Hello all nbsp I've had my Envy t for just under HP Envy Bluetooth to work Intel Can't get - 15t a year now It came with Windows Pro -bit and has been running bluetooth with no issues since new I've recently re-formatted with nbsp the same OS and had no trouble re-installing all but one of the drivers Intel Bluetooth The computer currently recognizes the hardware as 'Generic Bluetooth Adapter' 'Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator' nbsp nbsp The issue I am having is with that setup adding any device which should be 'plug' and play say a bluetooth speaker will result in an unrecognized 'Bluetooth Peripheral Device' The solution I found which worked on a friend's computer was to obtain the bluetooth driver from the laptop manufacturer and install it After the install nbsp everything worked nbsp as it's supposed to and he can stream bluetooth audio with no issues happy days nbsp However on my HP Envy t no nbsp version of Intel's Pro Wireless Bluetooth driver software package will install I always run into the exact same error at the same point during the installation nbsp I have tried getting the software from Intel directly through Intel's upgrade utility directly from HP and through HP Support Assistant all to no avail The error is as follows - There is a problem with this Windows Installer Package A program run as part of the setup did not finish as expected Contact your support personnel or package vendor nbsp When clicking 'OK' the setup 'rolls back' the installation and goes back to square one I have noticed that if I keep the error dialog open and don't allow it to roll back the bluetooth seems to work labelled as 'Intel Bluetooth Adapter' in Device Manager and the device can scan for and find discoverable devices nbsp Has anyone run into this issue or can someone recommend how to proceed Many thankshttp://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Wireless-and-Networking/HP-Envy-15t-Can-t-get-Intel-Bluetooth-to-work/td-p/5716347
I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.
I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.
You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/directdownload.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)
installed intel ac-3160 dual band + blue tooth in a Sony notebook system wont allow blue tooth to start.
also there is no interface available to connect any hardware to it, i know it has something to do with some Vaio software on the system.
it allows me to use dual band mode and it shows that blue tooth is present but disables it claiming interference with 2.4 GHz band.
now i have had blue tooth dongles installed working while using 2.4 GHz band before with no issues, so i don't get the issue now.
any input would be appreciated.
thankx Karl K

Your Specs page doesn't mention Bluetooth:http://support.hp.com/us-en/product/HP-ENVY-m6-Notebook-PC-series/5296045/model/5312255/document/c03489385/ Wouldn't be a first if the Specs are wrong though. When I first got my HP ENVY, back in 2014, I saw in the settings that their was bluetooth available and I thought that it was a cool feature but at the time I didn't have anything bluetooth to connect to it. I was running Windows 8 at that time but when I updated to Windows 8.1 my bluetooth setting was gone. I didn't think anything of it until recently (still running Windows 8.1 because I didn't like the Windows 10 layout) when the only things I have are bluetooth. Wireless bluetooth headphones, speakers, even my phone only transfers data through bluetooth. I was wondering where my bluetooth has gone. It couldn't have just disappeared because it was there when I got the computer. Would upgrading it to Windows 10 help? Do I need to install a driver that might have not been in the Windows 8.1 update? I would like to enjoy this feature so any help would be appreciated.

HP Envy 360 = I changed the batteries in my wireless mouse and had to re-pair it with bluetooth. In doing so, the bluetooth icon disappeared from my task bar. I went in manually through settings and into the devices folder. The bluetooth button is off and when I try to turn on, it will not let me. Under "more bluetooth options", I tried to restore the settings, but I received a message stating the bluetooth device is unplugged. At this time, I am unable to use my mouse.

Hi,I'm experiencing some issues with the detachable keyboard for my HP Envy x2 15. The keyboard connects to the tablet, through Bluetooth connection, but then disconnects almost IMMEDIATELY - I am unable to use the keyboard. Sometimes the keyboard functions when detached from the tablet but only for a few minutes before it disables itself again. My device is under warranty and protected with an HP Care Pack.
@Jas_K, Hello and thanks for posting on the HP support forums. Here is a link that may be of some help to you. It is a link from the forums working with bluetooth issues and Windows 8. bluetooth not working in windows 8 Here is a link to a support article on bluetooth as well. HP PCs - Using Bluetooth Devices (Windows 8) Check the links out and try what they offer. I do believe though in your case because it is making connection and only holding it for a few moments that means the bluetooth communications system in either the main body or the keyboard is in need or repair or replacement. Try hooking up a bluetooth head set and see if it keeps connected if it does then the keyboards bluetooth module is gone. If the bluetooth headset or other bluetooth device does not keep connected to the main body then its bluetooth chip is the issue. Either way you need to send it in. Not much help, but I had to comment. How the heck did they get to install windows 8?
I was using an envy 15 at the time of the release of Windows 8. It just refused to accept an install, stopping halfway with an error . I tried every trick known and, in the end, HP advised that there was no solution and the laptop was incompatible!! I sold the machine finally.

Hello, yesterday when I tried to run my laptop the screen stayed blank and the caps lock was blinking. It blinked 3 times and then had a short paused and continued to blink again. I had access to all of the button and could use FN F5 to turn the keyboard lights on. Thank you!
Hi there @Cryptonix, Before I provide troubleshooting documentation, I would like to take a minute to welcome you to the HP Support Community, where you can ask questions, find solutions and get help from others in the community! You had mentioned the caps lock light blinks 3 times, but nothing appears on the screen. Generally speaking, LEDs blinking 3 times means that the Memory Module is not functional. Please follow the instructions in the Notebook memory failure section to try and resolve the issue. If the Notebook comes back on, please try to do a Hardware Test. HP provides diagnostic software that you can use to test hardware components on your computer; to rule out or confirm hardware failures when something is wrong. Thanks for participating in the HP Forums where we want to help you as well as others who may be wondering what it means when the Caps Lock LED blinks 3 times. Please consider marking the post that resolves your issue as "Accept as Solution" to help other community members! To show appreciation for my efforts kindly click the Thumbs Up below. Thanks. If you require further assistance, I would be more than happy to continue to help you. Please let me know the detailed results of the troubleshooting and your Model Number (How Do I Find My Model Number or Product Number?). Thank you for joining into the HP Support Community!Have a great day!http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Operating-System-and-Recovery/Intel-Envy-Black-Screen/td-p/5594728

Hi, This a peer to peer forum and I don't work for HP so can't comment on some of your queries, however you can use the following method to bypass the oem restriction and install the latest driver directly from Intel as follows. First, download the latest Intel driver for your notebook from the link below and save it to your Downloads folder - you need the second option ( ie win64_154510.4542.zip ). https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26404/Intel-Graphics-Driver-15-45- When done, download and install the .64bit version of 7-Zip on the link below. http://www.7-zip.org/ When you've installed 7-Zip, open your Downloads folder, right click on the win64_154510.4542.zip package, select 7-Zip, select extract files and then click Ok. Cut this newly extracted folder and paste it on your Desktop so it's easy to find. When done, hold down the Windows key and press R Into the Run window, type devmgmt.msc and hit enter. In Device Manager, expand Display adapters, right click the Intel device and select 'Update Driver Software'. In the following window, select 'Browser my computer for driver software' and then select 'Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer'. In the next window, click the 'Have Disk' button and then browse to the extracted Intel win64_154510.4542 folder you pasted on your Desktop. Browse into the sub-folder Graphics, left click on the file igdlh64.INF to highlight it and then click Open. Click on 'Ok' and then click 'Next' and wait for the driver to install. When done, click 'Close' and then click 'Yes' to restart the notebook. Alright guys, I have just refreshed my pc because I was having numerous problems with it and it turned out to be a bad stick of RAM. However, now I am having software issues. Whenever I try to make a call on the desktop version of skype, the program crashes. Whenever I try to open HP support assistant, the program crashes. When i am using the metro app version of skype I get a weird artifacting type problem on any of the buttons. I have this same problem in internet explorer and on Netflix. Netflix will not play on Chrome. It will play on IE, but with the button artifacting problems. My computer will not pair via bluetooth with my phone. What would be your recommended course of action? I have read through the sticky win amd switchable graphics FAQ and I cant seem to get mine working at all I Radeon & HP 4000 7670M Intel envy have a HP envy with a Intel HD onboard and a Radeon HD M Windows bit I purchased my laptop in December and only just found out it Intel 4000 & Radeon 7670M HP envy has never ran on the Radeon M I have tried updating drivers for Radeon m in device manager Still dxdiag display shows intel In catalyst control and Configure switchable graphics all I can do is assign high performance or low performance to exe files If I assign high to dxdiag exe it still does not work I have tried disabling the on board card and dxdiag then shows microsoft basic display driver and then I get a error message after a while saying AMD drivers are not install or running correctly please install I have tried uninstalling from device manager and uninstalling with the AMD driver installation files Rebooted tried installed drivers from AMD and HP and still does not work It seems to have this switchable function that does not work Someone on HP forum said to try the older drivers on the HP site I have done that and still exactly the same issue I have tried installing the Intel drivers as well but still does not work Another suggestion was to go into BIOS and turn switchable graphics to 'fixed' but I don't have that option I updated the BIOS from HP site but still have no option to do that in mine I have tried installing many versions of AMD catalyst as someone who had it said there's shows switchable graphics and then gives them the option for high Intel 4000 & Radeon 7670M HP envy performance GPU or low performance GPU Intel 4000 & Radeon 7670M HP envy and shows you your current GPU that is being used but mine only shows options to assign high or low performance to exe files which if you assign high or low it still uses the on board Intel card I have tried different versions of AMD catalyst drivers and what not and nothing seems to work Please can someone help me with this
uninstalling the drivers wont help because windows will keep finding a new device and load drivers again.
You should disable the built in card either through the bios or in the device manager.., The device manager should be sufficient.
Then install the drivers for the card you want to use...
Acer aspire's Bluetooth doesn't work since I bought it I've installed drivers too but it doesn't work what should I do.
In its specs it has Bluetooth . But there is no Bluetooth device found in device manager how to repair this.

PROBLEM: Can anyone help me find drivers that will maximize performance? I have downgraded my new HP-Envy to avoid Windows 10. Eventually will dual-boot Win 7 and Linux Mint. Have successfully installed Windows 7 (by modifying install.wim and boot.wim to include USB 3.0 drivers). For others, SOLUTION TO "NO INTERNET CONNECTIVITY" = HP.com, http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c02543015 = f12 on my notbook, which controls "Airplane mode" - apparently defaults to "off". My father purchased this computer in August of last year just before the Intel Broadwell Socket 1150 chips (i7 5775C and i5 5675C). This HP computer contains a Z97 chipset which should have support for both of these chips with a BIOS update. However, I have not seen any such BIOS update released from HP other than the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI which I can't get to run on his computer. Will it be safe to drop in one of these processors without a BIOS update and sucessfully run the chip? Thank you.http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Desktop-Hardware-and-Upgrade-Questions/HP-Envy-Phoenix-810-460-K5G86AA-MSI-Kaili2-MS-7826-V2-Intel/td-p/5676716
Hi all. I've tried NUMEROUS way to make any version of the Intel HD Graphics 4000 graphic driver work on this used HP Envy m4-1150la machine that works great under a Windows 10 upgrade (everything else was able to be updated and works flawlessly). I've gone back and forth uninstalled, reinstalling, upgrading, etc etc to no avail. I kee getting a Code 43 from Windows ("Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)". I've attempted to get an answer from Intel and Microsoft about this issue to no avail. Anyone encounter this error, or am I just out of luck and have to look into a new product? Thank you.
Hi: Since I don't know what you have tried, if you have not tried this, give it a shot... Uninstall the graphics adapter (check the uninstall driver box too) and restart the machine so you get the Microsoft Basic Display Adapter to show up under the Display Adapters device manager category. Download and install this free file utility. The second file listed is for 64 bit. http://www.7-zip.org/ Download and save, but do not run this graphics driver file from your notebook's support page. This package provides the driver that enables the IntelHigh-Definition (HD) Graphics in supported notebook models that arerunning a supported operating system. If high-definition multimediainterface (HDMI) video output is supported, this package alsoinstalls the HDMI Audio Driver. File name: sp63753.exe After you download the graphics driver file, right click on it and select 7-Zip from the list of options. Have 7-Zip Extract to: and let it extract the file into its folder name (sp63753). After that is done go to the device manager and click to expand the Display Adapters device category. Click on the Microsoft Basic Display Adapter. Click on the driver tab. Click on Update Driver. Select the Browse my computer for driver software option and browse to the driver folder 7-Zip created. Make sure the Include Subfolders box is checked and see if the driver installs that way. Then restart the PC.http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Video-Display-and-Touch/Intel-hd-graphics-4000-windows-10-driver-for-the-Envy-m4/td-p/5592871

Hi, I have Hp Elitebook 820G3 and I need to create a driver packages for Windows 7 x64 Enterprise. The problem is that I cant install Intel Bluetooth driver on WIn7x64 Ent version. I have tried different driver versions but still same issue.
Please provide the hardware id to provide the right drivers needed. please follow these steps:1. In the Run box type devmgmt.msc.2. Unknown devices would be listed as such and marked out with a yellow question mark.3. Select the unknown device or other device for which you need drivers and right click to access Properties.4. In the Properties window click on Details tab and select Device Instance Id or Hardware ID from the drop down.5. An alphanumeric string like this PCI\VEN_1217&DEV_7130&SUBSYS_012F1025&REV_01\4&6B16D5B&0&33F0 is the identification marker for the device.6. Please provide this number so that we can suggest the appropriate driver.http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Business-Notebooks/Intel-Bluetooth-Driver-issue/td-p/5691522
I have a Toshiba Satellite L745-S4235. I replaced the wlan card with a new Intel 6235 dual band mini pcie card because my router only broadcasts the N band on 5ghz.
The hardware install was a breeze but I am having trouble loading the bluetooth driver. Wifi works perfectly, but I cannot get the bluetooth driver to install / my computer to recognize that I have a bluetooth option!
Could anyone help me with getting a driver that works for Windows 7 Home Premium? My computer did not originally come with a wlan card that had bluetooth so I am not sure if this is even possible but I would think that installing a wlan card with bluetooth should give me this option.
Has anyone else tried installing this card and had problems? Is there a different driver I should try?
Any and all comments are much appreciated!
I've been trying to install the Intel Bluetooth Driver that was recommanded but i didnt realize that i had to remove the old one first. So I'm just confused on what to remove, when i go into Programs i only see a Intel Wireless Driver and a Intel Graphics Driver. I do see Intel (R) Wireless Bluetooth (R) but its doesnt say driver at the end so im just not sure. Is that what i need to remove to install the Update? I really dont know anything much about computers and i just dont want to mess anything up or delete the wrong thing, but id like my computer to up to date.

I installed a new wireless card (Intel 3160) into my HP 8570p laptop. The wireless works great. The bluetooth does not work at all. Won't show up in the device manager. Won't do anything. I was getting an error installing the drivers. Working with Intel support they pointed out that a windows update (KB3161608) causes an error with the drivers. I uninstalled the update and successfully installed the drivers. There was no change. The bluetooth does not show up in device manager. I have an HP ProBook 450 G4, running Windows 10 Pro. I am using a bluetooth Microsoft Sculpt Comfort Mouse. I have set Bluetooth Support Service to start Automatically, but that has not changed the behavior of the device defaulting to disabled. I have also updated the drive for Intel(R) Wireless Bluetooth(R), and it shows that my drive is up to date (Driver version 19.1.1627.3533 dated 7/7/2016. My motherboard has an Intel BT driver but is not certified and therefore not accepted by Windows. (code 52). I followed the advice of "disabling driver signature enforcement" alternatively enabling the option 'ignore' for code signed drivers at User Config/Admin.Template/system/Driver installation.
Nothing works and the device manager still shows the yellow triangle labeled 'Generic Bluetooth Adapter' and under Name: Bluetooth Server and Type: Bluetooth Auxiliary.
Can someone help me to get rid of the yellow triangle - thank you!

Hoping for some assistance Intel Bluetooth Driver is not functioning well when deploying the driver as an app via MDT Task Sequence. I am running into issue when using MDT Lite Touch 2013. Even though I have been able to import this driver as an app the outcome is still not good. I imported it as an appI am using silent syntax "InstMultiPkg.exe" /silentThis installs as a mandatory application for model 840 G3.I can verify the install is successful from my MDT log with return code 0. Once 840 G3 does final restart, i log on, i verify in Device Manager and it says "Generic Bluetooth Adapter". I am not sure what I am missing. I am not sure if there is some dependency of installing some other HP application though I have tried this manually and it works just fine.
I extracted the files and run it as an msi, made an install.cmd with the command. msiexec.exe /i "Intel Bluetooth.msi" REBOOT=REALLYSUPPRESS /qb- Use version 18.1.1508.0538 for our 840 G3 and have it as a package in my customsettings.inihttp://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Business-Notebooks/840G3-Intel-Bluetooth-Driver-Silent-Install-MDT-Not-Working/td-p/5696885
My Intel Centrino dual-function Bluetooth card is built into my GIGABYTE GA-H N-WIFI LGA Intel H motherboard Upon updating all Bluetooth Centrino barely 2230 mic Intel audible, Bluetooth amp Wi-Fi drivers all-in-one card I was able to get my VXi BlueParrot B -XT to connect as a VoIP headset There's one major issue however the input is incredibly distorted and low-level If I yell through the microphone I hear a buzzing noise but otherwise Bluetooth mic barely audible, Intel Centrino 2230 the output from the speakers is virtually silent This is all with the microphone gain maxed out Turning the gain down does nothing but silence the microphone entirely I understand why I tried to talk to Bluetooth mic barely audible, Intel Centrino 2230 my sister over Skype and she said that she heard low-level distortion and nothing else This headset works well with my phone and has no issues pairing with the PC or phone Whatever it is must be in the PC I tried a USB Bluetooth dongle and was able to get great input from the microphone but then the dongle stopped working The adapter simply just quit This was not due to interference Bluetooth mic barely audible, Intel Centrino 2230 from other Bluetooth equipment or software as neither was operational while the dongle was installed I would very much like help with this issue as I purchased the motherboard with the intent to use the on-board Bluetooth and it seems that USB Bluetooth dongles just don't last based on my experience and the experiences of reviewers across the 'net Thank you for any and all assistance with this issue

Hello, Since a few weeks, I haven't been able to use my bluetooth speaker anymore. I used to simply connect (Bluetooth Devices -> My speaker -> Services -> Listen to music) but the "Listen to music" link is now grey and disabled : impossible to click it.I investigated a bit and realized that the "Intel Wireless Bluetooth" driver was not correctly installed. I tried to uninstall, repair, reinstall it, but couldn't do any of these actions, I always got an error message near the end of the installation process.I'm pretty sure this is the problem : I checked the device manager and discovered 16 "Bluetooth Peripheral Device" with a warning icon in the "Other devices" category ... Doesn't look good, right ? Is anyone struggling with the same issues ? Have you found a way to fix it ? Thanks a lot for any help. It would be great if HP included some instructions in their update section to walk us through, step by step, how to install a new driver when the previous one must first be uninstalled. Most updates are just click and download. Nothing else required. But some of us aren't all that comfortable uninstalling drivers and don't know where to begin.
Hi, Thank you for posting. You should not uninstall previous driver prior to updating new one. In Windows 10 you can install updates via Windows Update or Device Manager (preffered method). Here is how >> http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03330139 For non-critical, not so important and other updates, you can also use HP Support Assistant (HPSA) >> http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03467905In HPSA, please skip BIOS/UEFI updates. Hello Sava, go to following link and run the microsoft fixit program on that site and tell it to try and uninstall the intel software. I had exactly the same problem and it managed to uninstall the software (it took several minutes to do it!). I have not yet re-attempted to install Windows 8 yet because it took so long to solve all the issues with incompatible software, however I am optimistic! How to troubleshoot problems when you install or uninstall programs on a Windows-based computer Hope it works for you. martin armstrong, PS I now have Windows 8 installed!http://www.eightforums.com/drivers-hardware/11655-cant-uninstall-intel-r-proset-wireless-software-bluetooth-r-tech.html

Hi, i would like to know if its possible to install a Intel Dual Band Wireless-A?C 7260 Plus Bluetooth or other Wireless-A?C/Bluetooth on my HP Pavilion DV6-7084la. information about my BIOS:Update F.2D Rev. A - 1 de mar. de 2016Nombre de archivo: sp68425.exeDetalles de la versiónFecha de lanzamiento: 26 de ago. de 2014Versión F.2D Rev. A
No. Sorry. That model still has the HP BIOS whitelist which will prevent the laptop from booting if anything other than officially sanctioned wireless cards are installed. None of the approved devices is an ac type receiver. Some are combination wifi/bluetooth. Post back if you are interested in locating and installing one of them.http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Hardware-and-Upgrade-Questions/Installing-Intel-Dual-Band-Wireless-A-C-7260-Plus-Bluetooth/td-p/5607955
I just upgraded my laptop wireless adapter from "Broadcom BCM43142" to "Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 3160 802.11 ac" upon confirmed that the new card is supported from service manual. Both latest Intel wireless and bluetooth drivers are installed (126.96.36.199 and 18.1.1611.3223 respectively). AC connection works perfectly fine; however, the bluetooth seems to be having issue here. For pairing and maintain active connection between bluetooth device and laptop, I have to put them right next to each other literally. Any distance more than 10cm apart, the bluetooth device will be inactive and unusable. I don't have such problem with Broadcom which I can perform pairing and maintain active connection even a meter apart. Does anybody face the same issue before with Intel AC 3160 bluetooth? Or is this a hardware issue with the card itself?
Hi @cfc723, Welcome to the HP Forums! I understand from your posts that you are having an issue with your HP Pavilion 15-p041tx Notebook and the new Wireless card you installed. The only one that was compatible in the service manual for a Intel processor was the Realtek RTL8188EE 802.11 bgn 1x1 Wi-Fi adapter. Here is a link to the service manual. Thanks.http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Hardware-and-Upgrade-Questions/Intel-Dual-Band-Wireless-AC-3160-bluetooth-issue/td-p/5595211

Over the past couple weeks I get a notification to update the Intel 8260/7260 Bluetooth device on my Latitude E5540 from driver updates at Dell (Dell Command Update). The update downloads ok and starts to install, then a black mini window comes up like the old dos window but without a prompt and after a few minutes or secs the installation stops and I get a message saying it failed. This has happened about 3-4 times over the past 2 weeks. Any advice as to what can be done? Thank you.http://en.community.dell.com/support-forums/laptop/f/3518/t/19984884

Hi, While this may well be a hardware issue, it's always worth trying the following. Unplug your USB Keyboard. Open windows Control Panel, open Device Manager, expand Keyboards, right click on Standard PS/2 Keyboard and select Uninstall. When this has completed, shut down the notebook by holding down the left Shift key as you click on Shutdown to temporarily prevent a hybrid boot. When done, unplug the AC Adapter and then remove the battery. Hold down the Power button for 20 seconds. Re-insert the battery and plug in the AC Adapter. Tap away at the esc key as you start the notebook to see if this will launch the Start-up Menu - if it does, select f10 to enter the bios menu. Press f5 to load the defaults ( this is sometimes f9, but the menu at the bottom will show the correct key ), use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and hit enter. Press f10 to save the setting and again use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and hit enter. I have tried to reboot the computer as well as undo the battery. I have even tried to do a system restore and nothing seems to make the keyboard work. The touchpad does not work either unless you plug in a mouse in the usb. I have to use the onscreen keyboard to type in the password and then it goes away. Please help this is very frustrating.. Thanks

MADCONSULTANT Hello;Allow me to welcome you to the HP forums!I read your post about batteries not working and wanted to help. Since this has happened with two different batteries, I would suspect the charger of being faulty. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try: HP Notebook PCs - Using and Testing the AC Power Adapter | HP® Customer Support You can also follow these steps to test the batteries: HP Notebook PCs - Testing and Calibrating the Battery (Windows 8) | HP® Customer Support If both the charger and batteries check out OK, there is some more serious problem with the laptop. Can anybody help me with the following problem ?
I have a HP ENVY 700-301nd with Win 8.1 and a Sennheiser PC 333D G4me usb-headset connected to it.
The audio (music, games) sounds perfectly, but the microphone only seems to give crackling and very distorted noises.
When I plug the headset into my older Win 7 computer, the microphone sounds crystal clear, so it's not broken.
I've been busy for quite a few hours now, but whatever I do...I can't get the microphone to work on the HP ENVY it seems.
Installing the lastest drivers from HP and Sennheiser didn't solve the problem.
So does anybody has a clue what might cause this problem and how to fix it ?
What do you have listed for the Default Recording Device? Stereo Mix should be set as default Recording Device.http://www.eightforums.com/sound-audio/67790-cant-get-usb-headset-microphone-work-hp-envy-700-30-a.html

Hey @jeepinslc, You have come to the right place to ask questions, find solutions and get help from others in the community! I understand that you are having an issue with the Bluetooth on your HP ENVY Notebook - 17t-k200 CTO (ENERGY STAR). Before I provide troubleshooting documentation, I would like to take a minute to welcome you to the HP Support Community, where you can ask questions, find solutions and get help from others in the community! The first document I can provide you with to try and help is called Using Bluetooth Devices. This document may be helpful because it walks you through connecting devices. The second document I found is called Understanding and troubleshooting Bluetooth wireless technology. This document has other helpful information about drivers, making sure everything is Bluetooth enabled, fixing Bluetooth problems, etc. Have you tried in the Device Manager to update the driver that is currently installed? In the device manager try selecting find new hardware. Here is a link from Microsoft called Connect to Bluetooth Devices and a link to the HP Support Assistant if you need it. Just download and run the application and it will help with the software and drivers on your system at the time of purchase or that need updating. If this post helps you to resolve the issue, please pay it forward by clicking "Accept as Solution", to the right of the Thumbs up icon. You can click the thumbs up icon to show gratitude! Please re-post and let me know the detailed results of the troubleshooting steps provided, your Model Number and the answers to the questions above. After upgraded to WIn 10, i think my ADM 7700M driver isn't working anymore as i tried a benchmark and the result on GPU was so low. It turned out that my AMD didn't jump up to the test, the Intel HD was taken care of that instead. Thus i tried to open the catalys and reconfigre again. NOW that i found out there was no more catalys on the control panel, and the two options of Graphic Properties and Configure Switchable Graphic, which i can normally access from the homescreen are longer in use. This said when i click on either of them, there are icon show that the system is processing but after a while it disappears and nothing happen.I tried to reinstall the driver by go directly to AMD homepage and downloaded all the tools, which after a while said that i am all up-to-date but the problems are still unfixed.
I'm having the same issue on my HP Envy 6 with AMD 7670M graphics. Have you found the solution to this? Pleasee tell me if you have. Thank youhttp://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Operating-System-and-Recovery/AMD-HD7700M-Doesn-t-work-or-appear-so-on-HP-Envy-15-3124nr/td-p/5244667
I have an Acer Aspire 5720z, and there is a BlueTooth button on my laptop. When I press it, it says "No BlueTooth Device"
I never really paid any attention to the BlueTooth, but I bought a BlueTooth mouse today, and I cannot get it to work.
There are no BlueTooth things at all on my computer, and When I try to install BlueTooth drivers, it says that I need to enable my BlueTooth but I don't know how!!

Acer laptops dont always come with the bluetooth modules installed, there sometimes sold as 'Bluetooth Ready' meaning you can buy an additional module for it. If you have a look for the exact model number underneath, I'll have a look about for you to see if it comes with one already installed.
Im trying to pair my dualshock 4 controller with my pc and it won't work. I had no issues until I used it with my ps4. It gets detected under the Bluetooth settings as wireless controller When I click pair it does nothing for 10-30 seconds then says "that didn't work"
Sometimes it takes awhile and multiple times to pair and connect.http://www.tenforums.com/drivers-hardware/50523-bluetooth-wont-work.html
My daughter recently gave me her old Palm Treo 650 cellphone. Apparently it is too old to "speak" (sync) with Windows 7 64 bit using their software but it can be done using bluetooth. The phone is bluetooth enabled and has an infared port, but my computer is lacking -- something -- to make the connection...what do I need? a USB dongle-thing? Something else?
Bluetooth is just a connection method. If it can't sync with Windows 7 64-bit using a USB sync cable, that isn't fixed by syncing with Bluetooth. You still need the Palm Desktop software or (maybe?) Outlook (not Windows Mail). If you want to attempt to connect the phone to the computer with Bluetooth, you need a Bluetooth USB dongle for your computer. I've never had much luck with Bluetooth data connections. Given the age of the device, the challenges are magnified.

Hello and welcome.
Well, your English was not that bad. I could still follow you basically.
Since you were able to connect the phone to the USB dongle, (correct?) then that means everything should be alright with the phone.
I believe the first thing you may need to do is click "Add a Device" to let them detect & identify each other. Once there is a profile created, then the next time you want to connect maybe click "Allow a Device to Connect." Try that and see if it works.

Bill_Ving Hello;Allow me to welcome you to the HP forums!I read your post about wireless networking poor performance and wanted to help. My immediate guess is that you might have mixed-mode networking going on. This happens when you have two different PCs networking in two different modes -- one using "G", the other using "N". The wireless router (or access point) can optimize performance for either mode, but not for both. So, the "G" mode drags down the performance of the "N" mode PC, but even worse, with the router set for mixed modes, it performs more slowly than with either PC connected by itself. Here are some other troubleshooting steps you can try: HP PCs - Troubleshooting Wireless Network and Internet (Windows 8) | HP® Customer SupportGood Luck========================================================================I am a volunteer and I do not work for, nor do I represent, HP.---------------------------------------------------------------Please click "Accept As Solution" on the post that solves your issue to help others find the solution. Please click the Thumbs-Up symbol on the left of the Reply button to say thanks fopr my help.========================================================================http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Wireless-and-Networking/ENVY-Notebook-m7-k111dx-w-intel-7260-notebook-sucks-down/td-p/5591130

hi i am using a HP Pavilion dv6838tx Entertainment Notebook PC
i recently downgraded from vista to windows xp profesional sp3
i have managed over time to download and install all other drivers and software that was needed.
now the only thing left is bluetooth.
it is installed in device manager and is marked as working but i can not locate it in my control panel so that i can can make my bluetooth visible to other devices.
in wireless assistant it says that bluetooth is on.
how do i find or fix my bluetooth so that i can connect things to my computer?
I have a CSR bluetooth dongle. It initially worked but has stopped recently. It connects to a Nokia E71 phone.
In my Device Manager there is an entry "CSR Bluetooth Radio" under "Bluetooth radios", and under "Other devices" there are four entries titled "Bluetooth Peripheral Device". Presumably there is no suitable driver.
I applied the update "CSR plc - Audio - Bluetooth Remote Control Device" on the 19.1.10. Maybe this is the source of the problem???
I tried inserting another bluetooth device but have had exactly the same problem with it.
I've managed to connect to my phone with Ubuntu Linux on the same hardware - connected to the same phone.
I've tried setting the phone up as a new bluetooth device with the same result. I've also tried uninstalling all of the bluetooth drivers and reinstalling them - no joy.
Just happened the same to me today... I installed the update:
Cambridge Silicon Radio Limited - Audio, Other hardware - CSR BlueCore Nanosira
I've had this problem for quite a while now and it's starting to drive me crazy My bluetooth devices can't connect to my laptop because it appears as though they can't find it at all The device work doesn't Bluetooth bluetooth speakers was already added and used to work with my laptop and it still works with my phone or other computers without any trouble but my laptop's bluetooth just isn't working I Bluetooth doesn't work can't delete it from my added devices to try and re-add it Worst of all I can't open Bluetooth settings at all Not using Control Panel not using the bluetooth icon not using search just not at all I click it and nothing happens So I've tried to look it up in Services msc to see if it might be disabled but it says it should be running In msconfig it says the Bluetooth service is stopped however Either way I'd love to use my bluetooth devices with my laptop again so if anyone knows how to fix this that would be awesome
Go back to Services and right click on the Bluetooth support service and double click on it.
When the Bluetooth support service properties open look to see what the startup type is, then click on Start in the the Service status.
Hi. I am having a serious problem. My bluetooth doesn't work at all. Wifi works sometimes. I think it does not show some of the available networks. I need a solution to this problem. It will be so much appreciated.

Simple things first, make sure you have software that is compatible with Windows XP, might have to download an update if the product only ships with W2K
