So i spent the entire day trying to figure out why my Bluetooth installed fine but after one restart it disappeared and it wouldn't come back. I finally figured it out that the FN+F2 (wireless/bluetooth switches) is what enables/disabled it HAHAHAHAHA.
default (after startup): WiFi on / BT off
first time: WiFi on / BT ON yay~!
second time: WiFi off / BT on
third time: WiFi off / BT off
I hope this helps people with their bluetooth issues =)
Windows 8 was able to install all my Function Keys so I'm going to assume this will be the case for others. Good luck
I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.
I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.
You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/directdownload.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)
Does anyone knows whether the Acer Aspire 5253-BZ661 laptop has a built-in bluetooth device in it? Reading from articles on the internet, I don't see any information regarding this laptop's particular model having a built-in bluetooth device in it but has a bluetooth driver and suite ready for the download at the acer main site.
May be a option on some models.http://www.sevenforums.com/drivers/166828-bluetooth-driver-acer-aspire-5253-bz661-but-no-bluetooth-hardware.html
Sir, I cannot tell what your problem is if I cannot have a computer model name and what happens when you turn Bluetooth on.
First, CALM DOWN and look at my profile picture. Calm? Now post your message. If I helped, a Kudos would be great! Marking as solution will help others as well, thank you!

installed intel ac-3160 dual band + blue tooth in a Sony notebook system wont allow blue tooth to start.
also there is no interface available to connect any hardware to it, i know it has something to do with some Vaio software on the system.
it allows me to use dual band mode and it shows that blue tooth is present but disables it claiming interference with 2.4 GHz band.
now i have had blue tooth dongles installed working while using 2.4 GHz band before with no issues, so i don't get the issue now.
any input would be appreciated.
thankx Karl K

I just set up win 8 on my computer and was going thru the process of connecting my bluetooth mouse and my bluetooth keyboard. My mouse connected automatically, no problems. When I went to connect my keyboard I got the usual prompt asking you to enter the code, but the code was not accepted no matter how many times I tried. I know for a fact that this keyboard works, because it works fine on my Win 7 OS on the same computer. Okay so I don t really know if a solution is out there but here is the situation I m in I only have one discovered bluetooth devices Logitech Bluetooth receiver by not available USB port left which I am currently using for the Logitech Bluetooth dongle that came with my Logitech K solar keyboard I would also like to attach my Samsung wep headset for Bluetooth devices not discovered by Logitech bluetooth receiver Skype calls I have tried to discover the headset with and without Logitechs software installed with no luck I then checked device manager which does not show the dongle as a Bluetooth receiver device My assumption from that is that Logitech has it setup Bluetooth devices not discovered by Logitech bluetooth receiver to only receive from their own devices Since I have no room for another dongle and a hub isn t really ideal Is there some way to force the dongle to detect normal Bluetooth devices I ve searched for a custom driver or other work around with no luck so far This is on a computer running Windows bit nbsp

I recently installed the latest version of the Toshiba Bluetooth Stack (v9.10.32T) for one of my desired applications to properly function. However, connecting my Bluetooth headphones through Toshiba's bluetooth manager does not seem to support the media buttons on the headset. These include Play/Pause and seek buttons. Before the Bluetooth stack, when I used my default bluetooth driver for connection, these controls had worked fine.
Also, there does not seem to be a specific setting to fix this in the Toshiba Bluetooth Stack Options.
How would I go about getting these controls back?
One of my friend in India purchased "HCL ME Sync 1.0 (U3) Tablet (WiFi, 3G via Dongle) by HCL" online . It says in many places that it supports Bluetooth but when I saw this I couldn't find any option for the bluetooth and don't know how to turn it on. Is there any one who has purchased it and help me out to turn the bluetooth on or how can we transfer files with some other bluetooth device. Even I couldn't find much good information on internet.
I don't see it listed in the spec sheet, nor the user guide.
On both of my android 4.2 devices, Bluetooth is listed after Wi-fi in Settings. I would think it's the same w/ android 4.1. It's possible the tablet doesn't have bluetooth.
I followed the steps to pair a JBL Flip 3 Speaker with the HP Pavilion via bluetooth. Despite being paired, the speaker didn't sound and also the wi-fi connection was blocked, stoping my Internet browser. Please help me to solve this issue.http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Wireless-and-Networking/Does-Bluetooth-controler-support-Stereo-Audio-Bluetooth/td-p/5699465
Hi, I was wondering if the Acer Aspire R14 model R5-471T 534x Intel Core CI5-6200U dual-coe has built in BlueTooth 4, and if it supports WiFi AC and what is the physical size of the SDD, is it 2.5" . The reason is that I want to buy this model but only if it supports BlueTooth 4 or 4.1, and it also supports WiFi ac plus a,b.g,n of course and also I want to upgrade the SSD to minimum 500GB instead of the 256GB.
Look forward to hear back from you ASAP.
[edited for privacy-please do not post personal or unique information such as but not limited to full names, email addresses, phone numbers, full serial numbers, etc.]
This model does support Wireless AC and Bluetooth 4. In regards to the SSD, it is a 2.5" SATA 3 SSD.

Hi All I have an Acer AOD- netbook running Windows Starter I went to the Support site and downloaded two Atheros and AOD-257 Bluetooth missing Acer gone one Broadcom Bluetooth BT Bluetooth gone missing Acer AOD-257 drivers from the list of available drivers for this model I installed each at a time and then Bluetooth gone missing Acer AOD-257 uninstalled reboot before installing the next one to find which BT card I have Broadcom announced quot no BT adapter quot OK so probably not a Broadcom BT device I installed v for Atheros and after install the BT-suite does nothing when clicked I installed v for Atheros and after install the BT-suite does nothing when clicked After each of the Atheros installs I checked the Windows Device Manager and it showed the BT device was working but I could not get BT headphones to connect or even find a BT signal So I am left wondering if I really have a working BT device Is there any software that I can use that will show the BT device and drivers are available and configured correctly Thanks nbsp
look in Device Manager and see what it shows for bluetooth (if anything at all). It's the best place to look to get an overview of what devices are detected and which have problems as denoted by an error symbol.
According to Acer's website, not all AOD257's have a bluetooth device. It depends on the full model number, AOD-257 is only part of the model number, the full model number contains a hyphen and a further six or seven digits, for example AOD257-N57DQbb
i just purchased an acer aspire 8730g with built-in bluetooth adaptor, but after installing windows 7 ultimate x64 it is no longer detected for some reason.
it worked just fine before the reformat and installation, so i dunno what is going on here.
i've tried to install the bluetooth drivers from the acer website to no avail. i keep getting an error stating that no bluetooth device is attached, but my bluetooth usb dongle works just fine. i know i could use the dongle but that would defeat the purpose of having it built in.
this is what i would like to know:
1) why isn't the built in adaptor being recognized
2) where can i find a schematic for the build of my laptop to disconnect and reconnect the dongle manually
3) do i have any other options in terms of how to fix this problem, other than using my usb dongle

My Acer 5745g Can't find any bluetooth devices like my Logitech mouse and my phone. I went into control panel and under hardware and sound i clicked on add a device but nothing ever comes up. I've looked all around the laptop to see if there is a slide button to turn on bluetooth but there isn't one. There's three little lights on the laptop 2 of them are blue and the wireless light is orange. I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it. But yeah any help would be much appreciated.

So I just bought myself a bluetooth keyboard (K380 Multi Device from Logitech) but the problem is I dicovered that my bluetooth was no longer available anywhere on my computer. Then, decided to download the drivers from acer support page but seems that there are some common problems with Bluetooth and Windows 10 update. Checked the windows 10 compability with the official page and seems my model didn't make the cut (even though windows asked if I wanted the update so I assumed it complied with the neccesary specs). Anyway I can fix or download Bluetooth?http://community.acer.com/t5/E-and-M-Series-Laptops/Acer-M5-582PT-Bluetooth-problem/td-p/456481

Hi, I have a windows 7. I have found the bluetooth in my computer, it says "fsquirt" aswell. When I open the file, it says send files or recieve files. So if i click on Send Files, it says " select where to send your files" with a large box under it which i cannot type in. If i press recieve files, it says " windows was unable to transfer some files, an address incompatible with the requested protocol was used.
So i dont know how to fix this!?! Help please? I'm trying to send videos from my phone to my computer via bluetooth!
In windows 10 mobile, I can go into my bluetooth devices, and 'disconnect' a specific device. In Windows 10, I can only 'remove' the device (which I don't want to do) or turn off BlueTooth altogether.
Does anybody know a way to just disconnect a device? For instance, I want to have my headphones connect to my phone instead of the PC.
'Remove device' is probably not the best choice of words they could have used on this! When you close the process (i.e. 'disconnect' your headphones) on your PC, you are performing the same function as what you describe on your phone. You are not actually removing the device, just closing the process. I hope that makes sense!http://forums.windowscentral.com/windows-10/432936-how-disconnect-bluetooth-device-without-turning-off-bluetooth.html
I bought a bluetooth dongle which for some reason isn't working in Windows 7. It shows up in Devices and Printers as "CSR Bluetooth Chip" and when I right click on it and select bluetooth settings, nothing happens. It shows up under Bluetooth Radios in device manager. As a test I tried using it in a Windows 10 VM. When connecting the USB dongle via VirtualBox it was referred to as "Uknnown device 0A12:0001 " and it worked just fine in the VM. Any clue as to what is wrong?
I am having a bluetooth adapter installed on my PC. Now I wanted to connect my Samsung HM1100 headset with it. It paired and everything but during installation of driver it says "NO DRIVER FOUND". I have tried too many times and I have also installed a bluetooth driver "SILICON WAVE BLUETOOTH DRIVER".
Actually its a dongle I'm having. So it didn't require any drivers but it won't connect to my bluetooth headset.
Help will be appreciated.
Do you still need assistance with this issue?http://www.sevenforums.com/drivers/318376-my-bluetooth-adapter-wont-connect-my-bluetooth-headset.html
Hello I have an issue with my Medialink USB Bluetooth Adapter Bluetooth LIT Adapter's USB Is Bluetooth OFF? Light IS When Blue - Version Class Smart Ready Adapter Model No MUA-BA Let me explain Okay I have setup my Medialink USB Bluetooth Adapter with the drivers for my Windows operating system USB Bluetooth Adapter's Blue Light IS LIT When Bluetooth Is OFF? Now when I plug this USB Bluetooth adapter into my USB port connector on my desktop computer it automatically lights up with a blue light on the Medialink USB Bluetooth Adapter itself and on my Windows system tray notification area I get the Bluetooth icon displayed as ON Then I go ahead and pair the computer and my device s example a Smartphone to connect which they do successfully When I am done using the Bluetooth technology I disconnect the Bluetooth connection from each device and then instead of leaving your USB Bluetooth adapter ON with my Windows operating system I go into my Windows system tray notification area and select Turn Adapter OFF I then get the red Bluetooth icon in my Windows system tray notification area demonstrating that my Bluetooth is indeed OFF and the Bluetooth blue light on the Medialink USB Bluetooth Adapter goes OFF or is not lit any longer Okay so far so good everything is normal However when I shutdown my Windows operating system and then restart the computer at some later point I notice that the Medialink USB Bluetooth Adapter still shows on my Windows system tray notification area as OFF okay normal BUT THE BLUE LIGHT ON THE MEDIA LINK USB BLUETOOTH ADAPTER IS NOW ON The only way I can turn off the blue light on the USB Bluetooth adapter is to manually go through the Windows system tray notification area turn ON the Bluetooth technology and then promptly turn back OFF the Bluetooth technology in order for the Medialink USB Bluetooth Adapter s blue light to go OFF again I find this to be a real pain and chore each time to have to go through these manual steps to turn OFF that Medialink USB Bluetooth Adapter s blue light when the Medialink USB Bluetooth Adapter s blue light SHOULD BE OFF TO BEGIN WITH I would assume after the system re- start and leaving the Medialink USB Bluetooth Adapter plugged into the USB port connector on my desktop computer if the Bluetooth technology is indeed OFF as set with the Windows operating system settings then the Medialink USB Bluetooth Adapter s blue light should be OFF as well BUT IT IS NOT I have no intention of consistently plugging in and out the Medialink USB Bluetooth Adapter when I plan on using it or not but instead leaving the Medialink USB Bluetooth Adapter always plugged into the my USB port connector on my desktop computer at all times and using the Windows system tray notification area s Bluetooth icon to turn ON and OFF the Bluetooth technology when needed I have contacted Medialink Mediabridge and they have informed me the rationale for this issue quot The only reason the light would be lit is if the bus power from that USB port was running I they looked for ways to manage the bus power settings of the USB host but was unable to find anywhere in the Control Panel that would allow you to adjust that particular setting quot Makes perfect sense to me that the bus power for the USB port is ALWAYS RUNNING and the computer starts the USB ports are powered and therefore the Medialink USB Bluetooth Adapter is always lit at system start until I turn off the Medialink USB Bluetooth Adapter via Window 's system tray notification area Specifically the Medialink USB Bluetooth Adapter is connected to one of the USB ports on the front of my desktop computer The front desktop USB port connects to one of the USB pin connectors on my ASUS P Q motherboard Further I have an OLDER ASUS P Q motherboard that does NOT support Bluetooth as part of its BIOS settings -- PRE-Bluetooth capability Therefore I installed the software on my Windows Professional -bit and drivers that came with my Medialink USB Bluetooth Adapt... Hi, can you give a 20 word or less problem summary please, I got lost in those wordy details.
I am no BT expert or anything, but all I read was complaining about a light being on, which a piece of black electrical tape fixes around my house, regularly *cough* fire alarms.
If the maker of the device doesn't have a solve to your issue... that is usually the end of the road with a cliff.
Just wondering what are some fun bluetooth sites that others enjoy. Please post em!
i thought bluetooth was a wireless tie in from a cell phone/pda to a wireless internet connection.

But have you checked the ASUS website for the bt driver for your model.

Hi Sri, Welcome to 8 forums.
On windows type "msconfig" in search field at the start menu and open MSconfig. Go to the Services Tab and search for services related to Bluetooth. If any of them are unchecked they will not load on Windows start so make sure you have checked them.
Keep us posted.
I have a Dell Latitude E6410 laptop running W7 64 bit Pro, 8 Gig Memory. Would goning to a Bluetooth keyboard and a Bluetooth mouse create problems, or should I just stay with the wired connections? The keyboard and the mouse as of this time would be my only bluetooth devices. It does have the internal Bluetooth.
Thanks in Advance
no it shouldn't ...do you just want lack of cords?? if you have a set in mind post a link to it and we might be able to advise whether its good purchase or not

Probably Windows 10 replaced the original Bluetooth driver with Microsoft driver which doesn't work well, if at all. Go to manufacturer's site and download the Bluetooth driver. If there is no Windows 10 driver, use that of 8.1 This should fix your connectivity problems.http://www.tenforums.com/drivers-hardware/25371-bluetooth-does-not-recognize-pair-see-bluetooth-hardware.html

So I got an Apple bluetooth keyboard through the post today, and was really excited to start using it. However, when trying to add the device by going Start>Devices and Printers>Add a Device, my computer doesn't detect the keyboard at all.
I went into my device manager to see if I could find the problem, but it turns out that there is no bluetooth adapter visible there, nor can I seem to find any drivers on my actual computer. I tried downloading all the bluetooth drivers from the acer website, but none of them seem to do anything...
I'm pretty sure my laptop has bluetooth, as this is what the internet has told me, so I would really appreciate any help at all!

I don't have your system. But I know that with the Nov Release of 10, My bluetooth don't work anymore either. When 10240 was released there was no issues. However with the November 10586 after the update it said Sorry this bluetooth wasn't compatible and was removed. I tried to reinstall the Wireless/Bluetooth Driver but bluetooth still away. Lucky my Wireless part still working.... Maybe it could be the same thing with yours. Or maybe if you give your Wireless/Bluetooth model maybe there is others that have info about a good Driver for your system James PS. Not all systems have everything that is listed in the Drivers list of Acers website. It could be that yours didn't come with the Bluetooth Parthttp://community.acer.com/t5/Aspire-Desktops/Bluetooth-not-in-device-manager-Acer-Aspire-V3-571-Windows-10/td-p/402595

Acer c314 with ultimate 7600 x86. It has bluetooth but it will only turn on via the epowermanagement tool, which will not work in Windows 7 except for the first time you install it. After that, trying to start the program gets a compatiblity message no matter what compatibility you try to run it with. Is there a way for me to enable bluetooth by default?

Hi, have you found a solution to your problem yet? I also have a TravelMate and am experiencing the same problem with my integrated bluetooth.
Good DayI am having a problem with my notebook, it can't detect any bluetooth devices even visibility option is turned on. The bluetooth driver is working properly and I've tried to update it through device manager and it says that it's up to date but still it won't detect any bluetooth devices. So, I recently had Windows 10 installed on my laptop but as It started acting funny and laggy I decided to format my entire hard drive and install Windows 7 on it.
Problem is that Acer doesn't have Windows 7 drivers for my laptop on their website. (Aspire E1-510) Although I managed to find some drivers for my laptop from some helpful guys on the Acer forums, I can't find the proper Bluetooth driver for my laptop. So can someone help me with this issue? Thank you a lot.
I've had 8 for a couple weeks now and suddenly running into weird USB and Bluetooth issues.
First, my Bluetooth will not let me uninstall a mouse and when I search for devices it does not find any devices. Used to pick up cell phone. Not anymore.
Second, I plugged in a USB mouse and it installed and worked. Unplugged it and plugged back in, got a message that the device was not recognized. Tried all kinds of things to get it recognized. The usual, Device Manager, drivers, etc.
No USB hot plugging in 8 without screwing things up? Even a mouse?
What the heck?
Several weeks on 8, may go back to 7.
I figured one of our fellow forum members would have jumped in to suggest some things by now so let me be the first.
Bluetooth not recognized - Go into device manage and select "show hidden devices" and delete any inactive bluetooth profiles (greyed out with code 45 I believe). Reboot and plug your bluetooth back in and see what happens.
Let's see if this works for starters. Good luck.

I would like to tell everything that has happened to my HP Pavilion G - AX Laptop windows in the hope that I will get a more accurate solution for my problem months ago I had an overheating issue and since my laptop was in warranty the HP engineer came and solved that issue but my laptop wasnt starting So he told me to purchase an HP Recovery Media from HP and drivers Bluetooth and I did so It worked fine Then during startup my laptop started showing a message to replace the battery This happened weeks ago So I replaced my battery with a new one and an original one A week after this my laptop started showing the same message that is my batteries capacity has been reduced and that I should replace it but I have not replaced it the second time And in between the weeks i e since I replaced with a new battery I have done system recovery twice and day before yesterday I reset to factory settings But all times Bluetooth and drivers after a span of - days my bluetooth driver stops working Like d st time I did system recovery for - days everything works fine and then bluetooth is disabled and no way to enable it Same with the nd time And the same thing when I did factory reset Since the last week my laptop restarts in between It is rare but still it Bluetooth and drivers does happen What is the cause for this why is this happening even after system recovery and factory reset and what is the solution How can I get my laptop working in the best condition again Bluetooth and drivershttp://www.eightforums.com/drivers-hardware/52083-bluetooth-drivers.html
I have posted something like this up already, but I can't seem to find a solution.
i have a Canyon Bluetooth device.
And this drivers doesn't work with Window 7..
On device manager, it saids it's present, but when i try to send and do things, it's like as if it's NOT there..
i tried using bluesoliels and it worked.. But then the side effect was that there was a BSOD... and if it's the later versions you have to pay..
So I'm just looking for something that could work with the BT device.. to I can connect my phone and do presentations on it.. Instead of having to plug in the cable...
If someone can help, that would be GREAT!
Besides the original BT installation discs, the only decent available solutions nowadays are either the Windows BT stack -- which has very few compatible devices -- or the BlueSoleil suite.
While I've never experienced any BSOD in BlueSoleil -- and I have way over a dozen random BT-enabled devices which I eventually connect to my 64-bit machine, ranging from mouses, keyboards, phones, headsets, home stereo, my car' sound head unit... --, I'm pretty happy with this piece of software.
Anyway, if you aren't willing to spend money on software, I would at least suggest you to try to search Canyon's website for driver updates. Or to search for a new dongle, Win7 compatible out of the box -- which may be cheaper than BlueSoleil.
Here's a list found I've found on MS website: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/com...tooth+Adapters
I have the latest Atheros driver for Windows 8.1 Now the bluetooth does not even detect any devices. It is installed properly and has no errors

I just bought a samsung DA-E670 wireless audio dock.
I have an Acer Aspire V3-571 laptop operating on Windows 7. When i try to connect them via bluetooth, my laptop recognises it as a samsung bluetooth headset, not an audio dock. It connects but it doesn't work. The sound still comes out of my computer's speaker, not the samsung speakers. I have tried removing and re-adding it numerous times in my laptop's bluethooth devices, but it still wont work.

I can't get my Acer Travelmate to connect to any bluetooth devices, even though it shows that the device is working properly. No connection at all to phones, printer, speakers what so ever.
I've downloaded drivers from the Acer site, removed any other devices from the vicinity, ran Driver Booster 3.0, but NADA.
Go to Control Panel, do you have a Bluetooth Icon? Go to Device Manager. Do you have a Bluetooth icon? Are there any devices with Yellow Flags? If so, these devices need drivers installed.
If not, boot into Setup (Bios) look for Integrated Peripherals and look for Bluetooth, if it is disabled, using your arrow and Enter key, Enable it. Save and Exit.
You should only download drivers from the Acer site itself ,Download Drivers and Manuals | Acer Official Site type in your Make and Model # and choose your version of the OS.

Please help to locate the drivers for two recently purchased bluetooth sticks.
I'm trying to setup bluetooth connection on my Acer netbook, running Windows 7 premium.
I purchased a Bluetooth STACK by Toshiba Version v 5.10.08, After installing the soft from provided CD, I received an notification that its not compatible with the currant version of my Windows.
Following the advise of salesman at computer store, I purchased second adapter, made by DGM Dongle, Blue Soleil. This time installation was self terminated due to incompatibility.
Your help is much appreciated
Try these drivers: Model Content Page
If they don't work, post back, and we can go from there.
Can someone provide the link to download Microsoft Bluetooth drivers for W7?
Thanks in advance
We will need more information.
What is the make and model of your pc? Also, what version of Windows 7 (home premium, professional, ultimate)? And is it 32-bit or 64-bit?
Not every time but what seems like nearly every time I switch from battery to AC or visa versa the Bluetooth drivers reinstall (about 5 of them) and say "device is ready". The only BT devices I have at the moment are a wireless mouse and a portable printer which I seldom, if ever use BT.
Anyway to get the laptop to accept the current drivers without searching and reinstalling?

Did you not try Dell Support?
According to the information in this link the driver you want is only available for Windows 7 64-bit.
The system requirements on the box clearly state support for Mac OSX 10.4+ yet when I access your software and support area of the website for drivers the only option is Windows. There is no Mac OS option. Can someone please verify if this buletooth mouse works on a Mac OSX platform. Thanks.
