Q: Broken Screen of HP x360 Convertible 13.3" Touch Screen 2 in...

I have bought this product 3 months ago "HP x360 Convertible 13.3" Touch Screen 2 in 1 Laptop 6th Gen i5-6200U 8GB 1TB" 2 days ago I found its screen was broken, I think it was dropped on the floor inside its contaning bag. It is still function well, but I want to know can I change the screen or not. Thank you in adavnce

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

Hey, I have a HP Spectre x360 Convertible Windows 10 Home 64-bit and i bought it few months ago (8/2016).  Screen problem occured during the past few weeks. The texts get covered by black boxes, but they dissapear once you move the cursour on them and when you change from program to another the screen "flickers" (picture below). I don't knwo the reason. Few weeks ago my computer had a major update. could it be the reason? Thanks!! p.s. I'm not sure if this is connected to the previous but earlier when i turned the compute on boot manager came on with options of "OS boot manager (UEFI)" and "Boot from EFI File".I chose the first one based on what i read about them. Should I be worried? :/

i have HP pavilion x360 convertible 13-u002ne and just bought it from less than one month ago. while processing some updates , 2 weeks ago i found a red line in the middle of the screen. i restarted the pc and still there, i accessed f10 and the line still appear. shut down the laptop for a couple of hours and opened it again and the red line disappears.again today afetr processing some updates, the red line appeared and it doesn;t want to go away.please help

Doing: entering text in a LibreOffice document, running Firefox, and LilyPond software.Recreate: Have not tried to recreate, seems to be random (it's happened once before).Error messages: none, black screen, after a few seconds loud alarm.No recent software/driver changes.Internet connection: DSL.Computer purchased on June 8, 2016. This is the second time this occurred. The first time, after a few seconds of the black screen, the computer rebooted and seemed to function normally. My company wants to use one O/S throughout the business. Windows 10. On these machines it seems to stop the Touch from working. the I2C driver is showing as a fault, this happens on multiple machines. I have searched google and installed different versions of the drivers and 3d driver (locks the heads in the hard drive if dropped) I did find this artical on the forum but i cannot find the driver. version 604.10154.1010.7150, dated 2015-10-01. I've seen that other people have had success in getting the touch working and wondered if there are any other options i need to try? many thanksHeavius

Hi Magnutus, welcome to the forums.
Please check if you Lenovo S210 is on warranty under with this tool.
After that you can open a ticket with Lenovo for the screen to be fixed, if it is not under warranty it will have a cost.
If you are the guys that like to fix it yourself (and it is not under warranty) I can recommend you to check the support site for your model, read the Hardware Maintenance Manual (on the documents area) and check how the machine is organized on the inside. On the parts lookup page you can find the parts number so you can find a replacements for the component that is giving you issues.

I purchased my HP Spectre x360 (i7, 8GB, 256SSD, Windows 10) two days ago.It worked perfectly until midday today when the touch keyboard icon in the bottom right of the toolbar began to toggle on and off for no reason.  Simultaneously, the touch screen was unresponsive for the majority of the 13.3" display.  When the icon is not toggling, everything works fine.  This problem occurs (what seems like) at random times for random durations.I have done nothing outside normal use and checking to make sure there are no problems.My guess is it has something to do with switching from the various "360" modes and possibly the connectivity between the screen and keyboard panels.Has anyone else had similar problems?Are there any solutions already in place?

I have looked into your issue about your HP Spectre x360 - 13-4101dx and Touchpad not working correctly. Here is a document on how to troubleshoot the Touchpad sensitivities.If you will go to the section on Adjusting TouchPad pointing sensitivities it should help resolve the issue. You could  try using the Windows Update Troubleshooting tool to fix any updates that have not come through for Windows 10.  Please restart the Notebook twice to make sure all update have been completed!I hope this helps.Thanks.

I just wanted to tell you your customer service is a disgrace. I just bought a brand new spectre x360 10 days ago and its touch screen goes crazy every few hours. I had to contact your support 4(!!!) times: first time they updated the BIOS, second time they updated the BIOS and the graphics driver and the third time they had me do a full system refresh, nothing has helped. When I called the support line the last time they told me I had to replace my laptop and that it would take 7-9 business days for it to get replaced once they take it away! I'm new here in Los Angeles and don't have another laptop, while school is starting I don't have any alternative laptop and can't make do without one! This is ridiculous, I'm never buying another HP product again in my life and will recommend everyone else to do the same.

I have had this problem for a couple of weeks.  I have researched and have done ALL the suggestions offered, including reinstalling Windows 10.  I have used HP Support Assistance to make sure all of the updates have been installed.   So far, nothing.    However lately I have also started having trouble with the mouse and the touch pad.  I can move the pointer but punching the mouse button, the enter key or the touch pad has no effect.  I have to go into another screen and them back to the one having problems.   Thanks

Bought a brand new Envy last Thursday, touchscreen did not work.  Called support and they remotely worked on it for a few hours ultimately having to restore to factory settings, still did not work.  Exchanged laptop at store yesterday and the touchscreen on this one does not work either.   Per the sales person at the store the touchscreen should work with computer in laptop or tablet mode, is this correct? Is there a known issue with these that I should choose another model?   Is there something that has to be enabled?  I have checked the drivers and all is newest version and enabled. Thanks for any help.

I wish I had read the reviews before buying this laptop. I've had the laptop for 5 months and didn't drop it just went to open the screen one morning and it had cracked without impact. Called hp (my laptop is still under warranty) and they claimed it would be 471$ for repair when it is clearly badly manufactured and a defective screen. For a laptop that flips around and should be better built I am extremely disappointed. I am a university student and I will be telling everyone and posting on McGill forums how horrible this laptop is and how horrible hp customer service is. I was told many different things on the phone and never got a straight answer. For the same price by a MacBook, hp isn't worth the grief and the time.

My laptop's touch screen doesn't work after updating my drivers to date. I opened the Tablet PC Setting, it says 'There is no pen or touch input available for this display' . (I used Shorcut to open the setting because the Tablet PC Setting disappeared in the control panel along with the functionality of the touchscreen). I tried doing a recovery but it wasn't successful to bring the touch back.  Plus the HID-Compliant touchscreen driver is missing. Please help me to fix this, thanks.

I had this laptop original with windows 10 from manufacture and I did downgrade to windows 8.1pro since I need to run a prgram that works only with windows 8.1. Now my touch screen is not working and can not find any driver, shows no pen or touch input available. Also i did check on device manager and dont see any HID for touch screen. Can somebody please help me out with this matter.

My ENVY m6-AQ003 x360 touch screen function clicks itself. It clicks really fast in a straight vertical line. I havn't used it in a couple days so when I turned it on and it started clicking my first thought was the mouse was acting up or the touch pad. so I unplugged the mouse and restarted the computer. It continued to do it after the restart so I tried to turn off the touchpad. But the screen kept clicking before I could. Although it has stopped after i played around with it. It seems to keep doing it from time to time a few clicks. I know it is the touch screen function after I realized that the touch screen makes circles where you click and the mouse and touch pad don't. I hope there is a quick fix so I dont' have this problem when I travel in a few days.

I've just replaced the digitizer (touch screen) assembly on a HP Pavilion x360 11-k009tu Windows 10 laptop. All ok except the x-axis is reversed i.e. mirrored around the vertical axis, so if you touch on the left it responds on the right and vice-versa. I've tried many suggested solutions, none of the following have helped:> Re-calibrating the touch screen> Reverting to a system restore point prior to the digitizer replacement> De-installing & re-installing the touch screen device in Device Manager> De-installing & re-installing the touch screen drivers> Installing the latest touch screen drivers from HP support site> etc etc etc I did come across a reference somewhere re editing the touch screen calibration data (in registry or calibration file) and reversing the x-values but have since been unable to find that reference again. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Have a touch screen envy 17 inch m7-n014dx. Under warranty but have a scratch on my glass screen need to replace it unfortunately hp sell the screen with led for over 400.00$ and they are a lots of touch screen on line available for m7 17 inch touch screen digitizer but the model number are different like m7-j014 is make. Ever since the upgrade to Windows the option to use screen has broken 10 Windows my touch touch on my TouchSmart - uk has disappeared nbsp I have used the Device Manager to locate and uninstall what I believe to be all of the HID Touch Drivers in an attempt to force the PC Windows 10 has broken my touch screen to download the latest ones on reboot but this hasn't fixed the issue nbsp I'm aware that in the Control Panel settings under the Pen and Touch section there is supposed to be a checkbox to enable the use of a finger as a touch device Since the upgrade to Windows this checkbox no longer displays nbsp I had suspected that perhaps the touch screen drivers weren't even installed along with the new OS so I've tried downloading the Windows version of the drivers from your website only to be told by Windows that all downloads from HP are blocked nbsp I know your support message states that driver updates are available from Windows 10 has broken my touch screen the update panel in Windows but I've checked every day since the OS was installed and there hasn't Windows 10 has broken my touch screen been one for the touch screen nbsp Hopefully somebody else is having this same problem because I've searched everywhere and haven't managed to find a smiliar complaint

Hello Lenovo I'm a business management student from India I purchased Lenovo Ideapad U Touch model this May from the US through Amazon and have been using it without any issues till the last month Last month I noticed that the hinge had developed tension and there was additional pressure on the lid or the screen area while closing I thought it would be a routine issue and took it to my college's hardware repair center but they suggested I handle the issue Ideapad Broken for U310 Touch Screen via Lenovo Support as it required opening the laptop When I checked Lenovo support through customer care India I was told that the U series Broken Screen for Ideapad U310 Touch is not covered by International warranty But I checked if the Lenovo service center Broken Screen for Ideapad U310 Touch would still have a look at the issue to which I Broken Screen for Ideapad U310 Touch was told that it would be chargeable I thought it was fair enough and took the laptop to the service center in Jamshedpur this afternoon To my utter disappointment the technician was unable to open up the area near the screen where the problem was supposedly but he also got the screen cracked while trying to Now I'm left with a laptop that cannot be used as even though the screen display is intact the touch sensors detect screen touch near the cracked area and keep the cursor rooted to that point Also the issue with the hinge could also not be fixed All to add to the woes I will have to manage a few days don't know how many without a laptop and also shell out the expense from my pocket Now my question is will the screen for Ideapad U normal non-touch version work for my laptop I am not a very touch friendly user and it will save me some bucks also I've heard - hence the question And could anyone direct me to a site where this can be purchased for a customer in India Please help me Regards Rahul nbsp nbsp nbsp nbsp

I?m sorry to hear about the situation that you are facing regarding U310 touch Laptop, as it is ultra book Touch model displays can only replaced by the same kind and not the normal one, as Laptop was purchased in other country and international warranty is not applicable in India for this model, the parts will be ordered from the region of manufacture if the part is not available.
I'm sorry to inform you that the only option available to get the same type display replaced on a chargeable basis.

I bought the HP Envy Won't Stay Disabled Screen Broken Touch -P All-In-One on November It's been less than Broken Touch Screen Won't Stay Disabled a year and the touch screen has already started messing up If it's left on it starts jumpng all around opening random tabs and stuff It's impossible to do anything when it's like this because no matter where you place the cursor or pointer it moves again in less than a second That's very annoying when you're trying to make your way to the Device Manager to disable the touch screen again Disabling the touch screen solves the problem but it keeps re-enabling itself after a few days and I have to go through the whole process again Why can't I just keep it off Is there a way to make it stop re-enabling itself How nbsp about uninstalling the driver for the HID Compliant touch screen Will that prevent it from coming back on Or if you know what's wrong with this nearly-new touch screen that would be good to know too A friend suggested it could be greyware affecting it but I really haven't downloaded installed anything suspicious on this computer It's running Windows Defender as well nbsp nbsp Thanks for any help or advice nbsp

I have a leveno ideacentre and the screen is busted so it thinks it is getting random inputs all over all the time. I use an alternate monitor and just want to use this as a regular pc, not a touch pad
I can manage to get into device manager and 1) disable HID-compliant devices (9) and HID compliant consumer control devices (2) and the touch bubbles go away. However if I reboot the bubbles come back as the system somehow auto fixes itself.
I'm not sure if its a default program installed or what so whatever suggestions or help you guys can offer would be awesome!

Hey there I'm trying to upgrade the memory in my nbsp -a nr laptop nbsp I used the crucial memory finder tool selected my laptop model number and the results showed a maximum of gb 13" convertible RAM upgrade x360 mhz x gb low voltage memory nbsp The crucial scanner tool however showed only slot was available with a maximum capacity of gb nbsp CPUZ and Speccy show slots with mismatched RAM was the manufacture installed gb of PC L s the other chip was a 13" x360 convertible RAM upgrade gb of the same tyepe 13" x360 convertible RAM upgrade from a different manufacturer with different timings but same frequency Since the chips were mismatched the memory was running in single channel mode nbsp So I started thinking maybe the nd chip is soldered to the board nbsp I figured I would order a gb kit and if there was only slot then so be it I didn't want to have to open the laptop twice nbsp I heard this APU is severely dependant on having fast memory in order to perform That's the main reason I decided to do 13" x360 convertible RAM upgrade the upgrade since the ram was running at low frequency loose timings and single channel there should be noticeable improvement nbsp I also ordered a gb SSD to step things up while I was at it The SSD installed just fine the ram however is giving me issues nbsp It is not running at the mhz it is supposed to Both chips are recognized the SPID are showing up correctly but they are running at mhz and still running in single channel mode nbsp nbsp nbsp I looked into the bios and saw there were no options to change really much of anything I went ahead and updated to the latest bios but that didn't make any difference If anybody has any helpful advise it would be greatly appreciated nbsp nbsp

To fix it I changed the boot manager to something else and now it says "your pic ran into a problem and need to restart. We'll restart it for you." And then it does this over and over and over again. Please help!!

I need help trying to find a stylus that would work for the HP ENVY x360 m6 Convertible.   This was a recent purchase and I chose the 2 in 1 laptop for the versatility to use it as a teaching tool (writing notes in one note).  Any suggestions would be appreciated.  I do not want the option of a rubber tip generic stylus but would prefer something that has more sensitivity and pressure as I also have a surface pro at school (the envy is my home computer).  Thanks!

Attempting to use a stylus HP active pen with my computer bought in May 2016.  My computer is a Full High Definition (FHD) displays (resolution is 1920x1080):The bluetooth connection work perfectly but it's impossible to right on the screen.There is no response to the stylus.I thought this occurs because the touch controller firmware needs to be updated.Unfortunatly I'm not able to find  the appropriate firmware.Could you please Help  Best regards Patrick

Hi, I just received this HP ENVY 15-w000 x360 Convertible PC and I am trying to set up a new copy of Windows 10. I have a flashdrive that has been set up to boot with a copy of Windows 10 that I would like to install. The problem is that when I press Escape and choose booting, I don't find the USB drive at all - the options remain the same where the flashdrive is plugged or not. Please advise. Thanks,Al

The problems started ever since a regular windows update and bios update through HP Support Assistant went through.  Following those updates, my laptop now stutters and lags every 5-10 seconds whenever I play a game WHILE CHARGING. This was not a problem before the updates. Attempting to solve the problem, I reset my laptop a couple times and started from scratch. I made sure battery settings were at max or balanced.  Those haven't worked. The thing is, I can play League Of Legends and other games on high quality on only the battery. Only when it's charging does it begin to stutter and lag. It's been a couple months since this problem came and I have yet to figure out a solution.  I am dying at the fact that a 700$+ laptop is making gaming ineffective in comparison to my 6 year laptop.

HP Pavilion x360 m1 Convertible keyboard becomes disabled with screen "flexed" around 360 degrees.  A larger monitor is plugged into HDMI port and it works fine. Keyboard works with screen in normal approximately 100 degree postions all the way to flat (180 degrees).  But if screen is "flexed" past flat then keyboard becomes disabled. Mouse does work when screen "flexed" or folded. The unit is new with no software additions. The reason for wanting to fold the screen all the way under is that the space available to rest the laptop on is too narrow to accomodate the full size of the unit with the screen folded out to 180 instead of  able to be folded underneath the main body/keyboard. How to enable keyboard to work with screen folded all the way around 360 degrees? Thanks

I have observed it overheats a lot on middle of the keyboard near function keys within 10-20 minutes I start using it.
from other HP forum I have already tried HP CoolSense but it does not help..
It is really sad experience to buy one of latest product and face this kind of issue.

I recently purchased the HP DVD 600s external drive to attach to the HP Spectre x360 Convertible laptop but am unable to get the laptop to boot from a CD or DVD.  I've disabled secure boot in the bios and moved the CD option to the top of the list in the UEFI boot order but booting up bypasses the CD/DVD drive, goes straight to the hard drive, and starts Windows instead.  The DVD disc boots fine on another computer.  My laptop product number is T629UA#ABA.  Please help.  Thank you.

Hello, My HP Envy x360 15t convertible notebook is displaying an error on the battery icon. It says "12% available (plugged in, not charging)". Yesterday I was on my laptop and before I shut it down it went into what looked like a different mode. I booted it up this morning and it is still in this mode. It looks like touch screen mode but I do not have a touch screen.  The icons on the task bar are spaced out and there is a back button on the task bar too which is not normally there. When i right click against the task bar, one of the buttons says "Show touch keyboard button".  All of my files are spead out as if to have room for touching if I had a touch screen but I do not. I am finding this very annoying because I cannot get onto my desktop properly and is not in the right mode. Please help!

My Envy-15 u011dx has recently recieved the dreaded plugged in not charging error. This started yesterday out of the blue. I have tried to disable to battery drivers and restart, new cords, new outlets, everything. It will hold a charge while plugged in but the second its off the chrager, it looses battery fast. It is out of warranty so I could try to remove the battery but I would need a replacement. Any help would be great!

Brand new out of the box Envy x360 convertible touch screen -  uk keyboard map has no backslash the key is there but does not respond, the key seems to be designated as a function key. Took it back to where i bought it from they cheked it and there stock all are the same, conclusion is HP Error in the Keyboard Mapping.......COME ON HP.......sort it out!!!!

Where can I download a copy of recovery software for HP Spectre X360 Convertible 13-4103dx?  I replaced the OS with Windows 7 64-bit as this is still the standard OS at work but after the install , it removed all drivers of devices even the newtork adapter and USB controller.  Now I could not connect to wifi/network or read the USB drive.  I need to restore it to Windows 10 as I could not find a driver for Windows 7 for this notebook.

Hello All nbsp Frustrated new owner of HP Pavilion x - convertible nbsp here nbsp Bought this computer about weeks ago nbsp Here are the issues I've been having nbsp nbsp Computer goes into sleep mode no matter convertible hp - GOES x360 laptop MODE... - SLEEP INTO pavilion what minutes setting I've set to both on battery and plugged in I've even set everything to never laptop would still go into sleep mode after to minutes of no-use nbsp nbsp Spent to hours with HP rep whom of which remotely accessed my laptop downloaded a bios update installed bios update nbsp After the bios update we tested the hp pavilion x360 - convertible laptop - GOES INTO SLEEP MODE... problem byleaving computer untouched for about minutes or so issue seems to be solved nbsp nbsp After step HDMI external monitor not sending signal to monitor nbsp My ext monitor can't detect a signal nbsp I actually had problems when I first tried to use an external monitor had to do several restarts and shutdowns to finally have monitor detect and signal from the laptop nbsp I know it's not the hdmi cable or monitor as I've tried inter-switching monitors and cables with my amazon fire TV nbsp And all monitors and cables were okay nbsp nbsp Nevertheless after step I fiddled around and restarted and shutdown the laptop some more times and somehow the monitor finally detected a signal and screen works again nbsp nbsp BUT HERE WE GO AGAIN LAPTOP GOES INTO THE DREADFUL SLEEPMODE after to minutes of idling nbsp This is really frustrating when you're working a a paper and doze off a lil bit to grab a drink watch tv etc having to come back wait for log in screen and enter password again is quite tedious nbsp nbsp Can an HP really get to the bottom of this as I've seen many others in this forum with issues of Sleep as well nbsp Needless to say I'm pretty frustrated with this as I've spent to on a new machine but I'm having to go through hours of troubleshooting for this

Hi: It looks like all of the drivers, specs and manuals are missing from the support pages again. This happened earlier in the week too. Another forum member has reported the issue to the forum administrators, who will in turn contact HP, but since I am not employed by, nor do I represent HP, I have no idea how long it will take them to restore the missing data to the support pages. It being the weekend isn't going to help much either.

I have the Spectre360 convertable and every 10 seconds the screen turns off if i am reading or not activly touching screen, mouse etc...I have set everything in the sleep, hybernate mode set  to "never" yet it still turns off after 10 seconds.  It is very annoying. Please help me. Thank you!!

This is a great place to ask questions, find solutions and get help from others in the community! I understand that you are having an issue with the screen going black every 10 seconds or so on your HP Spectre x360 Notebook PC.  Do you receive any errors?Have you tried to see if you get the black screen in Safe Mode?Have you tried to run the power troubleshooter? Have you tried performing a hard reset?Are you using the AC power adapter that came with the computer? Have you tried doing Windows Updates? Have you tried doing updates using the HP Support Assistant? Hey all, I woke up this morning and started using my computer to find that there were white spots on my computer screen that I had not previously noticed. I have had the computer for two years and haven't had any similar issues. There does not appear to be anything wrong with the pixels, as the color changes appropriately - it's just brighter. Furthermore, the bright spots on the screen heat up much more than the rest of the screen, which remains cool. I also noticed that, though this may be a separate issue, the touch screen isn't responding. Here is an image (it's much more noticeable on a white background):   Any help is much appreciated!

Hello I have a Sony Vaio T-series laptop model SVT CXS running windows As of yesterday the touch TV + OK, SCREEN BLACK to (power OK, fan LAPTOP HDMI OK) screen screen is black it doesn't display anything Laptop powers on lights are on fan makes noise etc I was able to plug an HDMI cable from my laptop to my TV and I am able to use the laptop using my TV screen laptop screen is still black but displays on TV works And the odd twist this is a touch screen laptop so I am able to touch my laptop screen and it makes clicks and moves cursor on my TV for some reason the track pad doesn't work while its on TV LAPTOP BLACK SCREEN (power + fan OK, HDMI to TV OK, touch screen OK) display though Any help would be greatly appreciated If you can give me steps into diagnosing the problem that'd be great I live in a small college town and there is only one computer repair shop and since it's a monopoly he rips people off Charges for a diagnostic if you get it fixed it goes towards the repair if not it's Charged my friend for macbook charger and it wasn't even an genuine Apple product

I've had this Chromebook for under a week, and today out of no where it the screen flickers nonstop.
If im doing something like watching a video, then the entire screen does it. What should i do? I have a warranty.

Hello everyone I have little to no experience with computers. I replaced my broken laptop screen with a new one online. The screen is only working in safe mode. When I plug it in to a television via HDMI it is good to go. I would deeply appreciate any help with this.

Laptop is a Sony Vaio VPCCB25FX
Old screen is LP 156WF1 (TL)(C1)
New screen is LP156WF1 (TL)(C2)
It is up to date with drivers. I have no clue how to fijx this

If the screen in working in the bios and safe mode, then the screen is indeed working.

If you boot into safe mode with networking, can you redownload the display adapter driver?

You could also try Clean Install Windows 7

I have an acer aspire M3 581T-6405 series ultrabook, but my screen is broken. Can I replace it with a touch screen from an Acer Aspire M5-583P-6428? Whether the touch screen works as a touch screen or not is irrelevant I just want to be able to use my laptop.

My Ideapad S415 touch screen has suddenly stopped working.  I've had a tech connect to my PC and try a BIOS reload of default settings, plus unistalling all "HID" devices in Device Manager with no resolution.  I've also tried a system restore with no luck. The system properties does see the touch capability. Suggestions? Thanks.

First do a Power Drain 
     (If the battery is removable)
            Remove AC and Battery and hold the power button down for 15 sec.
               Turn the computer back on and see if the Touch capability is now detected under System Properties,
                  If not
         I suggest you contact Lenovo Technical Team about the Issue as this may be a device detection issue.

I have a mini laptop and its screen is broken and i cant see anything.

I already trying to close the laptop and power it on while closed so i can connect automatically to the monitor but no luck.

The VGA cable is tightened in and works fine.

I Screen Laptop Connecting to Broken Screen Alternate used a Samsung NP E A-A UB laptop for over a year through an external monitor ever since the screen broke on it Never had any problems Connecting Broken Laptop Screen to Alternate Screen with it besides that Until one day I not thinking about Connecting Broken Laptop Screen to Alternate Screen it Connecting Broken Laptop Screen to Alternate Screen shut down my PC through holding down the power button because it was being too slow couldn t even shut it down normally But little did I know doing that would make sure I can t use it again as far as I can tell Because I shut it down using the power button I m assuming the screen came up the one either to repair or tell me the pc shut down incorrectly or bios or whatever it is But since my external monitor doesn t turn on until after my pc is signing in it won t turn on Normally it would just kick on automatically when signing in So I m completely blind to what I m doing and can t get my monitor on Literally all I need is a sneak peak at it to get it to turn on all the way but I don t know how I ve tried a few things already that I ve found online but never though to ask about it til now I ve tried doing the little closing and then quickly opening up the laptop screen to fool the pc into turning it on I ve tried manually unplugging my screen in hopes it would use my external as a primary instead I ve pressed the appropriate F key or combination keys to turn it on Possibly other things but I forget it s been a little while All of these with no luck Literally all I may need to do is get past a few button clicks and I ll have a perfectlyish fine laptop to use again but I can t figure it out and spending dollars on another screen seems a bit much when I ve been getting by so fine without it My questions are Does anyone know of any other ways I may be able to get my external monitor to turn on Any way at all to see what I m doing just so I can get past that simple part so I can get using my pc again My external monitor uses VGA cables Is there any chance an HDMI cable could do more than VGA Any thoughts or advice at all Would be greatly appreciated I ve spent a week trying to fix it it s so frustrating knowing it s possibly just a few clicks away nbsp

Hey everybody nbsp I just received my P last week as a replacement for another Lenovo device So far everything seems to work fine with one exception nbsp Pen... Touch P40 Yoga: ThinkPad / Touch Lenovo Screen When I turn the screen over to the tablet position the touch screen and the touch pen show erroneous behaviour a As soon as I make the first input with the touch pen I cannot make any further input with my finger so the touch input is simply turned off The Windows setting to ignore touch input when the stylus is used is not active b When I try to tap buttons at certain areas of the screen especially at the upper edge the cursor of the stylus starts jumping around and shows up at the lower edge of the screen That means that when I for example tap on the X symbol in the upper right corner to close a window I actually click on some of the symbols in the system tray in the lower right corner nbsp This problem stops occuring as soon as the angle between the two case parts screen and keyboard reaches exceeds approx It does not matter if Windows is in Tablet or Desktop Mode I already Lenovo ThinkPad P40 Yoga: Touch Screen / Touch Pen... tried to manually install another Wacom driver mentioned at https forums lenovo com t ThinkPad-S-Series-ThinkPad-Yoga Wacom-Tablet-Service-for-ISD-Driver-Win and https forums lenovo com t ThinkPad-P-and-W-Series-Mobile P -Yoga-issues td-p I had no luck trying driver versions and nbsp I would really appreciate your help since this issue makes working in the tablet position virtually impossible nbsp

Hello everyone, my touch screen on my lenovo ideapad z400 touch is not working anymore.  The only weird thing I remember is some ghost touchpoint on my screen. I've been looking for the answer to this issue, but it seems that Lenovo does not address this problem.  If someone has found the solution to this problem and wants to share it with me, I will be forever grateful.

The touchscreen stopped working suddenly on my Envy TouchSmart Sleekbook - dx At first i though it was like a normal failure and that will get fixed by turning the pc off or restarting so I did not pay attention to it until now that I screen- not touch touch... HID-compliant to working, use unable had restart my pc multiple times Currently running win I started to believe it was because of an update a few days ago since it was when the problem started but all drivers and everything is up to date I have checked for the HID-compliant Touch Screen driver and had to nbsp show hidden divices in order to find it I cannot enable it and when i check in the properties HID-compliant touch screen- not working, unable to use touch... the following message displays nbsp Currently this hardware device is not connected to the computer Code To fix this problem reconnect this hardware device to the computer nbsp I have no idea on how to connect or how it got disconnected I come from a similar thread but did not solve my problem I have been researching this for hours and have not found and answer Help please nbsp

Sorry I can't answer your question, but this post piqued my interest. I use the Logitech 620 touch mouse on a Windows 7 box at work. I find a little touchy and has to tweaked. But I haven't tried the 620 on Windows 8. Because I'm always looking for the perfect mouse, I think I might just pick up the 400 tonight and let you know.

Hello nbsp My Thinkpad Yoga is connected to a large display through ThenkPad docking station nbsp screen generates touch while random touch lid... Yoga Its lid is closed nbsp During my work from time to time I see random touch clicks on my screen and random opening of menus nbsp It is clear that the touch screen is active Yoga touch screen generates random touch while lid... although the lid is closed nbsp When I open the lid and still connected just to the nd display large screen display the phenomena stops nbsp Worth noting is that although only the nd display shows an image the laptop touch screen is still sensetive to touch nbsp This is I guess why the random touches show up on the screen -- it feels the keyboard not fingers nbsp I expect the touch screen to be disabled while the lid is closed or when projecting only to the nd screen nbsp The solution of opening the lid while connected to the docking station is not acceptable nbsp Lenovo's local support suggestion to disable touch for the Yoga is also not acceptable -- people purchase Yoga to get Touch nbsp nbsp A solution please nbsp Yaron

I'm on the Driver Download page for the S400 Touch, but I have no idea which driver is for my touch screen.  There are display drivers and mouse/touchpad drivers, but neither of them say anything (at least I don't see it) about the HID touch screen.  Running Windows 7 64bit.  Any ideas?

Touch screen on our HP Pavilion 23ST Touch All in One PC P2N42AVstopped working after about 6 months. I reimaged and restored it back to original system. To make sure nothing waschanged by any updates that may have been done.I cannot see any options in device manager for the touch screen.Everything else is working just fine but no touch screen functionality. doing F2 and trying component test. Touch screen isn't there.It is like it disappeared.   This id used in a business and it was working 18:00and the next morning nothing.
