Q: outlook 2010 emails not shown in SENT box

I run an accounting program called PASTEL ACCOUNTING which generates emails that are sent to OUTLOOK 2010's outbox. i can see them in the outbox and they are subsequently sent correctly. i know this because they are received correctly by the recipient. However once the mail has left the Outbox it is not stored in the SENT folder and i therefore have no record of its existence!
PASTEL tell me that since it has found its way into OUTLOOK it must be an OUTLOOK problem! i have a feeling MS will tell me its a PASTEL problem...how do i solve this?
PS this did not happen under OUTLOOK 2003 when everything worked properly.

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

List any Problem devices

Make sure devices are connected and powered on
Click the Start Orb, type msinfo32 in the search box. Hit Enter
Click the + sign next to Components to expand it
Click Problem Devices. Anything appear?
If yes, click on it, Ctrl-A to select all, Ctrl-C to copy it, Ctrl-V to paste into next post
On the other hand, if no devices are listed, tell me so

I have a seagate 3TB external hard drive and it was working fine for a while.it was connected to my laptop and it turned off due to low battery. when I charged and restarted it my external Hard drive was no longer shown in my computer. It still makes the noise when I disconnect and reconnect it and have the safely remove device icon in the right tray.

it works fine on all new laptops.. but is not shown on any device which was earlier connected.

Ok I have 2 exturnal hard drives that just stoped working, they both spin and sound good but dont show up anywhere on any computer, I have tryed them on diffent computers used diffent incloshers diffent cables they dont show up in easeus partition software, think my controlers went out on both of them but not sure, do u guys know any info that mite help me fix this

So I've been looking to overclock my laptop for about a week now and I've come across CPU-Z to view some specs and I've noticed that there is no multiplier shown under the CPU tab.




Also if anyone could help me with another problem. When I'm inside my BIOS menu there is no option related to Advanced BIOS features or anything like that.

Not sure if this belongs here or on the networking board. Anyway...
We have a network of about 20 pcs. I recently installed four new machines that run Windows 7 with Office 2010. The server is running Server 2003. Three of the machines worked perfectly from the beginning, accessing the server and sharing folders and files. One machine will only open files in "read only" mode. I have shared all the folders and given every permission there is but it will only open the files in "read only". It is a critical accounting machine that has to share and change files. What am I missing?

hmm; your wording is imprecise so need to make sure what you mean,

Office 2010 can not be shared other than the Calendar events and that's not done
via "sharing".

You don't state the application that is sharing the common file on the server,
but I assume some accounting system installed on multiple client systems are attempting
concurrent access to the same accounting data.

You don't say if this has ever worked before with this setup or if this is the initial install for the Sharing of the accounting data.

First action is to access that file by only one system at a time (ie: disconnect the mapped Drive letter) and get that working.

on systemrequirementslab it says i cant play but i played in the beta perfectly
and i can play call of duty black ops on low no lag even though my vid card doesnt reach the reqirements

i dont mind playing the lowest possible graphics

You must be running Vista 32-bit. You need a 64-bit operating system to "see" 4GB or more of system RAM. With playing on-line games, your Internet speed is more important than your hardware. What type of Internet access do you have, DSL, Cable?

Hp laserjet 5p

Wont print whats shown to be print from adobe reader or paint. I used windows xp drivers to install this. Hp doesnt have drivers for this printer. When I all it prints is 2 pages with one of letters on one and bar of ink on the other.

We had a server die and had to move the virutal servers to a new vm host. brought up the servers now Exchange2010 server will not communicate with the PDC. Ran the dcdiag tool and output it to a file which is attached. Email has been down for 12 hours now! Any help would be great!

This may sound dumb, but did you check to make sure your network card is still programmed with the static info it had before? We've had issues when moving virtual pc to a new host where the original network connection was "hidden" because it was on new hardware.

My hard drive has busted so im taking it in for repairs. The people there say before it is to be fixed they will recover the data for me. Basically i am woundering is there any stage where they will look at my computer deleted/non deleted history. Obviosly i have nothing illegal i just would not prefer my personal life to be desplayed in front of everyone else.

Also would they see softwear such a microsoft word and excel, for a save all my passwords on these documents that im sure could be easily accessed.

If they are able to access the data on the hard drive then, yes, they can see any data on the hard drive. That includes any documents, deleted files, etc. Data that is deleted is not gone forever, it's just hidden. If something overwrites that area of the disk, the old data should be gone but advanced forensics may be able to recover parts or all of the data.

You can't use SATA drives as slave, they don't have a Master/Slave relationship like PATA/IDE drives do. So if the buyer is the one that used the slave term, perhaps he's jumpered some of the pins ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Image... I am new to Exchange Server 2003 and I have a friend with a network server that I don't know how to re-establish a user to the network. I moved one of his non used computers to this station and now when I try to log in the user I get the error that the name can't be verified because Outlook is not connected or online. This computer used to be online with a different user. Can anyone tell me the steps to check this? Thanks.

A user has been using her laptop for several years and uses Outlook for her POP3 email.
When we installed a server and joined her laptop to the domain she was unable to see her email without logging out of the server and logging back into her local account.
How do I let her domain profile be the same as her local profile?

The flash drive icon on my computer is being shown as a file and when i double click it , it says that access is denied, i can only access it through explorer now, is this a virus?

I think that I recovered some of my emails and documents after accidently reformatting my computer. However I can't seem to open the documents.
Some say its a shortcut, others are like a pst folder. Plus there were things.
Hope this makes sense. How do I actually open these folders now? It looks like there is something there given the size of it.
Maybe its the blonde in me. I did the recovery with ISO mechanics if that makes a difference.

Thanks so much for any help. These are work documents and spent hours on them and I also had very important emails saved in folder with outlook.

C:\Documents and Settings\_your_login_\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook\

IF outlook runs at all, then find the specific PST that has a meaningful size and is post dated -- dbl click on it and it should open with all the old content

I went and reformatted my computer, (major issues with it)
Long story short I don't have any of my saved outlook emails etc.
Is there anyway of recovering them? I thought that I did find some but they are

You will probably need to use a data recovery program. Most of these are rather expensive however, there are a few free ones around. I've used Pandora Recovery for a lot of clients and had rather positive results.

My smartphone used to sync with the office Exchange Server, but I now want to sync my Outlook contacts with my home PC using standalone Outlook 2003. My PC runs XP SP2 and ActiveSync 4.5. Smartphone is Windows Mobile 6 Standard.

It looks as if I cannot sync Exchage Server contacts to standalone Outlook - if I try to switch to synching with Outlook it tells me the contacts on my phone will be deleted. Is there a safe way of diong this? I would rather retype all my contacts from the phone screen than risk losing them - I can no longer access my former office's Exchange Server.

When composing an e-mail in Outlook 2007 (Vista), the typing never wraps round to the next line; it types as one continuous line from left to right. What do you do to change this back to multi-line?

I hope I'm putting this in the right place and I know it's probably I really simplistic question, but here it is:

I have Comcast Cable internet via modem that connects to my DLink 4500 gaming router. I have a PC(wired) , Laptop (wireless), another PC(wired), and XBox360(wireless) all connected to the Cable internet and home network.

I was thinking about changing my Comcast mail to Outlook express -- is this a good Idea? Can it be done? If so how do I do it? If I do it will all my mail accounts go through Outlook or can I just do mine and not my son's and husband's? Sorry again if this is not the place, but I figured you're used to newbies not knowing where to post. Thanks

Every time I compose a new message in Outlook Express and use MIDI music as a background the SW SYNTH in audio gets knocked back to zero. This only happens in OLEXP, toherwise MIDI's play OK.

I have just noticed that my sata optiarc ad-7200s dvdrw drive is shown as a cd drive under the my computer screen. I have looked and downloaded the new firmware version available for the drive with no change.
Does anyone know how I can get the system to recognise the drive as a dvd drive? I also have an unknown high definition audio device that does not have any drivers for it and I cannot seem to find what it actually is in the computer. Could both problems be related?

I've ahd the issue with the dvd-rw looking like a cd drive. But as soon as i put a dvd disk in it re-blesses it with the correct format, and doesn't operate any differently tbh.

As regards the unknown audio device, have you tried deleting it from device manager, rebooting and letting it plug'n'play to see if it finds drivers?

Help! How can I share Outlook 2007 Calendar on 3 networked computers running vista home premium? Don't wanna spend 700 bucks for Exchange Server. Can it be done?

For workgroup users (ie those without a domain controller), it is done by sharing
each appointment;


create or open an appointment
click the Attendee Availability tab
at the lower left, click Invite Others
enter the name of the Contact and click find
when selected, click Required or Optional
repeat for all attendees
when done, click OK
as each Contact receives the appointment by email, they accept or decline the schedule
their calendar and yours are updated
and the status of all can be seen using the radio button Show Attendee Status

Lots of valuable information in that file I'd like to access. I was able to create a new Outlook file in safe mode so I guess the program is OK.

It was suggested to me recently the cause may have been due to me having Microsoft Service Pack 1 at the time. I had not updated to Service Pak 2 (which I now believe has been updated to Service Pak 3). Has anyone had experience with this and, if so, do you think there's a chance that if I update my Service Pak that I might still have a chance of recovering the data I had in my original Outlook file?

Hi I have this problem we have a server running exchange server. There is 3 computers connected to the server running outlook. On 1 of the computers all of the emails have been deleted how can i restore the emails back onto this computer the other 2 computers have all of the emails.

I have XP, and a Samsung laser printer. I made that the default printer. At first it worked. Now, it says it is "offline," and several "copies" of the printer icon show up under "printers," called Samsung (copy 1), etc. When I tell it to print a document, it goes in the queue and stays there--no printing!
Can someone tell me why copies of the printer icon proliferate, and why it won't print?

Remove all those printers copies and keep the first that doesn't have (copyX) next to it. Now you need to purge the print spooler buffer. To do this you need to click on start, then on run: Type: services.msc

scroll down for the print spooler once you find this you just need to right click on it then click on restart. That's it.

Try to print something again..

If that doesn't work then uninstall the driver. Then unplug the printer. Reboot the system. Then install the driver again. Nex connect the printer.

I am encountering a bizarre issue synchronizing a Motorola Q to our in-house Exchange server. Topically, everything is working as expected. The problem at hand is, at seemingly random intervals, the Outlook inbox as well as the Q Outlook inbox randomly marks all messages as read; as would be expected, this is creating havoc in matters of scheduling, &c. I have searched all of the Outlook settings, as well as all available Outlook-related options on the Q to no avail. Has anyone had any experience with these phones or any such synchronization issues? Outlook 2003 is completely updated; I am not sure about the version of the Q's firmware, but would assume, considering the phone is new, that it is probably the latest version....

Any ideas?

I have a weird problem connection problem when I to go to Outlook. The connection says authorizing then a timeout error. This problem comes and goes. Does anyone have a thought as to what this might be?

I have a Soyo Dragon 2 MB and have changed my memory to 4 modules of 256m eg ddr. Problem is that the Bios on indicates 512 meg and SIW only shows 128 meg in each slot. Since all slots are there same it is now Dual Channel. Why don't I show IGigB of memory?

i recently built this p3 system its running windows 98se...lol dont laugh

everything on the system is running fine, just recently i decided to add my secondary HDD from my other computer to the p3 system becuase i want to be able to listen to all my music files.

anyways i installed the hardware (correctly) lol so dont ask to to check the cables or jumper cuz they are set in the correct position.

wierd thing is when i click on my computer, only my C drive appears... not my secondary drive..

when i go to the device manager it shows both drives. and it also says there working properly and there are no conflicts..

my guess is win98 doesnt automatically assign a driver letter ie.{F:} to the drive.

any ideas on how i could enable the driver so i can access my files?

Right click on My Computer, click manage, then go to disk management. You should see both volumes there and assign a drive letter.

Is the printer supposed to work? Mine doesn't follow what the manual says. Specifically, the toner save button doesn't work. When I press it it doesn't turn the light on and off. Print result is the same. The only way I can change the toner save is through the software.

I have just lost every thing on O/Exp, all folders, emails the lot, it now looks like the first time I ran with O/Exp all the basic folders are there but empty, I have tried restore but it's just the same. Have done a search and what comes up is the same empty O/Exp. I have a feeling that the start up may be inhibited as I had a start up progame and monitor which I have just deleted. HELP, if the wife finds out I will be made to do the ironing for a month aaah.

I have one HD in my computer. It is a Seagate 100G and came with the computer. I reinstalled Windows and computer worked and restarted. The next day when I turned computer on it showed nothing as Master. In the BIOS it showed the drive as slave. I manually entered the drive into the Master in the BIOS, but without success. This happened once before. Both times I had removed the HD and reinstalled it. The last time I turned off the switch in the back of the machine, and the next day it booted normally. Now it continues to show it as slave, and obviously Windows cannot load.
Does anyone have any clue as to 1) Why this happens and 2) how can I fix it.

A:HD is shown as slave in BIOS.

First, it absolutely doesn't matter if your drive is master or slave. Both devices are equal in every respect on an IDE channel, only difference is that BIOSes and operating systems enumerate master devices first.

Your hard drive appears as slave either because of its position on the IDE cable or a jumper setting on the drive.

How are you downloading? Many downloading programs preallocate the space for the files being downloaded so even if you have only 100KB of a 700MB file it will still use the whole 700MB of disk.

SequoiaView is a pretty program that will tell you in what files your disk space hides in.

I built a complete new system w/200GB HDD. XP setup only allowed 137GB. I installed anyhow. Is there any way to get the rest of the hard drive space back w/o losing everything?

Yes.

First you have to figure out whether the 137GB limitation is caused by your hardware or software.

You may need a BIOS update and/or enable 48-bit disk addressing in Windows.
After that you can just create another partition after the one you already have.

in the book we got with the mother board it says to boot from a serial ata hd

1 advanced bios features - (SATA) RAID / SCSI boot order "SATA"
2 advanced bios features -1st boot devise "SCSI

problem being is number 1 as i do not have the option to choose SATA

any idea's how to solve this prob please

How can this be.

I have the 2 computers side by side, same OS xp home on the same broadband connection, not connecting through each other.

But on the laptop I can access the internet send email but get this message when trying to recieve.

I was wondering....can you keep Emails during a format. I have a 80Gig HDD partitioned into 3 drives.

I would like to keep the emails I have on the C:/, although I cant finds the actuall files. All I have to do is copy them onto 1 of the other drives. Would it work if I just copied the outlook folder onto another drive?

If I remember correctly, Outlook stores e-mails somewhere deep into Application Data directory. It might vary from version to version, too.
Or was it just Outlook Express? hmm..

Ok I've got a question about synchronizing my handheld. I currently have it setup to synchronize with the palm software, but I would like to change this to synchronize with Outlook instead. I know this is possible, but I just can't seem to find it in the options anywhere. If anyone has done this or know how please let me know. I am using a Handspring Visor Deluxe. Good afternoon,

I use a spread sheet which contains Check Boxes, that I manually tick to show a task has been fully completed. I have a basic formula that calculates returned items, and once it reaches 0 (all returned) I tick the box. I wish to have the Check Box auto-tick itself once the returned items count reaches 0. I'm damned certain this is possible, but beyond my abilities. I know you can have formulas to display text once a Check Box is ticked, I am kinda trying to do it the other way around.

You are correct, it is possible.

What you need to do is learn the Visual Basic for Applications coding in Excel. Then you can add code that runs every time the sheet calculates (basically when something changes on the page). The code can check the status of a cell and change the status of another cell (or object in your case) based on criteria you have coded.

I'm not a programmer but playing with Excel Macros (VBA coding) and manipulating excel cells is a long time hobby of mine.

The easiest way to learn is to record Macro's and then study the code. It is easier learning the code if know first hand what it does. After you are familiar with how the code works, you will be surprised at how easy it is to code your own macros. Once you have the macro working for you, it is easy to move the code and have it run every time the sheet loads, calculates, closes, or several other possibilities.

This is my first time posting here, so I apologize in advance for any faux pas in my postings. I'm in hopes that someone out there can help with this problem.

We've had several users in the office run into the problem of the message text disappearing from an e-mail when they send it. (No, it isn't user error.) No error messages appear, everything seems fine. However, when the user looks at the message in the Sent folder (to print it for reference or whatever), the text of the message is gone. The addressees receive blank messages. Any attachments are still attached, but the text of the message is not there.

What causes this? How do we fix it? Any ideas, anyone?

After installing the latest Windows updates, I was unable to open any Word or Excel programs on my computer. The doc opened, but immediately an error message dialogue box came up:

Error message: Microsoft Office cannot verify the license for this product. You should repair the Office program by using Control Panel.

The only 2 options available were to click the X to close, or click OK button. Both resulted in the doc closing.

Control panel --> Office did not display an option to repair.

I run Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit and Office 2010 Home and Student ... both legitimate store bought products with product keys.

I even tried to uninstall and re-install Office with no change in the results.

I uninstalled the Windows updates with no change, then re-installed them.

System restore did nothing to change the issue.

I would appreciate any help with this issue.

I need to move 8 of my email accounts to a different PC that already has MS Outlook running on it with a number of other email addresses that I need to monitor. I would prefer not to add the new email addresses to Outlook and would prefer to access them on a separate email client. What are the best choices in this regard? Obviously, Outlook and the client would need to play nice with each other, but that shouldn't be a problem, these days should it? I ask because the last time I needed to do this, I used Outlook and Eudora and they did not have any issues with each other, even running simultaneously. Yes, I know, I am getting old...

I don't think that it exists, but an email client that works with Outlook calendar invites would be ideal.

I've been using Thunderbird for years and have yet to find anything to replace it. At this point I've migrated all of my accounts over to it and have nothing bad to say about.

As for calendars, I don't really know if you can integrate the Outlook calendar to it. There is an extension called "Lightning". That will integrate with Google calendar but that's as far as I've ever had to go with setting up a calendar in Thunderbird.

And for the record... I followed a near identical upgrade path as you did from the late 90s Eudora to Outlook (up to 2007) then finally just jumped ship. Haven't looked back.

I did an xp installation for a friend. I copied the store folder & iaf files from outlook express to a external drive.
When the XP install was complete - I imported the IAF file - mail sends & receives ok. However when I change the location of the store - I get an error on send and receive mail ?

Any ideas ?

I definitely believe it's a corrupt user profile for Outlook 2003, but I can't seem to locate these files in Doc & settings or Application data as instructed. I can login to XP under visitor and open Outlook (minus my contacts etc.)

Under Doc's & settings I have all users, guest, my 1st name and my initials in addition to a qbdataserviceuser. Neither of which have "application data" or "local settings"in them. What am I doing wrong or not getting...Best Regards

Recently a Windows Defender definition update has been automatically applied to my Win 7 system. Immediately after this I am unable to access my calendar in Outlook - email, tasks etc all ok, just when accessing my calendar Outlook hangs and I have to kill it off. I have reset my laptop to a known, safe restore point several times but each time the update occurs and the problem re-occurs.

I do not run automatic updates but this one is seen as citical and is applied. I have even tried to hide the update but no luck.

Anyone else having the problem? Any ideas on how to fix it?

I have a Outlook 2010 User, when he sends and recieve email, the status box shows offline address book hangs. However, he can still send and recieve emails. I have tried deleting the OST, recreated outlook profile, and redoing the local profile on windows 7 .

If you are working with an OST file (with an Exchange server), then enable the cached exchange mode because somewhere it makes processing of Outlook faster.

I would like to move my old mail messages into another file (not in outlook) where they would still be searchable (like they are in outlook). There are over 20K messages in my archive folder and over 20K in my current inbox folder. These are messages to an email forum I subscribe to and I often utilize the information so I need to be able to access it, but it is slowing down my outlook and search for other items unrelated to these emails. Suggestions?

I would think some smart computer geek (and I use that term as an accolade) could
come up with a Firefox Add-On that could automatically, or selectively as desired,
be embedded in or attached to emails irregardless of browser that would be activated
upon opening and send notification to the sender that it has been opened.

If legal constraints require, it could maybe ask for permission to send notification,
but that kind of nullifies lots of the reasons for something like that in the first place.

What is it with M$ - and why do their improvements turn out to be worse than the originals?
Live mail email handler is a case in point - beware that if you ever create and setup a @mail.com account on the thing it will wipe any previously installed accounts or logins whether you have a @live.com account or not. The contacts listing is vanished for you too.
Getting it back would have been tedious if I had not had a @hotmail.com account to install and log into instead - at least I got all my messages and contact lists back.

I've got office 2010 and for my calender I'm using outlook 2010's
but if I don't start outlook I miss a reminder that I have setup.

Is there anyway to have a calender always running in my task bar
to set appointments & keep an eye on my schedule during the day
instead of always having to start outlook or keep it running.

Hi. I've looked through teh Google results, but I can't find anything. Maybe I'm using the wrong search terms.

In Outlook (specifically 2013) you can press Today to go to the calendar view for today.

My problem is, that this doesn't auto-update. The next day rolls around, but the calendar view sticks. I need it to auto-update.

Any ideas?

I am trying to back up a partition 'N' on my hard drive to external hard drive 'G'.My operating system is windows xp. In the past I have never had any problem doing that.
Now I am getting a message 'Completed with errors'.
Expanding the message, I get following list of lines:
Operation Office_N started.
Priority changed to low.

Analyzing partition 'D'.
Analyzing partition 'C'.
Analyzing partition 'N'.
Analyzing partition 'G'.

I am also surprised why it says incremental backup when I gave it new file name Office_N to backup to.

Hi,

This issue has been happening for over 2 years, Godaddy can't help so I thought asking other members for help.

It seems every few days I lose emails, I also spent $80 last-year for Unlimited emails but nothing changes.

The first Month it happened I connected Thunderbird and Godaddy reset the servers and all my emails appeared again. Its a endless battle and the topper was my Unlimited service expired so they closed my email address.

I currently have 5000 emails in my Thunderbird program but 38 emails when logged into the Godaddy client? The funny thing my sent emails don't get deleted have everything from 2011.

Thunderbird downloads everything automatically and doesn't delete a thing.

Hoping a few members can help me.

In my Excel 2010 workbook there is a cell with the value of "90" in type of number/general. When I go to find and replace dialog box and try to find the number "90" by typing it in Find what rectangle, then I want the program looks for it in formulas (look in: Formulas). But it shows that "90" as the result! Why? I said it to look for it in Formulas not in values.

Hi,

I can't get my emails in my web outlook to stay in the inbox, what happens if i have outlook closed then emails sent to me will appear in my web outlook but once i open outlook and do a send\ receive then all the messages will disappear from the web outlook.
It must be just some setting, but i can't find it, any ideas would be most welcome.

It sounds like the web outlook and outlook are set to receive email from a the same account as I said above it is to do with the POP3 and SMTP Settings

Who is your Internet Service Provider

SMTP
smtp.blueyonder.co.uk
If these settings are in both email programs if you only have one email program open is that will pick up your email but what happens is when you open up the a second email program that will also pick up your email from the same server thus taking any mail from the other email program.

So check your settings.

All of a sudden I'm having problems with Yahoo mail. Has been working good for years.

It has problems displaying the original email when I want to make a reply,
and when I can make a reply it won't send it and the reply disappears.
Doesn't even put it in Drafts.

Using Firefox and Win 7 (Starter on my little borrowed lap while I finish repairing my desktop) and IE and Win 7 at work - is it anything to do with that?

Is this a Yahoo mail system wide problem or is there something I can do about it?
Very frustrating to type a 15 minute reply only to have it disappear!

I'm trying to read the e-mails from my old Windows 98 computer on my current Windows XP computer but I haven't been able to figure out how to successfully do this. The e-mail client on the Windows 98 machine was Outlook Express 6 and the one on my current XP computer is Outlook 2002.

I followed the instructions listed on the Microsoft support site (Article ID: 270670) for backing up the data from Outlook Express which left me with a folder of .dbx files (Inbox.dbx, Drafts.dbx etc) which I then burned onto a CD and transferred over to my XP computer. My problem is that now that I've done that I'm not sure how to get Outlook 2002 to import that folder of .dbx files or recognize it. I googled it but didn't find any helpful results other than links to expensive conversion programs. So could anyone here offer any help on the matter? Thanks in advance.

Update: I realized that Outlook can't open the .dbx files and that Outlook Express has to export them to Outlook. However, when I tried this it only exported the messages in my "Sent" folder and none of the messages in any of the other folders, including Inbox.dbx which is about 500MB in size so I know the messages are in there. Any advice on what to do next?

Hi Everyone
I hope someone can help or just shoot me.. LOL

Anyhow, MSOE was working fine for over a year, now it tries to install and config every time I open the program AND send and receive email. I have to hit cancel install with every email received otherwise it just keeps trying to install itself. Needless to say, I have several thousand emails I need to download and i can't sit at my computer and hit the cancel button in between receiving each email.

I've uninstalled and re-installed my entire Microsoft Office and it still does the same thing and have spent hours online looking for a solution. If anyone can go to a gotomeeting session with me so I can show you, I would be very grateful.

Please help if you can.

Hi,

In the past 2 weeks, I've noticed that all my emails are being sent twice, even though I'm only pressing "Send" once. Why is this and what can I do to stop it happening?

I have Windows Vista and use Office Outlook from Office Standard 2007.

Try and disable your AV integration with Outlook and test.

Disable the incoming and outgoing email scanning from your AV and also if Anti Spam filtering is set disable that also.

You will still be protected with your resident AV program.

After I dropped my laptop I could get no access at all but was able to remove the Hard drive and with the aid of a reader I was able to recover "my documents". But so far not the contents of Outlook express (e-mails sent and received and my address book).

What is the file path for recovering these items as I cannot launch Outlook express to carry out an export?

A person is using Outlook 2007. We recently migrated from Exchange server 2003 to 2010. The person claims that she had an e-mail with an attachment, and she opened the attachment once, but now when she goes into Outlook the e-mail no longer has an attachment. This happened two times with differnt senders.

Is this possible or is it that the person got confused to what she was doing?

I use outlook express for accessing my rediffmailpro account, some how when i try to sent a message, it shows the following error:

The message could not be sent because one of the recipients was rejected by the server. Help! I have windows 8.1
All my emails (in,sent, drafts, etc) are in my recycle bin. When I restore them they disappear from the recycle bin...but when I go into my email ..everything that I restored pops back into the recycle bin.

I have located the message storage in my c drive and copy'd it all to a new folder but the shows nothing in it.
I have opened "hidden folders"..nada.

I use windows live mail. I have Verizon, which is POP3 which has worked fine until now.

ANY CLUES????

Hi,

*Unable to send emails to external contacts. Only able to send emails to internal contacts.*
*Using Microsoft Exchange.*

I tried to send out an email to internal and external contacts in the first place but then Outlook prompted to restart. I restarted the Outlook thought maybe its the add-ins problem so I enable the add-ins but then when I try to send out the email again, it did not ask me to restart but close the program instead.

Did a test send to internal contacts only and it sent out (works) but with external contacts it gives the prompt again.

Problem solved: I deleted the Outlook profile and recreated it. Test send to internal and external contacts, WORKS!

*But instead of recreate the profile, are there any other ways to solve the issue?*

In my Excel 2010 file there are three sheets. I can navigate between them by clicking on the sheets on the bottom left hand side, next to Sheet tab scroll buttons.

But I can't use "Sheet tab scroll buttons" because when clicking on them they don't do anything. I don't know what is the problem.

Is there anyone who knows the reason please?

Looks like it depends on whether the horizontal scroll bar is hiding the tabs or not. In the 1st pic, all the tabs are visible. Clicking on the arrows did nothing. Whereas in the 2nd pic, only the 1st tab is visible, clicking on the arrows will move you to the previous/next tab.

Hi!

I have office 2010 ready to install on my computer, but many people I work with still use office 2007. Am I likely to get into compatibility issues when we exchange files (mostly Word and Excel, btw)?

You are very unlikely to have any issues exchanging those file types. I use both versions on different machines and have had no issues opening files I've created on either machine with the other machines.

HELP PLEASE i just installed windows 7 works great (fine)
then i install outlook and set it up with gmail imap
then i get server cirtifacate error i tryed uninstalling outlook but it did not help
so now its just on ie8 dose anyone know how to fix or disable this

You could just add an exception. The service for my school e-mail is stupid, because the school basically created its own certificate, which is unrecognized by any web browser. So you have to ignore the error or add an exception to access mail.

scanpst.exe does not recognize the corrupt file as a .pst so it will not run. Is there anything else I can try

So I had an issue where I couldn't access Microsoft Office 2010. I had recently installed a trial version of 2013 to open some documents that I had put onto my USB; I think this may have had a problem with the other version. Microsoft 2010 wouldn't open, though I can't remember what the error said. This Microsoft 2010 was already installed on my laptop and I'm sure it wasn't a trial version. I was told to uninstall Microsoft 2010 so I went to control panel>uninstall program>Microsoft 2010 English (I was told to not uninstall the Microsoft 2010 click to run). After I uninstalled Microsoft 2010 English, I couldn't find Microsoft 2010 click to run but I could still see it as an option of a program to uninstall. How do I get Microsoft Office 2010 back?

In an effort to make my email more friendly and portable, I set up an Outlook.com account. I followed the instructions to migrate my contacts via a .csv file. When I go to the "People" tile in Outlook.com, all the contacts are there, but when I try to use the "To" button to start composing a new email, it does not have the contacts listed. Any insight on what might be going on?

From what program/service did you export your contacts? I just tried it w/ Gmail. I randomly selected couple names and exported them as a csv file for Outlook. Then from Outlook.com, I imported the file. The names showed up in People, and when I began typing in the To box, the name of the contact appeared. The normal behavior.

Then I randomly selected couple other names in Gmail, but this time exported them as a csv for Gmail. I was able to import this file in Outlook.com. The names showed up in People but no other info got imported. No email addresses and no phone numbers. And typing these names into the To box didn't bring up anything. Information was in the csv file, but the fields are arranged differently between the two files.

Perhaps this is what's causing your problem. See if you can export a csv file compatible w/ Outlook.

I just worked through a malware problem I had here. It seems to have screwed up Outlook. When I open it I get this warning.

Sorry about the bad crop job, I was in a hurry. If I click OK on that waring Outlook opens for 10-20 seconds and then closes very quickly. Where should I start? BTW, it looks like I have lost all of my emails but I am hoping to save my contacts.

What worked for me was a program called Address Magic Plus. Like you, I was trying to go from Windows Live to Outlook and this did it for me. The Plus version exports & imports your address book, email, etc. It was worth it to me. Hi Guys and girls,

hope someone can help me. I just replaced my hard drive and it is operating with Windows 7. I have installed Office 2007 with the disk I got when I bought it. It was originally for operating on Vista.

I have set up outlook with my email accounts to send and receive from but the message I am getting when trying to send and receive is "The operation failed. An object could not be found'.

I have uninstalled and re-installed office. I have run the service pack 3 for the SQL server and still it won't work.

Can anyone give me another option other than paying someone to do it?

I just completed the steps to remove a virus from my computer with the help of Broni in the malware forum. I went to launch Outlook and I am prompted to create a new profile. I have searched the computer for a .PST file and none are found. Is there any way to get my profile back so I wont loose all my contacts?

I know that I can set Outlook to download every so-many minutes - and in essence I could tell it to download every 1440 minutes (once-a-day), but how do I know exactly at what time it would do this?
