Will my mobo work?

Q: Will my mobo work?

I am considering purchasing a MSI ATX DDR3 2133 Motherboard 970 for my new computer build, and heard from somewhere that it is not compatable with windows 7? Is this true?

Preferred Solution: Will my mobo work?

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/directdownload.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

A: Will my mobo work?

Where did you hear that? It will run Windows 7 just fine.

I've got an Intel D845WN, that has 400 FSB, Intel P4 1.6 Ghz ship in it. Would like a cheap upgrade, like $50 for a P4 2.5 Ghz CPU, but the ones I see out there are 512 or 800 FSB. Anyone tried this in this motherboard, and will I get 2.6 GHz?

A:800 or 512 FSB in 400 FSB mobo work?

Check this out for compatability

http://support.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/d845wn/sb/cs-008944.htm

Faster FSB CPU's simply won't work.

The old 400MHz 2.6 is the fastest it can handle, according to Intel.

intel Pentium 4 630 Prescott 800MHz FSB 2MB L2 Cache LGA 775 EM64T Processor - Retail

Before I speak, I have made a final decision to purchase intel, so please do not recommend that I go with AMD.

So I am wondering what mobo to get with this processor?

Here are a few ones that I found:

1) ASUS P5WD2 Premium Socket T (LGA 775) Intel 955X ATX Intel Motherboard - Retail

2) ASUS P5LD2 Socket T (LGA 775) Intel 945P ATX Intel Motherboard - Retail

3) ASUS P5LD2 Deluxe Socket T (LGA 775) Intel 945P ATX Intel Motherboard - Retail

Questions that I have:

1) If it says DDR 2 800 as the DDR2 standard, does that mean I can use DDR 2 533 1 GB ram, but can upgrade up to DDR 2 800?

2) Do I really need a firewire device on my mobo?

3) Are there other motherboards that I should look after?

Hi all! I have a fairly easy question! I was wondering if this XFX nForce 750a SLI Socket AM2 MOBO will work with this CPU AMD Athlon II X2 240 2.8Ghz AM3? I hope it will. As to the fact that I already purchased it and it's on it's way as we speak. So please! Give me some good news for once. Because I am getting tired of not have my computer up and running. Thank you in advance.

A:Will this CPU work with this MOBO?

Yea it should work, it might be downclocked in certain areas (not in CPU speed) as AM2 is slower than AM3, obviously, but it'll work fine still.

I'm trying to install a Fujitsu MPG3307AT -hard drive to my Abit BE6 -motherboard. However, i can not get bios (or windows) to recognize this drive no matter how i try with different BIOS setup and modes. I'm trying to install it as secondary master and i've checked that the jumper on the HD is correctly positioned.
Any ideas how i will get this HD to work? Bios recognized the drive a couple times and it worked well in Windows. Suddenly i it just dissapeared and i havn't been able to make it work after that. Is this caused by teh mobo? Would uppgrading BIOS help?

Any ideas appreciated!

btw. Im using Win XP

A:HD wot work with mobo

What is your motherboard BIOS version?
It should be later than MU (1999/08/27) to support big hard drives. If it isn't do the upgrade.

Have you tried the HD on both IDE channels?

If you are using the 80 wire data cable then the plug you use matters. Blue goes to the motherboard, black is master, grey slave.

The CPU you have is a socket AM3+, the GTX 760 just needs a single PCI-express 2.0 x16 although it's better if it is 3.0, and you need a PCI-e x1 for your sound card, arranged in a way that the GTX isn't going to cover it.

There is a boatload of motherboards that can run that components.
Any brand you fancy? ASUS, Asrock, Gigabyte?

Hi!

So I have this little problem, I can't see this CPU on the CPU support list...and I can't find any information about the CPU either...

Mobo:
MSI MS-7142 (that's what dxdiag says)
but on the mobo it says K8MM-V
"new" CPU (full text):
SDA3200DI03BP
LBBLY 0517APPW
Z641318D50235

So can anyone say if it will work and what the "new" CPUs specs are?

P.S. The CPU that is now installed is a Sempron 2600+ @ 1.6GHz

A:Will the CPU work on my mobo?

I don't know about the CPU.

But, the discrepancy between the mobo numbers might be explicable if your computer is a prebuilt unit. MSI boards carry an OEM part number when they're installed in a store bought unit. This number is quite different from what MSI would call the same board, if you bought it at retail.

I bought an Orion XP480D PSU only to find it has a 24-pin connector. My MOBO has a 20-pin connector.

The Orion box lists (20/24 pin) but no documentation to explain what that means.

The PSU connector will snap onto the MOBO with the extra 4-pins hanging over the edge.

Is this safe to use or am I likely to fry something?

Hey guys,

Just wondering if this RAM DIMM is compatible with this motherboard:

Ram: Patriot Memory - Products

Motherboard: http://www.asrock.com/mb/overview.asp?Model=G31M-S R2.0

Thanks!

A:Will this RAM work with this Mobo?

I'd check the Quality Vendor List from your motherboard's manufacturer (in this case, AsRock) but yes... it is compatible it's a DDR2 800Mhz Non-ECC module, your motherboard supports DDR2 667/800 at 1.8v.

But i'd check the QVL just to be 100% sure, at least you're now 98% sure that they'll work

EDIT: your Motherboard only supports up to 4GB RAM (2 x 2GB)

A:How can I get Windows to work well on a new mobo?

We've help many thousands Adjust Win7 to boot on new hardware with Paragon Adaptive Restore CD
which makes sure the correct SATA driver is there (the only possible deal killer), removes the HID and SID since it is a conflict between those that cause Win7 not to boot on most different mobos.

So you might try that to see if it goes smoother. Once you run the P2P Adjust and it boots, watch it swap out all drivers from the System tray in a cascade that eventually ends and requires a reboot. If you don't see that cascade then reboot to force it.

Next Enable hardware auto-updating via Windows Update (Steps 3 and 6) to Check for Updates, install all Important and Optional Windows Updates which will include many patches and drivers required to make Win7 run smoothly on that hardware. Keep going back for more Updates until no more are offered.

You might also look over the tools and methods which work best to get and keep a perfect Clean Reinstall Windows 7 which has been used by over 1.5 million consumers without a single complaint and compiles everything that works best in Win7.

I am sort of "out to lunch" as to whether there is a performance difference on the same speed ram from DDR to DDR2, but the higher speeds that are available in DDR2 and the prices are also lower, make it really desirable and for certain 800 ram would be considerably faster than 400.

I just want to make sure there is nothing I am overlooking, because as I said I have never done this before. MY reasoning for PC2-6400 is because it is cheaper, and I plan on possibly upgrading later on.

A:Underclocking RAM to work on my mobo

That ram is most commonly referred to as DDR2 RAM.

It should work in your PC just fine, and it probably will not even need to be manually under clocked (it should just do it all automatically). Most likely, the motherboard will just run the RAM as fast as possible, so it will run as 533 / 400MHz RAM.

The RAM you linked, is good RAM. The PC2-6400 or 4200 etc.. basically just states the speed the RAM is designed to run at. So if you tried to run it at a much faster speed, and the RAM died, you couldn't complain. But running it at a lower speed than it is designed for, is no problem at all. And like I said, it should just work, straight out of the box.

If there are any problems though, you will be able to just tweak it in the BIOS, but I doubt you will need to. Also, Corsair are an excellent RAM manufacturer, so if you did have any trouble, you could go onto their forum and they would tell you exactly how to set it up in your BIOS.

Hi, I got this new mobo and 2 sticks of ram wont work in the first two slots. The ram is brand new from OCZ. I have 8gb of the same type of ram, and only the last two slots seem to work. When I put all 4 in or just first 2 the computer wont show a picture. I know 8gb prob is to much for just cod/mmo, but its brand new and it doesnt work.

Is there a program that I can use to test the slots? Or maybe Im doing something wrong?

A:New mobo, but two slots of RAM won't work?

What operating system are you using ? That sometimes makes a difference.

Otherwise, it is not that unusual to get a board that has a non-working configuration. Return the board with an explanation, and most sellers will exchange without argument.

Hey i got a new nd hand motherboard that seems to have a few problems I plugged my power supply into it that has been sitting unused for issues, MoBo parts don't some work, some a month ever since my old motherboard stopped working I smelled electrical burning about seconds after i plugged in the power before i pressed the MoBo issues, some parts work, some don't power button so i threw it out and used a different power supply Nothing seemed to be damaged and the smell was coming from the power supply not the computer itself The graphics card and processor work fine as does the RAM The problem i have is the keyboard doesnt work and i can t type in the cmos setup password even if i knew what it was and yes ive tryed multiple good keyboards the inbuilt graphics doesn t work and whenever i try to boot from hard drive or cd quot BOOTMGR is missing quot Ive reset the cmos and it MoBo issues, some parts work, some don't still wants a password enter is the only key that works so i can t try to guess it Im thinking that maybe the BIOS was damaged by the old power supply Does that seem to fit the description What does anyone suggest i do to get this thing finally working- preferably not buying a new motherboard because ive just broken before i realised it was the power supply killing them all I really dont want to spend any more money nbsp

A:MoBo issues, some parts work, some don't

Perfectly sure you have a busted mainboard there... You don't really have a bios damage from a power supply, only board damage. Also, did you try to see if the hard drives work on any other computers?

I'm afraid you might have to get a new board because your old PSU fried git but thats my opinion.

you probably need to a 6 pin PCI express power connector because the PCI express slot doesnt have enough power to run those bigger cards by itself, you can usually find those at most electronic stores like best buy and circuit city. That sounds like the problem with the video card. Secondly, the 2 TB drives are they in a raid configuration, extra storage besides the 2x160 gig satas or is XP loaded on one and another TB drive is storage? what exactly is the problem with the drives please elaborate

Here are the stats for my buddies 2001 rig:

Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce 3
Motherboard: ECS (Elitegroup) Model K7S5A ver. 1.0 - PCI ports
Processor: AMD Athlon MMX 3DNow - 1.1 GHz
2 GB (possible) of RAM

I looked up his mobo and the site said it should have an AGP port, though he doesn't mention it above. I'm wondering if he were to get an up-to-date graphics card like the Sapphire ATI RADEON HD 3850 would it work in his system? I know it wouldn't be ideal, but he's just trying to upgrade his system and can't afford a new one.

A:new graphics card work on old mobo?

agp - pci-E and pci are ALL different card sockets
a card made for one type WILL NOT fit in the other types

currently, there are a FEW vid cards being made for agp,
but it is really just a waste of money - the newer cards for pci-e really aren't designed for the agp bus - so aren't tweaked that way, so it wouldn't be an upgrade as such - better to save the money to put to a newer pc.......sorry

It might. My 24 pin MSI motherboard will accept a 20 pin power supply although you need to know which end of the connector to line up. Check the manufacturer's website if you don't have your motherboard's manual.

That said, you could also use a 20 pin to 24 pin adapter. About $4.00 or so.

Hey everyone, so I have searched, updated windows, Intel and gigabyte drivers, and the only thing that came of it is that 2 of my 6 usb ports on the mobo work now. The other 4 don't. They power my astro mixamp but don't produce sound, and when I turn on my pc with my mouse and keyboard in the ports they light up then go dead.

I've tried unplugging the power, updating drivers, etc. And I still have the caution marker on my usb drives and my Ethernet driver.

My pc case ports are fine, and as I said before two of the 6 work now thanks to the gigabyte install of the drivers. How do I get this fixed?

Thanks everyone!

My dad's PC is getting on a bit (it was built in 2000) and up until recently was running a completely virus/adware riddled install of Windows 98. I did a clean install of XP, and am now planning on fitting a new mobo and CPU.

Should I anticipate any software/OS problems (i.e. they detect a different chipset and refuse to work)?

A:Swapping CPU & Mobo- Will software still work?

Yes, you will experience some problems if the graphics and other onboard chipsets differ ( Sis vs Via etc ) You will either blue screen or windows just wont start. Best is to make backups and re-install windows. (In my humble opinion thats the way to go with hardware upgrades)

PCI Express 2.0 doubles the bandwidth of the 1.0 version. It is supposed to be backwards compatible with the 1.0 slots. I don't know what your MB has, but based only on this spec it would work.

A:new gigabyte ga-7n400pro mobo doesnt work

Did you just replace the motherboard in an existing PC with installed XP?
If so, you better start looking for your XP-CD and prepare for a re-install over your existing XP, because all the hardware of your new mobo needs to be recognised by XP. You should also have got a CD with your mobo-specific drivers, which need to be installed in XP.
Do a Search on this forum or in the 'Windows OS' forum to find out exact details on how to do this re-install.

Hi - I've got an Asus crosshair motherboard, 2GB RAM, Athlon 64 4200+ dual core etc. Board is SUPPOSED to support SLi, my supplier sent 2x 7300GTs of different make (but same chipset), didnt work, so I had to buy a 3rd matching card (Now both installed are Inno3D 7300GTs of same spec) but it STILL doesnt recognise them as SLi - I've tried swapping them, and both work fine alone, I've tried it with and without the SLi bridge, I've uninstalled them both from device manager and the drivers etc and reinstalled, I've tried different types of drivers, I've tried updating the BIOS in the mobo but it just doesnt work...

I'm just about to give up on Nvidia and AMD-based kit forever at this point.

A:SLi on Asus Crosshair Mobo dont work - plz help!

I suspect you have a crossfire board and not a crosshair.
If you give us the exact model of the board that would be good.
If you do infact have a crossfire board you will not be able to use dual nVidia cards.
Crossfire is an ATI only spec, so you need 2 ATI based cards.

I'm running an eMachines T1840 which worked great with the generic "Imperial" mobo it came with (SKU # MBEM2095IMPL look here) until it died a week ago. I replaced it with a Gigabyte 8I845GVM-RZ board that works perfectly fine except for the sound. On the Gigabyte board there are 2 separated pin spots to connect the audio cables (one for the front L, one for front R) but there's only one cable extending from the front that feeds the front audio. The cable says LR so I'm guessing it feeds both the left and right, but on the new mobo the pins are separated enough to where I can't plug the cable in both. Is there any way to get around this to feed sound to both sides, or am I just going to be stuck listening to mono sound for the rest of forever?

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813123257
but after reading some of those reviews, that card only work best for the Geforce 6600GT cards :l

Need a reply asap please, so i can cancel my order and get a compatible one for my video card.

Thinking of changing to this:

A:Which Mobo work best for X1900XT Radeon? Urgent Help

you are buying (or have already bought) one of the fastest and most expensive video cards available, but you're still running socket-754???

as long as you're still using socket-754, you'll never get top performance. I would suggest you buy a new CPU/mobo not just a new mobo. socket-939 prices have dropped significantly lately, now is a good time to buy

I currently have a PC with a failed MoBo/PSU (on another Seven forum thread).

I know in the past with older OS versions, they didn't like it if you changed/upgraded the MoBo to a different type (i.e. chipset, etc.), because the MoBo (Windows OS) drivers that were in place when it was originally installed was not compatible with a new MoBo. This usually caused the OS to get trashed when booting up and self-attempting to fix itself due to new hardware.

Has anyone had experience upgrading their MoBo with an existing Win7-64 install on their HD?

I'd really rather not have to do a fresh install, and then wait (days) to load and install the 100's of updates, then reinstall all my programs. Arg!

Thanks,
Bill

Just got a new Asus P5PE-VM with a Core 2 Duo, and now only the onboard VGA works. When I put in my video card (EVGA GeForce 6800GT), the computer turns on still, but no matter which vga port I use (onboard or card) I get no display.

I am running Vista, but I don't think that would affect this. Bios is not the most recent, but the only update adds new CPU support.

Any ideas? My old mobo died, and I'm really hoping to keep this card...I love it! (not to mention can't spend the money for a new one).

Thanks!

Hi all, I recently built a new computer on the Z170 / Skylake platform from a Z77 / Ivy Bridge based computer.

I noticed USB 3.0 seems to be an issue with Windows 7, which I'm having problems with. But I also encountered problems with Windows Update, which just seems to hang when checking for updates. I assume this is Microsofts way of forcing you to install Windows 10...

Is there a way to get Windows Update working again?

A:Upgraded To Z170 Mobo, Now Windows Update Doesn't Work?

There are no issues with usb 3.0, just use usb 2.0 ports for the keyboard and mouse and install with a dvd, no issues at all.

There are millions of threads here about windows update, we can`t keep answering every single question about them

Just get windows update going and walk away, don`t let your PC go to sleep and in a week or 2 the updates will show up

But seriously, just let it run overnight and all will be fine in the morning.

Microsoft has fired all the Windows 7 update personal and are down to 1 windows 7 update server and it`s running Windows ME

I wanted to upgrade my RAM with a 4GB stick running instead of old 2 GB DDR3 stick

bought a new ram for my Gigabyte GA-G41M-Combo motherboard, when i plug my 4gb ram the pc doesnt boot
This 4GB DDR3 RAM Kingston Technology Company - Kingston Memory Search - Search Results for: KVR13N9S8/4

It says in my motherboard specifications on Gigabyte's website tht my motherboard "Support for DDR3 1333(O.C.)/1066/800 MHz memory modules"

how am i supposed to make this RAM work on my motherboard

Please Help Me

A:how to make DDR3-1333 DDR3 4 GB work on my Gigabyte G41-M Combo mobo?

I'm afraid that RAM is not supported, I downloaded the Memory Support List from: (and attached)

GIGABYTE - Motherboard - Socket 775 - GA-G41M-Combo (rev. 2.0)

Also, you are better off getting 2 sticks, since:
Your motherboard:

Features Dual channel memory architecture, best to use two sticks to take advantage of the Dual channel, should be identical RAM sticks.
Multi-channel memory architecture - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
That motherboard supports very few 4 gig sticks at all and fact you have to overclock to handle 1333, I would just buy one step lower: 2 * 2 gig 1066 sticks.

A:New Mobo, pre-exisintg raid 0 drives did work, now says "Initialize"

Moving a RAID 0 volume implemented in the motherboard to a different motherboard is a chancy thing and often doesn't work. The problem is that there are no standards for this and each manufacturer does things in different and incompatible ways. Even different motherboards from the same manufacturer may not work.

It is always important to have a backup of your files and this is doubly so with RAID 0. All files of any importance need at least one backup copy while those of particular importance should have 2 or more backup copies. Data recovery from a RAID 0 volume can be a challenge even for a data recovery professional.

Hopefully someone can help resolve this problem.

Hi all,

I have a MSI k7 pro via kt 266a mobo with an athlon xp1600, served me well, however time has moved on.
1/ MSIs website states the max cpu my mobo can take is xp2100 (upgradeing cpu would be cheapest option). Does anyone know any different?

2/ There are some good "bargains" in mobos, as low as 80 bucks Australian, able to take an AMD 64 3200 , based on SIs chipsets. Of the chipsets available, eg, Sis , Via , nforce, are folk noticing any "real world" difference between them.

I occasionally edit and render video-rendering times not a key consideration and occasionally play Lomac and Il2 flight sims. Thats it. Apart from surf the net.

Your input appreciated. Thanks

an unknown AMD mobo to a DFI PS85-BL ver B1 mobo

I already called DFI and they said that I need to unistall the system drivers. Of course, I tried uninstalling all device drivers and then shut down and rebuilt computer. When I booted, the computer asked for safe mode or boot normally. No matter what I select, it automatically reboots.

Run the motherboard outside the case with just CPU and memory installed. See if it starts. If not, the CPU could be fried or you have a defective motherboard. I hope you didn't use the old power supply with the replacement motherboard, if you did, you probably fried the 2nd motherboard

If the drive is detected then the SATA 1/5 versus 3.0 is not likely an issue.

But the drive needs to be initialized, partitioned and formated before it will get a driver letter and be accessible.

To do that you must use Disk Management and here's how: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/309000/

Hey guys, I am building my second system and am just wondering what mobo to get.

I don't full understand the advantages that a 64bit system will bring but I know that a dual processor will do wonders for my work flow (I have a 3D modeller who renders alot). I was just wondering if you know of a dual processor mobo which is also 64bit. That would be the best of both worlds in my opinion.

Any advice you can give would be great.

The power supply is old and you wouldn't want to damage a new motherboard would you. The old memory is DDR. The new board takes DDR2 memory. You may be able to use the old CPU or processor

I replaced the mobo on my Dell 5510. Purchased from Dell. Sticker on mobo says BIOS ver A05. About every other day I get blue screen and physical dump of memory. My system info says my BIOS ver is A07. How do I go about changing BIOS? Is it as simple as pulling battery for 15 seconds? Some have offered this suggestion but I get a little worried at "friends" advice.

A:Replaced MOBO on Dell 5510 BIOS sticker on MOBO says A05, system in still has BIOS of A07

Removing the battery won't change the BIOS version. You need to download the version you require from the Dell site. From Windows you "flash" the BIOS. Take your time preparing for this. If anything goes wrong you will wreck your motherboard.

What is the difference between a regular old computer motherboard and a "server motherboard"? Are they faster? Do they have more ports?

A:No mobo light, new PSU, new mobo

Well, I don't know about a motherboard that requires "400 Watts". I think that the CPU, and even more importantly, the graphics card combine to set the tone of how much power is likely to be drawn.

Moving along, the "clicking" you heard could be the PSU cutting out due to a short circuit. Check the board to case standoffs, and make certain every one you have in place, has solder lands under the screws. (These are intended to be grounded). If there is no solder land under a screw, remove that particular standoff. BTW did you hook up the ATX (4 pin) connector, the plug near the CPU, and did you connect the PCIE- 6 pin connector to the video card? (This assumes the card you're using needs one)

That bad news is that you may have damaged the board, if indeed it was a short.

What on EARTH process is always running in the background to make my hard drive chatter away for literally nearly - minutes work 10 work work HD my and makes Windows and work and after a bootup and we're talking with a FRESH install Some something is running a LOT in the background but task manager is absolutely worthless in pointing out what is going on It even gets to the point Windows 10 makes my HD work and work and work and work where after having the Edge browser opened and perusing the internet for awhile things get so bogged down and windows is too stupid to tell me exactly WHY it's bogged down things get to where even a mouse click is delayed upwards of seconds lol Sometimes things completely freeze and pushing the reset button is the only way out I've gone as far as downloading Avasts 'emergency startup' disc and booting from it thinking there might be a virus but it found nothing although I'm wondering if it's loading a small portion of windows which if it is and a virus or malware is in that small portion booting to the disc and running the anti-virus software is pointless maybe I should try it with a linux based emergency disc

Alright guys, I have just refreshed my pc because I was having numerous problems with it and it turned out to be a bad stick of RAM. However, now I am having software issues. Whenever I try to make a call on the desktop version of skype, the program crashes. Whenever I try to open HP support assistant, the program crashes. When i am using the metro app version of skype I get a weird artifacting type problem on any of the buttons. I have this same problem in internet explorer and on Netflix. Netflix will not play on Chrome. It will play on IE, but with the button artifacting problems. My computer will not pair via bluetooth with my phone. What would be your recommended course of action? I don't know where to begin. I have tried updating drivers and the like but it has not helped.

Thank you

A:Bluetooth won't work, skype won't work, ntflix won;t work

I would like to add some info here as I had the above problem and couldn t find the answer anywhere except on a site that wanted money Aaargh The nerve of it But I saw a topic here with the exact same problem although the solution was quite different Here http forums techguy org windows-xp -taskkill-does-not-work-batch html I can t recall now why I thought about the firewall but as you guys have helped me in the past I d like to leave some information here for people who Google the following problems and think they have found a site with a solution only to find that the site wants your credit card number Bah Here are the errors I had Net stop System Error has occurred Access batch do work Taskkill, at prompt in Net Stop Tasklist, but command file not work is Denied Tasklist or Taskkill The RPC server is unavailable Both Taskkill, Tasklist, Net Stop do not work in batch file but work at command prompt of my problems were caused by the Comodo firewall on a new PC running XP SP The startup command file calls various other command files and I got the above errors when they executed the Net Taskkill and Tasklist commands When I entered the commands net stop taskkill tasklist at a command prompt they worked The problem was because the Comodo firewall had a quot Defence quot setting for a quot Sandbox quot that was enabled When I disabled the sandbox everything worked as I expected i e as on my old PC that I was replacing I hope this helps someone in the future If you tech guys would like to add some techy details as to what the sandbox was doing that would be great nbsp

The title pretty much says it all. I'm honestly at the end of my rope. Device manager replies all is well, yet sound stopped working overnight.

It isn't muted,I'm not that oblivious.

I own Advanced System Care Pro ( and consequently, Driver Booster ) so I have already all of my drivers up to date, as well as any other problems I might have had.

Used a bunch of other scanners to figure out the problem to no avail. Plugging some headphones in also doesn't cut it, so it made me think that perhaps the hardware was actually fine and some software conflict was the cause of the problem. I have no freaking clue anymore, should I just get mad and yell at my computer for an hour or so to relieve stress now??

A:Laptop audio refuses to work, all devices work properly, sound isn't muted. Help?

First we need to know the EXACT make and model number of the laptop in question. Secondly the only place you should be looking for drivers for you laptop is the laptop manufacturers support website. Driver scanners really are not helpful.
