T410 Windows 10 Intel Video Driver Crashing

Q: T410 Windows 10 Intel Video Driver Crashing

Hi, is anyone else experiencing daily video accelerator crashing on T410 Windows 10? I have two units and they both crash after resuming the display after auto screen turn off. I have tried all the suggestions online from all over the web and nothing works. I hope that Lenovo will do something about this. Or, does anyone know how to stop this annoyance? Many thanks.

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/directdownload.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Welcome Gigglez

1. Is your T410 comes with only Intel GPU or both Intel / NVIDIA Optimus?

2. Is your existing drivers installed automatically by Windows or is it downloaded and installed from Lenovo Support?3. You could download and install a newer version of Intel HD Drivers*. Download and install NVIDIA driver also if it comes with it.*As T410 is already more than 5 years old, Intel and Lenovo may not provide supports and newer drivers to match newer version of Windows. If this 3 steps does not resolve your problem, you may have to revert your T410 to Windows 7.

I have just recently performed an inplace upgrade from Windows 7 Pro to Windows 10 pro and initially my Intel 440 graphics card was working as normal. Over the pass few days my machine kept on rebooting after a few minutes use with the error message of SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED (dxgkrnl.sys). I managed to get the OS to use Windows basic one but each time I tried to install the drivers for my Intel 4400 card it will go BSOD and I get the same error message. I also noticed that WIndows Update tried to install the new drivers. I used that method too but again it causes a BSOD. Any ideas how I could fix this please?

A:Nvidea Video Driver Crashing in WIndows 8.1

There are no crash dumps included in the file you posted. If you disabled your pagefile, re-enable it so the system can make crash dumps.

For now, really the only advice I can give is to install all latest drivers from motherboard site, even if Windows 7 drivers are the latest, and uninstall both ESET and McAfee, then use their removal tools from their sites also.

Set Windows Defender and Windows Firewall to Automatic and start them too.

That should take care of the 0x117 tdr timeouts I see. (Video going down, crashing the system because it could not restart.)

Hi all, I have a T410 that's from 2010 with the i5 520m cpu. I bought it used recently and I don't think the bios has ever been upgraded. When I follow the regular instructions of entering BIOS --> Config --> CPU, I saw a menu of four choices. The bottom two wereIntel(R) Virtualization Technology [DISABLED]Intel(R) VT-d Feature [DISABLED]I tried to change them, but strangely the menu only let me navigate through the first two choices (I can't recall them exactly now but they didn't seem to have anything to do with virtualization), nothing seemed to allow me to access the bottom two choices...  How should I go about fixing this properly?  I want to be very careful with upgrading/flashing BIOS as I really don't want to end up with a brick Thanks

A:Enabling Intel VT-x in a T410

Look for your BIOS Version and post it(You can find it on the start page of your BIOS)VT-x is supported by your CPU, but maybe there are conflicting settings..Maybe you really have to update the BIOS but that shouldn't be a real problem...Use a disk image, hook your thinkpad to the power and let it be for 20 minutes or so...

A few months ago, i upgraded from Windows 7, to Windows 10. After that my Intel(R) HD Graphics 4600 will crash between 5 - 20 times a day. Everytime it crashed a message shows up and it says that the Intel card is for Windows 8(R). I have downloaded the most recent version of the card from HP, Intel, and Windows, and nothing is working. What should I do?

Intel ended support for this device after XP release, neither vista or windows 7 will work with this device , it will set the resolution up to 640x480 and you cannot change it, so don't try to install it on this oldie adapter.

my two cents.

One of my users is have problems when connecting to a projector, he gets a blue screen.  I found a driver update on the HP site that addresses the problem, version 15.28.20.64.3347 - sp64730.  When I apply the updated driver is loads version 9.17.10.2963 instead of 15.28.20.64.337.   Looking back in my library on 6/18/2015 i downloaded version 9.17.10.2963 and it used sp64730.  And no I did not get the drivers mixed up, I label them with the version number.  Looks like someone at HP has put an old dirver on the site and associated 15.28.20.64.3347

I was recently gaming with my HP Envy, when a game reported that my Graphics Drivers are 727 days old (nearly 2 years).I went to update the driver from the HP website, because Intel says that it won't update my driver and to go to the manufacturer. When I got there, there wasn't any new driver for me to install. I would understand if this was a very old laptop, but to not provide an updated graphics driver for a laptop I just bought a year ago? I just don't get it... Anyways, could you please get the latest HD4600 driver from Intel and modify it or whatever needs to be done so I can use it on my laptop? TY.

A:intel 82845 video driver problem

Whats the problem, it doesn't install? Just install normally by double clicking the .exe, otherwise run in compatibility mode.

Compatibility Mode - Windows 7 Forums

if neither helps, use 7zip or whatever unzipper you use to extract the contents of the exe to a folder on the hard disk. Now, open device manager, locate the display driver entry (or scan for hardware changes), right click it, choose update driver and browse to the folder where you extracted.

If none of this works, you'll just need to locate another driver that works.

I have a Dell Latitude C400 laptop which I decided to upgrade to Windows 7 and I find that all the XP drivers work fine with it except for the Intel 82830 video driver, which means the screen resolution is only about 800 x 600. I have searched the web and it seems Intel have decided not to provide a driver for Windows 7.

I can't see any reason why the XP driver wouldn't work except that Intel and Microsoft want us all to buy new hardware. Could any of you clever guys out there hack the XP driver to make it work with Windows 7? There must be loads of C400 laptop owners out there who would pay good money for a driver.

Well, it's not a problem (now). I'm playing old games and i got lags in places, where are many of 3D models and I'm having white spots/dots on them. Here's the pic:

Do I need to reinstall my Windows? Do i need to change my graphics card? Please, help me.

P.S. I didn't clean my PC engine about for years (from dust), it could be a problem?

If the specs move with the models and their textures, it just looks like anomalies that the graphics card for whatever reason can't display right. If this doesn't do it on new games, I wouldn't be worried.

And it's always a good idea to keep a clean PC

A:Intel Video Card?Driver? Strange Problem

If you haven't cleaned your PC for a while, it could have dust build-up causing it to overheat, hence the white dot artefacts. It could also just be poor models in the game. Its hard to say at this point.

Download Speccy here Speccy - System Information - Free Download and see what temperature your graphics card is running at, and report back here with that.

So, I've got an HP dc5100 MT. It's got an Intel 915GV Video Controller on a Intel 82915G/GV/910GL Chipset, or so I've been told. The chipset info visible on the mobo seems to corroborate that. I recently went from 32-bit Win 7 to 64-bit Win 7. Video used to work fine. Now, in 64-bit, I can't load a video driver that will let me select the proper wide-screen resolution for my monitor. It will only let me go up to 1280x1024. All sorts of info say that Intel never released Vista or Win 7 drivers for this chipset, because it was too old. Yet, I know that whatever I was running on 32-bit Win 7 was working fine. Either way, I found the old post below about apparently the same chipset.

http://forums.techguy.org/windows-7/943982-solved-windows-7-driver-intel.html

I tried following that, but when I go to the device manager to update the driver, it won't let me - even if I tell it to browse to a specific folder where I download some driver, it says, "The best driver software for your device is already installed. Windows has determined the driver software for your device is up to date." And, it won't let me move forward. See - Windows doesn't tell me I have a 915GV video controller - it just tells me it has a 'standard VGA graphics adapter'. But, I figured that's just because it's running the generic driver. Anyway, it doesn't seem to want to let me fix it. Any suggestions?

Windows 7.build 7000 update

1) download any Drivers Backup software, like DriverMax which is Free
(or grab it here: h__p://***************/files/194969734/drivermax.exe.html)

2) boot your Vista or previous W7 which has working Intel drivers and "Export" your video drivers from your Drivers Backup Software, say DriverMax

3) boot to Windows 7.build 7000 and "Import" your drivers in your Drivers Backup Soft, like DriverMax
(or grab already exported for DriverMax drivers from here: h__p://***************/files/194970262/855gm_vista_driver.zip.html)

djchris79 Hello;Allow me to welcome you to the HP forums!I read your post about AMD driver problems and wanted to help.Since this is a relatively new machine, instead of struggling for hours to fix it yourself, why not just let HP fix it -- for free!!  While this PC is still under warranty, you should contact HP Customer Support directly to have them put you in touch with HP Technical Support to see what they can do about diagnosing and repairing your machine remotely.I did this recently and the HP Tech was able to remotely access my PC from the Internet and do the needed repairs. If you live in the US or Canada, contact information is on this page: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/phone-assist.html#section1If you live elsewhere, contact information is on this page: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/ww-contact-us.htmlNOTE: After you get through, stay on the line until you are finally able to talk to some one -- it can take a while!-----------------------------------------------------However, I believe that HP Customer Support might not be open everywhere on the weekends, so you might have to wait until Monday to call.Good Luck========================================================================I am a volunteer and I do not work for, nor do I represent, HP.---------------------------------------------------------------If my posts helped you, please click the Thumbs-Up symbol on the left of the Reply button to say thanks. If my posts solved your problem please click "Accept As Solution" -- to help others find the solution.========================================================================

Hey folks, I posted a day or two ago with a very specific problem, a STOP error I start receiving ONLY after installing drivers for my Radeon 9800 Pro 256bit/256mb video card.. The stop error is "STOP 0x0000007E(0x00000005,0x00000000,0xF7C8270C,0xF7C8240C)"

My computer had started to freeze up, so I reformatted and now this. Well, I put the card in another computer, and the same thing happens only after updating the driver. I can't find any information, and I'm actually trying to contact Sapphire for repairs, or a return.. But I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas, or opinions. Do you think the card is damaged? Could it be a card bios problem? I had flashed the bios to XT ones, but flashed back to a newer PRO one. Not sure why it would just go bad after so long, unless its become seriously damaged.

These were related to audiodg.exe A known problem especially before SP-1 is installed. You may have to google the problem as I dont remember the exact cause (has something to do with enhancements)

In addition to the Audiodg please update these old drivers.

started having problems saying display driver igfx has stopped responding and has recovered. the screen has a bunch of black dots on it and will go flicker off and on and keeps saying the display driver igfx.. error. this only happens in normal mode and when the driver is installed, it works fine in safe mode and when the driver is not installed. i have tried various drivers from dell's and Intel's websites, nothing has worked so far. i did reinstall vista hoping that would help fix the problem but it didn't.

Be sure to enter the appropriate version of Windows in the box.

Hi,
I'm a little confused by one of my update options. I was under the impression that windows 7 was using wddm 1.1, and that the wddm 1.0 drivers have been available for quite some time. I checked and the driver I have is wddm 1.0, released 10/28/2008, version number 8.15.10.1590. So why am I being given the option to update to 'pre-release wddm 1.0'? I tried to get more information to check the version number, but I am just redirected to Winqual Help , which doesn't help me any.

I'd like to test out the wddm 1.1 drivers, and I've read that they're available for 7, but I don't think that these are those drivers, unless there is a typo in the driver title.

yes thats right....

wddm is just a driver model...
its up to the manufacture (here intel) to release wddm 1.1 driver
so until then (most likely they wont) they have to release a wddm 1.1

Windows Display Driver Model - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
that should be a good read....

what they mean pre-release means that these drivers are beta drivers (there is a difference between pre-release drivers and pre-release wddm 1.1 drivers)

However when using the Intel's currently supplied GMA driver dated all Windows Metro apps crash when attempting to run them I cold use Microsoft's default display driver but with that one I'm limited to x and sleep won't work So far there is no word from Intel on whether new GMA drivers for Windows will emerge Asus thinks that new Intel GMA3600 - Metro Crashing in Windows 8: Any Solutions Out There? drivers will never be possible However it appears that some Atom Z devices like Acer's W may be powered by GMA SGX after all Of note Samsung's Z -powered Series tablet has some Intel GMA drivers available for Windows via this link I figured I'd try them on a Fujitsu Q which has GMA However no luck -- the error message I get with Windows Pro RTM is quot this driver does Intel GMA3600 - Metro Crashing in Windows 8: Any Solutions Out There? not support this version of Windows quot which seems weird given that I'm running Windows Pro I'm not sure if the INF can be modified to support Cedar Trail devices particularly since the GPU appears to be the same albeit at a different clock speed just like GMA vs GMA Does anyone have experience with this I remember seeing this forum about some modded drivers that XDleader made for GMA -- interestingly some versions of EMGD drivers like seem to work well with GMA devices like Fujitsu's UH with Windows in my experience There's an ongoing forum about this over at Intel via this link and this one too Are there any GMA users looking for better Windows drivers Summary of Links Intel's GMA Driver for Windows Link Samsung Series Slate GMA Driver for Windows Link

This is NOT official HP Customer Support and I, as most other persons on this forum, do not work for HP. This is a peer-to-peer user supported forum for HP products. HP maintains no official presence on this forum and it is unlikely that HP will respond in an official capacity. Any reply from a HP employee represents their own opinion and not that of HP's. It appears you have the latest production release of the Intel Graphics Driver for Windows 10. The only other driver listed on Intel's support website is 14.40.26.4474 which is a BETA version. This BETA driver doesn't appear to address the issue you are having. HP hasn't made it difficult to update the driver. The Intel driver installer is what is telling you it can't install the driver. This is because there is a customized version of the driver on the computer and replacing it with a generic driver may cause issues or loss of functionality of the hardware. If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to ask. Please click the White KUDOS "Thumbs Up" to show your appreciation

Do you have the latest version of the Intel 100 Series Chipset Driver to go along with the updated ME and USB3 drivers?
If not, install the chipset first, reboot and test the rodents. Assuming they still work correctly, update the other 2 drivers, one at a time, rebooting in between each install, and testing the mouse wheel. If nothing else, you might figure out which driver is the offender.
Make sure you still have a suitable System Restore point before updating anything.

Hello, I already created a Service Ticket but they couldn't help me with this problem. We are testing several system with Windows 10 and all of them have the same problem. The display driver keeps crashing and recovering, but when this happens the screen freezes a few seconds and some programs crash because of it. The error message is: Display driver stopped responding and has recovered. Display driver Intel HD Graphics Drivers for Windows 8(R) stopped responding and has successfully recovered. I have tried latest drivers from Lenovo, Windows Update. Fresh Windows 10 install or upgrade from Windows 7. All have the same problem. Hi,

Just wondering if anyone has been having the same issue.

Windows 7 x64 series 8 motherboard. ASUS z87-expert.

My USB3 and USB2 are not working right after I install the Intel USB3 xhci Driver for Intel? 8/9 Series
version 3.0.1.41.

I have used the setup.exe to install the driver and the mouse/keyboard stopped working after the drivers are updated and I am not able to click the "Finish" button on the GUI to complete the installation.

Luckily that I was able to remote login to the PC to click the "Finish" button. After restart, the USB ports starts to work again.

A:USB port not working Intel USB3 xhci Driver for Intel« 8/9 Series

Welcome to SevenForums,

It is a little normal that during the process of updating the drivers, it does disconnect the devices plugged onto ports, to swap drivers and write the files in order the new drivers to work. It does remap the devices.

It is always better to uninstall previous USB 3.0 drivers and use a usb 2.0 port to control temporarily another mouse to finish the process and the reboot required. Could be Intel xHci or AsMedia XHci ones...same same.

I tried updating the graphics driver manually but it failed to install successfully after downlaoding on several attempts. Does Intel support this driver for windows 10?

Intel Corporation - Graphics Adapter WDDM1.0, Graphics Adapter WDDM1.1, Graphics Adapter WDDM1.2, Graphics Adapter WDDM1.3 - Intel(R) HD Graphics software update released in August, 2015

We really couldn't get a clear answer from Intel, other than they don't support ivybridge graphic adapter.

The reason when I was using 10 ( I am back to using 7sp1 & Linux mint 17.3), the graphic driver occasionally blinked, when booting up, restarting or opening up the start menu. It didn't matter what resolution I was using same thing happened. It didn't matter on the architecture either x86 (32 bit) or 64 bit. Same issue.

I actually tried to install it but the setup gets stuck with the following error: "This computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing the software".I also tried to install everything  on administrator mode but without success, same error. Is it possible that there are no drivers for Win 8.1? Frankly, this sounds quite embarassing. Regards

Bunch of us are trying to figure out ways we can have a useable Windows 8 drivers for GMA 3600/3650 (PowerVR GPU core that is Cedar Trail processor) on the Intel Community forum.
As we are getting into nitty gritty stuff of mod drivers and changing vbios and what not, I am concerned that Intel may simple remove the thread and we wouldn't have a place to continue and keep what we have done.

So I am setting up this thread at a rendezvous point for some of us users there as well as for getting more people participating in the discussion.
there is the original thread:

Hey all,
I've had to leave Intel Management Engine Interface disabled for awhile now due to ongoing driver/compatibility issues in Windows 10.
I've tried re-installing several different Intel AMT driver versions now including DELL support recommended 11.0.0.1153.
After reboot the system just hangs on DELL loading screen for about 2min before finally loading desktop then upon checking device manager Intel MEI shows the below error:
The error is a code 10 (STATUS_DEVICE_POWER_FAILURE).
Checking Event Viewer is full of warnings and errors from source MEIx64:
The Intel(R) Management Engine Interface is being reset.
Intel(R) Management Engine Interface driver has failed to perform handshake with the Firmware
My system will no longer resume from sleep either after hitting 'Esc' key just ends up rebooting which I'm pretty certain is also related...rather annoying to say the least having to always shutdown when not in use.

Hi echrada

Good read as usual

Quote:
Hardware makers that don't comply with the edict won't qualify for Microsoft's Windows Logo certified compatibility program for Windows 7 or Windows Vista. "Beginning with the first beta of Windows 7 all Windows Vista submissions must include a complete CPK with test logs from Windows 7," Microsoft said in a 61-page bulletin to its hardware partners.

About time M$ got tough with the people who really let Vista down

Hello bpatter mate first up don't worry about EUFI that board is - if I amnot terribly wrong a legacy BIOS if you open it up you should see a screen asin my pic. Let us know which type it is please.

The other thing we would like to know is why are you trying to get Intelgraphics driver/s you should only have to use the driver for the GPU http://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/82758/en-us the onboard stuff should and again unless Iam terribly wrong cut out auto when you plug in a card

The main thing here is to get SP1 installed ASAP

I upgraded to windows 10 and now i would like to upgrade my drivers to hp drivers however there are several that are not do not seem to be available for windows 10 or the listed upgrade versions are not the same product that I have in my ssytem. (example I have a HP ENVY m7-k010dx with Intel HD graphics 4600 but what is shown available to me via the automated hp driver website is a Nvidia driver,) I would like to know if it is still possible to use the windows 8.1 drivers and or firmware updates/bios updates.  As I do see a bunch of them that have been updated?

We have a Thinkcentre M700 that when we install the latest display driver from the Lenovo website, we get blinking pixels all over our screen. If we uninstall and use the Standard VGA, they go away, but now we can only use one monitor. Clearly its an issue with the Intel Gfx drivers for the M700. Anyone else have this same issue?

I have an XPS 8900 with windows 10 installed, it has both intel HD 530 and nvidia GT 730 video adapters. For some reason i cannot get the start menu to work, i have tried all the common fixes with no luck. However, if i disable the Intel HD 530 video adapter, my start menu starts to work just fine, i have the latest driver 21.20.16.4534, 10/07/16. i have also tried removing and reinstalling the adapter with no luck, as well as rolling back the driver to previous version. Any ideas on this one?

Good afternoon all nbsp While I have researched the heck out of this issue I have not been able to come up with anything useful I have been having this ongoing problem with my Lenovo 10) Above T410 Battery - (Windows 74% Not Charging T laptop and the battery charging above Sometimes the charging light will turn amber sometimes it will stay green with a random quick flash here and there I'm trying T410 (Windows 10) - Battery Not Charging Above 74% to determine for a fact if the battery I have is not functioning or if it's something else T410 (Windows 10) - Battery Not Charging Above 74% causing it Below are the steps I've taken to troubleshoot nbsp Completely discharged battery and recharged with laptop off Reseated battery and attempted to remove dust from battery connection port Checked Windows registry for settings regarding charging actions at certain percentages This was initially upgraded to Win - Fully remove Lenovo Power Manager from machine Verify using HWInfo that it appears the battery health is good can provide image if requested Completely reformatted and fresh installed Windows There may be a step or two I have forgotten but if someone asks I'll let you know if I did it or not I would love to get this fixed as the laptop serves my purposes other than having a fully charged battery If there's a surefire way to know factually if it's the battery then I'll go ahead and replace it Thanks all

A:T410 (Windows 10) - Battery Not Charging Above 74%

Have you tried recalibrating the battery? Open Lenovo Power Manager -> switch to advanced -> Battery -> Battery Maintenance -> Perform Reset. It will take a lot of time to complete, don't remove AC power while this is running. Let it run while you are sleeping or something similar so that you won't have to interrupt the process.

A friend dropped off a T410 system. Windows is flakey and locks up after about 5 minutes. Ran the HD test program in the BIOS. It finished but gave me a bunch of 0000 Read verification errors though the controller tested fine. What I'd like to do is format the Windows partition and re-install. But I don't have Windows disks (there is a COA sticker for Windows 7 Home Premium 64). Can I build a set of recovery disks from this system? Even if Windows won't run? Any info would be a great help. Thanks.

You will not get win 10 video or chipset drivers for the old laptop since they don't exist, so you have to make do with lower resolutions on the new monitor. Touch will not work on the old laptop. Time to upgrade to a new computer!

Hi all. I've tried NUMEROUS way to make any version of the Intel HD Graphics 4000 graphic driver work on this used HP Envy m4-1150la  machine that works great under a Windows 10 upgrade (everything else was able to be updated and works flawlessly). I've gone back and forth uninstalled, reinstalling, upgrading, etc etc to no avail. I kee getting a Code 43 from Windows ("Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)".  I've attempted to get an answer from Intel and Microsoft about this issue to no avail. Anyone encounter this error, or am I just out of luck and have to look into a new product? Thank you.

Hi: Since I don't know what you have tried, if you have not tried this, give it a shot... Uninstall the graphics adapter (check the uninstall driver box too) and restart the machine so you get the Microsoft Basic Display Adapter to show up under the Display Adapters device manager category. Download and install this free file utility.  The second file listed is for 64 bit. http://www.7-zip.org/ Download and save, but do not run this graphics driver file from your notebook's support page. This package provides the driver that enables the IntelHigh-Definition (HD) Graphics in supported notebook models that arerunning a supported operating system. If high-definition multimediainterface (HDMI) video output is supported, this package alsoinstalls the HDMI Audio Driver. File name: sp63753.exe After you download the graphics driver file, right click on it and select 7-Zip from the list of options. Have 7-Zip Extract to: and let it extract the file into its folder name (sp63753). After that is done go to the device manager and click to expand the Display Adapters device category. Click on the Microsoft Basic Display Adapter. Click on the driver tab.  Click on Update Driver. Select the Browse my computer for driver software option and browse to the driver folder 7-Zip created. Make sure the Include Subfolders box is checked and see if the driver installs that way. Then restart the PC.
