Preferred Solution: BSOD wile using a torrent program

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/directdownload.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

I need some help I'm having a BSOD every now and then when I am playing a game called Guild Wars 2 it comes at random times and I can't really afford to put it in the shop only for them to tell me i need to spend more money on it. I'm not sure what program to use to get my detailed system specs but here are the basics.

OS: Windows 7 Home Premium
Motherboard: ASUS M4A87TD/USB3
Processor: AMD Phenom II X6 1100T 3.30GHz
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460
RAM: CORSAIR DOMINATOR 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800)

You have overclocked RAM for your processor. Try clocking it back to 1333 MHz frequency since that is what is recommended for that processor, and let us know if that provides more stability. If not, proceed with the following steps.

BugCheck 0x124
You have a 0x124 hardware bugcheck. If the system is still under warranty, I would recommend sending it in to have diagnostic tests done and any bad hardware replaced.

Quote:

Before you proceed with the following, answer these two questions: Are you still under warranty? Does your warranty allow you to open up the machine to check hardware? If you are unsure of the answers to these questions, contact your system manufacturer. WARNING: The steps that follow can void your warranty!!!

For your hardware stop 0x124 crash, use the following hardware checks. If you are overclocking any hardware, please stop.

Run FurMark to test the display card for artifacts and temperature issues.

Run Display card memory tests to check the display card for memory problems.

Run Disk Check with both boxes checked for all HDDs and with Automatically fix file system errors checked for all SSDs. Post back your logs for the checks after finding them using Event Viewer. In Event Viewer, expand Windows Logs, click Application to let it load, right click Application and click Find.... Search for chkdsk or wininit to find the logs.
For any drives that do not give the message: Windows has checked the file system and found no problemsrun disk check again as above. In other words, if it says: Windows has made corrections to the file systemafter running the disk check, run the disk check again.

Run all Basic tests with SeaTools: S.M.A.R.T. Check, Short Drive Self Test, Drive Information, Short Generic, and Long Generic. Run the tests for all HDDs.SeaTools for Windows

SeaTools for DOS
If you have an SSD, make sure the following are up to date:SSD firmware
BIOS Version
Chipset Drivers
Hard disk controller drivers/SATA drivers
If you have a Marvell IDE ATA/ATAPI device, make sure the drivers are up to date from the Intel site or Marvell site and not from your motherboard/vendor support site.

Run Memtest86+ for at least 7-10 passes. It may take up to 22 passes to find problems. Make sure to run it once after the system has been on for a few hours and is warm, and then also run it again when the system has been off for a few hours and is cold.

Run Prime95 to test your CPU, RAM modules, and general hardware.

Hi Kharon,

Firstly uninstall Daemon tools as it is well known for BSOD.

Start > click on Computer > Uninstall or change a program > choose Daemon tools. Reboot.
Once uninstalled please go here and remove the SPTD driver itself with this tool:

http://www.duplexsecure.com/en/downloads

If you see an Uninstall option for SPTD, click on it.
Otherwise, go to C:\Windows\System32\drivers,
look for and delete SPTD.sys manually. Reboot

The majority of your crashes are for the following faulting drivers:

For the past few weeks, every time I open a torrent client (Vuze or uTorrent), Windows 7 crashes and gives me a blue screen of death. However, this has also happened when I'm just browsing the internet or playing music from Windows Media Player. I'm running the free version of Avast! anti-virus, maybe that is causing the problem?

Make it short. After you finish downloaded, just leave the torrent program alone and you will be uploading, if you don't know.

Hi, i get a BSOD lately whenever i'm torrenting something, it usually gives the IRQL_EQUAL_OR_LESS_THAN notice, something like that.

here is the .dmp file.

Please get back to me!

A:BSOD whenever i torrent something

Hi conor blah.

Update Realtek RTL8101E Family PCI-E Fast Ethernet NIC (NDIS 6.20) from Realtek ..... get the first one form the list: Win7 and WinServer 2008 R2 Driver. Install it following Driver Install - Device Manager.

Uninstall AVG following http://www.avg.com/us-en/utilities. Use Microsoft Security Essentials as your antivirus with windows inbuilt firewall, and free MBAM as the on demand scanner.
Download, install and update those, and then run full system scans with both of them, one by one, for a safety reason.

Let us know the results.

Crashes are caused by your Fujitsu Siemens Computers WLAN 802.11b/g (SiS163u) device driver.

Code:
906b2000 906e7600 sis163u sis163u.sys Sun May 6 23:48:43 2007 (463EBDBB)
The driver is from 2007. Try to find an update for it. If you are unable to find an update, consider replacing the device with one that is current and compatible with Windows 7.

Also, USB wireless network adapters often cause crashes. USB ports do not supply the necessary power for these devices to run reliably. We recommend replacing USB wireless network adapters with PCI wireless network adapters. I am not sure whether yours is USB as it says, but I thought I would provide that information in case it was.
Before upgrading to Windows 7, did you check your system's compatibility? Windows 7 Compatibility: Software Programs & Hardware Devices: Find Updates, Drivers, & Downloads -> Download and run the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor.

Many of us on the forums actually do not recommend automated optimization tools for Windows 7. Windows 7 does a much better job of handling its own optimization than its predecessors did. We especially do not recommend registry cleaning as an "optimization" step because automated registry cleaning causes more harm to the registry than it actually repairs.

In the future, if you need help optimizing Windows 7, please post a thread in Performance & Maintenance - Windows 7 Forums or follow the tutorial enclosed in that forum to Optimize Windows 7.

Analysis:It is difficult to find patterns without more .dmp files. Your one crash points to memory problems or driver conflicts. If you are overclocking any hardware, please stop.

Run the boot version of Memtest86+ paying close attention to Parts 2 and 3 of the tutorial. Also, in case Memtest86+ misses anything and comes up with no errors, run the extended version of the Windows Memory Diagnostics Tool for at least five passes. These you may want to run overnight since they take a long time to complete (run them an hour before bed each of the next two nights and check before going to sleep that they are still running).

   Warning
Before you proceed with the following, answer these two questions: Are you still under warranty? Does your warranty allow you to open up the machine to check hardware? If you are unsure of the answers to these questions, contact your system manufacturer. WARNING: The steps that follow can void your warranty!!!

For Part 3: If You Have Errors: If you swap any memory components, follow these steps for ESD safety:Shut down and turn off your computer.
Unplug all power supplies to the computer (AC Power then battery for laptops, AC power for desktops)
Hold down the power button for 30 seconds to close the circuit and ensure all power drains from components.
Make sure you are grounded by using proper grounding techniques, i.e. work on an anti-static workbench, anti-static desk, or an anti-static pad. Hold something metallic while touching it to the anti-static surface, or use an anti-static wristband to attach to the anti-static material while working. If you do not have an anti-static workbench, desk, or pad, you can use your computer tower/case by finding a metal hold in it, such as a drive bay.
Once these steps have been followed, it is safe to remove and replace components within your computer.

An underlying driver may be incompatible\conflicting with your system. Run Driver Verifier to find any issues. To run Driver Verifier, do the following:a. Backup your system and user files
b. Create a system restore point
c. If you do not have a Windows 7 DVD, Create a system repair disc
d. In Windows 7:Click the Start Menu
Type verifier in Search programs and files (do not hit enter)
Right click verifier and click Run as administrator
Put a tick in Create custom settings (for code developers) and click next
Put a tick in Select individual settings from a full list and click next
Set up the individual settings as in the image and click next
Attachment 219176
Put a tick in Select driver names from a list
Put a tick next to all non-Microsoft drivers.
Click Finish.
Restart your computer.

If Windows cannot start in normal mode with driver verifier running, start in safe mode. If it cannot start in safe mode or normal mode, restore the system restore point using System Restore OPTION TWO.

If you are unable to start Windows with all drivers being verified or if the blue screen crashes fail to create .dmp files, run them in groups of 5 or 10 until you find a group that causes blue screen crashes and stores the blue screen .dmp files. The idea with Verifier is to cause the system to crash, so do the things you normally do that cause crashes. After you have a few crashes, upload the crash reports ... Read more

Recently wile i have been playing graphics intensive games my desktop has had this problem were it will freeze, the display will distort and whatever sound was playing will continue on a short loop. The problem has been happening more frequently and with less intensive games lately.

To fix it I have tryed to wipe the hard drive and reinstall windows, installed all windows updates and upgraded the NVIDIA drivers. These steps seemed to have no effect on the crashes.

AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Duel Core Processor 6000+

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260

Yes I know the computer is getting old for a gaming pc but i don't quite have the money yet to replace it and gaming on my laptop is a pain so any non hardware solution would be much appreciated

A:Windows get BSOD when downloading with Torrent

julyzerg,

These crashes were caused by memory exception.
Please run these two tests to verify your memory and find which driver is causing the problem.
If you are overclocking anything reset to default before running these tests.
In other words STOP!!!
1-Memtest.

Quote:
*Download a copy of Memtest86 and burn the ISO to a CD using Iso Recorder or another ISO burning program. Memtest86+ - Advanced Memory Diagnostic Tool

*Boot from the CD, and leave it running for at least 5 or 6 passes.

Just remember, any time Memtest reports errors, it can be either bad RAM or a bad motherboard slot.

Test the sticks individually, and if you find a good one, test it in all slots.

Any errors are indicative of a memory problem.

If a known good stick fails in a motherboard slot it is probably the slot.

RAM - Test with Memtest86+

2-Driver verifier

Quote:
Using Driver Verifier is an iffy proposition. Most times it'll crash and it'll tell you what the driver is. But sometimes it'll crash and won't tell you the driver. Other times it'll crash before you can log in to Windows. If you can't get to Safe Mode, then you'll have to resort to offline editing of the registry to disable Driver Verifier.

So, I'd suggest that you first backup your stuff and then make sure you've got access to another computer so you can contact us if problems arise. Then make a System Restore point (so you can restore the system using the Vista/Win7 Startup Repair feature).

Then, here's the procedure:
- Go to Start and type in "verifier" (without the quotes) and press Enter
- Select "Create custom settings (for code developers)" and click "Next"
- Select "Select individual settings from a full list" and click "Next"
- Select everything EXCEPT FOR "Special Pool", "Force Pending I/O Requests" and "Low Resource Simulation" and click "Next"
- Select "Select driver names from a list" and click "Next"
Then select all drivers NOT provided by Microsoft and click "Next"
- Select "Finish" on the next page.

Reboot the system and wait for it to crash to the Blue Screen. Continue to use your system normally, and if you know what causes the crash, do that repeatedly. The objective here is to get the system to crash because Driver Verifier is stressing the drivers out. If it doesn't crash for you, then let it run for at least 36 hours of continuous operation (an estimate on my part).

Reboot into Windows (after the crash) and turn off Driver Verifier by going back in and selecting "Delete existing settings" on the first page, then locate and zip up the memory dump file and upload it with your next post.

If you can't get into Windows because it crashes too soon, try it in Safe Mode.
If you can't get into Safe Mode, try using System Restore from your installation DVD to set the system back to the previous restore point that you created.

If that doesn't work, post back and we'll have to see about fixing the registry entry off-line:

Code:
Delete these registry keys to stop Driver Verifier from loading (works in XP, Vista, Win7):
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management\VerifyDrivers
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management\VerifyDriverLevel

All related to netio.sys, which usually means the installed malware application.
I do notice McAffee which is a frequent cause of BSOD's. I would remove and replace it with Microsoft Security Essentials AT LEAST TO TEST!

I have seen similar threads, but I think my issue is different as the solutions haven't worked for me. I ran the SF diagnostic, but it didn't place a folder on my computer to zip and upload. If someone could help me with that step, I can get this started,

edit: Also, I didn't get the blue screen recently, but I did have it set to save the dump file when it happened last, I hope that the SF program can still grab from the last BSOD. If not I will recreate the problem and make it happen again. Also I did set it up to save the mini dump for next time. Should I change it to the kernal option instead?

As of this moment it seems to be related to a intel wireless device.
Without looking at the error log I can't be sure. It could also be an issue with av/firewall software.

There were two causes the first Related to RTL8192cu.sys USB NDIS Driver from Realtek Semiconductor Corporation

The second the Asus Bluetooth driver

I would re-install both with the newest avalable drivers.

Follow the steps to How to uninstall or reinstall supported McAfee products using the McAfee Consumer Products Removal tool (MCPR.exe) because it appears to be corrupted.

If that does not work, use those steps again to uninstall McAfee. Replace it with either of these:Microsoft Security Essentials - Free Antivirus for Windows coupled with Malwarebytes. Do not start the free trial of Malwarebytes. Just use the standalone version, update it, and scan your computer once a week with Malwarebytes and with Microsoft Security Essentials.

Good and Free system security combination.

After installing your security software, update it, and then run full scans today with each program. Report back the results of the scans.
Test to see if the system is stable after doing the above steps. To test, do your normal routine for twice as long as it typically takes for you to get a crash.

Hi, this is my problem for a long time. I bought my new laptop 2 months ago. I tried these solutions:
-I updated Windows and all drivers
-I was using Avast, but I read anti-virus programs occur this kind of BSOD, so I uninstalled it and I installed Microsoft Security Essentials.
However the problem was not solved. Also I tried to run driver verifier but after restart again BSOD.. I don't know what to do.. I attach SF Diagnostic Tool files.

Thanks in advance!

Hi 2december and welcome to the forums. Looking at your dump files it appears to be your wireless driver that is causing the problem:

Hi everyone I've been Torrent New from Applications BSOD Seagate HDD, having a lot of problems with torrenting lately I tried to figure out why I kept getting BSOD's from simply installing the torrent applications on my computer It all started when I needed a new hard drive I bought a Seagate HDD at Best Buy back in October After installing everything that New Seagate HDD, BSOD from Torrent Applications I needed to on my computer I started having problems I would constantly get blue screens which I couldn't figure out for a long time I've got two laptops The one I'm primarily using is a Samsung QX with Windows -bit and the other is an ASUS X U with Windows -bit Both not running torrents and ended up with constant BSOD's I took the Samsung in to Best Buy and they told me I had viruses even with my virus protector giving me no warning of having a single virus on my computer After downloading uTorrent I apparently had this weird uTorrent toolbar which I believed at the time that what was driving the viruses I've never had a single problem with torrents or uTorrent ever up until now I downloaded uTorrent off of their website I even tried Bittorrent but that ended up with these apparent quot viruses quot as well Somehow this StartNow toolbar known for vicious viruses had been added to my computer without my knowledge and this other strange toolbar that gave me a weird homepage with virus ads below a Bing search bar in the center Evidently the new Seagate HDD I bought for the Samsung did fail and I ended up having to get a new one replaced and installed I lost everything on my computer Now I'm using a the nd new HDD and it's already given me problems with BSODs I wanted to see if I could transfer the uTorrent over from the ASUS since it's no longer having torrent or blue screen issues instead of downloading it from uTorrent's website and it still gave me another BSOD I took it back into Best Buy recently and they told me that I had viruses this time completely out of no where since everything on my computer was completely brand new and they removed uTorrent off of my computer once again I haven't had a single problem since they removed it but I just don't understand what I can do about the Blue Screening I can't use these Blue Screen applications to recognize what's causing the problem since every time I get a BSOD it says failed to create dump files I honestly don't know what's going on but I'm almost afraid to torrent anything anymore I'm very safe on what I download I've been doing this for many years Now all of the sudden I have to take my laptop in every other week Any help would be great Thanks so much

I recently bought a new pc bundle (brand: acer) after two weeks it began suffering BSOD. I looked into the trend and found that it usually goes dump when I'm using a torrent client and sometimes when I play some video.

The only thing that I caught during the BSOD is NETIO.SYS.

What does this mean? My PC is not yet one month and it's giving me problem already. I do not want to bring it to where I bought it because it's quite far and the tower is quite heavy and I do not have a car.

I'm pretty sure it has to do with either my network adapter as I have 2 (Think I use 1), or my Firewall as I have 2 (Think I use 1).

I have attached the dump file.

I have a default network adapter and a Killer wireless adapter and I use the killer wireless.

I turned off McAfee and Windows Firewall and only use Norton Internet Security.

Security App
Crashes indicate McAfee being a possible cause. Remove McAfee and replace with Microsoft Security Essentials to see if it provides more stability. Uninstallers (removal tools) for common antivirus software

Microsoft Security Essentials and Malwarebytes are recommended from a strict BSOD perspective. They do not cause blue screens on the system as other AV products do.

DO NOT start the free trial of MalwareBytes, unselect that option when prompted.

Make full scans with both separately.

A:BSOD immediately upon starting any torrent client

Hi herman1134,

I would recommend to clean install Windows using a genuine activation and stop pirating programs. Piracy is more then likely against the forum rules and as such no support will be given until all piracy has been removed and you have genuinely activated your installation after a clean installation.

I turned on my computer in the morning to open up the downloading application to download files before i went to work. When i came back at night, i went to turn my monitor on, the BSOD came right up after i clicked on "close program" because the downloading application was not responding.
Sometimes this problem happens when i use Qvod player. The computer will get BSOD after a few hours without using it.
The computer works just fine any other time if i don't use the downloader (gaming, web browsing, youtube)
This problem really bothers me. And this is my first post on seven forums. Help me out guys!
Thank you!

A:BSOD Memory Management when using torrent downloader

Hello hughhuang.

Your crash dumps are not showing any finite probable cause. In such a situation, it is better to enable Driver Verifier to monitor the drivers.
Driver Verifier - Enable and Disable
Run Driver Verifier for 24 hours or the occurrence of the next crash, whichever is earlier.

Test your RAM modules for possible errors.
How to Test and Diagnose RAM Issues with Memtest86+
Run memtest for at least 8 passes, preferably overnight, per RAM module per slot.

Let us know the results, with the subsequent crash dumps, if any.

For some time I have been having a problem with BSOD's whilst downloading torrents It started with uTorrent For ages I could not work out what was happening No matter how large or small the file was BSOD downloading when files x64 Windows 7 torrent in it would crash on me In the end I uninstalled uTorrent and decided to try a different program Vuze Now this one IS a little more successful In the sense that if I am downloading a smaller file it may complete and a BSOD does not occur It seems to me on larger files above what size of file I BSOD in Windows 7 x64 when downloading torrent files am not sure after BSOD in Windows 7 x64 when downloading torrent files a random BSOD in Windows 7 x64 when downloading torrent files amount of time the crash occurs I am assuming that there is some kind of conflict occuring which causes this to happen Now there is one slight possibility that I suspect MAY be the culprit but am unsure and may need confirmation I only first noticed this happening a little while after I bought new memory for my computer I upgraded from Gb of Mhz DDR memory to Gb of Mhz DDR Now my motherboard doesnt operate at Mhz memory speed but have underclocked it to Mhz instead Unfortunately I cannot confirm if this is the case by re-using the previous memory as I seem to have mislayed it somewhere Any help sorting this problem out would be grateful and Ive attached necessary files that your SF Diagnostic tool has grabbed for me

Any help will be thankful.

Blamed on Netio.sys, which often is caused by the malware app you are using.
I do notice Kaspersky which is a frequent cause of BSOD's. I would remove and replace it with Microsoft Security Essentials at least to test.

Several problems
1-Please remove any CD visualization programs such as Daemon Tools and Alcohol 120%.

They use a driver, found in your dmp, called sptd.sys, that is notorious for causing BSODs.

Use this SPTD uninstaller DuplexSecure - Downloads DuplexSecure - FAQ

when you're done you can use this Freeware MagicISO Virtual CD/DVD-ROM(MagicDisc) in its place.
2- Your McAffee remove and replace with Microsoft Security essentials

How to uninstall or reinstall supported McAfee consumer products using the McAfee Consumer Products Removal tool (MCPR.exe)

Microsoft Security Essentials - Free Antivirus for Windows

3-ATItool.sys remove it. Its from 2006.

Update your ATI/AMD display driver to the latest WHQL.
You can get it from the link in our forum, Latest AMD Catalyst Video Driver for Windows 7, or you may go to AMD Graphics Driver and Software and opt for Automatically Detect and Install the appropriate driver for your card.

During installation, you may opt for advanced installation, and install the display driver only, not the Catalyst Control Center.

I never have this problem before but yesterday when I try to copy a few files from my D drive over to a USE flashdrive, the windows explorer hangs and a error message pops up saying that the windows has stopped responding. I clicked on the "Shut down program" and the trasfers were forced to stop.

I am not sure what is causing this problem and I have all the latest windows patches applied.

Also, would the forced close down of the transfer cause any distrimental effect to both my D drive and my USB flashdrive?

Victor, the driver that controls your ethernet card is oudated, and its my guess that is the problem. To solve the problem, you need to update by locating the correct driver by going to this site:

http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/...Downloads=true

And then clicking US1 as shown in red in the image:

Attachment 342814

Open the ZIP file, and extract the contents to a folder. Go to that folder, and locate and run SetUp.exe.

Now re-start the computer. If you have more BSOD's let us know - I have some other things I noticed too, but lets get this driver updated first.

A:BSOD while installing u-torrent, main reason aswebr.sys

Hello coolactive. Sorry for such a late response.

I want to ask you a few questions.
Do you use any third party firewall?
Have you tried any other similar program?
Have you tried to add any exception for torrent in your firewall ?
First try another similar program, and see if the same thing happens.

Hey guys, I've been having these freezes now for a while;

http://www.sevenforums.com/crashes-d...e-no-bsod.html
http://www.sevenforums.com/crashes-d...nt-client.html

& I can't seem to get rid of them..

I tried everything as suggested before, tested the hardware again a couple of days ago (approx 16 hours Memtest86+ 4.10, 150 passes LinX all memory, approx 4 hours Furmark dual gpu) all without errors, checked/disabled services etc, but still the system freezes at random - though most of the time (85%) while running a torrent client (Deluge/uTorrent/Tixati).

Retail Win7 Ultimate 64 - installed approx 5 weeks ago
Still running Microsoft Security Essentials

Hope someone could be so kind & show me the source of the latest crash.

Thanks again.

A:Again.. System freeze, no BSOD while running torrent client (Deluge)

Love to help but no DMP included Try this

If you wish to have others assist you with your computer's BSOD symptoms, upload the contents of your "\Windows\Minidump" folder. The procedure:

* Copy the contents of \Windows\Minidump to another (temporary) location somewhere on your machine.
* Zip up the copy.
* Start your own thread in the appropriate section of the forum and attach the ZIP archive to your post using the "paperclip" (file attachments) button.
* Briefly describe the problem history and circumstances in the same post. Somebody will attend to your query as soon as possible.

Hello Together,

i have a BSOD when i use torrent (does not matter which type).
The main message in the BSOD is " "Driver IRQL not less or Equal""
I know this is a really common BSOD but still i have no idea how to fix it (also i am a noob with PC's)

Further on i am using an HP ProBook 6560b, which is my work Laptop, (all admin rights are on me)
the only problem which it brings is that i can not really change the security software (McAfee).

attached the SF diagnostic file.

No DMP's included in upload. Please try this method.

We do need the DMP file as it contains the only record of the sequence of events leading up to the crash, what drivers were loaded, and what was responsible.

You may be able to get the DMP files without crashing by booting into safe mode (F8) with networking.

To enable us to assist you with your computer's BSOD symptoms, upload the contents of your "\Windows\Minidump" folder.

The procedure:

* Copy the contents of \Windows\Minidump to another (temporary) location somewhere on your machine.
* Zip up the copy.
* Attach the ZIP archive to your post using the "paperclip" (file attachments) button.
*If the files are too large please upload them to a file sharing service like "Rapidshare" and put a link to them in your reply.
To ensure minidumps are enabled:

* Go to Start, in the Search Box type: sysdm.cpl, press Enter.
* Under the Advanced tab, click on the Startup and Recovery Settings... button.
* Ensure that Automatically restart is unchecked.
* Under the Write Debugging Information header select Small memory dump (256 kB) in the dropdown box (the 256kb varies).
* Ensure that the Small Dump Directory is listed as %systemroot%\Minidump.
* OK your way out.
* Reboot if changes have been made.

I installed an antivirus program and Adobe Acrobat on Win 7 64 bit ultimate. It requested a system restart. Upon restart, I had a BSOD immediately after the Windows 7 splash screen (before Win requests my user password). Upon BSOD, it auto-restarted my PC and automatically brought me in to Windows repair. After waiting 45 minutes and seeing Windows repair wasn't doing anything, I just turned off and turned on my PC. I got another BSOD. Then, I rebooted again, and it was able to load into Windows.

I've attached my dump file. Any what's causing this and how I can fix?

Thanks.

SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED_M (1000007e)
This is a very common bugcheck. Usually the exception address pinpoints
the driver/function that caused the problem. Always note this address
as well as the link date of the driver/image that contains this address.
Some common problems are exception code 0x80000003. This means a hard
coded breakpoint or assertion was hit, but this system was booted
/NODEBUG. This is not supposed to happen as developers should never have
hardcoded breakpoints in retail code, but ...
If this happens, make sure a debugger gets connected, and the
system is booted /DEBUG. This will let us see why this breakpoint is
happening.
Arguments:
Arg1: ffffffffc0000005, The exception code that was not handled

Hey guys any one know much about bit torrent? Is it worth it?? I just got a new comp. and cable modem I want a good file sharing program but am not sure what I shoud get. I thought Butterfly they have good reviews. Also is this stuff illegal???? I am kinda naive when it comes to such things?

A:Bit torrent???

The programs themselves are not illegal, but 99.9% of what you download using them usually is.

For that reason it is against the forum rules to offer any assistance or advice on these (P2P) programs.

You may care to check out the rules?

So I have decided to download it elsewhere at a faster speed, but i wont be able to download it at once, So I want to ask you if there is a software that would help me to download the file part by part.
Also I have heard about Bittorrent which I heard would help to download large files quickly, Please help me regarding this as I am completely new to this.I have some of my friends who tell me that it is possible to get any software or e-books using Bittorrent, please tell me if this is possible, if yes please tell me how??

A:Bit Torrent Help!

If you want to use torrents to download files then you will need something like uTorrent. This will allow you to download music, videos, ebooks and the like. A couple of words of warning though. Many of the files are copyrighted, so it is illegal to download them (it's up to you if you want to download copyright material). Also, a lot of files you find by filesharing are fake and may contain viruses and/or spyware. You have to be careful downloading this kind of stuff.

What client are you using?

There's a new version just around the corner (it was released, but was so full of bugs they had to pull it), which might fix any problems you've got.

Also, have you tried using different clients?

What is the best program that you think you can recommend me for dowmloading bit torrents. Limewire, Morpheous have high risks of getting viruses i have experienced.

Please anyone let me know the GREATEST recommened bit torrent downloader you suggest.

Thanks!

A:Bit Torrent

You can get viruses from any file sharing network, so always remember to scan for viruses.
My favorite BitTorrent client is Azureus; it is very feature rich yet simple enough for most ppl to use. Also keep in mind Limewire and Morpheus are not BitTorrent clients; they are Gnutella clients.
