Pavilion dm1 XL303AV Windows 7 Home Premium What is the Bluetooth key? Where can I find it?
I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.
I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.
You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/directdownload.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Hi folks, I've got a Pavilion dv6-3138tx, product number QC331PA#ABG. I can't work out how to enable bluetooth - I'm not sure if there was an update to my machine recently, but there's no longer a bluetooth option in my system tray. I can see the device in BIOS so it's definitley there. I've had bluetooth working on this laptop before, connected to wireless headphones, and I'd like to set it up again. Windows update is all up to date, and I can see an 'unknown device' in device manager but apparently no drivers available... any ideas?
#HPExpertDayThe deice icon might be disabled from system tray but would be available on the device.cick on start and type 'control panel'. Choose control panel and you would see bluetooth icon there. if not then click on 'Devices and Printer' and find the icon there. You can install Network Manager for your device from dervers page:http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/bph07165http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Wireless-and-Networking/Bluetooth-not-available-on-Pavilion-dv6-3138tx/td-p/5627839
I have recently bought brand new hp pavilion dv6 laptop. I haven't use the bluetooth feature till today when I needed to transfer a file from laptop to my mobile. But it didn't work nor is it showing in the 'discoverable' section in my mobile. I have checked everything but to no avail. The laptop does recognise the mobile device but does not connect/pair with it.
Any ideas ?
This computer is great. Everything runs perfectly and makes it easy to adjust to windows 10. The only problem I have is that I have no Bluetooth radio in the computer but there is a Bluetooth function on the software. I need to know if there is a Bluetooth radio for this device to install or if there a software to install to fix this issue.

Help me out please!!!!!!!!!!
Well your DM4 was built for Windows 7, so it depends if HP wrote Bluetooth drivers that will work under Windows 8. A quick check of HP's support site, shows that they have updated software for the DM4 series.
Software & driver downloads HP Pavilion dm4-3055dx Entertainment Notebook PC | HP? Support
There is a Bluetooth driver under networking.
The only other thing is to check the Device Manager and see if the Bluetooth is even recognized. If it isn't listed (could be listed as a generic unknown device if the driver isn't installed), you may have a hardware problem.
Check all that and install the driver. If it is still not listed in the Device Manager, go buy a $14 Bluetooth 4.0 usb device. Asus has a great one on Amazon. It should work great and will be more up current standards since it is 4.0.
Hello guys, I want to update my computer to have a Bluetooth 4.0 connection, i've tryed some PCI-e boards but It was not compatible...Do you know any PCI-e board wifi and Bluetooth 4.0 that is compatible with Pavilion G6? Thank you
Need exact model and the big question is whether it is in the "whitelist" era. Generally anything with a 4th gen Intel Core or newer is past the whitelist and you can install any wireless or wifi-bluetooth card of the same form factor as long as you have at least 2 antennae which I believe the G6 models do.http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Wireless-and-Networking/Wifi-and-Bluetooth-module-for-Pavilion-G6/td-p/5786320
I'm trying to use a bluetooth speaker with my HP Pavilion g7-2275dx Notebook PC but I'm not sure if I have the ablility to to do that? I Have the ralink bluetooth stack and and an atheros bluetooth driver but I'm not sure how to use them. Also, I sometimes stumble onto a page that has a 'bluetooth switch' but it'snot highlighted and I can't turn it on. Can someone tell me where where that screen is and how I can use Bluetooth with my pc? I can't plug outboard speakers into the jack because it's damaged and doesn't connect because someone accidentally kicked the speaker cable and damaged the the jack. Thanks
Hi: Below is the link to the product specs page for your notebook. It does not come with built in bluetooth networking, or that feature would have been listed along with the 1x1 802.11b/g/n WLAN Wireless Connectivity specification. The easiest thing you can do would be to purchase an external USB bluetooth adapter. You can also try and replace the internal wireless card with one listed in the service manual for your notebook that is also a combination wireless/bluetooth card. The card must be listed in the service manual and it must have the HP part number on it or it won't work. Because your notebook has an AMD processor, you cannot install any Intel wireless cards if any are listed in the manual.http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Wireless-and-Networking/Does-my-HP-Pavilion-g7-2275dx-Notebook-PC-have-bluetooth/td-p/5596858

Hi: What model wireless network adapter does your notebook have? Most likely the bluetooth radio on the wireless adapter is not compatible with W10, but let me know the model, and I will see if there is a W10 driver that may work. Hi: What model wireless netowork adapter does your notebook have? You install the corresponding model bluetooth driver for the model wireless network adapter your notebook has. I doubt you will get the ACPI\ACPI000E device to install on W7. I have zipped up and attached the driver for it, but most of the time it won't install. You have to manually install it by browsing to the driver folder from the device in the device manager.

Everything would install but I could not access settings for the blue tooth dongle, What I did to fix this was entered the services settings (windows search - services -) and check everything that says bluetooth. also change all settings to automatic.

Well as i think you can see i have a lenovo thinkpad e430, but, i cannot find the bluetooth device. This is odd because i have installed the latest bluetooth driver for windows eight x64 from lenovo's official support page yet, although i have restarted the computer and though .net framework is installed (if im correct, is there anyway i can check) i cannot find any place to turn on bluetooth.
Thanks in advance
btw, device manager doesnt have any category named "bluetooth" but there is something with an exclamation mark which im suspected it could be the bluetooth device. Heres an image of it (Red box shows the device which has exclamation mark)http://www.eightforums.com/drivers-hardware/22374-cannot-find-bluetooth.html

you will have to go to the laptops manufacturers website, search for your specific model and see if they have the win8 drivers you need.http://www.techsupportforum.com/forums/f320/could-not-find-bluetooth-in-windows-8-a-704639.html

Hi there So quick background - I have an Asus laptop series K S that one day decided not to turn on or charge Long story short went for the cheap repair and got the initial problem fixed but at the expense of some new ones One of which I just discovered today which makes me wonder what else there is Today I wanted to connect to our bluetooth speaker with my laptop Now before my original problem I never had any issues doing this I know it has bluetooth capability however I can no longer find it in the start menu search I had a look in the system information and searched for bluetooth and sure enough the system file is there It seems the laptop can t locate it or something I m concerned that the adapter may be damaged Is there a way I can test this can't bluetooth find Laptop it's own I ve already downloaded and run the intel bluetooth file from the asus website for my laptop model however it doesn t seem to have done anything I seriously think I should ve just kept that money from the initial repair and put it towards a new laptop - as much as I love this one it seems to have a few issues now Any help is greatly Laptop can't find it's own bluetooth appreciated Thanks nbsp
I have a HP Pavilion dv2000 running on Vista. I want to connect it with my Nokia E71 via Bluetooth. But for the life of me I can't figure out how to do it. I've gone into Control Panel -> Bluetooth Devices and clicked Add Wireless Device. But it shows up nothing. (I've already turned Bluetooth on on my phone.)
In the first place, how do I find out if I have a built-in Bluetooth adapter?
Thanks for the help.
Can anyone help me please?http://www.techsupportforum.com/forums/f217/cant-find-bluetooth-device-434560.html
Hey guys, so I bought a Lenovo desktop (Y900-34ISZ Desktop (ideacentre) - Type 90DD) a few weeks back and bluetooth and wifi were supposed to be included, altho I can't find them. I've tried downloading every possible drivers, updates, watching multiple solution tutorials etc. It seems like my PC doesn't support bluetooth/wifi after all. I can't find the bluetooth under the devices section, it won't appear. Altho, it does appear on the commando center from time to time (no function whatsoever), just to dissapear again. Same thing goes for wifi - it's not there. I've basically given up on trying to fix it so I'd appreciate all the help i can get.https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Lenovo-E-H-K-M-Q-Y-and-ErazerX/Can-t-find-bluetooth-wifi/td-p/3470818
I'm really sorry if i'm going to sound stupid but I'm really bad at this
I can't seem to find the bluetooth button anywhere.
It won't appear on the quick sidebar menu or anywhere in the in the PC settings.
I've tried to search the computer but it's not there.
I can access the devices added to the laptop through the control panel but whenever I search to add a device it won't find it.(If that helps??!)
any help would be much appreciated!
Does your PC even support bluetooth? Not all computer's support bluetooth.http://www.eightforums.com/network-sharing/68728-inability-find-bluetooth.html
Hey guys, I can't find the Bluetooth option in PC Settings (more probems with Win8.1, I'm still not quite legendary with it )
Below is a screenshot of my PC Settings/PC and Devices
Other forums said bluetooth was there, but it's not. Help is appreciated
Do you have your Bluetooth drivers installed?
In addition, check at PC settings -> Network -> Airplane mode to see if you have a Bluetooth option under Wireless devices.
Hope this helps for now,
I have an Acer 5720 Vista 32 bit : because of BLue screen death, had to reinstall operating system , now the unit can not find the drivers for bluetooth . I attempted to use a dongle, which allows the laptop to find my devise ( Headphone ) , but the headphones Speaker/earpiece do not work , when trying to call using Voip /Skye etc the error message is bluetooth devise is ? malfunctioning . It seems that VISTA has many /many bugs, and this Bluetooth issue is one : I have removed the driver in devise manager , and reinstalled Acer supplied drivers , but can not find them / I have installed 3rd party Bluesoiel : and have same problems ? Anyone know how to fix this ?
Vista BlueTooth Driver
I just got this computer a few days ago and it seems to function allright with the exception that it can't find any of my Bluetooth headsets. It could pair with my Windows 10 phone so there is SOME functionality intact but it can't even find any of the headsets I've tried. I've tried downloading new drivers but nothing has worked so far. I know the headsets work because I have tried pairing them with other devices and have had no issue, but my computer can't find them at all when I search for Bluetooth devices. If I need to uninstal and re-install drivers in a specific order or anything I'd really appreciate some help on what steps to take, I'm pretty desperate for any kind of help right now. This is what the settings look like now:http://community.acer.com/t5/E-and-M-Series-Laptops/E5-552G-can-t-find-Bluetooth-headset/td-p/438609/jump-to/first-unread-message
Hi there, first time post so be gentle with me..
I have an issue that is making me tear my hair out. I have an XPS M1530 with a dell 355 bluetooth module in it, an dI have recently installed Windows 7 RC1. When I did, the drivers automagically installed for my bluetooth module, and didn't throw any complaints. The problem is that it says it is working fine, but it never finds any device when I search for them, it just can't see anything.
I have tried installing the latest drivers from windows update, the Dell website, a patch from the website and the latest drivers from the broadcomm website, and it still behaves in exactaly the same mannor with all of these. The module worked fine before the win 7 install, and I am at a total loss as to where to go next. Can anyone help?
Go into Computer Management\Services and start Bluetooth Service. Set it to start automatically, reboot and you should be good to go. I spent hours yesterday with three clean installs before I figured it out. I have a Kensington dongle, the drivers were installed but I couldn't get it to work with my Treo 755p until I started the Service.http://www.sevenforums.com/hardware-devices/9475-bluetooth-module-cant-find-devices.html

What I did:
Plugged in USB adapter
Turned on headset
set to paring mode(red and blue led alternate flash)
started searching for bluetooth device with windows
started driver search
the main reason i want this to work is so i can listen to music while working with out wires and disturbing people.

I've read many online articles on how to find and do the settings for Bluetooth on Windows 7 Professional but the steps they say to take are not available for this computer. For instance -- Control Panel> Hardware and Sounds -- I have no Hardware and Sounds in the Control Panel.
I want to make sure if Bluetooth is turned on, where to get into the settings -- plus find out if it is automatic or do I need a dongle?
Hi all, My laptop is Lavie Z360. It has built-in bluetooth. It can pair with my iphone successfully. I have an Acer Aspire V3, running Windows 7 SP1 x64, with internal bluetooth.
I tried with the standard Generic Bluetooth Adapter and also with the Atheros_184.108.40.206 Bluetooth Adapter which comes with the driver-package of my laptop.
I checked that the Bluetooth Service is started and running.
However, my bluetooth is unable to detect any devices, even though I have a bluetooth mouse and bluetooth phone lying next to the laptop, both enabled and detectable.
Clicking on the bluetooth-tray and then 'Add a Device' just brings up a screen saying 'Searching for devices...'.
When I turn on the detectability of my laptop, I can find it on my phone. However, I cannot pair to it, the laptop just doesn't respond. I still cannot find any devices on my laptop.http://www.sevenforums.com/hardware-devices/302889-bluetooth-doesnt-find-devices.html

Windows doesn't need the device driver installed for it to DETECT a plug and play device. If the device isn't being detected it meansDisabled in BIOS
It's turned off or disconnected
The device hardware has failed
You've already checked 1) and 2). Which probably means 3) device failure
See the instructions HERE to view "non-present" devices. (The Fixit may not work for you but the manual instructions are the same). After it's done and you view hidden devices, does your bluetooth show up with semi-transparent icon?
If yes, means BT was detected and drivers installed once upon a time, but Windows doesn't detect a BT device now
/* EDIT */
And if not there when non-present set and you view hidden devices means eitherNo such device was ever detected (so no driver installed either), or
Device no longer detected and you've un-installed its device driver
Note you see non-present when a device is no longer detected BUT it's driver is still installed
I have never used 'Bluetooth' before.
I want to transfer a file between my laptop and Android tablet.
I turned Bluetooth 'on' (which I have installed the latest driver) on my W8.1 laptop.
I turned Bluetooth 'on' on my Android 4.1.1 tablet.
I had my laptop search for 'Bluetooth' devices, but my tablet is never found.
Is there something I am doing wrong?
Most times the laptop Blue Tooth is only for Keyboard and mouse. Not for connecting to devices. Just connect via USB cord.http://www.eightforums.com/network-sharing/46109-unable-find-bluetooth-device.html

Hello and welcome to Techspot.
Try changing the ide cable, it might just help.
If that doesn`t work than maybe you`re looking at a bad ide controller/bad mobo.

Hi I would consider As an adminstrator, in a Command Prompt Window, typegetmacThis will list MAC addresses for those items that are present, and may not be connected.A good number would be 3,1 x Ethernet1 x Wi-Fi1 x Bluetoothand then typeipconfigand in the long list look for named devices have a matching MAC address.Along with Device manager this is a way to determine the number of devices. Device Manager has a VIEW: Show hidden devices, and it may be in there.

Last week I updated the drivers for the Bluetooth card... now, it just gets stuck at this screen when I try to pair my mouse, headphones, phone etc:
I can pair the devices quite easily with each other, and with my desktop. I guess the driver update broke something on the laptop?!
Things I have tried:Completely deleted and reinstalled Killer drivers
Rolled back to previous drivers
Uninstalled adapter and let default MS drivers install
Removed all paired devices from the Devices/Printers list
Set Bluetooth Support service to automatic etc.
I'm at a loss, and pretty annoyed as I rely on Bluetooth a lot (I guess "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" applies here!).
Any help appreciated.
The simplest thing i can think of at this point to try is if you have the resource disk for your system board if this is a custom built system; reinstall the drivers for the bluetooth hardware that came with your system. Doing that may solve the issue. It is possible the update that was put out for whatever reason was not meant for your system which could be why it is not working after updating even if it shows it should be. Ive discovered that some updates arent meant for certain systems even if they show that they are because either they wont install; or they will install but will cause a issue after being installed. So i would try reinstalling the original bluetooth drivers and see what happens.http://www.sevenforums.com/hardware-devices/364171-windows-wont-find-any-bluetooth-devices-after-driver-update.html
I have this problem with my new Asus A S - K SD laptop The intergrated bluetooth doesn't seem to work When i try to add a bluetooth device under devices and printers in control panel it just keeps saying quot Searching for on not Can't Intergrated find working any bluetooth laptop. devices. devices Make sure your device is discoverable quot I found out Intergrated bluetooth not working on laptop. Can't find any devices. that it didn't work because i just bought a new microsoft notebook Bluetooth mouse and when i try to install connect it to my computer windows just can't find the device I know it's not my new mouse that isn't working because i have tried connecting other bluetooth devices aswell but windows still can't find anything I have both a Intel Bluetooth driver and an Atheros bluetooth driver V installed Both downloaded from the Asus support website I have tried reinstalling both programs a lot of times and i have runned a lot of different driver update programs to check if i was using the latest versions or missing any drivers I have spent a lot of time browsing the web to find a solution to my problem but none of the suggested solutions have worked Here's how it looks
If it's a Microsoft mouse; drivers shouldn't be a problem. I would remove all mouse drivers. Then reboot and Windows 7 should pickup the needed drivers. Then do a Windows 7 Up Date and it will let you know if their is a update for the driver.http://www.sevenforums.com/hardware-devices/253540-intergrated-bluetooth-not-working-laptop-cant-find-any-devices.html

I have a Kinamax Class 1 USB dongle, which i purchased from Tiger Direct
I'm trying to connect it to my motorola bluetooth enabled V551 phone, with service from cingular. I've connected this phone to an apple laptop and been able to transfer my audio, video, and pic files. The device came with IVT Bluesoleil software. I tried connecting my phone to the computer with the Find Me feature on the phone while searching for devices in the program, but it will not find my phone. I upgraded the software from the site, but still no results. Can anyone give me some advice here?
do i need a new program or something?
Hi everyone,I just upgraded my mothers HP Pavilion a1310y to Windows 7 Pro. It is working fine except for what I believe to be the drivers. The audio is not working, and the screen does the thing where everything is bigger and looks like it needs an update. On the HP website and in HP support assistant, I can not find these drivers specifically for my windows version. Is there an external source?
Hi: The graphics adapter your PC has cannot run all of the features of W7. I can give you a driver that will allow you to change the screen resolution, and have graphics acceleration but you won't have windows aero because the onboard Intel graphics can't run it. Download and run this driver. You will get an unsupported operating system error. Close out of any error windows. ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp34501-35000/sp34749.exe Go to the device manager and there will either be a device labeled video controller with a ! mark under an Other Devices category, or if you do not see such a device, click to expand the Display Adapters device category and there you will see a Standard VGA Adapter. Click on either of those you see. Click on the driver tab. Click on Update Driver. Select the Browse my computer for driver software option, and browse to the driver folder that was created when you ran the graphics driver file. That folder will be located in C:\SWSetup\sp34749. Make sure the Include Subfolders box is checked and the driver should install. Then restart the PC and the graphics should be working like it was on XP. Download and install the 1st driver on the list. http://www.realtek.com.tw/DOWNLOADS/downloadsView.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=24&PFid=24&Level=4&Conn=3&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false#High Definition Audio Codecshttp://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Desktop-Video-Display-and-Touch/Can-t-find-drivers-for-Pavilion-a1310y-on-Win-7/td-p/5604994
I'm looking for the m.2 port. I can't seem to find it using the manual
This Manual? Manual Clear as mud, ain't it? Look at page 50 for the SSD cable insertion point. Also notice that the SSD section makes reference to something called an SSD board and cable (p. 34). But also look at p. 30 and 33 you can faintly see to the left of the hard drive what looks like the insertion for a 2280 M.2 mSSD and it shows one plugged in with a hard drive. It was offered with a dual hard drive and M.2 configuration. So I would say it plugs in next to the hard drive or you need a board and cable to put the M.2 in the laptop in place of the hard drive. Those are the only possibilities I can think of.http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Hardware-and-Upgrade-Questions/can-t-find-m-2-port-in-HP-Pavilion-15-au023cl/td-p/5728478

I really need some help. I have had this problem a couple times, and each time I had to restart my entire computer and reinstall everything before I could connect again. The computer has no problem connecting with a cable, but it says it can't find Wi-Fi. I would really love to avoid restarting and restoring the computer for a fifth time if I could. I don't know the specifics of the computer, I think it might be a 14z Touch...
