I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/directdownload.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

i upgraded from a reltek dualband wifi bluetooth for the same issue of terrible bluetooth crackling and now my Intel dualband AC bluetooth is similar but what really bothers me is that at first as in likr the first week the bluetooth on my Intel dualband AC was amazing working as its supposed to i could go to the hallway of my house and be connected clear and no latency but now a days its like before and sometimes worse i have to be literally ft and sit at a angle for the bluetooth to be good some days and places its good and others its terrible it seems to be really bad at work i starting to think its a interference issue but even at home its semi 7260 and crackling disconnecting AC Intel BLUETOOTH dualband bad theres times where if i stand up and move away form the laptop my headset says out of range trying to connect also sometimes if i cover a certain spot on my laptop it cuts off same with my bluetooth speaker and my devices are just fine because when i connect them to my phone they work perfect also works well with my AUkey i tried different drivers to no avail what can do

installed intel ac-3160 dual band + blue tooth in a Sony notebook system wont allow blue tooth to start.
also there is no interface available to connect any hardware to it, i know it has something to do with some Vaio software on the system.
it allows me to use dual band mode and it shows that blue tooth is present but disables it claiming interference with 2.4 GHz band.
now i have had blue tooth dongles installed working while using 2.4 GHz band before with no issues, so i don't get the issue now.
any input would be appreciated.

Hey guys,

So i spent the entire day trying to figure out why my Bluetooth installed fine but after one restart it disappeared and it wouldn't come back. I finally figured it out that the FN+F2 (wireless/bluetooth switches) is what enables/disabled it HAHAHAHAHA.

default (after startup): WiFi on / BT off
first time: WiFi on / BT ON yay~!
second time: WiFi off / BT on
third time: WiFi off / BT off

and repeat.

I hope this helps people with their bluetooth issues =)

Windows 8 was able to install all my Function Keys so I'm going to assume this will be the case for others. Good luck

Hi
One of my friend in India purchased "HCL ME Sync 1.0 (U3) Tablet (WiFi, 3G via Dongle) by HCL" online . It says in many places that it supports Bluetooth but when I saw this I couldn't find any option for the bluetooth and don't know how to turn it on. Is there any one who has purchased it and help me out to turn the bluetooth on or how can we transfer files with some other bluetooth device. Even I couldn't find much good information on internet.

A:Hcl Me U3 tablet says file sharing with Bluetooth but don't know how to turn on the bluetooth ?

I don't see it listed in the spec sheet, nor the user guide.

On both of my android 4.2 devices, Bluetooth is listed after Wi-fi in Settings. I would think it's the same w/ android 4.1. It's possible the tablet doesn't have bluetooth.

Hello!

I recently installed the latest version of the Toshiba Bluetooth Stack (v9.10.32T) for one of my desired applications to properly function. However, connecting my Bluetooth headphones through Toshiba's bluetooth manager does not seem to support the media buttons on the headset. These include Play/Pause and seek buttons. Before the Bluetooth stack, when I used my default bluetooth driver for connection, these controls had worked fine.

Also, there does not seem to be a specific setting to fix this in the Toshiba Bluetooth Stack Options.
How would I go about getting these controls back?

I bought a bluetooth dongle which for some reason isn't working in Windows 7. It shows up in Devices and Printers as "CSR Bluetooth Chip" and when I right click on it and select bluetooth settings, nothing happens. It shows up under Bluetooth Radios in device manager. As a test I tried using it in a Windows 10 VM. When connecting the USB dongle via VirtualBox it was referred to as "Uknnown device 0A12:0001 [134]" and it worked just fine in the VM. Any clue as to what is wrong?

In windows 10 mobile, I can go into my bluetooth devices, and 'disconnect' a specific device. In Windows 10, I can only 'remove' the device (which I don't want to do) or turn off BlueTooth altogether.
Does anybody know a way to just disconnect a device? For instance, I want to have my headphones connect to my phone instead of the PC.

A:How to disconnect a bluetooth device without turning off bluetooth.

'Remove device' is probably not the best choice of words they could have used on this! When you close the process (i.e. 'disconnect' your headphones) on your PC, you are performing the same function as what you describe on your phone. You are not actually removing the device, just closing the process. I hope that makes sense!

Hello I have an issue with my Medialink USB Bluetooth Adapter Bluetooth LIT Adapter's USB Is Bluetooth OFF? Light IS When Blue - Version Class Smart Ready Adapter Model No MUA-BA Let me explain Okay I have setup my Medialink USB Bluetooth Adapter with the drivers for my Windows operating system USB Bluetooth Adapter's Blue Light IS LIT When Bluetooth Is OFF? Now when I plug this USB Bluetooth adapter into my USB port connector on my desktop computer it automatically lights up with a blue light on the Medialink USB Bluetooth Adapter itself and on my Windows system tray notification area I get the Bluetooth icon displayed as ON Then I go ahead and pair the computer and my device s example a Smartphone to connect which they do successfully When I am done using the Bluetooth technology I disconnect the Bluetooth connection from each device and then instead of leaving your USB Bluetooth adapter ON with my Windows operating system I go into my Windows system tray notification area and select Turn Adapter OFF I then get the red Bluetooth icon in my Windows system tray notification area demonstrating that my Bluetooth is indeed OFF and the Bluetooth blue light on the Medialink USB Bluetooth Adapter goes OFF or is not lit any longer Okay so far so good everything is normal However when I shutdown my Windows operating system and then restart the computer at some later point I notice that the Medialink USB Bluetooth Adapter still shows on my Windows system tray notification area as OFF okay normal BUT THE BLUE LIGHT ON THE MEDIA LINK USB BLUETOOTH ADAPTER IS NOW ON The only way I can turn off the blue light on the USB Bluetooth adapter is to manually go through the Windows system tray notification area turn ON the Bluetooth technology and then promptly turn back OFF the Bluetooth technology in order for the Medialink USB Bluetooth Adapter s blue light to go OFF again I find this to be a real pain and chore each time to have to go through these manual steps to turn OFF that Medialink USB Bluetooth Adapter s blue light when the Medialink USB Bluetooth Adapter s blue light SHOULD BE OFF TO BEGIN WITH I would assume after the system re- start and leaving the Medialink USB Bluetooth Adapter plugged into the USB port connector on my desktop computer if the Bluetooth technology is indeed OFF as set with the Windows operating system settings then the Medialink USB Bluetooth Adapter s blue light should be OFF as well BUT IT IS NOT I have no intention of consistently plugging in and out the Medialink USB Bluetooth Adapter when I plan on using it or not but instead leaving the Medialink USB Bluetooth Adapter always plugged into the my USB port connector on my desktop computer at all times and using the Windows system tray notification area s Bluetooth icon to turn ON and OFF the Bluetooth technology when needed I have contacted Medialink Mediabridge and they have informed me the rationale for this issue quot The only reason the light would be lit is if the bus power from that USB port was running I they looked for ways to manage the bus power settings of the USB host but was unable to find anywhere in the Control Panel that would allow you to adjust that particular setting quot Makes perfect sense to me that the bus power for the USB port is ALWAYS RUNNING and the computer starts the USB ports are powered and therefore the Medialink USB Bluetooth Adapter is always lit at system start until I turn off the Medialink USB Bluetooth Adapter via Window 's system tray notification area Specifically the Medialink USB Bluetooth Adapter is connected to one of the USB ports on the front of my desktop computer The front desktop USB port connects to one of the USB pin connectors on my ASUS P Q motherboard Further I have an OLDER ASUS P Q motherboard that does NOT support Bluetooth as part of its BIOS settings -- PRE-Bluetooth capability Therefore I installed the software on my Windows Professional -bit and drivers that came with my Medialink USB Bluetooth Adapt... Hi, can you give a 20 word or less problem summary please, I got lost in those wordy details.

I am no BT expert or anything, but all I read was complaining about a light being on, which a piece of black electrical tape fixes around my house, regularly *cough* fire alarms.

If the maker of the device doesn't have a solve to your issue... that is usually the end of the road with a cliff.

Probably Windows 10 replaced the original Bluetooth driver with Microsoft driver which doesn't work well, if at all. Go to manufacturer's site and download the Bluetooth driver. If there is no Windows 10 driver, use that of 8.1 This should fix your connectivity problems.

A:Trying to escape 'Dell Hell': Windows Registry problem?

Do a full destructive recovery. (This will delete everything, including data.)
It reformats, recreates partitions then installs.

If not happy then, I would want a new puter.

Why do you need Powerpoint?
If it is just to look at files, MS has a free Powerpoint veiwer.

If you want a program, take a look at Open office Impress.

My question is how I can get this key code which needs be entered on the Bluetooth Device. When I tried the bluesoliel software,it disabled the native bluetooth
service in 7 and did not reenable it when it was uninstalled.
Try this.........
1. Click Start and type services in the Search programs and files text area

2. Click Services in the Programs list that appears

3. From the Services window, browse the list of services and find the Bluetooth Support Service

4. Double-click Bluetooth Support Service

5. Select Automatic from the Startup type and then click OK

6. Close the Services window and unplug and re-plug the USB device

Hi! (reposting in this section)

A few days ago my computer got turned off a few seconds before the Shutting Down process was complete. Ever since then, I have no Bluetooth options anywhere.
It was working fine before; I had connected my Bose Wireless Bluethooth Mini Soundlink with it and have been using it for gaming, music, etc. for a couple of weeks.

My OS: Windows 8.1 64-bit
Networking specs:
Killer 1525 Wi-Fi IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac
Bluetooth 4.1, 3.0+HS, 2.1+EDR
Killer E2205 Gigabit Ethernet

What I've tried:
Reinstalling ethernet, wireless and bluetooth drivers, uninstalling, restarting, installing, etc.
Uninstalled via device manager, restarted comp.
Disabled and re-enabled network controller via BIOS
Also, even though I've installed the wireless drivers twice now, it still doesn't detect any wireless networks and the device (Killer 1525 Wi-FI AC) is greyed out in the device manager when I show hidden devices.
OS was reinstalled about a week ago as well.

Hello Gbsnpir,

You might see if you may be able to use Device Manager to uninstall both the driver and device as in the tutorial below. Afterwards, disconnect and reconnect the bluetooth module, and see if you may be able to install the new driver.

Hi: Below is the link to the product specs page for your model. http://support.hp.com/us-en/product/HP-Pavilion-15-e000-Notebook-PC-series/5355006/model/5439542/doc... It does not come with built in bluetooth networking, or that feature would have been listed along with the 802.11b/g/n wireless connectivity specification. The easiest thing to do would be to purchase an external USB bluetooth adapter, or you could open up the PC and replace the wireless card with one that is a wireless/bluetooth combination card. http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c03939658

I was always able to send files via Bluetooth from Computer A to Computer B and vice-versa.

Now I can only send from Computer A to Computer B.
When I try to send from Computer B to Computer A, I get this message "FTP service not found on target device".

This is very weird, as it used to work, and Computer A still sends to Computer B.

Any help?

Thanks!

Well, nobody answered my question, but I did something that solved the problem.

I opened the System Configuration (msconfig), and under "startup" I checked "Bluetooth Software".

Now both computers send to each other.

I have no understanding why this fixed the problem, but it did.

Hi,

i just installed a fresh copy of Windows 8. I was running Windows 7 and i had my bluetooth device off. Now when i try to install the bluetooth drivers using broadcom software i failed cause it needs to have the bluetooth on. As far as i know i can turn on my bluetooth only by software. On HP website there is a program called "HP Wireless Assistant" where Wi-Fi and Bluetooth can be turned on or off. This cannot be installed on Windows 8 and a pop-up message indicates "HP Wireless Assistant cannot be installed on systems with .NET framework smaller than 2.0".

Is there anything i can do or do i have to go back into Windows 7?

Right click on the bottom left corner and hit device manager. Open the Bluetooth category and right click on the Bluetooth device that is not functioning and hit enable.

A:Lenovo Z50-70 bluetooth issue

hi MarieNville,

Welcome to the Forums.

Can you please try the following:

1. Navigate to Control Panel (icon views) > Programs and Features and remove any apps that relates to Bluetooth (reboot if necessary).

2. When finished, the Bluetooth section will now use the inbox Bluetooth Driver as shown in the image below:

3. If the Bluetooth section is not present, download and run the Bluetooth Driver installer
     - this will identify the type of Bluetooth Device installed on the system (eg. Qualcom Atheros, Intel, etc.) and it will install a generic Bluetooth driver. If successful, try pairing a bluetooth device and observe.

If everything goes well, try installing the official bluetooth drivers by navigating to the D:\Drivers\Bluetooth folder or from the Z50-70 drivers page and observe.

Let me know how it goes.

A:Bluetooth headset issue

For Bluetooth headsets, you normally need too install the driver and software that comes with the headset. If windows update is having a tough time finding drivers, try visiting the manufacturer website. After you install, use the software to manage pairing, then configure the sound output properly and it should work fine.

I don't think it is windows 7. I have a phone and a mouse paired to a Bluetooth stick with Broadcom drivers. They paired at first attempt. There is usually a button on the base of a mouse that you have to press to make it discoverable. I don't know about a keyboard though, I have never used one. There is also a checkbox on the options tab of the Bluetooth settings dialog to make the computer discoverable.

I am having a strange bluetooth problem with my XPS 13 that I haven't found a solution for anywhere on the web. I have a bluetooth mouse that connects fine, and doesn't lose connection. The problem is that if i have the mouse connected and put my laptop into sleep mode, then turn off the mouse, upon resuming windows it doesn't detect that the mouse has been disconnected. I am running Windows 10, and I have a setting enabled that disables the touchpad when a bluetooth mouse is connected, so as you can imagine the device becomes very difficult to use in the situation that this issue creates. This is definitely an issue with Windows 10, not the laptop, but if anyone has a solution to this problem(not a workaround), it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I have a Nokia 6680 which was synchronizing with Outlook using Bluetooth - Then for some reason it just stopped working. When I try to reconfigure the bluetooth connection, the PC detects the phone using the Nokia PC Suite software, but then I get an error message saying "cannot authenticate the phone" - This in XP Pro SP2, using the MS Bluetooth stack.

I am running Vista on the same PC in dual boot mode, and in Vista the Bluetooth all works perfectly. So it isn't a hardware issue. I have googled the error message and there seems to be utter confusion out there. I think Bluetooth is an immature technology that was never really implemented properly, (it gives me grief all over the place) but I would still like to get it to work.

Any ideas?

A:Puzzling Bluetooth Issue

Now the headset's working and the keyboard isn't. But the mouse is, as usual. Normally EVERYTHING works, and all at the same time - automatically. That's the whole point of Bluetooth. So why am I having this issue?!!

(Used onboard keys for the above, and BT keys for the following)

In the time it took me to post this, I must have pressed the keys thousands of times, all the while using the mouse and hearing music on the headset. I got no keyboard response. Now suddenly it's "on" again after at least 15-20 minutes of attempts. I hear the music, I can use the mouse, and now I can type on the keyboard again. So - the issue seems to be periodic drops in the services. What is the cause, and what is the remedy?

Update: now ONLY the headset is responding, the mouse and keyboard have stopped altogether. I've taken out and reinserted the batteries, but it didn't help. This isn't supposed to be happening; all the peripherals are supposed to be operating normally as if all were hard wired. They were working, but now they're not. Unacceptable.

Hi, I have Hp Elitebook 820G3 and I need to create a driver packages for Windows 7 x64 Enterprise. The problem is that I cant install Intel Bluetooth driver on WIn7x64 Ent version. I have tried different driver versions but still same issue.

A:Intel Bluetooth Driver issue

Please provide the hardware id to provide the right drivers needed. please follow these steps:1. In the Run box type devmgmt.msc.2. Unknown devices would be listed as such and marked out with a yellow question mark.3. Select the unknown device or other device for which you need drivers and right click to access Properties.4. In the Properties window click on Details tab and select Device Instance Id  or Hardware ID from the drop down.5. An alphanumeric string like this PCI\VEN_1217&DEV_7130&SUBSYS_012F1025&REV_01\4&6B16D5B&0&33F0 is the identification marker for the device.6. Please provide this number so that we can suggest the appropriate driver.

How to make N580 bluetooth ready running Wundows 10--so far I have found no drivers available.

A:N580 - Bluetooth issue with Windows 10.

Welcome to the Lenovo Community !

Unfortunately there were never any drivers released for the N580 and Windows 10.  Have you tried installing the Windows 8.1 bluetooth driver?  If it doesn't install, try installing it in Windows Compatibility Mode.  Here is the Windows 8.1 driver........

I have a Dell latitude 2100 laptop, with a Dell 365 Bluetooth module.
I finally got around to installing the driver (from Dell) to make it work.
It installed fine and everything, but it tells me that, to turn on the Bluetooth module:

"Activate Bluetooth using Fn+F2 or Radio on/off switch"

But I don't have a physical switch, and Fn+F2 is already reserved for the battery control.
And I tried clicking to turn it on, but it tells me to either use the switch or the function button.

Is there a way around this, or some other bluetooth control software I can use?

Thank you in advance

I primarily use two computers a personal HP Envy laptop and a Surface Pro for work Both run Windows Pro Because the SP only has one USB port I decided to get a Bluetooth mouse the Microsoft Sculpt Comfort It works great aside from one major issue Anytime I switch to the other computer I have to re-pair the device It will not work automatically Once I pair it again it works fine until I decide to use it on the other computer Now I'm not trying to use it at the same time on both Let's say I use the SP during the day then later at night I'll put away the SP Two Laptops Bluetooth on Mouse Issue and boot up my personal laptop I'll turn off the mouse and turn it back on I tried removing the batteries and putting Bluetooth Mouse Issue on Two Laptops them back in Are Bluetooth mice only capable of storing pairing data with one computer at a time where it needs to be re-paired each time that device changes

A:Bluetooth Mouse Issue on Two Laptops

As far as I know the answer is yes, one device at a time. My solution is to own 1 Bluetooth mouse per machine, so I own 4 of the MS Sculpt Comfort mice.

I have a Bluetooth keyboard that specifies that it can be paired with 6 devices at the same time. Once paired, you press "FN" and the number 1-6 to switch to the desired device. The keyboard also has a touchpad. Here's a link if you're interested: IOGEAR - GKM611B - Multi-Link Bluetooth Keyboard with Touchpad

A:Bluetooth Mouse issue -challenging!

-----UPDATE ----

I downgrade the drivers just a version below and still visually, everything same but, in action, things are a bit different.

Now, the laptop's bluetooth indicator blinks rapidly when I just double-click the mouse and also, after some time later (don't know exactly), it does connect and the mouse becomes available.

Now, if there is any way to speed this process up so it connects rather in 2 - 5 seconds rather some few minutes later... Any ideas?

I have an issue with my computer in which when I connect two different pair of beats, one being powerbeat wireless and my other beats which are beats solos. When I pair the devices through Bluetooth, 1 minute into a song or just after pairing the sound cuts off. When I go into playback devices, the sound bar moves up and down signalizing that there is sound playing but nothing is heard through the headphones. I believe there is a connectivity issue between any Bluetooth devices and my computer. I have tried updating the drivers and repairing the devices but with no luck.

It should show up as a Virtual Keyboard device if you are using it for Speech to text. If you are showing problems, I would suggest checking to see if Vivitar has a driver update.

Hi everyone! I?m new in this forum and in Vista....

I own a new NB, an Acer Aspire 6920G-6366 with the following specs:

Intel Core2Duo T7500 (2.2Ghz, 800Mhz FSB, 4MB L2 Cache)
4GB DDR2
320GB HDD
16" HD Acer CineCrystal LCD (1366x768)
nVidia GeForce 9500m GS 512MB
MultiRecorder + DB-ROM
802.11a/b/g WLAN
Bluetooth 2.0+EDR
Windows Vista Home Premium 64bits (Spanish)

Everythings works great, I removed some bloatware.
And as it has integrated Bluetooth I bought a Microsoft Bluetooth Notebook Mouse 5000 (OEM Version) and works very fine....

So the only complaint that I have now is that when I boot up Vista, the Bluetooth is disabled and I have to turn it on by pressing the Bluetooth button.

Is there any way to set the Bluetooth enabled on Vista startup?

A:Bluetooth 3.0 issue with Nokia PC Suite

I have similar problem of non-connectivity thru BT on my HP Probook. The laptop came with built-in Bluetooth. It connects to my Nokia E-72 thru the Windows BT Manager. But when i try to connect thru PC Suite, it does not. The PC Suite works fine with E-72 when i connect thru USB cable. Same was the story with Ovi Suite.

Connectivity of PC Suite was a convenience on Windows XP (my older laptop).

If anyone's got a solution, please let me know.

16feb11. I have a Dell Latitude E6410 Win7Pro 32 bit and the Bluetooth is disfunctional.
I added a new bluetooth mouse using the windows automatic discovery process (without specific pairing code method) and the mouse worked fine for a few hours, then it stopped working.
I turned the mouse off/on, pressed the 'search' button and even though the mouse appears in the 'devices & printers' window the mouse.
Bluetooth is still problematic.
Is this a known Win7 issue? or a Dell Latitude issue? - or both?

Ok here is my issue ( screenshot is provided )

My board has BT Go on it as standard and even though all is installed and i can pair my devices to my pc ( phone )

I am unable to send or receive files to and from the pc to any paired device.

Now Asus website shows NO support for the bluetooth for windows 8.1 for my board as yet but does for windows 8.

I even have to use an older chipset driver suite due to several device manager issues with the newer ones.

Anyone have any solution / help as to what i can do for this to be able to help me use the bluetooth function as it should work?

Thankyou in advance.

Greetings I have a dell inspiron e laptop that I got in June and it came with Vista I recently put Windows Professional on it and things appear to be working better than ever Anyways I got a rocketfish bluetooth keyboard model RF-ABTKB for Christmas and I have been having a rough time with it-- kind of makes pairing keyboard initial bluetooth issue me wonder why I don t just get a different one But it makes a good puzzle for a tech at least When I go to add device Windows begins searching for the keyboard I push the connect button on the back of the keyboard and Windows detects it Then a window comes up that has a number I enter the number and press enter on the bluetooth keyboard and there is bluetooth keyboard initial pairing issue an obvious response as Windows moves on to the next steps and finishes installing it However when I type anything on the keyboard it has no visible effect on the screen The keyboard shows up under devices as quot Rocketfish Bluetooth Keyboard quot If I right click on the keyboard and go to properties then Bluetooth tab it looks like this at first After about bluetooth keyboard initial pairing issue ten seconds the keyboard apparently disconnects and it changes to look like this So if I hit the connect button in the above window I have to enter the numbers again bluetooth keyboard initial pairing issue and it does the same thing over I figure the problem could be with my bluetooth driver My system has a Dell truemobile Bluetooth EDR module built in Trouble is windows installs its own driver that overpowers any other ones I install and when I delete it it reinstalls it again I went into the system drivers folder and deleted the sys files it said it was using but it made them back the next time it detected my bluetooth I guess its unpacking them from somewhere because I don t think I was connected to the internet So I guess any suggestions are welcome especially if someone knows how to stop windows from installing its own drivers or how to force another driver on Thanks in advance nbsp
