I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/directdownload.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Your NI Measurement Studio driver appears to be causing problems.

Probably caused by : NIPALK.sys
It's outdated by 11 years, if you wish to keep the program I suggest you update the driver.

Memory exception but we need to examine the DMP files to find out why.

We do need the DMP file as it contains the only record of the sequence of events leading up to the crash, what drivers were loaded, and what was responsible.

If you are overclocking STOP
We could also use some system information, which you can get easily by running msinfo32.
To do that go to start>run>type msinfo32>enter

When it is finished running go to file>save>name it and upload to us here.
You may be able to get the DMP files without crashing by booting into safe mode (F8) with networking.

To enable us to assist you with your computer's BSOD symptoms, upload the contents of your "\Windows\Minidump" folder.

The procedure:

Quote:
* Copy the contents of \Windows\Minidump to another (temporary) location somewhere on your machine.
* Zip up the copy.
* Attach the ZIP archive to your post using the "paperclip" (file attachments) button.
*If the files are too large please upload them to a file sharing service like "Rapidshare" and put a link to them in your reply.

To ensure minidumps are enabled:

Quote:
* Go to Start, in the Search Box type: sysdm.cpl, press Enter.
* Under the Advanced tab, click on the Startup and Recovery Settings... button.
* Ensure that Automatically restart is unchecked.
* Under the Write Debugging Information header select Small memory dump (256 kB) in the dropdown box (the 256kb varies).
* Ensure that the Small Dump Directory is listed as %systemroot%\Minidump.
* OK your way out.
* Reboot if changes have been made.

Hey guys, the solution is simple - just increase the max file size! Go to:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\WMI\Autologger\ReadyBoot

The MaxFileSize key is a DWORD with a default decimal value of 20. Increase this to, say 60, and the problem will go away.

Luck to ya!

Hello !

There is an unexpected reboot on a 2003 server R2 Std SP1.

I see the following messages on the Windows Events :

Event 1001, BugCheck
The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x00000027 (0x00000000baad0073, 0xfffff88009264038, 0xfffff88009263890, 0xfffff88003684a3a). A dump was saved in: C:\Windows\MEMORY.DMP. Report Id: 082615-14913-01.

Event 41, Kernel-Power
The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly.

I took the MEMORY.DUMP from the server and put it on my Workstation. I use BlueScreenView but it show nothing. I think it's because it use "minidump".

What should I do ? Did the Events (maybe the params) means something for you ?

Thanks for you help.

Can you provide information about your computer? make and model
if custom build then list the specs of the parts

In Windows, check your Power Options. Make sure that your Power Scheme is set to High Performance, and check that every option is set to ?Always On?.
Make sure you have installed all latest drivers and firmware, especially for your motherboard and CPU.
Reboot your computer and go to your BIOS settings. Make sure that your power settings are set to maximum. This differs from computer to computer.

i have got the solution to event id 37 , so i probably thought to share it with everyone. this error is caused due to the settings in BIOS. it has to do with INTEL SPEEDSTEP TECHNOLOGY. if your system supports and or intel speedstep technology is installed ,then 1. then go to your BIOS settings and under power options 2. DISABLE intel spedstep technology ( by default this is enabled ) 3. now restart the system.  the said workaround was provided to me by intel support staff. thanks

Hi bilbi,

There seems to be a power issue on the kernel, however this can be caused by many things and is not solely indicative of a power loss. It's a good place to start though. I see by the computer name that this is a laptop? Was it running on batteries or power when the issue occured?
Are there many USB (or other external) deveices plugged in to it?

Head off to your manufacturers website and download the latest drivers (don't use windows update as these may not be the newest available). Update everything! note: For chipset drivers you may want to check with AMD or intel directly.

The bug report suggests that your wireless drivers are the culprit (netw5v64.sys). you may want to start with these first.

Ok, my system is slowing down when I do large file transfers (transfer goes from 60M/s to 2M/s after zero io for about 10 min).

Anyway, I am now combing through the Event Viewer + resource monitor and I came across "event 35" with the source kernel-processor-power the text associated says "Performance power management features on process or 1 in group 0 are disabled due to a firmware problem. Check with the computer mfgr for updated firmware" - anyway I have a bunch of these errors.

Googled for 'event 35' and found nothing - anyone have more detail on this event and how to solve it?

A:ERROR - Event 35 - Kernel-Processor-Power - ?????

Try:
- Action Center
- Go to Start and type in "perfmon /rel" (without the quotes) and press Enter
- Go to Start and type in "perfmon /report" (without the quotes) and press Enter
- Go to Start and type in "compmgmt.msc" (without the quotes) and press Enter
Then check the different areas there (especially the Windows Application and System log files in Event Viewer) for further information.

Recently I noticed a game that I had been playing had started to stutter and slowdown more than usual the performance issues were to be expected as the games ID Kernel-Processor-Power Event (Warning) 37 engine is notorious for being poorly Kernel-Processor-Power Event ID 37 (Warning) optimized however these occurrences were fairly rare in comparison to the issues i'm experiencing now It seems Kernel-Processor-Power Event ID 37 (Warning) for the last two days the performance of said game had been dismal where i'd get a mostly consistent frame-rate before I now only have a stutter riddled mess Looking through the Event Log I noticed a entry shown as Kernel-Processor-Power Event ID the text below it shows this 'The speed of processor in group is being limited by system firmware The processor has been in this reduced performance state for seconds since the last report' the entry had been generated at ' pm' of today which I found odd as I believe that's when I started my game This had not been the only instance it seems there were some entries from a few weeks back that show the same thing however they were few and far in between It seem I have entries all from today am pm pm all warnings Is there anyway to fix this If so please respond Thank You in Advance -Arcturus Fyr

A:Kernel-Processor-Power Event ID 37 (Warning)

Hi Arcturus,

This is a BSOD analysis thread but I will try my best to assist although more experienced users should be there in the Performance and Maintenance section of this forum.

According to the message above, it seems that your BIOS is restricting the processor. Have you made some recent changes in the BIOS? Or are you using any software to reduce the processor performance.

Try setting the Power Options to High Performance mode and see if the stutter exists. There might be dust related problems as well in your CPU, so cleaning them would be a good option as well.

Also, by any chance did you get any BSOD as well?

OK so I have been getting this error in my event viewer since forever.
I don't really know what to update since its a custom built pc and its quite old but I didn't have the error when I had xp half a year ago

So I'm putting this here, if you think its supposed to be somewhere else please move the thread

Here it goes:

Some processor performance power management features have been disabled due to a known firmware problem. Check with the computer manufacturer for updated firmware.

Recently I noticed a game that I had been playing had started to stutter and slowdown more than usual the performance issues ID 37 (Warning Event entry) Level Kernel-Processor-Power were to be expected as the games engine is notorious for being poorly optimized however these occurrences were fairly rare in comparison to the issues i'm experiencing now It seems for the last two days the performance of said game had been dismal where i'd get a mostly consistent frame-rate before I now only Kernel-Processor-Power Event ID 37 (Warning Level entry) have a stutter riddled mess Looking through the Event Log I noticed a entry shown as Kernel-Processor-Power Event ID the text below it shows this 'The speed of processor in group is being limited by system firmware The processor has been in this reduced performance state for seconds since the last report' the entry had been generated at ' pm' of today which I found odd as I believe that's when I started my game This had not been the only instance it seems there were some entries from a few weeks back that show the same thing however they were few and far in between It seem I have entries all from today am pm pm all warnings Is there anyway to fix this If so please respond Thank You in Advance -Arcturus Fyr P S I posted this on the wrong topic section yesterday so this info is 'dated' in that regard

I send You as You suggest Windows_NT6_BSOD_jcgriff2 and PERFMON HTML folder to help me to fix this problem.

I have original preinstalled Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bits on my 3 months old laptop which is released in this year.I use this version since I got this laptop, I didn't make reinstall.
Thank You for Your help and I hope You'll help me to fix this issue.

Your upload did not contain any DMP files Please use these and try it again

We really need the actual DMP file.

If you wish to have others assist you with your computer's BSOD symptoms, upload the contents of your "\Windows\Minidump" folder. The procedure:

* Copy the contents of \Windows\Minidump to another (temporary) location somewhere on your machine.
* Zip up the copy.
* Start your own thread in the "Crashes and Debugging" section of the forum and attach the ZIP archive to your post using the "paperclip" (file attachments) button.
* Briefly describe the problem history and circumstances in the same post. Somebody will attend to your query as soon as possible.

Alright, so this PC likes to randomly crash and freeze. The entire system locks up and becomes non-responsive, generally while I am gaming. The only way I can get it to desktop is to do a hard reset. I have monitored my GPU temperatures and none of them have went above 65 Celsius on full load.

Basic information:
Windows 7 Professional 64-bit ( original OS )
OEM
The system itself was built less than a year ago.
No, I have not reinstalled the OS at any time.

To cover every base I know, I am uploading my DxDiag information as well.
Any and all assistance that can be rendered, I would like to thank everyone in advance for.

So to give an update.
I've run a memory test using the windows diagnostic system, and ran the Ram through 12 passes, no errors came up from it. My drivers are updated, and I never receive any intermittent heat warnings, or anything of that nature.
I've tried placing an older video card in, with a gtx 260 nvidia by an eVga and continue getting the same results.

A:Random BSOD in WIndows 7 Kernel-Power Event ID 41

Hi DrillHead.

You are having various bugchecks, and all are referring to memory. Not necessarily the RAM, but may be some drivers are failing.

Test your RAM modules for possible errors.
How to Test and Diagnose RAM Issues with Memtest86+
Run memtest for at least 8 passes, preferably overnight.

If it start showing errors/red lines, stop testing. A single error is enough to determine that something is going bad there.

If it does not show any error, enable Driver Verifier to monitor the drivers.
Driver Verifier - Enable and Disable
Run Driver Verifier for 24 hours or the occurrence of the next crash, whichever is earlier.

   Information
Why Driver Verifier:
It puts a stress on the drivers, ans so it makes the unstable drivers crash. Hopefully the driver that crashes is recorded in the memory dump.

How Can we know that DV is enabled:
It will make the system bit of slow, laggy.

   Warning
Before enabling DV, make it sure that you have earlier System restore points made in your computer. You can check it easily by using CCleaner looking at Tools > System Restore.

If there is no points, make a System Restore Point manually before enabling DV.

   Tip

If you fail to get on the Desktop because of DV, Boot into Advanced Boot Options > Safe mode. Disable DV there. Now boot normally again, and try following the instruction of enabling DV again.
If you cannot boot in Safe mode too, do a System Restore to a point you made earlier.

Let us know the results, with the subsequent crash dumps, if any.

My laptop is Asus X550LNV . Before I did the reset, the sleep mode is working, but hibernation and fastboot because it is sort of hibernation the S4 mode is working. so i did a reset. I after I restore my computer with factory reset, my computer can't wake from sleep mode, instead it will automatically shutdown, and the hibernation mode is not working too. When I try to wake up from hibernation, it will automatically shut down too.

A:Windows 8.1 Wake Restart (error)(Event 41, Kernel-Power)

There are no memory dumps in the uploaded reports, and there are no signs of BSOD's in the WER section of MSINFO32.
Please do the following:
- open Event Viewer (run eventvwr.msc from the "Run" dialog)
- expand the Custom Views category (left click on the > next to the words "Custom Views")
- right click on Administrative Events
- select "Save all Events in Custom View as..."
- save the file as Admin.evtx
- zip up the file (right click on it, select "Send to", select "Compressed (zipped) folder")
- upload it with your next post (if it's too big, then upload it to a free file-hosting service and post a link here).

FYI - If we're looking for Event ID 41 errors (unexplained shutdowns), there's more info on that here: Windows Kernel event ID 41 error "The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first" in Windows 8.1, Windows 8, Windows Server 2012 R2, Windows Server 2012, Windows 7, or Windows Server 2008 R2

Don't worry about the specific number, it's just important that you have checked and installed any updates that were available (and didn't experience any errors).

A:Kernel-Power Event ID 41, system freezes unexpectedly

Hi

The BSOD are caused due to Direct X... try reinstalling it ..... also once you have done it .... reinstall the graphics drivers as well with a clean install....

But... it would be nice if you follow the Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) Posting Instructions and post the rest of the files.

it would help us narrow the actual problem... if the above doesnt work.

Hi,
I was going through the windows security logs with event id 5156 and 5157 to figure out what executable s are getting allowed and blocked. However I am unable to do so, because the source name in security log shows as 'System' instead of showing the executable
name. Can anyone help me to figure out what is the actual exe getting allowed and blocked?

Hi Johnny.

From the start to the end, there is one event predominantly present in the event log.

Guessing this one is one of your USB discs. In that case, I would suggest you to update nusb3xhc.sys, NEC Electronics USB 3.0 Host Controller Driver . It is too old.

You can try to get your appropriate driver from RENESAS/NEC Drivers & Firmwares.

Also, uninstall intel rapid storage. First uninstall it from Control Panel > Programs and Features. Then Uninstall the driver from device manager.
Right click on "my computer" icon and click "manage" on the context menu.
It will open the "computer management" window.
Select "Device Manager" in the left pane, It will list all the existing devices up.
Expand "IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers" by clicking on the triangle in front of it.
Select one Intel device item under it, right click, uninstall.
Continue the process for all Intel items under "IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers"
Now restart the computer. At restart, windows will auto configure the appropriate native system driver.
Do some Disc checks.
Update your SSD's Firmware
Reseat the sata and power.

Run chkdsk /f/r, following the option two of the tutorial Disk Check
Seatool for dos: SeaTools | Seagate download Burn it in a blank cd. boot from the CD, click on "Accept", wait for it to finish detecting the drives, then in the upper left corner select "Basic Tests", then select "Long Test" and let it run.
You can use Win32 DiscImager to create a bootable USB and run Seatools for DOS. Follow this post to know how to make a bootable Seatools USB.

Scan the system for possible virus infection with the following programs only.
Anti-rootkit utility TDSSKiller
Windows Defender Offline
Let us know when done. If the issue persists, we have to take a different approach.

Please remove Daemon Tools and run the SPTD pass through remover.

Uninstall Daemon ToolsDownload the SPTD standalone installer and follow these steps:
Double click the executable to open itClick on the button shown below

If the button is grayed out, like in the image, there is no more SPTD installation on your system, and you can close the window

EDIT: ARGH, sorry, meant to post this in General Discussion forum, I have no idea if it is a network issue.

Hello everyone,

I keep seeing this error appear several times a day, even during idle, in my Event Viewer. I did a clean install of build 10586 less than a month ago. I'm not having any overt issues yet, but the error is disturbing.

SettingSyncHost (9144) {979B90BD-0F81-4D83-B038-62032DD17C47}: Database C:\Users\xxxxx\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\SettingSync\metastore\meta.edb: Index deleteDetection of table items is corrupted (0).
I have spent a few hours researching this and I can't find any reports of similar issues or even what the file metastore\meta.edb is for. Is this hopefully one I can just rename and it'll automatically create a new one?

Welcome to the forums Marioo!

Have you tried a system restore to a point before these errors started? (Easiest things first) You could also try a sfc/scannow, to find and possibly repair any corrupted system files. We have many fine tutorials here at the forums, written by some very knowledgeable people, heres a link to one if you haven't did this before :

SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

A:Event Viewer Warning - Source e1yexpress - Event ID 27

Well after trying everything google came up with to try, including updating drivers to the latest version, rolling drivers back to the default Win7 version, disabling SIPS and a few others things I decided to call Verizon and see what they had to say. As soon as I told Verizon Tech Support that my error code was "e1yexpress - Event ID is 27
Intel(R) 82567V-2 Gigabit Network Connection Link has been disconnected", they told me not our problem take your PC to a shop. I called back a couple of hours later and talked to a different person and this time I only said that I was getting the Event 1014 time out errors. They had me do a few things in a cmd prompt and then said we do not know, but we can send you a router, I said fine, I will try the router.

Well it has been over a week since installing the new router and no error codes at all so it was the router!

Issue: Kernel-Power Event ID 41 (63)

My computer randomly shuts down. It happens mostly when I leave the computer running and walk away for an extended period of time (couple hours). I have done research and tried to install/update a number of drives but still continue to have the issue.

A:Win 7 Kernel-Power Event ID 41 (63)

Kernel-Power Event ID 41 simply means what you already know the PC shut down unexpectedly either on it's own or because it bsod'd and you cut the power or hit the reset switch.

Assuming it does it shut off without a BSOD lets get a look at the temps and voltages.
D/L and run Hardware Monitor do something intense like a virus scan or gaming for a bit, Alt+Tab back to HWM expand all the trees and use the Win7 snipping tool to grab a screen shot of the HWM window, post the screen shot using the paperclip button in the advanced message box(Go Advanced button).

Of the 6 .dmp files from this year 5 are blaming a native Windows driver pci.sys which is most likely means it is the driver finding a fault and calling for a stop.
1 blaming the Nvidia driver.

If the Bsod's are continuing lets run driver verifier and see if it pokes a rouge driver into revealing itself.
> Follow the instructions here, make sure to set a restore point before enabling verifier, also if you do not have Windows disk create a Windows repair disk verfier set up instructions here>
http://www.techsupportforum.com/foru...ed-473665.html

And of run Memtest86+ to test the ram, you have quite a bit of ram so testing for 6 passes will take quite a bit of time.
D/L Memtest+ Here are some helpful instructions > How to perform a MemTest86+ Test | Tech Support Forum

Hi all I've read through the responses for this same issue related to Windows but am not familiar enough with Windows to know if the same fixes would apply I got my new ASUS laptop on Mother's Day this year and the first event happened a week later I've had this same event happen times since then as shown by the attached image I'm comfortable with computers but am not an IT person so I'm not comfortable performing tasks within my system - fix? event how 41 Kernel-power to unless I know what the heck I'm doing or why I have no clue why this is happening Suggestions from the W forum said overclocking it's not heat this last time it had been in sleep mode while I was out and within moments of waking it up it crashed sudden loss of power it's plugged in AND has battery left and so on In other words it doesn't appear to be related to any of those things It just randomly happens Can someone please tell me why this keeps happening and how to fix it I've been very disappointed in my new laptop since getting it I've NEVER had such issues with a new computer before Oh and I thoroughly dislike Windows and I doubt I'm alone in that view Thanks

A:Kernel-power 41 event - how to fix?

Just my two cents but consider yourself very lucky to have only received 6 of those Event ID 41 notices over a two-month timeframe. This is a fairly common anomaly and if it doesn't happen on regular basis, I wouldn't worry about it at all.

Hi. I recently did a fresh install of Windows 8.1 because of this problem and thought that would fix it. After a few days my computer would freeze with a loud sound coming through the speakers and then restart automatically after. The event viewer lists Kernel-Power event ID 41. This is also a brand new computer I built.

Just got this new computer earlier this month and since I have had 3 BSOD's. The first happened while watching a Youtube Video, the second while watching Plex, and the third while I was watching Twitch. They come up with the same error each time and it's "Kernel-Power" Event ID 41 Task Category (63) I am BEGGING someone to help me figure out what it could be and help me fix it. This is a brand new computer and I was hoping to have some solution or idea as to what it could be. I have attached what I believe it the proper .dmp zip of the most recent event.

Thank you SO MUCH to everyone in advance for helping me through this.

EDIT: I have attached all 3 of the .dmp's from all 3 crashes.

So sorry for posting it in the wrong thread earlier!

A:Kernel power event 41, please help!

We do need the actual DMP file as it contains the only record of the sequence of events leading up to the crash, what drivers were loaded, and what was responsible.

It is almost impossible to spot trends from a single DMP file so if you have m ore than one please upload them. If you only have one please wait until the computer crashes again then upload both.

You may be able to get the DMP files without crashing by booting into safe mode (F8) with networking.

To enable us to assist you with your computer's BSOD symptoms, upload the contents of your "\Windows\Minidump" folder.

The procedure:

* Copy the contents of \Windows\Minidump to another (temporary) location somewhere on your machine.
* Zip up the copy.
* Attach the ZIP archive to your post using the "paperclip" (file attachments) button.
*If the files are too large please upload them to a file sharing service like "Rapidshare" and put a link to them in your reply.
To ensure minidumps are enabled:

* Go to Start, in the Search Box type: sysdm.cpl, press Enter.
* Under the Advanced tab, click on the Startup and Recovery Settings... button.
* Ensure that Automatically restart is unchecked.
* Under the Write Debugging Information header select Small memory dump (256 kB) in the dropdown box (the 256kb varies).
* Ensure that the Small Dump Directory is listed as %systemroot%\Minidump.
* OK your way out.
* Reboot if changes have been made.

I keep getting a Kernel Power Critical error 41 at random times. I have no rhyme or reason to decipher why the crashes are occurring. Here are my dumps.

A:Kernel Power 41 Event

Hi.

They're memory type of errors associated with different drivers and .exe.

Check that the correct Vdimm (RAM voltage) and timings are set in the bios specific to your RAM modules. Visit RAM maker's site for details and adjust accordingly.

Edit - According to this (if it's for your specific RAM modules), 1.5v is default so leave that alone. You could set timings to 9-9-9-24 though.

Run Memtest overnight to see if it picks up on any errors.

Hello,

I would start by updating this old, 2005 driver. One of most causes of BSOD. See the instruction below regarding on updating it.

Code:
fffff880`0417d000 fffff880`04185000 ASACPI ASACPI.sys Mon Mar 28 15:30:36 2005 (42476C4C)

Quote:
The 2005 version of this driver is a known BSOD cause.
Please visit this link: ASUSTeK Computer Inc.-Support- download_item_mkt
Scroll down to the Utilities category, then scroll down to the "ATK0110 driver for WindowsXP/Vista/Windows 7 32&64-bit " (it's about the 8th item down).
Download and install it.
Go to C:\Windows\System32\drivers to check and make sure that the ASACPI.sys file is date stamped from 2009 or 2010 (NOT 2005).

Please follow the instructions here> http://www.techsupportforum.com/foru...ta-452654.html

Also D/L Memtest+ burn it to a CD using a free program like Imgburn if you need one then boot from the CD to test the ram, let it run for at least 6 passes or until you see an error.
Memtest on a bootable CD is more conclusive then the Windows Memory test.

Hi I Build this PC in April so its about months old It did 41, Kernel-Power Event run perfectly without any serious errors until now Now i experience the system hanging so i can't move the mouse anymore and pushing the quot Caps Lock quot or Event 41, Kernel-Power the quot Event 41, Kernel-Power Scroll Lock quot on the Keyboard don't turn on the respective lights on it so i guess it's a hard hang In the Event Viewer i see a quot Event Kernel-Power quot critical event and i had this event so far times The first time it happened at and there it has some bug-check parameters All later events twice that day also twice don't show any Bug-check parameters at all only a zero value As far as i could investigate it's probably a hardware error but i not rule out that a software error could be the culprit The only Hardware change this PC got apart from its building in April was a External Hard drive i bought towards end of November a Western Digital My Book But it's got it's own power source and it's not always running so it can not be that my PSU is to weak I run the SF Diagnostic Tool with quot grab all quot and put the zip to this thread so i save myself to list up what's in my PC I hope someone can tell me where to start with the repairs those freezes annoy me One more thing it seems to mostly happen when i am AFK and let the PC do something like download a big file or big file movement to and from the external HD When i come back i hear a weird noise coming from the PC probably from the Ventilators not turning at correct speeds Thank You all in advance

A:Kernel-Power - Event ID 41 - Pls help

Hi ramon82,

Thread has been moved to App/Crashes/Hangs part of the forum instead. The Kernel-Power error is mostly common when the computer doesn't have enough power to keep all components running. Meaning your PSU is most likely damaged/about to die, or you have hardware that drains more power than your PSU can deliver.

Please get back to us with your computers specification.

As a general tip;
Try removing all external harddrives, webcams etc (everything USB/External that drains power from the computer) and run with Mouse/Keyboard only, and see if it reoccurs.

A:Kernel Power Event 41

Hi there,

We do need the DMP file as it contains the only record of the sequence of events leading up to the crash, what drivers were loaded, and what was responsible.

If you are overclocking STOP

You may be able to get the DMP files without crashing by booting into safe mode (F8) with networking.

To enable us to assist you with your computer's BSOD symptoms, upload the contents of your "\Windows\Minidump" folder.

The procedure:

Quote:
* Copy the contents of \Windows\Minidump to another (temporary) location somewhere on your machine.
* Zip up the copy.

* OK your way out.
* Reboot if changes have been made.

Upload Dump Files:
Please go to C:\Windows\Minidump and zip up the contents of the folder. Then upload/attach the .zip file with your next post.
Left click on the first minidump file.
Hold down the "Shift" key and left click on the last minidump file.
Right click on the blue highlighted area and select "Send to"
Select "Compressed (zipped) folder" and note where the folder is saved.
Upload that .zip file with your next post.

If you have issues with "Access Denied" errors, try copying the files to your desktop and zipping them up from there. If it still won't let you zip them up, post back for further advice.

If you don't have anything in that folder, please check in C:\Windows for a file named MEMORY.DMP. If you find it, zip it up and upload it to a free file hosting service - then post the link to it.
Then, follow the directions here to set your system for Minidumps (much smaller than the MEMORY.DMP file): Set MiniDump

A:UMDF Reflector fails to start (event 10114, Driverframeworks-Usermode) resulting in WUDFRd failed to load... (event 219, Kernel-PnP)

Hmm.  Now that is interesting.
In my System event log I was getting an NTFS error (57: Failed to flush tlog).  I didn't think it was from my HDD, so using diskpart, I ran a 'CLEAN ALL' on my SD card, then recreated the FS as exFAT (previously it was NTFS).
Seems to be working now, although I'm getting VDS Basic Provider errors (Unexpected failure.  Error code:
[email protected]) "which can be safely ignored" (re: KB979391).
This begs the question: if it can be safely ignored, why is it raised in the first place?
Boot time is also restored to an acceptable timescale.

I have been having random BSOD's for two months now. Attached is the SF file.

I triple boot Windows 7, Linux Mint & Arch. Mint & Arch are fine, Windows 7 is crashing. i would appreciate any help or advice.

SFC/Scannow was run

Check Disk run

One virus scan run and only one virus program installed

Malwarebytes Pro run with no issues found.

I do have a ATI 5870 which I have read is problematic.

Thanks everyone!

This bug-check was caused by the ATI Driver. I would suggest you to run Display Driver Uninstaller from this **LINK** and then uninstall the currently installed ATI Drivers. Once they are uninstalled, install the drivers from the Driver Media provided by the manufacturer. If it still doesn't help, try installing a driver couple of versions before the current one.

Furthermore, it appears that your BIOS is outdated. I would suggest you to update the BIOS. Kindly note that the flashing of BIOS can be a very unforgiving process and a minute mistake could leave your motherboard bricked or dead.
Visit the below link to the downloads page for your motherboard -
GIGABYTE - Motherboard - Socket 1155 - GA-P67A-UD3 (rev. 1.0)

Also, report back the temperatures of the system using this free Utility CoreTemp. Report back the temperatures when your system is idle and under heavy load.

Kindly remove Daemon Tools till the time we are troubleshooting as it is known to cause problems sometimes.

Below is a list of 3rd party drivers present on your system :-

Hi a few weeks ago I begun experiencing sudden computer crashes when running select games on my Sony Vaio Win laptop 41 kernel Event Power error It all began with a BSOD happened once in a while so I ignored it and now it just suddenly crashes with no BSOD and no error report other than a reported event in the event viewer Windows Kernel event ID error quot The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first quot I have looked all over the internet for fixes I ran temperature checks on CPU and GPU sent in my laptop for repairs blew out the vents with Event 41 kernel Power error compressed air got new thermal paste got Event 41 kernel Power error a new PSU and did a repair install of Windows ran memtest for hours with no issue and yet the problem still persists The interesting thing is that it only crashes when I run SOME games for example Torchlight Darksiders and Deus Ex HR they run perfectly fine but when I try to play League of Legends or Kingdoms of Amalur it crashes I have tried changing power settings using power saver mode etc but it does not help I really have no idea why it is happening the laptop is about years old and never had a problem before

I've been Event ID 41, error... Kernel-Power getting periodic errors event ID that states The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first This error could be caused if the system stopped responding crashed or lost power unexpectedly Well I didn't loose power the system stopped responding but didn't crash with a BSOD The frequency of this error seems random that hangs the system and then reboots without warning The event ID is always proceeded by two event ID information level about the quot FilterManager quot There seems to be no rime and reason as to why this event is taking place I could be just browsing the web with FF IE working on some MS Office documents business programs etc and boom down she goes The KB article points to hardware failure overheating overclocking etc but The system runs with default clock settings neither the CPU nor the memory overclocked This system also runs Windows SP Professional -bits dual-boot that has no issues with random reboots or any other problems for that matter Is there a way to disable loading the quot FilterManager quot for testing purposes

A:Event ID 41, Kernel-Power error...

What drivers are loaded by the FilterManager before the crash? Are they the same for every crash? Event id 6 may be more useful for troubleshooting than event id 41 that just states that the system crashed and was automatically restarted. www.eventid.net suggests updating all the drivers, firmware, BIOS, etc., resetting the BIOS settings (jut in case), run hardware diagnostics, though if it works fine in Windows 7 is most probably a driver compatibility issue.
