I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/directdownload.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

On all my pc's I now have a "get cortana for my phone" message in all the cortana action windows. How in the heck do I get rid of this? it is screwing up all my viewing habits for weather, sports score etc.

Why does microsoft keep jamming all this junk in the cortana window, I don't want anything except what I choose to have displayed.

Hi and welcome to SevenForums,
You can install 10tp substituting the win-8 referrals for 10tp on this tutorial,
VMware Player - Install Windows 8

Then you can optimize the v-m settings with this,

Hi: I upgraded from Win 7HP and everything went well.  After a few weeks(and I assume an update) I cannot use the start menu or the search bar/ Cortana. I have to right click it to be able shut down or access control panel. No apps are accessible
either.  I don't get the start menu/smart screen tab when I go to settings either.

I recently bought a new computer. HP Pavillion, AMD 64 Live!, with Windows Vista on it.

I am still trying to get used to it, but I do like it (esp. since my other computers are so darn slow now).

Well, for the last few days, it started acting up. It has these windows pop up...not matter where I go, or what I do...to a point that they even block me from accessing stuff.

It's just the simple window (sorry, not sure if it has a name) with like View, Sort by, Refresh, etc...on it, depending where I am at. I mean, I can turn the computer on and the window pops up. I get rid of it, it comes back over and over....

Does anyone else have this problem or know what this could be, please? Thanks.

Hi colesmum

I'm new to vista also. I found that vista is just a whole lot more secure (sometimes too secure) so it always asks if the actions that are occurring have been authorized by you the user. Also you may find many programs wont work unless you run them as the administrator. Hope this helps.

Quite a while back, I tried installing a printer, and something went wrong; I don't exactly remember the details, but here's the result:

Everytime I startup Windows, the window pops up declaring Windows has found new hardware ("Printer") and then attempts to help me out with the 'wizard'. I don't even have anything hooked up to the computer, yet it still claims it has found new hardware.

Does anyone know what I can do to convince my computer that I am not trying to install new hardware? I've even tried to indulge my computer in its attempts to search for the driver, and at the end of the process, when it says it cannot find the driver (and you can choose to NOT prompt again for this hardware), it still pops up after every startup (I don't even have DeepFreeze or anything else like that).

Any ideas?

A:Desktop Window keeps popping up. please help

Hello Dave -
Please download the tools to Desktop and Copy and Paste any logs.

First - This is a "basic clean-up" and we will go further depending on your answers.

Please download and run RKill by Grinler.
A black DOS box will appear for a short time and then disappear.
This is normal and indicates the tool ran successfully.
At most the tool will usually run for about 2 minutes
Please Copy / Paste the small log back here.

Important: Do not reboot your computer until you complete the next step.

* NOW :
Please download AdwCleaner by Xplode and save to your Desktop.
 * Double-click on AdwCleaner.exe to run the tool.
 * Vista/Windows 7/8 users right-click and select Run As Administrator.
 * Click on the Scan button (only once)
 * AdwCleaner will begin...be patient as the scan may take some time to complete.
 * After the scan has finished, click on the Report button...a logfile (AdwCleaner[R0].txt) will open in Notepad for review.
* Check the removals and see if you are OK with the list.
* Now
 * Click on the Clean button (only once)
 * Press OK when asked to close all programs and follow the onscreen prompts.
 * Press OK again to allow AdwCleaner to restart the computer and complete the removal process.
 * After rebooting, a logfile report (AdwCleaner[S0].txt) will open automatically.
 * Copy and Paste the contents of that logfile in your next reply.
* A copy of all logfiles are also saved in the C:\AdwCleaner folder which was created when running the tool.

Next -
Please download Junkware Removal Tool by Thisisu
Open your browser and go to Downloads, then click on the Junkware Removal Tool to install it.
Click on Run to initiate the installation.
To avoid potential conflicts, Temporarily Disable your Antivirus.
You may want to be offline when you do this.
Run the tool by double-clicking it. If you are using Windows Vista, 7, or 8; instead of double-clicking, right-mouse click JRT.exe and select Run as Administrator.
The tool will open and start scanning your system.
Please be patient as this can take a while to complete depending on your system's specifications.
On completion, a log (JRT.txt) is saved to your desktop and will automatically open.
Copy and this in your next post..

If the problem still exists, please tell me what browser(s) are the worst -

I think I have spyware on my pc. 'new.snappyads.biz' keeps popping up every time I load up internet. I close it, and it re-appears a few minutes later. Also, my computer keeps making clicking noises.

I have scanned with 'PC tools' and 'Spybot S&D' and it gets rid of some but this one keeps coming back. It is driving me insane. Does anyone know how to get rid of this problem? Was going to use that highjack programme mentioned in a few posts.

ps - I also cant access 'mozilla firefox'. I have installed it but when I click on it, nothing happens. All this has only happened in the last week.

FYI, I have done a disc cleanup and defrag.

Any help, much appreciated.
Thanks

Hi,No, please do not run HijackThis.Do this instead:Please download Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and save it to your desktop.alternate download link 1alternate download link 2Make sure you are connected to the Internet.Double-click on Download_mbam-setup.exe to install the application. When the installation begins, follow the prompts and do not make any changes to default settings. When installation has finished, make sure you leave both of these checked:Update Malwarebytes' Anti-MalwareLaunch Malwarebytes' Anti-MalwareThen click Finish.MBAM will automatically start and you will be asked to update the program before performing a scan. If an update is found, the program will automatically update itself. Press the OK button to close that box and continue. If you encounter any problems while downloading the updates, manually download them from here and just double-click on mbam-rules.exe to install. On the Scanner tab:Make sure the "Perform Quick Scan" option is selected. Then click on the Scan button. If asked to select the drives to scan, leave all the drives selected and click on the Start Scan button. The scan will begin and "Scan in progress" will show at the top. It may take some time to complete so please be patient. When the scan is finished, a message box will say "The scan completed successfully. Click 'Show Results' to display all objects found".Click OK to close the message box and continue with the removal process.Back at the main Scanner screen, click on the Show Results button to see a list of any malware that was found.Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected. When removal is completed, a log report will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to restart your computer. (see Note below)The log is automatically saved and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.Copy and paste the contents of that report in your next reply and exit MBAM.Note: If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts. Click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process. If asked to restart the computer, please do so immediately. Failure to reboot will prevent MBAM from removing all the malware.

Hi,

Recently my Windows has been going nuts and occasionally popping up tons of blank search windows in which if I close them, they repop over and over again, it's driving me nuts. As this is going on, I can't tab to other applications, and I can't type - my keyboard is completely messed up and every time I try typing, it highlights the character and erases it as soon as I type the next character. Not really sure what to do but bang my head on the keyboard.

Worth A Look. Why are you mentioning "infection" in your post? What makes you say that? Do you have any evidence of such occurring?IMO, your browser is probably damaged and the simple way to resolve that would be to uninstall/reinstall it...repair it...or reset it to default settings. If your system IS infected, none of the above matters and I need to move your topic to a malware forum...so please answer the questions I asked.Louis

I've tried everything I can think of to get this (*$)^@)(#^#) window from coming up. Anytime you try to go to a website, you get an error message saying "Insecure Internet activity. Threat of virus attack" and then try to direct you to download a very expensive "anti-virus" program. I used Hijack this to create a log because I'm just not sure where to clean it out of. Can someone please look at this file and see if any of these are the problem? Thanks so much!!!!

Also - this is on my mother's computer who has no clue about how to work any of this stuff....LOL I'm the resident computer fixer when she screws stuff up.

Thanks - DeLaina

Howdy, my name is Hoov, and I will be helping you with your dilemma. Please make sure you watch this thread for responses. If you click the options tab at the top of your first post, you can select to track this thread. Here is what I am asking you to do during the repair of your computer*Tell me everything that you have done, if anything, to try and fix this problem.*Please only use 1 forum to help clear up your problem. Posting on more than 1 and following instructions from more than 1 forum will cause those helping you to pull out thier hair.*Follow my instructions - If you can't for some reason, or if you don't understand something, please tell me. If you deviate from my instructions, tell me, it may make a difference on where we go. Don't install anything, even other programs that have nothing to do with security or malware, it could cause things to change, and I would never know it. *Have faith. I will do all I can to get your computer working, and if I can't - someone else here will know something else to try. *Stick with me to the end. My aim is to fix your problems, and give you the tools and knowledge to keep this from happening again. Now onto trying to fix your computer. Please download Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and save it to your desktop.alternate download link 1alternate download link 2Make sure you are connected to the Internet.Double-click on mbam-setup.exe to install the application. When the installation begins, follow the prompts and do not make any changes to default settings. When installation has finished, make sure you leave both of these checked:Update Malwarebytes' Anti-MalwareLaunch Malwarebytes' Anti-MalwareThen click Finish.MBAM will automatically start and you will be asked to update the program before performing a scan.If an update is found, the program will automatically update itself.Press the OK button to close that box and continue. If you encounter any problems while downloading the updates, manually download them from here and just double-click on mbam-rules.exe to install. Alternatively, you can update through MBAM's interface from a clean computer, copy the definitions (rules.ref) located in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from that system to a usb stick or CD and then copy it to the infected machine. On the Scanner tab:Make sure the "Perform full Scan" option is selected. Click 'Show Results' to display all objects found".Click OK to close the message box and continue with the removal process.Back at the main Scanner screen:Click on the Show Results button to see a list of any malware that was found.Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected. When removal is completed, a log report will open in Notepad. The log is automatically saved and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.Copy and paste the contents of that report in your next reply and exit MBAM.Note: If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you may be asked to reboot your computer so it can proceed with the disinfection process. Regardless if prompted to restart the computer or not, please do so immediately. Failure to reboot normally (not into safe mode) will prevent MBAM from removing all the malware. MBAM may "make changes to your registry" as part of its disinfection routine. If using other security programs that detect registry changes (ie Spybot's Teatimer), they may interfere or alert you after scanning with MBAM. Please temporarily disable such programs or permit them to allow the changes. Also run hijackthis and post a new log as well... Read more

Hi,

I'm running Windows 8.1 but live on the desktop. I am having a strange, random problem a few times a day, not specific to any particular software that I'm running. A black window about 3 inches square pops up and goes away. Initially, it stayed up about a second and there was text in the box that looked like program code to me. Now it's flashing so fast that I can see nothing. Has anybody ever seen anything like this?

I have a Dell Inspiron 5547 laptop. Most of the time I am using IE 11, MS Office 2007 (Outlook mail, Word, Excel), simple games, McAfee LiveSafe.

This did not happen concurrent with any new software installation. I'm not sure if Windows or McAfee program updates coincided with it.

Thank you for your support.

Sounds like a Command Prompt running a Batch File or something. Why and what's triggering it is the real question.

Windows Security Window keeps popping up!
For some reason this window has started popping up!

' Please verify that both the username and password are correct for your mail server.'

To get rid of the Window I have to enter my details and password to gain access to Windows Mail or just cancel the Window and try again to receive/send and all is fine! This problem pops up every few minutes!

Any tips please on resolving this problem. I am using Vista 32 bit. ISP Tiscali. AVG email scanning incoming.

For a few days, a DOS window pops up briefly, first at windows start up but then throughout the session. I haven't determined any trigger. It looks like it's doing something with a temporary file --creating, deleting?? not sure as it is only up briefly, but I am able to read the changing file names of the naming convention je*.tmp. I have seen je98.tmp and je288.tmp. I have done WE searches and looked in the temp file folder. Probably the names are generated on the fly. I cannot relate it to anything new I have changed or installed. I did install Malwarebytes' Antimalware last week and there was a Mozilla Firefox update earlier in the week, but I think this started days after the first install and not really sure when the Firefox update was. I don't know how to track this down.
Thank you.
Chris

However the alert window keeps popping up with a update. After it is installed it pops up again and keep popping up. I have rebooted and it stills pops up.

hello ncis....you may try restarting your computer, then tap F8 select Last Known Good Command Config. and see what's happened.

or go to your control panel => Add/Remome program, check off Updates and find the most recent windows/security updates that you downloaded and uninstall it.

or if none of the above works, do a System Restore.

Hope this helps. RD

I keep getting a Windows Explorer window popping up - not an IE window. It seems to happen only when I have an IE window open, though. It opens to C:\Documents and Settings\kzeidle\My Documents\My Videos although there are no videos in that folder - the folder is empty. I have tried running a virus scan with empty results - seems to be no virus. I ran Spybot and Adaware and that didn't help either. It's annoying - i bet that window popped up 40 times while trying to type this. Any help?

Welcome to the BleepingComputer Forums. Since it has been a few days since you scanned your computer with HijackThis, we will need a new HijackThis log. If you have not already downloaded Random's System Information Tool (RSIT), please download Random's System Information Tool (RSIT) by random/random which includes a HijackThis log and save it to your desktop. If you have RSIT already on your computer, please run it again. Double click on RSIT.exe to run RSIT. Click Continue at the disclaimer screen. Please post the contents of log.txt. Thank you for your patience. Please see Preparation Guide for use before posting about your potential Malware problem. If you have already posted this log at another forum or if you decide to seek help at another forum, please let us know. There is a shortage of helpers and taking the time of two volunteer helpers means that someone else may not be helped. Please post your HijackThis log as a reply to this thread and not as an attachment. I am always leery of opening attachments so I always request that HijackThis logs are to be posted as a reply to the thread. I do not think that you are attaching anything scary but others may do so. While we are working on your HijackThis log, please: Reply to this thread; do not start another! Do not make any changes on your computer during the cleaning process or download/add programs on your computer unless instructed to do so. Do not run any other tool until instructed to do so! Let me know if any of the links do not work or if any of the tools do not work. Tell me about problems or symptoms that occur during the fix. Do not run any other programs or open any other windows while doing a fix. Ask any questions that you have regarding the fix(es), the infection(s), the performance of your computer, etc.Thanks.

To get rid of the Window I have to enter my details and password to gain access to Windows Mail.

Any tips please on resolving this problem. I am using Vista 32 bit. ISP Tiscali. AVG email scanning incoming.

Thanks Alan

A:Windows Security Window keeps popping up!

Hi alan8376
Is this problem associated with your outgoing mail too?
Try turning off your AVG email scanner & see if that makes a difference.

See if turning "Scroll inactive windows when I hover over them" under Settings | Devices | Mouse & Touchpad works.

Please help! For the past three days the 'Search Results' window keeps popping up randomly and numerous times whereby I can't even work on my computer anymore!

I already updated and ran AVG numerous times but no virus found. I already updated and ran SUPERAntiSpyware but no virus found.

I already ran msconfig and disabled the 'Windows Search' but that didn't solve the problem either.

I'm using my HP Pavilion dv9830us LapTop and running VISTA.

Any HELP would really be appreciated! Thanks!

Hi,

I keep getting a windows installer popup window whenever I open ANY program. It says that “The feature you are trying to use is on a CD-Rom or other removable disk that is not available. Insert the disk and click OK. There is nothing listed in “Use Source”. I can’t tie it to anything I have done recently.

I have Windows XP SP2

Can anyone help?

Thank you,

Gail

A:Windows Installer Window Keeps Popping Up

Hi grandmagail

Do you have Microsoft Office installed?

If so, insert the Office disk and direct the Windows Installer to the disk, for the source.
If it is not the source, you should see a message to that effect.

Let us know what happens.

Hello,

Not sure if I'm posting in the right place!

But, the search results window keeps popping up repeatedly. Whenever I try to close it, it just comes back. This happens all the time and sometimes more than 1 pops up. Also, when I'm on the home page my mouse indicator flickers. I've tried an anti-malware and spyware doctor - nothing was detected.

Really need help with this so replies would be very much appreciated!

Thanks in advance,
Nancy

Hey guys, so I think I got a pretty nasty virus yesterday. I thought I took care of it, but a couple problems are still persisting.

I keep getting hidden windows that play random ads. I opened task manager and closed the iexplorer.exe process and that stopped the playback, but it keeps happening.

Also, whenever I do a Google search, the results page pop up, but every time I click one of the links I get redirected elsewhere.

I'm not sure what to do about either. Are they separate attacks or symptoms of the same thing?

A:Random IE window ads popping up and Google redirecting

Before we determine that it is a rootkit:Hello,And welcome to BleepingComputer.com, before we can assist you with your question of: Am I infected? You will need to perform the following tasks and post the logs of each if you can.Malwarebytes Anti-MalwarePlease download Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and save it to your desktop.Download Link 1Download Link 2MBAM may "make changes to your registry" as part of its disinfection routine. If using other security programs that detect registry changes (ie Spybot's Teatimer), they may interfere or alert you. Temporarily disable such programs or permit them to allow the changes.Make sure you are connected to the Internet.Double-click on mbam-setup.exe to install the application.
For instructions with screenshots, please refer to the How to use Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware Guide. When the installation begins, follow the prompts and do not make any changes to default settings. When installation has finished, make sure you leave both of these checked:Update Malwarebytes' Anti-MalwareLaunch Malwarebytes' Anti-MalwareThen click Finish.MBAM will automatically start and you will be asked to update the program before performing a scan.If an update is found, the program will automatically update itself. Press the OK button to close that box and continue. If you encounter any problems while downloading the definition updates, manually download them from here and just double-click on mbam-rules.exe to install. On the Scanner tab:Make sure the "Perform Full Scan" option is selected. The log is automatically saved and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.Copy and paste the contents of that report in your next reply. Be sure to post the complete log to include the top portion which shows MBAM's database version and your operating system.Exit MBAM when done.Note: If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be asked to reboot your computer so MBAM can proceed with the disinfection process. If asked to restart the computer, please do so immediately. Failure to reboot normally (not into safe mode) will prevent MBAM from removing all the malware.SUPERAntiSpyware:Please download and scan with SUPERAntiSpyware FreeDouble-click SUPERAntiSypware.exe and use the default settings for installation. An icon will be created on your desktop. Double-click that icon to launch the program. If it will not start, go to Start > All Prgrams > SUPERAntiSpyware and click on Alternate Start. If asked to update the program definitions, click "Yes". If not, update the definitions before scanning by selecting "Check for Updates". (If you encounter any problems while downloading the updates, manually download them from here. Double-click on the hyperlink for Download Installer and save SASDEFINITIONS.EXE to your desktop. Then double-click on SASDEFINITIONS.EXE to install the definitions.)In the Main Menu, click the Preferences... button.Click the "General and Startup" tab, and under Start-up Options, make sure "Start SUPERAntiSpyware when Windows starts" box is unchecked.Click the "Scanning Control" tab, and under Scanner Options, make sure the following are checked (leave all others unchecked):Clo... A:How to stop Adobe Reader window from popping up

In view of the mix of issues and slowness it is most likely due to malware. Please run these three small freebies, in the order given, which often unearth what an antivirus misses:AdwCleaner:http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/dow...(blue Download button near top - not anything else on the page).Download and "Save" the file somewhere. Go to the saved file then double click it to run the program. Use the "Scan" button, followed by the "Cleaning" button.Junkware Removal Tool (JRT)http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/dow...(blue Download button near top - not anything else on the page).Download and "Save" the file somewhere. Go to the saved file then double click it to run JRT. It might appear to have stopped at times or flash the screen but sit tight until it has finished.MalwareBytes:http://filehippo.com/download_malwa...(green Download button top right - not anything else on the page)Install and Run the program but before doing its Scan go to "Settings > Detection and Protection" and put a checkmark in "Scan for rootkits". Quarantine anything it finds. Please copy/paste the logs on here because even if the symptoms are cured you are likely to still have things lurking around that require further cleaning.Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanksmessage edited by Derek

Typically happens when I click a link on google it will open a new window with an ad that is unrelated.  Also happens sometimes when I type in a website address.  I use internet explorer.  I have run scans with Malwarebytes - it says nothing is detected and superantispyware and spybot have both found and removed tracking cookies and adware but problem still persists.

A:Problem With The Installation Window Keep Popping Up At Startup..

Hello neko3386 and welcome to the BC HijackThis forum. Have you tried removing the item from the startup yet? Let's do that and see what happens.Start HijackThis and click the Scan button to perform a scan. Look for the following items and click in the checkbox in front of each item to select it:O4 - Startup: Sonic INSTALLit! Setup.lnk = C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\My Documents\memory stick\to discard\Katz\PERSON\Download\Palm Desktop Setup Files\setup.exeNow close ALL open windows except HijackThis and click the Fix Checked button to finish the repair. If the installation request appears again after a reboot and/or connecting the Palm device to the computer then it is something that the Palm device is requiring. Your options would be to finish the installation or post a question in the PDA forum here. The techs there might have further information on either installing the requested application or piece of hardware or a way to disable the installation and still allow the Palm device to function properly. The HijackThis forum deals exclusively with virus and malware issues. HijackThis does not have the capability to analyze performance, hardware or application issues. Cheers.OT

first off, this is the window im talking about:my problem is that it automatically pops up if my system is not connected to the internet.. and i don't want it to, because i sometimes work offline and it totally frustrates me.. i want to only connect manually.. so anyway, i've tried to poke around the internet settings but sadly i couldn't find a way to disable it.. any help would be greatly appreciated.. thank you!

A:How to stop the "Connect to" window from automatically popping up

You do not state which OS and which browser you use, so I am assuming Windows.

Open Internet Explorer then tools>internet options>connections and check the box "never dial a connection"

A:Windows Explorer Restart Window Keeps Popping Up

Are you finding any suspicious processes in Task Manager? When you experience or encounter strange behavior, always check for new, unknown or suspicious processes that may be running on your system.Anytime you come across a suspicious file or one that you do not recognize, search the name using Google or the following links:BC's File DatabaseBC's Startup Programs DatabaseFile Research CenterThreatExpert Malware SearchIf no search results are found, you are given the option to "Submit a New Sample".Determining whether a file is malware or a legitimate process sometimes depends on the location (path) it is running from. One of the ways that malware tries to hide is to give itself the same name as a critical system file. However, it then places itself in a different location on your computer. A file's properties may give a clue to identifying it. Right-click on the file, Properties and examine the General and Version tabs. You can download and use Process Explorer or System Explorer to investigate all running processes and gather additional information to identify and resolve problems. These tools will show the process CPU usage, a description and its path location. If you right-click on the file in question and select properties, you will see more details about the file. Anytime you come across a suspicious file which you cannot find any information, the file has a legitimate name but is not located where it is supposed to be, or you want a second opinion, submit it to jotti's virusscan or virustotal.com. In the "File to upload & scan" box, browse to the location of the suspicious file and submit (upload) it for scanning/analysis.-- Then post back with the results of the file analysis.

List Minidump FilesClick Go and post the result (Result.txt). A copy of Result.txt will be saved in the same directory the tool is run. Note: When using "Reset FF Proxy Settings" option Firefox should be closed.Next run MBAM (MalwareBytes):Please download Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and save it to your desktop.Download Link 1Download Link 2MBAM may "make changes to your registry" as part of its disinfection routine.
Failure to reboot normally (not into safe mode) will prevent MBAM from removing all the malware.Troubleshoot Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware

I'm sure it's legitimate but it doesn't tell me anything about what it is and I'd like to know how to turn it off so it doesn't pop up every time I print (not to mention if it's a feature that might be useful to me in other instances)! Screenshot below. Thanks!

On my laptop S50D-A-10F and windows 10 most selections using touch pad results in windows help window popping up. I have resolved this several times but it keeps coming back. Use external mouse and everything is OK. I never use windows search so completely disabling it would be great.

I use Sony Vaio.. the problem is that a Vaio Analysis manager / Windows Installer window keeps popping up and it suddenly exit without me even knowing what it is doing or installing.

A:Vaio Analysis manager / Windows Installer window keeps popping up

Hello zolboo and a warm welcome to the Forum
I found this on the Sony website. If you follow the instructions it should solve your problem

Quote:
This is the Vaio Personalisation Manager which keeps track of your favorite music, programs etc. As far as I can work out it is designed to make personalised recommendations of music or other things you may be interested in when using Vaio Media Gallery. Rather like Amazon's Personal Recommendations.
If you don't want this service then just disable it. Go to VAIO Analysis Manager and you will find an option something like ' Preference Learning' - just uncheck it and reboot.

A couple weeks ago, we got an early look at Cortana in Windows 10 and thanks to the new leak of Windows 10 build 9901, we have a lot more to share about the new feature.
As you can see from the images in this post, in build 9901, Cortana is much more refined in her appearance and she appears to be more responsive on our install. More so, we can also dig into the settings of the feature and gain a better understanding of where the feature is headed.

Windows 10: Cortana gets refined, adds "Hey Cortana" feature - Neowin

The Windows Installer cannot continue" Then I click ok, and it says Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."

It is really a PAIN IN THE BUTT! Its been going on for a relly long time and I just want to make it stop. Please help me?

Hi,

I am facing a problem in which search results window keeps popping up and stealing focus from the other active windows which makes work impossible.
When working with Internet explorer, the find (ctrl+f thing) keeps coming up again stealing the focus.

I have vista home premium 32 bit as my operating system.

How should I proceed to fix this?

Unless I click the microphone first. I have a brand new windows 10 computer. I've run set up to have her learn my voice and respond to Hey Cortana, but she will only hear me if I click the microphone first (and she has no problem hearing me). Googled this issue and it appears I'm not the only one with this problem and thus far Microsoft Forums have not really come up with a solution for me or anyone else, other than setting up a new account profile which didn't work. They want me to do a repair in place upgrade which means I'll have to reinstall windows 10. This is a windows 10 computer, not an upgrade. Is there any other option? Can you assist? I have RealTek Digital Output.
