Q: My Bluetooth disappeared on Aspire E 15, E5-575G-5...

I was using my bluetooth mouse when all of a sudden it quit working. It's not the battery. I went to settings to remove to mouse from bluetooth devices and then "find" it again. But in the middle of removing the mouse from bluetooth settings, all of a sudden my entire bluetooth disappeared. Twice I restarted the computer, looked for bluetooth, and couldn't find it both times. Please send help!

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/directdownload.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

The computer does not recognize anything I plug into the port. My Acer originally came with Windows 8 and now I am running Windows 10.  Did I lose a driver in the transition?  I've tried all the Windows updates and Acer's, but maybe I missed one.  No one else seems to have this problem on this forum.  Any ideas?

Some of the 575G are sold only with SSD, others with both SSD and HDD (more expensive, of course). Is it possible to buy a model without HDD and insert your own?

I recently purchased 2 of these laptops, within the last week, one for myself and one for my girlfriend. I would like to add HDDs to them for extra storage, but they do not come with HDD housings (supports to keep the HDDs in place) although they come with the empty slots. Support directed me to some 3rd party website, which I do not like or appreciate as they should have come with these housings given the option to add the HDD is standard with this model. Does anyone know if there is a part from Acer or am I forced to buy them from this 3rd party after I just purchased the laptops?

Recently, the Acer Aspire E 15 E5-575G-53VG (http://www.amazon.com/Acer-Aspire-NVIDIA-Windows-E5-575G-53VG/dp/B01DT4A2R4) has been available for sale on Amazon. There is to be an i7 variant (with all the same specs besides the Skylake chip) and the product page says it'll be available on May 15th. It's the 24th and I can't find any mention of the i7 variant anywhere. I've looked on the acer product page and I found the i5 model but I didn't find anything for the i7 variant. If anybody knows any news about its release, please shoot a response.

Greetings, I have recently brought an Acer Aspire E 15 E5-575G-53VG from Amazon. I have noticed a fairly high pitch coil whine from the upper part of the trackpad. The whine is especialy noticble when the charger is unpluged or when the trackpad is touched. The coil whine is loudest the laptop is unpluged AND touchpad is touched. I believe that I have the Synaptics touchpad but cannot comfirm, as device manager lists the touch pad as HID-compliant mouse. As for Windows, I have fresh install windows 10 and applied the anniversary update.

May I ask if you have experienced any lag/sluggish mouse movement using touchpad afer Anniversary Update? I've the same model, but touchpad is Elan(https://community.acer.com/t5/E-and-M-Series-Laptops/Windows-10-Anniversary-Update-makes-touchpad-un...).Anyway, coil whine sounds like HW problem to me...

Yes, any 2.5" HDD will fit in, you need to back up to an external hard drive, I would suggest you to download Macrium Reflect Free, install it and create a recovery disk, make a complete image of your current HDD, change the boot order to USB or DVD ( which ever method you used to create a recovery disk) as first boot, remove the current HDD and replace with the new bare HDD, insert the recovery disk and start, connect the external drive and recover the backup to the new drive. I have enclosed links for Macrium tutorial and a link for external drive enclosure.https://www.amazon.co.uk/Upgraded-VicTsing-Serial-Converter-Adapter/dp/B00C3CPK6W/ref=dp_ob_title_cehttp://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/computing-accessories/components-and-upgrades/hard-drive-enclosures/dy...http://www.top-windows-tutorials.com/macrium-reflect-tutorial-3-restoring-a-backup/http://www.macrium.com/help.aspx

So I bought this model a month back and it works fine, great specs. Plus, it happened to be the last piece available, the day I bought it (till date, the stock never got replenished at any of the media outlets here in Berlin). Now I just can't seem to find this model anywhere else in this world. No youtube video, no reviews, no tips and tricks no nothing. It's as though I bought the ONLY one ever. I would really like to know why this model is not to be found anywhere else on the internet. Is there some manufacturing defect on it, that the production stopped?Plus it would also be nice to know if there's a backlight on this keyboard, since another similar model 53VG seems to have it. Thanks

Hello Everyone. I recently bought an Acer's Aspire V3-575G. I used it a few days but now I realised that it has a problem with its WIFI ADAPTER. The problem is that whenever i close the lid of my laptop, the wifi signals drop considerably. Sometimes it just disconnects from the internet completely. I have checked all the power options that may turn off wifi to save battery and turned them off but the problem is still there. Please Help me. Thanks

I am in the same position as you after buying the laptop from Amazon.  After talking with Acer chat, they have told me that there is no backlight on the model, even though the amazon product description includes a backlit keyboard and there are pictures of the laptop with backlit keyboard in the reviews.  I do not know what to do about the laptop.

So i recently updraged from my old acer to this model recently. It runs very nice the only thing is that using the touch pad, the mouse pointer is very laggy. I found the issue was caused by the advanced setting in the bios, and changed it to basic. Is this the only fix for this? Now my two finger scrolling doesnt work, i did notice this laptop is a presicion touchpad so no other driver works. If there is a thread already with a solution please let me know. The ones i read suggested the Elan driver but ive tried installed, but they arent compatible drivers for this device

Bluetooth has disappeared from my computer. I had it installed when I bought the computer, and have uploaded pictures from my cell to the computer many times. Now I cannot find it anywhere.
I have done a system restore, but it made no difference.
When I boot, the computer shows my cell phone in the dropdown, but when I approach it, it disappears.
Should I download Bluetooth software from Dell?
I would appreciate any suggestions.

Hi. I'm a Windows XP SP1 user and I used to have no problem using Bluetooth. I hadn't used it in a while, though, and when I tried to connect my phone to my laptop today, for some reason, I couldn't access My Bluetooth Places. When I tried to explore it, I got the error "path does not exist or is not a directory."

I don't really know what could have happened there. Does anyone know how to recover My Bluetooth Places? I don't think I can explore my bluetooth devices without it, and I'm on the verge of panicking.

I'd really appreciate any help you can give.

Hope this is in the right forum.

OK, this problem has me perplexed. Bluetooth seems to have completely vanished from my computer. I've reinstalled the driver to no effect. The only thing I can think of is that I usually kept the adapter disabled, and that I deleted the HP program which toggled that adapter on and off. Other than that, I've got nothing.

Has my bluetooth adapter gone bad? Has it gotten disconnected inside my laptop? Is there a piece of software I need to install to make my computer recognize it? How much would a new adapter cost? Is there a way to get a new bluetooth adapter for my computer?

Thanks,
AA

A:Bluetooth has Simply Disappeared

It would help if you provided the model of the HP computer.

The fact that you deleted the utility that HP provided to toggle the BlueTooth device on/off seems to me to be the key. I would go to the HP website and see if I could download and reinstall that utility.

It's also possible that the BlueTooth device has failed. If that's the case, you might be able to find a replacement someplace like Ebay by searching for the model number of the device. You also could buy a small USB BlueTooth dongle, I have one on this netbook I'm using now, it works well and was pretty cheap too.

When I first got my HP ENVY, back in 2014, I saw in the settings that their was bluetooth available and I thought that it was a cool feature but at the time I didn't have anything bluetooth to connect to it. I was running Windows 8 at that time but when I updated to Windows 8.1 my bluetooth setting was gone. I didn't think anything of it until recently (still running Windows 8.1 because I didn't like the Windows 10 layout) when the only things I have are bluetooth. Wireless bluetooth headphones, speakers, even my phone only transfers data through bluetooth. I was wondering where my bluetooth has gone. It couldn't have just disappeared because it was there when I got the computer. Would upgrading it to Windows 10 help? Do I need to install a driver that might have not been in the Windows 8.1 update? I would like to enjoy this feature so any help would be appreciated.

I know pre-Update, it was done via Charms>Settings>Change PC Settings>PC and devices>Bluetooth (since I accessed it that way a few times) but I noticed the other day that the Bluetooth option has disappeared, and I cannot see anywhere online a different way to do it after installing the update.
So is it done via a different method, or has it mysteriously disappeared? If so, how do I get it back?

Hello Pinamaraj, and welcome to Vista Forums.

You might see if restarting the computer may allow it to return if it is listed in your startup programs. If not, then check in the installed software for the bluetooth device to see it has an option in the settings to show a icon in the notification area.

Hope this helps,

Hi,
I upgraded to Windows 10 last year in 2015.  Bluetooth was working fine.  About 2 months ago (August/ September 2016) was the last time I transferred files from my mobile phone to desktop and there was not any issue.
Just today, I realized that blue tooth button has disappeared from action center and also from  `Devices` in `All Settings`.  Now I am unable to connect my phone to desktop using Bluetooth.  I have a wireless Logitech keyboard and mouse that are working fine.  Wi-Fi is also working fine.  There are no other issues except the Bluetooth has disappeared altogether.
Thanks.

A:Bluetooth on laptop (HP Envy 15) randomly disappeared

Not much help, but I had to comment. How the heck did they get to install windows 8?

I was using an envy 15 at the time of the release of Windows 8. It just refused to accept an install, stopping halfway with an error . I tried every trick known and, in the end, HP advised that there was no solution and the laptop was incompatible!! I sold the machine finally.

Just curious.

Hi: A couple of suggestions... 1. Update the HP Bluetooth driver to the final version for W7... This package contains the software required to support the HP Integrated Module with Bluetooth Wireless Technology in supported notebook models running a supported operating system. The HP Integrated Module with Bluetooth Wireless Technology provides wireless connectivity to other devices from the integrated module of the supported notebooks. It also provides additional Bluetooth Profiles. ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp47001-47500/sp47022.exe 2. Make sure the bluetooth radio was not turned off by the HP Wireless Assistant.  Below is the latest version of that software. This package contains the HP Wireless Assistant for the supported notebook models and operating systems. The HP Wireless Assistant reports the power state and Microsoft Windows Device Manager status of integrated wireless devices, alerts the user when the status of a device changes, and enables the user to turn integrated wireless devices on and off. ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp49001-49500/sp49408.exe

A:Bluetooth Disappeared from Device Manager After Windows 7 Upgrade

You are not going to like this answer, but it is the best and almost all would agree. You made a mistake when you upgraded, you should do a clean install. This is just the beginning of the problems.

Do it over. Do a clean install. I know you dont want to install programs, again, etc. But it is for the best. That is the only way to fix this and everything else that will happen.

Hi all A few days ago bluetooth devices stopped being recognised on my Windows Samsung NP V A-A UK laptop There have been no windows updates since then and I have tried numerous suggestions I have found online without any success Bluetooth is not showing in Control Panel or Device Manager If I use msconfig it says bluetooth devices on / disappeared Samsung laptop Bluetooth working not is running I have reinstalled drivers I have used the 'Services' option to ensure that the Bluetooth Support Service is running There is no bluetooth icon showing in the 'notification area' and if I click customize Windows Host Process Rundll bluetooth is showing but says 'this notification icon is not currently active' I use bluetooth to connect my hifi to my laptop - normally when I go into the 'Sound Playback' menu it lists my laptop speakers and also lists 'bluetooth headphones' which is my hifi But this does not show any more Further info - looking in Device Manager it lists Bluetooth Auxilliary with Bluetooth Server nested below that and also lists Bluetooth Radio with 'Intel Centrino Wireless Bluetooth and and high speed adapter' and 'Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator' nested below All of these are enabled and when I go to properties say they are working properly Also I thought that it was an Atheros Bluetooth Client that my laptop used - if Bluetooth devices disappeared / not working on Samsung laptop I go to 'add remove programs' then I can see the 'Atheros Client Installation Program' is there After a few days of frustration any advice gratefully received Thanks

A:Bluetooth devices disappeared / not working on Samsung laptop

Tried a System Restore to a prior date before the issue?

I see there are 2 Bluetooth downloads in laptop page, did you install both (if applicable)?

Did you check "Samsung Control Center" - wireless network page?

Everything worked fine until yesterday when I tryed to backup everything from my laptop to dvds because of a scheduled format. Since then the optical drive is not recognized in BIOS nor explorer. The doors open and when I insert a dvd or cd it seems as it is trying to read thru the data. The device is not shown in device manager either. Any ideas?

A:Acer Aspire 5520 DVD-RW disappeared

Remove the optical drive in the device manager and restart the laptop and see if the drive is reinstalled... If this doesn't work, the drive may be worn out

Hi, I am hoping someone here can help me. I have been using my Acer Aspire Z5600's ethernet connection to access the internet, until last night when my power tripped out. When it came back, I could only connect to the internet via the wireless adapter. Looking in device manager, there is no sign of any Ethernet adapter. I've managed to download what I think is the most up to date updater, but running it shows no drivers need to be updated. Has anyone heard of this problem before, and if so how did you reinstate the ethernet adapter, please? Thanks, Clive

A:Acer Aspire Z5600 LAN adapter suddenly disappeared

Device manager, click on View, show hidden devices, click on your network adapters and see if there's any sign of ethernet adapter.

Hi, I was wondering if the Acer Aspire R14 model R5-471T 534x Intel Core CI5-6200U dual-coe has built in BlueTooth 4, and if it supports WiFi AC and what is the physical size of the SDD, is it 2.5" . The reason is that I want to buy this model but only if it supports BlueTooth 4 or 4.1, and it also supports WiFi ac plus a,b.g,n of course and also I want to upgrade the SSD to minimum 500GB instead of the 256GB.

Look forward to hear back from you ASAP.

Thanks,

Sam

A:Bluetooth adaptor for Aspire T3-710

I think you have to post your complete model number. The T3-710-UR56 comes with bluetooth, for example. http://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/model/DT.B1HAA.006 Since you didn't post your complete model number, it's impossible to know if yours was supposed to come with bluetooth.

Sorry, I don't really know where to integrate this question.Basically I've upgraded my old laptop to Windows 10, but I cannot connect any bluetooth device. If I remember well, the bluetooth should also appear in the Device Manager, but there's only the wifi card and the network card there. I've tried to find network card drivers for W10, but they are nowhere to be found.I apreciate any link to a page where I can download W10 drivers for this laptop.Thank you.

What you need to do is to uninstall & delete the original driver (right click on the device in Device Manager and select Properties). Reboot and Windows will try to find the proper driver.

If it didn't come with BT, it means the Wifi card in the laptop doesn't have BT. You would need to change the Wifi card to one that does. Yes, you can use a bluetooth dongle.
