Preferred Solution: New PC build

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/directdownload.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

What is your budget? There are somethings that need to be tweaked, but I need to know your budget before I can proceed.

My win pro build hasn't received the November update build while my other win home versions have I know I'm not the only one having this problem but here's my two cents On my xw I upgraded from win pro to win pro as soon as was available some months ago I still receive other windows updates I downloaded 1511 the 10240 November pro build build received 10 win update hasn't the most recent iso from the media creation tool but I don't have an option to mount it from the right click menu Both sfc and dism have no issues I would burn it do a disk but I've read other users say its just reinstalled build instead I was using another random win pro computer at work today and noticed it hasn't received the November update yet either Anyone else with win pro that did get the update Maybe this issue has more to it like when I upgraded to pro I had an issue with onedrive I don't really use it so I only disabled it from win 10 pro build 10240 hasn't received the November update build 1511 startup in the task manager but it as a service disappeared except for registry entries and program files and win 10 pro build 10240 hasn't received the November update build 1511 I haven't found a way to reinstall it yet I know I could do a clean install of windows but that's not my style I move from pc to pc over the years using disk images win 10 pro build 10240 hasn't received the November update build 1511 This onedrive issue is the only problem I've come across that I haven't figured out without a clean install I mean I wiped onedrive from my system completely registry keys and all but attempts to reinstall fall short error corrupted file During the attempted installation it places all its registry items and files including the file it says is corrupt Copy those files that are working on another computer no dice sfc and dism no issues I'm getting off track I was hoping the November update would fix it but now that's an issue too Maybe Microsoft delayed the November update on win pro Thanks in advance

RE : I downloaded the most recent iso from the media creation tool but I don't have an option to mount it from the right click menu.

Did you burn the iso to a bootable media, then insert the media to the computer ?
If that was what you did, then you would NOT see the Mount option.
Instead, you would see the Setup option. Use that to start the installation.

Can I install Icon Packs designed for Build 7600 to Build 7601?

An Icon Pack was saying install on to 7600 only and after I checked my regedit, I learned that I have 7601 (Probably SP1, I don't know).

Would I have any problems if I install the icon pack?

Thanks.

A:Can I install Icon Packs designed for Build 7600 on to Build 7601?

You can normally install icons anywhere you like, on any machine or system which uses them, they are merely small graphics of various types. Unless the "Icon-pack" is using software to install something else, ( in which case be careful what it does), you can install it anywhere.

Some "Icon-packs" make extensive changes to system files, are dependent on the system to which they are installed, and best avoided.

My current system was upgraded to windows 7 32bit from vista 32bit (I bought the windows 7 home premium upgrade disc when it was first released). I am going to build a complete new system. Can I install windows 7 64bit from the same windows 7 disc? Or do I have to buy a new windows 7 disc? Is there a way around buying a whole new disc?

A:Solved: New computer build work with old build's Windows 7 Disc?

It won't activate and you will end up in Safe Mode permanently. One machne = one license. You need to buy another full version. But you can do it if you don't use 7 on the old machine. You will just have to activate by phone and explain. Then if you go online with both, one will deactivate and go to Safe Mode.

I've been stuck on build 11102.rs1_release.160113-1800.
Going to Settings. Update & Security, Check for updates says "your device is up to date".
Checked for updates at least 10 times and always get the same response "Your device is up to date".

I don't want to download an ISO and clean install - I'd like to get the insider updates through
the standard update process.

Any suggestion or solutions?

Thanks

A:build 11102 will not download latest build 14271

Try this - worked for me in a similar situation.

I deleted all folders in the software distribution folder, selected to leave Insider Program from updates menu, rebooted, rejoined Program and then it found the updates. Try just deleting folders first and checking for updates. That works for some but did not for me (it was the leaving and rejoining that seemed to do the trick).

If you try rejoining and leaving, make an image backup of 11102 first, just in case leaving and rejoining should cause it not to activate (especially if you never started from a valid 7/8 licence). Good idea to make the backup anyway in case the upgrade fails (you would then have to go back to 10586 and start afresh)

Do you have the Razer Synapse software installed? That seems to have been what's caused it for me. Unfortunately I seem no longer to be able to trigger the update, darn it, as Windows now feels it has updated and all's fine (it hasn't).
uninstall the Razer software and try again. Hopefully it hasn't messed you up completely.

Hi All,
I am currently running OS 7 Beta RC Build 7100. Were do I get this newer version, is there a big difference? And am I able to upgrade to the newer Beta?

I realize that October is fast approaching for the RTM but I plan to keep running the Beta for a couple of months past the Grand Opening.

Is it possible that all the updates that I have received equally add up to the newer build?

Windows 7 has reached RTM builds
and there will be several candidate builds in RTM.

first candidate build of RTM is build 7260.

6.1.7260.0.win7_rtm.090612-2110 - RTM branch build

compiled on 12 june.

You may ask why the first assembly win7_rtm has already been collected on 12 June not 15 June. There are several working groups involved in the process of assembling win 7 RTM build and will be assessing the quality of assemblies. Once the assembly is collected and its quality is confirmed, only then they put to the vote.

you may take time to understand all of these steps and procedures, so only the assembly from June 12 and June 15, attained the status of the real candidates for the final RTM release.

Somewhat unusual situation here. A machine running the latest build (11102) got badly infected by malware. It was such a major attack that I was about to reload the earlier day's image from my Windows Home Server. But it seemed even easier to revert to the previous build, not yet removed from the Windows.old folder. This I did, and everything soon was running fine as expected.

The issue is that the Updates check is not offering Build 11102 again. This isn't a showstopper; I'm sure there will be another newer build soon. But it would be nice to be back up on this latest build, just as all my other Win10 machines are running.

Does anyone know how to make this happen?

The new build (7127 is the only new 1 so far) is available on most torrent sites. If you are having no issues with the RC build 7100 then you may not notice any difference, although, 7127 does seem a bit faster.

Good, except for the E6600. Get the E6400 and overclock it (should overclock well with that board and your ram, without blowing up your processor in 3 years). Will save you quite a bit of money that way.

Also just a personal recommendation. Get the Enermax Noisetaker II 485W PSU instead.

I seem to be stuck on Windows Insider build 14342 (Version 1511 OS Build 14342.1002). Since this build was installed, I haven't gotten any other insider builds.
Any ideas on how to fix this? I want to avoid having to reinstall if possible.
Is there a way to manually install build 14352, the one that followed the one I'm stuck on?

A:Not on Insider Build but error message: Your Insider Build Needs Attn

Hello Pkshadow Welcome to the Ten Forums!

The prompting you are seeing is most likely to get you to notice and install updates that have been accumulating. Otherwise that is a strange one. You might have to sign into an MS account if you already had one setup in order to see that account's information updated on the change from Insider to Anniversary. That would then see everything synced properly.

A:Build Update and New Build Help

As you know you'll get some great help here so I'll suggest that he consider an AMD build. For what he wants to do and his budget he can get a very, very nice build especially since he won't be gaming.

Consider the AMD AM3 Propus 620 quad core 2.6 GHz for $99.00 at NewEgg with free shipping and for a few dollars more there is the 630 @ 2.8 Ghz. Both chips are getting great reviews.

Sorry I'm from lithuania and my online shops are lithuanian laguage. But Names of parts is in english

A:Build specs. Can you build it?

The issue I see: your mobo supports "ONLY" 4th gen CPU and your CPU of choice is a 5th gen (gen=generation). Even though the mobo is socket 1150, same as CPU, there may bay some firmware incompatibilities. Not sure if there is a BIOS update for the mobo to support 5th gen CPU's, which I doubt it does.

So you may want to consider a new mobo that supports intel's 5th gen series CPU's. Also; there's no mention of a PSU (power supply). I would also move up to a GTX 970 GPU....it's just a better GPU period.

I just got my income tax return back and now it's time to update my PC. Please bear in mind I'm a newb!

I want to keep the following:

1. Corsair 750W PSU,
2. Antec 1200 case, and
3. EV3A 460GTX 756MB GPU.

In other words I likely need a new motherboard, processor, cooling fan for the processor, RAM, etc. I don't know if I'll need a sound card or ethernet card or if on-board will be good enough. I've heard from a couple friends that Asus Mobos are good. I think I want to go to an Intel processor as that's what I've had to this point and it's done well for me.

What are your thoughts? Where should I start looking?

Thanks

I dont know a lot about computers. My first build is corei7920.what is the best ram for performance? I will be using 6GB but I will not be overclocking.I just want to use the ram as it comes in the package at stock settings.ASUS P6T SE motherboard?GTX 260 graphics, antec 1200 case,300GB velociraptor,windows7 I have read that corei7 can only use ram at 1066 speed w/out o.c.This motherboard can use 1333 ram w/out o.c. I do not mind spending a little extra $ for good ram, but I am confused. Not overclocking because I dont know how yet.I have not bought anything yet.

Type your motherboard into the right places when www.crucial.com comes up. This is a good standard for what you want, then build on that by going to other sites.

Have you scanned for malware lately?

What happens if you start up the machine and leave it idle (without opening any programs or apps) for a while, does the CPU go to 100% then?

Have you added any new software in the past couple of weeks?

Do both cores go to 100%, or is it just one?

Dam this stuff is addictive and costly Its The bug! PC build/mod getting out of control for me now Allow me to go into detail and please feel free to add your stories Started off a few months ago buying a ready built cheapo PC was the spec was Windows bit best bit on it lol gig drive gig ram celeron dual core onboard graphics etc very low spec st I decided to change the memory to gigs of OCZ titanium and the ball is rolling Next was the processor Q bargain at delivery and an Artic cooler to go with it Then a psu Then a Powercolor HD for Then a new motherboard as I found the original wouldnt allow me to overclock Was cheap as it was still a MATX Then I decided the case was to small for everything so got a cheap new mid tower So the only thing left from the original PC is the HDD and the CD drive and card reader Then I needed a decent monitor so got a nice LG quot LED Then I just picked up a quot HP monitor for dual monitor lol dirt cheap at Total spent so far this year around - So thats how it stands however I now totally want a SSD so that will be next month recon gb OCZ Vertex for ish And then just when you think hmm that should do I will want to switch to the I DDR set up so that will be another down the drain before the end of the year pmsl Like I say its so addictive but I just can't stop Paul

A:The PC build/mod bug!

Hmm, if only you had waited for all of the back to school specials that these online sites offer. One I found at newegg.com is an i7 with a nice X58 MB and pretty nice kit in all facets.
Newegg.com - Computer Parts, PC Components, Laptop Computers, LED LCD TV, Digital Cameras and more!
6gig of DDR3 RAM, coolermaster case, i7 T930 is one of the best rated of the lot. X58 board is sweet, but it is the A version not the D, A version is better from what I have read from reviewers.
This chip makes OCer's drool, it will upclock to 4.0 from 2.8 from what I have read, I wish I had the expendable cash to own one to see.
I am upgrading my kit this summer, but will hang in a few weeks longer to see if they drop the prices even lower. Back to school does not end just because the school opens, it takes a few weeks after that before they stop the deals.

Alright, like many other posts, I am looking into constructing a new PC. My current build, while not all that outdated, needs to be improved and I want to be ready for future developments.

I have focused on the AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ because it seems to be the most cost effective. I want to group it with an ASUS A8N32-SLI Deluxe mobo, and grab an Asus extreme 7800gt/2dHtv(256mb) pci-express graphics card. I am concerned with the cooling and powering of this monster though. What kind of power supply voltage/current should I be looking for, and any special cooling techniques?

From the other posts I have read through, this seems to be the most recommended setup for building on a loose budget. (though the graphics card came across a bit extensive, any other suggestions?) The purpose of the computer is for daily use, nothing very extensive, geared toward gaming.

Thanks for any input!

A:New PC build

If it's not for games don't get an SLI board and don't get a 7800GT. You could get something like a 6800GS or event a 6600GT and be fine with games.

For a PSU, Antec or Seasonic are good choices. The PSU will last a while so it's a good idea to spend a little extra on that.

Hi guys me seeking for help again Sadly my PC got fried I don t know if it was the power source or what it was but I sent it to a technician To or build, to build? not who s a friend of my dad and he said that the video card and some capacitors of the motherboard So my problem is My video To build, or not to build? card was an AGP GeForce GS It would be very hard to find capacitors working with ASUS here on Argentina So basically I need a new motherboard and a new videocard Thing is that since I m going to need a new video card I don t want to buy an old thing And for that I need a new motherboard since my old and broken one only supports AGP I would need new RAM since my old ram was DDR and modern motherboards use DDR I still have to check if my processor is compatible with new motherboards Prescot P GHz but I need to be ready for the worst So what I need to know in case of my processor not being compatible is what would be cheapier To buy a prebuilt computer or to buy the components and build it myself I m not a huge gamer since my economic position doesn t allow me to but I d like to be able to run smoothly the latest games just to let you know what kind of thing I d need Thank you very much nbsp

A:To build, or not to build?

If your PC got fried, that's propably because of your power supply, it was the thing to break the other parts. So, you'd need: new PSU, mobo, graphics card and RAM. Also if you don't have a Windows CD, you'll need a new one. I have no idea of the prices in Argentina, so I can't really tell if it's worth it or not, but in 95% of the cases I would build my own, just because I'd get exactly what I want that way.
For example this motherboard supports your CPU: http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Support/Motherboard/CPUSupport_Model.aspx?ProductID=2745 and add this RAM to it: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145184 and this graphics card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102792 and this PSU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817341010

I have been putting together a new build for some time now (I have made posts before as well). And I have come down to my last parts list. I have spent weeks putting this together, so tell me what you think. I am also on a budget (~$450) so I am scavenging my old computer as well. I will also add on to this (better GPU, more RAM, etc.)

Case: Cooler Master HAF 912
MB: ASUS M5A97
CPU: AMD FX-8120 Zambezi
RAM: Pareema 8Gb (2 x 4GB) DDR3 SDRAM 1600 Mhz
GPU: gforce gt430
HDD: 500Gb 7200RPM
Disk drive: Multi x24
CPU cooler: Hyper 212 + w/ extra fan
Additional Case Fans: x3 Rosewill RFA-120K 120mm case fan

I would lover input on how I could save money on the existing parts, so I can use that money for a better GPU in the future. I also plan on getting more RAM in the future as well.

Thanks for your input!

That's going to be a real issue, your budget for a gaming system. As gaming rigs use high end quality components.....and those are not cheap. This is because of the loads/demands that the games have these days so you need superior/high quality hardware.

Hello and welcome to Techspot!

If you are determined to build a system around an AGP card, then I'd recommend this board to you:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813157081

This way in a year or so when you want to upgrade your graphics, you won't be kicking yourself for not having a PCI-express slot.

This motherboard has both an AGP slot and a PCI-express slot. It also claims to be AM2 compatible!

The 570 is basically the 480 with slightly improved clocks, I believe, and some fixing with the heat issues. It's also 1.5 times the price for a not particularly significant perfomance gain.

I'm a bit dubious about getting a 170 motherboard. Anything more than ~100 on a motherboard seems a little bit overkill to me.

Looks like a fantastic gaming system. You should be able to run all games on high settings with that monster.

The only thing I personally would change is the CPU. You happen to be ordering the one I have, and don't get me wrong, it is an amazing CPU. Very fast, and very overclockable.

But I bought mine 7 or 8 months ago. If I was buying now, I'd go dual core. If you are an overclocker get yourself a nice Opteron (dual core). Just something to think about.

The big Red Flag for me is that power supply. Its garbage. I don't know anything about case but the rest are solid parts. You don't mention what video card you'll be running but spend the cash on a good psu. You're only asking for headaches otherwise.

that explains how to build your own NAS storage system using the Free BSD NAS. I have followed the procedure as outlined in the link above, created the iso cd using the iso recording utility. Thinks are coming along well up to a point. My old computer has three hard drives a CDROM, no operating system. The above process using the .iso file downloaded should run the system from memory.

My hang up is that I cannot find a way to contact the designer directly they refer to a forum that will answer my questions but no one has responded to my questions. When I start up the old pc it looks like it is going to setup as adverstised, however it gets to a point where the program is expecting a reply from the "server" I am suspecting it is looking for an IP address. I use a 4 port Linksys router that serves three computers and a wireless access point for my laptop.

Does anyone have any experience with this process? I have lots of hard drives containng lots of storage is my reason.

If you can't find any help with FREENAS (I have no experience in this), you might want to check out the NAS called AMAHI....

Amahi Home Server - Making Home Networking Simple (version 6) - you can also look for and download version 5 which is totally free - version 6 is basically free but the apps start to incur a cost).

My friend put windows 7 on it for me and he couldn't install all of the drivers because we didn't have internet at the time and place of the build. So I was just wondering where I can find the driver I need to install, to get my hard drive connected. Thanks.

So I posted here to make a PC a few months ago. I changed my mind as a few things came up that changed my budget plans. I find myself in a situation where I once again have extra money and am ready to get a computer.

What I'm looking to do is

-audio/video editing
-general browsing
-500-800$ budget.

I've looked into stores like Best Buy but everybody tells me it's not a good idea, so I was hoping you guys could help me put one together in that range.

A:Looking to build a PC

Does that price come with peripherals, OS, monitor...
How much storage do you need? Do you want a sound card? What about GPU rendering support?

SAMSUNG Spinpoint F3 HD103SJ 1TB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive
AMD Phenom II X6 1055T Thuban 2.8GHz 6 x 512KB L2 Cache 6MB L3 Cache Socket AM3 125W Six-Core Desktop Processor HDT55TFBGRBOX
OCZ Reaper HPC Edition 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Low Voltage Desktop Memory Model OCZ3RPR1600C8LV4GK
ASUS M4A88T-M/USB3 AM3 AMD 880G HDMI USB 3.0 Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
Antec EarthWatts Green EA-380D Green 380W Continuous power ATX12V v2.3 / EPS12V 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply
ASUS Black 24X DVD+R 8X DVD+RW 12X DVD+R DL 24X DVD-R 6X DVD-RW 12X DVD-RAM 16X DVD-ROM 48X CD-R 32X CD-RW 48X CD-ROM 2MB Cache SATA 24X DVD Burner - Bulk - OEM

That adds up to about $500USD, then you can pick whatever case.
Adding in a discrete GPU would cost a bit more, depending on the GPU obviously.

Im really not sure what graphics card to buy though.. coming from the old world of agp!!

I got around 150 pounds to spend (250 dollars??)
Any suggestions on a good one in that price range would be great. Ive had a look around but am confused as to which is best.

Is this any good?

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260 or an similar spec ati?

A:First build, what GPU?

yes you want to buy the GTX 260, be sure to buy the 55nm and not the 65nm they have the same name. so check the manufacture date.

you can save a little money and loose a little performance with the equivalent Readeon

Lets see...

Get one GeForce 8800GT instead of two 8600GTs in SLI. You will get better performance with one 8800GT. They run at about $270 on NewEgg.

Use a 64-bit OS. 32-bit operating systems can only address 3.2 gigs of memory AT MOST. I can only use 2.5 gigs max. You will need a 64-bit OS if you want to use all four gigs of RAM.

Also, you may want to consider a separate cooler for your CPU. My Athlon 6000+ got so hot with the stock hsf that it shut itself down. The 6400+ is just a 6000+ overclocked another 200MHz.

Hello and welcome to the forums.

I would recommend getting a bigger 7,200rpm hard drive. If you are going to be gaming and editing video, you are going to use a fair amount of drive space and you will fill up both drives quickly. Also, what types of games will you be playing?

Willing to know this cos best for me is still RC 7100 x64, and like I comment in one thread of drivers I think is due to intel chipset drivers, on 7100 all are installed but in others builds just 3 or 4, and using those microsoft default, things don?t work fine on my rig.

A:So, best build for you is?

I'm sitting at 7229 waiting for RTM. It is stable.

Hello everyone,
I have assembled a new PC.
Everything working fine, I clean installed windows 10.

Did I miss something while assembling the PC?

A:NEW PC Build

Mine usually takes the length of time it takes me to draw the curtains in the morning. Have you gone through the BIOS settings to see if theres any optimisations you can do? I assume AHCI is enabled.

Hi all,

I'm just prepping things for a re-build and thought I'd just ask the question,

Has anyone re-built using 7100 RC build and had any probs advice in carying it out? I have some issues creep into my build and want to see if a fresh build will solve those problems.

I have not yet purchased win 7 but have a valid download of the 7100 rc client that I believe is still curent until June of this year (at which point i'll be grabbing a retail version).

I have everything backed up and copies of all drivers etc etc.

cheers!

Hi,

Do you mean about upgrading from 7100 RC to another build ?

A:PC build Help!

4-4-4-11 isn't a good rating, but for that speed of the RAM, it is fine. You're gonna need some major fans in that system to cool off the processor, gfx card and the RAM. Also, you might want a little more power, that is the minumun wattage recommended for your gfx card, so get something with a little more kick. Other than that, I think you're good to go, tell us the outcome!

A:need help with new build

Does the drive show up in BIOS Setup? If it's a SATA drive, does it require drivers that Windows 7 does not have (unlikely but something to think about).

What happens if you boot the Win 7 DVD to the Recovery Console? Can you see the drive there?

I have a nice little build at PC Parts Picker. I built one at Micro Center(20miutes away) o.l. but they removed it. Don't know why.
Anyway, would you go to MC or go through PCPP?
I guess I am referring to shipping, prices, returns and trouble.
Thanks

A:New build

Your "stuff" is compatible, but...
any hardware defect can cause the problem... memory, video card... as you know.
The motherboard is pretty easy to setup, but I would carefully go through the manual to see what you have missed.
Have you tried booting to SAFE MODE?
I would borrow any other known working video graphics card... even PCI... to see if video is working, then boot in safe mode.
I suspect your video graphics setup... cable etc.... Look up the video card on the website, and go through the check list.

A:First build!

Making this quick now: Get a case with a bit better airflow. 125W CPUs generate quite much heat. Antec 300 Might also want to take this PSU on a 20 $ discount with it: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817103940 (uh-oh, deal ends 25th)
Also, OCZ doesn't offer guaranteedly compatible RAM like Corsair, Kingston and Crucial do. Might want to get a motherboard that supports one of their RAM kits, and save yourself from headaches. Like: This motherboard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128081 (27$ off with a combo deal of the CPU you previously linked), this RAM: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145197, and add a video card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102757 (it's a bit better than the one that was integrated to the other mobo, bit better FPS in games, nicer to play) In total, I think these changes make your computer cost about the same(maybe 10$ difference either way), and better.

Build ext HD

I have a 30 GB HD in my Toshiba M35X laptop but would like to have access to my desktop HD so I would like to be able to carry an additional HD when necessary with all my desktop files and folders.

I have USB2 and IEEE 1394 ports available.

Which port would be better and is there anything special I should know re: building the ext HD?

So i built a pc nd i got the parts connected and stuff but now i want to know whats the next step, should i go to the bios and what should i change there i'll need every little detail like partitioning e.t.c. Just everything really

A:First PC build

I'm assuming you've just put the parts in place. The next step is installing the OS. You need not tinker around with the BIOS unless you specifically need to change any options such as setting the HDD mode to AHCI for SATA drives, setting default video to PCI-E in case of a discrete GPU, etc.

Depending on which OS you're installing just follow all the on-screen instructions that appear.

I have recently decided that my current machine has reached the end of its life as far as gaming goes and have decided to buy a new rig. I don't want to spend more then about 800$ and I don't need a monitor. I have this machine picked out along with this card and these sticks of ram.
Could you guys please confirm that these are 100% compatible and recommend a good power supply that will work with this cases form factor.
Thanks very much for the help.

I'd start with a better system with a newer cpu. I don't know about the upgrade options you'd have with an emachine, but you may be disappointed.

I'm not a gamer, but might be in the future.

The prices are about the same ( within $100 - to pay to have the bare bones one put together and get OS) but I think it has better components and the case seems to be better suited to upgrades.

Any advice greatly appreciated.
