I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/directdownload.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Manually started the update by clicking on learn more in updates.
Process started. Computer was checked by update software and the started download.
Download completed and the started running...
Up came an error box stopping the update due to a 0x80070057 error.

Any directions as to how can get around this?
Many thanks,

So I am having issues updating my Windows 7.
Whenever I try to manually update it gives me an error where it says
"Windows update cannot currently check for updates because the service is not running."

I tried to troubleshoot Windows update and it came with a few errors unfixed.
"Problems installing recent updates"

Hi,
Have you hidden the updates you posted ?
If so unhide them
Windows will search for updates doing so might help a little
If you've hidden any Important updates like kb3112343 windows might throw a fit

Use winkey+R
Type in the Run box,
eventvwr
Windows logs on the left column and expanded them and right click and click on clear on the 4 entries below,
Applications
Security
Setup
System
Exit and restart the machine again

Download the newest update client if you haven't already

First of all - welcome to BC !

It is always a help if, when you have a problem like this, you give the make and model of the computer involved or, if you built it yourself, the main component specs, and which flavour of operating system you are using.

If this problem is of fairly recent origin, the simplest cure is to try a Restore, to take you back to a point in time before the problem started. If you have never done this before :-

Click on 'Start - Control panel - Recovery'. This will open the System restore dialogue. You will see a large button 'Open system restore', click on this. After a few seconds you will see a box with a 'Next' button, click this, and you will come to the screen where you choose which restore point you wish to use. Very often you will only be offered one choice, the latest restore point. If this predates the start of your problem, select it and click 'Next' and continue with the restore process.

If this restore point does NOT precede the time the problem started, there is a button on the left hand side to show more restore points. Click on this and choose an appropriate one, then click 'Next' and carry on as before. Once the restore starts it will take a few minutes, and when it has finished it may ask you to re-boot. Re-boot anyway.

While this process does not affect your data, only the operating system, it is always a good idea to back up your data before doing any operation like this. Once it is completed, you will need to re-install any updates from the date you restored to to present. It is a good idea to install these one at a time, then if it turns out that one of them created the problem, you know which it is and can uninstall it.

Hi,

My son's Toshilba Satellite L50-B-1DV hasn't successfully run a Windows Update since last October - I only discovered this yesterday.

When I had a closer look the updates, and just about every kind of troubleshooting I try, is failing with the error message "0x80070057". I've rooted around online but can't see any obvious fixes.

We'd prefer to fix this ourselves but as the machine is only six months our next step is to take it back to John Lewis for repair - which would be a pity as he uses his laptop every day.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!

Mark

A:Satellite L50-B-1DV Win8.1 - Windows Update Error Message 0x80070057

Hi

You have mentioned the error 0x80070057 while update installation.
This error occurs due to multiple reasons and therefore it?s not easy to say why this happens exactly. But the most common cause could be the missconfigured registry or damaged system reserved partition.

My recommendation for workaround:
Try to repair the system and the registry using CCLeaner. You could use this freeware software for registry cleaning as well as to remove the ?system garabage?.

If this does not help, try to repair the OS using the system?s own options.
The "Automatic Repair" option attempts automatically to diagnose and fix problems that may cause Windows 8 not to start or having a different wrong behavior.
Automatic Repair will start automatically when Windows is unable to start properly. If it detects any problems, it will automatically attempt to fix it but it can also be started manually.

Access to Automatic Repair can be found on the Windows 8 start screen. Now "Advanced" in the search box. When the search results appears click on the "Settings" category.

Now click on the option "Advanced startup options" and you will see the "General PC Settings screen". Look for the option "Advanced startup". Click on the restart now button and Windows 8 will restart your computer to access directly the Advanced startup menu.

Click on the "Troubleshoot" button and then the "Advanced options" button. Click on the "Automatic Repair" option. Your computer will now reboot and Windows is preparing the Automatic Repair. When it is done, you have to log in to an Administrator account.

Click on the "Continue" button to continue with the Automatic Repair. Automatic Repair will now start and attempt to diagnose the problem with your computer.

During the Automatic Repair process your computer may reboot. This is normal behavior. Once the Automatic Repair process has completed it will report if it was able to repair anything. If not you will be shown a prompt asking if you wish to shutdown or use some other tools.

If your computer is still unable to start, you should click on the "Advanced options" button, then select "Troubleshoot" and finally "Advanced options". For a failed automatic repair please try the integrated Windows "System restore" by using the recovery media or the "Reset" option.

Hello, I'm new on this forum.

I ran Windows Update Troubleshooter on my mom's laptop. It found 2 problems and said they are fixed. But everytime i run the troubleshooter, those 2 problems are found and fixed. So those fixes does not seem to be permanent, and are only "fixed" when running the troubleshooter. Is this kind of behavier normal? Update seems to work fine though, except being somewhat slow checking updates.

The laptop had some general performance problems and troubleshooting WU was part of troubleshooting them.

Also, is Microsoft Fixit (WindowsUpdateDiagnostic.diagcab) similar to Windows build-in WU Troubleshooter or can it do better job fixing problems?

I successfully manually installed update KB2810009 (Belarc Advisor reports no missing updates), I did so because Windows Update reported a failed install. Probelm is that now Windows Update will report this update as missing each time I check for updates. If I let Windows install it, it will fail to install keeping the issue forever. Any fix? Thanks.

Hi folks I have been pulling my hair out trying various options found on the net to get my Windows Update and Network Trouble shooter working. It either just hangs up trying to start or it comes up and says service not turned on. I have checked and the service is in fact turned on. Only change I made recently was an upgrade from a 300 gb hard drive to a 1 TB hard drive. I cloned my old drive and made a partition same size as the old drive then had the rest of the drive partioned off as a separate drive letter which seems to work fine except for the problem with windows update and network troubleshooter not working. I have an ASus Laptop with pentium dual core processor and 3 gb of ram windows 7 home premium 64 bit using Google Chrome browser. Does anyone have a sure fire cure for this problem. Thanks Much

I have an ASus Laptop with pentium dual core processor and 3 gb of ram windows 7 home premium 64 bit using Google Chrome browser. Does anyone have a sure fire cure for this problem. Thanks Much

Bob H.

Recently I have ran into some trouble with certain aspects of Windows 7. My problems can be best described by the 4 images attached.

So, where should I begin?

A:Windows 7 Errors: Defender, Update, Troubleshooter, and .NET Framework

With problems like this always assume a potential virus
If you can run a full anti virus scan
run a scan with malwarebytes and then run a scan with eset online.
If these are negative we are pretty sure it is not a virus, but not 100% certain.

See if you can go back a week before the problem with system restore.

Hi guys!

I have a big problem with Windows Update
0x80070057(2015-11-15-T-12_56_47)

I never would like to upgrade to win10, for many reason, but it happened
I stopped the update, or probably it will never be possible due to obsolete hardware... I delete all files downloaded with Disk Cleanup

WU is stuck asking me to reboot, always
I tried to run Diagnostic
I tried sfc /scannow (no errors)
I tried the script Reset_Windows_Update_Full
p.s.
I hate MS!!! Really...

I purchased a new notebook with Windows 7 in October. During the first weeks I uninstalled McAfee and replaced the harddrive. Since November Windows Update fails with error messages and defender does not start anymore. I made several virus scans (complete) with multiple antivirus programs but nothing showed up.Since it took my days to install various software, I do not want to re-install W7. I also have no good backup that I could restore. I am really surprised that there is not even a single entry regarding the error code in the Microsoft Knowledge base or elsewhere.I really would appreciate help.

Got it !!!!
If You are using notebooks with with hard drive larger than 700 GB you probably should update Intel Rapid Storage Technology Driver.

A:Windows Update always hangs when attempting to update.

Make sure, that you have those services running, if not try to start them to see, if they fail to start:

COM+ Event System
Cryptographic Services
DHCP Client
Background Intelligent Transfer Service
Network Location Awareness
Network Store Interface Service
Windows Management Instrumentation
Windows Update

In the most cases it is Background Intelligent Transfer Service, which will fail to start.
Windows Update fix will not fix it, because the dependant services are not listed properly.

Hello,

I have Windows 7, 64bit. I had it set to manual update. I had not used the this particular machine in a while so I ended up with 88 new updates to go through. It was able to do two updates successfully but it now hangs for the remaining updates at %0. Fix It didn't find anything wrong. I was hoping to take advantage of the free Windows 10 upgrade but seems like the pending updates must occur first.

Thank you in advance for your help.

When I try to install KB3182373, a "Security Update for Microsoft Silverlight", Windows Update reports failure with the message "Code 643 Windows Update encountered an unknown error".
I ran WindowsUpdateDiagnostic.diagcab. It reported that "Troubleshooting couldn't identify the problem".
What can I do to fix this? I'm running Windows 7 Professional.

About 2-3 days ago, I downloaded the windows 7 64 bit updates. After the re-boot, some of my programs I use kept asking "do you want to change your system", or something like that. I never got that before because I loaded these programs myself.
Today, 12/12, I received one new update to MS windows 7 that took about 10 minutes to download and install. I re-booted, and now everything is fine. I think MS forgot, or coded the update wrong.
Does anyone know what happened, or did anyone experience this same problem? I have a Dell XPS.
Thanks

A:Windows Update reports NO updates?!

Your computer specifications tell me that SP2 is installed and you said in your last post = when I had trouble installing the Windows XP Home SP2 update, that I just said "to =^(*^)(&% with it".

Question is was SP2 fully installed?

The other thing that makes me wonder is the thing about the other 50 or so updates that do not show installed in Belarc. I would like you to download this update for Belarc and install it and rerun it.

Hi,

Try to remove the proxy server entry from the WinHTTP proxy configuration for Windows 7:

1.
Click Start, and then type cmd in the Start programs and files box.
2.
Right-click cmd.exe in the Programs list, and then click Run as administrator.
Note If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or click Continue.
3.
Type the following command and then press Enter:
netsh winhttp show proxy
Note The proxy setting is listed next to Proxy Server. If there is no proxy server, Direct Access <no proxy server> is shown in the Command Prompt window.
4.
To remove the listed proxy setting, type the following command and then press Enter:

netsh winhttp reset proxy
5.
Click Start, click All Programs, click Windows Update, and then try to download and install updates again.Alex Zhaozx

Like many users I suffered these issues: high CPU and RAM usage by svchost.exe, hours of checking windows updates and being stuck while downloading them.
After weeks of trying solutions I've found this one that worked.

Here's what I did:
- stopped WinUpdate service and installed KB3138612 OFFLINE
- rebooted
- stopped WinUpade again and installed KB3145739 and KB3153199, both OFFLINE
- rebooted

Then I checked for new updates and it took just about 10 mins.
Downloading new updates went right away and no more high CPU and RAM usage by svchost.
It's been 5 days now and so far problems are gone.

Hopefully this might help.

As my hard disk has been dropping for no apparent reason I tried Disk cleanup which reported I could remove 10.4Gb(!) of Windows update files.
I am delighted to reclaim the space but can't believe the amount of files.
Curious if anyone has any views on how I could accumulate so much.
I use Windows 7 and, to the best of my knowledge have avoided downloading Windows 10. Updates are set to let me choose whether to download and install. I also check what any updates other than security are for, and if any Windows 10 element involved, refuse and hide them.

Whenever I click "Check for Updates" in the Windows 7 update dialog, the scanning bar moves and moves, but it never passes this step. In eventvwr, there's an error with description:

"Insufficient system resources exist to complete the requested service."

Windows updates never install. This is my laptop in my signature, so system resources shouldn't be a problem, what with 3 GB ram available, core2duo, etc. Any ideas on what I can do to fix this?

Thank you!

We couldn't install Windows 10
0xC1900101 - 0x40017
We've set you PC back to where it was right before you started installing Windows 10
The installation failed in the SECOND_BOOT phase with an error during BOOT operation
What was tried: Connected straight to ethernet, Turned off wireless and Defender A/V, Removing the D/L files, D/L fresh from ISO file, launched install file, went through approx 50% and PC rebooted - nor stuck on black screen with swirling dots for OVER 4 hours with a brief HD access every couple of seconds.
Rebooted again -- still swirling dots on black screen. Tried again, same results.
Rebooted with F8 to get original Win 10 back.
Turned on "metered connection" option for WLAN to stop this update from happening. But now I cannot get and security updates for this machine.
Please suspend this D/L until fixed. Cannot afford to have no protection!

Hey all,

So I am currently reinstalling Windows on my dad's old laptop after the hard drive decided up die on us, and I stumbled on a problem that's a bit too hard for me to fix.

Namely, I am completely unable to install any Windows Update. Not even MSE will install.

I tried running SURT, but got error code 0x8000247
I also tried running SFC /SCANNOW, it ran the verification fase until 98% and then stated that there where unfixable problems.

The displayed error codes are:
In WU: "8024A000"
In SURT: "0x8000247"
Whilst installing MSE: "0x80070643".

Attached you will find CBS.log and MSINFO with my system specs.
Cheers and many thanks in advance,
Nommy

CBS.log MSINFO32.nfo

A:Windows Update error code 8024A000; unable to install any update.

That's very reminiscent of similar errors in Win7 - and I wouldn't be surprised to see it being non-genuine.
Please post an MGADiag report BEFORE doing the below potential fixes.

This may simply be caused by a bad set of Intel Storage Matrix Technology drivers -

Installing the Intel Drivers
try downloading and installing them from here -
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Det...&DwnldID=17882

(IATA89ENU.exe)

Once complete, please reboot twice, then post another MGADiag report.

If nothing has changed, try this...

Please run the following commands in an Elevated Command Prompt

NET STOP CRYPTSVC
REN C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CATROOT2 CATROOT2OLD
NET START CRYPTSVC

once complete, leave the system alone for at least an hour to rebuild the database, then reboot, and run another MGADiag report and post the results.

If neither of them work, we'll re-evaluate.

Hello,

I recieve error C80003FA whenever I do a Windows Update run. It doesn't get past the stage of checking for updates.

I've tried several fixes including:
- Waiting 15 minutes and running Windows Update again.
- Letting Windows Update run on its own schedule.
- SFC /Scannow
- Renaming the Catroot2 Folder.
- Running 3 different Fixit tools.
- Clean windows install.

After each and every one of those fixes I've tried windows update and I still get error C80003FA.

SFC Scannow has previously said no errors, but the last run through it said there were unfixable errors. I've got the log, though for brevity's sake I will keep it until someone asks for it.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Clean windows install doesn't fix it? You must be blocked, maybe your firewall???

Hey,

I'm trying to install update KB976932 (Windows Service pack 1 for 64bit) and KB982526 (Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1) but I keep getting error 800b100 which stops me from doing so.

I've tried deactivating my firewall; manually installing from the microsoft website; and using the system readiness tool but I keep getting the same error

I've attached log files and I believe some files are corrupt. How can I replace them?
Can anyone please help me out?

Thanks.

Hello,
First, excuse my english, I'm trying my best.

I get error C80003FA whenever I do a Windows Update run.

I did the Windows Update Posting instructions. When I did the SURT installation, it didn't finish and I had to reboot the PC. Then it work.

I've tried sfc /scannow several times before with different results: sometimes finished with no errors, sometimes finish with unfixable errors and sometimes didn't finish at all.

I uploaded the CBS.zip

Hope you can help me, thanks.

There are no errors in any of the posted logs
Please post the C:\WIndows\windowsupdate.log file.

Please also post the event logs...

Open Event Viewer
click on the Windows logs entry in the left pane to expand it.
Now click on the Application entry - wait while it loads.
Click on 'File' in the menu bar and select Save...

Save the file as Appevt.evtx

Repeat for the System log

then zip both, and upload them.

Hi Mookeylee & welcome to Sevenforums.

Hello dylan151 to TSF,

Looking at those two screenshots, you are doing a new installation of the Windows? 7 Operating System, correct?

If so, and after the length of time you have waited, it looks as though the installation is corrupt.
With a new installation, you must format thew Hard Drive Partition before you start the installation.
I would recommend that you abort this current installation, and start again, after you format the drive.
Having said that, if you are Upgrading to Windows? 7, what Operating System is already installed on the computer?
Please answer these queries.

Kind Regards,

The automatic windows update is stuck at 89% and doesn't update. I tried turning automatic update on and off, rebooted, went to the windows update site itself and it still doesn't work.

With windows update, it shows the progress bar full and says it is installing but it doesn't do anything.

How do I get it to finish updating or delete the update and restart it?

I'm using winxp home.

Hi. Hopefully someone has experienced this and can help. It seems that it is a common problem the past 3 months. I have the Vista OS 32 bit.

My CPU started running very hot on Tuesday. Fan working hard continuous, caused by svchost.exe (Net Services) at a steady 49-51%. Turns out that the system was checking for the Tuesday updates. It took 24 hours! So Wednesday afternoon the computer was calm. Today the problem has returned, undoubtedly because I have the icon to install the updates. I clicked "install", and it hangs on "Downloading Updates, 0kb, 0%". This is 2 hours now.

This happened to a lesser degree to me last month as well on Patch Tuesday, so there is clearly something not right about Windows Update that is heating up my CPU. Please help if you have experienced the same and know the resolution. Thank you!

I  refreshed my g4 pavilion. afterwards when I restarted it did an our long update. when it got to "configuring updates" it stopped indefinately at 12%.  I have repeted the whole proccess several times and the same thing happens. I read that it coulkd be my antivirus causing the problem. But I can't disable it because when I start the computer it gos into the configure updates mode and hangs again. I can not seem to get it to start in safe mode either.  I can get to the troble shoot menue though by using f11.  However none of the truble shooting options seem to solve the problem.

A:windows 8 update hangs at 12%

If you are trying to boot into Safe Mode you need to know that this isn't possible with Windows 8/8.1 without setting it up to boot into it.  This requires being booted into Windows.  Windows boots so fast that the F8 technique can't work.

I had a similar experience doing a refresh and wound up having to reinstall Windows.

Whenever I stop the "preparing to install" and come back and use "windows update" again the computer goes directly back in the "preparing to install" mode. What am I doiinng wrong?

A:Windows Update hangs up

You can try to backstep to a time when things were working normally through a general system restore or specifically by uninstalling and reapplying updates as far back as need be.

Since i've finally got rid of a trojan preventing me from using windows update, I still can't use it. My problem is, that whenever I choose the Express or Custom options in windows update I can't get past the "scanning for updates for your computer" part.

A:Windows Update Hangs

I would be inclined to try a clean out first.

In IE, Tools/Internet Options/Browsing History, clear Temp Int Files and cookies.

Control Panel/Java, clear the Java cache.

Control Panel/Add-Remove, check you have the latest Java 6 Update 7, and delete all others.

If these don't work, go to My Computer>C:>Windows, and delete the folder 'SoftwareDistribution'. You should now be able to start from scratch with Updates. Make sure you get the Custom ones as well.

Let's know how you get on.

Cheers

My laptop OS is out of date.  I am trying to update the OS.  Windows update shows that there are 30 important updates available.  When I try to download and install these updates, the task hangs. It does not report any progress in downloads.
Even if I left it run all day, there is no report of progress.

I have installed a fresh copy of Windows 7 Ultimate and since I cannot get important updates to install correctly. Time after time I keep getting an blue screen (file attached). I also keep getting updates failed when I try to install them all. I get errors such as "80071a91" and "8007045D". Any ideas or way to fix this windows update and possibly my issues with the blue screen.

Any help I would greatly appreciate..

A:Windows hangs and cannot update help please

Both errors point to file system related issues. Most likely your HD is either bad or there's some file corruption that's occurred. This can also be a memory issue as well.

First thing to do is run CHKDSK /R followed by SFC /SCANNOW. If neither of those fixes the problem then you may very well have a bad hard drive. Do those for now and get back with us afterwards.

I have Windows 7 Professional & have it set on automatic update download. The last download had 12 updates but the computer got stuck on the 8th update. I had to close it down (shut off manually) & reboot & it came back to the same point & again kept running but would not load the 8th update. After the fourth try my computer finally installed the 8 through 12 updates & all is well now. My question is how do I handle this situation if the computer stays stuck since each time I turn it off & then back on it reboots & returns to the same situation of installing the updates?

One of this month's updates seemed to take "forever" to install. How do you distinguish between a stuck update and one that takes way longer than expected?

Hi!

My Win8 box is not quite 2wks old, so I'm a true newbie with the OS. I've tried searching for other threads on Windows Update failure, but haven't seen any referencing the formal release (eg, non-beta) date version. If I missed something, I apologize!

Anyhow, I've yet been able to get Windows Update to run on my box. I first noticed the problem when I was trying to retrieve printer drivers. The most that got me was a .NET framework failure. Then I tried getting the updates to the Store. That likewise has failed.

In addition, I'm also running into all kinds of app issues which I believe to be "update" related, but I can't of course confirm that since I can't get at any updates.

Anyhow, if any the gurus out there have some suggestions, I'd be very grateful!

Thanks so much.

A:Windows Update hangs

I of course forgot to mention that when I try to launch Windows Update from Control Panel, it likewise hangs.

Thnx again for your help!

I, too, just ran into a problem with the latest group of Win 7 updates (a group of almost 30). Got the usual gold shield on my "Shut Down" button, so clicked it. In my case, the installs didn't hang and appeared "successful". However, no sooner had the system rebooted when the gold shield appeared again. Click the button again. 2 updates downloaded and appeared to install successfully. But again after the reboot, same gold shield appeared. This time I checked my update history and found that the same 2 updates were repeatedly installing "successfully", but obviously they weren't.

I also noticed that my Windows Live Mail stopped working. Program would open, but it kept saying I was working offline and did I want to go back online. Answer yes, pops up again. Answer yes again, then check the Work offline checkbox. Still checked. Tried to uncheck it. No go. Tried changing from encrypted (SSL) ports to non-encrypted. Did nothing. Tried repairing the program. Did nothing.

Finally did a system restore to one created 2 days ago. WLM now works perfectly. I went back to updates and allowed the ones for Office 2010 only; none of the ones for Win 7. I'm going to block the latter until I find out that M$ has fixed them.

I didn't see any posts about this, so I hope I am not double posting.

After removing a drive load of viruses, I am still not able to update Windows Vista to Service Pack 1. I have even tried to create a new admin user account in hopes that this would work, but no go. I tried running sfc.exe / scannow from the CMD and it did report that it was unable to repair wextract.exe. Also, the file reportingevents.txt located in %system root%\windows\softwaredistribution\reportingevents.txt lists "Windows Update Client failed to detect with error 0x80070490".
Although, I think Windows Defender can update. I need to take a break.

Alright, this has been going on for awhile, and now I'm fed up. Every time I want to update windows, it comes up with this error code - 80090305 Every time I try to update windows defender, it comes up with this error code - 0x80090305 I can't update either! I've looked for solutions online -everywhere- nothing works. I checked what the Microsoft website said, but that didn't help either! I really think I should get these updates, and I'm tired of it popping up and telling me that it can't update. The computer is an Acer (I don't know the exact model, I trying to fix my friends computer and I'll be back there tomorrow.) Anyway, help would be amazing. Thank you! p.s I realize this is my first post, but you know I signed up because I really need help! I've tried everything!

I am have a problem with windows update hanging and never completely updating. I have restarted several times, but to no avail. it either hangs at downloading an update, or installing 2 of 3.

At the same time (and I don't believe in coincidences) I had a printer driver get corrupt, and a USB-COM adapter driver go corrupt and now cannot get either to reinstall. Also Chrome doesn't start anymore unless I delete the already running process, then it starts just fine.

This computer never shuts off, and is only really used for UPS Worldship, and a little net surfing.

I attached the zip file.

Thanks in advance.

A:Windows update hangs - should I give up?

I decided to give up on windows update and ran autopatcher again. I had some trouble with it before running chkdsk but it now runs perfectly and downloaded the updates I wanted. I just did a clean install of Windows 7 Ultimate SP1... Running Windows update for the first time, it installed the update agent, and downloaded a few updates no problem... Then later it ran again, and needed to update the update agent again... Now after that second agent update, searching for updates hangs... I let update run all day, and nothing.

I've tried everything I can think of and used several suggestions I've found on the web, but nothing is fixing the problem. This machine had hundreds of threats detected by MBAM, but still can't get Windows Update to work. Also, a hijacked new tab page in IE "startseacher.com".

I would post DDS and GMER logs, but neither completes successfully. DDS appears to execute, but the screen disappears immediately. GMER runs but then has an error and Windows says the program ended unexpectedly.
