Windows don't start..

Q: Windows don't start..

My father accidentally unplugged our computer..

After I turned on the computer, this screen shows up and I kept seeing this screen..

I already tried all the choices but it was never successful..

Whenever I select Start WIndows Normally, it does show the Starting Windows screen, but after a few minutes a bluescreen shows up all of a sudden. This happens all the time..

How do I fix our computer? I don't have the installation CD for WIndows and worst, our cddrive don't work anymore.. Please help..

Thanks a lot guys ^^

Preferred Solution: Windows don't start..

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/directdownload.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Have you tried what is suggested by the system itself?

If not, try it ..... run Startup Repair for three separate times, with restarts after every single run.
Startup Repair: Run three separate times.

If startup repair failed. You need to try something more. Follow it:

You haven't yet told us the brand, model, age or configuration, so it is not likely we can come up with some suggestions.
However, it is likely a hard drive glitch, or a software failure.
Save your data to another computer using a USB external drive, or put it in another computer as a slave, so you can save the data before you get too far along.

Hi I have an HP Pavilion p - a installed with Windows no disc came with the computer The night before I was impatient and forced shutdown and went to sleep The next day I booted the computer to find a message at the beginning aboutrunning a disc check I skipped it and proceeded with the normal booting The desktop had changed to a default format and the bubble at the right hand corner stated that I was in a temporary login I Googled how to return to my usual desktop and majority of the advice was to restart or log off I only have one user So after logging off restarting the computer a few times my original desktop and files returned The next morning when I booted my computer the quot disc check on startup quot message appeared again but I was too late to skip it or windows start up left repair constantly normally Windows startup won't 7 start with options. and it started Windows 7 won't start up constantly left with startup repair or start windows normally options. the checkup I needed my computer so I forced shutdown and restarted the computer and I was again logged in to the temporary profile I came back home around after uni and booted the computer and ran the disc checkup The computer restarted afterwards and then gave me the options startup repair or start windows normally I selected start normally but it returned to the HP screen then gave me the two options again I ve tried to do startup repair but it just stops at the blue background with the mouse only moveable None of the advanced options seem to work either such as safe mode etc I ve tried starting the HP recovery system but that doesn t work too In short Stupid design student was not thinking forced shutdown lead to temporary login disc check on startup and now an infinite loop of start windows and startup repairs that don t work The HP pavilion came installed with Windows so I have no idea how to boot from a disc or usb Please help I have five projects due before end of semester which is in two weeks p s I really really do not know much about computers please keep instructions as precise and simple as possible thank you

A:Windows 7 won't start up constantly left with startup repair or start windows normally options.

The next day, I booted the computer to find a message at the beginning about running a disc check. I skipped it and proceeded with the normal booting.Hello and Welcome -Have you ever let the diskcheck run the full range ?? It runs 5 stages, takes about 1 hour, and will not harm your system. If you wish to run the check, it may cancel the restart problems - Please follow these directions >>Start your computer in Normal Mode -Run a Disk Check on your C: drive in Windows :•Click Start and open Computer•Right-click on C: (or your Hard drive letter) and select Properties•Click on the Tools tab•Under Error-checking click the Check Now... button•Mark the 2 boxes next to Automatically fix file system errors and Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors•Click on the Start button•When the message box pops up, click the Schedule disk check button and >> Restart your computer•Once your computer restarts it will check the drive, don't press any keys so that it is allowed to do soAllow about 1 hour (on average) for the check to complete and it will Reboot itself back to Normal Mode -Next -Go - Start > Programs > Accessories > Find Command Prompt > Right click and select Run as Administrator > Then type sfc /scannow > Press Enter - Note the space between c and / > Allow about 15 to 20 minutes (on average) -This will Check System Files against original installation -Try these 2 simple procedures first to rule out any basic problems - They will not remove or alter any data that you have completed -Thank You -Edit for Spelling -

A:Video Card Vista start used to be Windows 7 Start - windows 7

Tom:
Hello & Welcome to Tech Guy Forum.
No disrepect intended, but I have never encountered a video card that will boot up in Windows.
I have a video card that used to boot up in windows 7 Click to expand...

Please run this forum's sys info utility & post the results.
http://library.techguy.org/wiki/TSG_Valuable_links

Here's the method I use to update drivers.
Download the driver from the graphic card's manufacturer
2nd choice, from the chipset manufacturer
3rd choice: Windows update
Download Driver Sweeper from Guru3D if the chipset is nVidia or ATI
Install Driver Sweeper
control panel > upper right, set "view by" to "large icons"
Select the driver & uninstall it
Boot to safe mode
Run Driver Sweeper
WITHOUT rebooting, run the driver install program
Reboot; this time to normal mode.

A:Acer won't start, Black screen / Windows failed to start

Hello noob and welcome to Seven Forums.

Can you get into Safe Mode via the Advanced Boot Options menu? If yes, you can check for damaged or corrupt system files by running a system file checker scan from an elevated command prompt (option two in the SFC tutorial.) If problems are found, run the scan 3 times and reboot the computer after each scan.

Safe Mode

SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

Another possibility from Safe Mode is to try rolling back your computer to a date/time prior to this problem occuring using a system restore point.

System Restore

If the above desn't help, one of the Forum experts prepared a troubleshooting guide for failure to start issues.

Fortunately, you can still create a repair disc, using method 2 of this tutorial: System Repair Disc - Create

Just download the ISO and burn it.

Try booting to the repair disc, and try a System Restore: System Restore

..and which do not.

I had a question: How do i get to the little menu where I can choose which applications automatically start up when Windows starts up and which do not? I forgot how to get to that menu but I remember that I could check and uncheck which things would start up, etc. The reason for this is because everytime I start windows, it tries to load my scanning software which I don't need started anymore due to the scanner not being connected at all anymore, and the uninstallation not going as properly as it should of.. but it just bugs me that it tries to connect to the scanner (with about 3-4 attempts) when Windows starts so this is my best option...

Any idea?

Quote It s time to choose which one do you prefer After Windows Screen 10 Start 8.1 Menu vs. Start Windows nearly two years of controversy Microsoft has finally decided to bring back the Windows 8.1 Start Screen vs. Windows 10 Start Menu Start menu in Windows trying to address complaints received after the removal of this traditional feature from the Windows modern operating system Surprisingly however after months of accusing Microsoft of ignoring users requests some people don t want the Start menu anymore and actually want the company to offer the Start screen as a default feature in Windows Obviously each of these two features comes with its very own set of features so it s easy to see why some want the Start menu and others prefer the Start screen Windows doesn t have a Start menu and only offers users the Start screen so assuming that everyone upgrades to Windows when it becomes available there s going to be one big dilemma when trying to choose between the two Windows Start Windows 8.1 Start Screen vs. Windows 10 Start Menu Screen vs Windows Start Menu - Softpedia

On Friday when booting windows failed to start and went into auto-repair. It did start then and again the next day. However this morning it failed again and the auto-repair was not able to resolve the issue, including when I told it to do a system restore.

I have tried to start windows in safe mode but rather than booting and the list of windows files is done I get a blue screen for 1 second and am back at the windows failed to launch screen (repair windows or start normally options). On two occasions while tapping f8 to get into safe mode while the screen was displaying "boot from cd/dvd" an error message came up stating that there was a disk read error.

A:Windows won't start, also won't start in safe mode.

It sounds like it's possible the hard disk has developed a problem. I'd suggest going to the manuf's website and downloading their tool for checking that specific model drive. Hopefully they will have an ISO that can be burned to CD or USB stick and you can boot into the tool and have it check the drive.

To boot from a CD or USB stick this option must be enabled in the BIOS... and sometimes the advanced boot screen that allows one to choose to boot from an alternate device has to be enabled before it can be accessed during boot (usually by tapping F12, but it can be different for different machines). So you might have to boot into the BIOS to enable these things before it will boot from a CD or USB stick.

But maybe someone else has another preliminary, easier option to try first. But a read error sounds indicative of a HD problem.

A:Impossible to Start Windows 7 Programs on Start

You could open your Task Manager after booting up and observe what is consuming the resources.
You can click on one of the tabs like CPU, and arrange the order from alphabetical to order of power, or use the Resource Monitor, if that suits you better.
All that matters is to find out which component is being stressed, CPU, ram or the hard drive, and then establish which process or processes is gobbling up all the power.
BTW: There was nothing attached but you could type in the make and model of your machine, CPU & ram.

A:teamviewer never start with windows start, how to fix this problem

Bring up Task manager - CTRL+Alt+Delete - and see if a process called Teamviewer_Service.exe is running. If it's in Task Manager, TV is running. If not, uninstall it, download the latest version and reinstall as an Administrator.

I have successfully got Windows 7 RC working on my PC but on my laptop where I have allowed it to be the only OS it has installed with no problem, updated and then tried to re-start. It won't start. It gets as far as the four-part symbol glowing in the middle of the screen but goes no further.

I have been through the start up repair and it cannot be repaired. I have tried the installation three times with the same result. I'm using the same disc for the installation with a different product code.

I was originally running xp pro on this machine. Could it be a driver issue?

Any help would be much appreciated..................

Hello and welcome, Lynpy .

Turn off your computer completely and start it up, from here, load "Safe Mode" .

NOW, when you get into Windows - go to your Control Panel > Windows Updates > and on the left side "View Update History" .

If you look all the way to the right, you'll see dates next to them - WHAT are the latest updates installed ?

I am writing from my own laptop, but the problem I am having is with another laptop. It is a Sony Vaio running Windows Vista.I am getting an error message when trying to turn it on--Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause. To fix the problem:1. Insert you Windows installation disc and restart your computer.2. Choose language settings, click next3. Click "repair your computer"If you do not have the disc (of course, I don't!) contact your system admin or computer manufacturer for assistance.File: \Windows\system32\config\systemStatus: 0xc000014cInfo: Windows failed to load because the system registry file is missing or corrupt.

A:Windows VISTA: Failed to start...won't start in safe mode, or any other mode!

Typically the system32 Files I would simply replace and expect to get back in to Windows, but with The Registry file being purported as Damaged or missing I would recommend re-installing windows. You can get restore CD's from your manufacturer.

If you tap the F8 key on boot and get options to boot into other modes, I would pick Last known good configuration as you might fix the problem this way.
Not likely, but it's worth a shot.
Good Luck

Hello xyciana and welcome to Eightforums

I'm not sure if there is a way to make a shortcut icon to take you to the start screen. But you can use the Windows logo key on your keyboard to take you to the start screen. Just 1 press on the key and you are there.

2. I would like to pin my tiles so they never move. There are some tiles I want fixed nicely in the place I put them but each time I want to add a tile, and move it across, all my tiles move about.

I don't know if that can be done. In my knowledge, No.

3. It would be nice to colour my tiles individually. Is there any App to do this?

No, sorry to say that again, but that's how it is. No way to change the color of the tiles individually. But you never know, in the future somebody might come up with an application to change the color of the tiles For now, no is the answer.

4. Some tiles cannot be made bigger (i.e. existing applications). Is there a way to do this?

Alright here is my story My computer randomly gave me this message it has been a few weeks and I don t remember start following is \WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEM Windows because XP corrupt: not or the could file missing what exactly happened before I got the message Windows XP could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt WINDOWS SYSTEM CONFIG SYSTEMI have tried many times to fix this problem having tried many different methods and have even gotten my computer to stop giving me the message but other problems soon came afterword I will explain this later Let me also point out Windows XP could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt: \WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEM that I have made a recovery disc and DO NOT have an original XP disc to use The disc gets me Windows XP could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt: \WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEM into the Recovery Console Tool so I am not sure if Windows XP could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt: \WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEM this is that big of a deal And let it also be known I have very little knowledge of the Recovery Console Tool or any other type of MS-DOS or DOS-looking codes commands or whatever Let me first start with what I have already tried and tell you what problems came from trying that particular thing First AttemptI went to the obvious at the beginning looking around hoping this would be an easy fix I found a guide on Microsoft s website where I followed some instructions http support microsoft com default aspx kb en-us The problem here was simple I would type a quot copy quot command and there would be an error saying it cannot find the file to copy Second AttemptI found this in another thread posted on the internet and decided to try it out http www kellys-korner-xp com xp sys htmI did this the first time and it had many errors and whatnot recently did this and had same results as third section of the third attempt Third AttemptI found this and it looked very promising and actually did something http swatrant blogspot com windo because htmlAlright as you can see this is split up into different sections In section it says to run quot chkdsk quot I ran this exact command CHDSK C After I did this I was very excited and it seemed like it was fixed because this was the first time that I had gotten to the quot Windows XP Loading Screen quot Before this it wouldn t even load that Now here is where the next error comes in It goes to a place asking for a username password I have never set a password for my computer and only have one quot profile quot It doesn t even look like I have a quot profile quot it looks like a quot network quot thing where it asks for my username and password if you are not understanding this part I can try and explain better I don t really know how to explain this Well I type in quot administrator quot as my username and have a blank password and it starts loading like it is the right one and once it starts loading it doesn t even go to the desktop it immediately logs out after that I have tried doing this many times and I cannot seem to actually get on the physical computer After having that episode happen I looked for a fix for THAT problem figuring that it was connected and ran across this http www geekstogo com forum Windows-XP- entry this is link d to the post that I did And that didn t help one bit I read later someplace that this probably isn t the problem and that it still has to do with my corrupt quot hive quot or something which I guess is the files I am trying to replace Now for stage two on that Swantrant s I did this and everything would smooth I replaced it all and then rebooted it and got the same wont-let-me-pass network login I did the last system restore date and the second to last system restore date and both of them didn t fix the login situation Next I tried stag... Hi all I want to ask what to do to fix my computer. After the the initial windows 7 start up screeen it will show
Checking file system on C:
The type of the file system is NTFS.
One of your disks needs to be checked for consistency. You may cancel the disk check, but itbis strongly recommended that you continue.
Windows will now check the disk.
Cannot open for direct access.
Autochk cannot run due to an error caused by recently installed software package.
Use the system restore feature from the control panel to restore the system to a point prior to the recent software package installation.

A:Windows wont start up after Windows startup screen showing corrupted file

Can you access the Advanced Boot Options by tapping F8 at boot? If you can, select System Restore and do a Restore just before the problem began. If you cannot access the menu via F8 do you have access to another Windows 7 computer so that you can create a System Repair Disk?

Edit: If you can access Advanced Boot Options then try Last Known Good Configuration before attempting a System Restore.

Hello,

I have recently had an issues with Windows 7. I went to restart my computer and before it shut down it said "Installing Windows update 30% complete" ... then it shut down fine. Upon restart there was no text under and icons, the start menu does not work at all and any windows I open such as My Computer are blank and have condensed icons on the left hand side. Im wondering if it could be a corrupt user profile? or something wrong with my video card, which I have recently updated. I also think it could be some sort of spyware/malware but not entirely sure. Please if anyone knows anything about this let me know. Also a system restore did nothing to help ss well as control+alt+delete.  I will attach a few screenshots to help visualize.

Thank you
-Caleb

Hi calebhennessy My name is Aura and I'll be assisting you with your issue.Im wondering if it could be a corrupt user profile? An easy way to find out would be to create a new user and make it Admin, then log in that user profile and see if the issues you're experiencing under your account are also present in the new one. Can you do that?

Hello I have in the past few months been having issues starting my Lenovo G laptop which runs on Windows unsure what bit with AVG as its antivirus It will turn on will not on start laptop running Windows Windows 7 screen. past Lenovo and display the 'Starting Windows' screen However it will not load past this point no matter how long I leave it Upon pressing the power button the screen will read that there is an error and gives me two option system repair or start Lenovo laptop running on Windows 7 will not start past Windows screen. normally The system repair option then brings me to a page that will scan and prompt a restore - however this restore does not work as it must completely reboot to complete the restore which is not possible due to the fact that it sticks on the Starting Windows page Another option is the F menu From this menu I have tried most of the options with sufficient loading time to allow my laptop to process Not a single one of the three safe mode options will boot and stops loading at AVG's files which leads me to believe it is my antivirus I have also attempted repair system and last known config both of which ultimately prompt a system restore I have attempted numerous system restores at different dates and none of them are successful Starting today I have also received errors stating that the restore can not be accomplished This is all of the information I have at the moment but I will add on as I come across errors Any advice would be lovely

If it completed System Restore and rebooted, did you choose Start Windows Normally?

You'll need to access to a Win7 disk or System Repair Disk to work through the steps for Troubleshooting Windows 7 Failure to Start without depending upon possibly corrupt OS files.

These steps try everything that can possibly be done leading up to rescuiing your files to do a perfect Clean Reinstall Windows 7

A:Windows Boxes and taskbar/start menu turns to windows classic

Right click on your desktop, click Personalize, when the window opens click Theme, and change it to Windows Vista. If that doesn't work, try to open the start menu, right click on Computer, click Properties, when the window opens click Advanced system settings on the left side, when the system properties window opens, click Settings..., (you may have to go to the Advanced tab first) and then select Adjust for best appearance.

When I first bought my Gateway compurter in Jan. I tried to install Outlook on my laptop. It did not install. Instead, on startup every time, the computer automatically pops up Windows Installer and I have to cancel it. This is a nusiance. I still would like to have Outlook installed but I don't know how to do so.
Thanks.

A:How can I stop windows installer at start-up and install Windows Outlook on my comput

Hey, see if windows installer is in your startup entries:

- Open the start menu
- Type "msconfig.exe" in the search bar
- Press enter to open msconfig
- Goto the startup tab
- Look through these entries for "windows installer" or the path to windows installer
- If you find it:
> uncheck the box next to it
> click ok and restart to check
- If not:
> Post back and i'll do some reading into it

Cheers,
Jamey

Hi sony12,Do you have a Windows XP CD available? If you do, let's try to boot your computer using the Ultimate Boot CD for Windows (UBCD4win).Please print this guide for future reference! You will need a blank CD, a clean computer and a flash drive. Please follow the steps below and let me know if you were successful. If you were unable to create the UBCD4win, please tell me what error messages you got and/or what steps you got hung up on. 1. Download and Run Ultimate Boot CD for WindowsSave it to your Desktop.Double-Click on the UBCD4Win.EXE that you just downloaded to your desktop.Follow all of the instructions/prompts that come up.

A:Windows wont start: \windows\system32\c_1252.nls is missing or corrupt

I just tried to boot up using a windows xp mce 2005 cd, but my version is 2004, and the results were the same as before.

I saw some screen shots of the recovery console online, and it should look like
"C: \WINDOWS>"

however my screen shows
"C:\>"

Everytime I type something here, it just says "There is no floppy disk or cd in the drive."

It doesn't ask me which windows installation I would like to log on to, or ask me for my administrative password.

Does anyone know anything about this, or have any advice at all?
I really dont want to mess up my computer any worse than it already is by changing things I dont understand.

A:"windows Could Not Start Because The Following File Is Missing Or Corrupt: \windows\system32\config\sys...

This error means that Windows was not able to load the \WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEM registry hive. It does this early in the boot process in order to initialize many Windows functions (the rest of the registry loads much later in the boot process). The reasons for this are many, but the clue here (IMO) is that you installed the OS on another system. Windows has setup that disk to use the hardware in the other system - and it's balking at all the hardware changes that it sees (along with the different security descriptors that are generated in each system). This is likely to be the cause of the failure to load the registry hive error that you mention. The best thing to do (again IMO) is to put the disk back in the system that you installed it on and boot it up. Then uninstall all the hardware devices (other than the motherboard and CPU) that you can. DO NOT RESTART!!! Once everything is uninstalled, shutdown the system and then remove the hard drive.Put the hard drive in the new system and boot directly to the CD with the XP installation files on it (ensure that you do not boot to the hard drive as this will start the process that we're trying to avoid) and perform a repair install ( http://www.michaelstevenstech.com/XPrepairinstall.htm ) Presuming that there are no hardware issues, this will enable the new system to boot successfully.More info here: http://www.michaelstevenstech.com/moving_xp.html

This is the error message I'm getting, help me, please! I don't have a lot of stuff not backed up, but some Quicken files and pictures I really would rather not lose. If the past I feel like I had someone fix this for me, but had to create a "restore point?" Is this correct?

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me out!

Have you recently upgraded to Windows 10 but hate the new and 'improved' Start menu? Stardock, a company known for its Windows-skinning software, might just have the tool for you...

Not worth the 5 bucks as far as I'm concerned. W10's start menu is very easy to get used to and I'm starting to prefer it to W7's.

I first started experiencing problems with my computer when I was searching in Google and being redirected to sites that were clearly not the ones I wanted to go to. I ran Malware Bytes - Anti-Malware and it detected and cleaned several problems but after rebooting my computer I keep getting the error message 'Windows Explorer has stopped working' and Windows Vista never finishes loading. I tried running in Safe Mode as well and I get the same message without Vista loading. Can anyone help me?

Hello,

I am running Window XP Pro and for some time have been getting the following common error message:

16 bit Windows Subsystem
C:\Windows\System32\Autoexec.nt
The system file is not suitable for running MS DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose 'Close' to terminate.
(Clicking on 'Close' or 'Ignore' has no further result)

I have read of similar problems requiring the file to be restored into the directory from a Windows Repair folder, but there is not one on our machine. I have searched for it with all files shown and know it has never been deleted. Is it possible a virus got rid of this?

I'm unsure if it is possible to download a copy of this file or if it is system specific... what should I do to remove this message and allow smooth operation of the DOS prompt?

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

I have Windows Vista Home Premium installed.

When I installed the updates shown in the attached screen printout and restart the computer (Gateway laptop with Intel T2060 1.6GHz) I get the following message: "An unauthorized change has been made to your licence", I'm been ask to activate Windows online (although I already activated Windows!), which I can't do since I don't have a LAN connection...

The only solution I found was to restore to before this update installation and disable Windows update... which is a bit annoying, right?

I ran avast anti-virus and uniblue spyeraser... problem is still there.

Any help, please?

There's a "word bubble" icon in your system tray, click it and you'll open the Action Center. Select the "All Settings" flywheel icon. There should be a "Update & Security" icon.

Despite being Win 10 Home, you can instruct it to search for available updates and install on your own volition. It's only if you don't do that, Windows will d/l and schedule an install time.

WINDOWS\SYSTEMS32\CONFIG\SYSTEM

Getting this message when I try to start the compute (not the one I am using now)
It is a Gateway Laptop with Win XP Prof.
It was working fine until this morning when I was using it and it just went off, I was using it with the battery only (not plugged in) and believe the battery went dead.
When I tried to start it back up the page that says start windows normally and safe mode came up with that error message, it would not start normally, tried safe mode and it would not work either.
It did this about a week ago also but when I clicked start windows normally, it went off and then started right.
I read somewhere on the internet that it could mess up the registry and need to use the original setup cd-rom which I DO NOT HAVE.
Any way to fix it??????

So my cousin wanted his laptop formatted so i inserted the Windows 7 DVD and formatted the 2 partitions that he had created and then deleted them.. so i got 1 full hard drive of 150 GB... then i installed Windows 7 on it...

Then when i tried to boot up i got the error "windows failed to start. a recent hardware or software change might be the cause" and i got some options... i selected continue with windows 7 and then got another message saying "Setup is starting services" and stucks there... i also cant boot via safe mode.... it will load some files but then it will restart and nothing will happen...

I am pretty sure that if i re-install Windows 7 it will show these messages again and again..

How could i fix this problem that im having?

A:Windows logo key on keyboard not bringing up the windows start menu

I think your best bet is to try another keyboard if you have one.

If the problem disappears that suggests you have a suspect key on the original keyboard.

If the problem doesn't go away you can assume it's a Windows problem.

Is there any dirt on the keyboard and have you checked whether the Windows key sticks?

Failing that, you could try a system restore to a point in time before the problem occurred.

HELP! I've tried everything, but I cannot get the print spooler service to start on Windows 10. I have viewed your youtube talk and did everything you suggested (e.g. no "lex..." thing going on). I have a brand new Dell laptop. Add Device found the printer (an HP Photosmart 5520 series) but it never connected or worked. I tried uninstalling the printer but it just stalls and does nothing. I've tried installing driver updates from HP, but they say "failed installation." The operating system error message I get is:

Windows could not start the Print Spooler service on Local Computer.
Error 0x800706b9: Not enough resources are available to complete this operation.

What?

Hi guys, I used windows 7 on my Gigabyte Q1580L Laptop, and I formatted it. After installing the new windows 7 Ultimate edition that I use, the laptop reboots, but it doesn't go past the "Press any key to boot from CD" screen. I have tried installing window 7 several times now and it keeps giving me the same problem. I have also run the troubleshooting from the windows 7 CD, but it didn't find any problems. I just don't understand why this Windows 7 doesn't want to start up, because it works on my other computer, so there is nothing wrong with the Windows 7 CD, and my laptop had windows 7 on it, and now its not working.

Can anyone please assist me in why this keeps happening?

A:Solved: Windows 7 fails to start after formating and installing new windows 7

Are you able to remove the disk before booting so that you do not encounter the "press any key to boot from CD" prompt?

Hi guys So I bought a laptop a year ago and it came with the windows OS However after some time the windows OS was really getting on my nerves and I wanted to downgrade to windows OS The problem is that I was able to successfully install windows screen start install on Windows from up 7 downgrade 8, windows Blue ultimate to my laptop and after giving it a name and a username Windows 7 install downgrade from windows 8, Blue screen on start up the laptop would reboot like normal Windows 7 install downgrade from windows 8, Blue screen on start up Upon reaching the windows logo screen with the four colors the blue screen of death comes on with this error code STOP x A x A x x x keep in mind that the code trails off the screen where I can barely count the zeros so I don't know if this is correct or not The laptop I bought is an ASUS X LB-NH Intel Core i U GHz GB Memory GB HDD Windows -bit I have tried looking around numerous places but could not find an answer There was a reference to the bios might being outdated or not compatible so I tried updating the bios by flashing it but ASUS bios for the laptop didn't help at all I tried reinstalling windows again but arrived at the same problem again I have set the secure boot to disabled and enabled Launch CSM and Launch PXE OpROM policy I don't believe my ram sticks are unseated as the laptop was working just fine before my OS downgrade nor have I dropped it in the process I've read in a few places that people have successfully downgraded this laptop to windows but I'm having the hardest time figuring out how I really need help Thanks in advance

Hello,

Have you tried running any hardware diagnostics tests via your bios startup or download one and run via usb? I know its ironic how you just replaced software and its not working but i would double check on your hardware. Now you said you re-installed windows? Which version? back to 8 or reloaded windows 7 ultimate? I would try installing another version. You can download any version iso online and use the same CD key. This should at least get you pointed in the right directly please let me know the results of the tests.

I'm currently offers only windows the 10 to option downloading Windows update start on Windows x Pro For a while now I've had windows update set to only get the update list and then let me choose when and what Windows update only offers the option to start downloading windows 10 to install Today I opened the program to do a check of new updates and download install them but I'm presented only with the option to upgrade to windows The problem is that I don't want to install Windows The problem is that I've read many at best marginal reports as well a many scathing condemnations of user experiences with Win and have decided that I don't want to take the upgrade at this time That said it seems MS is intent on preventing me from even attempting to install Win updates because there doesn't appear to be a way to begin installing them The are available to select for download under the available updates page but selecting them and pressing 'Ok' simply takes me back to the main screen with only the option to begin my upgrade process and no option to download install the selected updates Is there any way around this or am I really only presented with the option of running an insecure machine or updating to Win Thanks PS I have to say for the record that being pressured to make the upgrade to the point that MS seems to be forcing it through without giving me the option to decide for myself doesn't really give me the warm fuzzies about upgrading at all

A:Windows update only offers the option to start downloading windows 10

Allow me to make several subjective comments. First, although, you have heard many negative comments about Windows 10, I have used the OS, since the release and am more than happy with its performance. I have experience with Windows 98, Vista and Seven and now 10 and 10 is the best by far. Since this is only one man's opinion allow me to discuss the updates.
If you have not already given it a try, hide, the problem update. When you see it just right click and then indicate hide. The effect will be as though it was never there.
If you facts, are as you state, I would agree that you have every right to be unhappy with the circumstances.

Hello all,
I've had two partitions, one with XP and another one with Windows 7.
At boot runtime I could choose one of the two from the Window boot menu.
Later I installed a linux distro (debian) into another partition with the Grub support.
All worked fine. I could start linux or the Windows boot menu from Grub and so on.
All worked fine until today when while working on partions I accidentally deleted the linux one.

Now at start up it runs grub with an error (error 22) without showing the usual OS menu.

I tried also to recover the Windows 7 partition using the Windows 7 dvd installation.
The start up recovery tool said it fixed all things. But rebooting I'm still getting the same grub error.

How can I solve this problem and restore the Windows 7 boot menu?

Thank you

Hi,

I've got a very strange problem.

When I start XP, Windows File Explorer launches 70+ times in separate windows.

When it finishes I can close them and everything works fine.

I've done full Virus scans with Kaspersky and AVG, and I've run CC Cleaner and fixed any registry errors, but it still happens.

Please, any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I have searched through a lot of threads here and am starting to lean towards a hardware issue I will try my best to give a run up windows fails 7 screen boot, start no Windows to down of what I have what i seeing what i've done and anything else that may help Computer is about months old Toshiba Satellite L D-S A few days ago I turned it on and after the bios screen I received a bootmgr error I tried a start up repair from my windows dvd along with some various online tips Occasionally the computer would start up but not always When it doesn't start up it goes through the bios screen to a black screen and stops It will sit at this screen for a few minutes before it reboots and tries again with the same end result I eventually decided that I would start with a clean slate I formatted the hard drive removed all partitions and did a clean install of windows After installing the drivers the computer runs but is best way to describe laggy Everything taking longer than it should to do anything After windows completes Windows 7 fails to boot, no windows start up screen all its updates it again fails to boot I have run start Windows 7 fails to boot, no windows start up screen up recovery and it tells me i can not find any issues I ran memtestx and it found zero issues I downloaded the HD test software found at this link Software Utilities But the issue is I can't access the advanced boot settings via f as nothing happens other than my computer beeping at me and sitting there with a black screen I am open to ideas options and things I should try
