Q: WARRANTY ISSUE

I am really unhappy with hp warranty services i have recently bought a hp pavillion notebook due to some reason my windows got corrupted and now service center is asking me to order a recovery disk py paying money even though it is not a hardware issueI have to pay extra 1000 rs bucks to order the recovery disc even though my laptop is underwarranty . I am really pissed with hp servicesAnd me and my family have been hp customers for a while. If there is anything you guys can do to improveMy warranty status let me know.

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

sir service engineer told me that your ram socket burns due to heat or power fluctuation  and so we have to change your motherboard for that and this is not covered in your warranty. i have adp warranty .So can i arugu with them in these conditions  ?Is warranty doesnot cover issue due to power fluctuation , which cover accidental protection, too ?

SN--CND6210ZFFProduct Number:  CND6210ZFFWindows 10 Home 64-bit My computer is approx 1-month old.  I purchased the 3-year warranty at that time, however, the warranty on the HP website still shows only the 1-year warranty.  Two previous email requests to support have gone unanswered.  In addition, I have spent almost two hours on the telephone with HP trying to resolve this issue.  I paid for the 3-year service, and should be provided the three year service.  Your help would be greatly appreciated.Respectfully submitted,Slingwing (Ron)

I have brought a hp laptop from a retail shop on 11-09-2016 but on hp website it showes that my warranty starts from 23-06-2016....PLEASE ANYONE PROVIDE A SOLUTION......

Your warranty is one year from retail purchase. HP puts in a placeholder date based on when the laptop was made but sometimes they sit on the shelf for a while. If you actually have a warranty problem it will be 1 year from purchase. Keep your proof of purchase documents and register your laptop with HP.

I bought a brand new Lenovo ideapad 305 from Argos. It has buzzing noise since I bought it. Called the Lenovo support centre in UK and the lady told me politely it is better if I take it back to Argos and they will help me. So I did that. The problem is, that Argos is really noise, of course we couldn't hear the noise as it is not that loud, but I am pretty sure, there is some problem. The lady told me she cannot do anything as we can't hear anything. Not the noise why I am woirred about. I am worried about the impact that can happen in the future, and maybe it will be after my warranty is expired. So my question is, why do I have a bloody warranty for the laptop if noone lift even a finger to help me? Is anyone had problem with Lenovo warranty or customer service?

Not being from Great Britain I can't really tell you what to do. I had a similar issue here in the US, and returned the notebook entirely to the store. It was very inconvenient, however when I bought a new one they gave me a small discount.I would look at their return policy, and see if you could still return it for a refund/in store credit. Then you could purchase another one, or go to a different store.I believe I found a good link where you can avoid going to the store, and handle the issue online even if you are past the 30 day return policy. I bought this laptop today - Windows 10, 128GB SSD Intel i3, but the warranty says 9 month remaining on the support assistant. I try disputing this on the site and let the support assistant find my model number, and it says that it's been obselete for a number of years, and then another part said unknown error?! I contacted live chat and they said they will try and get it updated in 3 weeks, but I'm not convinced. My printer had the same issue in Jan, contacted them then and they never updated it. Any ideas? Thanks

I bought a loptop from cape town south africa while i was there and i moved to srilanka . Now im having a problem with my lap top that it doesn't work which means when i see ress the on button it doesn't work so i contact the authorized HP service center in sri lanka and thy saing that they cant do anything becouse this was not bought from srilanka and its from another region. I own Y50-70 Lenovo laptop bought in Norway! The motherboard is broken and here in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina the services is not able to repair it or to replace it. I can not see the warranty status because the site does not recognize the Serial Number of my computer which is CB32585929! Services here recommend me to go to Norway to get my warranty but it is not an option for me. Please help!

This is not a technical question if i m posting in the wrong with Issue warranty/invoice section I request the moderators to move it to the correct place I m from India We have an online shop here called quot Snapdeal quot Purchased a laptop from here it s a Dell Vostro When I check the Dell warranty page Issue with warranty/invoice I see the quot Shipping Date quot is different from the date on my invoice Called up Dell support they asked me to mail a scanned Issue with warranty/invoice copy of the invoice and they will make the appropriate corrections I did and the next day Dell called me back and informed my Issue with warranty/invoice request has been rejected as there s no quot Service tag quot or quot Express service code quot mentioned in the invoice It s impossible for Dell to verify this invoice is for the laptop in question and i need to contact the quot place of purchase quot for an updated invoice which includes the service tag of the laptop I ve since called quot Snapdeal quot a number of times They keep telling they have taken a complaint and will send an updated invoice in hours but I m yet to receive this This is not really a Dell problem it s a quot Snapdeal quot problem Could someone please suggest what do I do now If the laptop gets stolen I won t even be able to complain to the police as my invoice is pretty much meaningless without the serial number of the laptop mentioned on it -

hello nbsp brought a ideapad series few months back ang got the motherboard problem times nbsp asked them to replace for one to one nbsp customer service Ideapad 500 - issue warranty support Ideapad 500 - warranty service issue center is really pathetic and very irresponsive guys they dont call mail to update nbsp they just take their own sweet time nbsp when i call to call center for the update they said its all already ready and asked me to collect but the support center guy after waiting for mins in queue he says no havent heard anything from the management nbsp really asked him who is management the reply was lenovo management nbsp why the support center doesnt work on weekends nbsp do expect your consumers to take half day leave just to go and wait in the support center to hear such irresponsive support answers nbsp within just months did visits to support center and still one more time to collect that dump nbsp i dont want support service business with lenovo and just wasting my time and efforts nbsp much much appriciated if you pay me my laptop money nbsp brought this laptop by beliving my friend's suggestion that the hardware is real professionally good nbsp haha nbsp by completely non-satisfied consumer nbsp Mod's Edit Additional information added to Subject line for clarity of issue nbsp

Hi, I purchased an Inspiron 1543 on Oct 27, 2015 from an authorized dell store at GIP Mall Noida and since then I have been strutggling with Dell Warranty team to update the warranty status under dell festive offers. They have updated only NBD warranty date to Oct 2018 sine I have purchased two years extended warranty, but all the other warranty dates are yet to be updated and they are not even replying my emails. The worst customer service I have ever seen. I will never recommend anytone to buy a dell product. I have provided everything they reqested already. My service tag #<ADMIN NOTE: Service tag removed per privacy policy>. My contact # are<ADMIN NOTE: Phone number removed per privacy policy>. Can anyone help? And specially Dell should not sell it's product through cheaters like Skope computers(A dell authorized showroom, GIM Mall, Noida.) They are thieves and cheaters and not have manners.

To Whom It May Concern nbsp This has been a nightmare trying to get support for a -year Worldwide Warranty product that my company purchased a little over nbsp year ago nbsp The dock's Issue ThinkPad Dock Warranty Pro OneLink DisplayPort seem to not be working properly The monitor that is connected to it will randomly go blank I've tried updating to the latest drivers and firmware for ThinkPad OneLink Pro Dock Warranty Issue the dock I tried switching monitors and switching cables I've tried moving around USB devices to make sure it isn't interfering with operation I've tried ThinkPad OneLink Pro Dock Warranty Issue connecting the bare minimum to the devices and the problem ThinkPad OneLink Pro Dock Warranty Issue persisted I need the DisplayPort as I am running a dual monitor setup nbsp I contacted the Customer Service line to get support To my dismay I was told my product was not under warranty and had to send in a copy of the invoice for nbsp my product The support rep gave me an nbsp email address to their entitlement department and was told I will receive a response within - hours It's been hours nbsp now and no response nbsp I try calling again to check on my status but told the same thing and that they don't have the service case in their system nbsp I hope some Lenovo rep can see this and provide some assistance

I was trying to get my GPU RMAd but lost the invoice and got this answer from TGT overclocking support:

"Dear Mr. xxxxx

I am sorry, but without a copy of the original invoice, the warranty is void. I know the experience of losing documents during a move, but the warranty claim requires a proof of purchase.

Another issue about the warranty claim is that TGT ceased operation. The closing is quite recent, I don't know yet what will happen regarding warranty requests."
Please be informed of the situation if you have a TGT GPU or planned to buy one.
TGT overclocking is the company making the overclocking for Point of View GPUs

As the title suggests - my invoice specifically says 3yrs warranty was purchased with my M3800 in November 2014. I'm now showing as out of warranty after 2yrs
I'm having issues with a screen that was replaced in May/June 2016 and would like a replacement as I believe the unit is faulty. Please can you get in touch to resolve.

I bought a refurbished Latitude E about two months ago and the system gave warranty? me a warning days ago saying the battery is reaching its life cycle and It need to replace a new battery After I tried to call and online chat with different dell departments for hours including chat with one very rude custom service person I was finally told that they get a lot warranty? of similar complains it is normal and I can not expect the battery better than that Should the furbished laptop not be similar to the new one introduction of this laptop on shop said the battery should last to hours when I made the purchase my laptop is less than half of it This is not warranty? the first time there are issues with my dell laptops but the warranty is just ridiculous for a laptop bought months ago This is the first refurbished computer that I ever bought and I hope this is the last laptop I bought from dell

If the battery is original to the system, it's between 4 and 5 years old - and likely well past its design life.  A "refurbished" system of that model is not the same as a "refurbished" new system - was it purchased direct from Dell, or elsewhere?

I posted a msg regarding a possible IRQ problem and missing internet connection.  Received a PM to call a number, did so and worked with a person from Skyfill who told me my warranty was expired.  My computer shows that I have 6 months left but the help person disputed that; so I paid for assistance to get computer internet connection fixed.   How do I dispute the warranty coverage?

how do i get the warranty for my geforce graphic card because the fan and heatsink is broken when i bought it and i cant do anything and i lost the bill and it keeps overheating now the computer turns off after 10 seconds now how do i get it?

contact who you purchased it from and see what they can do. they should have records of the transaction. if you purchased it with a charge card you could contact them also for any record of the purchase.

So, my HP Envy x360 has a screen problem that I described in an earlier post, but the situation that I am in currently is that around February, I contacted HP to get a box to send my laptop back and get it repaired in. Now, I couldn't send it back at the time because I needed it every day for classes. So, I decided to wait until the end of the school year, not thinking that my warranty expires in April . Hi I bought a display unit of AiO at the Singapore COMEX 2016 1 week ago. Sales rep told me there's on site 3 years warranty given by HP but when I set up the unit and there was a pop up warranty indicating the warranty period only covers 1 year.And the registration was done by the retailer when the pc was put on display in the event. Please advise what I can do to obtain the 3 years revised status? Help please. HP Support Assistant changed overnight and now shows Warranty Expired and date Dec 2015 when I bought the PC. Expiry date should be 3 December 2016.Have sent HP Warranty Dispute form and evidence of purchase (twice). No response. Have used Assistant Agent twice and was very pleased with excellent service. Because warranty is out of date, according to HP, contact with them is limited and try as I can I have been unable to get a phone call through to customer service (its always busy!). I have even contacted HP  Head Office who gave me the same phone number and a complaints e- mail address which turned out to be in South America! Message on HP Support Assistant  received today asks me to continue  warranty by paying for 2 year cover. Have paid for this today and hope this will sort situation. Meanwhile who can I e mail at HP in the UK to resolve this?

System is a dell studio xps 435mt/ os 7 premium/ I7 CPU/ 8 gigs of ram/ ati video card just replaced 3 months ago/ hitachi deskstar 500g hd/power supply delta 360w.

Had no error messages. Was running fine, it had a few glitches but nothing serious. I attempted to power up the system but nothing , it has power the green light is on for the power supply.. I get one amber light when i press the power button on front panel, and one flicker of the red light on the video card.

This system is only 2 years old. The warranty expired on it's second birthday, which was the day after the warranty ran out.

Had a PC built last year and is still under warranty. Need to take back as their is Hardware problems. Found this out doing a Memory Diagnostic Test. The question I wish to ask is that I have 2 internal hardrives and 1 external drive. 1xSSD & 1X mechanical HD inside. I have backedup all my documents,music and photos on the external HD but what else do I need to do as I am not comfortable handing over my PC with other stuff such as personal contacts and emails. Hope someone can help.

Are you worried about actually losing something or are you worried about someone snooping into your contacts and emails when you'd rather they didn't?

Your email and contacts are likely on your C drive. You could back them up as well. Also bookmarks. Where that stuff is depends on what browser and email you use.

You could actually remove any non-operating system drives if necessary---unless that might somehow cause a warranty issue.

I can understand your reluctance. I'd probably remove hard drives when possible, even if I had the stuff backed up.

A:Notebook M30-70 - SSD and warranty

Technically opening the back of the laptop can void the warranty since there are no consumer replaceable parts (CRUs) inside your model.  Fortunately most Lenovo Service Centers understand that owners will upgrade the memory and change hard drives so they tend to over look the fact that the laptop has been previously opened.  If you use care in opening the laptop and center your activities on just replacing the hard drive I don't think you will have a problem, but keep in mind the Service Center makes that final determination.   Also keep in mind if the system ever needs to be sent in the warranty won't cover the new SSD drive.  That warranty is provided by the SSD drive's manufacturer. 
 
For your reference I have included a link below to your model's Hardware Maintenance Manual that explain how to remove the exisiting hardware.  Please follow any advice or pre-cautions the manual has to offer.

Sorry i didnt know where else to put this in lol Ok so im Warranty Computer on the pay weekly thing with the computer i have which is a Scaleo P Computer Warranty Fujitsu Siemens and i have been on the for years now and still currently on it until August this year Now when i want the computer serviced i get it free because im on a plan now im currently collecting info and prices of components for this computer to upgrade it but because im still on the plan and the Computer Warranty computer is years old not to mention it keeps restarting without warning and the computer and its components are out-dated can i have them upgrade it my computer for free cause im not really sure such as new graphics card processor RAM and PSU This was what i was planning to do myself but if i can get it done for free that would be great I know im on the plan but i dont Computer Warranty know if i can upgrade it for free as im paying for a year old computer that isnt worth what im going to pay for it in the end and would like up to date components Thanks in advance

I doubt very seriously they will up date it for free, but you have to read the contract to be sure.

It is getting old, in computer years, but a lot of it depends on what you use it for.

Also plan on replacing the hard drive down the road. Hard drives will die after a period of time.

The restarting could be as simple problem as it is dirty/dusty inside, i.e.heat!

Hello,

I have a new Acer mini desktop which I use as an HTPC running Win 8.
I just bought it a week ago and I still haven't registered it for mafucaturer's warranty coverage because I have to wait until the store warranty is over (otherwise they won't accept the item for return or exchange if it is registered to Manufacturer).
Anyways, it has 4 RAM slots (16GB max RAM) and only 2 so far are used (4+4GBs). If I added 2 more RAM cards to it (upgrade RAM myself), would it void the manufacturers 1 year warranty?

Has anyone carefully reviewed Comodo's hardware warranty? It will pay the user $500 malware permanently damages the system - beyond any repair - with CIS installed. In 99.99999% of cases a clean install of the OS fixes everything. And how are you going to prove that malware permanently broke your HDD, your screen, or any other hardware?

Comodo's Warranty is phrased and termed in a manner that makes it a virtual impossibility that Comodo will ever have to make a pay out.

It's all fine and good that Melih stands behind his products - but the warranty is absurd.

This illustrates the ridiculousness of it all...

I, HJLBX, will personally insure anyone - absolutely free of any cost - against "The Sky Falling," and will pay anyone who presents a valid claim - $1,000,000,000.

Such insurance is worthless.

A warranty is supposidly 12 months yet i have only had mine 1 1/2 months and is says i only have 8 months warranty left, somethings wrong there and looking at the dispute page it looks like you cant dispute it until they says its run out????

Hi Is it registered with HP? When registration occurs the warranty would be adjusted to start from the born on date (I think you press ESC and then F1 to view this). So if you could try that and then ask again if there is still a difficulty.

My 15" Acer Chromebook CB5-571 just died a couple of weeks past the warranty deadline. It was wonky when I first got it from the Play Store but the updates seemed to help. Now it just died and won't start. Where can we go for recompense on these defective machines? I'm not willing to shell out around 1/3 of the purchase price for a battery when I'm not sure that's the issue. Google Play is nice, but not when the machines they're selling are crap and nobody can own up to the issues.

Hi guys as lenovo y50 user i got some problems with overheatin, temperature i think are the same for all about 77/78°, i already got a cooling pad and it's help me but it keep the temperature 1 or 2 degree less, the problem is the dust inside fan so i think i will open it. The question is if i open the back of my pc warranty will void?PS->  i already used  the cleaning dust tool and seems quite useless if u need to clean the mess, i think it just help hold the fan clean.

Been trying to register my product but it keeps coming up with the wrong product. I put my S/N and Type number in and it says it's invalid but they're both right. It also says that the S/N is for a Smartphone not a G500 Lenovo laptop. Someone please help!

Hi I'm having problems looking up warranty information for an HP Monitor I purchased at Tigerdirect (P.S. They no longer accept returns for anything per there policy change so this will likely be the last thing I buy from them). Anyway When attempting to lookup the Serial Number and Product Number it says it isnt found...I'm not sure what is going on. Someone I know purchased an identical monitor and is having issues and needs to turn there monitor in for warranty and is having the same problems I have.

I think I found it. I was about to login to the Chat Support Site and somehow it grabbed the warranty info (not sure how... Evey check has failed thus far)The product Number has a second A (My product Number on the back of my Monitor clearly does not) Here is what is on the back of my monitor: K6X12AHere is what the computer some how found: K6X12AA  (note the second A)This is very concerning. Even after using the Warranty Check tool the Product Number on the back fails. I can even upload a picture of my Product Number for proof.

Desktop purchased with 3yr warranty; back 3 times for repair. On 4th occasion it is returned unrepaired with a note that warranty does not cover it.  There should be a replacement machine of serviceable quality or a refund for both the machine and the warranty fee.  What sort of customer service is HP providing?  I will not be purchasing HP again if this what is on offer, and advising anybody else I speak to that they should avoid this company.

Hi: The info you are referring to means 1 Year parts, 1 Year labor, and 0 Years on site service. My HP business desktop PC's have 3y/3y/3y.   3 years parts, 3 years labor and 3 years on site service.  In other words, the techs will come to my house to fix my PC for up to 3 years.

I purchased below laptop on 17-Jul-2016 from authorized HP store in Noida, but web site shows that it has already been registered 2 months ago.
