Why Firefox Portable invisible on Mozilla site?

Q: Why Firefox Portable invisible on Mozilla site?

Anyone know why Firefox 6.0 final portable is invisible on Mozilla?

Every time I want to get Firefox portable I have to download from some other site. Anyone have a clue why they keep hiding it on Mozilla? It's really frustrating!

Preferred Solution: Why Firefox Portable invisible on Mozilla site?

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/directdownload.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

The other day I got this message "401 The web site is blocked by administrator". I didn't know how that got on there and I've had no luck turning it off. I saw a post about this for Internet Explorer but nothing for Mozilla firefox. Can you help me unblock sites on mozilla firefox? Thanks.

A:401 The web site is blocked by administrator Mozilla Firefox

Dear Technology Fail,
Clear the "cache" in FF3 and i am providing a link below as to how you go about it.https://www.adaptavist.com/display/Support/Clearing+Browser+Cache+FireFox+3

After clearing the cache ,restart the computer and it may help. Make it a point to clear "private data" after every session like i do! I use only FF3 and not IE.

There are 4 places that a webpage can be blocked from a user's home network:

1. The router. Resetting the router by unplugging it and plugging it back in won't work. Make sure you use the reset button. This will give you a 404, not 401.

2. A personal firewall installed on the PC. Windows Firewall and ZoneAlarm are examples. This will give you 404, not 401 though.

3. Your hosts file. In windows XP it is located in c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc. In windows 95/98 it is in c:\windows. This will also give you 404, not 401.

4. Your browser. If you have placed a website in a restriced zone, you won't be able to access. Check your browser settings to see which ones are there. This will give you a 401 error, not 404. Make sure that cookies are enabled for the website you are trying to visit.

401 is access denied. 404 is page not found.

problem is: Firefox loads then redirects me to fp.pc-on-internet.com or occasionally other sites. I have scanned with various programs, no indication of virus or other problems. I have blocked scrips and used adblock to stop problems. If I block the site firefox will not load. says it has been partially blocked. Have deleted firefox, done deep scan with norton and reloaded firefox, still same. Getting extremely annoying. Any assistance would be appreciated.

A:Mozilla Firefox redirects to junk site

Highjackthis Instructions

Make sure you have the LATEST version of HJT (currently v2.0.0.2) it can be downloaded from HERE
Run the HijackThis Installer and it will automatically place HJT in C:\Program Files\TrendMicro\HijackThis\HijackThis.exe. Please don't change the directory.
After installing, the program launches automatically, select Scan now and save a log
After the scan is complete please attach your log onto the forums using the paper clip icon above your reply.

Download window is not visible in Mozilla. Though the file finally appears in the Destination. Even Images are not saved, when used "Save Image as".

? Whats the problem, is it with browser settings, i used ctrl+j to view downloads, but it isn't showing anything.

Awaiting your reply....

A:Downloads Invisible in Mozilla

It could be that somehow the default "Show the Downloads window when downloading a file." option isn't checked.
What I would recommend is the add-on Download Manager Tweak which allows you to change the appearance of the downloads display and allows it to be opened in a separate window, a new tab, or the sidebar.

Hi!

I've been using Firefox Portable from my flashdrive for a long time, adding a lot of skins, addons, passwords and sertificates. Is it posible to transfer all this information to a normal Firefox instalation? I wanted to copy some directories, but it seems like the directory structure is somewhat diferent on a normal instalation than my portable version.
Btw, I'm using firefox 3.

Thanks

A:Copy configuration from Firefox portable to Firefox

Here's info the other way around, so just reverse what they say
ie copy from Portable to your normal Firefox

Hello and welcome to the forums! My secret agent name on the forums is SweetTech (you can call me ST for short), it's a pleasure to meet you. I am very sorry for the delay in responding, but as you can see we are at the moment being flooded with logs which, when paired with the never-ending shortage of helpers, resulted in the delayed responding to your thread.I would be glad to take a look at your log and help you with solving any malware problems. If you have since resolved the issues you were originally experiencing, or have received help elsewhere, please inform me so that this topic can be closed. If you have not, please adhere to the guidelines below and then follow instructions as outlined further below:Logs from malware removal programs (OTL is one of them) can take some time to analyze. I need you to be patient while I analyze any logs you post. Please remember, I am a volunteer, and I do have a life outside of these forums.
Please make sure to carefully read any instruction that I give you. Attention to detail is important! Since I cannot see or directly interact with your computer I am dependent on you to "be my eyes" and provide as much information as you can regarding the current state of your computer.
If you're not sure, or if something unexpected happens, do NOT continue! Stop and ask!
In Windows Vista and Windows 7, all tools need to be started by right clicking and selecting Run as Administrator!
If I instruct you to download a specific tool in which you already have, please delete the copy that you have and re-download the tool. The reason I ask you to do this is because these tools are updated fairly regularly.
Do not do things I do not ask for, such as running a spyware scan on your computer. The one thing that you should always do, is to make sure sure that your anti-virus definitions are up-to-date!
Please do not use the Attachment feature for any log file. Do a Copy/Paste of the entire contents of the log file and submit it inside your post.
I am going to stick with you until ALL malware is gone from your system. I would appreciate it if you would do the same. From this point, we're in this together ;)
Because of this, you must reply within three days failure to reply will result in the topic being closed!
Lastly, I am no magician. I will try very hard to fix your issues, but no promises can be made. Also be aware that some infections are so severe that you might need to resort to reformatting and reinstalling your operating system.

Firefox has been freezing up on me, and when I close it down, I get a bluescreen error. It also happens a lot of the time when I close Firefox down normally. This was happening before I updated to the latest version of FF. I am running Windows XP, and have recently started using ZoneAlarm and Avast on my system.

A:Firefox closes = bluescreen error? (Moved for the mozilla/Firefox Forum)

Hi,

Can you give us the error in full that you are getting. Also, I would check and make sure that ZoneAlarm and Avast are allowing FF to connect to the internet.

Cheers!

pls. help me who knows how to block website in mozilla firefox?

A:pls. help me.. how to block site in mozilla??

Block a website? as in stop people from viewing it/it from loading in a popup?

This add-on stops a link to the site being clicked: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/3145

If you want to stop the site from ever reaching your pc you could add it to the hosts file:
- Click start-run
- Type "notepad C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts"
- Press run
- Append the line:

Code:
127.0.0.1 www.thewebsitetoblock.com
and any time www.thewebsitetoblock.com is requested (by a browser etc) it will redirect to your own PC.

Cheers,

I don't know if my problem is Firefox or WordPress but I thought I'd try here first.
I use WordPress to publish articles and usually copy and paste from the finished article in the Articles forum to WordPress but since I reinstalled Win 7 this no longer works as paste is no longer an option when I right click in WordPress, or at least in the particular part that I need it to. I can, however, do it in Internet Explorer, but images aren't copied over, which they used to be. I've tried all the usual things like clearing the cache, but nothing has worked. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

A:Is this Win 7 or Firefox at fault? Moved from Mozilla/Firefox browsers

Hi,
I am using Win-7 too but I haven't used IE. So my suggestion is to, try another browser for the same purpose and then see the effects (I feel firefox is well suited for the purpose). If you are getting same problems then, you are missing with some features of Win-7 otherwise, it is the website issue.

Hi All,

I am facing problem in accessing the following site http://www.gulfnews.com/home/index.html

Whenever I access it in IE the window freezes and after a long delay the whole site appears and in one go. This might be because IE does not show the table untill the content in it is completely loaded and if the site uses nested table structure it becomes a problem. However when the same site is accessed in Mozilla Firefox, the site is working fine. The site mentioned above has a nested table structure.

Is there any way that this problem can be solved? Thank you in advance...

A:Site is very slow on IE but fast in Mozilla

Well, Firefox is much more sophisticated and advanced than our friend, IE. Firefox can handle Java and Flash a lot better than IE, also. This site (http://www.gulfnews.com/home/index.html) requires Flash.

Running a MAC OS X using Parallels to run Vista. So in Vista I am using WordPress to do a web site hosted by Dreamhost when I discovered that when I went to my domain using Mozilla I get redirected to a suspicious site "targetedinfo.com" I changed my FTP password for word press and even deleted the domain from dreamhost to insure that wordpress was removed from my site which I suspected was the problem. I used Mozilla to install WordPress. I went to my site host and put up web site under construction which is what is seen from any computer except mine.

When I visit my domain from the infected computer using Mozilla I get redirected, when I use IE I do not get redirected. To make matters worse when I use Mozilla or Safari from the MAC OS X I get redirected.

Hi Guys

I am new to this forum and have limited knowledge of computers.
I was using Firefox version 2 and was very happy until I was requested to download version 3. Now I seem to have endless crashes and keep getting told Firefox has a problem & needs to close. Up to 5 x a day.

This is very frustrating.
This happens with avg, facebook ,all internet functions.

I have spybot running and avg and says there are no problems.

We had a power failure earlier yesterday and when I switched back on Microsoft suggested I check the C drive as there was a problem -but that seems to have sorted itself out.-probably due to not closing down properly.

So can you help me with detailed instructions on how to fix forefox or totally remove it and install from the beginning or is there major problems with that version 3 .1 ?

Thanks
Carol

I recently heard about FireFox portable, and I decided to try it. I loved the idea of notleaving files on the computer you're using. Great. I downloaded it, and installed the various add-ons and such to make it exactly like the version I have on my computer. One issue, though. It seems that the add-ons are being saved on the computer tather than the USB drive I have Portable installed on.

Basically, I am asking if there's a way to get those files I have downloaded and amdownloading onto my USB, while still having them work with FireFox Portable? (I think the issue is that the program is telling the files to go to the computer, as that's where FF looks)

I am not entirely sure if it is possible to save add ons to standard portable Firefox, however I have U3 capable flash drive and I use U3 portable Firefox and I have all my add ons, themes, cookies, and more on the drive and they work everywhere on any PC (not vista, go figure)

Hi all. I am using Firefox Portable 2.0 on a USB stick. I have ClamWin antivirus software but I was wondering if there was some adware/spyware protection available like spywareblaster that would work from a USB stick, or perhaps a database of sites that should be blocked. (I assume that it would be unwise to use the browser without extra security software?)

Thanks.

I've installed the Portable version of Mozilla Firefox, latest version, to my USB drive, under the PortableApps platform. How do I get Firefox to automatically save things into its own Data directory on the drive, instead of on the host OS system? The drive gets assigned different drive letters across computers. Is there something I can do with the directory paths and percent symbols?

Thanks!

A:Firefox Portable Installation Directory

Hello. I saw your question, and decided to try this myself. i downloaded portable apps, just the platform itself., THEN downloaded the portable firefox from their site. I installed portable apps on my 8gb USB thumbdrive in a folder I made called Apps. I ran the installed startportable aps.exe from the apps folder and clicked "install new app" and installed the downloaded firefox portable.

So, with that done and firefox now showing up on my portable apps area, I launched it, brought up a forum, signed in, saved my password, and then bookmarked the forum. I closed portable apps, removed my thumbdrive, took that thumbdrive to my other computer, the bookmarks were still there in portable firefox. I bookmarked a page on my other pc, then closed potable apps, removed the thumbdrive and put it back in my current pc, that bookmark was there as well.

What data are you saying isn't being saved to the USB and is being saved to the host PC?

Oh, I also installed a add-on to firefox before i tried it in my other pc, and it said that the add-on was there when I moved the thumbdrive to the other pc.

A:Firefox 2 Portable Or Full Version

Hi mypenry,The Portable version is designed if you want to use Firefox on several computers and/or take it with you where ever you go.It only downloads onto a USB Flash Drive but doesn't install onto the users computer, where the Full version of Firefox D/L's and installs onto the computer.Being a Portable App, it actually has all the features of the Full Version of Firefox. So it really depends on your needs.

Hi, is there any way to transfer all the settings, extensions, passwords, bookmarks, etc. from Portable Firefox to the regular Firefox installed on the computer, and vice-versa? I tried MozBackup, but it didn't seem to work. Is there any other way?

Thanks,
k0shyX

A:Transferring Settings Between Portable and Regular Firefox

k0shyX,

You will have to do that manually, i.e., copy individual files/folders. Since the Profile is set up differently for the portable Firefox, it wouldn't be possible to simply copy the Profile from one application to the other.

I a bunch of duplicate files in the Profile folder and if I change something in one computer, the other one won't be sync. I do close one instance of FF before opening the other one; I also check that the files have been updated in Dropbox.

Is there a particular way I should do it?

A:Firefox Portable Files Wont Be Removed!

Hello,

I have never seen those files before, the main reasons I can think of that they can't be deleted are

1 Windows can't recognise the font,
2 could be malware related
3 the drive they are stored on is read only.

If the files don't matter, could you try to rename them? Am I correct in saying these files are on a removable drive?

Hi, recently I've been getting these weird screens popping up when I try and search something on ebay and also when I try and log into my internet banking, it seems to have started after installing firefox 8/9, I've uninstalled firefox and tried everything they recommend, disabled ad-ons, plugins etc.. and have scanned my computer for viruses with malwarebytes and found nothing, it seems like firefox has been hacked or something as the screen that pops up requests your credit card information, it also disables your ability to search on eBay and prevents you from being able to log into internet banking, I can do these things with google chrome without a problem but chrome still has more problems than firefox, firefox has also been freezing and not-responding, here are some screen shots, has anyone else encountered this problem?

I've been swimming through useless google results for hours.......
Can someone PLEASE tell me how to change the taskbar icon for Firefox Portable?

A few failed attempts........

Right clicking shortcut and choosing 'change icon' - only works for shortcut. Original FF icon still shows up on taskbar.

Using a resource hacker - have tried 5 so far, and none have worked. They only corrupt the .exe file for the browser and causes it not to launch.

Using very HARSH language - only temporarily relieves tension, icon problem remains.

I also cannot pin anything to the taskbar. I do not have admin rights on the cpu in questions.
So sick of not be being able to change something that should be so simple. Can someone please help?

A:Changing Taskbar Icon for Firefox Portable (Windows 7)

first of all create a shortcut to the .exe
then right click on the shortcut and click change icon
change it to the icon you want it to
delete the shortcut of your taskbar
replace it with the one you just created

A:portable chrome or firefox not listed as default programs

The only way I figured to use portable versions is to install the full version, then set it as default, and then you can use the portable version which Windows will detect as default, and use it like normal when opening links. There is no way to set a portable version as a default browser.

Whenever I launch Firefox Portable v27.0.1 (from PortableApps.com) from a removable SATA-III drive, I get a BSOD with description "BAD_POOL_HEADER", with Bug Check Code = 0x00000019.

This is a week-old Windows 7 Pro 64-bit SP1 installation, with all the most recent Windows Updates, on my new home-built desktop. (See system specs)

Everything runs fine from the main system disk, but Firefox Portable on the removable drive fails. The few other apps I've tried on the removable drive seem to work fine, but I haven't tried very many.

I've run Raxco's PerfectUpdater to check and update all drivers, and now it says there are no newer drivers.

BlueScreenView points to avgntflt.sys, which is part of my Avira AntiVirus suite, but the last time it blamed a USB driver, so it kinda looks like the culprit isn't always the same.

The requested info archive has been uploaded, and is attached. Thanks for your assistance.

Uninstall Avira. At least as a test. Use Microsoft Security Essentials as your antivirus with windows inbuilt firewall, and free MBAM as the on demand scanner.

Download, install and update those, and then run full system scans with both of them, one by one; for a security reason, as the installed antivirus failed.

You'll probably have to go in and remove all remnants of Firefox from your Users and Program Files directories. If this still doesn't fix it, then you'll probably end up doing some registry diving to fix it. Don't forget to backup the registry and know how to restore it before modifying it!

I used to use Netscape browser it was great then like most of us I moved over to Mozilla Firefox and it used to be great too Now However I get an update almost every week which annoys the hell out of me This thing seems to be getting more and more boated all the time The latest problem is half the time it won Firefox Mozilla t shut down I end up having to open taskmaster and shutting it down that way so I can then reopen it Mozilla Firefox up Mozilla Firefox Seems to want to run unseen in the background What s the cure for this Even rebooting the computer doesn t always shut it down Another problem is I seem to have lost the refresh button A real nuisance when you are bidding on an auction with just a minute to go I have tried to get it back from options toolbars to no avail I tried a while ago to download Opera and use this instead but it wouldn t load

A:Mozilla Firefox

Even though it did not work for you, I would still suggest:
Open Tools menu, choose Options... item,
Choose Advanced (over to the righthand side at the top),
open the tab labeled "Update".

You have three options and can choose exactly one of them: You would choose Either:
Check for Updates, but let me choose whether...
Or
Never Check for Updates.

The only question is, are these options and that path presented for you or not? Then, if they are, then do they fail for you when you had selected them?

I'm a newbierunning windows xp home edition version 2002 service pack 3I use mozilla firefox to search, but lately it is extremely slow.In searching online...I've seen people suggesting going to about:config and changing false to true in a couple place (pipelining) and changing max request to a higher number 30....I've tried these (probably foolishly) and they haven't helped. When I search with IE, everything is speedy, but normally I have searched with MF, and I don't know the first thing about cookies, etc.. so I am totally at YOUR mercy. I would appreciate any help. For the coders of Mozilla!
Is there anything that can be done to correct the background image issue
when making web sites in HTML and having the background be fixed
and not scroll. In IE it will stay fixed and not scroll.

I keep receiving updates but nothing to correct this.
The version of windows has nothing to do with this
and is in Mozilla alone. How about fixing this for the webmasters.
I have been seeing this back in win98 and its still doing it with Vista

A:Mozilla Firefox

Its very likely that the problem isn't with Firefox, and instead with you coding non standard web pages. IE goes against a lot of internet standards, and tools like Frontpage further propagated the problem.

A good coder will write standards compliant code so it opens properly on many web browsers. Only testing your page to make it work in IE only is poor practice.

Figured I'd give Firefox a try. But seems to slow down my computer too much. Now I can't seem to delete from Add/Remove Programs. HELP!

A:Mozilla Firefox

1. Go to Windows Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs, and if a 'Mozilla Firefox' entry (or similar) exists, select it and click Change/Remove and uninstall it. Note, you can also uninstall Firefox by going to the \Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\uninstall\ directory and running the UinstallFirefox.exe file. Reboot if required.

2. Go to your Documents and Settings\[username]\Application Data\Mozilla directory and delete the entire \Firefox subdirectory and all of its contents. Note that this will delete all of your bookmarks and saved settings. If you want to backup any or all of your current Profile, see the Customizing Firefox section first.

3. Go to your \Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\ directory and delete it and all of its contents.

4. Using a registry cleaner like RegCleaner 4.3, find and remove all Firefox/Mozilla-related entries (usually there are several Mozilla entries to be found) and remove them. Alternatively you can use the Registry Editor (Start>Run>Regedit) and delete the following keys - that is, right click on their name in the left pane of Registry Editor and select Delete:

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\FirefoxHTML]

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\Applications\firefox.exe]

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Mozilla]

Make sure you have the latest JavaRuntimeEnvironment installed on your hard drive (you should see a Java Control Panel when you open up the Windows Control Panel).https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/plugins/You can set NoScript to allow scripting by site; if you trust the site, then click on the "S" at the bottom right of the viewing panel, click on "options" and then "general" to add web sites that are to be allowed to execute scripts. Under the "Advanced" tab, see if you have "forbid Java" checked for untrusted sites.Regards,John

Tis difficult to fall in like, let alone love, with Firefox for a browser because as of late, it won't load pages.

Example 1: eBay sites. Certain ones load immediately. Others, such as "View Seller's Other Items" won't load. The page loads and loads and loads and... never loads! Example 2: Pogo games. Just this week it won't load certain rooms.

In both above examples, it's not the web site because I can immediately access via IE.

Question: Is anybody else experiencing slow/non loads of sites?

A:Mozilla Firefox

Hi

Yeah you are right about pogo. I just tried chess with mozilla and it said the site is temperarily down. I tried right after that with IE and it came right up. I don't know about the ebay one though. Maybe someone else knows why. People on this site are always saying firefox is better. Maybe someone can explain why? I just like firefox because you can put bookmarked web pages below the address bar for easy access.

Sometime during the last week was Mozilla Firefox into USC (user account control device) list, which means that I have to press yes every time I open a new window. Would like to know how to remove Firefox from the list or just check may be that it's okay "Allows you the following program can be used to make changes to your computer." ii mean seriously to have that run 24/7 is sooo annying.

My thx to who ever can fix this.

Should just be able to go to the firefox.exe in Program Files (x86) right click on it and uncheck the box here, if it's checked. And check your FF desktop shortcut to make sure that shows as uncheked as well. If you have it pinned to the taskbar, you might have to unpin and repin it after you uncheck it.

A:regarding Mozilla firefox

That doesn't sound normal. It sounds like you have ad-ware, which is similar to a virus, on your computer. Download, install, update, and run MalwareBytes Anti-Malware (MBAM). If you do have ad-ware or other malware, MBAM should do a good job of finding it.

thought that this was a well put together page for firefox extensions.

There are many free web browsers on the market. One of the best is Mozilla Firefox. Often referred to as just Firefox, it includes features such as pop-up blocking, tabbed browsing, and increased security. Firefox's design allows the user to extensively customize the browser to their individual tastes and needs through the use of extensions and themes. Additionally, Firefox stores many hidden preferences which can be manipulated to turn on or off many other features.Click to expand...

Ive reinstalled it several times.

The process of cleaning your computer may require you to temporarily disable some security programs. If you are using SpyBot Search and Destroy, please refer to Note 2 at the bottom of this page. Please download Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and save it to your desktop.alternate download link 1alternate download link 2Make sure you are connected to the Internet.Double-click on mbam-setup.exe to install the application. When the installation begins, follow the prompts and do not make any changes to default settings. When installation has finished, make sure you leave both of these checked:Update Malwarebytes' Anti-MalwareLaunch Malwarebytes' Anti-MalwareThen click Finish.MBAM will automatically start and you will be asked to update the program before performing a scan.If an update is found, the program will automatically update itself.Press the OK button to close that box and continue. If you encounter any problems while downloading the updates, manually download them from here and just double-click on mbam-rules.exe to install. On the Scanner tab:Make sure the "Perform Quick Scan" option is selected. Then click on the Scan button. If asked to select the drives to scan, leave all the drives selected and click on the Start Scan button. The scan will begin and "Scan in progress" will show at the top. It may take some time to complete so please be patient. When the scan is finished, a message box will say "The scan completed successfully. Click 'Show Results' to display all objects found".Click OK to close the message box and continue with the removal process.Back at the main Scanner screen:Click on the Show Results button to see a list of any malware that was found.Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected. When removal is completed, a log report will open in Notepad. The log is automatically saved and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.Copy and paste the contents of that report in your next reply and exit MBAM.Note:-- If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you may be asked to reboot your computer so it can proceed with the disinfection process. Regardless if prompted to restart the computer or not, please do so immediately. Failure to reboot normally (not into safe mode) will prevent MBAM from removing all the malware. Note 2:-- MBAM may make changes to your registry as part of its disinfection routine. If you're using other security programs that detect registry changes (like Spybot's Teatimer), they may interfere with the fix or alert you after scanning with MBAM. Please disable such programs until disinfection is complete or permit them to allow the changes. To disable these programs, please view this topic: How To Temporarily Disable Your Anti-virus, Firewall And Anti-malware Programs

A:IE pop ups when using Mozilla FireFox

Hi, Welcome to TSG!!

Save HJTInstall.exe to your desktop.
Doubleclick on the HJTInstall.exe icon on your desktop.
By default it will install to C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis .
Click on Install.
It will create a HijackThis icon on the desktop.
Once installed, it will launch Hijackthis.
Click on the Do a system scan and save a logfile button. It will scan and the log should open in notepad.
Click on "Edit > Select All" then click on "Edit > Copy" to copy the entire contents of the log.
Come back here to this thread and Paste the log in your next reply.
DO NOT have Hijackthis fix anything yet. Most of what it finds will be harmless or even required.

I was using the latest Mozilla Firefox, and I got a Program not responding error, so I ended the program Mozilla Firefox, and when I tried to re open it, I got something where I had to choose some sort of user preference configuration, the deafault one said it was in use, so I tried renaming it, but it still didnt work, so I made a new one and got on, bbut I've lost all of my bookmarks etc, how can I get them back?

A:Mozilla Firefox

Check in your "Profiles Folder" and see if you can retrieve it from there. Or do a file search for a file named "bookmarks.html". If you find it, just import it into the browser.
