I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/directdownload.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

I am attempting to find add-ons for Outlook 2010. This is what I need the add-on to do:
Export an email from Outlook onto our server, and into a job folder.
Save file with date email was received, not exported out of Outlook, and subject line.
Thanks

I want to export my contacts to an external Excel file. When I go through the wizard, the process stops as the ODBCJI32.dll driver cannot be loaded. I can find it on my machine - in c:\windows\syswow64 folder.

I am running Win 7N Professional - 64 bit.

I want to export all my contacts in Outlook 2010 to Excel. Suggestions?

Why: I am fairly sure my outlook file is corrupt. I cannot see my contacts in category view as I did when I had the same program in WinXP (I upgraded to Win7.) After 8 months, the first category appeared in the Current View box, but no others. I can see the categories in list view. I thought I would find some errors when I export them to a file I can edit.

Alternatively, is there any way to view the main Outlook file, (.pst?) in an external editor?

A:Export Outlook 2010 Exchange content from one computer to another?

Update:

NOT an easy task!

I have copied .ost file from old computer to new one (into correct location). However starting Outlook gives me following message:

Quote:
Outlook is using an old copy of your Offline Folder File (.ost) Exit Outlook and Delete the .ost file, and restart Outlook. A new file will be automatically created the next time you initiate a send/receive.

This is exactly what I'm trying to avoid! Have no idea how to make .ost file work with new computer

Ideas?
Cheers,
Miki

Windows Mail came with Vista after Microsoft discontinued Outlook Express. On Win7 and Win8/8.1 I've had better success with Windows Live Mail, part of Windows Essentials, than with Outlook for most folks. An issue with one yesterday on Win8.1 and its Mail was that for ease it worked best to have a Microsoft account such as Hotmail.com or Outlook.com so I removed that tile and setup Windows Live Mail to use with his local ISP account. Now if you are confused by names, join the crowd, Microsoft seems to love confusing us like they did with Works and Works Suite.

Exit Outlook.
Click Start, click Run, type regedit, and then click OK.
Locate the following registry subkey:

Right-click the 2.4 registry key, and then select Export. Save the export to your desktop to create a backup.
Right-click the 2.4 key again, and then select delete.

I have been working wtih Access 2007 and use an export specification file to export data from a query to a text file that contains fixed length fields. I'm trying to export a pivot table to Excel with vba from access 2010 to a specific file name and folder location.
This code exports to excel perfectly except but it opens the pivot table and data in excel and requires user intervention to 'save as'.

DoCmd.OpenQuery strQueryName, acViewPivotTable
DoCmd.RunCommand AcCommand.acCmdPivotTableExportToExcel
DoCmd.Close acQuery, strQueryName

In an attempt to designate the file location I did this:

strXLFile="C:\pivot01.xlsx"

DoCmd.OpenQuery strQueryName, acViewPivotTable
strQueryName.PivotTable.Export strXLFile, plExportActionNone
DoCmd.Close acQuery, strQueryName

The problem at this point is the 'object' part of this strQueryName.PivotTable.Export strXLFile, plExportActionNone
that returns an 'error 424 object required'

I've tried Me.PivotTable.Export and get 'error 2467' expressions refers to object thats closed or doesn't exist.

Google this extensivly help would be greatly appreciated.

A:Export Outlook Express XP into Outlook 2007 Windows 7?

If it's possible then I suspect it's far more likely you'd do it using an import feature in Outlook 2007 as opposed to an export feature in OE6, and I doubt the change of operating system really has much influence on this.

I'm not running Office 2007 on the machine in front of me, otherwise I'd check some of the options myself for you - but if you look at the import menu in Outlook 2007 (or if you're really stuck, the help files!) then I feel certain they'll be an answer already waiting for you

called System Tools 2010 or 2011. I had to sign up and pay 59.95 on my Visa and after doing that
was told to reboot my system. My laptop came up clean and I do not find any reference to the System

The only name that BCM is developed for is MSSMLBIZ as the DB instance, otherwhise you ar correct using 5356. Also make sure that local firewalls allow 5356 and that all PCs have TCP/IP configured for SQL client. The users that need to access also has to be users with access to the DB-server.

just after some help getting quickbooks update 2010/2011 to install.
i have updated my computer and need this program to work.
i have installed quickbooks plus 2009/2010 and activated it but when i put upgrade 2010/2011 cd in it goes straight to upgrade path information and only has 2007/2008 and earlier versions.none of these work. so i am guessing that it is not detecting 2009/2010. i have restarted computer but no luck

Hello and Welcome to TSF.

Please Subscribe to this Thread to get immediate notification of replies as soon as they are posted. To do this click Thread Tools, then click Subscribe to this Thread. Make sure it is set to Instant notification by email, then click Add Subscription.

Please note that the forum is very busy and if I don't hear from you within three days this thread will be closed.

------------------------------------------------------

Please note that these fixes are not instantaneous. Most infections require more than one round to properly eradicate.

Please stay with me until given the 'all clear' even if symptoms seemingly abate.

Kindly follow my instructions and please do no fixing on your own or running of scanners unless requested by a helper.

------------------------------------------------------

Please download ComboFix and Save it to your Desktop.

**Note: It is important that it is saved directly to your desktop**

First, we need to install the Windows Recovery Console.

The Windows Recovery Console will allow you to boot up into a special recovery(repair) mode, if needed. This allows us to help you in the case that your computer has a problem after an attempted removal of malware. Also, ComboFix will not address certain types of malware unless the RC is installed. It is a simple procedure that will only take a few moments of your time.

Download the file from this Microsoft page:

Download Details - Microsoft Download Center - Windows XP Home Edition with Service Pack 2 Utility: Setup Disks for Floppy Boot Install

Do not be concerned that this file is for SP2 if you have SP3. It will work just fine on your system.

Save it as it is originally named to your Desktop.

Now close all open windows and programs, including all antivirus and antispyware programs. Get help here

Then drag the setup package onto ComboFix.exe and drop it. Follow the prompts to start ComboFix and when prompted, agree to the End-User License Agreement to install the Recovery Console.

As part of installing the Recovery Console, ComboFix will begin to run. Your desktop may disappear. This is normal. It will return.

ComboFix will now automatically install the Windows Recovery Console onto your computer, which will show up as a new option when booting up your computer. Do not select the Windows Recovery Console option when you start your computer unless requested to by a helper.

Once the Recovery Console is installed, this blue window will appear:

Please continue as follows:
Close/disable all antivirus and antispyware programs so they do not interfere with the running of ComboFix. Get help here
Please click Yes to continue scanning for malware.
Your desktop may go blank. This is normal. It will return when ComboFix is done. ComboFix may reboot your machine. This is normal.
When the tool is finished, it will produce a log for you.

Please post that log, C:\ComboFix.txt, in your next reply.

Please re-enable your antivirus before posting the ComboFix.txt log.

My Acronis True Image 2010 wouldnt back up after i removed my viruses so i installed version 2011, also this one wont back up, it says that its Queued and wont move. I read some similar threats on google and looked if compatibility mode was on but it is not. Does anyone know what the issue is?

A:Acronis True Image 2010 or 2011 wont back up

So Ir wants you to remove virus' then it will work. So please run this scan.Next run MBAM (MalwareBytes):Please download Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and save it to your desktop.Download Link 1Download Link 2MBAM may "make changes to your registry" as part of its disinfection routine. If using other security programs that detect registry changes (ie Spybot's Teatimer), they may interfere or alert you. Temporarily disable such programs or permit them to allow the changes.Make sure you are connected to the Internet.Double-click on mbam-setup.exe to install the application.
For instructions with screenshots, please refer to the How to use Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware Guide. When the installation begins, follow the prompts and do not make any changes to default settings. When installation has finished, make sure you leave both of these checked:Update Malwarebytes' Anti-MalwareLaunch Malwarebytes' Anti-MalwareThen click Finish.MBAM will automatically start and you will be asked to update the program before performing a scan.If an update is found, the program will automatically update itself. Press the OK button to close that box and continue. If you encounter any problems while downloading the definition updates, manually download them from here and just double-click on mbam-rules.exe to install. On the Scanner tab:Make sure the "Perform Quick Scan" option is selected. Then click on the Scan button. If asked to select the drives to scan, leave all the drives selected and click on the Start Scan button. The scan will begin and "Scan in progress" will show at the top. It may take some time to complete so please be patient. When the scan is finished, a message box will say "The scan completed successfully. Click 'Show Results' to display all objects found".Click OK to close the message box and continue with the removal process.Back at the main Scanner screen:Click on the Show Results button to see a list of any malware that was found.Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected. When removal is completed, a log report will open in Notepad. The log is automatically saved and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.Copy and paste the contents of that report in your next reply. Be sure to post the complete log to include the top portion which shows MBAM's database version and your operating system.Exit MBAM when done.Note: If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be asked to reboot your computer so MBAM can proceed with the disinfection process. If asked to restart the computer, please do so immediately. Failure to reboot normally (not into safe mode) will prevent MBAM from removing all the malware.Troubleshoot Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware

Good morning everyone So the other day something incredibly weird had occurred I was receiving email normally on my phone came into work logged in and began working on my trouble tickets I noted that when I went back to Outlook to view an email the email in particular was gone and then all were gone My folders and emails within randomly email? 2010 / Exchange inbox 2010 deleted Outlook them still remained the same I attempted to research what on Earth happened but I haven't been able to find anything specific to my issue I'm using Outlook connected to an Exchange server for work Outlook was setup as cached exchange mode but that has since been changed The emails also disappeared from my phone's inbox too it's as if everything was deleted and Exchange figured that's what it should be and synced everything that way Deleting my OST didn't resolve or resync anything I ran the scanpst tool on the ost file which reports errors but as I read the scanpst tool can't repair an OST and thus doesn't do anything Does Outlook have some sort of log that may explain what on Earth happened I can't find any error messages or any other reasons for what may have happened My view settings weren't changed nothing has changed on my end There is no spyware malware installed on the PC Outlook 2010 / Exchange 2010 randomly deleted inbox email? as far as I can tell No real issues in the Sync issues folder other than a Forms syncing issue which seems to be related to Exchange needing a patch but can otherwise be ignored I will give you any other information I possibly can just hoping that I can figure out what happened so this can be prevented in the future The email eventually began working normally but for a brief period of time whatever was in my unread folder once they were read they disappeared like the rest of the inbox Thanks

A:Outlook 2010 / Exchange 2010 randomly deleted inbox email?

Are you the only person using that Exchange server who has this issue? Check with the IT department to see if they can recover the emails in your mailbox from the server. It's possible they recently did some maintenance on the mail server that caused this issue. That fact that both Outlook and your phone are having this issue points to this being an Exchange server problem, as Outlook uses autodiscover and MAPI while your phone uses ActiveSync to connect to the server.

Do you have access to your email using Outlook Web Access? If so, log in and see if the emails are there. If not, it's definitely a server issue.

If your mail is still on the server, one thing you could try is re-enabling the cached Exchange mode, saving the change, and then restarting Outlook. The last thing to try is to delete the email account profile and recreate it. Make sure to get the proper settings from IT if you don't already have them -- although since you are using Exchange and autodiscover, that's usually just a case of entering your username and password when you recreate it.

Hello folks,

I need to have installed Office 2010 Cumulative Update for June 2011 as it's listed as a prerequisite for another software. However, I can not find this update in Windows Update (neither in downloads list nor in installed updates list).

Is there a way to install the update manually? And if it is, where can I find this particular update?

Hi All,

Trying to export files to import into another program. Outlook tells me it does not have the required translator, do I want to install, I click yes. It then gives me an error to do with "drive H", which does not exist on my PC. It does not prompt me to insert install CD or anything like that.

Any ideas how I get beyond this problem? It would help tremendously it be able to import these files.

Thanks for all help.

For example i have an e-mail and i would like the macro to search for "Subject:" and because the text after the subject is on the same line i would like it gather that too

Outlook contacts export

Hi all

I would like to know if there is any application allowing you to export the contact details of outlook to an Excel file?

Thanks!

A:Outlook contacts export

Ok using FILE>IMPORT/EXPORT from outlook works.

I now noticed that the ADDRESS field is not distributed in one line but on multiple lines in one cell. In fact now a letter in the form of a square is being printed to indicate that there is a multiple line entry. See http://img392.imageshack.us/img392/8...ture222ol3.jpg for more detail.

Any idea how can I get rid of this?? cannot make it manually as addresses amount to over 3000 and I need to print them in a mail merge!!

Many Thanks

I had a problem with Outlook emails hanging up in the outbox and then sending as many as 14 copies of the same message. I was unable to fix this Using the "Repair" function of the upgrade installation disk (created from the downloaded file). The email that came with the original download from Digital River states to go to the "Account Management Console" to reload; however, this is on a hard copy and the original email with the link is no longer available. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

A:Solved: Outlook 2010 missing from Office Professional Plus 2010

If you downloaded this from Digital River, then you may be able to download it again, contact them and ask.

If you can download the install file again and it works, burn yourself a CD of the downloaded install file.

Also write the keycode on the CD.

A:Creating a Task in Outlook 2010 from a Word 2010 Document

I think this will do the job for you:
Add & Create Outlook 2010 Tasks From Word 2010

.

Quote:
You can create a task from Word 2010 document and save it under Outlook 2010 tasks. This feature is by default concealed but you can make it apparent on Quick Access toolbar and use it directly.

In order to use this feature, you need to make this feature apparent on Word 2010 Quick Access Toolbar, head over to Quick Access Toolbar and from small drop down button click More Commands.

You will reach Word Options dialog. Hit drop-down button present beneath the Choose commands and select All Commands. Now scroll-down the list and find Create Microsoft Outlook Task command. Select it and click Add (>>) to show it on Quick Access toolbar pane. Once added, hit OK.

First save the document and then select any portion of the text in the document from which you want to create the task, from Quick Access toolbar, click Outlook task button.

Upon click, it will create Outlook task for the Word document and you will reach Outlook Task dialog where you can set Start and Due date for the task and add more information about it. Save & close the task to view it under Outlook tasks.

When opening task in Outlook 2010, you can also view the document from which it was created from, just double-click the document to open it.

EMET 5.2 is causing Word, Excel 2010 and IE 8 to crash with a "Microsoft Excel has stopped working" error when we have ASR active for these applications.

Installed apps:
EMET 5.2
MS Office 2010 32 bit.
Blue Cielo Meridian 2011 SP1.

Blue Cielo Meridian 2011 SP1 has 2 services running that integrate with MS Office 2010, these are:
AMHookTray.exe (x64)
AMHookTrayU.exe (x86)

If I end the 32 bit (AMHookTrayU.exe) application in task manager then problem does not occur.
If I disable the ASR in Word or Excel then again the issue does not occur.

I have added AMHookTray.exe, AMHookTrayU.exe to the "Modules" but I still get the error.
Any suggestions would be welcomed.

Hi all
Having totally WIPED office 2010 from my system and re-installed again the problem I had with the "Purge" folder not appearing now is SOLVED.

However you still don't get a line through the deleted items -- but they are in Trash folder now.

This is BETTER but still NOT WHAT IS NEEDED -- as another computer with Outlook 2007 doesn't get the "Non purged" items in the inbox which it should do.

IMAP should effectively leave items in the Inbox until purged -- otherwise I might as well go back to POP3 - more fiddly to manage whern you leave stuff on the server but it works.

What I'm resigned to doing now is to use the REST of the office 2010 suite (EXCEL etc) which is really good but stick with Outlook 2007 for email.

Cheers
jimbo

I do like the way 2010 deletes the emails without purge, but I have found that rules randomly fail and some mail goes awol for a while when switching between folders (it reappears after a while)

IMO outlook 2003 is still the best (I hated 2007) but I will reserve full judgement until 2010 is out of beta.

I am President of a computer user group for seniors. Our community is going to Fiber Optic Internet by the end of this month. I need to help the AOL, Earthlink, MSN users figure out how to Export thier email contacts down to Outlook or Outlook Express.

Can Anyone help us?? <

A:AOL Contact Export to Outlook Express

Try A call to the ISP for help/advise
===================================
It is easier the other way (via OL &OLE)...But I would save the info in files
Some of those programs will export but each is different
I will try to get you more info on each Browser/Portal...but that is a tall issue...AOL is a world of it's own... they are not my favorite people
========================================

Backup your OE mail and news accounts.

Click Tools| Accounts, select the account to backup, and then click the Export button. This will store the account's settings in a *.iaf file at the location you specify. You can later import any *.iaf file by clicking the Import button. Your account password is stored in encrypted form in the *.iaf file. Be sure to export all mail and news accounts, and any user-created LDAP accounts you might have created. The default LDAP accounts will always be created fresh when you install or upgrade OE.

2. Backup your address book.

Open the Address Book and click Help| About Address Book to see the full path to the current *.wab file used by all your Identities. Find that file in Windows Explorer and copy it to your backup media. You can later import the backup by opening OE and clicking File| Import| Address Book.

I recommend that you create an emergency backup of the Address Book as well. Open the Address Book by double-clicking the *.wab file. Click File| Export| Other Address Book, and then click on Text File (Comma Separated Values). Click the Export button, specify a destination folder, and click Next. Select all the fields shown for a complete backup, then click Finish
The resulting *.csv file can later be imported using File| Import| Other Address Book| Text File (Comma Separated Values).
Note: If you do not see a path to a *.wab, then you have set OE to share the Contacts folder in Outlook98 or Outlook2000, and you should consult the Outlook Help file for instructions on backing up your entire Outlook *.pst file.

3 Backup your mail folders.

In OE, click Tools| Options| Maintenance| Store folder to see the path to the folder currently being used for your message store. Open Windows Explorer and navigate to the Store. Copy the Folders.dbx file and all .dbx files to your backup media. It is not necessary to copy any .dbx file because OE will not import newsgroup messages, only messages in mail folders.

You must include Folders.dbx in your backup or you will be unable to import the mail folders! To restore your mail folders, open OE and click File| Import| Messages| OE5 (or OE6 if OE5 is not listed)| Message store directory, then browse to the folder containing your old messages. Do not copy the backup files into the current OE message store or the import will fail. If you saved your backup on a CD or a networked drive, you will need to copy the backup to your hard disk and verify that none of the *.dbx files are marked as "read only", or the import will fail

A:Export from Thunderbird to Outlook 2003

I recommend you stick with TBird. Moving the Address Book is as easy as exporting and importing. The Email is the problem. If you still had XP you could export to Outlook Express, then to Outlook. For Windows 7 Pro, you could install OE in XP mode. For 7 home you'd have to install Virtual PC to do it. There are 3rd party apps. that say they can do it directly to Outlook without using OE, so maybe someone else has experienced one that works. Before trying anything, make sure you've backed up your TBird Contacts and EMail.

Hi guys,

I have 2686 contacts in outlook and when I export the contact file to .csv or any other format only 1500 or so are exported. This is strange because I can see all the contacts in outlook. I can 'select all' contacts in the basic outlook contact screen and copy/paste all 2686 contacts into excel directly but this does not pick up all of the contact information (all address, email, telephone, notes, etc... fields).

what's going on and how to I export all the data so I can back-up/clean the data?

Thanks so much for your help!!!

I cannot export the messages because for some reason there is not Outlook folder under "%userprofile%\Local Settings\ Application Data\ Microsoft". A:I can't export pst files from Microsoft Outlook - please help!

Hi Woopwoop

Instead of Exporting, simply copy the .pst file(s) to the new computer and then connect them to Outlook.

Start Outlook.
File > Open > Outlook Data File
Browse to the location where you pasted the .pst file(s) and select one.
The Personal Folder (.pst file) should then appear in Outlook.

A:How do you export contacts from windows 8.1 to outlook 10

It took me forever to figure out how to export contacts from Windows 8.1 - my friend gave up on Windows 8.1 and went back to Windows 7 for her operating system.
Go to the Windows logo in the left corner of the screenRight click to get the list of options, then left click on "Search" and type in "Contacts"The Contact folder icon should appear, click to open itSelect the contacts you want to export, then click on the "Export" option in the menu bar at the top of the screen (after Organize, Include selected folder in library, Share with, New Contact, New Contact Group, Import, then Export)You can save the contact file as a csv or v-card. Then import the contact file into Outlook 10 or in my friend's case, Windows Live Mail

I am trying to export my Outlook 2000 address book and having a problem. When I open the address book and go to file export, import & export are underintensified.

I have exported the address book before when I upgraded my motherboard. Now I want to esport it so I can import it on another machine and no such luck. Any ideas?

Also, can I take an exported contacts list and import it into Outlook Express?

Thanks in advance,

Larry

Hi,

I would like to save my email (which currently resides in Outlook Express v6) to a file.

From here, I'm going to reformat and reinstall the apps on my computer and I want to restore the email back to Outlook Express.

When I choose File | Export | Messages I get a message saying
"This will export messages from Outlook Express to Microsoft Outlook or Microsoft Exchange"

This message says nothing about exporting into Outlook Express and so I want to make sure that before I reformat that I will be able to have it restored into Outlook Express.

A silly thing perhaps but I just want to know for certain.

Thanks,

JFresh

I got a new computer. As I have in the past, I copied my present PST file (Outlook 2003) and opened it from my new Outlook install (2007) to get my old emails, contacts, and calendar.
As normal, everything worked well .... except this time i had been using the ACTIVITIES funtion in the contacts area to track every activity for each contact ... NO, Business Contact Manager was never installed.
In the 2007 machine, I cannot access my activities.

So how do I properly export and/or import these from my Outlook 2003 contacts??

Thank you very much for reviewing this post.

To what are you trying to export? You may have better luck importing from there. Would it help to know where Outlook stores its data files?

Someone have a solution to that ?

What are you trying to Import/Export? If its your Address book, do a search for Addrbook.wab. Is there any way you can install a German Outlook as well?

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!
I maintain a few address books and cannot believe the difficulty I'm having exporting Outlook 2003 addys to OE or Yahoo or others. I get duplicate entries and I mean double, triple or quadruple or names with no email addys.
Am I doing something wrong here or is there a utility (free is best) that I can use to export these without having to edit each and every one?
Thanks so much and may God bless each and every one of you on this very special day,
Peter

Our sales department currently has to manage two contact lists, one in Excel and one in Outlook. When dealing with thousands of customers, you can see how this can get very time consuming so I'm trying to figure out a way to automate this process somewhat.

The difficulty of this arises because they have unique requirements for column headers so importing is time consuming, and matching data is very time consuming.

My question is, is there a way to export from Outlook to Excel and automatically create the columns (and unique column names), and when needed, import into Outlook automatically putting the data in the right fields.

We use Outlook 2003 in a Exchange server 2003 environment.

If anyone has any other idea's let me know.

Hi,

I've got two computers connect by router but only the main computer has the Outlook Express address book. How can I get it on to the other?

Thanks!!

A:Outlook address book export or copy?

Open Outlook Express -> Click on Addresses -> when the address book opens -> File -> Export -> Address Book -> select where you want to save your address book ( floppy disc.). Then on your other system do the same but instead of export select Import -> then select floppy disc if that is the medium you have saved it to.

This is the one way how to do it, there are other ways.

I have read the previous posts, but none seem to apply directly. I need to export my Outlook 2000 address book to another user. I think she would prefer to import it into Outlook Express. Can someone please give me the easiest way to do this? I thought I had done it when I exported the addresses from her old computer, but they don't seem to have "stuck". PLEASE. This is a huge deal for me at work...

THANK YOU
