I recently added a SIM 2 (and second phone number) to a Microsoft Lumia 950. The service on the SIM 2 slot is terrible. I will have 4 bars on SIM 1 and no service on SIM 2. I've switched my cards around and still have the same problem with the SIM 2 slot.
Is there a setting that needs to be updated to use the SIM 2 slot? Any suggestions on how to fix?
I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.
I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.
You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/directdownload.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)
kinda wondering what's going on with the poor reception the last few days . had a number of friends saying they're having problems with wireless reception . my network barely reaches to the door now. before it was out on the other side of the road.
are there sunspots acting up or could there be something else.
also used to have 11 neighboring ssid's. have 2 now.
Just bought this laptop last Christmas and I've been having no wifi problems until now. I was always getting full bars. The laptop came with Windows 10 64bit. I've been having problems with Windows 10 Start button so I reinstalled Windows 10. Now my wireless registers 1 bar when I set the laptop next to the router, 1 foot away. Just tomake sure I set up my iphone as a wireless hotspot, same thing, 1 bar (incidently, even though it is registering 1 bar it will not connect to wifi). I've gone to HP's support site and reinstalled the wifi drivers, no change. I wiped the hard drive and installed Windows 7, no change. I suspect it's the driver. The device manager shows it as "Broadcom 802.11n Network Adapter". Incidently, my old HP laptop is still working in the original room with full bars) Any ideas?http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Wireless-and-Networking/Poor-WIFI-reception/td-p/5667655
Hello people with superior knowledge!
I have recently bought an HP pavilion g6 notebook running windows 7 and I am experiencing very poor wi-fi reception. The signal always appears to be weak and the connection often drops suddenly. This happens on my home network (even 7 feet away from the router,) it happens on my work network and also when I try to share the connection with my iPhone. This does not seem normal to me, as those connections seem fine to everyone else... I got a more powerful router for my home networking and the problem remains. What can I do?
Thanks in advance!
Hey guys. I have an HP m6-k015dx and it has an intel centrino 2230 wifi card in it. I also have an old, netgear wna 1100 usb wireless adapter. The wireless usb adapter I have gets extremely better wifi connection that the internal adapter and the signal strength on the networks won't fluctuate. Are there any settings I can change on the intel adapter, or can I buy a new internal adapter to replace the intel to get better reception? Thanks.
Does anybody have suggestions for a good wireless card? The 2230 is really ticking me off because it doesn't have 5ghz support and reception is abysmal.http://www.eightforums.com/network-sharing/31315-wireless-card-poor-reception-dropping-connection.html
I just installed a TV tuner, but I can only pick up a single digital provider, that's 6 digital services (specificly BBC on frequency 546 MHz), and with analog I get all 4 channels but with very poor reciption. I have tried to connect my television using the same coaxel cable and same connection point in my house and my television has excelent analog picture and picks up 20 digital channels (I'm not sure how many providers that is spread over or what frequencies they are) so I conclude it's a problem with the card.
Any help or suggestions appreciated.

A friend has a Hewlitt Packard Pavillion 6553 computer. He bought a Logitech Quick Cam Express. He has a cable connection also.
I have the same camera and my image comes across to him clear but most of the time his image is very distorted. It just washes away and you can't see any features. Any body have any suggestions?
I was wondering if wrapping aluminum foil around my desktops antennas would improve the reception for it. I have a small window in my room that I have good reception so I would like to improve the chance that I get in that narrow window in my room.
Why would you ask something like that when it would take to 10 seconds to try it?
I doubt it will help and may well make things worse. If you have an antenna connection, get a bigger antenna.

Has anyone managed to improve their Huwaei E1752 reception with a home made Aerial setup?
I ask because even though there is a company who provide a sock and external aerial setup, they are too far away and expensive

My WMC had been displaying normal TV reception until about two days ago. Now the picture and audio is very "jerky" as though it's coming in packets that are hesitating to be decoded. My reception on other TVs connected to the same system is normal.
Actually I've found the program to be a little quirky. It always opens in full screen and for some reason the cursor will not display on the blue screen. All I can do is hunt around until I highlight a button blindly. The remote starts it, but it seems I need to activate it twice to get it to finally tune to a station. Even if I close the screen in not full screen mode, it will always reopen in full screen.
My Windows 8 does not get WIFI for my PC. Is there an software available to receive wifi? Thankshttp://www.eightforums.com/network-sharing/74312-how-could-i-add-wifi-reception.html
I'm new here and new to dtv as well.
Yesterday I bought a hdd dvd recorder and a set top box. I have it all installed and working but I can only get the auto tuner to find channel 10 and 7. This set up is in my bedroom and doesn't have the best analogue reception. I only have an indoor antenna for this setup.
Can anyone advise what is the best way to go and preferably the cheapest...
I have heard of options such as having another cable run off of the roof antenna, using an amplifier or getting a better indoor antenna.
Any ideas and advice would be appreciated.
Sorry if I am wrong here. Please redirect me in that case. Thanks.

I am receving a low signal a less that two meters of router, with normal 15-17 MB download. I received the perfect equal amount until a week ago. My son's and daughter's notepads continue receiveing normal, equal than desk direct PC. I have updated LAN driver; disconnect and take off battery pusshing power button for demagnetize notebook. No results. I would very much appreciate some help. Rest of netbook functioning is perfect OK. Kind regards.
I am having an issue with my wireless connection. I can connect, but I can't get a higher percentage. In fact outside of the room, I don't even come close to 100%. I am using a Vonage router that is black. Any help would be appreciated. I have an older router that didn't work with the new cable modem that I was given it is a black something from Comcast. If I reinstall the router will that make it work? Thanks
The color of the units conveys no useful information for solving the issues. Your problem sounds like wireless interference.
Please supply the following info, exact make and models of the equipment please.
Name of your ISP (Internet Service Provider).
Make and exact model of the broadband modem.
Make and exact model and hardware version of the router (if a separate unit).
Model numbers can usually be obtained from the label on the device.
Connection type, wired or wireless.
If wireless, encryption used, (none, WEP, WPA, or WPA2)
Version and patch level of Windows on all affected machines, i.e. XP-Home (or XP-Pro), SP1-SP2, Vista, etc.
The Internet Browser in use, IE, Firefox, Opera, etc.
Please give an exact description of your problem symptoms, including the exact text of any error messages.
If you're using a wireless connection, have you tried a direct connection with a cable to see if that changes the symptoms?
For wireless issues, have you disabled all encryption on the router to see if you can connect that way?
Have you connected directly to the broadband modem to see if this is a router or modem/ISP issue?
If there are other computers on the same network, are they experiencing the same issue, or do they function normally?
On any affected computer, I'd also like to see this:
Hold the Windows key and press R, then type CMD (COMMAND for W98/WME) to open a command prompt:
Type the following commands:
Right click in the command window and choose Select All, then hit Enter.
Paste the results in a message here.
If you are on a machine with no network connection, use a floppy, USB disk, or a CD-RW disk to transfer a text file with the information to allow pasting it here.
I have a tv set up as a monitor in my reception room I want to have clients names scrolling with a welcome message. This information will need to be linked somehow to my calendar so that they automatically change as the day progresses. Is there a software or app that can provide this type of connection?
it should be fairly easy to write a script which would pull this information, but i have not heard of one. but that is not my area of expertise, so it may be out there already if you search hard enough.
I have a radeon 9000 with a rca TV out. It works, but I am getting incredibly bad reception. It is not the t.v's fault as all other rca devices recive crystal clear, and it is not the cables fault as I have replaced it. All that being true, what IS it then??
(the bad reception involves diagonal lines running across the screen)
My post is loenly and my problem unsolved.. at least i can do something about the lonely post...
Netgear tech support told me that I may improve the wifi in the other room by lowering the MTU from 1500 to 1400. Does this sound right?
You can check whether packets are being lost or fragmented with the current MTU. Our own Everlong made an excellent tut on this.

Greetings Everyone, I have a question please if any one of you could help me then kindly give your input? I have a domain setup and voip setup, i want to configure a panic button at my reception, If in the case of emergency receptionist feels to tell everyone that there is an emergency situation at reception. Everyone has laptop and desktop and voip landline in there respective offices. Kindly suggest me best option to go for panic button so when it comes receptionist could hit that shortcut key to keyboard and it could alert to all the machines in the network.
Are you looking to send something through your VOIP setup? If so, what hardware/software are you using? Does this need to be silent? I assume a big loud bell wouldn't work? Would it need to contact the police? Your best bet would be to contact your security company and see what they offer. In a emergency situation, it's not a good idea to depend on a DIY solution.http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/619120/how-to-set-a-panic-button-at-reception/

Hi @gcinsetn, Thank you for posting at HP Forums! I have read your post and wanted to help. I understand that you have two identical HP Envy TouchSmart Sleekbooks, but one can connect to the wireless network while the other cannot at the same distance. Have you tried to run the Windows Network and Internet Troubleshooter? Does it give any error message? (The step 2 on link http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c04649175) Also, make sure the below option is disabled:Disable the Power Off option for the adapter:1. Open Device Manager. (Win Key+R > type devmgmt.msc > OK)2. Expand the Network adapters.3. Right click on the Ethernet/Wireless Adapter and click Properties.4. Click the Power Management tab.5. Remove the check mark beside Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.6. Click OK. Even with the router in the same room, we don't get full reception with the computer. Other PC's doesn't have the same problem. We've got 3 R830-13D computers, having trouble with the WLAN reception in our house.
We've installed the newest driver to the Atheros device, and the confree software.
Is this a known problem, that reception on this computer is bad, or have we done something wrong?
>... or have we done something wrong?
And what have you done exactly?
Do you use original preinstalled OS (factory settings)?
Have you noticed the same issue with AC power supply and battery power supply?
I just recently noticed a red cross over my reception bars...Running Windows 7......Recently addend avg anti virus.....dont think that is the probolem...Any ideas on how to get rid of the red cross?

My signal strength is very low. I was wondering what are some tips and tricks to getting a bettere signal? I am picking up on wifi hotspots in my area. I can only get on one but the signal is real weak.
you can try adding a USB extension cable then moving it around until you get a better signal. Since the antenna is inside of that thing, no "modding" can be done. If that doesn't work, you will have to buy another network adapter.
This one has pulled in excellent signals from my router in the other end of the house when my 2 other adpaters would only get a low or medium signal. check it out here http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16833124126
BTW, i hope you are attempting to use public hotspots and not leach off of somebody's home network!
I'm wondering if it's possible to enhance the wireless reception on my laptop? Several places where I connect to the internet it is sometimes difficult to get a signal. I have an Acer Aspire 3050. I have seen antennas that connect to the USB port but I want to know if those are really meant mainly for giving wireless capability to laptops or computers that dont have wireless, or if they are also effective in boosting the range of computers that already have wireless. thank you
i recently dropped my T-Mobile MyTouch and now the reception is terrible. the bars would be zero (the phone reads "No Service") for 15-20 minutes at a time and then back to 3 or 4 bars for a few minutes. but then back to "No Service". it's like this throughout the say. and my friends have told me that when they call, it rings 3 times and goes to voicemail. but my phone never gets the call. it doesnt ring and does not register the calls.
is the problem the antenna? from when i dropped the phone? and is there a way to fix it?
I am receiving internet service by wi fi from a restricted community source When I start out the day I receive a strong unbroken signal from the antenna to which I connect Then later on in the day there is a complete break in signal that occurs repeatedly and intermittently to the point where I lose connectivity to the internet and cannot receive confirmation of my IP address from the signal source Accessing the same antenna with my laptop placed right beside my desktop computer continues to give an unbroken signal I am using Network Stumbler as a means of monitoring the signal performance and the display of signal strength over time is very obviously showing differences in reception Because the laptop and desktop are showing signal reception network of Intermittent differences in reception my guess is there must be something my desktop computer is doing in the background that is taking up major time slices but I have no idea what it is or how to correct it I am operating Windows XP Home SP with AMD mhz processor and RealTek RTL wireless adapter nbsp
Ever since I took advantage of the free upgrade from Win7 to Win10 (about 4 weeks ago) we have had problems RECEIVING e-mail into MS Outlook (2016 version). We can see our new e-mails by going to web mail - but it takes hours (sometimes days) for them to reach our Outlook.
Is it true that MS simply hasn't engineered a fix for this - and that we have to wait for them to do that? Does anyone know how long that will be?

Hi and welcome to TSG.
It's probably the charger that's causing the interference, try putting as much distance as possible between the charger and the radio.
Also something metallic between them, like a metal tray, might help. You may have to experiment to find the best position for it.
If the above doesn't help you can try running the laptop on battery when you want to listen to the radio, or another charger.
EDIT : it's worrying that it tripped a circuit breaker, I think you should invest in a new charger, preferably from a different maker.
Hi and thanks for your time.
I have the laptop mentioned above and the router I have access to is a DLink DIR 600 M.
The two are literally a couple of metres apart (approx. 3 metres) and yet I am able to only receive a very weak signal, just 5 grey bars of the WiFi icon at times and no signal dominantly. Getting right next to the router gives me 4 white bars at best.
I have another Lenovo laptop and it gets a good 4 white bars at a larger distance. So I guess the router isn't faulty.
Your wireless cards antennas may have come loose. You can check by opening up the laptop and looking at the card.
They should look like this:
If either is disconnected, just press it down onto the circular connector, it doesn't take much force so don't crush it, you could bend the little "flaps" on the coaxial cable end.

Hawking Tech has a number of products that will help you increase your wireless range. The root page is Hawking Hi-Gain™ WiFi Range Extending Products.
Some of the more interesting products are this Hawking [HSB2] Hi-Gain WiFi Signal Booster, which can be used on either end of a wireless connection to boost the signal power.
Another way to increase your signal strength is by the use of hi-gain antennas. You can choose from omni-directional or directional models, here are a some examples.
Hawking [HAI7SIP] Hi-Gain 7dBi Omni-Directional Antenna
Hawking [HAI15SC] Hi-Gain 15dBi Corner Antenna
[HAO14SD] Outdoor Hi-Gain 14dBi Directional Antenna Kit
For 802.11n applications, this ZyXEL ANT1106 6db omni-directional antenna can be used.
For really long range outdoor applications, this 24dB parabolic WiFi Antenna may be a good choice.
If you have a wireless adapter that doesn't have provisions for an external antenna, one adapter that I've had good luck with is a Rosewill RNX-G1 USB Wireless Adapter. It's feature is that is has a removable antenna and will accommodate replacement antennas.
This is just a sample of available products, many people have hi-gain antennas with similar specifications, but I haven't seen any other suppliers of signal boosters.

Just an idea - lots of TVs will play Videos or Display images from a USB stick
if you make the powerpoint into a JPG and then put onto usb - then plug that into the TV
That maybe a solution for you
But check how the TV handles displaying the images - in case its a slide show and does not work how you want
Do you have the TV now ?
Hi everybody I have a very poor WiFi reception at my present location and bit a Increasing card's sensitivity WLAN reception the in order for Windows XP to stay connected to the WLAN I have to use my laptop in awkward positions I already set the WLAN card s parameters available from Hardware Management that I thought might increase its reception sensitivity Power Management Roaming Aggressiveness Throughput Enhancement Transmit Power to their maximum performance value but even so the difference between staying connected and getting disconnected is so small that if I move the laptop literally Increasing the WLAN card's reception sensitivity a bit a few centimetres from its quot preferred quot spot the connection is lost I would therefore need a small extra boost in my network card s sensitivity - does anyone know how I might achieve this Many thanks in advance for any replies I should add that I cannot in any way influence the positioning or any other settings relating to the router that supports this WLAN so any tweaks would have to be performed locally on my own WLAN card nbsp

I try the telnet (server) 25 and connection fails. I check the server and the SMTP virtual connector is there and operational. I have ran the best practises and tried reconfiguring email with no luck on receiving.
I am new to the Microsoft environment so no sure best way to debug this on the server. Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated.
networking I am good at administration I am not...... Please help
Its probably DNS or exchange it usually is. post your domain and I'll do some testing beyond that
Post an ipconfig /all
Is there anything in the event log?
Test the server here http://www.mxtoolbox.com/
Run netdiag and dcdiag then post the results?
I am experiencing problems with one of my contacts in Brazil. I send mails to their contact addresses such as [email protected] and they are received OK.
However when they reply or send a new mail it does not arrive & the sender does not get a "address not found message".
I have written to my provider in the UK btconnect but so far they have not come up with any possible solution. I think it might have something to do with our domain address fpsinternational.com.
The strange thing is it only happens with this one email address so one has to think the problem could be at their end but so far their IT man has been unable to solve the problem from his end.
I would appreciate hearing from anybody who may have experienced the same problem.

Sorry to bother you but you seem very knowledgeable about networking.
We travel in a motorhome about 6 months of the year. Have dsl at home but when we travel, I sometimes use my cell phone as a modem (have for about 4 years). The last couple of years a lot of the rv parks have installed wifi for the residents to use, but reception can be rather spotty in the parks. We do have a hawkings amplified antennae, (looks like a little satellite dish) which does a terrific job, but we would like to be able to extend the distance for reception.
Some folks have used an amplified usb external antennae,(in their coaches) with a marine external omni directional mounted outside. Do you have any recommendations as to what brand would be best for this use?
THANKS SO MUCH FOR YOU TIME AND TROUBLE to answer this question for us.
The combination of these two should give you greatly extended range: Hawking [HSB2] Hi-Gain WiFi Signal Booster and the
[HAO14SD] Outdoor Hi-Gain 14dBi Directional Antenna Kit. I'm assuming that pointing the antenna at the source is not an issue for you, right?

I had Vista then recently I installed windows XP SP3 from scratch (not downgraded). I downloaded latest drivers from Toshiba and installed them. Now I have a problem with microphone. Sound playback from speakers is well but reception level of built-in microphone is very low and often unrecognizable. I use a voip program. In Vista, microphone was working better.
Now in WXP, I am told that they can't hear me or my voice is very low and hardly recognizable. I also tried sound recorder in windows. My voice is like I am talking from ten meters away.
I don't have an external microphone so I can't tell if line-in micro. is working well.
In previous posts people mention downloading a hotfix for xp sound issues but I am not sure if applies to my situation.
As I can see you got recovery installations CD/DVD for WXP SP3. Has everything worked well with original recovery image? I mean is there some reason why you have installed sound driver again?
Have you been somehow informed about new drivers (Tempro)?
Which drivers you have installed exactly?
Which Satellite Pro U400 do you have (U400-xxx)?
When I switch the Video card over to use the TV as the monitor I get a black and white picture with fuzzy reception which just provides lines and such. I checked to be sure the SVIDEO cables and digital sound cables were connected tight and properly and they were. Did I mess up a setting? How can I fix this? Thanks

My son's large apartment complex just installed wifi for its tennants however it only reaches 300 ft. from the base unit. They gave him the password to log on but he is at least 3 times farther away than the 300 ft. He is on the 2nd floor of his building which should help somewhat but the apartment next to him is located between his & the building with the base unit. His balcony & windows face the opposite direction since he is on the backside of his building. He only has the wireless card that came installed in his Dell laptop. Is there any inexpensive device/antenna/booster that could increase his range of reception in order to pick up the wifi? He can not afford what his city charges for internet. Any help would be deeply appreciated since he doesn't have cable either & is going stir crazy.
i have spotty reception for my dell inspiron n4030 in parts of the house i have strong reception and in others i have weak or none at all. I have tried virus scans, changing the channel and running the troubleshooter. i am including screenshots of my comps info to help
Hi ssor777 and Welcome to SF,
Is this a work laptop? It is configured in a domain network, it has a DNS suffix of .local.
Another thing...you are using Open DNS's, you may set it back to 'Obtain DNS Server Automatically' from your Wireless setting.
Install and run Xirrus Wi-Fi Inspector.
Click on the 'Show Networks' to display all wireless networks on the xirrus icon on your desktop if you have one running in a corner. Tap the Printscreen key on your keyboard, open up Paint then choose Edit from the Menu and select Paste, then SAVE it. Upload and attached on your next Post.

I just bought a lumia 950 from the microsoft store in the US does it have dual sim as described on the store specs page?
Yes, it should have it.
The only way to not have a dual sim one is if you bought the AT&T Lumia 950.
My phone is not charging, but when the battery is placed in another phone of the exact same model it charges and works.
There is no problem with the charger as it charger all other phones.

so last night my phone ran out of battery, so I left it to charge overnight. (I wasn't paying attention so I can't remember if the phone said it was charging or not.)
This morning I woke up and my phone was completely unresponsive. Nothing happens when I press any of the buttons. I've also checked the charger to see if it was working and it is.
So any ideas on how to fix this?

Also check if time/date and region are set properly.

Is it possible to make payments using NFC on Lumia phones that support NFC? I just purchased a Lumia 640 and I see that it has NFC but I don't know how to add my debit card details to it. I remember 2-3 years ago hearing that it would be possible but I can't seem to figure out how to do it. I'm in the UK if that makes a difference.
Do you have the wallet app installed? I think you need that for it to workhttp://forums.windowscentral.com/ask-question/439177-nfc-payments-uk-microsoft-lumia-phones.html
Microsoft is not helping with my lumia 535 phone. There is no service center here in Malaysia. Please help! Where do I sought for help? The customer service is poor to max! First there were issues with the battery, secondly it wont charge, third - the keyboard types by itself like it is possessed! Fourth - Phone heats up within 5 minutes of conversation (hot like a cup of coffee in the morning). Fifth - Due to the heat, the edges of the back cover started to crack and the protect film peeled off. Now the phone is totally dead. Battery works well in another lumia 535 device. The customer service told me to contact a local microsoft service center but there is none. There is only a Nokia service center and they told me off that the parts are not available. So what do I do now? Please contact me.
Sounds like you may need a new battery for your phone.http://forums.windowscentral.com/ask-question/445025-microsoft-not-helping-my-lumia-535-phone.html

Three days back i purchased a lumia 950 and faced lot of over heating issue and some times it doesn't respond . Yesterday I gave it for service center . Lost hope from Microsoft releasing this kind of phone in market that too its not a low end phone I would have gone for Lumia 640xl lte .http://forums.windowscentral.com/ask-question/441172-microsoft-lumia-950-over-heat-issue.html

Are you running Windows Phone 8.1 or Windows 10 Mobile Technical Preview?http://forums.windowscentral.com/ask-question/385143-why-cant-i-take-screenshots-my-microsoft-lumia-535-phone.html
I found this out purely by chance today. Had to deal with Microsoft to see about getting a warranty replacement for my nine month old Lumia 830. I was informed by the MS rep that after October 1, they would no longer responsible for the Lumia brand and that they would be outsourced to a yet unnamed company. The question is, who is it?
I'm assuming from that information that some third-party repair service is going to be taking over for Lumia service and stuff.
I'm sure something like Asurion is to be expected.
I upgraded my Lumia 430 from Windows 8.1 to 10 . After the upgrade I used my for a week and decided to factory reset my phone .i run the reset completely until I reached the set up your phone view.i couldn't set up my phone because of bad network connection.so I shut down the phone so I could set it up later but unfortunately when I decided to switch on the phone it began the reset process again only that this time the phone can't boot any Os but shows only an emoji like this :-( and then turns off again

What sort of smartphone can you buy for just $70? Well you're about to find out, as Microsoft just launched the Lumia 430, their latest budget handset that features surprisingly okay specifications for a very low price tag.
For 70 bucks I'm sure you could do worse.
I bought a brand new Lenovo Yoga from a Lenovo shop in China Windows was pre-installed In the shop I requested on occasions that Windows be set for English They told me that I could easily change the language settings when I got home However when I got home I was unable to change the settings After a quick google I discovered that and VERY Microsoft - Lenovo service customer poor Windows in Microsoft and Lenovo - VERY poor customer service China is a special single-language installation named Windows PRC It is impossible to change the language Obviously this is no use to me as I don t speak China I contacted Lenovo who passed me on to Microsoft I contacted Microsoft who said that I had to go to Lenovo Microsoft insisted that Lenovo could simply change the installation to a multi-language version Here is part of the transcript from online Microsoft chat support Since this is a preinstalled product or Original Equipment Manufacturer OEM This was bought by the manufacturer of your computer to Microsoft and they were the one who installed it as well on your computer The manufacturer have the capability to change the installation to all language installation I have been back to Lenovo both the original shop and the after sales service office several times but have had no success On my latest visit days ago I refused to leave the shop until I received a full refund or a multi-language edition was installed In the end after a lot of arguing via a translator they agreed to install the multi-language version They said I could collect the computer the following day However after repeatedly calling them each day they have no finally told me that a multi-language version cannot be installed I am currently left with a computer that is not fit for purpose although they even still have that as it s the manager s day off Thank you Lenovo Thank you Microsoft Never again
I also have a Lenovo that I just bought here in the US (G700 model) and like it quite a bit. I cant speak one way or the other on Lenovo's customer service, since I've never dealt with them. I hate to say it, but your best bet is to download a Windows 8/8.1 iso from the Net (make sure it's multi-language/english first!), format your HDD, and then do a clean install and call MS. The downside is that they may or may not help you activate it. Good luck!http://www.eightforums.com/general-support/36964-microsoft-lenovo-very-poor-customer-service.html
I was reading the spec for the 535 it says microSD
So i wanted to know will a microSDXC or microSDHC work

I forgot the screen lock password i need to know how i can unlock my microsoft lumina 640
You will have to reset your phone and loose whatever data is not backed up.
Power off. Hold Volume Down and tap Power. When the exclamation screen (!) appears release Volume Down.
Now tap Volume Up / Volume Down / Power / Volume Up...
The spinning gears will show and your phone will reset.
Unless you remember the password it is all you can do.
My Microsoft lumia 535 phone now charges very slowly. Also, the Microsoft phone charger that came with it has stopped charging it (the charger is still working fine because i have tested it on other phones). Recently i have been left with no choice but charge it with a samsung ipad charger or i use a USB cord to connect to my desktop or laptop, though not all USB cord is working with it. Also now selective with USB cords.
The problem started after my phone battery completely drained out flat. Since then, charging my phone has been an uphill task.
Pls help. It is affecting my communication as my phone is down most of the time now
i have forgetten the passward of microsoft account in lumia 520 as now i am unable to install the whatsapp .. what to dohttp://forums.windowscentral.com/ask-question/438294-i-have-forgetten-passward-microsoft-account-lumia-520-a.html
My microsoft charger is suddenly not charging my phone and my phone is taking too long to charge if its dies at all, with other chargers. It has also started going off spontaneously....anyone knows what the problem could be? Is it my charger/charging system or software problem? And how do I deal with it?
Previously used this phone with Zune on my now-deceased PC with Windows XP (although even that took a while to establish). Now have an HP laptop with Windows 7 but Zune consistently refuses to recognize it and just comes up with the usual 'disconnect, turn off and reconnect'. I have downloaded both Microsoft Fixes and neither of them find anything wrong; I have uninstalled/reinstalled countless times; I have been into my certificates and made changes and/or deletions - and I m now simply running out of options ...and patience if I'm honest.
Almost all the internet advice suggests the fix is easy. Would the fact I've worked on this for over a month now suggest I am a one-off?!!!
A Google search revealed that there are many people who have had the same problem still unresolved after two years or so - just as often with other Windows Phones rather than Nokia. Can anyone help please?
Any luck with this?
Basically I want to run the MT4 software platform on a phone. Should I buy a new Microsoft mobile? I currently have am iPhone but would like to be able to spend time on my mobile phone working with the MT4 platform. Any help and advice would be most welcome. Thank you in advance.

Hello. I have a Microsoft Lumia 640 XL since March and after a very short time the secondary camera seems to bug me. Every time I am trying to switch between the main one and the secondary it keeps showing me "SOMETHING WENT WRONG". I have even factory reset the phone and nothing good happened. Is there anyone that could help me? Please!http://forums.windowscentral.com/ask-question/436826-microsoft-lumia-640-xl-secondary-camera-issues.html
I got locked out of my phone because i turned it off. And without any warning, the bitlocker screen has locked me out. I am really pissed off now. This isn't the first time us windows phone users have had a complaint. Now you are really asking us to buy phones from other companies.
I was watching YouTube on my phone and it just shut off and a red light appeared at the top left and my phone wont turn on. What does it mean?
could be because of low battery , connect the phone to a charger and wait for phone to reboot normally.

I don't think this is limited by hardware since the lumia camera seems better. It could be a nice option if you want to take pictures of night sky or a lighting storm.http://forums.windowscentral.com/ask-question/435397-why-dont-microsoft-add-longer-exposure-time-lumia-950-like-lg-g4-example.html
