Trouble using dual monitors with an adapter/splitter

Q: Trouble using dual monitors with an adapter/splitter

I ve got two monitors a Dell SE WFP and a MICROTEK c My video card is a Asus Radeon HD and I m trying to connect them using an adapter splitter cable The video card supports a HDMI DisplayPort and a DVI connector My splitter s end piece is a DVI then it goes to a VGA and another DVI The Dell is a DVI the Microtek is a VGA The with monitors adapter/splitter Trouble dual using an problem is it only picks up one monitor Here s what it looks like in the Screen Resolution As you can see it shows there s two Dells being listed If I unplug the dell on startup and let only the microtek load up Trouble using dual monitors with an adapter/splitter the screen is there but when I plug in the dell afterwards it turns off the microtek and leaves just the dell on There s no drivers available for the Microtek so it labels it as a generic nopnp monitor could that be the issue I ve tried also messing around with AMD Vision Engine Control which is my video card s software Any ideas Thanks nbsp

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/directdownload.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

A: Trouble using dual monitors with an adapter/splitter

You can't display two different video feeds using a splitter. You need to buy another monitor and use two physical outputs on your graphics card.

I am trying to add a second generic lcd monitor (NEC) to this pc.  I am already using the adapter that came with the computer in the VGA. I still have a DVI port available. In looking at adapters I have no clue as to what adapter I need to buy to connect to my PC.  Can anyone tell me what to buy or if this cannot be done? Thank you very much in advance.

Hi

i've just inserted my secondary adapter and found that i still only get 1 shown in device manager.

the second adapter (Radeon 7000) is shown and the inbuilt (intel 82815) is no longer there.

however when i go into display settings, it does recognise that there is a second monitor.

drivers are all installed and I'm using XP Pro.

this is really P*ssing me off. Can some1 please please help !

A:Dual Monitors - 2nd adapter not showing

I'm on a company computer,

Trying to set up two different Monitors to work from, The motherboard has a built in Video card (NVIDIA) and i plugged into the PCI slots a TRIDEN 3D Video Card That has a regular (NOT DVI) monitor plug in (So there are two non-dvi Monitors plugged in)

i downloaded the drivers for the second video card and it doesnt access the other monitor the video card i plug in (The TRIDENT) takes over the built in video card (NVIDIA) so i only get vision from 1 monitor instead of the other.

(I got the windows xP drivers because that is what i am running)

is there a way to overcome this inorder to bypass vision to both computers?
and how do i install the drivers?
(pretty much how do i go about installing dual monitors)

Thank you very much

A:Trouble with Dual monitors

You will probably need to disable the on board video and get a video card with 2 VGA ports to do this

Hey guys, just got a new computer today and am trying to fulfill my life long dream, running 2 monitors. It's giving me some lip though currently and it does not allow me to run both at the same time. Each monitor is functioning individually but when i try to run them together it goes on the fritz. Dual Graphics Processors - Dual 320MB NVIDIA® GeForce™ 8800 GTS - SLI Enabled is my graphics card - im certain it is available for dual monitor use, ive heard i may have to activate something within the graphics card options but cannot find anything that has that option. All of the obvious things arent there (the option to run two monitors, the monitor icons) its like it isnt detecting the 2nd monitor.

A:Trouble Installing dual monitors

Are you using the latest software to set up the dual monitors? Just using windows doesn't seem to work.

I too have a dell and run two monitors. I had to contact Dell directly and order from them. I couldn't find one in a store anywhere in my area.

I have a problem though. I seem to be having a problem with my monitors that just started today. Now I can't get anything to load or move onto the second monitor.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have a probably not so unique question but for some reason I couldn't find a thread about it previously Here is a little bit of hardware information before we begin I have two acer monitors and two trouble dual up setting monitors Having different displays types I want to use DVI VGA but for some reason one of the acer Having trouble setting up dual monitors monitors isn't being detected in windows I have a Radeon card with display port hdmi and dvi output capabilities My motherboard has the vga port on it My processor is an AMD Athlon x Dual Core Here is my question I want to be able to use both of my displays When I plug one of my monitors into the DVI slot on my card it works perfectly fine but the monitor that is plugged into my motherboard will never pick up a signal I checked in device manager to see if there were any hardware changes and I even looked on the AMD website to see if there was a graphics driver for my processor I needed to pick up I've unplugged both monitors and switched them up both work fine individually For some reason the VGA port that I assume connects to my motherboard will not push out a signal When there is no graphics card plugged in though it works I'm trying to make this work I didn't think it would be this difficult and I consider myself to be slightly above beginner in terms of knowledge I went into BIOS and even set the primary display type to integrated just to see if it would change something it didn't In device manager the only display adapter that shows up is the display adapter for my graphics card Any help would be greatly appreciated I've fiddled around with a few different settings in bios all to no avail My CPU is not overclocked and I have confidence to do just about anything you suggest Except for going out and buying another cable Thank you Mat

Having just upgraded from XP using the Nvidia dual monitor desktops for years, I was surprised to find Windows 7 has this feature in-built with the added bonus of slideshow desktop images C00L!
So beyond Win7 eye candy which is better, Does it come down to games running faster under the Nvidia dual desktops, what is the general preference here?

A:Is Nvidia dual monitors a poor cousin to Windows 7 dual monitors?..

afaik, there is no real performance difference, as all stuff is handled by the nvidia driver anyway.

And of course the more monitors the higher performance hit as there is more screen surface to work on (the same as increasing resolution).

Btw, the main pityfall of the multiple monitors is that the taskbar is only in the primary monitor, but there are a ton of good third party programs that can handle this, like Actual Multiple Monitors.

I just wanted some advice because I have never done this before. We just bought some new Lenovo Edge laptops for work and also bought USB 2.0 Port Replicators with Digital Video Part number: 0A33942 to use with them. Our other setup was a Lenovo L512 with a Mini dock which the L512 has been discontinued. My question is can I use a DVI-to-dual DVI or VGA to display the video to two 22" monitors? How will windows recognize the monitors and what about performance? Some people here like the screen so small that I can barely read it and others like it large enough to read it from 10 feet away. The only thing that they are used for is Internet browsing and document viewing. Nothing graphic intensive. Any thoughts?

A:Using DVI splitter to get video on two monitors

A Video Graphics Array (VGA) Y-splitter cable enables simultaneous display of the same image from a TV screen to another monitor, from a laptop to a PC monitor, or from one PC to two separate monitors within a short distance. In the latter cases, however, you may need a better video card to support a higher resolution. Its personal benefits are to effectively create two video screens for home-viewing pleasure and to create wider, dual screens while working in the home office. Commercial purposes include setting up training modules and displays during trade shows.

Hi! I just upgraded to Win8 this weekend and so far I really like it. I discovered something this morning that now that the weekend is over is bugging the crap out of me and I need help. I work from home and use this alot so it would be helpful.

I am trying to do a couple things I could easily do in 7,
- have Chrome open in both monitors at once with different things on them.
- currently Chrome has no minimize/maximize buttons on the upper right like it used to. Makes it very hard to multitask.

I have 2 monitors, the main is a 23" touch screen and the second is an 18" non-touch screen.

Also, is there a way to have the taskbar to appear at the bottom always like it used to?

Thanks! I really appreciate the help!

Now if someone could tell me why windows 8 won't fill the screen at the resolution recommended for my 23" monitor I'd be good!

A:Dual Monitor with a VGA splitter using NVIDIA GeForce 6800

A splitter will only clone the monitors and will probably only register the first.
Your 6800 should have dual outputs.
Depending on the connectors and the monitor, you may need a DVI to VGA
adapter to connect to the second output.

Can anyone please tell me how to set up another monitor to work with my laptop computer? I've made a little progress, HOWEVER...

I would then like to open my Excel Workbook that has 2 sheets. One sheet is constant data input into various columns using my laptop. In the second sheet, I have formulas which constantly updates the data within a formatted table that I would like displayed onto the external monitor.

My project is to hook the laptop monitor into an overhead flat screen tv using HDMI cable. Then, while sitting in a corner with my laptop entering data, the results would be constantly updated for the audience to see.

Thanks...

A:dual monitors / dual programs set up

Hello dunna, welcome to Sevenforums

With a laptop, (assuming you have an HDMI port), it shouldn't be too difficult. However, laptops are different. For example, mine, you plug in the secondary monitor, and there is a function key (Fn) that you press, and the corresponding key to change the output mode (for me, it is F1). It should let you choose how you want to display to the monitor. Test it out yourself to see, but if you can't find it, let us know. It helps if you provide the laptop type, so we can tell you the keys exactly

Hello all,

I'm looking for a good piece of hardware to purchase that will accept composite inputs for any external device I wish to use such as an Xbox or other Dvd player. I was looking at some USB products that do this sort of thing, but I am concerned about the quality. Does it lag at all? What would be the best route to go for the best quality? Is it possible to do this for around $50? I'm essentially looking for someone I can install directly to XP and have a control software for it to configure the settings.. If someone knows of one even with a TV out input on it as well, please let me know. Hope someone can help. Thanks alot.

Chris

A:Composite adapter for monitors?

For better quality, you would want to use component inputs, but that is another topic. As for your situation, I would highly recommend you look into s-video over composite input for gaming. Based on my experience with an ATI ISA TV tuner and ATI HDTV tuner, using a composite input will give a fuzzy and somewhat blurry picture. With s-video, the picture you see will be sharper, but not super. In my opinion, on the level of using composite on a standard CRT TV set.

As for performance on the HDTV tuner, there is slight lagging. You will experience more when the computer is doing something. Personally, I blame this situation on the provided software so results will depend on your hardware selection. I have read that using an internal card will provide better performance versus USB 1.1 so you may want to put that into consideration.

As for a specific vendor/hardware, I can't really provide any recommendations since I have not actively looked into this for sometime. I do recommend that you look for ones with s-video input, as well as composite input. On top of that, look for two channel sound input (left and right).

Are you looking to just game with a monitor or use the PC while gaming too? If looking to game alone, they have dedicated units that connect directly to the monitor.

Hiya,

I know this is going to be an obvious question for most however, it's not for me so please bear with me as I'm looking for some advice.

I'm trying to set my duel monitors.. I have bought 2 new Samsung screens - they only have VGA ports. My Computer itself has a VGA and a DVI port so I'm assuming it has a graphics card to support 2 monitors?

Well I bought myself a VGA to DVI adapter to plug in the second monitor - however it is showing no signal.

Can someone advise what I should do?

I've read a few things to say I should buy a converter or a new monitor however, I wanted advice on my own situation and not someone else's.

Thanks in advance for your KIND help!

How can a new monitor has only VGA ports, I have no idea. That's a tech from 10-15 years ago

Make sure your adapter is DVI to VGA and not the other way around, they may not work both ways as the adapter will do signal conversion. Also may be worth to check if DVI is DVI-I (analog/digital) or DVI-D (digital only)

Memory on the video card is not a big factor in streaming video.
Only for rendering 3D apps and games.
A 256MB card should do fine.
A PCI express X16 slot is for a video card upgrade.
Shouldn't need to high performance of a card so a power

A:Dual monitors

Does your GPU have 2 outputs? For example, new graphics cards all have Dual DVI output. You just connect the monitors to the two outputs and set it up in your graphics settings (right click desktop->property->settings->advanced). I think if you don't have dual outputs for your GPU, you might need to actually have 2 GPUs, each outputting to one monitor.

Hello
I have a Asus Laptop and also a 46" Full HD Samsung TV Monitor
I have plugged in a VGA lead only 2 Mtrs Long to watch movies etc off my PC
Switch source to PC and on TV screen the message comes up "Mode not supported"
My old laptop worked fine with movies slideshows etc
What settings do I need on my new laptop to get it to work
Cheers Marian

A:Dual Monitors

You may need to set resolution and refresh rates in
display properties in the control panel to settings
that the TV can display.

Hello. I cannot get a dual monitor setup to work for the life of me. I've made a LITTLE progress though by tweaking the BIOS to load from the Mobo VGA port first on boot, but now the second monitor just stays lit up with the windows 10 logo and nothing else, while the first still works just fine. Windows will not detect the second monitor, nor will extending it on the projector settings work. The main monitor is plugged into DVI on an old ATI Radeon HD 7700 Series card. Forget the exact model and that. I believe it's an H.I.S. Radeon. But I'm going through all the options and i'm scratching my head here. help would be appreciated.

EDIT The Radeon card I have only supports one DVI connection and one HDMI. Both monitors I have are VGA/DVI.

A:Need help with dual monitors

I'll happily be wrong, but I don't believe you can run one from the mobo and one from the video card together.

Disable the mobo GPU in BIOS.

Then get an HDMI/DVI adapter so you can run the second monitor off the card with the first.

Ok I have a Radeon XT with the vga and dvi out What i want to do is hook my regular monitor up to the vga out and hook my big screen HDTV up to my DVI out My tv has a dvi in as well so no need for adapters just a straight up dvi-d cable Most of the time i will just be using my regular monitor but every now and again i would like to switch to the tv on command So i got it all hooked up but it seems like both displays are being picked up as primary monitors displays which causes problems because i need the tv at a lower resolution than my regular monitor and if i switch in between the two all my display settings are the same for both I dual monitors want to be able to set it where the display settings stay unique to each of the displays Is this possible I have all the latest ATI drivers and it seems possible to me but i ve been dual monitors just having a tough time with it If anyone could please walk me through this it would greatly be appreciated Thanks Correy dual monitors nbsp

Aloha,
I don't know if this will help but I have a ATI All-In-Wonder 9800 video card using XP Pro as OS but here goes. According to my manual, it says to click on Monitor (display)in your control panel and then click on settings. Click on the advanced button and then click on Displays. Click on monitor or TV to set your settings. I don't know if your Radeon menu is the same as the ATI's but I would think it should be similar. I only have my card going to the monitor and not to the TV so I don't know if this will work for you. Hope this helps. TIA

I am attempting to install two monitors to my existing Gateway 5026E system. I have a NVIDIA grahics card 8800 GT OC from my son's older computer. I am usure whether I should even try this since I am assuming that my existing computer may not have all it needs to accomplish this task. I have installed the card and have the installation cd in telling me "the grahics adapater installed in the system is not compatable with the current set of drivers". I also realize the I need a power supply of at least 425w. I am overstepping my knowledge here and any step by step assistance would be appreciated. Let me know what other information is needed to assist. Thanks.

A:Dual Monitors

firstly the power supply will need to be 425 or 450w min as for the drivers the ones on the disc could be for a 32bit windows you could be running a 64bit i would right click my computer and click on properties at the bottem then click device manager in there find the card under display adaptors ( should have a yellow trangle next to it)
right click that then click on update drivers and search online (windows updates) for some new drivers also you could check the nvidia web site for new drivers 1 other thing did you uninstall the drivers for the card that you had in before?

I was wondering if anyone can offer clarity for me please? I have an E560 and want to run two monitors off the laptop to use it as a workstation when I am at the office.  Ideally I would like to use the mini display port option, and there are splitters out there that would then give me the chance to run 2 HDMI monitors.  However I was told to find out whether the unit supports this.  I have tried to look but cannot find the answer...so I was wondering whether anyone on here knew? Thank you in advance. Jonty

I run 2 monitors on a QuadroFX 4600. An HP 30" is primary and a Viewsonic 21" is secondary. This has worked fine for over a year. As of today, if I set the resolution of the ViewSonic to less than 1600 x 1200, the picture on the Viewsonic is shifted extremely far to the right, leaving a large gap in the extended desktop. I reset all of the basic params of the monitors in Control Panel and Display Properties, but no fix. This was working fine just 2 days ago!
Anyone know of a fix?
Thanks.

For LCD's there should be an auto or adjust button
on the monitor.
Otherwise, check the menu on the monitor for postion controls.

A:Dual Monitors W7 x64

One monitor with VGA connection and one with HDMI, both of the same graphics card (which from the Acer Aspire X1200 I am assuming is the integrated NVIDIA GeForce 8200).

If you press the (Windows Key + P) together, holding down the Windows key, is the option Extend selected? If not, can you select it please (still holding down the Windows key, press P a couple of times until Extend is selected).

How have you setup the two monitors, their resolution mainly but anything else?

I want to install a two-monitor set-up. After Windows 7 driver install, Windows detects the new LG 2486L as 'LG 2486 (Digital) on Standard VGA Graphics Adapter' and shows only one display icon as #1, failing to detect the older NEC display altogether, thus no option to extend the display onto a second monitor appears in, 'Change the appearance of your display'.

I am running the DVI cable that came with the new LG monitor. I am using an VGA/DVI adapter to connect the older VGA monitor. I disconnected the NEC monitor and restarted the system using only the LG monitor connection and still get the same result.

Monitors:NEW: LG 2486L (DVI Cable)
OLD: NEC LCD 1530V (VGA Cable w/Adapter)
System: Windows 7 64-bit

Hello everyone Here is my problem I am running Windows Ultimate Edition on my desktop PC I installed a fairly old graphics card dont need anything fancy for software programming It is a Jaton PCI with MB memory Also I have a ATI Radeon HD Pro Installed I cahnged my BIOS to boot PCI first instead of PCIe Windows will boot up but no display on the ATI Monitors Dual Card I go to device manger and it shows both cards Dual Monitors with no conflicts and working properly When i access the displays menu in Windows it will only show my montior on the Jaton card and will not show my ATI card as being active Is there anything i can do to get these two cards to work together I thought i was really good at computers but now haha this has thrown me for a loop I found this post Triple Screen troubles it was identical to my problem except my setup was different his method of fixing his problem i dont think is going to work for me Also the ATI card has two DVI ports and a S-Video i just dont have another monitor with DVI When i use a DVI to VGA converter the monitor wont come on it will stay in power save mode I know the ports on the card are working because I can remove the converter and plug it up to my other monitor that has DVI on it and it will power up So any help to solve either one of these problems will be greatly appreciated If there is anymore information you may need please let me know Thanks Jonathan P S Sorry for making Dual Monitors another thread concidering I found one already that was close to my Dual Monitors problem I just couldnt find exactly what I was looking for

When you right click on the desktop and select Resolutions do you get the option for both cards there?

If you dont, have a look in Device manager and see if they are both WDDM 1.1 Cards because i believe they have to be to run together.

If you do, try installing the actual drivers for your monitors, as that fixed similar problems mentioned at the end of my original thread...

I just bought another monitor for my computer. Is it difficult to set up two monitors, or can I just plug in the second one and go?

A:Dual Monitors

Depends on your video card. If it has two ports (and is set up to use them--not all video cards are), you can easily set up the display settings to use both monitors. (I assume you want to extend the monitor.)

I am having some "detection" issues with my KVM switch on a Windows 7 machine.

As you can see in the above diagram, PC 1 has two monitors connected to it. One coming off of the KVM (monitor 1) and one coming straight from the computer. (Monitor 2)

Now whenever I switch to PC 2 and back to PC 1, Monitor 2 goes dead and I have to re detect in Windows. Is there any way to get it to automatically re-detect after I switch back to PC 1?

A:KVM + Dual Monitors

The issue is caused by that the KVM did not support DDC/EDID communication check/feeding between connected system and console monitor. You can either find KVM switch support FULL-TIME All DDC/EDID or just put a VGA-EDID emulator between PC1 and the TK-207K.

I have a home workstation (Win7 Ultimate 32 bit) with dual monitors connecting to my office workstation (Win7 Ulitmate 64 bit), which has 3 monitors. The checkbox in Remote desktop to allow dual monitors is checked but I cant get the second monitor to work (through the VPN). I have tried disconnecting the 3rd monitor to match the number of monitors, but that didnt work. Anyone have any thoughts? Thanks

A:Dual Monitors using RDP over VPN

Original post was incorrect. Office workstation had Windows 7 Professsional. The host computer needs to have Ultimate installed to allow the dual monitors to work using remote desktop. Upgraded to Ultimate and it works great.

Not really dual monitors. 22inch LG monitor, and 50 inch plasma tv.
I have a new HP HPE-150F, with an Nvidia 230GT video card.
What I would like to be able to do is watch a movie, with media player, on the tv, using the hdmi port on the back of the computer, while still allowing my wife to use the computer, on the monitor using the digital connection.
Is this possible?
The computer has the power to run both, but can't find how to set it up.
Thanks in advance.

Hello everyone... I have grown very impatient while attempting to setup a second monitor to my computer. I have a NVIDIA Geforce FX 5200 and I have read that they are capable of running 2 monitors. I need to run 2 monitors in order to keep up with more online poker tables... The sooner the better.
My video card has the 24 pin slot, and the 15 pin slot on the back of the video card. I have bought cords/connectors so that both monitors are hooked up through seperarate cords... VGA/DVI? :-D Anyway...I figured that I could just hook both of them up and restart...

When I go to properties/display my computer only picks up one monitor... Please help me.

Maybe you have to go through a NVidia software, or maybe a NVidia wizard? I would think that if you installed the drivers AND the NVidia software what there would be an option somewhere to enable this.

Currently I have a single W2371d monitor attached to my computer. I have now purchased a second monitor of the same type. How to attach the 2nd montor, should I use the Display Port or the HDMI port ? The computer seems to have a DVI, HDMI and a Display Port. The 1st monitor is attached to the DVI using a DVI to VGA adaptor. The desktop has a NVIDIA Geoforce GT 640 video card.

hello everyone, i have a digital monitor that i am now using with my EVGA 260 video card, i have an old analog flat screen monitor that i would like to use, they are not the same size, digital is 19 analog is 17, if i connect my anolog screen to my motherboard on board vga connector, how would i go about setting it up my system to use both monitors,
thanks in advance

A:Dual monitors

Even easier, connect the second monitor to the video card, no need for the onboard video. The only way the monitors being a different size is if you set them to clone mode (both display the same thing, a waste of time unless you're doing presentations or something). Just set the second monitor to extended mode and you should be good to go.

I recently bought a S-video/RCA cable to connect my computer to a TV. The RCA cable is connected to the TV while the S-video cable along with the green sound cable is connected to my graphics/sound card ports. Basically all the cables are plugged in the right spots.

I went through display settings and went to the second monitor and checked the extend desktop box, but every time I click apply it unchecks itself and does not work. It use to work but it doesn't anymore.

Now I don't know if I am doing something wrong but I also can't change the resolution on the second display. It stays at 800 by 600. I have tried changing my main monitor to 800 by 600 and trying to recheck the box but that still does not work.

Any suggestions?

Hello I recently installed Windows and was playing around with it for most of the day yesterday I was able to get both monitors up and working I have a Vizio E VL and a Sony SDM-P W Yesterday I had the E VL Dual Monitors as the main Screen and it made the nd Display a Generic Nvidia Display monitor but both were working So last night I watched some preseason football on the Vizio on HDM and when I woke up this morning Dual Monitors the Sony was still working but the Vizio computer is on HDM had no signal input while I noticed the extended screen was enabled meaning my mouse disappeared onto the other blank screen so the thought occurred to me to restart So I restarted then it recognized my Sony with its proper settings instead of the Generic and only listed one monitor in the Display settings I did a detect device and was given a few Dual Monitors options of adding another monitor and tried to do that without any success so then I detached the Sony and tried to restart only with the Vizio on both ports the one it was originally in and the one the Sony was in with no success still no signal checked the connections and somehow I doubt it would be the cable and I admit that the symptoms in trouble shooting things kind of point to that but the cable is new and would love to entertain other ideas before getting a new one any suggestions

First idea is to install:

NVIDIA GeForce 305.53 64-bit download from Guru3D.com

Probably be good to go after.

This is going to sound stupid but does a vidio card have to have two outputs to drive two monitors?

A:Dual monitors

Yes, either that or two video cards.

Hello everyone, I'm still stumped. I have 2 samsung22 monitors hooked up to a 8800gtx running on windows7 64bit. The problem I've had ever since going to windows7 is 1 monitor works, the other just black screen with power on. I've gone into nvidia control panel and also through windows and it shows both monitors present but I noticed one monitor is attached through an analog cable but both are hooked up with the dvi cables. Could my card have a bad port? when I plug in monitor 2 in the r/s dvi port it shows the right side desktop portion of the extended view and when I switch to monitor 1 on the right side dvi port it shows the left side desktop view but nothing comes up when attached to the left side dvi port. I've taken a snap shot of my desktop and it shows both screens. I've tried older drivers as far back to 170's and nothing worked.

A:dual monitors

You are on the right track, if when either monitors are hooked up to the r/s it works, and when hooked to the l/s it does not, then I think it is safe to say that the l/s is bad. Have you tried removing the card and the drivers, and then reseating th card, then reinstalling the drivers? But wait, you said when you go into the display settings, you see both monitors when they are both hooked to l/s and r/s? Have you tried clicking the detect button to see what happens? Sorry I have more questions than answers.
