Which stylus should I use with my Inspiron 15r touch laptop? Will a 'Wacom Bamboo Stylus Feel' work with it?

Q: Which stylus should I use with my Inspiron 15r touch laptop? Will a 'Wacom Bamboo Stylus Feel' work with it?

I need to know if there is a stylus I can use which looks and feels quite like a pen, I don't like the compressible rubbery feel of some stylus, they are not smooth enough.

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Hi Shaurya,Welcome to Dell community.
Yes you can use stylus pen with this system.
15z has 15.6" LED-Backlit LCD Capacitive Multi-touch screen, so you can use Targus Stylus with this system which Dell recommends. For further help you can click on the below mentioned link:
The Wacom Bamboo Stylus Feel is the newest stylus from Wacom that a user in that forum said works well. The site, , says it's compatible with the Latitude 10. Technically, any of the non-battery (somehow powered wirelessly by the tablet) powered Wacom stylus should work.
Please reply me if you need any further help.

For instance when I m trying to make short quick hatching motions it thinks I m tapping and concentric circles will form around the pointer Problem is this interferes with the pen movement and makes it actually impossible to crosshatch in small places I ve looked around for solutions and they re mostly for Windows but I ve tried them as well Here http www volnaiskra com how-to-remove-those-annoying-circles html is a link that pretty much shows the solutions I ve found My results - nothing in the bamboo settings helps - updating the driver to - didn t help - there s no such thing as quot pen and touch quot that I can find in Win I opened up quot Tablet PC Settings quot in the control panel and there I found quot enable press and hold for right-clicking quot but it s already disabled - there is no quot Tablet PC Input Service quot in services There is quot Wacom Consumer Service quot which I have - sketch when & trying I'm Win8 actions stylus click causing Bamboo Home Wacom Pen to disabled and stopped didn Win8 Home & Wacom Bamboo Pen - stylus causing click actions when I'm trying to sketch t change anything and quot Touch Keyboard and Handwriting Panel Service quot nothing like what I was looking for but I m getting damned desperate here - I ve disabled and stopped both and no change Not sure what else to try at this point For the record on that link I provided it s the second problem I m having not the first but I tried solutions for both just in case nbsp

So today (June 16, 2012) my stylus pen on my laptop has stopped working. I have a IBM ThinkPad Lenovo X41(T?) laptop with a stylus pen. Everything else is okay except for the stylus...

I try to wave it over and drag it on the screen (the screen rotates) and I have no idea how to fix it at all. Do I download something and it will work again? Help! (I do not wish to download things that require money OR disks, for my laptop does not have a CD cartage thing)

Also, if it was a key I pressed on accident (I think I did... oops?), what key on the keyboard will reset it back to normal? Thanks!

I'm interested in buying the Dell Stylus for my Inspiron 13 5000 2x1. So, I need to know if this product works on my laptop.
Have anybody tried it?
Because I have searched on the internet but i'm still not able to find anything about the Synaptics Digitizer.
thx in advance

A:Does the "Dell Active Stylus 750-AAHC" work on the latest Inspiron 13 5000 2x1?

None of the Inspiron series support active pens, which require an active digitizer the system does not have.

we are interested for a touch screen laptop, but this is more for my wife who is a teacher.
She likes the way our Samsung Note handles the S-pen and she would want to use a simialr pen with the laptop at classes.
Is there such a facility for pens with sharp edges to be used with a Flex for example?
Or we should jsut get those black, rubber, thick capacitive pens?

A:Flex - touch screen Pen/Stylus?

Here is a pen great for writing: search for 'best capacitive stylus' on Google. Pick the one you like mostAre you interested in the ThinkPad 10 perhaps? It has a digitizer pen, it will also disable touch input while the pen is being used. Which is quite useful. It is a small step up to 700 EUR. Also get the keyboard dock. can say with 100% certainty your wife will love it. I got its more expensive brother the ThinkPad Helix. If a student can love it, so can the teacher right ;-) ?The ThinkPad 10 has many flexible options she might be interested in. You won't find anything better for that price.

I was thinking about it... Does such a universal device / adaptator exist, able to touch and write on every notebook screen?
Maybe a usb sensor / capacitator to put at the bottom of the screen , able to see pen movements and touches?

I don't think that could work since there needs to be accuracy. Having a sensor at the top will not be able to gauge depth or accurate distance

I received a Dell Inspiron 2in1 laptop that can also be a tablet and I'm looking for the best option for a stylus. I have a regular one, but I am at college and would really like to be able to take notes on it so I am looking for a fine point pen stylus that works with the touchscreen on my laptop. Do you know which one would be the best option for me? Please let me know.

A:Stylus for Inspiron 2 in 1

We'd need the exact model number to tell you for certain, but most of these don't have a true digitizing screen - meaning the active type stylus you'd need to take notes won't work.   If this is an Inspiron 7359, that will be the case.
There ARE systems out there that do have true active digitizers, but the price floor is about $1K -- this is the domain of the Lenovo Yoga Pro, Think Pad Yoga, and Surface Pro 4.  Just about every system under $1K is a touchscreen tablet - not a true digitizing screen notebook.

Note taking with my new Helix is unbelievably frustrating! It's Windows 8 Pro -- fully updated (Windows and Lenovo drivers and apps). I am using Microsoft OneNote 2013. The problem is regular locking up or freezing of one or the other of the touch screen or the pen / stylus. Sometimes the pen still works, but fingers on the touch screen have no effect. Other times the the touch screen works, but not the pen. I'm not 100% certain that it's limited just to OneNote, but that's where it's guaranteed to happen. I can "fix" the problem most of the time by putting the Helix into sleep mode and then waking. Other times I have to shut down and restart. During a two hour session this will happen a dozen times at least. This makes it nearly unusable. Rob

A:Touch screen and pen/stylus stop working - Helix

I experience almost the same problem. It seems that when I use OneNote with the stylus, the touch input stops working. I know that it is supposed to be disabled while using the stylus on/near the screen. What happens is that if I for instance use the stylus, switch to the windows 8 tile screen and try to use my finger nothing happens. If I touch an icon with the stylus it works, and then I can use my fingers - for a little while. Then it stops working again, and I need to use the stylus to reactivate touch input. And so on and so on. I tried to do what bloggs stated could work - to put the device in sleep mode and restart. This resulted in the windows 8-version of the bluescreen...

Hi all,

I recently purchased a Toshiba Satellite Click 10 tablet which runs Windows 10 home. I am looking to purchase a fine point stylus with USB charging capability (similar to this one Stylus Pen, BoxWaveŽ [AccuPoint Active Stylus] Electronic Stylus with Ultra Fine Tip for Smartphones and Tablets - Jet Black: Electronics).

I don't need pressure sensitivity, it is for making very simple diagrams and highlighting text in some applications. It is an item I envisage using maybe once or twice a week. I don't want one that has a plastic disk on the end.

I noticed quite a few have a battery that only last 12 hours so looking for something which is rechargeable.

My budget is "as little as possible" but could realistically extend to the ~US$50 mark.

Does anyone have experience with a stylus that they can recommend?

Any thoughts/suggestions greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Good day.
The Yoga 900 works with capacitive pens only. Those are the type that mimic a fingertip. These might be ok for some Photoshop features, but not likely for fine-point control. In addition, there won't be pressure-level sensitivity, at least of the type that one gets with a Wacom-style digitizer / active pen.
Hope this helps to clarify.

The problem is when ever I have it plugged in, it doesn't work. The lights are on the buttons work on the tablet but when the pen is pressed on it the mouse doesn't move. When I open 'Windows Journal' that's the only time it works.

Originally I was going to get the Wacom Intuos3 but the price in Australia is significantly more than buying it in US.
It's USD$329.95 on the US website and it's AUD$569 on the Australian website...when it should be around AUD$375 after conversion...

So anyway the one I'm thinking of now is the Bamboo Fun.
It only has 512 pressure levels of pressure sensitivity and has less resolution.
Are these two factors really big?
Apparently 512 pressure points isn't as fluid as the 1024 and you can tell because sometimes it "jumps" this true or is it a marketing ploy?
Bamboo Fun for graphics...yes or no?

If not, does anyone know of a good and cheaper alternative to the Intuos?
Thanks in advance ^__^

It s a really good reliable large format printer though and very affordable in parts, ink and the second-hand purchase price.

However alas Windows 10 doesn't like it, I did the upgrade to 10 (and then the downgrade) from windows 7 but it will not see the driver it sees the device but calls it a USB high speed device or something like that and compatibility mode didn't seem to help.

So unless there is a clever work around and I'd love that to happen I'm stuck on Windows 7 for the duration.

Suggestions welcome.

A:Epson Stylus pro 7600 - Driver doesn't work

No cleverness here, and I don't have such a printer, but...

Have you tried the drivers for Vista?

Epson Stylus Pro 7600 - Photographic Dye Ink, Drivers & Downloads - Technical Support - Epson America, Inc.

These are for the dye-based version. I didn't look to see whether the Ultrachrome based one uses different drivers.

(There are also 32 bit Windows.) If they don't want to install, you could try right clicking on the installer and running the Troubleshoot Compatibility tool.

Good luck.

Hi there, I have the Best Buy version of the THinkpad Yoga 14. for about 2 weeks now. When I first bought it, I tested it out and the pen works. Now I am in class and I tried using it and the pen is not registering. The touchscreen works (e.g. I can draw in OneNote with my finger). I tried hovering the pen over the screen and it is not registered at all. I know the pen automatically charges when it is in the holder. So I think it should be fine on battery.  So I don't know what else to do to get the pen to work??

I've downloaded the correct driver and got rid of the old one.
When I plug the tablet in the light goes on but it doesn't change to green like it should when I put the pen on it, and it doesn't register the pen is there.
When I go to Start > Pen Tablet > Pen Tablet Properties it comes up with a message that says "A supported tablet was not found on the system"
I haven't used it for a long time on this computer, but it used to work. It works on the other computer I tried it on, and the USB ports on the laptop I want to use it on are working.
What's wrong with it? Help! I need it tonight to work on coursework!

Hi everyone So I've noticed this subject being touched on for other models but mine doesn't seem to be listed anywhere plus a lot of the posts are a bit older now I'm looking for an up date on this issue maybe nbsp I'm looking for a stylus or pen that will go with my touch screen device My goal ideally Yoga 700-14ISK - Laptop Stylus??? (ideapad) would be to use illustrator or photoshop to make simple sketches and even illustrations or paintings nbsp So far a few nbsp styli I have tried don't work The dollar store rubber tip one will draw a wobbly line which is useless while a more expensive Adonit Jot Pro with a clear disk on the tip hardly manages a continuous line at all nbsp nbsp It also doesn't help that the Lenovo site doesn't Yoga 700-14ISK Laptop (ideapad) - Stylus??? list ANY accessories for my device along the lines of pens styli and half the time the site tells me I have a Thinkpad and half the time it's an Yoga 700-14ISK Laptop (ideapad) - Stylus??? Ideapad And sometimes my model isn't even listed at all anywhere on the accessories drop down nbsp This is my first time switching to a non-mac apple product and so far I Yoga 700-14ISK Laptop (ideapad) - Stylus??? have to say I'm really not too impressed but still hopeful things will work out My Yoga came out of the box with driver issues as well as a desperate need for a firmware update that would fix ghost touch screen tap issues that kept closing windows But I guess those can just be called growing pains I would really like to make full use of my touch screen so I'm looking for a pen or stylus with pressure sensitivity and palm rejection that integrates with illustrator at least blue tooth or usb is fine if such a thing even exists nbsp I have contacted Adonit directly and they say some of their styli may work but some may not And the one I have tried which they say should work does NOT so that's worrisome It makes me think most of them wont Next I contacted Wacom and their customer service was useless and kept refering me back to their list of approved devices well some Yoga devices were listed but not MY yoga device so they failed to clarify that for me to any degree nbsp I know there are some styli on the Lenovo site that seem to have good reviews but again they seem to be listed for SOME other Yoga device but not MY yoga so have I basically painted myself into a corner with this purchase What's the point of even making a touch screen if you can't do anything besides poke at it to select one thing at a time nbsp Say it ain't so guys I would really like some help input on this as soon as possible nbsp Thank you nbsp nbsp

I recently bought the Wacom Bamboo Touch pad. This device adds multi-touch via usb to your computer. They had other versions such as Bamboo Pen and Bamboo Pen and Touch. I bought the touch because it was cheapest. How can I make it so I can use a Stylus (or some other pen-like thing) with the Bamboo Touch?

A:Bamboo Touch

it will not use a pen or stylus, WACOM tells which of their pens they are sold separately will work with what tablet I could not find a pen that they say will work with your tablet. Hi I know this topic appeared a few times before on this forum but I am really confused especially after a Lenovo employee told me via pohne I could basically use for Yoga 510 Stylus any stylus on the Lenovo Yoga I would be very grateful if someone could help me I read this article http www howtogeek com not-all-tablet-styluses-are-equal-capacitive-wacom-and-bluetooth-exp As i figured Lenovo Yoga Stylus for Yoga 510 has a different touchscreen Stylus for Yoga 510 no wacom technology no digitizer than f e Yoga which is much more expensive Is that correct Is that why I can not use f e the ThinkPad Stylus Or was the employee right and it doesen't matter if not is there any kind of alternative for the Yoga apart from the cheap pens with the thick tip I want something that is somewhat precise I saw pens with a battery that appear to be capacitive by generating a small electromagnetic field like your finger but have a thin tip Are these the only alternative for Yoga Does the pen for Lenovo Think Pad definitely not work What about the pens that comunicate via bluetooth mentioned in the article Could they be an alternative for the Yoga If there is no real solution for Yoga and there was a Lenovo Laptop with a similar price than Yoga with similar performance and with digitizer I would consider changing mine but from what I saw the notebooks with digitizer are either much more expensive like Yoga or have a lower performance like yoga book is that correct Thank you very much

A:Epson Stylus NX 400

This is a lesson that the people who are making printers are in the money business and selling printers is just a means to that end. I, too, have an Epson, a Stylus Color 960. You cannot print black unless all colors are sufficiently full to print full color, whether you need color or not.

I contacted Epson years ago about this and that was their answer.

Quiet mode has always been slower on all the printers I've seen.
