Preferred Solution: Is possible to Listen Stereo from 4 Speakers?

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/directdownload.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

A: Is possible to Listen Stereo from 4 Speakers?

as long as you have front, rear inputs for your
amp that you built & front, rear ouputs, then yes
you can.

plug another jack (3.5 mm mini jack/RCA) from your sound card's
rear output to the rear input of the amp then you're ready to go.

& dont forget, the rear speakers connected to the rear output
channel of your amp.

Windows only allows one default audio playback device. There may be some third party program that will do what you want, but not with the default Windows options.

Hi, weebo.
Double-click on the speaker icon in your taskbar and look for the
Microphone slider in the mixer "Volume Control" window. When you
slide up the mic controll you should hear your voice on the speakers.
It may not be very loud, this is to prevent feedback.
If you want to monitor whet your microphone is picking up you'll need
to use headphones.
I hope this helps.

My speakers do not work together. I have checked my speakers in another computer and they work both at the same time. with my computer they only work one at a time. When I try them in different sockets first I get one to work and then the other but not together. It started when I pressed by accident the mode button instead of the button to insert my cd. The yellow light is now on all the time. I don't know whether this is relevant or just coincidental.
Also I used to have the desktop themes icon on my desktop but this have disappeared. Any ideas please?

I have found that in order to use the "Stereo Mix" recording option, I have to have my speakers set as the default playback device. I have a USB headset that I use and I was wondering if there was a way to set that as my default playback device and still have my Stereo Mix pick up sound?

A:Using Stereo Mix without speakers

Unless the USB headset has its own control panel similar to the Realtek or Creative ones, then no as a USB headset in no way uses the drivers or features of a sound card.

Hi Folks,

I have an Acer Aspire SA80-Z970 desktop computer that I purchased about 3 years ago. Some time ago I noticed that I was only getting sound out of one speaker (right hand side). Trying different speakers or the built in monitor speakers did not solve the problem. I've tried updating drivers to no avail.
I've looked at "sound effects manager - AC97 audio control panel" and everything appears to be in order. I've even tried resetting defaults. There is a "test speakers" option there that proves only one speaker is working. As far as I am aware, this PC has an onboard soundcard. I'm running windows XP and also have Ubuntu Linux loaded on a separate partition. The same problems occurs in Linux.
Does anyone have any ideas?

Many thanks

Martin

I hope this is the right forum to ask.  I have a computer with Windows 8.1.  It has mini jacks on the back for line in, line out, rear left & right, side left & right, and center/subwoofer.  I'd been using the line out for computer speakers.  Now I have the line out going to a stereo amplifier.  I want to have the option of using the external computer speakers too.

I know I could do this with a splitter, but is there a better way?  I've tried the computer speakers in all of the other outputs.  I went to Control panel/sound/playback tab/speakers/configure.  I tested the speakers in all of the other outputs, and the test works.  However, the normal computer sound (which is now going to the stereo amp) doesn't come out of the computer speakers in any combination.

Is there a way to set it up so I can use either?

A:Setting up Stereo Speakers

The only problem here is, by the time you buy an amp, and everything you need to get it connected properly, you could just simply by a small set of 2.1 speakers.

For example this 25W set:
Newegg.com - Logitech Z313 25 w 2.1 Speaker System
Which may, or may not, be better overall.

Unless this is just something you want to do, just because you can.
Im not sure the best way to re-wire everyhting to work on the PC though. Perhaps others would have better advice in that area.

I occassionally connect external stereo sub woofer / speakers to my Vista laptop via a 3.5mm jacks & cable. Yesterday on doing so the laptop would not switch the sound over to the external unit but played my iTunes music through its inbuilt speakers. I swapted the external unit for another permanently attached to my XP laptop and found no change. I then played both external units over my XP laptop without any problem. It therefore seems that the problem lies with the Vista laptop and is probably a hardware issue. However I am wondering if it may be software related in that I may have managed to accidently touched a button or change a setting. I couldn't find anything useful within Control Panel Sounds and Audio Devices. Any ideas?

I have been playing music from a set of external speakers. Recently, only the main speaker was working, the speaker into which another corresponding speaker is plugged in, as well as the power source. The other speaker simply would not play audio. Depending on the position of the input in the jack, however, the other speaker would begin to function. I have googled this to no avail, perhaps my wording was the problem. I have checked my speaker's properties in Windows, have up to date drivers, etc. Any solutions so the input must not be in the specific position required for both speakers to function? A wiring problem perhaps? I'm more of a software person, not hardware.

When I use my headphones for gaming it tries to use 5.1 sound so I end up getting no sound from the center, only my left and right. I can fix this by going into sound > playback devices and changing the speakers configuration to stereo, but I was wondering why it isn't automatically doing this when I plug them in. I don't see "Headphones" in the list of playback devices whether I plug them in the front or rear or unplug my speakers either, only "Speakers".

Also I updated my audio drivers and played around in VIA HD Audio Deck. Headphones settings don't appear there either unless I switch from "redirected headphones" to "independent headphones" but then that gives me two audio streams or whatever.

I have a pair of stereo speakers, and because of the length of the power cord, and the length of of the 3.5mm jack cable, switching the speakers around is impossible. When I put headphones into the headphone jack in the left (or right channel) speaker, the channels are restored to their proper place. Now every time, as a result, every guy trying to murder me on the right sounds like they're on the left.

I have a Realtek sound driver, and no idea what sound card I have.

I want to get my MP3 player running through my CD player's speakers. Can anyone help?

A:Headphone jack to stereo speakers

Are you talking about a "boom box" type cd player? If so, your stereo needs to have some type of aux input. You can use the headphone jack of the mp3 player as an output but keep the volume low. Inputs are normally line level so they don't need a lot of power sent to them to amplify the music. Infact, sending too much of a signal into an input can damage a stereo. try to balance it so the volume you here from a cd and the mp3 player are the same. .1 watt is enough for the line level input.

I know there's a topic a lot like this one on these forums, but the guy had a different problem and it was never resolved.

my right speaker is the speaker that connects directly to the computer and to the AC adapter. however, the audio cable isn't long enough for it to reach all the way to the right side of my monitor now that i've stationed my tower to the left of my desk, so the right speaker is on the left, and the left speaker (connected to the right) is on the right. without spending money, is there any way to reverse the stereo on my speakers using software, preferrably?

and no, you absolutely cannot do it from the volume control in the control panel.

A:Reversing Stereo on my computer speakers

Hello! Welcome to TechSpot

Other than rewiring the speakers (advanced users only ),
I can only think of some games I've played that have
a software reverse stereo ouput in audio settings.

There are features in various recording software that will
also let you reverse stereo out put.

So there is no way. (without spending any $$)
I could be wrong here but not likely.

If length of cable is a problem, (advanced users only )
just cut the shortest one and
lengthen it with (b u t t) connectors ($0.45 usd radio shack)
and more wire to extend it to any length you want.

There are stereo extending cables too I'm using 2 right now.

Hello everyone My desktop has a basic integrated VIA HD audio chip For output purposes I have a pair of passably good headphones suitable for music films and games as well as the integrated speakers in my LCD screen which are awful but perfectly fine for podcasts YouTube alarm clocks chatting on Skype non-immersive games etc Currently the headphones are connected as the front speakers and the monitor as the rear speakers My case also has front connectors for headphones but I prefer not to use those since a the sound cable would get in the way and b the sound quality is slightly but noticeably worse What I'd like to do is to be able to turn the monitor's speakers on and off as quickly and easily as possible Unfortunately the monitor doesn't have a Mute button - or rather it's buried in the annoyingly slow OSD and turning the speakers on off requires nine button presses taking around ten seconds every time What I do right now is right click on the volume icon - gt Playback devices - gt quot Speakers quot - gt switching Quickly speakers between Stereo/Quadraphonic Configure - gt switch either to Stereo or Quadraphonic - gt click 'next finish' three times - gt Click OK This is faster than using Quickly switching between Stereo/Quadraphonic speakers the monitor quot Mute Quickly switching between Stereo/Quadraphonic speakers quot but not by much Here's the idea I had if the stereo quadraphonic setting for my default speakers happens to be stored as a Registry entry and if the change takes effect immediately even upon manually editing the Registry I could just put two reg files on my desktop and switch the monitor speakers on off with a double click or give them a shortcut and a keyboard quickbind Does anyone know if the above could work and where such a Registry entry might be located Or any other approach that might achieve what I want Thank you for reading this

A:Quickly switching between Stereo/Quadraphonic speakers

The usual and the way it's designed to work is you connect your speakers to the rear GREEN speaker jack on the PC (stereo speakers) or to multiple output jacks for 5.1, 7.1 speaker systems. When you want to connect your headphones, you connect them to the front panel headphone jack and when you do that it automatically mutes the external speakers.

Hi,

Windows XP Home
Dell DIM4400
Insignia Amplified Stereo Speakers (2)
w/ Subwoofer

What I want to know is, at what setting to PERMANENTLY leave
the volume adjustment that is on the speakers.

I noticed I was cranking up the volume using the "little speaker" volume control in the System Tray, and then also noticed the volume setting/adjustment on the (right) speaker itself was only about half-way.

Question:
Better to turn the volume setting on the speakers "ALL THE WAY UP" and leave it there?
or, use up to the MAX setting on the computer audio volume and leave the speaker volume setting half-way or thereabouts?

Could cranking the volume to max on the speakers damage or shorten the life of the speakers?
Or, are most speaker systems "built to take it"?

Thank you!!

.

Hi! My notebook only plays stereo on its own. I tried hooking it up to my computer speakers, but it still went only mono. I will test the speakers on my PC to see if they are not damaged. Plugged a cellphone headset, but still mono. I also tried plugging a gaming headset, but it will only work in stereo as long as I plug the microphone as well. My headset is a Sades SA-708. Have you guys seen this kind of problem already?

Thanks for the help!

A:Notebook not playing stereo on plug-in speakers

Hello and welcome Blacksmith mate the stereo switch sounds suspect to me as it could possibly be shorting the right and left channels out somehow when you push the plugs in. I am thinking this because it does it with different plug ins why the headset one works ok I cannot say.

I think you would need to take a look down the socket - not that without vey good eyesight you are going to see much and opening the machine looking would be what I would do but then again I have done a bit of work with laptops so easy to say.

First, my motherboard is equipped with an optical connection.

Now, on the pc, (1) of the speakers fell in need of replacement (Klipsch 2.1 - but in all fairness, they have more than 5 years wear). Great speakers for the price, but pc speakers nonetheless, a world apart from hi fi quality.

Due to their age, I'm considering hooking up to typical bookshelf speakers.

How does this go?

pc optical connection -> connects to where/how on receiver unit?

Also, is another piece of hardware required?

- Would both like to listen thru the receiver/amp alone when the pc is not powered-on, and too, when the pc is running (itunes or what not) thru the powered-on receiver/amp. By doing this I can lower the time/wear on the pc just to listen to music and gain better sound quality.

Could this be part of a larger problem? someone is talking to me but I can t hear them This also happens during Left Dead s intro movie lots of ambient sound effects and music but no dialog Odd I think this is being caused by a larger problem though My motherboard is a Gigabyte XTA-UD running Realtek audio drivers and a Logitech THX surround system plugged into the line in jacks on said mobo Here s what s happening The audio manager clearly indicates when I plug in the subwoofer center channel rear speakers etc but when I do 5.1 speakers only delivering stereo sound. Could this be part of a larger problem? the audio test I only get sound from my left and right channels I tried hooking up my speakers to my SPDIF out but I get no sound at all when conducting the speaker test The cable is good so that s not the problem Unlike the line in inputs there is no indication whatsoever that I have plugged in an optical device which seems odd to me The red light is on in the SPDIF out port which means it should be working correct Same deal with the coax output No sound or indication that anything has been plugged in Here s where it gets more odd When I play my games the sound comes from all speakers All except for the utter lack of voices from the center channel even though I can hear other sound coming from the center channel DiRT installed Rapture D audio alongside it which lets me configure my speaker setup However whenenver I try to choose any configuration stereo mono it kicks out an error message and tells me Windows cannot change my sound card settings which tells me this might be something more than a simple fix Other games like Puzzle Agent that are dialog heavy have the dialog coming out of the 5.1 speakers only delivering stereo sound. Could this be part of a larger problem? center channel All appropriate devices are enabled in the BIOS Lastly when I go into my playback devices there is a quot Realtek Digital Output Optical quot device but the properties show only the coax output no SPDIF icon I ve troubleshot all of these things to the fullest of my knowledge but am still left scratching my head Anyone have any ideas nbsp

Hi all!

I have a CREATIVE Sound Blaster ZxR PCI-E Audio Card, and would like to connect my Yamaha PSR-E433 Electronic Keyboard and a Tivoli Audio Digital Radio to my INTEL Core i7-6700K computer preferably on the same input, running MS Win 10 Pro 64-bit.

And hence, my question is as follows;

Can a 3.5mm Stereo Plug to 2 x 3.5mm Stereo Jack Splitter Adaptor INPUT sound?

Thank you very much in advance!

hi quick question, when ripping songs from cds should you use stereo or joint stereo. i noticed that no matter which 1 u use, the file size remains the same.

i would like to know whick one gives u the best quality and such....i want my songs to sound the way they do on the cds without losing any information.

A:Solved: Stereo or Joint Stereo?

If you want a technical answer look here

http://harmsy.freeuk.com/mostync/

and here

http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=31963&hl=stereo+joint

(it starts a bit flamey, but gets more interesting towards the end)

As for which to use, thats really a personal choice, many will say to go for true stereo, because that is more like the original. However, that isn't necessarily true. It is possible to recreate the original sound via joint stereo (all my music is stored in lossless format and uses JS), and JS performs better under compression than true stereo. Therefore, JS should out perform Stereo in any given amount of data, or, if the quality is the same, the JS compression will give more data to other parts of the track. (I hope that makes sense).

You need to bear in mind that there is only so much data to provide for the track, good compression concentrates the data where it is needed. JS allows more data to be used by more important or noticeable elements in the track.

Of course the best way to find out is to test it yourself and run ABX tests.

http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=16295&

Foobar2000 is a good tool to do ABX tests. Try to use quality audio equipment

Doing these tests will show you what your ears find is the best system, which is what it really comes down to.

It is important that you use a good encoder and a bit-rate that will give you a quality that you are happy with. If you are encoding in MP3, then make sure to use LAME. However, if you can use other encoders (if, for example, you are not limited by hardware compatibilty), there are better out there, Ogg Vorbis for bitrates up to 192, Musepack for higher.

One thing, if when you encode both JS and stereo the file size are the same, it sounds like you are encoding with CBR, generally its best to use VBR.

Also

i want my songs to sound the way they do on the cds without losing any information.Click to expand...

Although you should be able to find a level of compression that will make your tracks sound as good to you as the CDs, the only way to avoid any information loss is to us a lossless compressor (although then we're talking bigger files)

i am using virtual dub to record videos, and a i have a setup that has my mic played through my headset so when VD records the headset it hears me as well, but there is a delay so it has an Eco and that is a annoying, is there a way to listen to the mic but it doesn't reach the headset or something along those lines?

sugestions for good recording software is welcome also

A:'listen' to mic, but still have it muted

The problem is most likely a monitor setting in VD. When I was first recording some albums off a turntable using Audacity, I kept getting an echo through the speakers. The USB turntable would normally play the sound through the speakers fine until I tried to record it. Turns out, Audacity has a setting to turn monitor-sound on or off. I turned it off and all worked great. You might check VD for a similar setting.

hi there

I think it is time that the computer should be able to PERFECTLY understand the human through speech and respond back to him, like in movies (iron man even flubber ).
I used the speech recognition software in vista but it still needs loads of improvement.

So i was wondering if any of you know about any software which helps in doing this, or atleast something that can make the PC have cool conversations with you and read texts with you (i know about narrator, very robotic).

Eagerly waiting for any discussions regarding this.

Compuwhiz93

A:PC able to talk and listen

Although great improvements have been made with speech recognition, home computers currently don't have the capacity to comprehend fully spoken language. For a start off, words can have a slightly different meaning depending on how it is pronounced, and the context in which it is used. In addition, the human brain can recognise the same word when pronounced in many different ways by people with differing accents and dialogue inflections. Unless the speech recognition system in a computer has already learnt the word, and the ways that it may be pronounced, it cannot understand a word if asked to recognise it through audio input. Even if it does know the word, it might not recognise it if it comes in a different accent and inflection.

As regards the computer outputting speech, it is currently very robotic because the number of voices available is very limited. Although the pitch and speed can be varied, this usually affects all of what is being output by the same amount, unlike normal human speech which can change in pitch and speed dynamically. Whilst certain punctuation can make the pitch of the word prior to it rise or fall, the end result is still very much robotic.

Unfortunately, home computers simply don't have the memory capacity or resources in order to be able to speak and to understand speech in the same way as a human brain can. Mainframe computers fair better because they have more memory and resources available, in addition to more processing power thanks to them supporting multiple CPUs (realistic speech comprehension and reproduction is CPU-intensive).

Hey guys You know how Device? Mic USB to - Listen in USB Mic - Listen to Device? W you have an option to check off quot Listen to Device quot when looking at microphone properties and by doing so it plays the sound directly through your desktop speakers Well my question is how does one accomplish this in Windows XP I have a webcam setup but I would like to listen to the sound directly Preferably without having to run any software I can tell you my purpose if it helps I am using a webcam as a baby monitor I use Flash media Encoder and Justin tv to stream it The nursery is only a piece of plywood away from my computer so it goes right through Now I can play both video and audio through the browser when playing the feed in the browser But there is a delay So in Windows all I need to do is play the sound directly through the speakers and that way I don't have the problem of the sound being delayed Considering the video at night is useless because it's dark I'm not worried about that delay And during the day we can hear things fine so we can look over to the computer and see what we heard quite funny really Anyway like I said I'm trying to play the sound of the microphone directly over the computer speakers Does anyone know how to accomplish this

A:USB Mic - Listen to Device?

Hi,

Older sound cards had two sets of input output controls. One for input and one for recording. You were able to turn on the mic and speakers at the same time. Wasn't very useful as you always got feedback. Don't know about your sound card but have a look. Maybe you won't have the feedback if you can get the mic far enough away.

Good Luck, jim

Hi Folks,

My problem seems to only pertain to YouTube videos. Either they play with no sound, or else they don?t play at all. When they don?t play at all, I get an error saying ?You need to upgrade your Adobe Flash Player to watch this video. Download it from Adobe (Click here)?. But when I click to download it, I get another error saying ?Flash Player 10.1 is not currently available for your 64-bit web browser.?

Whenever the YouTube videos do play, I have no sound. I know it?s not a hardware problem since the sound is fine when watching other internet videos (such as news website videos, tutorial videos from Crutchfield Electronics, etc.). The problem only seems to occur with YouTube. Any suggestions? I suspect it is a driver issue or Adobe Flash issue. BTW: I have Dell Inspiron 546 desktop with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit version.

Thank you for any advice!

Hi guys. I have a problem that is really bugging me.

I think I blocked the streaming accidentally a few weeks ago : I clicked on 'Listen Live' on a radio station, and a warning popped up, and I think I made a mistake by clicking on 'block' or whatever instead of allowing the sound streaming through.

However even though I have uninstalled Norton now, I still can't get any sound. I'd really appreciate any help.

Is it something else that is blocking the sound (Windows Firewall perhaps?) and if so how can I resolve this problem? My operating platform is Windows XP. I have Realplayer.

I installed XP on an old laptop because win7 has latency issues with audio. This laptop is a dell and has the IDT hd audio drivers installed. Normally i would click on the speaker in the bottom right and go over to line in or mic and unmute it, that would allow me to be able to listen to the line. BUT i dont have any options for "listen" or "mute/unmute" I can still record but i can't hear what is being recorded. Under settings and recording devices the option for advanced settings is grayed out. My goal is to be able to record music with this laptop. But all the conventional methods have not been working. Is there possible a third party program that will allow me to hear my mic in real time (similar to karaoke) or some other IDT utiliy that would give me the desired options?
Anybody have any ideas?

A:HOw to listen to my Audible.com on another computer

I don't use the computer version of Audible, I listen off my iPhone.  That said, I believe there are options to convert to MP3 or burn to disk.

It looks like you can stream your books.

Go to Audible and scroll to the bottom of the page.
Select the Listening Apps link, second column top link.
Scroll to the bottom and select Audible Cloud Player Go To Library link.
Click the Play link under the icon of the book you want to listen.

You will have to have Silverlight installed.

If that doesn't work on your home machine Install Audible Manager from the Listening Apps page and convert them to MP3.

What would be something to check, if you can listen to cds but not music online. Whether we open windows media player, or browse to a favorite radio station's site to listen live, we can't listen. There are no errors, it connects, buffers and looks to be playing, but there's no sound. The speakers are on and work, because we can stop and listen to a cd. I don't see any mute that is on.

Anyone have any ideas??

Thanks,

virtually any radio station website I try will not play. I click on the listen live link (no matter if I'm on firefox or explorer) and it give an error message and shuts the browser down. I have windows xp media edition. Also, when I bring up my media player, and I click on the file link it gives a list of some videos/jpg that have been viewed in the past. They seem "stuck". I don't know if the problems are related? Help?

A:My PC Wont Listen To Me Anymore

Hi likekinds. . .

Welcome back to TSF.

I haven't used this option, but there have reports involving various devices that have just stopped functioning. I don't know if your's is one of them or not. For me it is my mouse pad, others it is DVD, sound, etc...

Try running the system file check/repair utility -

START | type cmd.exe in the start search box | right-click on cmd.exe | select Run as Admin.

At the command prompt type the following:

sfc /scannow

Hello all,
I am using ASIO4ALL with Traktor 3 so that I am able to get 2 channels out of my soundcard.
What I mean is that I am using one channel for the speakers and another channel for my headphones.
I need the headphones so as to listen to the "Cue" Deck.

I have connected my speaker system to my soundcard with one cable.
But I had figured out (when I used XP) that I was able to have what I want when the settings were 5.1 speaker system at realtek settings.

Now I cannot listen to anything from Traktor 3 when using ASIO4ALL.
What can I do?
Thank you for your time.

A:ASIO4ALL and Traktor 3 / Cannot listen anything

This is mystery to me as well. I tried using ASIO4ALL with FL Studio 8/9 but couldn't get any sound at all...

I was given a beautiful set of speakers for my computer and I would like to set it up so that I can listen to music on radio while surfing with my friends in TSG.

Two questions:

1. What is the best application to do that...

2. Does listening to radio while surfing slow down your connection...

Hi,

I am using my mp3 player when I am not at home or doing sports. Plus I am a heavy user of Deezer where I have organized all my music. I know that there is a function to use deezer offline on a smartphone but there are multiple reasons (quality, bulkiness, battery) why I really don't want to use my smartphone on the go.
Is there any possibility that could allow me to use some of my deezer-music on my mp3 player (sony walkman, no internet connection)?
Would be happy for any hints

A:Listen Deezer offline on mp3 player

No. You need the app/program installed for the service to work. An mp3 player doesn't run software, it only reads/play specific audio format files.

I contacted a radio station to get a few audio clips and they allowed me to download them. Unfortunately, they are in *.rm format. My friend said something about decompressing them, but I'm not sure what he meant by that. I have to burn the audio clips onto CD for a few people, but I can only drop them into Nero if I make it a data cd. How can you listen to the *.rm format on a normal cd player?

I recently reset my computer to factory settings.

When i tried to go to my favorite online radio station to listen at first I got an error saying no plugin was installed so I installed the window's media player plugin, the station tried to play for half a second and now when I try I get nothing at all.

The URL is 105.9

Is there a different plugin I should be looking for? How can I tell what plugin the site requires?

How can I just find the streaming URL of a station so that I can load it directly into windows media player?

Currently I have 3 Temp monitor (BIOS included). Currently I have a E6550 processor, stock everything. When I play games it goes up to 70c (Core temp wise) and Im idling at 42-43(core temp). but on CPU cool 8.0.4 and BIO's im idling on 35+'s and full load at 50+'s. Subject is, which monitor is giving out the right temp?

A:Who should I listen to CPU cool? BIOS? Coretemp?

Well, if you have 3 programs, find a situation where 2 of the programs produce the same values, and then I'd go with them. This is because all the programs read from the same temp probe, but some could stuff it up. BIOS is normally correct, but there could be a malfunction of some sort.

so when i had xp i could launch WMP with my speakers and change to output to my headphones. the music would play on the speakers and i could play a game on my headphones at the same time. now it changes the moment i switch default audio outputs.

A:Can I Listen To Audio On Two Devices At The Same Time?

You can specify within Winamp or other software to use a particular output that is different than default output. So both can work this way at the same time.

What you can't do is clone an output to be same as another output device. You'd need special hardware that handles that, like my spec.

So I signed into the metro style Skype app on windows 8.1 but could not find voice messages. I tried on the surface rt app but no option for voice messages. I tried logging into the Skype website and again could not find my messages.

So how does one listen to their voice messages in Skype?

Hi, you haven't mentioned what phone you are using or the OS.
On my Lumia 930 running Win10 mobile, I use the 'Groove Music' app, then go to 'Songs' and 'Shuffle all'.
This then plays my music library (without commercials or issues).
