I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/directdownload.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

The MDT GT 610, like all GT 610s, does still have two discreet outputs. In order to connect more than two displays, special integrated hardware splits one or both outputs which show up as a super-wide display in the control panel. When you connect three 1080p monitors, your control panel will show that you have one 1920x1080 and one 3840x1080 display (rather than 3 1080p monitors or a single 5760x1080 screen like in Surround.) Once you open and set the MDT EZY software, the pair of displays that show up as one in the NVCP will then act just like two individual monitors- windows will fit each screen individually and snap to the proper positions.Click to expand...

Hello again all,

As I was messing around at hp.com, I have found many various customizable laptops that I found online. However, it all boils down to the graphics card. I have a choice between 6150, 7200, and 7400. Now which one should I chose and how different are the performance between each card? I need help asap as college is starting soon and I want to get one as soon as possible.

A:Geforce Go 6150 or Geforce Go 7200 or Geforce Go 7400

The 7400 is the best option, since it's fastest, but you may not need a faster video card if you don't do activities that require a fast video card. This link may be helpful.

Hello!

Looking at these cards there is a bit of a price difference, the MSI is ?479 and the ASUS is ?299.
The MSI does have better specifications than the ASUS so in performance I would go with the MSI. Although for value for money the ASUS is very good! So if I was just going for performance I would choose the MSI but if I wanted value for money then the ASUS is the one I would go for!

Hi, Im thinking about buying a new graphic card and found a card i liked named ASUS GeForce 9400 GT. On the website where they sell it its located under the tab Nvidia, yet if I check out Nvidias prducts page their 9400 GT looks completely different from this one. Then I check out ASUS page and there I find it. So what's the difference between ASUS and Nvidia, why do their cards have the same name, and why does the website im buying it from put the ASUS card under Nvidia products????

A:Difference between ASUS GeForce and Nvidia GeForce???

Nvidia designs and makes the GeForce line of graphics chips. Other manufacturers such as Asus, evga, BFX, PNY and others then use the Nvidia chips in their graphics card designs.

Well, I'm looking at upgrading again, and in the interest of finances, I'm upgrading the video and keeping the rest of the system the same. I'm currently running an ASUS A7N8X-E Deluxe w/ Athlon XP 3200+ w/ 1GB of PC3200 ram. I'm looking at replacing my BFG GeForce 5700 Ultra with something a bit more modern and keeping the price low. I've found a 6600 (may be and LE version). The GPU and memory clocks are lower and the pixels/sec isn't as high, but the 6600 has support for Shader 3.0 and has the ability to process MPEG2 video on card which will help watching DVD's and with my TV card also. Plus there's the support for processing HD Video. I'm just looking for people's opinion on whether this is a good upgrade or not before jumping in. Fell free to say whatever. Thanks!

A:Integrated Geforce 6100 or old Geforce FX 5200

If you have lots of system RAM, then the 6100 is probably the best choice. You'd probably need at least a gig of RAM though.

If you only have 256, or 512, the 5200 might be the better choice. Best idea is to test your games with both setups, and see which plays better.

I recently bought a PCI (no e) graphics card the fx 5500, desiring a third monitor. I was told that i did not need SLI or Xfire as i did not intend to use both cards for games, i just wish for more display space while programming.

Unfortunately, the FX5500 only works whilst the gtx260 is unplugged from the power, otherwise the system with the displays connected to the gtx260 with some basic driver, even if the gtx260 is disabled and the fx5500 is working properly.

If both the cards are 'installed' in device manager at any one time, the last one to be installed will say that it has problems error code 43.

Any advice on how to get a third monitor up?

A:Mixing it up Geforce GTX 260 and a Geforce FX 5500

Either get an ATI card or if it has to be Nvidia, something from the 6200 and up. The problem is that while your are attempting to use 2 Nvidia cards they are using different drivers.

The FX 5xxx series doesn't have a Windows 7 driver (WDDM 1.1) and has to rely on the last Vista driver (a beta WDDM 1.0), and it basically cancels out the driver for the 260. The only way to use 2 non WDDM 1.1 cards is if they are a different manufacturer; ATI-Nvidia, Nvidia-ATI, etc. Same thing will happen with ATI cards if you try and run anything from the X19xx series and down with anything from the HD 2xxx and up.

I already have both cards in my possesion, so I don't need suggestions on getting a Radeon or a FX 5900 or anything like that.

The two cards in question are: MSI Geforce 4Ti 4200 128 MB, and an Apollo Geforce FX 5600 256 MB.

Which card is better for a gaming system?

System specs are:
Athlon 2000
MSI KT3V motherboard
512 MB PC2700 RAM
IBM 80 GB 7200RPM HDD
Win XP Home

How much do you have to pay for them?

(Unless you're getting either of the other cards dirt cheap)

The fx 5600 isn't a very good card and it won't be very future-proof...

Do you plan to keep the card for a long time, or upgrade in 6 months (or so)? And do you plan to play a lot of games which will be released during 2004, or mostly older games?

All of this will help determine what cards might be best suited to your needs...

Out of those 2 the 8400GS is better. But I'd recommend the 9500GT.

Hi, I just want to ask what is the similarity of NVIDIA GeForce FX 5500 and INNO3D GeForce FX 5500 ?and also their difference ..

thnx ...

A:NVIDIA GeForce FX 5500 and INNO3D GeForce FX 5500 Comparison

They are both the same card... specs can be found here.

Performance will differ via bus type (AGP or PCI) but they are both 5 series nvidia-based cards.

I have both of these cards laying around and am trying to decide which to run in my PC. The 7900 is a little older so I'm having trouble finding a direct comparison between the two. Does anyone know which is a better card?

A:GeForce 7900 GT OC vs. GeForce 250 GTS

The GTS 250 is essentially a rebadged 9800GTX+. It offers significantly better performance than the 7900GT.
Here's Tom's graphics card hierachy chart to give you an illustration of where these cards lie.
For a more direct comparison of relative framerate, choose the benchmark from the list. Both the 7900GT and 9800GTX+ (GTS 250) are represented.

This is a simple question.

Which card is better? GTX 260 or 9800 GTX+.

I'm going to be using Dual-SLI with these cards. So I will be buying two.

I want to be able to play Crysis....im high if possible.

I know the 9800 GTX+ can do Tri-SLI, which would make it better if I choose to Upgrade, but if the GTX 260 can out perform the 9800 GTX+ in Dual then I will go with that.

If anybody knows the comparison of these 2 cards, I would appreciate your comment.

A:GeForce 9800GTX+ vs GeForce GTX 260

Just to clear some things up. In which I know you didnt do purposely or may not know. SLI= two nvidia based cards...dual sli would be 4 cards. As I see it or normally reffered to quad SLI "Aghhem, anyway on to your question. The 260 reminds me of the old 8800 gts vs gtx/ultra situation. When the 8800 gts was "sli'd," it would perform better than the 8800 gtx in some benchmarks. With that being said, get two 260's for sli. Go to town, have fun.

I heard the A8N32 arent so good at handling two video cards running in X16 SLI
I cant find the thread where someone posted the reasons why. might wanna google around first and read some reviews of the chosen motherboard.

also it might be better value to run two 7800GTs on SLI isntead of two GTX's on sli as the performance increase going from on GTX to two isnt prolly much

The 9800 is a 256bit buswidth, and the LE version is only 128bits. Plain and simple, the LE version is crap.

I replaced my motherboard (lol...thanks guys for your help) and now i have a different video card.

i used to have a

GeForce 4 MX420 64 MB of SDRAM overclocked at 285 core and 404 memory

and a Celeron 2.0 Ghz with 384 MB of PC2100 RAM

and it got 3DMark2001 SE 330 score of

3200

well

now i have a

GeForce 2 GTS Pro 64MB of DRR RAM with a Core of 235 and memory of 458

on a Pentium 4 1.8 Ghz with 512 MB of RAM (133 mhz speed)

FSB is also faster on this new motherboard

and i only get a score of

2900

why is that?

is the GeForce 2 GTS Pro a slower card than the GeForce 4 MX420?

Can I use a ATI video card or am I stuck with a NVIDIA card only.

A:GeForce or ATI

You can use any video card that has a PCI-Express interface (from either ATI or nVidia).

Your motherboard only has "SLI" in its name to indicate that it's capable of SLI mode. It will work with ATI cards.

Greetings,

Would you please take a look at the Nvidia's specs for their GTX 450 and 460 graphics card and tell me if you think the differences between them is significant and on what basis you formed your opinion?

GeForce GTX 460 and GeForce GTS 450

Thanks.

A:GeForce GTX 450 and GTX 460

The 460 is definitely better. If you look on the specs sheet, you can see the differences in clock speeds, bandwidth, and actual power. The 460 has slightly lower clock speeds, but twice the bandwidth, and a higher texture filling speed.

On the other hand the 460 requires 54 more watts of power, as well as an additional power pin and a 450W recommended PSU.

Hello everyone I need a little help.

I have an HP 6107C 2.5 Ghz dual core that I had installed a GeForce GT220 Graphic's card in last month. Last weekend my wife started the windows 7 install and when we were at the final stage of installing the windows the screen went totally blank so I had to switch back to the card on the motherboard. I cannot even see the graphic's card on the computer.

I did a lot of searches here and found the best solution was to download the software from the website so I un-installed the original software and downloaded the newest software from the Nvidia website but still no luck. Is there some trick to get it to find the hardware? I've spent hours upon hours and still no luck.

Any suggestion would be helpful.

Thanks

if the choice is limted to those two cards I would take the 6600gt, but frankly I would prefer the 256MB version. if you like playing newer games at high resolutions or games with large maps then go for a 256mb card. if you only play games like the sims then either one will do fine.

So you just got the card and you're trying to install it? Maybe there are graphics drivers for your onboard graphics you need to uninstall first, what onboard graphics did you have? Also, you don't need a monster psu to run that card but you need to have at least a decent 300w psu so check that. And plug in the card before you install the new drivers. So far it actually sounds like you don't have enough power but if you can give us any additional info that'd be good.

I just like to know what is better AIT or GeForce?

I was thinking of geting a new video card.. It sounds like so far that Geforce don't have as much problems as ATI.. Well out of the people that I know.

On here it seems (quickly looked at) the same..

My kinds of games are Wow, Guild Wars, NWN, Swat 4 and so on..

For Video that's all I do is gaming.. DVD's I got my T.V so no worries there..

Would like something with at least this specs..

8x, AGP, radeon 9800 or go with pro, GeForce hmmm what ever is the best that they have out right now.. What would that be?

A:ATI or GeForce.

Last I checked the best performance card is out by nVidia, the 7800gtx, but if your on a budget, you'd probably get more performance per dollar with an ATI. I personally prefer the nVidia product as it's driver support is superior, IMO.

Hi. So after getting this OEM graphics card for my new comp, I am beginning to want to get another card for my PC. Hi,
I have a 600watt coolermaster power supply and i wanted to know whats the best video card i could get for my PSU. It has 2 18A rails and i have an Intel E5200 overclocked to 3.1ghz. According to thermaltake calculator, my pc uses a total of 275 watts with my 8800gts, 2 hard drives, two dvd burners, and 3 fans. I used it to calculate the amount of power it would use if i had a GTX 275 and it would be around 305 watts. Here is my PSU http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...39&cm_re=cooler_master-_-17-171-039-_-Product I know it can handle a GTX 260 for sure but what about a GTX 275 or maybe a 4870x2? Or a 3870x2?

Thank You.

A:Geforce GTX 275

If you can wait a while the ATI Directx 11 cards will soon be out, the Radeon HD5850 and 5870, and they promise to perform exceptionally well and use less power then similar cards of the current generation.

You'd be pushing the CoolerMaster by using it with a 4870X2, 650 watts is the minimum called for from ATI, and thats from a quality unit which that CoolerMaster isn't - I've seen them call for only 500 from a manufacturer or two but I wouldn't risk it. The 3870X2 is old tech and calls for 550 watts. The GTX 275 calls for 550 Watt power supply. It may only use about 220 watts by itself but the rest of system will use quite a bit as well plus power supplies aren't very efficient, your CoolerMaster in the perfect unrealistic lab environment is only 70% efficient which will be lower in a real world computer, and you never want to be near the max anyway and 36 amps on two 12 volt rails isn't great either.

A:new geforce 4 mx 440

I suppose the question is is it running at satisfactory performance for the games you are playing.

Overclocking the core memory and memory clock by 5-10% will probably be achievable - but you increase the risk of damaging your card. You also might need to think about a better heatsink/fan arrnagement on it.

I have a problem when connecting the TV-out card (Asus V8420, Geforce4 Ti) with my TV. I know I have the right cables because I am able to see the signals inn black and white, but I want colors.

I've tried to go through the menus a 1000 times, and I think what I'm looking for might be the option where I switch the video output format from S-VHS to composite (or maybe it was the other way around?). Can't find it!
Please help me!
Unyttig

A:TV-out GeForce 4

I think you're trying to plug the cables into the component inputs on the TV. How many ends does the cable have that you are trying to plug into the tv? If it has 5 then you have component video, if it is only 3 then you have composite, and you need to plug the ends into composite input. I know what you mean by it looking black and white because I plugged my Play Station into the component inputs before, and got the same thing you are describing

What is your guy's opinion of a PNY Geforce 3 video card?
I'm going to be running the new card on my old 450 PIII. Just looking for a little better performance at a budget price. The machine is currently running a RIVA TNT-16mb.

Thanks for your comments.

A:GeForce 3?

Welcome to TSG.

What are you going to use it for? Iím not a video card connoisseur but the guys who are will likely want to know what games and what settings you want to use. If you arenít gaming Iím not sure you will see the difference.

I am thinking about buying a GeForce 4 MX 440 64mb DDR AGP video card for an Athlon 1800+, 256 DDR RAM, Windows XP computer.

Is this a good card? I found one at best buy for $129 with a $30 mail in rebate.

What card is better for gaming? The GeForce 3 Ti 200 or the GeForce 4 MX 440?

Please dont go off and suggest all these other kinds of cards, I just want to know whats better between the 2 listed.

Thanks

A:GeForce 3 Ti 2oo or GeForce 4 MX 440?

Better off with the Geforce 3 since it has a better chipset and pipeline instructions. If you're interested in all the pro's and con's about it check out www.anandtech.com and www.tomshardware.com .
As a side note , AFAIK , Geforce 4 MX is no better then the Geforce 2 MX.

A:geforce 430 gt help

There are two possible causes, either the driver installation is just a bit wacky
or the power supply is failing to deliver enough juice to the card under load.

If it's the driver we'll want to completely scrub your nvidia control panel and graphics driver then reinstall fresh.
Do not use the nvidia uninstaller, it misses a ton of stuff.
Instead use this application to do the removal.
Phyxion.net - Driver Sweeper
For best results this should be done in safe mode.
Though you don't HAVE to be in safe mode to use it.
Also download the latest driver from nvidia before you start as once the drivers are removed everything on the screen will be enormous and it'll be hard to navigate until the new driver is installed again.
I suggest saving it to the desktop for ease of acces.
I can't link you to the latest available driver for that card without knowing whether you have 32bit or 64 bit windows.
You neglected to fill that out in your system information.

Hi Could anyone tell me how exactly an integrated geForce compares to a real geForce card I recently built a new PC around a new MSI K N G mobo which is an nForce chipset with integrated GeForce Now I know geForce isn t top of the range anymore but having stepped up from my old machine with Voodoo which was still coping I expected a little more Framerates are less than stellar when using full detail settings in Morrowind the Matrix Mafia and some other games and I can t touch anti-aliasing in most cases if I want smooth graphics So is the integrated geForce a diluted version or do graphics cards really become obsolete so very quickly And if so what should I upgrade to I m looking for GeForce 4 IGP something moderately priced below that performs well and I GeForce 4 IGP don t need any of the bells and whistles of tv out and multiple monitors and anything else like that nbsp GeForce 4 IGP

can anyone recommend for desktop

A:GeForce GTX 480 or GeForce GTX 570?

If the choice is between the GTX 480 and the GTX 570 I'd opt for the GTX570. The cards are very similar in performance but the GTX 570 uses considerably less power.

I'm looking to get a new video card for my Sony Viao and I can't decide between the GeForce 2 MX400 or the GeForce 4 MX440. Both card are very much the same with most of the specs, both are 64MB, the only differances that I have seen (besides the $$) is that the fill rate is greater (800 million vs 1.1 billion) and the Memory Bandwidth (2.7GB/sec vs 6.4 BG/sec)

Are these two increases worth the $70 differance?

Thanks

A:GeForce 2 or 4???

The gforce 3 really improved over the gforce2, the gforce 4 is a further improvement. I would go with the gforce 4.

review coving a large group of gforce cards here, from the 2 to the 4

I would check this review on the 4200 though, if you have the money it's worth buying

More than likely it will work, you can check the link in this faq, although it's rather dated and not that many boards where tested

There are several tools such as Rivatuner or Nvidia system tools to do that
Here is simple tool, Nvidia Inspector : http://download.orbmu2k.de/files/nvidiaInspector.zip

I just installed W10 over W7 and having issues with my video not getting full screen and went to download video from nvidia it downloads but says error so is my GT610 not compat with W10

A:Geforce GT610

I'm using an Asus gt610 with win 10 but I am using win 8 driver. The latest driver kept crashing so I installed 347.88 driver and no problem.

I have blocked windows update from downloading the latest driver.

Hey, I have a Dell Inspiron 8600 that runs a 32 MB GeForce FX Go5200. I want to run a game that takes a 64 MB card. I was wondering if it was possible to allocate some of my system ram to the video card to bring it up to the needed amount. I have 1 gb of ram in my system, so I have some to spare. I don't really actually need that much to do what I do with this system.

A:GeForce FX Go5200

That's only possible using "turbocache", a feature they added to 6000-series and newer GeForce chips.

Hi all I've recently updated my Dad's computer for him from XP to Windows x The compatibility tool mantioned I shouldn't have any issues so I gave it a shot As it turns out I have run into an issue The display cannot use low resolution GTX GeForce no 275 any x XXX and any below resolution settings What it looks like is snow with some major vertical and horizontal sync issues I've never seen this before and I think assume that this behaviour is odd I've searched GeForce 275 GTX no low resolution around on the net for the last few days to no avail I've uninstalled and reinstalled the nvidia driver see jpg There are no device conflicts see jpg The troubleshooting steps I've done so far are ACTION - replaced both video card I put on the drivers for the new card and DVI cable RESULT - I have had no joy as same problem persists ACTION - uninstalled the display adapter driver altogether RESULT - Before the required reboot I could see low resolution ie the mandatory x so this leads me to believe it does work and will again somehow ACTION - loaded into safe mode to see if the x worked in there RESULT - It did ACTION - Loaded windows normally The card was detected by Windows and automatically installed a generic driver I think RESULT - I have had no joy as same problem persists ACTION - Installed the latest NVidia driver RESULT - I have had no joy as same problem persists Given I have replaced the video card and the cable and the fact that I can see low resolutions when no drivers are installed I am assuming that there is a software problem Another thing backing that theory up is all this was working in XP bit Can any of you smart and helpful people offer a solution or at least something or some direction in which I can look for a solution I am stuck Thanks in advance for any help Brad

A:GeForce 275 GTX no low resolution

snow? i would assume that its some sort of artifacting on the cards part maybe... sometimes the newest drivers are a bit dodgy and not perfect so try to find some older versions. also maybe try to reseat the card into a different slot? these are all the tips i can give, sorry lol
also, when no drivers are installed it might be using your built in graphics card on your motherboard for the low resolutions

I have a single 9500gt at the moment and assumed that it would work for some light picture and video editing i was wrong. So the question is do I spent another $65 and sli them or just buy one good one? Any suggestions would be very helpful.. The mother board I have is a xfx 750i..
Thanks
Paul

A:GeForce 9500 Gt sli or not

I would try and sell the one you have and rather go for a better card and if you can afford to go for a card that has DX11 GeForce GTX 460

You may also need to check out your PSU as well. I see you don't have your spec entered in your profile so I cannot tell

Is the GeForce 8800 GT (PCI-E 2.0) compatible with a Dimension C521?I'm not sure what the Diff between PCI-e (x1,x16,x32) and 2.0

Dimension C521:
Only one PCI and one PCI Express (PCIe) x1 slot are open and a PCIe x16 if you remove the current NVidia GeForce 1650 LE.

A:GeForce 8800 GT

Yes a 2.0 will work in a Pci-x 16 slot.

I think we need a bit more info from you first.

What is your motherboard? Does it have integrated graphics? If so, did you wipe out the drivers before installing the new card?
