I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Following are the specifications for the eMachines® EL1210 desktop series.

I'm afraid I don't know enough about the tech to suggest a CPU.

On an SFF system with a 220w PSU your video card options are going to be rather limited.

Here are some recommendations:
ECS NGT430C-1GQR-F GeForce GT 430 = $57 ($37 after rebate)
ASUS ENGT430/DI/1GD3(LP) GeForce GT 430 = $60

A Geforce 430 is about the max you can go with that PSU. Make sure that any card you get has a fan since that SFF case gets pretty hot and doesn't have great airflow so a fan less card will likely bake in there.

Does anyone know whether or not I can upgrade my current processor? I have an eMachines WMCP78M motherboard. The current processor is a 2.4 Ghz AMD Athlon LE-1620. I just bought this computer, but with single core processors going the way of the dinosaur I wanted to know if I could upgrade this while the AM2 socket is still serviced. This case is a low profile case. In other forums, I've read that I may need to upgrade the cooling fan if I upgrade the processor. Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

A:Upgrade options ..eMachines T6000

Can you include some details on the PSU?

I went through much the same situation with this old HP I used to have. I popped in a Geforce 5200 in 2004, it worked fine for a while, and began to lag behind. I seriously considered upgrading it, but I figured I could get the cash to build a new rig.

As for my amateur advice, I would say build early. Wait until DX10 crests on the market, and some good, mid-level cards with support come out (don't splurge for the 8800, in a few years they won't even be average-performance cards). So that'd be about 5 months.

If you can't stand it until then, I would recommend just a moderate upgrade. Nvidia is selling off some old AGP cards- 6800's and whatnot, which would get you decent performance to tide you over until you build a new system.

Also, nothing you buy is going to be even moderately effective if you keep that RAM the way it is. 512 MB is not too much of an upgrade, and with the oh-so-common PC3200 standard waning it's especially cheap right now. You can get 512 MB budget memory for anywhere from 30-70 dollars, depending on whether you do it online or not.

Hope this helped.

Here are the full specs for my machine. NOTE: I added an extra stick of 512mb ram and a visiontek xtasy with an ati radeon 9100 chipset video card.

Will someone help me pick out a GOOD motherboard that fits this machine? I'm looking to spend 50 to 70 dollars on one. I also don't know the form factor of the motherboard.

I'll also be upgrading the videocard soon too.

A friend bought me a new emachines with Celeron Dual core 2.0 Ghz and good ram ect. but i was wondering if i could swap out the cpu for a better one i know what the FSB it has and class of cpu's it supports. i was looking a core 2 duo or core 2 quad they match and are supported by the board i no PSU and fans would need updated as well but what all would i Have to do or would the stock emachines install of window and my bio mess with me. as i said i'm kinda new to the more in depth tweaks. Any help is appreciated.

A:Emachines upgrade?

Bear in mind , e-machines are made cheaply to sell cheaply. While you might be able to upgrade the CPU, the other components would probably bottleneck. In short, it probably isn't worth it. You might be able to add some ram, but I really wouldn't waste the money on a cheap budget computer like e machines. If you haven't already done so - replace the PSU - emachines are notorious for blowing PSUs which in turn take out the mobo.

i have this older emachines PC i just picked up,, It has windows vista on it (yuk) along with a recovery partition to reset it back to factory specs.

I shrank the C: drive and split the drive so i now have:
C: W7U
D: Vista
E: Emachines Recovery
Or well thats how im trying to get it set up BUT everytime i install W7 the machine thinks it needs to be recovered and boots into system recovery options.
Im lost theres bound to be a way to disable it from the bios maybe? Any one have any ideas??
Im posting here first,, guess ill research and see why i can find or see if one of you guys here can help???

A:Older Emachines, trying to upgrade to W7U

Are you trying to upgrade vista or do clean install?

I'd recommend clean install if W7U dvd supports. There I'd merge c and d and format. If setup won't even start... Then use bootable gparted cd or live ubuntu and partition and format that way... Then w7 setup should start fine.

Pull drivers folder off vista install in case you need them

Hi, I noticed there was a post by member visschan titled
Solved: eMachines EL1333G-01w CPU Upgrade HELP please!
Basically member was typing to find an upgrade CPU for EL1333G-01w

I also have the same machine and was enthused that there was an upgrade path. I did the same research on the CPUs and ended up purchasing a Athlon Neo X2 6650e which is a 35W dual core CPU. I was after the lowest power CPU I could get since the machine is on most of the day.

Well I did the installation and powered on. The CPU runs but hangs as it tries to boot Windows. I read that the BIOS might need upgrading before changing a CPU core. Anyone know if its a BIOS issue or is the 6650e different to say 5050e or 4850e?

Any help Appreciated.

A:eMachines EL1333G-01w CPU Upgrade

Some more information on this issue:

The BIOS is Phoenix-Award version P01-A4. It has a release date of 12/17/2009. I checked around and as far as I could make out that's the latest for this machine. The BIOS does run. everything looks normal at that stage.

I make a bootdisk with this ISO "X17-59465.iso" and tried to boot from that. it loads files, then comes up with the "Starting Windows" screen but that's as far as it just hangs on that screen

If I pop the 2850e CPU that was originally in it back in it behaves normally. Evidence is that the 6650e is running ie its not DOA.

the search continues

Can I just insert the disk and load XP Pro or are there issues with this because it's an emachine? The machine has a recovery partition.

A:Upgrade emachines with XP to XP Pro Question

as long as the xp pro is not being used on another computer and is either a full retail or upgrade version, you should be able to use it. You may have to go to emachines website and download their drivers after the install.

If it is oem or from another computer you cannot.

A:Upgrade motherboard in emachines pc

Normally when you swap MB's it would be best to re-install windows , Drivers etc.XP may make you re.register because of the significant hardware change.
There are many other drivers than just the IDE controller to consider.
Also Emachines are not the most upgrade friendly.I would first go to their Web and see what they support for this upgrade.
Let us know what you learn their.
You cannot use another XP disk as your oem license will not be accepted by it.

Ok, I have this emachine computer and don't feel like buying a new one, I just want to be able to have dual display.

I've heard way too many horror stories with emachines and video upgrades. So should I just keep the onboard and just get a single 24'' or something?

I don't want to fry my mother board and I'm not hardware savy at all.

Or if there is a good tutorial for video upgrades for this exact machine somewhere that would be awesome, but doubt it.

I am wondering what I can do to cost effectively upgrade performance

I was thinking about just changing out the CPU do you think that will give a performance increase worthy of the time / trouble, I cannot afford to buy new motherboards and cpu's or a new OS.

I downloaded cpuz and here are some screen shots

A:Upgrade CPU - eMachines T3638 w/Celeron 420

SSD for overall increase. But that won't do anything for gaming. I'd say your CPU needs an upgrade more than your GPU, but that runs into a couple more questions - I have no idea what that board supports other than LGA 775, for example, could you put a Core2Quad in it? The other question is what resolution are the monitors they are using? If you do another GPU upgrade you'll likely need a PSU upgrade as well...

Unfortunately for you (and for my desktop) DDR2 ram isn't very cheap compared to DDR3.

What is your budget? Perhaps recycling case, kb, mouse, monitor, possibly psu but doubtful, you could end up building new systems. I know you didn't want to do a new motherboard, but if we have a budget to work with that would help.

If you have a new HDD, take out what came with emachine and install the new one in it's place. Now you'll need to have Windows XP Pro CD handy to create a new OS and install. That old HDD can be use as a slave drive to access your old data.

Well that's one way to get pass things that don't want to work right...

Having read the stickies I am looking for a PSU recommendation. I would also like to upgrade my RAM and am seeking a recommendation for that as well. Newegg will be my source for both unless I'm directed elsewhere.

Currently I have the stock 2 sticks of 256MB and have 2 slots open. 4GB is the max. capacity for this unit. The sticky I read leaves me wondering how far I should go with this. I am led to believe that DDR-333 (PC2700) would work for me.

I've only taken my case off once to vacuum out the dust bunnies. Never the less I believe I can manage to do this much on my own. This is my first computer (3 years old now) and I've yet to approach it's capabilities. I am still a novice. Thanks.

I cannot find any upgrade info from emachine/gateway on your system. Honestly emachine uses very low end parts and I highly doubt it is going to support a 4core cpu like a 9850. IMO if you want a better/faster system, your money would be much better invested in a refurbished dell. Generally you can pick one up for $200 or so with 4gig of ram and a modern cpu AND the system can be upgraded to win10. BTW win10 is NOT a supported os for your current system as per the support page for your system.

I have an older eMachines Desktop PC model EL1360G which has a 200 watt power supply.
I would like to upgrade it to at least a 400 watt power supply.
Does anyone have a suggestion as to where or what I should buy? I watched a few videos on youtube on how to do the replacement but how do I know all the plugs on the new unit are the same and will fit? Because if they don't, I'll be more confused than I already am.

A:Emachines power supply upgrade

Check and make sure all the connectors are the same as the ones you have

I'm not certain if the image above is what you have but I'm thinking it is.

Image above looks to have:

1x 20pin+4pin (ATX Power)

1x 4pin (P4)

2x SATA power
Does your power supply have these and only these?

You can change your hd for ssd at least 100 GB . Buy a case for external HD, and use the original hd of her machine, as the same external hd . replace the memory of 1 GB for a 2 GB . Your D525 will be very fast.

I am trying to upgrade my memory in my Emachines T1440. Currently I have 2 128mb DIMMs installed, I am trying to take one stick out and install a 256 mb DIMM, to total 384mb. When I do this, the computer will only recognize 128 mb. The max ram is 512 on this motherboard. The specs are:

emachine T1440
Motherboard: TriGem Lumita
Motherboard chipset: Intel 810e Chipset
Intel Celeron 1.4 GHz Level 2 Cache 256mb
2 128MB SDRAM PC-133

The stick I am trying to install is: 256mb PC-133 non-ecc, non parity, SDRAM. Should I do something in BIOS?

Thanks for your help!

The key question on upgrading the video card is how powerful is the PSU. Please provide the make and model number of it and the total wattage and how many volts on the 12v leg. If you are not sure how to do this or what I am asking for, take a look at this page - about half way down.

The rest of the page - and webiste - also provide good info about upgrading a video card so you might want to browse it too. But don't expect to be able to put too strong a video card in it. You might find some helpful information on low power requirement video cards on this page of the above site:

Although it is targeted at general purpose and HTPC systems, some of the faster cards on that page do allow some basic gaming.

A:[Q] cpu upgrade for eMachines w3619 w/ ECS 945gct-m3 motherbord

Hello CM Mate I don' think you are going to make that CPU speed mate as the CPU support on that boards site

only lists up to that 2.93Ghz dual core the Intel Core 2 Extreme X6800 (B2) now having spent a bit of time rehashing such machines some of these older cores can be quite hard to find and expensive at that I recently tried to find Q5500 quad and it was more than a current i7!

Personally that E4700 looks the go for what you want.

Can you load up a few of the machines specs too mate as it would be good to see what you currently have CPU, RAM, and drive wise too.

Plus going to larger and better things you might have to look at testing the PSU to see if it will cope!

But specs first ok?
The BIOS and stuff can be sorted once the hardware is sorted.

A:Upgrade options?

You've only really a couple of options, both of which are to change the CPU for something more powerful, or overclock your existing unit.

Might be worth seeing what sort of money you could get a hex-core i7 980x for now the newer LGA 2011 is out, but ultimately your best bet will probably just be to get a bloody good aftermarket cooler and overclock your CPU.

As for coolers, dependant on your case, the Corsair H70/H100 radiator coolers, a Noctua NH-D14 or something like a Thermaltake Silver arrow.

Another option would be some faster RAM. DDR3-1600 would be recommended, maybe go for 24GB if you're finding you're using all of it up at the moment.

Overclock your Ti4200. You should be able to get Ti4600 speeds without problems. That should boost your 3dmark score a bit. Other than that your PC should pretty much run anything out there. If you are looking to upgrade your video card in the near future then don't get an older Directx8 compatible card. Get FX or Radeon 9700 Pro or one of the lower Radeons like the 9500. Other than that a faster processor would improve matters but for the moment you shouldn't really need it.

I have got an Intel Pentium(R) III Coppermine (700mhz). I want to improve performance on my PC which is a Packard Bell iConnect 1200 and I have already upgraded my hard drive to a Maxtor 80GB and upgraded my RAM to 128MB and my OS to XP. I plan to upgrade the RAM to 256MB and later 512MB but I'm not sure about my processor.

Do I need to get a new motherboard if I wanted to get a new processor with more power e.g. more than 1ghz?

Could I replace it with a P4 or would I need a new MB?

Is it possible to take my old one out and put a new one in just like my RAM and HDD?

A:Upgrade Options

If it is a Packard Hell then the motherboard and most of the components will be proprietary. This means that standard ATX power supplys, and motherboards will not fit into the case. You will have to upgrade since a PIV will not fit in that motherboard. If you are planning on going that far just get new everything. You can still use the hard drives and video card (if it is in a slot and not integrated) in the new PC.

What graphics are you going to be doing? upgrading your PC won't be a cheap excercise.

You going to have to replace most of your hardware, If you want a faster chip, you need a newer mobo, which would need minimum of a 300W PSU and the board won't support SD RAM which I'm sure you have ATM you would need to get DDR Ram.

A:upgrade options...

If you are looking to upgrade from Office Pro XP, your current upgrade options are Office Pro 2003 and Office Pro 2007. You're looking at about $400 if you find a good deal on it. I would recommend taking a look at the features of 2007. It would have a much greater learning curve compared to 2003, as it has been completely redesigned. The new features and new layout do a number on increasing productivity once you learn where all the features are located. I wouldn't recommend making the upgrade from XP to 2003, as there is not a whole lot of difference between them (it would be hard to justify the $400+).

A:Upgrade options

Your best bet: get yourself a new graphics card. Getting an X1950Pro AGP version might seem like a good idea, but your CPU would hold everything back if you did so.

Might be a good idea to bump the mem to 2 gigs, but the performance increase would be quite minimal I think.

I'd say the Geforce 6600gt AGP might be the slowest you'd want. The X800 might be ideal. Something more powerful than that wouldn't show much of an improvement IMO. With the X800 you might be able to play Oblivion, but don't expect awesome graphics.

You might also want to overclock your CPU, but its a risk. If you blow something up you'd need to get a new comp.

Hey folks!
Thank you for your time on this -

When Windows 7 was released, I upgraded through student pricing, and got Home Premium.

I bought a mac and I need to install Windows 7 on it - I'm just wondering how I can find out if I have a 1 user license? I read somewhere that sometimes it's a 3 user license, but I don't think so since I bought a student license.

I'd also like to know if I upgrade to Professional, if I can have multiple user licenses for that as well?

A:Upgrade options - Mac Install

I'm pretty sure that the student pricing is only one license. The only way you get a 3-user license is through a special family pack option, which wouldn't be available with student pricing.

If you upgrade to Professional, you will still have a 1-user license. Even if you had the family pack option, I don't believe one Pro upgrade license could upgrade the entire pack.

So I'm planning on buying some more memory. I was thinking 3 A-Tech (Cheap) 2GB DDR2-800s. But I have some choices on how I want to upgrade it. Here's my current specs:

DIMM1: Kingston 2GB DDR2-533 (5-4-4-12)
DIMM2: Samsung 1GB DDR2-800 (6-6-6-18)
DIMM3: Hynix 1GB DDR2-667 (5-5-5-15)
DIMM4: Hynix 1GB DDR2-667 (5-5-5-15)

As you can see, lots of mismatching. I was thinking I'd swap out both Hynix chips (Stock memory) and my only 2GB, for a total net upgrade of 2GBs, that way all my memory will run at 800 instead of 533, but unfortunately I'd still have that one running at CL6. Or swap out all the 1GBs for 2GBs for a total net increase of 3GBs but still running at 533 due to that Kingston chip?

What do you guys think the best route is? Thanks!

G'day allstar 07, I don't know for sure but the 100 bus speed is your limiting factor as far as I know. This kind of makes a P3-600 about as far as your envelope reaches.
I would suggest it as not being a worthy adventure, maybe increasing RAM might help but your end product and expense becomes dubious.
Compaq stuff is not really helpful with technical help in upgrading.
If you only wanted the machine for general internet and email kinds of use there is a Linux operating system called Puppy Linux or Puppy Chubby that would cover your needs and give surprising performance with a complete suite of all programs but nothing really compatibile with microsoft stuff, it is free and really works well. There are some other limitations.
Sorry no help with the processor info. Memory and processors have moved on since that era and even memory for those machines is more expensive than the newer stuff.
Cheers, qldit

My four(?) year old system's getting a bit slow, and I'm wondering what my next upgrade should be, so any suggestions on this would be most welcome.

My "Behemoth" is:
333 Celeron @ 416MHz (tho' I might be able to get it to 500 with a good heatsink/fan combo(?!))
BX motherboard
Sound Blaster Live Value soundcard (bought as OEM)
Intel i740 AGP Graphics card
32x CD-ROM
4.75 GB HD (speed unknown) <- Edit: added

My OS is Win'98 SE, and the main apps/progs I run are games and mid-level graphics programs like Photoshop 5.0 and GIMP.

A:Suggested upgrade options

Your system does not sound like it would work well for games and graphic software. I wouldn't recommend a Celeron processor for that type of work.

I would recommend a high-end Pentium III or a low end Pentium 4. Don't buy the high-end Pentium 4's since they are overpriced and the benefits do not warrant the high cost.

For gaming, you should get a really good graphics card. Some other people here could probably recommend some good ones. Unless you're playing the latest and greatest games, don't spend the money on the best high-end graphics card. Purchase a step down. You'll save a great deal of money without sacrificing quality.

Your CD-ROM is fine. You only need a DVD drive if you plan to watch movies on your computer or a specific game only comes on a DVD.

Your RAM should work in a new system as long as the motherboard supports SDRAM. All but the newest and most high-end systems do. I would bump it up to at least 256 for games and graphics.

If you're not comfortable building your own system, look for local computer companies that assemble computers from various parts. That way you'd be able to use your components (memory, CD-ROM, memory, maybe hard drive, sound card, case).

Hi,I recently purchased a HP 15-AF112NA with 8GB of RAM. Im running a VM, and would like to increase the RAM to 16MB to speed things up a bit. Are there 2 RAM slots in the HP 15-AF112NA to allow me to install 2 X 8GB? I had a look online and dont see any RAM options for the HP 15-AF112NA model. Any help is greatly appreciated. thanks

You must remove the whole back cover, and it is technically only supposed to be done by an authorized tech. How do you determine what processors are supported by the A07 BIOS on a DELL OC2JKT motherboard? I'm contemplating putting in an i7-880 processor in the LGA1156 socket in place of the i5-650 currently on board? The H57 chipset should be compatible with either processor.

The x1 carbon gen 1 uses an SSD that is not the "normal" mSATA drive and is not M.2. I have used an adapter like the one in your link (different brand) to allow the use of a different drive and it works fine. The problem is that yours supports M.2 drives that are format 2242 (42mm long) but not the more common 2280 format cards. I could find no adapters to work with 2280 drives, and it looks to me like there wouldn't be enough room anyway. The only 512GB M.2 card I have seen in 2242 format is this one:
I am not recommending a particular brand or seller.

A:XPS 13 motherboard upgrade options?

It doesn't look like any of these shipped with more than 4G of RAM -- and the i7 you have now is the fastest CPU they shipped with. The L322x mainboard will not fit the L321x despite external similarities in design.
The only option is a drop-in replacement. That said, also beware these models, as the mainboard is different depending on the screen type (touch vs. non-touch) and the resolution (FHD vs. HD) -- if you buy the wrong board, you'll then need to replace both the display and display cable.
With boards going for $250-350 (L321x) and up to $400 for the L322x -- and with complete used L321x systems going for $200-300 on EBay (with L322x systems starting about $50 higher), you may be better off buying a complete used system. Or, since it's going to be a significant percentage of what a new system will cost -- replacing the system with a new unit. At least you'll have a new warranty (vs. nothing to 90days at best on parts or a used system).

If you would use two RAM modules with different speed, then the faster RAM i.e: 1600Mhz will be clocked down to the speed supported by 2nd RAM i.e 1066Mhz.
Therefore I would recommend you to use two identical memory modules

I have downloaded the upgrade version of Windows 8 (64) - Saved as an ISO image and created a bootable DVD!

Will I be able to boot from this DVD, rather than perform an install from within Windows 7:-

Can I then perform a clean (Select Customize) installation on a deleted SSD (Disk 1); namely, my second SSD; rather than my first SSD, Disk 0, with the Windows 7 operating system on!

My aim is to get Windows 8 up and running, before I delete Windows 7 (I will transfer Windows 8 to Disk 0, at this time)

Does the installation of Windows 8 upgrade, need to see my existing Windows 7, installation on the disk it is installing on!

If I proceed in this manner, will the Windows 8 installation procedure, recognise my Belkin Wireless Adapter, type F5D8055!

Or will I need to install a driver - And if so, how!

Presumably, I need to go on line to update and verify registration!

I would appreciate advice on these matters.

You can do a clean install, but you need to delete the Windows 7 install.

I've not been around much lately so apologies if I missed a discussion on this elsewhere.

I noticed this small sentence in the Windows Blog post announcing Windows 8.1 Update 1

If you are still on Windows 8, you can get the Windows 8.1 Update via the Windows Store on April 8th as well.

Windows blog link

I'm guessing this means the following?
The option in the Windows 8 Store to upgrade to 8.1 will be replaced by an option to upgrade to 8.1 update 1.The option in the Windows 8 Store to upgrade to Windows 8.1 (with no update) will disappear
Does that sound right/ likely?

I guess it also means that if you really want to update 8.0 to 8.1 without the update, and only have access to the Store upgrade to do it, you may be best advised to do it now?!

A:Windows 8.0 upgrade options to 8.1 after April 8th

That sounds about right. Microsoft have updates all their Windows 8.1 ISO images to now include update 1. It would make sense that the Store 8.1 Update would now include update 1

I've heard that if you don't apply update 1 to 8.1 you won't get any more security updates for 8.1. One of the updates in the update 1 package is a security update. That security update is a prerequisite for any further security updates.

hoping somebody can assit here. I have an old Inspiron 530 mini tower desktop. Not sure of the uP or MB model.
Got it new in 2007 and it has been generally a reliable PC, had one raid drive fail which I replaced and recently video card has failed so running off embedded VGA port. Power supply has just failed and replacing that with one from ebay.
Now I know 99% are thinking buy a new one! Finances don't allow that but I could probably afford some upgrades if cheap enough.
Replacement Video card is easy however I'd like a bit more grunt to deal with the new OS WIN10 & associated programs out now so looking at potentially a MB upgrade.
Can anyone advise suitable upgrade option for a Dell MB that that would fit the mini tower and power 300 W supply?

thanks in advance.

A:Dell Inspiron 530 upgrade options

I suggest an SSD boot drive and a Sapphire 6450 video card rather than a new motherboard. The IO shield of the 530 is non-removable, so you'd have to modify the chassis to fit a different motherboard. And, Socket 775 is long obsolete, so there are no modern choices available (with features like SATA 3 and USB 3).

Hi Everyone,

I have a Dell Dimension e521 with the following:

AMD Athlon 64X2 Dual Core Processor 3800+ 2.00GHz
2.00 GB DRAM
Windows 7 home premium 64-bit
NVidia GeForce 7300 LE

it is a secondary computer in our house, used by the kids. Its starting to show its age a bit, though, and I'd like to see what I can do to allow it to run older games without spending more than $200 and without upgrading the power supply (if I can avoid it).

Looks like I missed my window of opportunity a bit on the CPU and video card, though. In both cases, the recommended upgrade choices for this model no longer seem to be available, though I can get a valid CPU upgrade option from for about $80 (looks to be retail, including fan). But, I'm not sure on the video card, and not sure about the memory. So, any advice would be welcome.

A:Dell Dimension e521 upgrade options?

If it's over 5 years old I would forget trying to upgrade it.
Standards and component fitting-types have changed since then, so much of what you would need to fit the existing motherboard is no longer being manufactured or stocked, warehouses have been cleared to make room for the new generation of upgrade components which won't fit a 5-year old motherboard.

Having a new motherboard fitted into to the existing case, then having new components fitted to that, whilst physically possible does not economic sense. The cost would be something approaching that of a new PC unless you bought the necessary parts and did all the work yourself. The bottom line is that a new PC would make much more sense.

Ok, here's the deal. I have a Dell Inspiron 1501 laptop. It has a 1.6GHz AMD Turion processor. It also has an ATI Radeon Xpress 1150 Graphics card. I'm not sure how much memory it has and I don't know how to find out, but I think it's either 128MB or 256MB. Probably the former.

I wish to run a game that requires a 2.4GHz processor and a 256MB graphics card.

I know very little about what processors/graphics cards are compatible with my computer or how much they cost.

What are my options?
