nVidia GPU
2.  A new heatsink assembly (the Intel heatsink won't work with the nVidia GPU and vice-versa).
You will also need to check your power adapter - if it's 65W, you'll need to replace it with a 90W or higher capacity power adapter.
Note that these systems used the generation of nVidia GPU that were known for premature failure - you may be able to find a survivor but they'll be thin on the ground at this point and may not be a wise investment given the high rate of failure.

I updated my Nvidia and Intel drivers yesterday (the Intel ones to one in Windows Update, Nvidia from the Geforce Experience program), and now sometimes when I run a program that uses the Nvidia driver, I sometimes get a BSOD.

I've tried re-installing the Nvidia drivers (a clean install), which hasn't helped.

Here's the dump files thing.

Seems like the NVIDIA Driver (Which inturn causing Direct X to mess up) is messing up.

I see that you are using a LAPTOP. Regarding Video Drivers, in case of laptops, it is strongly recommended to use the drivers provided by the OEM of the laptop since they tweak the drivers so that it could work with the Graphics Switching. Graphics Switching is utilized by the OEM's to provide performance when required (Use your NVIDIA GPU to do tasks like playing Video Games) and provide battery life when the NVIDIA GPU is not being used (Use the Intel GPU to show the desktop).

So, I would suggest you to remove the currently installed NVIDIA Drivers using the Display Driver Uninstaller from this **LINK**. Once you have uninstalled the NVIDIA Driver, reboot the system. Once the system boots up, uninstall the Intel Graphics Drivers using the "Uninstall or Change a Program" which is visible in the ribbon when Computer is opened up.
Now, download and install the below drivers (Directly from Dell Support Website) -

NVIDIA Driver - http://downloads.dell.com/FOLDER0237...3.3165_A03.EXE
Intel Driver - http://downloads.dell.com/FOLDER0218...0.3574_A03.EXE
Let me know how everything goes ^_^

Help, Just put this system together, everything seems to work great, Supermicro server board with 2 3.2 gig dual core Xeon cpu, 8 gig ram NVIDA gforce 8400 gs 512 meg dual display. system gives me no trouble at all. regardless of how many tasks and windows open , but if i open windows live mail and try to send a reply or open and email with graphics screen goes black almost instantly, flickers than in a few seconds will give me BSOD saying attempt to reset the display driver and recover from a time out failed and dumps mem and reboots. have tried everything I can think of short of a video card. Have a new video card on the way, 64 bit ATI 2 gig PCI-X 1 will see if this fixes the problem. will post with results.

I've been having some issues with the Nvidia card not working, in the device manager it appears as a error code 43. I'm running a Thinkpad Yoga 15 -Intel i7-5500uNvidia 840mI found a solution on this forum for fixing this with a different laptop, all i need to try their fix is the intel drivers and the NVIDIA Optimus drivers. Whenever i click download on http://support.lenovo.com/gb/en/products/Laptops-and-netbooks/ThinkPad-Yoga-Series-laptops/ThinkPad-... it doesnt download and brings up an error, i cant fix my error code 43 without Optimus drivers for this laptop, but they dont appear to download. So yesterday I thought it would be a good Nvidia Driver GTX 260 Fail idea to go through my devices and make sure all their drivers were up to date It was going so well until I got to my graphics card I tried to install from the nVidia website by using the standard procedure uninstall current drivers then install new ones Unfortunately when I tried to install the new drivers I got the dreaded quot System has not been modified quot message So I read a Nvidia GTX 260 Driver Fail couple of threads on sites such as this and decided to use the driversweeper software in safemode to completely get rid of the old drivers Reboot Install new drivers Still didn't work It's at this point I notice that in device manager my graphics card is now listed as quot Unknown Devce quot The hardware situation has not changed i e I haven't ever opened it up to fiddle about with Vista Home Premium x As a little aside even system restore won't succesfully complete Any help would be greatly appreciated at this point Thanks

Hello all, I'm having some issues with my MX/MX400 Card. The Display setting won't go beyond {4bit}. After I click on Apply it changes but then when I click on OK, it either does not change (stays at 4bit) or the Blue screen flashes and the computer reboots.

The monitor is set to plug and play, all the drivers are updated and all of my Window updates a done.

Thanks!

My Dell Inspiron 530 with Vista has a, NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT Display adaptor. I assume that's the card that the monitor connects to. I just started to had a Black screen condition, I tried removing the power cord and PC cord, but to no avail. I saw it has 2 (two) monitor connections on the back of the PC, for running 2 monitors simultaneously, I plugged the monitor into the other connector and it's now working. Do I have a potentially failing card or is it a driver situation. Obviously, I'm just out of warrantee. Help is apprciated, thank you.

it may not be the driver it might be something conflicting with it causing the NV4 disp to fault its often the case , however the best course of action is a reinstall , but for now stay away from the 19 set of NV drivers

get these NVIDIA DRIVERS 186.18 WHQL

download and install this Guru3D - Driver Sweeper and read the instructions carefully

uninstall your drivers in control panel , reboot into safemode then run and use driver sweeper (in safemode) then reboot and install your newly downloaded drivers reboot again and test

let us know how you get on

Literally overnight, my display took on a blue-ish tint. This occurs on both my HDTV and samsung flatscreen monitor. I typically move the cable between the two. I did not make a swap before the problem occurred. I have installed the latest driver from NVIDIA and also run a virus scan with ESET. All settings in the NVIDIA control panel seem appropriate. The screen has this tint from startup. I think I need to replace my video card. Any ideas?

A:how to change my display adapter to nVidia GeForce 8600

Can I just ask as it is a little unclear, do you actually have an Nvidia 8600 Graphics card fitted in your PC?

It looks in the screenshot that you have a laptop not a Desktop PC as it is showing a power cable unplugged icon?

You can't just change the display adapter to an Nvidia 8600, the Nvidia 8600 is a specific dedicated graphics card for desktop PC's.

Hello hello.

I getting on the brinck of crying here. ."

I have a brand new build computer and had the Windows RC installed when i started to get BSOD / nvlddmkm.sys

I have sense installed a genuine Win7 after a lovely reminder from Microsoft.
With the new install i don't get a BSOD, but i do get the "Display Driver Nvidia Windows Kernel Mode Driver Version xxx.xxx (what ever version of Nvidia driver u have installed) stopped responding and has successfully recovered."

It only happens in games, and i have tried a lot of stuff to get it to work so i can have fun with the new gear. But just can't get a solution. Anyone here who has a experience with this problem and know possible solutions?

I have monitored the TEMP of the GPU but it does not matter if the temp is 55 or 70 c when it crashes.

A:Looking for Nvidia Geforce 6600 gt driver

You will find it on the nVidia website... sometimes, if older, it will be part of a combination driver download that works with several different models of the NVidia cards...
Is it possible that your NVidia card has reached the end of its useful product life... or the fan has gone bad?

Hi,
I have this video card: Nvidia GeForce GT 630
It happens occasionally that the driver get a crash error (often it happens when I resume the PC from standby/sleep).

Screenshots:
http://s3.postimg.org/u7yuu33hv/Appunti01.png
http://s4.postimg.org/zf3mdbcrh/Appunti02.png

In English, should be:
Display Driver NVIDIA Windows Kernel Mode Driver, Version 320.57 stopped responding and has successfully recovered

I have already tried to install various versions of Nvidia drivers, but without results. During the setup I choose to only install the video driver and PhysX.

The strange thing is that with other OS does not happen this error (for example, in Windows 10)... instead using Windows 7 appears often (several times a day).

How can I fix the problem?

Thanks in advance. Regards.

Hi all

I have a Samsung RF511 (detailed specs at Specs - Notebooks NP-RF511 | Samsung Laptops) (<1year old) PC running OEM 64bit Win 7, and it has been running fine, except for 2 instances of BSOD. Both these times, the Nvidia GeFORCE got disabled automatically. I am not sure what caused it, but I am uploading both the mini-dump files, performance data, and the BSOD software analysis files. I have Nvidia Optimus GeFORCE gt 630m, and Intel HD Graphics card both on my PC. Please help!!!

Thanks a lot guys.

Hello,

I purchased a Compaq V6205NR laptop that came with Vista. I tried it, didn't like it, and then installed XP Pro. I have everything working except for the video card. The video card is a nVIDIA GeForce Go 6150 (integrated laptop).

Does anyone know what driver I could use?

I've downloaded and tried to install many, but I haven't been able to get it working.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Sam

Yeah

Give this one a try.

http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_2k_81.85.html

Its funny that I didnt see it on the compaq support page for your mobo model, the one I suggested says it supports that GPU.

However you may need to find a platform driver which has the chipset/graphics driver in one. Can you read the box or manual and tell me what it has for a chipset ?

If it is the nforce 430 by any chance then your going to have to find a aftermarket driver for it as it only has support for vista via nvidia downloads.

Hello,I have a big problem with my Nvidia GeForce graphic driver. It all started after full HDD format and installation of Windows 8.1 on my Asus laptop (with integrated and nvidia card). Driver seemed to work fine but i couldn't open Nvidia Control Panel, therefore I was unable to start any application with Nvidia GPU. Then I noticed something else. In Device Manager the card was shut down because of Code43 error. I've tried everything I could find online to fix it:-Reinstallation-Older Driver Installation-Installation via GeForce Experience-Uninstalling from device manager-Display Driver Uninstaller and then clean installation-Some it-shamanism I've found-Finally upgrade to Windows 10-Then again all the stepsAnd yet nothing has worked. It goes on for so long that I'm beginning to be desperate to find solution. It keeps me from gaming and working with programs such as Inventor. If anyone knows how to deal with this problem, please help me.

When attempting to upgrade from Vista Home Premium (32bit) to Vista Ultimate (32bit) can an upgrade error - upgrade fails. The Vista Upgrade advisor tells me that the NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT will not work in Windows Vista:-

"This device will not work in Windows Vista. For more information, please go to the device manufacturer's website, Windows Marketplace, or contact your retailer."

How can I proceed to upgrade to Windows Vista Ultimate?

Is this just a Vista Ultimate upgrade issue or is this display adapter truly not supported on Vista (even though I have a HP Pavilion laptop with one installed running Vista Home Premium).

A:Problems with my Nvidia Geforce Driver G102M

Hi MariusJ, Welcome to Seven Forums.
Go to Nvidia D/L page using IE. D/L both Graphics & Display drivers using the auto find feature. Go to Programs and Features and uninstall ALL Nvidia. Reboot. First, install the Graphics drivers but untick option for Display drivers. Reboot again. Now install Display drivers. If offered updates from Windows Update, ignore them, MS only give Digitally Signed ones and are usually older than the latest ones from Nvidia.
Install as shown in my image, with your FW & AV disabled.

You have in post #1 stated the 335.23 works well on your system.

I'm not understanding why you are try to update the driver when you are having no problems with 335.23.

Just because their are new drivers doesn't mean you need them.
Seems you have already proven that.

You say you don't want to do another install. That's good.
Just use the nVidia driver that has been working 335.23 and leave well enough alone.

If you still have a urge to update the drivers read this tutorial by essenbe.

Hello, why I can't update my Nvidia GeForce GT630M driver?
I using Window 7 Home Premium Service pack 1, downloaded latest update installer from nvidia official website.

A:I cannot update my Nvidia GeForce GT630M driver

Just personally speaking, I think you will gain more information by providing a little bit more of your own! When you say that "you can't update your Nvidia driver or drivers", what does that mean? At which point in this process do things go south? Are you using a means of manual installation or are you utilizing Nvidia's auto detect feature? Does the update at least start to begin processing the information into your system, then gets hung up some where? Will the file not even begin the installation process at all?

Maybe hunting down a driver from some where else other than the Nvidia web site may work for you! It's rare, but sometimes reported, that people's anti-virus programs can sometimes undermine this process. Next time you try to do this, do so without your virus protector on, temp disable it and try again.

I have a "GeForce FX 5200 Ultra".
My problem is two fold.....

First: a "blurry" screen at first "cold" boot..... Looks all pixelated, (like blurry), but only at a first boot. If say the comp has been off for several hours or over night..... wait for about 5 min and reboot all is fine, just annoying to reboot is all.

Second: Major issue.... I want to update my drivers, BUT, when I go to newer drivers my graphically intense games seem to "studder" or "skip".

I have driver version 4.3.5.1 the newest I just tried is 6.1.7.7 also tried 5.6.6.4 and 5.3.0.3 <---same results ,fixes the boot thing (see above) but the games suffer.
I gave "Need for Speed Underground" a test and it would "skip/ jump", very quickly, (very annoying)

It is a Nvidia GeForce GTX 460m graphics card

I need help with what the best driver is for my 460m since the ones I have been trying out have constantly crashed my laptop so far, even the newest version listed on nvidia's website.

A:What's best driver for Nvidia GeForce 460m graphics?

I believe the best driver you can use for your graphic card is the one you get from Nvidia?s home page itself. At their site it helps you to either automatically find the right driver for your card, or by manually searching the driver for your card. Usually the beta drivers cause problems, such as crash as they are not completely finished, and its best to wait until they are completely developed.

Ok. I just checked the HP drivers support page for my Laptop and they just posted the latest driver for Nvidia Geforce 820m. If anyone reading this has the same issue, go download the new pack posted on Oct 13, 2015. Thank you all for helping me resolve this issue.

I have looked through the web searching for solutions for my horrible graphic card driver for quite a while now. The problems with it is when I start up my PC, my screen will turn black and then function. But it will keep again and again until my computer enters BSOD . Some suggested that you turn up the amount of electricity going to your graphic card, back date it, and much more too. I tried quite a few pf them already but sadly I couldn't do it or it just doesn't work. Currently, my Nvidia's version is 8.17.11.9646. I would like a solution that's really simple but at the same time able to solve this problem. Thanks!

A:Nvidia GeForce 210 Series Driver Problems.

I'm running a GT220 in my desktop PC, its a PCIe card using the Nvidia 320.49 drivers in Windows 7 64 bit. No problems that I am aware off.
I got them from Nvidia, Drivers - Download NVIDIA Drivers

I'd like to know what the latest driver is for my graphics card. W7 has offered an update for it including loads of other stuff but it screwed up my display so I rolled back to the previous version, driver 7.15.11.7620 dated 19 July 2008, which is what I'm using now. Any help appreciated.

NVIDIA GeForce 7600 GS

I must tell everyone that I successfully installed an “optional” Windows Update on 08/14/07 entitled “NVIDIA Driver Update for NVIDIA GeForce 7600 GS” and it made quite a difference to my Television viewing through the Windows Media Center. The colors are much more alive and I’m very pleased. I’m sure it improved the overall performance of my graphics, monitor etc.

Anyone using this particular graphics card SHOULD consider this update.

Whenever I try to play Smite by HiRez Studios, I sometimes get a bluescreen error. It says the cause of the problem is my NVIDIA Geforce driver called "nvkflt". I have attached the .zip file. I don't know how I can fix this problem. Thanks in advance for any help/advice you may have for me.

A:BSOD caused by NVIDIA GeForce driver

It may not be the driver issue only, but as you are having this thought, let us try to have a closer look.

Uninstall your installed display driver using DDU.

Then download the driver 347.09 WHQL ....
Follow NVIDIA Drivers - Avoid Problems to install the driver.

Let us know for any further BSOD. More troubleshooting may be needed depending to the situation.

I've downloaded the driver from herehttp://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-14-Notebook-PC-series/7486429/model/7583939 In the installation process, it stopped while saying that it's corrupted. I've downloaded again in linux and compare the md5sum. It's equal. Then i try to installed it again, yet it saying it's corrupted. So i'm sure that it is corrupted from the beginning. Then i'm googling and found similar case:http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Video-Display-and-Touch/Nvidia-Geforce-Driver-sp72727-is-corru... It's already solved for Oct 13, 2015 version. When i look from the download information it is Apr 17, 2016. It seems the error emerge again. Please help?

A:Nvidia Geforce Driver (sp72727) is corrupted (again)

Hi @pinkwither, Welcome to the HP Forums!  I have read about your HP 14-r201tx Notebook and the Graphics Drivers not installing correctly. I recommend you roll back the drivers that are listed in your Device Manager. This will take it back to when it was working correctly. Please let me know how this goes. To express appreciation for my post please click the Thumbs up icon. Thanks.

I have an HP Pavillion zd7000 laptop (winXP) that has a Nvidia Geforce Fx Go5700 gpu. I would like to update the drivers for my gpu because Im having troubles with a game Im playing and I suspect that its the driver that needs updating.

Well, I went to nvidia.com and downloaded the drivers but when I start the setup i get the following error:

The NVIDIA Setup program could not locate any drivers that are compatible with your current hardware. Setup will now exit.

I thought I might have downloaded the wrong version of the driver, so i went back to the website and tried other drivers from the software download page. I tried:

1. Geforce Go 7800 GTX for winXP
and
2. Geforce and TNT for winXP

I get the same error from both.

How can I update the driver for my video card? What am I doing wrong?

Thanks
