I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/directdownload.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

A: Libretto W100-D10 - Change OS language from Italian to English

Hi

As far as I know the Win 7 Home Premium was preinstalled on this notebook.
The OS language cannot be changed in Home Premium version.
Only the Enterprise and Ultimate editions support the Multilanguage pack.

So wither you would install a English version of the Win 7 Home Edition on your W100 or you would upgrade the Home Premium to Enterprise or Ultimate version and then you would install the English language pack

Hi
I bought the german version of the Libretto w100 (10D) to get a 3G-sim slot. Despite what the seller told me, it is not possible to switch from german to english interface. I have since bought an upgrade (Windows Anytime) from Win7 Home to Win 7 Ultimate, to get additional language support. I now got english in (most) system menues, but the Toshiba specific applications still use german, even though I have removed/reinstalled and choosen english language during the installation process. Any suggestions on how to solve this?

And no, I don't understand german language...

A:Libretto W100 - Switching language from German to English

This being the european forum, I doubt you will find the answer here. Any drivers you download from here will probably be in german, since it automatically recognizes that you are in Germany.

Go to the american support forum:
http://forums.toshiba.com/t5/Laptops/ct-p/c_laptops

Libretto is at the bottom of the page, ask if someone can download the english drivers and share them over megaupload or something.

Hope this helps.

This may be a bit hard to do, since everything is in Italian, so I've included a few screenshots:

Windows Vista MUIs provide a translated version of most of the user interface. MUIs require a license to be used and are only available with Windows Vista Ultimate and Windows Vista Enterprise.

1. Go to the Microsoft Local Language" website (Unlimited Potential - Programs / Local Language Program) , and download the language you want, which in this case would be English.

2. Open "Control Panel"

3. Under "Clock, Language, and Region", click "Change display language":

4. In the "Regional and Language Options" window, click "Install/uninstall languages..." (you will need to respond to a UAC prompt):

6. Click "Remove Languages":

7. If you have both English AND Italian listed, select Italian, then click Next. If you only have Italian listed, click the Back button then proced to step 8 below.

8. Click "Install Languages":

9. Browse for the folder containing the language pack you downloaded in 1)

I hope that helped somewhat

Hi

I?d like to know if is there anything that explain me if possible use a pen in W100 like smart phone or if is there an apply regulation to work properly or if is there any pen good for this SCREEN DEVICE ?

THANKS !

A:Can I use pen with Libretto W100?

Unfortunately I didn?t found any info on Toshiba web sites but theoretically you can use pen with your Libretto.
I had this device several times in my hands and don?t think you need some special pen. In my opinion it should be the same you use with other similar devices.

As far as I know this device is not designed and delivered with pen so Toshiba doesn?t offer any kind of application for calibration or pen regulation.

Hi everybody, I'd like what do you think about installing Window 8 on a Libretto W100 10d.

This device isn't in Toshiba compatibility list but.....even if I tried Windows 8 on another pc and I really didn't like it (it tries copying tablets in the worst way I've ever seen),

I really can't think it cannot run on a Libretto! What do you think?
Thank you

A:Windows 8 on a Libretto W100-10d

Does the W100 meet the minimum specifications of Win8?
Check the CPU and screen resolution. win8 needs at least 1024x768 pixels

If you can actually install it, I would imagine it will be difficult getting the second screen and touch surface working properly, amongst other issues.

Does anyone know if this is possible? To be clear I am not talking about display language or input language as there are many posts about this.

Currently my settings are as I want them:

Display language : English
Input language : English (United States) - French
Format : English (United Kingdom)
Location : France

I did a clean install from USB (upgrade from OEM Win 7 Ultimate). My language was reset to French - probably as the original Win 7 machine was bought in France. I have changed the input/display to English but whenever I install software (today GoogleDrive, Dropbox, Lenovo drivers) the language picked up is the system language.

Is it possible to change this?

Hi,

I've Googled this problem but am getting conflicting views on how to solve this problem. I bought a laptop in Paraguay, with Windows 7 Pro pre-installed. I thought this would be handy and it was cheap as chips so bought it. Little did I know changing the language from Spanish to English would be such a chore. Is there a simple trick I'm missing?

I can get by but it would be so much easier to have it all in English. For instance, I just tried to put my camera's SD card in to the slot and it came up with an error message that I couldn't even read!

I don't have the Windows 7 installation disks...

Thanks in advance.

A:Need to change language from Spanish to English

Welcome to Windows Seven Forums.

Your easiest way round your problem would be a Windows Anytime Upgrade from Windows 7 Professional to Windows 7 Ultimate, which would give you access to 34 language packs via Windows Updates.

http://emea.microsoftstore.com/UK/en...nytime-Upgrade

Obviously, you'll need to choose your region before you make your purchase, but all it involves is buying a new product key, which is then e-mailed to you.

Then it's Start>All Programs>Windows Anytime Upgrade and follow the instructions to enter your new product key.

Wait half-an-hour or so and it's job done.

Hi,

I tried to enter "diacrite characters", for example é ë, ú, etc.

But I didn't succeed. Was this forgotten or is there a feature I'm missing. Entering could either be with special codes, like on Windows XP, 2000, etc. with the control-' followed by a letter), or by using an ALT-number (the old-fashioned way). But neither works.

Did anyone do this? And how?

I'm loving my Libretto w100.
I've upgraded it to 256Gb.

Now there should be an upgrade to Haswell.

This would resolve 2 main criticisms:

- duration of the battery
- noise because of the heating.

Hi everyone,

I've just bought me a Libretto W100 and it's as a dream by far.

I have a question that I can't find the solution on this forum so far.

Is it possible to leave one of the screen on/off itself (Only turn on when touching it)

For example, when reading a document the second screen will be dimmed first and after that it will be turned off. However, when touching the first screen the second screen will be turned on. I would like to leave the second screen off (or the first screen) while only using the another one.

Hope that there are some people being excited to Libretto W100.

Cheers,
Khoa

As far as I know you can just switch between the screens by just tapping the extended function button on the top of the application window.

You can switch between the dual full screen mode (two screens as one large screen) and the single mode (two screens as separate windows) by using ?active window dual?

And you can switch active window between active window right, left, bottom or top and ?ActiveWindowDual?

Hi,

my new Toshiba libretto W100 is still very hot and the fan is always running.
Even with programs that use few resources.
If I use programs like Trackmania or Fifa 11, the temperature increases further and the fan runs very quickly and loudly.

Is this normal? can I reduce the temperature and noise?
Thanks. Best regards.

A:Toshiba Libretto W100 is hot and fan is always running

Hi

I think you are using hard performance applications which stress the CPU a lot.
This causes higher heat dissipation and therefore the temperature goes to a higher level and therefore the cooling modules run faster.

So in my opinion everything is ok here; it?s nothing unusual in the computer world; warm air needs to be removed and therefore the fans run at higher speed.

I think the fans don?t run faster if you use low performance applications. Right?

Hi,

I have lots of cursor problems on a new Libretto W100. Using the cursos field on the display it move it in exactly the opposite direction on the top screen. So I go to the right-below, the cursor moves in left-up direction. The only way I found to stop this problem is a complete reboot. And then it works OK, but when I close the lid and leave it alone for for example two hours, come and activate it the problem reappears. I especially not even touching the screen(s) to avoid confusing the machine. But I can consistently reproduce it.

Very annoying. Any one seen this and/or has a solution?

A friend of mine owns the same Libretto Model - he has the same problem...

but the page does not accept my serial number (device is not from the Toshiba Europe Region or to old..).

So my question is: What can I do? I know how the set it up with a clean Windows Installation, but I experienced (with the Libretto of my friend) that some Things don't work properly... That's why I want the original OEM Installation from the recovery.

I hope, that someone can help me..

I can't find files or patches to change the language in the Internet Explorer 7 from english to german... is ist possible to change the language at all?

Thanks for your help!

If IE7 is like IE6, the answer is you cannot, just for this one application.

The only language related options is via:

AZERTY keyboard layout (not qwerty)

Everything is in french Text icons, properties etc. Making this very difficult to debug.

How do I get the displayed text to show in english?
I've played around with the Regional settings - Language and keyboard settings but it does not want to display english for me...

Basic question: If this was a French Windows Win XP OS install can I ever see the text in english??

Hi,

Hi,

I experienced in the last weeks that the nice new Libretto W100 is very battery hungry. Of course it will use some because it has a lot to power.

For example: taking notes during a meeting, 1.5 pages (A4 size, font 12), approxim. 50% of the time the screen on, running of course in Eco mode, does kill 74% of the content of the battery.

Apparantly they didn't really size down Windows 7 to fit better in the mobile world. It can not have been the designers intention to have to carry around this big power supply all the time.

Does anyone have similar (or other) numbers?

Regards,
Wim.

Now the question: did you install the essential Toshiba software?

On the Toshiba EU driver page you can find drivers and tools for Libretto W100.

If you would use the preinstalled system, this button should be available.

I don?t have this device but I read here in the forum that that you can just switch between the screens by just tapping the extended function button on the top of the application window.

You can switch between the dual full screen mode (two screens as one large screen) and the single mode (two screens as separate windows) by using ?active window dual?

We have just bought the new Libretto W100 with double touch-screen panel, but we don't feel very well with "sensibility" of the "touch": sometimes we touch the screen and nothing happens, but if we touch lightly stronger it works as "double click" or "triple click".

We already tried to calibrate the panel as indicated in the manual, but the final behavior didn't change.

Please, may someone tell us if and how is possible to set the "sensibility" of both the touch panels?

Thanks

As far as I know it?s not possible to change the display sensitivity.
The point is that this is a real TOUCH SCREEN and not a capacitive screen like supported by for example Iphone.

>1. Is there any way at all I can upgrade the machine to have the 3G module sold in the W100-10D on the continent (Italy and Germany only I think) ?

Well, possibly you could do that since the 3G module is an miniPCI removable part.
As far as I know the W100-10H was equipped with such module
I found one compatible 3G F3607gw module part number: P000531030

>2. The U5400 is a Core i3 derivative CPU with x64 instruction support. Will the libretto W100 run Windows 7 64-bit?

According to the Intel Ark page the CPU support the 64bit instruction set so Win 64bit should work

I think this can be answered by Toshiba only and not by community members.
But I think you should wait for Win 8 release and should check if the drivers would be available for this unit

First you have to install this: (Choose English in the drop down menu) http://www.microsoft.com/industry/pu...e/default.aspx

which is an LIP.

Then go to control panel, click on regional and language options. Then click on the keyboards and languages tab. On that there should be a list of display languages that you can install or something saying install display language. Choose English and install it. Then choose English on the Display Language menu. Hit ok and restart if necessary.

I hope that helps. :)

Hello,

I have just reinstalled the software on my Libretto W100-10D, starting the recovery procedure from internal HDD recovery partition.

After the procedure I have a clean new Libretto; all is working fine, except my 3G Module isn't recognized anymore: the Wireless Manager SW is not installed, and the 3G module does not appear in the Device Manager anymore!!!

It looks like the 3G module is not installed! of course before the recovery procedure it was working like a charm!

I suspect something has deactivated the 3G module (usually something similar happens in the BIOS...)

Can somebody help me to have the 3G module working back?

Many tanks and best regards

A:Libretto W100-10D - 3G Module not working after system installation

Hi

Did you check the settings within the BIOS?
To be honest I?m not quite sure if BIOS contains separate 3G on/off or Wlan option but you should definitely check it.

To access the BIOS press ESC and F1
In case the BIOS would contains 3G or Wlan option, please ensure that this is enabled.

Then visit the Toshiba EU driver page and download and install the Ericsson 3G Driver
This is the driver for 3G module.

Move the window to the TOP screenUnder Main Properties ensure everything is tickedUnder Keyboard Shortcuts set Visibility to CTRL+ALT+CAPSUnder Keyboard Shortcuts set Next Keyboard to CTRL+ALT+TABClick Set The List of Keyboards. Click Uncheck all.Tick "MiniUnispaced" then "StandardBigAlpha" then "Standard" then "TwoSides2" and click OKUnder On-Screen Keyboard ensure everything is untickedClick Advanced... then click Extended on the new windowTick only "Check any application as a web...", "Don't Move the on-screen keyboard..." and "Prevent the mouse cursor..." and click OKPress the keyboard button on the taskbar. Make sure the keyboard shows up on the bottom screen. If not: open notepad (or anything with a text cursor) on the bottom screen and press the keyboard icon againHide the Keyboard by pressing the icon again and return to the options windowUnder Position tick only "Lock". This will ensure the keyboard only ever comes up on the bottom screen, and never the top!Under Zoom ensure "Fit Width" and "Fit Height" are ticked with everything else untickedClick SaveClick the Keyboard icon to show the keyboardUnder Theme set Background Transparency to Opaque, then use the Common Transparency slider to make the keyboard to your liking. Feel free to play with other settings here.

The keyboard is now setup and should be working much like the Toshiba one did. The final step is to bind it to the Keyboard Button!
For this to work, you need to create a VBS script to send the shortcuts the program uses.
Open Notepad, and put this :
Set WshShell = WScript.CreateObject("WScript.Shell")
WshShell.SendKeys "^%{CAPSLOCK}"
Save it to C:\TOSHIBA\ (or any location you won't accidentally delete/remove it from!)Change SaveAs type to "All" and call it "Show Touch Keyboard.vbs"Keep it open and modify it to look like this :
Set WshShell = WScript.CreateObject("WScript.Shell")
WshShell.SendKeys "^%{TAB}"
Save As to the same place, change SaveAs type to "All" and call it "Switch Touch Keyboard.vbs"Close NotepadClick start and type "button". Open the Toshiba Button Support program.Select KB Button(Single Click) and choose Browse. Select the "Show Touch Keyboard.vbs"Click Register. The program will close, so you will need to re-open it.Select KB Button(Double Click) and choose Browse. Select "Switch Touch Keyboard.vbs"Click Register

The keyboard button should now function correctly!

Hi

i'm trustworthy client Toshiba because i think is fantastic farm and wide industry electronics producer but i'm very surprised when i' ve bought W100 libretto model last week.

I've tried to install *BLIO* SW for because i would like to use this model like ebook reader in dual screen mode.
This new philosophy machine i think is right for this use but i think there are a lot of problem to achieve success.

In this particular plan of operations i have seen that there are two essential problem;
- first there is not right format layout of page on display dual screen mode and
- second the text font i think isn't limpid like windows .

Thank you for your kind attention

A:Libretto W100: Blio software - wrong format & text isn't limpid

Hi

I think Libretto W100 is a great device with the dual 7? displays. It can be used for different purposes and not only for ebook reading?

However, I think there are different applcations on the market which can be used for ebook reading and I think your feedback is related especially to the Blio software.

I cannot say anything about this tool. I don?t use it?.
However, your feedback is very interesting. Thanks for sharing this in our community.

A friend of mine left to me his netbook a Toshiba NB- with GB of memory and an bit atom CPU The system is upgraded to windows bit from the an 7 using english ISO Install by italian Win original windows starter I think it was bit too on a netbook The netbook is too slow so I firstly checked for viruses and malwares then I disabled all startup applications and not-MS services I also changed to a lighter antivirus like MSE but the system is still too slow So I concluded that the slowness is caused Install Win 7 italian by using an english ISO by the poor hardware resources My friend reported a reasonable usability when he had just bought the netbook about three years ago so I suggested a fresh install of windows after a backup of all his data The netbook has a recovery partition but I prefer a fresh install without Toshiba utilities Now I have a windows bit DVD I've customized it to allow release chose starter home premium professional and so on This Atom CPU is actually based on bit arch but I suspect that the product key on the bottom sticky is referred to a bit version of windows starter So question If the pre-installed system was bit can I do a fresh install using a bit windows version and activate it with the original product key The original system language is Italian and I wanted to install an Italian localized system cause my friend prefer it but I can't find ISO-s in a language other than English So question Is there a way to quot add quot some localization files I don't know something like language pack and so on in to the standard English ISO and so convert it to Italian language I mean I'm not interested in changing the language of installation wizard which could be also in English But the final installed system should be all in Italian Thanks a lot in advance

A:Install Win 7 italian by using an english ISO

The product key (license) is good for 32-Bit or 64-Bit, it is only good for the version (Starter) on the COA sticker.

Try using the Heidoc ISO Downloader available here:
https://www.heidoc.net/joomla/techno...-download-tool

They offer a Starter ISO where you can choose the language.
I can't read Italian, so i can't be sure if they have what you need.
The ISO's are downloaded from MS servers.

Hi there,
I have this brand new HP laptop with a pre-installed Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit. The problem is the language is "Italian" and I need to change it to english. I've read some articles on the net and it seems that I have to pay for an upgrade or buy the ultimate edition to have the english language pack. Guys is there a way to change the language without "paying" a cent? let's say a workaround or something. Any suggestions are highly appreciated Thanks.

I was doing a crossword puzzle online and all of the sudden a couple of windows flashed across the screen and the language changed from all English to a mixed English and Arabic (I believe). The menu bar at top of screen is gone too. HELP!

A:Language on my computer changed from English to English and (I believe) Arabic

Press the Windows flag key + R and in the Run open field type: intl.cpl (press enter)
Check that the drop down box under “Format: English” is set to “Match Windows Display language (recommended)"

I would be a little leery that something malicious may have been installed on the computer to cause this unwanted change. You may want to update and run any AV and or anti-malware programs you may have installed.

I have been installing Portuguese PhotoStory 3 on my windows 7 machine.

It install OK. I reboot. When I invoke Photostory 3 I am expecting to find it in Portuguese, ... but its still in English.
I used the official PhotoStory3Portuguese(Brazil).msi

Here's the question:
Even if I install the Portuguese version, does it still look at the OS language when invoked and say "well, your OS is in English so I am going to display in English" ?

(ps: I have the same issue on my XP machine...)

Well I am sure someone has asked this before but I have found multiple different answers and want to be sure not to mess up my system.

We moved to Germany about 5 months ago and we were in need of a new laptop. Without thinking twice I went down to the computer store and picked on up with Vista Home Premium. Never thinking that I would not be able to switch it to English without and issue. Well no I have an issue

Here is what I have found. Both of these websites claim to either have the LIP or an easy way to convert without VISTA Ultimum. Can someone verify for me that these sites are valid and it will not place a virus on my system.

Windows Vista Language Interface Packs (LIP)
and/or
Vistalizator - change display language in Vista Home and Business

Thank you,
Phwah

A:English Language

LIP is trustable, but they don't have an English LIP, which is ******** in my opinion.

I wouldn't trust anything to change languages in Home Premium or Business, because there has to be SOMETHING wrong with it.
