Hello, I can't find Bluetooth on my HP pavilion Pavilion 17-e148ca. I had it on windows 8.1, but after update it's gone. http://support.hp.com/us-en/product/HP-Pavilion-17-e100-Notebook-PC-series/5401229/model/6825874/doc... shows bluetooth in wireless Connectivity. I found no bluetooth in Device Manager.Does HP support 17-e148ca for windows 10, or it is time to renew my laptop?
I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.
I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.
You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/directdownload.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

This computer is great. Everything runs perfectly and makes it easy to adjust to windows 10. The only problem I have is that I have no Bluetooth radio in the computer but there is a Bluetooth function on the software. I need to know if there is a Bluetooth radio for this device to install or if there a software to install to fix this issue.

Hi folks, I've got a Pavilion dv6-3138tx, product number QC331PA#ABG. I can't work out how to enable bluetooth - I'm not sure if there was an update to my machine recently, but there's no longer a bluetooth option in my system tray. I can see the device in BIOS so it's definitley there. I've had bluetooth working on this laptop before, connected to wireless headphones, and I'd like to set it up again. Windows update is all up to date, and I can see an 'unknown device' in device manager but apparently no drivers available... any ideas?
#HPExpertDayThe deice icon might be disabled from system tray but would be available on the device.cick on start and type 'control panel'. Choose control panel and you would see bluetooth icon there. if not then click on 'Devices and Printer' and find the icon there. You can install Network Manager for your device from dervers page:http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/bph07165http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Wireless-and-Networking/Bluetooth-not-available-on-Pavilion-dv6-3138tx/td-p/5627839
I have recently bought brand new hp pavilion dv6 laptop. I haven't use the bluetooth feature till today when I needed to transfer a file from laptop to my mobile. But it didn't work nor is it showing in the 'discoverable' section in my mobile. I have checked everything but to no avail. The laptop does recognise the mobile device but does not connect/pair with it.
Any ideas ?

I Have the ralink bluetooth stack and and an atheros bluetooth driver but I'm not sure how to use them. Also, I sometimes stumble onto a page that has a 'bluetooth switch' but it'snot highlighted and I can't turn it on. Can someone tell me where where that screen is and how I can use Bluetooth with my pc? I can't plug outboard speakers into the jack because it's damaged and doesn't connect because someone accidentally kicked the speaker cable and damaged the the jack. Thanks
Hi: Below is the link to the product specs page for your notebook. It does not come with built in bluetooth networking, or that feature would have been listed along with the 1x1 802.11b/g/n WLAN Wireless Connectivity specification. The easiest thing you can do would be to purchase an external USB bluetooth adapter. You can also try and replace the internal wireless card with one listed in the service manual for your notebook that is also a combination wireless/bluetooth card. The card must be listed in the service manual and it must have the HP part number on it or it won't work. Because your notebook has an AMD processor, you cannot install any Intel wireless cards if any are listed in the manual.http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Wireless-and-Networking/Does-my-HP-Pavilion-g7-2275dx-Notebook-PC-have-bluetooth/td-p/5596858

Help me out please!!!!!!!!!!
Well your DM4 was built for Windows 7, so it depends if HP wrote Bluetooth drivers that will work under Windows 8. A quick check of HP's support site, shows that they have updated software for the DM4 series.

There is a Bluetooth driver under networking.
The only other thing is to check the Device Manager and see if the Bluetooth is even recognized. If it isn't listed (could be listed as a generic unknown device if the driver isn't installed), you may have a hardware problem.
Check all that and install the driver. If it is still not listed in the Device Manager, go buy a $14 Bluetooth 4.0 usb device. Asus has a great one on Amazon. It should work great and will be more up current standards since it is 4.0.

Hello guys, I want to update my computer to have a Bluetooth 4.0 connection, i've tryed some PCI-e boards but It was not compatible...Do you know any PCI-e board wifi and Bluetooth 4.0 that is compatible with Pavilion G6? Thank you
Need exact model and the big question is whether it is in the "whitelist" era. Generally anything with a 4th gen Intel Core or newer is past the whitelist and you can install any wireless or wifi-bluetooth card of the same form factor as long as you have at least 2 antennae which I believe the G6 models do.http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Wireless-and-Networking/Wifi-and-Bluetooth-module-for-Pavilion-G6/td-p/5786320

Hello! Notebook model Pavilion x360 13-a151n k1w98ea#acbI have downgrade to Win7 x64, allmost all device are indetificated in Windows Device manager, except only ACPI\ACPI000E also I can't to connect bluetooth mouse Logitech M557 (it works fine under Win8)I have only Generic bluetooth adapter and MS Bluetooth enumiratorI have tried about 5 different versions of drivers of different manufactures from Intel and Broadcom but none succedd. Please help at least identificate which manufacturer bluetooth I need to install drivers. Thank you for help!
Hi: What model wireless netowork adapter does your notebook have? You install the corresponding model bluetooth driver for the model wireless network adapter your notebook has. I doubt you will get the ACPI\ACPI000E device to install on W7. I have zipped up and attached the driver for it, but most of the time it won't install. You have to manually install it by browsing to the driver folder from the device in the device manager.

I was having the same issues as listed above, also using windows 7. Everything would install but I could not access settings for the blue tooth dongle, What I did to fix this was entered the services settings (windows search - services -) and check everything that says bluetooth. also change all settings to automatic.
Hi!I tried to reinstall the drivers for wireless, but it seems that the device manager recognizes that the notebook has bluetooth (Ralink_RT3290), however, it does not function. Does anyone knows whether the Acer Aspire 5253-BZ661 laptop has a built-in bluetooth device in it? Reading from articles on the internet, I don't see any information regarding this laptop's particular model having a built-in bluetooth device in it but has a bluetooth driver and suite ready for the download at the acer main site.
May be a option on some models.http://www.sevenforums.com/drivers/166828-bluetooth-driver-acer-aspire-5253-bz661-but-no-bluetooth-hardware.html
installed intel ac-3160 dual band + blue tooth in a Sony notebook system wont allow blue tooth to start.
also there is no interface available to connect any hardware to it, i know it has something to do with some Vaio software on the system.
it allows me to use dual band mode and it shows that blue tooth is present but disables it claiming interference with 2.4 GHz band.
now i have had blue tooth dongles installed working while using 2.4 GHz band before with no issues, so i don't get the issue now.
any input would be appreciated.
thankx Karl K
Have you install latest driver for the intel ac-3160 device?http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/618777/installed-intel-ac3160-dual-band-bluetooth-system-wont-allow-bluetooth-to-star/
So i spent the entire day trying to figure out why my Bluetooth installed fine but after one restart it disappeared and it wouldn't come back. I finally figured it out that the FN+F2 (wireless/bluetooth switches) is what enables/disabled it HAHAHAHAHA.
default (after startup): WiFi on / BT off
first time: WiFi on / BT ON yay~!
second time: WiFi off / BT on
third time: WiFi off / BT off
I hope this helps people with their bluetooth issues =)
Windows 8 was able to install all my Function Keys so I'm going to assume this will be the case for others. Good luck

(Bluetooth Crackling issue) i mean how would i connect to things that have no gui together but someone said they have done it ant it works fine but i can for the life of me find out how to do it i have already trying updating the drivers on my computer and i ave the latest but if i cover my bluetooth or even move feet away from it it crackles and disconnects sometimes it was not doing that at first and i only tested it with my pc but yea i tried phones and they are flawless i could go outside of my apartment and i would be connected on all phones but not on my pchttp://www.tenforums.com/drivers-hardware/44539-how-i-escape-bluetooth-hell-bluetooth-crackling-issue.html
One of my friend in India purchased "HCL ME Sync 1.0 (U3) Tablet (WiFi, 3G via Dongle) by HCL" online . It says in many places that it supports Bluetooth but when I saw this I couldn't find any option for the bluetooth and don't know how to turn it on. Is there any one who has purchased it and help me out to turn the bluetooth on or how can we transfer files with some other bluetooth device. Even I couldn't find much good information on internet.
I don't see it listed in the spec sheet, nor the user guide.
On both of my android 4.2 devices, Bluetooth is listed after Wi-fi in Settings. I would think it's the same w/ android 4.1. It's possible the tablet doesn't have bluetooth.
I recently installed the latest version of the Toshiba Bluetooth Stack (v9.10.32T) for one of my desired applications to properly function. However, connecting my Bluetooth headphones through Toshiba's bluetooth manager does not seem to support the media buttons on the headset. These include Play/Pause and seek buttons. Before the Bluetooth stack, when I used my default bluetooth driver for connection, these controls had worked fine.
Also, there does not seem to be a specific setting to fix this in the Toshiba Bluetooth Stack Options.
How would I go about getting these controls back?
Okay so I don t really know if a solution is out there but here is the situation I m in I only have one discovered bluetooth devices Logitech Bluetooth receiver by not available USB port left which I am currently using for the Logitech Bluetooth dongle that came with my Logitech K solar keyboard I would also like to attach my Samsung wep headset for Bluetooth devices not discovered by Logitech bluetooth receiver Skype calls I have tried to discover the headset with and without Logitechs software installed with no luck I then checked device manager which does not show the dongle as a Bluetooth receiver device My assumption from that is that Logitech has it setup Bluetooth devices not discovered by Logitech bluetooth receiver to only receive from their own devices Since I have no room for another dongle and a hub isn t really ideal Is there some way to force the dongle to detect normal Bluetooth devices I ve searched for a custom driver or other work around with no luck so far This is on a computer running Windows bit nbsp

I just set up win 8 on my computer and was going thru the process of connecting my bluetooth mouse and my bluetooth keyboard. My mouse connected automatically, no problems. When I went to connect my keyboard I got the usual prompt asking you to enter the code, but the code was not accepted no matter how many times I tried. In windows 10 mobile, I can go into my bluetooth devices, and 'disconnect' a specific device. In Windows 10, I can only 'remove' the device (which I don't want to do) or turn off BlueTooth altogether.
Does anybody know a way to just disconnect a device? For instance, I want to have my headphones connect to my phone instead of the PC.
'Remove device' is probably not the best choice of words they could have used on this! When you close the process (i.e. 'disconnect' your headphones) on your PC, you are performing the same function as what you describe on your phone. You are not actually removing the device, just closing the process. I hope that makes sense!http://forums.windowscentral.com/windows-10/432936-how-disconnect-bluetooth-device-without-turning-off-bluetooth.html
Hello I have an issue with my Medialink USB Bluetooth Adapter Bluetooth LIT Adapter's USB Is Bluetooth OFF? Light IS When Blue - Version Class Smart Ready Adapter Model No MUA-BA Let me explain Okay I have setup my Medialink USB Bluetooth Adapter with the drivers for my Windows operating system USB Bluetooth Adapter's Blue Light IS LIT When Bluetooth Is OFF? Now when I plug this USB Bluetooth adapter into my USB port connector on my desktop computer it automatically lights up with a blue light on the Medialink USB Bluetooth Adapter itself and on my Windows system tray notification area I get the Bluetooth icon displayed as ON Then I go ahead and pair the computer and my device s example a Smartphone to connect which they do successfully When I am done using the Bluetooth technology I disconnect the Bluetooth connection from each device and then instead of leaving your USB Bluetooth adapter ON with my Windows operating system I go into my Windows system tray notification area and select Turn Adapter OFF I then get the red Bluetooth icon in my Windows system tray notification area demonstrating that my Bluetooth is indeed OFF and the Bluetooth blue light on the Medialink USB Bluetooth Adapter goes OFF or is not lit any longer Okay so far so good everything is normal However when I shutdown my Windows operating system and then restart the computer at some later point I notice that the Medialink USB Bluetooth Adapter still shows on my Windows system tray notification area as OFF okay normal BUT THE BLUE LIGHT ON THE MEDIA LINK USB BLUETOOTH ADAPTER IS NOW ON The only way I can turn off the blue light on the USB Bluetooth adapter is to manually go through the Windows system tray notification area turn ON the Bluetooth technology and then promptly turn back OFF the Bluetooth technology in order for the Medialink USB Bluetooth Adapter s blue light to go OFF again I find this to be a real pain and chore each time to have to go through these manual steps to turn OFF that Medialink USB Bluetooth Adapter s blue light when the Medialink USB Bluetooth Adapter s blue light SHOULD BE OFF TO BEGIN WITH I would assume after the system re- start and leaving the Medialink USB Bluetooth Adapter plugged into the USB port connector on my desktop computer if the Bluetooth technology is indeed OFF as set with the Windows operating system settings then the Medialink USB Bluetooth Adapter s blue light should be OFF as well BUT IT IS NOT I have no intention of consistently plugging in and out the Medialink USB Bluetooth Adapter when I plan on using it or not but instead leaving the Medialink USB Bluetooth Adapter always plugged into the my USB port connector on my desktop computer at all times and using the Windows system tray notification area s Bluetooth icon to turn ON and OFF the Bluetooth technology when needed I have contacted Medialink Mediabridge and they have informed me the rationale for this issue quot The only reason the light would be lit is if the bus power from that USB port was running I they looked for ways to manage the bus power settings of the USB host but was unable to find anywhere in the Control Panel that would allow you to adjust that particular setting quot Makes perfect sense to me that the bus power for the USB port is ALWAYS RUNNING and the computer starts the USB ports are powered and therefore the Medialink USB Bluetooth Adapter is always lit at system start until I turn off the Medialink USB Bluetooth Adapter via Window 's system tray notification area Specifically the Medialink USB Bluetooth Adapter is connected to one of the USB ports on the front of my desktop computer The front desktop USB port connects to one of the USB pin connectors on my ASUS P Q motherboard Further I have an OLDER ASUS P Q motherboard that does NOT support Bluetooth as part of its BIOS settings -- PRE-Bluetooth capability Therefore I installed the software on my Windows Professional -bit and drivers that came with my Medialink USB Bluetooth Adapt... Hi, can you give a 20 word or less problem summary please, I got lost in those wordy details.
I am no BT expert or anything, but all I read was complaining about a light being on, which a piece of black electrical tape fixes around my house, regularly *cough* fire alarms.
If the maker of the device doesn't have a solve to your issue... that is usually the end of the road with a cliff.
I bought a bluetooth dongle which for some reason isn't working in Windows 7. It shows up in Devices and Printers as "CSR Bluetooth Chip" and when I right click on it and select bluetooth settings, nothing happens. It shows up under Bluetooth Radios in device manager. As a test I tried using it in a Windows 10 VM. When connecting the USB dongle via VirtualBox it was referred to as "Uknnown device 0A12:0001 " and it worked just fine in the VM. Any clue as to what is wrong?
Just wondering what are some fun bluetooth sites that others enjoy. Please post em!
i thought bluetooth was a wireless tie in from a cell phone/pda to a wireless internet connection.
I have a Dell Latitude E6410 laptop running W7 64 bit Pro, 8 Gig Memory. Would goning to a Bluetooth keyboard and a Bluetooth mouse create problems, or should I just stay with the wired connections? The keyboard and the mouse as of this time would be my only bluetooth devices. It does have the internal Bluetooth.
Thanks in Advance
no it shouldn't ...do you just want lack of cords?? if you have a set in mind post a link to it and we might be able to advise whether its good purchase or not
I am having a bluetooth adapter installed on my PC. Now I wanted to connect my Samsung HM1100 headset with it. It paired and everything but during installation of driver it says "NO DRIVER FOUND". I have tried too many times and I have also installed a bluetooth driver "SILICON WAVE BLUETOOTH DRIVER".
Actually its a dongle I'm having. So it didn't require any drivers but it won't connect to my bluetooth headset.
Help will be appreciated.
Do you still need assistance with this issue?http://www.sevenforums.com/drivers/318376-my-bluetooth-adapter-wont-connect-my-bluetooth-headset.html

Hi Sri, Welcome to 8 forums.
On windows type "msconfig" in search field at the start menu and open MSconfig. Go to the Services Tab and search for services related to Bluetooth. If any of them are unchecked they will not load on Windows start so make sure you have checked them.
Keep us posted.

Probably Windows 10 replaced the original Bluetooth driver with Microsoft driver which doesn't work well, if at all. Go to manufacturer's site and download the Bluetooth driver. If there is no Windows 10 driver, use that of 8.1 This should fix your connectivity problems.http://www.tenforums.com/drivers-hardware/25371-bluetooth-does-not-recognize-pair-see-bluetooth-hardware.html

You need to give the exact model number for your ASUS.
But have you checked the ASUS website for the bt driver for your model.
Bluetooth icon is there bt when it is clicked, it is just keep searching and dont find any near by device. I updated driver as well as check with many driver availbale for the harware but issue is not getting resolved. I got a Microsoft 3600 Bluetooth mouse and I can get it to pair with my M7510 laptop when I boot to Windows 7 (I have a dual boot for Win7 and Win10 setup), but in Windows 10, it can detect the mouse, but when I click "Pair" it just disappears.
Does anyone know how to get the MS 3600 mouse to work with Windows 10?
I don't know if this has anything to do with my problem, but I noticed that in Device Manager, there is an "Unknown" device.
The description says "Microsoft Bluetooth LE Enumerator" and the Device ID is:
But it says that "No drivers are installed for this device".
Anyone know where to get the driver for that device for a Dell M7510 and Windows 10?

Actually i have a multi faceted problem First of all i have a program called pocket d that is designed for gps surveying it runs on a little handheld with windows ce on it The company also has a windows version of the program I recently purchased a couple tablet pcs to have a bigger working screen and to also have more computing power internet access etc The problem is I bluetooth to the gps receivers from my handheld and to do this i simply set the comport of the bluetooth during setup and all my gps receivers use the same com port not at the same time of course however in the tablet windows requires an HELP in 7 windows Bluetooth authentication code Bluetooth in windows 7 HELP for the bluetooth to work and on top of that it assigns each gps receiver its own com port I found out how to give the gps receivers an authentication code and then windows will pair with them but for my other employees that use the handheld units entering this code every time can be cumbersome and sometimes requires troubleshooting to get the onscreen keyboard to come up properly If it was me I could work my way through it but for someone who just knows how to push a couple buttons and arent very familiar with the system it becomes difficult and long story short it renders the receivers useless to the handheld devices My question is Is there any way to bypass the need for authentication codes in windows and also to make multiple devices use the same com port When using the windows ce version every time i go to connect to gps receiver I get a popup asking me which bluetooth device i want to connect to then presto it connects all through the same com port but in I have to assign each gps receiver its own port and any time i want to connect to a different one I have to go setup my equipment file to use the other com port A HUGE PAIN Ive tried installing tablet xp on one of the tablets to no avail same problem I dont know if its related to my bluetooth hardware or what the CE handheld just has a little bluetooth Compact flash card my next resort was to try and run CE as a VM on my tablet and see if that works but im having all kinds of trouble trying to do that as well sorry for the long post with multiple issues im the resident computer gps guy and usually im the guy that can just make stuff work not happening this time thank you thank you thank you to anyone who can shed some light on thishttp://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/358693/bluetooth-in-windows-7-help/
I upgrade Vista to Windows 7 on my HP laptop DV4 1199ee. My bluetooth is not working and It seems that there is no bluetooth driver for windows 7.
I can't be certain, but you might try installing the Wireless driver. When configuring custom laptops I've noticed that the choice of Bluetooth is included in your choice of Wireless Networking so it's possible the driver is, too.
Or, contact HP & ask them?
FWIW I just ordered a new HP laptop with Windows 7, configuring it with Bluetooth. It'd be pretty stupid of HP to sell this configuration if they didn't have a Bluetooth driver for Windows 7. Of course this laptop might have different Bluetooth hardware than yours....besides, I've seen HP do plenty of stupid things in the past so this might just be one more. I'll find out when the laptop arrives next week.

I have upgraded to Windows 10 and since then my bluetooth on my G50-30 laptop has been a problem. Finally got it to work a bit but in terms of a receiving a file you have to click you wish to receive a file before another device even starts to send a file, it also won't let several files be sent to it at once, has to be done one at a time so rather time consuming! This was never an issue before windows 10 Any ideas???https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Lenovo-B-and-G-Series-Notebooks/G50-30-Bluetooth-Windows-10/td-p/3367596
My pc is running windows xp home edition.I have downloaded all ( virtually) of windows updates,in process of which the bluetooth icon has disappeared from control panel. What can I do to restore Bluetooth and transfer info from my Nokia mobile 6230. I have looked on Microsoft help and come up totally confused, can anyone help.
Start by reinstalling your computer's bluetooth drivers and software. As for getting the phone to talk to the computer, you'll probably have to consult the bluetooth connection instructions for both the computer and the phone.
I have 2 pc's with clean installations of Windows XP SP3. When I plug in my bluetooth usb dongle into one of the pc's it works fine. The device is detected and the bluetooth icon apears in the control panel and also on the taskbar. The other pc detects the device and it shows ok in device manager, however the bluetooth icon does not show in the control panel or on the taskbar. I can get the device to work ok by installing bluetooth software from the net, however I would prefer not to do so. I should mention that plugging the device into an installation of Vista also works fine on both of the pc's.
Anyone got any suggestions?
Bluetooth was working perfectly on my previous Windows 7. After upgrading to Windows 10 I lost Bluetooth, it's not visible on settings! There is an App visible on control panel but it's not working!

Hello Tehkaztorer, welcome!
1st question is if you're 100% sure BT is enabled in your BIOS under the advanced menu:
Allows you to enable or disable the internal Bluetooth
• Disabled: The internal Bluetooth device is off and is
not visible to the operating system.
• Enabled: The internal Bluetooth device is enabled.
If you are... has that Dell techie proven to you that BT is working?
The following quote seems to state that windows does recognise your card?
on "control panel/hardware and sounds/printers and disp"
theres the "dell wireless 370 bluetooth mini card"
properties on this icon says everything is functional...
Have you tried downloading Dells latest drivers for that card?
I just bought a Bluetooth Dongle from ebay, i plugged it in and immediatly Windows started installing the drivers for it on it own. It says it's all working properly but for some reason i can't get my LG KF600 Cell Phone to Pair with it. The computer doesn't recognize it, and my phone doesn't recognize my computer.
Anyone know anything about this?
go to settings, connectivity, USB connection, and then select data service . when you did this, connect you phone and PC together via USB cable ! when you connect it, you WILL NOT see any notification from you phone regarding the connection. BUT you phone is connected ! open you software and click on connection. there should not be any problem there !http://www.sevenforums.com/hardware-devices/56998-bluetooth-windows-7-a.html
hi is there any way i can make my pc reconise my usb blootooth stick without the need 2 install service pack 2?
After a clean install of Windows 10 on my machine, Bluetooth not even shown as an unrecognized device. Also, there's no drivers for Windows 10 on support page. i wonder if it will be a bluetooth driver on windows 10 Any ideas? Maybe someone has success on bring this to life? (Sorry for my English)
Hi Vectorex Go to Acer support for your region, then select the "Drivers & Manuals" option. Now enter your laptop details. Where it states: "Need to know the hardware......" part, click on it to download the Hardware Vendor Detection tool. This will tell you the make of your Bluetooth wireless. Now, google the make, adding the word "support" to find their site. Check on there to see if there is an updated or Windows 10 driver available. Hope this helpshttp://community.acer.com/t5/Aspire-Desktops/No-Bluetooth-on-E1-531-under-Windows-10/td-p/404333/jump-to/first-unread-message
I installed a blue tooth adapter to my hp laptop and was using my blue tooth with it to talk on skype and after I rebooted my laptop it still shows that the bluetooth is there but it doese not work anymore.
I have uninstalled the bluetooth and re-installed it but now it doese not ask me for the key code to pair the two. how do I get it to ask for that code again.
Thank you in advance for your help.
O.K., I used bluetooth when I first got my HP DV7, so I know it works, but I haven't used it in a few weeks. I have done some tweaks and stuff, and now when I wanted to use bluetooth again I can't get the stack to open up, I tried HP wireless assistant where I used to be able to turn WiFi or Bluetooth on and off and now it only shows the wifi. Anybody know WTF is going on.
Have you tried updating your network adapter drivers?http://www.sevenforums.com/hardware-devices/66004-bluetooth-windows-7-a.html

Hi there @Mahmoud5000?, Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome! This is a great site to get answers and ask questions. I have looked into the issue you are having with Bluetooth and came across some documents that may help you resolve the Bluetooth issue. You also mentioned that it had worked in Windows 7 but not in 8.1 or 10. Have you tried to go into the Windows PC and Devices and tried to turn Bluetooth on in there? The first document I found is called Using Bluetooth Devices. This document may be helpful because it walks you through connecting devices. I took a look at the driver's page for your Notebook and seen that the last Bluetooth Driver available is on the Windows 7 Operating System. On Windows 8 and Windows 10, it did not mention Bluetooth connections. You want to look into previous versions details also. The second document I found is called Understanding and troubleshooting Bluetooth wireless technology. This document has other helpful information about drivers, making sure everything is bluetooth enabled, fixing bluetooth problems, etc. Here is a link to the HP Support Assistant if you need it. Just download and run the application and it will help with the software and drivers on your system that need updating. Here is a link from Microsoft called Connect to Bluetooth Devices. Please follow the provided troubleshooting steps and re-post with any new information or details. Have a great day!http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Wireless-and-Networking/Windows-10-amp-Bluetooth/td-p/5189796
Hi guys! I have a blackberry 7100, and I want to connect it with my computer using bluetooth technology. The I can use blackberry deskptop software to transfer stuff. But I was wondering that how do I know if my windows and computer come with builtin bluetooth support, because blackberry recommends to use the windows builtin bluetooth software. And if I do have it then how can I enable it.?
dell optiplex GX1
windows xp pro sp3
intel p3 processor
Edit: And is there a 3rd party software that I could use if my computer doesnt have builtin bluetooth support.
Thanks again. ?
You would need the bluetooth driver for your model of computerUnfortunately, your computer is rather old and there is no driver on Dell's website for that modelIn fact they don't even have XP drivers for that modelhttp://support.dell.com/support/downloads/...tid=&impid=I also notice that you are rather limited in your memoryI found this article that is worth reading:http://banagale.com/setting-up-bluetooth-s.../comment-page-2http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/242549/bluetooth-for-windows-xp/
I bought a laptop recently. Wanted to transfer stuff from old pc to laptop. Bought bluetooth 2.0 for old pc, atek. as soon as i inserted it into the USB drive, win 7 automatically discovered and installed driver. But, the bluetooth is not working. It doesn't discover my laptop even though I have made it discoverable. Plus, the bluetooth settings won't open. What should I do now? Please help.
Hi and welcome to TSF did you try this Set up a Bluetooth enabled devicehttp://www.techsupportforum.com/forums/f217/using-bluetooth-on-windows-7-a-616287.html
So not much deal is made of Bluetooth these days Its seems more as a legacy connection here in Windows land than anything while the Apple boys get Continuity Obviously mimicking Continuity isnt easy here in either First Windows Modern UI runs rough shot over Bluetooth giving you nothing more than a on off switch for headphones headset or on Windows 4.0 Bluetooth / 8.1 10 the like Second the software and to a lesser extent hardware seems all over the place The software drivers aren't to bad But finding an usable Setup Suite or anything but the on off switch that Windows gives you is Bluetooth 4.0 on Windows 10 / 8.1 harder Mainly it seems you have two Bluetooth camps Broadcom and Realtek there's also Intel but i think it uses Realtek's hardware There are of course third party Bluetooth USB dongles in which can give you a easier or harder time depending on the hardware The best of this imho has to be io gears gbu with Broadcom setup The Broadcom setup just installs your not kicked back to the OEM s to fish through service packs Basically the goal is Bluetooth Device Control Windows Broadcom Bluetooth Basically the only way to Bluetooth Device Control is through Device and Printers Every other way will take you to the Modern UI Windows with IO Gear's Bluetooth usb Broadcom Setup Here's a link to IO Broadcom Suite http iogear custhelp com app answers detail a id Here's a better How To over here link here link I have bad luck with Broadcom's own setup usually sends me back to the OEM Broadcom https www broadcom com support gid Btw i do have an Intel card so ill add that later The much hyped intel dual band ac w bluetoothhttp://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/587787/bluetooth-40-on-windows-10-81/
I am having difficulty to get my laptop paired with a Bluetooth enabled cell phone. If I attempt to connect from the cell phone to my pc, a key code is asked for and needs be entered.
My question is how I can get this key code which needs be entered on the Bluetooth Device. On the laptop I navigated from Control Panel and to Bluetooth Devices, then clicked Add Wireless Device, but no device is detected even though the Bluetooth on the cell phone was turned on. Device Manager indicates drivers for the Bluetooth device are installed correctly.
hi, my laptop had Windows 8.1 Pre installed to i installed Windows 8.1 Pro on it .. before upgrading, naturally all is working well, i backed up my Drivers using an Open Source Software i downloaded from SourceForge
after upgrading, i installed all drivers, all is working well except for my Bluetooth Radio .. though in the Device Manager, it is not showing any error as it says "The device is working properly" .. yet even when my Laptop's Bluetooth is in Discoverable Mode, none of my Phone, Tablet nor other Laptops can detect this Laptop .. Vice Versa, my laptop doesnt discover any devices too, not even my Bluetooth Mouse .. though my Phone was discovering my Mouse ..
i tried updating my drivers, but there was no luck ..
i tried reinstalling my drivers, there was also no luck ..
i tried resetting multiple times, still no luck ..
im running out of luck, please i hope someone knows anything about it
never mind. fixed ithttp://www.eightforums.com/drivers-hardware/56356-bluetooth-not-showing-any-bluetooth-devices.html
I recently purchased these 2 items. Hoping for a headset for my phone and my pc.
Newegg.com - Kinivo BTH220 Black Bluetooth Stereo Headphone – Supports Wireless Music Streaming and Hands-Free Ca
Newegg.com - Mini Bluetooth USB 2.0 Micro Adapter Dongle
It worked perfect with my Andriod, but the Dongle does not seem to want connect with the headset. It seems the Dongle was not made to work with Windows 7 64bit. The bluetooth dongle will recognize the headset when I try to sync them, but will not actually let them connect for any audio. Here's a pic of the error.
I've tried reconnecting it multiple times. Been searching online for the past few hours for drivers and programs to get it to work, but no such luck. Any help will be appreciated.
