sir hi actually i bought my lappi last year in the month of may 25th and since i was in last year of my collage i did not bother to extend becouse of money issue. can i extend the warranty of the lapptop now ??pls help and if yes then what all the procedure i need to follow. ? w/w aayan akash.

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

Hi All, I have bought my new laptop HP Envy AE101NX yesterday (25-May-2016). However, when I open HP support center application and recovery applications, where we see the warranty period information it is showing incorrect information. The store supervisor informed me that it is in 2 years warranty period. The information being showin in these apps is 6 Months and that too Start Date : XX/08/2015End Date :    XX/02/2016. This Feb-2016 is already passed. I could not understand how come the warranty is already expired, even though it is for 6 months for some reasons. Can anyone please advise on how to get this fixed? ThanksVamshi

I bougth the laptop about 6 months ago and now suddenly the screen died. When i contacted customer support a guy came to my house and examined the laptop. He then told that while the rest of my laptop is still under warranty the warranty of the screen has expired. How the hell is this possible that the rest of my laptop is covered in the warranty but the screen warranty expired?

Hi: The same thing happened to me. You will have to call HP to have the warranty date adjusted.  If you live in the USA/Canada, Call this number and explain the situation.   1 800-474-6836  The customer services rep will send you a link to upload a copy of your invoice or sales receipt showing the purchase date. Once they get that, they will adjust the warranty start and end dates accordingly. I seem to recall they adjusted mine within 3 days of getting the receipt info I scanned to them.

I wanted to renew my warranty when it expired in August, however every time I've tried it hasn't let me or it has told me that my product does not exist. Hi friends, I am trying to extend my warranty on my X1 which expires next month. Unfortunately within the Lenovo support website I no longer see an option to extend my warranty, which at an earlier point this year was still available. A year ago this month, June 2015, I PURCHASED a  M3800. I emphasize "purchase" as the laptop wasn't shipped until July 20th.    I have had recurring problems with start up from the get go - Sometimes it would start up, sometimes not.  Often times, removing any USB attachments and/or holding down the power button for 10 seconds resolved it.  While it was on, it worked like a champ. LOVED IT!  By Dec 2015 it died. Contacted Dell support, shipped the M3800 back and within 10 days, received my M3800 with a replacement motherboard.  Well, it's now June 21st, 11 days past my warranty  and guess what? DEAD ... Well, not entirely, the power button LED lights up momentarily when I press it.   I've tried multiple solutions, including removing the battery to eliminate static electricity, and still nothing. Any ideas would be seriously appreciated. Thanks heaps!

Extend Dell warranty or no? ve read of others experiences has been scary and sounds like often one is lucky if they even get appropriate help with a warranty still in place Strangely I think with this model the only type of warranty available original or extended is next business day at-home service with phone support too of course I don t need that much convenience but I have no choice So a one-year extension would be two-year Don t think I d be interested in the three-year for at this time even though I do intend to still have this PC then and beyond Ok so of course I d rather not pay this but it won t take food off my table or anything So should I go for it Thanks so much if I can get some opinions before the end of the biz day It s about AM CST here now nbsp

On my end, I tried using the model as some may not be marketed on some regions using the international warranty look up page.  Listed location would include UK and you can call in Lenovo UK 0333-777-3991 for details .

I bought this laptop on ebay new for my than Warranty and less laptop out only i the ran a year. had mother and had kept it in my closet for a few months I gave it to her as a gift and a few months later i was watching her use it and noticed she was repeatedly shutting down the laptop and turning it back on i asked why She said the internet wouldnt work unless she did that multiple times So i had a look at it and made sure all of the drivers were installed they were and counldnt find out why it was doing it other than a hardware issue possibly So i asked her where Warranty ran out and i only had the laptop less than a year. the warranty was tried to see if i could get hp to take it back but the warranty said it has expired She didnt use this thing for a year i kept it in my closet for months is there some way hp takes in certain cases and looks past the warranty date nbsp I cant really afford to buy her another nor can she and she is stuck with this nbsp thing The laptop is still in very good condition we just need the internet to work on it Is there anything that can be done

Hello I just bought a refurbished laptop from staples and i'm wondering, do I have a one year warranty. It says it in the page but the staples manager told me to get a 1 year warranty from them because I don't have a warranty. Power port HP - Honoring Warranty Not Spectre Laptop where the power cord attaches broke A simple and definitely 'hardware' problem Laptop still under warranty until September It couldn't be recharged HP Not Honoring Warranty - Spectre Laptop but I used it as the battery drained - took latest backups and used it for some functions before boxing it up and sending it in Fully functioning with no issues when it went in the box they sent nbsp Support calls me to say there is liquid damage to motherboard Umm no there isn't At least there wasn't when I sent it in I got on a call with a Case Manager 'James' who said they could repair mother board for a bit over I said there was nothing wrong with motherboard unless they caused the damage A little while later he emailed with an offer of less than his original quote Didn't research the state it was delivered in just looking to get cash nbsp nbsp Next day I got a call that warranty was invalidated contradicting what James had said and the email from him nbsp HP can't get the story straight and is dancing around honoring the warranty Already been without laptop over a week and they have offered no resolution I've sent a number of emails in response to his and nothing back nbsp

Where do I send the laptop if it is not working? My husband had the computer in Ecuador for a few months and said it had never worked properly and had been showing signs of a faulty drive. Hi,

I just got a new intel Ultrabook off a tiny foreign co on Amazon; and I'm just using it for browsing the internet mostly, but the browsers keep crashing particularly when downloading (small) files like pictures.

I'm worried that the processor may have been tampered with or it's been infected/in a botnet. Can I do anything to check these things?

Also- if not any recommendations on cheap repair shops in London etc?

I'm planning on buying a notebook. Being a computer tech, i'd like to open it up and take a look inside.... And in the future if there is any upgrade/maintanence to perform, i'd like to do it myself.
 
Will this void the warranty?
 
And if i say i didn't open it, is there any way dell will find out that i opened it?
 
Hopefully some Techie here has already done it and knows the answer......... :).

Hello everyone This is my first time posting on these boards and I was hoping someone might be able to give me some tips for troubleshooting an issue that popped up yesterday with my Alienware laptop It is days past it s extended -year warranty and Alienware would only refer me to other services to have it looked at such as a diagnosis for I have been building my own systems for years and years and I m hoping someone out there days Troubleshooting Alienware off (20 3-year Laptop warranty) :( might have some insight into ways i can troubleshoot my laptop so I can hopefully repair it myself and avoid the overpriced quot diagnosis quot fees Here are my specs Aurora m Processor AMD Turion Mobile ML GHz MHz FSB MB L Cache Operating System Office software not included Genuine Windows XP Professional Chassis amp quot WideUXGA x LCD with Clearview Technology - Conspiracy Blue Memory GB Dual Channel DDR SO-DIMM at MHz - x MB System Drive Single Drive Configuration - GB Serial ATA Gb s RPM w NCQ amp amp MB Cache Optical Drive x Dual Layer CD-RW DVD RW w Nero Software Video Graphics Troubleshooting Alienware Laptop (20 days off 3-year warranty) :( Card Dual MB NVidia GeForce Go GS - SLI Enabled Wireless Network Card Internal b g WiFi Card Warranty -Year AlienCare Toll-Free Phone Support w Onsite Service AlienRespawn AlienRespawn v Recovery Kit amp Windows XP Edition What happens is thus When I try to boot up the computer I can hear the fans HDD CD go on but there is nothing on the screen I tried plugging in other monitors to make sure that the onboard monitor hadn t randomly died or that the connection s were loose but I received no video on the additional monitor either When I usually load up the quot power quot button usually glows blue now it blinks orange off and on I don t hear any audio that would signify windows started but since I have a password on my windows log in it might be that it s simply not loading past this point I tried putting in my password to a blank screen and hitting enter but nothing happened My guess is it is either one of my video cards my motherboard or very possibly a HDD issue I m really doubting this last one Does anyone have any idea how I can troubleshoot my issue to help to nail-down what is going on Thank you so so very much for the help -K nbsp

Hello, I bought another refurbished HP laptop from Colorado Computer Outlet back on May 17th and am having a problem with one of the memory modules but when I checked on the HP site, it shows that the warranty started on March 17th and has already expired. I should have until August 17th or thereabouts. What should I do to get this fixed? Thanks,John

I have bought this HP laptop on 6/2/2016 and started using this on the same day. At the time of purchase I was informed the product comes with 1 year warranty from the manufacturer. But today when I checked the warrnaty information I found that the warranty start date shows 2/15/2016 and expire on 3/21/2017. Help please. HP Support Assistant changed overnight and now shows Warranty Expired and date Dec 2015 when I bought the PC. Expiry date should be 3 December 2016.Have sent HP Warranty Dispute form and evidence of purchase (twice). No response. Have used Assistant Agent twice and was very pleased with excellent service. Because warranty is out of date, according to HP, contact with them is limited and try as I can I have been unable to get a phone call through to customer service (its always busy!). I have even contacted HP  Head Office who gave me the same phone number and a complaints e- mail address which turned out to be in South America! Message on HP Support Assistant  received today asks me to continue  warranty by paying for 2 year cover. Have paid for this today and hope this will sort situation. Meanwhile who can I e mail at HP in the UK to resolve this?

How can I update my graphis card without voiding my warranty

System is a dell studio xps 435mt/ os 7 premium/ I7 CPU/ 8 gigs of ram/ ati video card just replaced 3 months ago/ hitachi deskstar 500g hd/power supply delta 360w.

Had no error messages. Was running fine, it had a few glitches but nothing serious. I attempted to power up the system but nothing , it has power the green light is on for the power supply.. I get one amber light when i press the power button on front panel, and one flicker of the red light on the video card.

This system is only 2 years old. The warranty expired on it's second birthday, which was the day after the warranty ran out.

how do i get the warranty for my geforce graphic card because the fan and heatsink is broken when i bought it and i cant do anything and i lost the bill and it keeps overheating now the computer turns off after 10 seconds now how do i get it?

contact who you purchased it from and see what they can do. they should have records of the transaction. if you purchased it with a charge card you could contact them also for any record of the purchase.

lastly contact the manufacturer and see what they can do. some things go back there anyway i think

I have just bought a HP larpto and the speakers are faulty. I know this because when I plug in earphones the sound is good but with just speakers it is no good. how do i report this to HP ?? I have tried to link a warranty on my passport account but it says I have no entitlement. This is making me crazy, I have only just bought the machine and the warranty is entitled

I bought a refurbished Latitude E about two months ago and the system gave warranty? me a warning days ago saying the battery is reaching its life cycle and It need to replace a new battery After I tried to call and online chat with different dell departments for hours including chat with one very rude custom service person I was finally told that they get a lot warranty? of similar complains it is normal and I can not expect the battery better than that Should the furbished laptop not be similar to the new one introduction of this laptop on shop said the battery should last to hours when I made the purchase my laptop is less than half of it This is not warranty? the first time there are issues with my dell laptops but the warranty is just ridiculous for a laptop bought months ago This is the first refurbished computer that I ever bought and I hope this is the last laptop I bought from dell

If the battery is original to the system, it's between 4 and 5 years old - and likely well past its design life.  A "refurbished" system of that model is not the same as a "refurbished" new system - was it purchased direct from Dell, or elsewhere?
