I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/directdownload.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Hello there 2.1 none? 1.0, RAM-errors, BIOS -> (BSODs) BIOS I ve been (BSODs) BIOS 1.0, RAM-errors, BIOS 2.1 -> none? having unpredictable BSOD s ever since I built this computer They aren t very frequent but since I ve had two over days I want to track this problem down System specifications CPU Intel Core Quad Motherboard Gigabyte EP C-DS R RAM Corsair Dominator PC x Harddrive Seagate Barracuda gb GFX XFX GT PSU Corsair W The initial problem started just after I ran the computer I had a BSOD so I can Memtest to check for errors I got heaps of them so (BSODs) BIOS 1.0, RAM-errors, BIOS 2.1 -> none? I updated the BIOS and to my great surprise all the errors seeemed to have disappeared Afterwards I ran my computer and had few BSOD s a month Just yesterday I realized my RAM were running V so I bumped them to V as recommended but I got another BSOD today which was only shown for second and the computer restarted compared to my usual ones being constant Code BugCheck F bab d Probably caused by Unknown Image ANALYSIS INCONCLUSIVE Old ones being Code BugCheck E c bfc f b bec b e Probably caused by nv disp dll nv disp c Code BugCheck E c e d a fca Probably caused by ntkrpamp exe nt NtQueryPerformanceCounter Code BugCheck E c b fb e Probably caused by nv disp dll nv disp c ab Now some of them point at the Nvidia driver After the first Nvidia BSOD I cleaned my drivers completely even Driver Cleaner Pro and updated to the newest drivers so I don t think it s a faulty driver problem It s very easy to conclude that it can be the GFX RAM motherboard CPU or PSU but seeing I can t afford to replace all this I need to find the exact culprit Thanks in advance - help is much appreciated nbsp

A:(BSODs) BIOS 1.0, RAM-errors, BIOS 2.1 -> none?

Update: Just today I noticed a faint "clicking" sound I believe is coming from the harddrive. It's probably just the usual sound of the harddrive, but it must've become louder since I can hear it.
Might a faulty harddrive be a part of it?

EDIT: For some reason this was only noticeable during the first 20-30 minutes of system uptime.

Hello Guys Having abit of a problem obviously It all started a week ago when I noticed the cpu temp was abit too high I BIOS errors opened it up and removed some layers of dust from the heatsink below the cpufan Put all pieces together and reboot Then I got a CMOS Checksum Error so I went into BIOS and choosed Fail-Safe Settings save and exit No error msg now but it just reboots everytime it gets to the BIOS errors winxp logo How annoying Anyway I ve tried a few things but since I m really no computerguru I didnt want to go too far myself Here s a list of things I BIOS errors ve tried and obviously didnt work -Inserted Ultimate Boot CD and checked the RAM s -Changed the CMOS Battery -Tried to reinstall windows or atleast repair it but it wouldnt let me I got to the point when it checks the hardware then I received a blue Stop Error Screen the first try Second try I got a black screen which told me something like this quot TRAP EXC PTION quot Thing is that I can progress into windows If I clear the CMOS with the jumper on my mobo and then press F continue when booting But that s the only way I have to do that everytime I want to restart The CMOS Checksum Error isnt constant sometimes it says quot CPU settings has been changed or cpu ratio quot I m all out of clues here anyone nbsp

A:BIOS errors

Couple suggestions

First you might want to get yourself some sylicon to put on your CPU before putting the heatsink back on it. Just make sure you clean off any old sylicon from CPU and heatsink.

Also I've seen similar problems with Windows XP not booting, rebooting or not installing with various errors and blue screens cause by incorect CPU and/or RAM clock speeds in the BIOS.

It's not always an easy task to figure out what the clock speed is for a CPU. You might have to do some research on you motherboard and CPU website or manuals to figure that out.

Good luck.

A:Bios Beep Errors

If it took a power surge and fried components - I would now start suspecting the power suppply. No voltage or bad voltage to memory may mislead the logic to think it is bad memory.

These three errors were in my event viewer today. I don't mind contacting my system vendor (Dell) for tech assistance, but before I do, I'd sure appreciate some information on what this is all about. A:Bios, Irq, Pci Slot Errors

It doesn't specify what devices they are - so that'd be the first thing to do...identify which one's they are (not easy, I've tried this before and wasn't able to do it). First place to check is the Device Manager - after that it's looking at system specs, system info, and device properties reports to tie a physical device to a PCI slot. But, the slots aren't necessarily the ones that you can see on the motherboard - there's also internal PCI slots that you can't see.

Might also be a BIOS issue since it involves ACPT and all occur at the same time. (just a guess)

Are you having any problems? I've seen similar errors in several system (but not this many) and have found that they don't seem to cause any issues. I believe that the IRQ issues are sorted out later on as the system continues to try and assign IRQ's (check the Information entries after this to see if any report success).

Good luck!

Keep getting checksum errors everytime I try to flash my bios on an ASUS A7N8X Deluxe.

It isn't that old (2004) so I don't think the batttery is dead. In fact the whole PC was bought and built last May. So far I have tried 5 disks each formatted 3Xtimes fully to weed out any random errors and I have tried 4 different bios versions. 1011 - 1014.

is there anyway to raw write to the C drive so It can be seen on a dos boot. Previous bios versions and the newest award flash utility are saved on my drive and remain there when I reboot. I just can't find them when booted in windows.

now each time I saved the bios utility there as well. so why isn't the damn bios utility never corupt???

A:Bios Flash: Check Sum Errors???

Hey, im havin similar probs and its soo damn annoying! Where you flashing from? WIndows or Alt+F2 at POST. Whats your motherboard rev number? The bios's u have used, are they from? the Asus UK site?

If you have a backup of old I suggest you find a way to get it off the hdd and onto a floppy disk! Your so lucky to have that.... I don't, and im kinda regretting it!

oh by the way how come you are flashing your bios anyway?

Hi everyone I'm having a problem with my HDD Last night my computer was working perfectly fine but this morning while my bios HDD in repair issues bios, in also errors was starting I received 'Reboot and select a proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device' on the screen I'll tell you I have one HDD which is partitioned into C with all the system files and D with stuff I just want to put in it I noticed when I went into the bios no Slave IDE was detected I am not sure whether this has anything to do with the problem I can't remember if there was one because there are not two HDDs But anyway I put in my windows install disc select repair and in there it cannot detect anything for some reason Then I just continue into command prompt run diskpart and type in 'select disk ' and it returns 'the disk you specified in not valid' I'm a bit confused as to what has happened since I didn't really do anything HDD errors in bios, also issues in repair to it between the time it was working and the time it was not Help would be really appreciated

A:HDD errors in bios, also issues in repair

Numaholic, if your hard drive isn't detected in BIOS, it's usually a bad physical connection like the power or data cable or a bad hard drive. Do you know what type of drive it is, IDE or SATA? IDE uses the 2" wide ribbon cable, SATA uses the narrow, about 3/8" cable.

You could try reseating the power and data cables on the hard drive (PC tuned off). Do you hear the hard drive spin up when you power on the computer?

Hey guys, I am trying to find out how to contact the developement team for this model. 1. There is no windows 10 driver for usb 3. I am getting power surge error messages in windows 10. The Windows 7 driver does not work on windows 10 for usb 3, even if extracted and tried to manually install the INF. 2. Also the bios/uefi has various bugs causing hardware issues such as fan speeds, usb control, power settings etc. Thanks

My friends computer boots directly to the "Advance" tab on the BIOS screen where there are two errors. One is "CPU Internal Frequency" and "CPU Core." I tried restoring the defaults but the screen just went black, and I had to restart manually. Any Ideas on what could be causing this?

A:CPU boots to BIOS with two errors and won't restore to defaults

Reset your BIOS the old fassion way... LOL

1. Remove the CMOS battery, some people say for up to 2 hours.... i say remove the battery, unplug the power cable, then hold the power for about 1 min. (the leave power off for up to 2 hours+ is to let the Capacitors drain any residual charge they may have stored... holding the power button opens the circuit allowing all power to drain out)

Plug everything back in and BIOS reset.....

it is recommended that u update your bios.
as if u running an old box with XP, bound to get that ACPI error.
i found a way to fix it is. goto device manager, and reinstall the drivers under "computer".
but i hold no guarantee there own't be any problem coming up.
so far i had is, on some machine it won't poweroff but stay at the "your computer is now safe to shutdown"

o'wise try update ur bios.

Its a packard bell laptop and the system started to freeze for no reason No viruses Now I can usually only move the mouse pointer-if it lets me start windows at all xp As of tonight the system wouldnt let me even pass the startup screen it kept asking for a non existent system password to continue The system bios clock seems to reset itself too so I believe the whole problem to be related to the cmos battery My main question is how much should I roughly be expected to pay for a cmos battery much this errors-how boot, to problem? fix bios/clock cmos to battery a wont replace and installation from a general pc repair store The laptop is out of warranty so I dont really want to be spending just for Packard to find and wont boot, bios/clock errors-how much to replace a cmos battery to fix this problem? install one either The reason I need someone else to do wont boot, bios/clock errors-how much to replace a cmos battery to fix this problem? it is because this wont boot, bios/clock errors-how much to replace a cmos battery to fix this problem? particular packard system has the most awkward setup and therefore access to the battery is next to impossible as you can see from my slightly blurry photo- http img imageshack us img cmoslocation png there are only panels on the back of the machine that you can remove- hard drive ram and wifi card I think the cmos battery the circle is to the right of one of the panels under the casing I have tried removing the entire casing all screws and connections and even from the front trying to get to it by removing the keyboard but it proved impossible to me so Id rather get someone else to do it No doubt the difficulty is on purpose so that you would always send it to packard for repair and for a high price but this laptop is from and out of warranty so for how much should I have to pay in total from a third party repair shop I know the cmos batteries themselves if the type I need is easy to find are usually next to nothing in price but what would you pay for installation thanks for any help suggestions nbsp

A:wont boot, bios/clock errors-how much to replace a cmos battery to fix this problem?

If there's a dismantling guide for your laptop online you could try to fit a new battery yourself.
If you're ok with that post the exact model of your laptop and I/we will help you look.

Otherwise to get the best deal I would phone a few small local computer shops and compare their prices with big chains like PC World.

Wake from sleep is slow and I loose control over curser for 10 sec.

These are most of the errors and their numbers that I have been getting over the past 5 days.

Boot duration 100,101,109,103
Stanby duration 300

Driver caused delay
351 Thumbdrive driver delay
302 Peer-to-Peer Tunneling Protocol
302 RAS SSTP Miniport Call Manager
302 NVIDIA MCP Networking Function Driver
351 ACPI Driver for NT
302 RICOH SD/MMC Driver
Shut down delay 200, 201
Shut down caused by Services delays 203 many different services

I have done the boot and shutdown trace (Gathering a Startup, Shutdown, Sleep, Hibernate, or Reboot Trace[2]=Performance%20Maintenance) and have pm'ed you the link.

I am doing a clean install and would like to get these errors handled before I make an Image.
Thanks for your help!

A:Boot errors,shutdown errors, wake errors.

Those numbers are in milliseconds, so all of them added up isn't going to amount to anything. Your trace didn't merge (you have a kmode and a umode .etl file), so I'm merging this manually (meaning I may be missing some portion of the data - I would hope not, but it is possible). There are a couple of things here (the nvidia driver is causing network stack delays during boot, disk fragmentation is apparent, especially in the MFT, Windows Defender is enabled and scanning, heavily, during boot, etc), but I did find something interesting. the xmarks IE add-in seems to cause about a 10 second driver request at about the same time csc is loading, which also occurs at around the same time that an svchost is doing a scan of the registry (and a lot of random writes during read). I also notice that the system spends a lot of time on D:, but the disk information says the partition is C: on a Fujitsu MHW2160BH - that seems a bit odd, so I'm wondering which is which.

Ultimately, however, I am not sure it's anything you've done, per se, but it's a convergence of things here that are conspiring to slow your system. It might make sense to do a few things:
Stop/Disable Windows Defender, and replace it with an actual antivirus/antimalware product like Avast, MSE, etc.
Disable/remove xmarks temporarily - it's not doing you any favors
Run a manual disk defragmentation pass, and then defragment free space as well with defrag.exe (see /? for options)
Make sure your nvidia drivers are up to date - they aren't doing you any favors either, although you may not be able to do much about the perf hit they'll give during boot/resume, unfortunately

The delays here appear to be too many cooks in the disk I/O kitchen at the same time on a slow disk - that Fujitsu is a 5400RPM disk with only 8MB of cache (1st gen SATA, and designed for reductions in power consumption, not speed), which would explain two things - one, why it's I/O performance is slow, and two, why the cache is flushing so frequently. Ultimately, the disk is *really* slow in today's technological parlance, and it is especially important that be noted given all the I/O being thrown at it.

Sorry but I don't see any antivirus software running there and you have a lot of virus/trojan type processes running.

You need to do an on-line scan to remove the problems and also think about installing one (AVG is good, and its free). Then post a log back once that is cleaned up.

Issues I refer to include these to show how bad it is:

A:svchost errors, rundll errors, now the computer basically doesn't work

Hi Shaftmonky, and welcome to BleepingComputer.

If you have done a couple of repair installations then I would suspect the hdd drive. If you can find out who the manufacturer is you should go to their web site and download their diagnostic tool. You will need to burn it to a CD and then boot from it, you may need to changed the boot order in the BIOS so that the CD-ROM is the first device in the boot order, you will want to make the hdd the second device.

A:Bonjour Service Task Scheduling Errors on Windows 10 PC, 18,470 new errors

You can safely uninstall the 'Bonjour' service. As far as I know its only use on a Windows machine is if you happen to use an Apple Air printer. You should be able to uninstall it through the Control Panel.

Welcome to the BleepingComputer Forums. Since it has been a few days since you scanned your computer with HijackThis, we will need a new HijackThis log. If you have not already downloaded Random's System Information Tool (RSIT), please download Random's System Information Tool (RSIT) by random/random which includes a HijackThis log and save it to your desktop. If you have RSIT already on your computer, please run it again. Double click on RSIT.exe to run RSIT. Click Continue at the disclaimer screen. Please post the contents of log.txt. Thank you for your patience. Please see Preparation Guide for use before posting about your potential Malware problem. If you have already posted this log at another forum or if you decide to seek help at another forum, please let us know. There is a shortage of helpers and taking the time of two volunteer helpers means that someone else may not be helped. Please post your HijackThis log as a reply to this thread and not as an attachment. I am always leery of opening attachments so I always request that HijackThis logs are to be posted as a reply to the thread. I do not think that you are attaching anything scary but others may do so. While we are working on your HijackThis log, please: Reply to this thread; do not start another! Do not make any changes on your computer during the cleaning process or download/add programs on your computer unless instructed to do so. Do not run any other tool until instructed to do so! Let me know if any of the links do not work or if any of the tools do not work. Tell me about problems or symptoms that occur during the fix. Do not run any other programs or open any other windows while doing a fix. Ask any questions that you have regarding the fix(es), the infection(s), the performance of your computer, etc.Thanks.

Last night our second family PC Blue Screened with an 0x4E PFN_LIST_CORRUPT error which is a very strong indicator of corrupted memory.

Memory is Crucial Ballistix PC3200 (DDR 400) in a 4x512 (2 gigs) configuration in a socket 939 system Epox 9NPA+Ultra motherboard.

The specs on this memory are as follows: 2.8 voltage which the motherboard has it set at correctly as well as in 2T. The CAS is a designed 2-2-2-6 but mobo has it set at 3-4-4-8 which is probably due to the 4x512 configuration and 2T

Ran memtest and into the fifth PASS received 212 errors all in Test 5. I saw enough so I tested each stick individually for the minimum Passes of 7 and no errors on any of them even in test 5.

So I reinstalled all four sticks, checked the BIOS settings and ran Memtest again and in the very first PASS I received 20 errors in Test 5.

Any ideas?

A:4 Memory Sticks Installed = Errors; Individually Tested = Zero Errors

maybe i misread your testing method, but could it be a bad dimm?

A:Unable to run chkdsk. Need to fix disk errors and file system errors.

Hi .Not sure why you would get that message when accessing the Recovery Console, that's typically a message that occurs when a user is trying to install XP on a SATA drive but the SATA drivers are not included in the install process.XP Tablet Edition is considered to be a superset of XP Pro...so there's no version conflict. That would seem to indicate that your hard drive is experiencing problems which Windows cannot solve.http://www.fujitsu.com/us/services/computi.../utilities.htmlI would use Version 1.12, but it appears that either of the first two will do the job.LouisDon't bother with the short test, do the long/extended test.

Hi

Recently I am facing blue screen errors while gaming and recording with Nvidia ShadowPlay

There is not single error which I can name, as crashes produced many BOSD errors

Recent error was " Driver Expool Corrupted" while I was gaming Need for speed 2016 game with Nvidia Shadow recording on

Please also note that I had driver verifier signature validation ON as per guidelines of this forum, I will disable it now and let you know whether I have same error again

I have attached here two errors files for two different BSOD instances for your review and analysis

Please help

Thanks

A:Blue screen errors while gaming - random errors

It would be more helpful if you could provide the full set of files as requested in the BSOD Posting instructions

Have you run the Memtest86 test? It would be a good first step to thoroughly check your memory.

We just got the machine back from HP repair. Most of the computer was still intact. The weird thing is I can't get on banking sites. Certificate errors. Not sure if it's realted but any media player doesn't work and causes the error report window to pop up.

A:errors- can't access s type sites and players cause errors

What kind of certificate error? It says it is expired, check your system date to see if it is correct.

Have you tried the dism command in administrator command prompt ?

Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

I assume you have access to a command prompt since you said you ran sfc /scannow.

If so & you have restore points made you could try typing in rstrui.exe to get system restore to pop up & restore to a point before the present issue started.

I recently installed Windows using a clean install USB method as per MS's website I have a repeating error since Dec which is below I have tried to search for a solution but in most cases it only covers windows servers or shared point I have ran sfc scannow but it didn't detect any errors The other solutions involved editing the registry or rebuilding the perf library This is something I feel more comfortable doing with direct communication with errors Perflib 3009 errors and loadperf 1008 tech support rather than using support from threads dating back years covering other Perflib errors 1008 and loadperf errors 3009 OS such as Vista and even Win k I want to deal with one error at a time so will provide what information I can for the errors first If you need information for the errors let me know I have Perflib errors 1008 and loadperf errors 3009 not seen any obvious system issues However I just want to make sure either this is not a major issue or can be fixed The BITS service itself starts and runs as far as I know It is currently running The BITS error has been record times The NETFramework only once I am not that computer savvy but am capable enough to follow instruction Any help will be appreciated The Open Procedure for service quot BITS quot in DLL quot C Windows System bitsperf dll quot failed Performance data for this service will not be available The first four bytes DWORD of the Data section contains the error code The Open Procedure for service quot NETFramework quot in DLL quot C Windows system mscoree dll quot failed Performance data for this service will not be available The first four bytes DWORD of the Data section contains the error code Thank you

hi darius,

pretty awesome computer you got there. hmmmm......there could be a number of problems, which hdd is your primary boot drive? whichever one is it, try replacing the sata cable or ide cable with a spare cable.

also check out www.majorgeeks.com and download memtest86 from the memory category. then put the program in a floppy and bootup with it and test out your ram for any errors.

if you can too, install the latest chipset drivers for yoru motherboard, good luck.

I contracted the System Tool virus about a week ago and I think I successfully removed it by using Temp File Cleaner by OldTimer and then running Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Immediately after I solved that issue I started seeing the Google redirect issue where search result links were redirected to a handful of other sites intermittently I ve tried to detect and remove whatever is causing the issue with MBAM Ad-Aware and TDSSKiller I thought the TDSSKiller actually did it as the problem stopped for a while after I ran it last night but it was back again this afternoon so I ran MBAM again which turned up three infected objects and now my system is supposedly all clean again In addition to the Google redirect two rundll errors have errors, Rundll errors Redirect, Malwarebytes Google been popping up on start-up the errors report that wespgr dll and ujavozer dll are Google Redirect, Rundll errors, Malwarebytes errors both missing I m also getting the following error whenever I exit MBAM quot The instruction at quot x b quot referenced memory at quot x quot The memory could not be quot read quot Click on OK to terminate the program quot In addition I m getting a failure to initialize error when I start up the Sims Launcher which from what I ve found is usually caused by a registry issue The first DDS log is below and I ve attached the Attach txt DDS log and GMER ark txt log as well DDS Ver - - - NTFSx Run by Sam at on Mon Internet Explorer BrowserJavaVersion Microsoft Windows XP Professional GMT - AV Lavasoft Ad-Watch Live Anti-Virus Enabled Updated A C F E - FDE- -AFAE- EFC EDE Running Processes C WINDOWS system svchost -k DcomLaunch svchost exe C WINDOWS System svchost exe -k netsvcs svchost exe svchost exe C Program Files Lavasoft Ad-Aware AAWService exe C WINDOWS system spoolsv exe C WINDOWS system rundll exe C WINDOWS Explorer EXE C WINDOWS system RunDll exe C WINDOWS system RUNDLL EXE C Program Files Microsoft IntelliType Pro itype exe C Program Files Winamp winampa exe C Program Files NetRatingsNetSight NetSight NielsenOnline exe C Program Files NetRatingsNetSight NetSight NielsenOnline exe C Program Files iTunes iTunesHelper exe C Program Files Common Files Java Java Update jusched exe C Program Files Microsoft IntelliType Pro dpupdchk exe C Program Files DNA btdna exe C WINDOWS system ctfmon exe C Documents and Settings Sam Local Settings Application Data Google Update GoogleCrashHandler exe F xampp apache bin apache exe C Program Files Common Files Apple Mobile Device Support AppleMobileDeviceService exe C Program Files Bonjour mDNSResponder exe C Program Files Java jre bin jqs exe F xampp mysql bin mysqld exe F xampp apache bin apache exe C WINDOWS system nvsvc exe c Program Files Common Files Protexis License Service PsiService exe C WINDOWS system svchost exe -k imgsvc C Program Files iPod bin iPodService exe C WINDOWS System svchost exe -k HTTPFilter C Program Files Lavasoft Ad-Aware AAWTray exe C Program Files Mozilla Firefox firefox exe C Documents and Settings Sam Desktop dds scr Pseudo HJT Report uStart Page hxxp www google com uSearch Page hxxp www google com uSearch Bar hxxp www google com ie uInternet Settings ProxyOverride local uSearchURL Default hxxp www google com search q s mSearchAssistant hxxp www google com ie uURLSearchHooks Winamp Search Class bca fa- dbb- a -b - c f b - c program files winamp toolbar winamptb dll mURLSearchHooks Winamp Search Class bca fa- dbb- a -b - c f b - c program files winamp toolbar winamptb dll BHO Adobe PDF Link Helper df c-e ad- -a -fa c ebdc - c program files common files adobe acrobat activex AcroIEHelperShim dll BHO Winamp Toolbar Loader cee ec- - bc- b - ddc ab c - c program files winamp toolbar winamptb dll BHO Java Plug-In SSV Helper dbc -a - b-bc - c c c a - c program files java jre bin jp ssv dll BHO JQSIEStartDetectorImpl Class e e f - ce- c -bc -eabfe f c - c program files java jre lib deploy jqs ie jqs plugin dll TB Winamp Toolbar ebf ba - - c a- b-bb f d de - c pr... Hello 00Samm, Welcome to Bleeping Computer.
My name is fireman4it and I will be helping you with your Malware problem.

Please take note of some guidelines for this fix:
Refrain from making any changes to your computer including installing/uninstall programs, deleting files, modifying the registry, and running scanners or tools.
If you do not understand any step(s) provided, please do not hesitate to ask before continuing.
Even if things appear to be better, it might not mean we are finished. Please continue to follow my instructions and reply back until I give you the "all clean".
Finally, please reply using the button in the lower right hand corner of your screen. Do not start a new topic. The logs that you post should be pasted directly into the reply, unless they do not fit into the post.1.Spybot S&D or Ad-Aware are no longer recommendedmvps.org is no longer recommending Spybot S&D or Ad-Aware due to poor testing results. See here - (scroll down and read under Freeware Antispyware Products)
Further, most people don't understand Spybot's TeaTimer or how to use it and that feature can cause more problems than it's worth. TeaTimer monitors changes to certain critical keys in Windows registry but does not indicate if the change is normal or a modification made by a malware infection. The user must have an understanding of the registry and how TeaTimer works in order to make informed decisions to allow or deny the detected changes. Additionally, TeaTimer may conflict with other security tools which do a much better job of protecting your computer and even prevent disinfection of malware by those tools.
More effective alternatives are Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and SUPERAntiSpyware Free.2.Download and Run RKillPlease download RKill by Grinler from one of the 4 links below and save it to your desktop.

Link 1
Link 2
Link 3
Link 4
Before we begin, you should disable your anti-malware softwares you have installed so they do not interfere RKill running as some anti-malware softwares detect RKill as malicious. Please refer to this page if you are not sure how. Double-click on Rkill on your desktop to run it. (If you are using Windows Vista, please right-click on it and select Run As Administrator) A black screen will appear and then disappear. Please do not worry, that is normal. This means that the tool has been successfully executed. If nothing happens or if the tool does not run, please let me know in your next reply3.Install Recovery Console and Run ComboFixThis tool is not a toy. If used the wrong way you could trash your computer. Please use only under direction of a Helper. If you decide to do so anyway, please do not blame me or ComboFix.Download Combofix from any of the links below, and save it to your desktop. Link 1Link 2 Close/disable all anti-virus and anti-malware programs so they do not interfere with the running of ComboFix. Refer to this page if you are not sure how.Close any open windows, including this one.Double click on ComboFix.exe & follow the prompts. As part of it's process, ComboFix will check to see if the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console is installed. With malware infections being as they are today, it's strongly recommended to have this pre-installed on your machine before doing any malware removal. It will allow you to boot up into a special recovery/repair mode that will allow us to more easily help you should your computer have a problem after an attempted removal of malware. If you did not have it installed, you will see the prompt below. Choose YES.Follow the prompts to allow ComboFix to download and install the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console, and when prompted, agree to the End-User License Agreement to install the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console.**Please note: If the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console is already installed, ComboFix will continue it's malware removal procedures.Note:The Windows Recovery Console will allow you to boo... System Chain computer working at the moment it was having some issues with the RAM ie not reading all of it so I decided to mess Chain of Driver Errors (GPU, .NET framework) and Other System Errors. around with it a bit Chain of Driver Errors (GPU, .NET framework) and Other System Errors. and try and reconnect it Then I try to restart my computer but nothing happened After working through all the hardware figured out it was a Chain of Driver Errors (GPU, .NET framework) and Other System Errors. dead motherboard ASrock extreme So I sent it away to have it repaired replaced as it was still under warranty A month and a half later I get back the supposedly working replacement motherboard which when I tried to boot didn t work again and turned out to be dead again got the local service store to check to be sure weeks later and odd bucks later postage service fees etc I got fed up and tired of all the messing around that talking with retailer also I start university in a few days brought about so I just went out and bought another motherboard ASUS M A R and installed everything and it booted fine to windows and was super fun happy times Now onto to the problems that ensued and that I am currently trying to fix There is a few so I will list them in order of their apparent appearance to me Open up firefox for some quick browsing and to get the latest graphics driver but when I try to download it the error of quot X TempFiles User could not be saved because an unknown error occurred Try saving to a different location quot For which I tried changing the location of the downloads changing it back clearing the cache temp cookies etc with ccleaner clearing entire temp folder in C Users username AppData Local but to no avail I have yet to uninstall and reinstall yet but will do soon however I also have google chrome which works fine but I would like to fix this problem rather than just changing browsers So as google chrome works I downloaded the lastest GPU graphics also making sure to remove the catalyst control centre and all video drivers through control panel and registry cleaner of ccleaner btw my GPU HD Twin Frozr III PE OC and tried to install it fails to fully install and comes up with this error half way through installation quot Application Install install package failure quot So as that didn t work I thought it might have something to do with the many windows updates I need to install Of which most of them installed successfully however NET Framework updates seem to always have an error occur and fail to install successfully So I tried the solutions on this page NET Framework update installation error quot x quot or quot x quot but to no avail It just comes up with error code in windows updater Those are the three main issues I have ran into at the moment but there is other random problems that have popped up like -itunes randomly just stopped working when it was working perfectly fine a few hours ago -cannot schedule to run a error checking of the disk through computer-properties-tools-error checking -Cannot run windows troubleshooting wizard So this is the conundrum I am in at the moment I know that reinstalling windows and formatting the hard drive is an option but I kinda only want that to be a last option as I really don t want to have to install all the programs and things I already have on my hard drive Aside from this problems and other ones that might pop up the system seems to be working relatively fine ie browsing the web and using most of the installed programs is fine Other steps I have tried for the various problems include turning on off antivirus and firewall running scans on antivirus yelling at my cat I think the issue either lays in the N... I was trying to troubleshoot two errors in Event Viewer and know they were caused by Easy CD Creator 5 so I uninstalled it and then my DVD players would not work. cdralw2k.sys and cdr4_2k.sys were the cause of the errors and were incompatible with Windows 7. Did a system restore to get the DVDs working again, but I know all this did is put the two files back in play. I know how to uninstall Easy CD Creator 5 to get rid of the files causing the errors, but how do I get my DVDs working again? The hardware drivers do not start due to the driver cdrom.sys giving an error in Event Viewer.

A:Easy CD Creator 5 errors, removed now CDROM errors

PxHlpa64.sys. Most common cause of a cdrom.sys error, and very widely used by Roxio. In my best guess it is still present there, and it usually remains even after uninstalling Roxio products.

Go to C:\Windows\System32\drivers and\or C:\Windows\syswow64\drivers. If PxHlpa64.sys is present there, delete it.

Let us know the results.

Please print out or copy this page to Notepad. Make sure to work through the fixes in the exact order it is mentioned below. If there's anything that you don't understand, ask your question(s) before proceeding with the fixes. You should not have any open browsers when you are following the procedures below.

Go to My Computer->Tools/View->Folder Options->View tab and make sure that 'Show hidden files and folders' (or 'Show all files') is enabled. Also make sure that Display the contents of System Folders' is checked. Windows XP's search feature is a little different. When you click on 'All files and folders' on the left pane, click on the 'More advanced options' at the bottom. Make sure that Search system folders, Search hidden files and folders, and Search subfolders are checked.

Turn off system restore by right clicking on My Computer and go to Properties->System Restore and check the box for Turn off System Restore. Click Apply and then OK. Restart your computer. After we are finished with your log file and verified that it's clean, you may turn it back on and create a new restore point.

The Temp folders should be cleaned out periodically as installation programs and hijack programs leave a lot of junk there. Download Index.dat Suite to clean out all the temp folders. Do not run it yet.

Reboot into Safe Mode (hit F8 key until menu shows up).

Uninstall the following via the Add/Remove Panel (Start->(Settings)->Control Panel->Add/Remove Programs) if they exist:

Messenger Plus! 3 <<<contains adware and is highly recommended for removal
Freescan (Spyware Begone)

Run a scan in HijackThis. Check each of the following and hit 'Fix checked' (after checking them) if they still exist (make sure not to miss any):

Run Index.dat Suite now and go to Tools->Settings. Then make sure to check the following: Cookies, History, Recent Documents, Swap File (if you have Windows 95/98), Temporary Internet Files and Temp Files. Click Save at the bottom. Then click on the Find button. Let it search. Then click on the second button on the top. This will generate a batch file. Click Next->Next->Next and it will tell you that after the next reboot/restart you the file should run by itself and startup and clean all those files.

Reboot into Normal Mode and post a new HijackThis log file so we can make sure it's clean.

I was hoping that someone may be able to help me decipher what sort of error messages I encountered as a result of running MemTAest86 for a few hours. I have gotten 72 error messages, and I have no way of knowing how severe these messages are. Any help would be appreciated.

A:MemTest86 Errors Questions - 72 errors recieved when running after 3hr

RAM (memory) test:
This will require memtest on a bootable CD or USB stick.
RAM - Test with Memtest86+
This tutorial will show you how to run a good test with RAM. Any error is bad though. Do the part of the tutorial where swapping the RAM modules to different slots, checking each one idividually, etc. What is the exact model numer and brand of your RAM?
CPUz will help with the ID of the RAM. Be aware of the installer and uncheck stuff you don't want.
CPU-Z CPUID - System & hardware benchmark, monitoring, reporting

This explains what I understand about memtest.
RAM - Test with Memtest86+
I've not seen the version your are running.

Hi About weeks ago my laptop suddenly froze and a blue screen appeared with a quot non errors data/stack errors, Kernel disk kernel data error quot message Since then every time I turn my laptop on it comes up with a black screen saying quot non disk or disk drive error quot If I turn it off and leave it for about an hour it comes on normally Kernel data/stack errors, non disk errors and stays on for about half an hour until it freezes and I get the blue screen again And so this carries on Sometimes the error message I get on the Kernel data/stack errors, non disk errors blue screen is a quot kernel stack error quot I am by no means clued up when it comes to computers and so please forgive me if I m explaining things in a very basic way Sometimes at the bottom of the blue screen it says quot atapi sys quot followed by lots of numbers and letters Sometimes it says quot win k sys quot It s also come up with quot c a quot and quot unknown hard drive error quot I don t have any installation cd Is there anything I can do or is my laptop gone Any help would be greatly appreciated Please note like I said I m not clued up so please explain anything in an easy to understand way Thanks nbsp

A:Kernel data/stack errors, non disk errors

In my experience, the "win32k.sys." is a fairly common blue screen event. It's probably associated with something, a program or an update, that was installed on your laptop that altered Windows in an unacceptable way. If you aren't crazy about the idea of a new PC, you could obtain/purchase an installation disk for the OS, which is very cool to have anyway, and then run a Windows Repair.

Just would need to know the OS you are using to direct you to instructions for the repair. It's a very viable option that doesn't remove any of your files or settings. In XP it will remove Windows updates, but those can be easily re-installed...

I have had this problem before and encountered it numerous times. The repair option is great, but on the off chance it does not fix the problem, you are likely looking at a bad HD. Still, running the repair could fix the problem, giving you the ability to test your HD as a precaution with software from the HD manufacturer...

A few years ago my older laptop had what I like to refer to as a stroke I don't remember the exact events which led up to it but my laptop began to take a really long time to do the simplest commands like opening a Firefox browser or even going to standby mode Around the same time I got Connected? Errors/Are Fix HardDrive These Will Replacing My Errors These the quot smart failure predicted on hard disk quot error message I would bypass it not knowing what else to do and things got progressively worse around the same time I found that my battery would no longer hold a charge and slow to the point where I just up and bought a new laptop altogether Now it's years later and I want to use the old laptop to run some software so basically I want to keep this laptop at home connected to the net so it can do its thing around the clock which I cannot do with my new laptop because Will Replacing My HardDrive Fix These Errors/Are These Errors Connected? I take it most everywhere I go including work My question is will replacing the hard drive fix the performance errors I've been having It's an Acer WLMi and replacing the hard drive Will Replacing My HardDrive Fix These Errors/Are These Errors Connected? looks to run me about I'm wondering if Will Replacing My HardDrive Fix These Errors/Are These Errors Connected? it's better to just buy a cheap desktop computer for about twice that and use that instead If a simple harddrive swap would fix my problems I'll opt for that but I don't know much about this stuff so here I am If anyone has any insight it would be GREATLY appreciated

A:Will Replacing My HardDrive Fix These Errors/Are These Errors Connected?

You'd also have to reinstall windows on the new hard drive as well since cloning the old one might result in the same performance problems. It depends on the precise cause but if some system files were corrupted, they'd carry right over.
By the way, it sounds like you're bitcoin mining and that kind of a system wouldn't be fast enough to pay for the electricity :P otherwise if it's something else, that should work great. The only problem is, most people buy laptops without a windows installation disc since most vendors don't offer them. Without the onboard restore partition available, you're going to need an OEM or retail copy of the installation disc for whatever operating system it was running. If you just download one, they tend to be corrupt or carry viruses or have activation hacks that they didn't say they did. If you look at ebay for license-less copies of the disc, that works, otherwise ask really nicely at a local computer repair shop :P

I am running IE 6 SP3, Windows XP. I receive schedule updates from Microsoft and MicroTrend Security (my security software). Three days ago I started receiving intermittent screens where they it tells me that Internet Explorer encountered an error and then when I view the details I see different file names depending on when it happens these are ones I have seen: mshtml.dll, ntdll.dll, flash9f.ocx
I have no clue if this is hardware related or something malicious. I am including my hijack this log file.

By the way, as a remedy, I tried upgrading to IE 8 and it caused more problems so I did a system restore to two days prior to the problem starting.

Please take a look at let me know how to proceed. Thanks.

What happened:
I was about to allow the Flash plugin in Pale Moon web browser to load a Flash youtube video when numerous pop-up windows stating "Bad Image" errors appeared. Some Bad Image errors are related to a .dll, 1 was related to Panda Antivirus Free which I have installed.

I panicked and immediately rebooted my laptop. After rebooting, I couldn't open any programs at all. A pop-up window will appear, stating the full path of the program and then state "The parameter is incorrect.".

I can still open Microsoft related stuff such as Control Panel, Command Prompt etc.

I tried running sfc \scannow, but it keeps getting stuck at 76%, stating "Windows Resource Protection could not perform the requested operation."

A:Bad Image errors and "The parameter is incorrect" errors.

This very same thing happened to me today, although it had nothing to do with running Flash.  I did some Windows Updates (they fixed the Freak vulnerability) and there were a bunch of other important and optional updates that I installed as well.  Rebooted.  Logged in.  No problems.  My wife has her own account on this computer, so she logged me off, logged on, did a couple emails, and logged off.  When I logged back on, I got all kinds of popups about bad images and parameter being incorrect, etc.

I tried to run System Restore but it wouldn't load.  Rebooted to Safe Mode with Command prompt and tried to run "rstrui.exe" as outlined in online instructions.  Windows couldn't find it.  I ran "explorer.exe" from the command line and it brought up the GUI, and from there I ran System Restore to a restore point from yesterday, before any updates or issues.

Restoring to yesterday's files did not help.

Opened up My Computer and right-clicked on my C: Drive (windows drive) and scheduled a Chkdsk with repair (not bad sector repair, though, as that takes forever).  I rebooted.  Chkdsk ran and found no errors.

Had to leave for work.  So that's where I'm at.  But it's interesting that you're getting this today just as I am.

I'm thinking - but won't be able to check this until later - that the registry setting for opening exe files has been changed/hijacked/corrupted.  Here's one way to fix it, although this won't work if you can't open regedit.exe.  I've read where if you make a copy of regedit.exe, save it to your desktop, and then rename it to regedit.com, you may be able to open it.  (right-click on it and open as administrator).  At that point, I would follow the instructions here:  http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2688326

Hello

My last BIOS update has failed and now my laptop Satellite PrU400 PSU45E is out of order.
I want to use the Crisis Recovery Disk with an USB floppy drive but I don't know the key combination to run the boot-block.
Is anybody can help me?

Best regards

A:Satellite Pro U400 BIOS update failed - What is BIOS Boot-block access

Hi

I wondering what Crisis Recovery Disk do you have ?:|
In my experience the special disk is needed which is available only for ASP technician.
Therefore it?s necessary to contact the ASP in your country in order to reflash the BIOS.

In my opinion you shouldn?t not try any ?Crisis Recovery disks? which you fond in the net? this can lead to mobo damage?

I have a Dell Latitude D630. It has an admin password for the bios. Nothing is locked except for the settings. I can't change any of the settings in the bios. It lets me boot to windows just fine though. My question is, since I don't know that admin password for the bios, if I upgrade the bios firmware, will the admin password be deleted? Since I'm flashing the bios, I would think that all the settings will be lost. Is that the case?

A:Will upgrading the bios firmware on a Latitude D630 delete the bios admin password?

What?

Didn't you reply here, and say it worked (after the unusual 9th try ) http://www.techspot.com/vb/topic109612-109.html#post747024

Awfully strange!

A bios update can't remove passwords. As You Must Know

Oh and thanks for the extended long Title. I'm thinking this Topic of yours would be best removed? What do you think?

Hi.

My Sat M30 laptop start with an bios error. The error says "Resource conflict, edit bios setting or boot" If select "boot" computer hangs before windows completely starts. I remove the wi-fi and the modem module and the same error appears. I can't upgrade the bios because the windows don't start. The bios version is 1.7. The laptop is UK version. If select "edit bios", bios start but I can't find any resource management.

Thanks

(sorry for my english, I am from Spain)

A:Satellite Pro M30 Bios error Resource conflict - Edit bios setting or boot

Hi

I think the error ?edit bios setting? means that you should access the BIOS and should set the BIOS back to the default settings.

Please do this, save the settings and try to boot up!

This sounds more like a BIOS = hardware issue. Since you have been inside the case it is possible something got nudged loose. Re-seat your memory and video card if it is an add-on.

My laptop has no problem before. Recently I try to install Windows XP. First attempt fail, so I change SATA at BIOS from AHCI to Compatible, success. However the partition that I want to install*Windows XP to is not available.*

So just to test I choose my Windows 7 partition. Since it want to format the partition, I cancel the installation. After restarting windows, it stuck at bios. I restart again and change SAT to AHCI. Restart, still stuck at bios. This time I cannot enter BIOS, recovery or change boot media. Assuming the boot sector has corrupt, will reseating the cmos battery will fix this *problem. Please help. Thanks in advance.*

A:Windows 7 Stuck At BIOS Cannot Enter BIOS or Change Boot Media

Somehow with guidance from Lenovo Community, I solved the problem.

For future reference:
1. Take out HDD, battery, plug off ac power.
2. Restart, change SATA Controller in BIOS to compatible, restart.
3. Check whether the SATA Controller is Compatible or AHCI. If Compatible, force shutdown laptop.
4. Put back HDD, boot with Windows 7 Recovery CD or Installation Disc.
5. Choose Autostartup Repair.
6. Restart.

Or at least tell me how to extract the .rom from the exe file shuttle sends

If I get the rom file I will be able to revive this nifty old 750!

BIOS FLASH! Black... stumbled upon a new version of the BIOS amnd the drivers and sfotware recommended for my laptop by the producer So i proceeded to install the upgrade restarted the computer when it prompted me to do so but after the so-called restart the laptop did not boot up as usual At first it was telling me to not do anything as the BIOS is being flashed and then it was telling me something about some sort of image processing things that i did not understand at the time i have never encountered anything like that After that my screen turned black I have not done anything for a few couple of minutes as i thought it was supposed to be like that but then i just force shut it down and unplugged the AC adapter When trying to boot it all up again the only thing i got was a black screen and nothing else After doing a little bit of research it appears that somehowm i ve managed to corrupt the bios on my laptop or something and nothing else would work at this point I tried to remove the BIOS battery and the ram and then put them all back tryed resetting the bios by taking out the battery but nothing would work I would be really thankful if anyone would be kind enough to point me one way or another as i do not know what to do at all nbsp Around the webz i found some way of creating a bootable usb flash drive where i would put a compatible version of BIOS from the site and then install it onto the laptop but i do not quite know how to do that properly either as the software they are pointing me to wincrisis is not working by any means

Welcome to TSG....

First thing I would do is edit the Computer Specifications in your account and take out the product ID that is for your version of windows if somebody gets it the windows on your machine will not be yours after somebody else uses it to register it for them selves.

A:Review of hijack log for errors--can someone look to see if there are errors?

More info:

My computer often freezes and I have to do a reboot. The last time this happended, I got a message stating that the 16 bit substation was unstable. I have no idea what that means. I can be viewing the web or working in Office 2000 when this happens. A lot of times when I am loading a page on the web, it stalls and I have to hit refresh to make the page come up. Sometimes the page I am seeking will come up or the prior page will come onto the screen. I have scanned for viruses and it comes up clean. I also keep the temp files cleaned out. I have internet provider. Other computers hooked to the router do not experience the same problem.

Following is a recap of of my computer:

I have two identical sticks of memory that were purchased together Team Xtreem LV GB x GB -Pin DDR SDRAM DD on a ASRock Z Pro motherboard w a Intel Core i - Ivy Bridge GHz processor and a CORSAIR CMPSU- VX W power supply The main components are years old except for the power supply which is years old This is a computer I built for my mother There are intermittent BSOD's and the errors listed are inconsistent I ran Memtest and immediately got errors I then tested each stick separately which resulted in no errors I tried the sticks in different slots resulting in no errors when individually installed but when I put in two either in dual mode slots or separate A and A or A and B etc errors immediately appear I then disconnected all the hard drives dvd from power and tried again Same results stick fine sticks errors I currently have only stick in to make the machine usable My question is what is my next step to figure out if it is 2 with 1. Memtest86 Sticks....No Errors Errors with the motherboard which is under warranty until October Memtest86 Errors with 2 Sticks....No Errors with 1. or the processor or something else happening with the power supply The BSOD's have occurred both on Win Ultimate and Win x I am attaching reports from both stick config and stick config It is in a new install of Windows x Any suggestions will be appreciated - Thanks

I use Chrome and sometimes I get the error ERR_NETWORK_CHANGED then it stops loading pages and I have to reopen it. I first though my Chrome was corrupt or something until I saw the Event viewer and DHCP errors were popping out at the same time the Chrome error.
The error is:
ID 1001 Dhcp-client
Your computer was not assigned an address from the network (by the DHCP Server) for the Network Card with network address xxxxxx. The following error occurred: 0x79. Your computer will continue to try and obtain an address on its own from the network address (DHCP) server

I use wired Ethernet, the router seems fine, anyone know what's up here?

Thank you

To collect IP configuration information easily, do the following:

Open a Elevated Command Prompt:

Press WIN + X to open Start context menu.

Select Command Prompt (Admin).

Paste the following into the Command Prompt window, exactly as shown, including double quotes:

cmd /c "ipconfig /all > postme.txt & ping yahoo.com >> postme.txt & reg query "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings" | find /i "proxy" >> postme.txt & notepad postme.txt & del postme.txt"

and press ENTER.

A file will open in Notepad. Please copy and paste the contents here. Close the Notepad window and the file will be deleted and the Command Prompt window will also close. Post results in a reply here.

Try running it with one stick of memory. Do you get BSODs? Asus boards are quite well known about their pickiness about what RAN is used per board, the amount installed, and how it is configured.

does anybody know about HXDL.exe errors & WJ View errors?? how to solve it then? Please help me....I'm really stress out with these problemz....! thankz!

A:HXDL.exe errors & WJ view errors

We need a bit more information...What OS are you using (XP, 2000, etc.) What hardware do you have? Also try downloading Spybot and Hijack This.

Run spybot first, when you run spybot open the online button and click on check for updates and install updates. Then run a scan. click on the fix selected items after the scan is done, that 'll repair any spyware that is on the system.

After you're done with Spybot, run Hijack This and scan the system. Save the log then copy and paste the log into another post in this topic.

Welcome to BCThe process of cleaning your computer may require you to temporarily disable some security programs. If you are using SpyBot Search and Destroy, please refer to Note 2 at the bottom of this page. Please download Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and save it to your desktop.alternate download link 1alternate download link 2Make sure you are connected to the Internet.Double-click on mbam-setup.exe to install the application. When the installation begins, follow the prompts and do not make any changes to default settings. When installation has finished, make sure you leave both of these checked:Update Malwarebytes' Anti-MalwareLaunch Malwarebytes' Anti-MalwareThen click Finish.MBAM will automatically start and you will be asked to update the program before performing a scan.If an update is found, the program will automatically update itself.Press the OK button to close that box and continue. If you encounter any problems while downloading the updates, manually download them from here and just double-click on mbam-rules.exe to install. On the Scanner tab:Make sure the "Perform Quick Scan" option is selected. Then click on the Scan button. If asked to select the drives to scan, leave all the drives selected and click on the Start Scan button. The scan will begin and "Scan in progress" will show at the top. It may take some time to complete so please be patient. When the scan is finished, a message box will say "The scan completed successfully. Click 'Show Results' to display all objects found".Click OK to close the message box and continue with the removal process.Back at the main Scanner screen:Click on the Show Results button to see a list of any malware that was found.Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected. When removal is completed, a log report will open in Notepad. The log is automatically saved and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.Copy and paste the contents of that report in your next reply and exit MBAM.Note:-- If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you may be asked to reboot your computer so it can proceed with the disinfection process. Regardless if prompted to restart the computer or not, please do so immediately. Failure to reboot normally (not into safe mode) will prevent MBAM from removing all the malware. Note 2:-- MBAM may make changes to your registry as part of its disinfection routine. If you're using other security programs that detect registry changes (like Spybot's Teatimer), they may interfere with the fix or alert you after scanning with MBAM. Please disable such programs until disinfection is complete or permit them to allow the changes. To disable these programs, please view this topic: How To Temporarily Disable Your Anti-virus, Firewall And Anti-malware Programs

I built the system for a friend and I've never had BSOD errors. Please help me try to pinpoint the cause.
I have seen Memory management
IRQ not less or equal to

They happen at all times, I've counted 6 in less than an hour then none for 8-9 hours but they always come back.

A:BSOD errors irq not less or equal too among other errors.

Welcome
As you have mentioned in your post, the problem is memory. To test, run for 6 passes, then take each stick and test each for 6 passes.

A:Please help, multiple Stop Errors and MFR/MBR Errors

Sorry should point out that the BSOD is not the real problem I can handle that have added just for reference, it's the MBR and MFR that is the real problem.

I'm really confused on whether I have bad RAM or not because of the memtest results I'm getting I've already had to replace the mobo and graphics card in my (28,416 errors) Memtest86 Interpret then RAM? Bad 0 Help errors nearly brand new built desktop as I had problems with both mobo wasn't W compatible graphics card crapped out As I had two major problems I wanted to make sure my RAM was okay I currently have four GB Corsair Dominator DDR Bad RAM? Help Interpret Memtest86 (28,416 errors then 0 errors) sticks of RAM two matched pairs Here is what I came up with via memtest The first time I ran the test it came back Bad RAM? Help Interpret Memtest86 (28,416 errors then 0 errors) with errors in the first pass alone Here is a screenshot I'm not sure what all the details mean other than there are a LOT of errors there Any help interpreting those results So I knew I have potentially bad RAM or a bad slot on the mobo I pulled two of the sticks one of the matched pairs then retested via memtest I let all these memtests go for seven passes and hours of run time just to be for sure errors with those two sticks pulled So then I wanted to verify I didn't have a bad slot so I moved the two known good sticks to the two now-empty slots Ran memtest errors So then I knew at least one of the two sticks I originally pulled must be bad I plugged one stick back in and ran memtest again to see if it was the bad stick errors So now I think I have the bad stick isolated to the only one not in the board now But I want to verify and be for sure so I plug it in and ran memtest again fully expecting to see a ton of errors again It's been seven passes and hours now and errors What gives This is the same four sticks that gave me errors with the only difference being the fact that they moved around in the slots due to my memtesting and now they're giving me errors How is that possible Do you guys think I do have bad RAM If all my RAM is good why would the first time I ran the test report a whopping k errors Thanks a ton for any help here I'm FAR from tech-savvy and I'm learning all of this as I go so I appreciate all the help I can get

A:Bad RAM? Help Interpret Memtest86 (28,416 errors then 0 errors)

Well, there is the possibility that some clutter got into the ram slots when you put the ram in the first time, which cleared out when you reseated the ram.

The other possibility is that the ram wasn't properly seated until you reseated them.
