Q: Random BSOD multiple errors ntoskrnl.exe+75bc0 bug check 0x00000101

I am working on a laptop that has been getting random BSOD usually while nothing special is running. I have run memory checks, several antivirus scans to remove a lot of malware and trojans. Finally at my wits end with this. I would very much appreciate it if someone could point me in the right direction as to what is causing it.

This is a month old build that has been plagued by this kernel BG of Kingston extreme ram Intel I Causing multiple BSOD ntoskrnl.exe+75bc0 K processor Gigabyte Motherboard and a later added EVGA GB video card All inside of a corsair case and W PS I do ntoskrnl.exe+75bc0 Causing multiple BSOD have an Associates in Networking and computer tech but I have never diagnosed a blue screen problem before so this is all new to me As stated in the thread title ntoskrnl.exe+75bc0 Causing multiple BSOD it is the ntoskrnl exe bc kernel that is causing the blue screens and I am not sure what to make of it I used blue screen view and from the help of the board here I used the windows debugging tool and that also pointed to the same ntoskrnl exe bc kernel I downloaded the windows diagnostic tool and hopefully that was done right and properly uploaded because I could use the help I did run memtest and was given a clean bill of health but I might run it again just to be on the safe side I would greatly appreciate any help And merry Christmas John

Please help! I feel in over my head for once.

I believe all of my drivers are current. I've reset BIOS to recommended settings. I ran one pass on memtest with no errors. I've run virus scans.

I'm not sure if it's related, but I think I may have had/have a memory leak related to svchost.exe LOCAL SERVICE EventSystem COM + Event System. The other day this Process was using 4GB of RAM, and now I'm getting all these BSODs. I could be wrong on which svchost it was.

Been battling BSOD on and off randomly for a while, always ntoskrnl.exe+75bc0. Started after installing Alan Wake. Windows and all drivers up to date. Ran memtest, HDD Diag, System verication, stress tested system and a few other things with no luck.

These minidumps don't contain enough information to directly pinpoint the cause. But because the errors are calling Windows Hardware Error Architecture it's safe to assume that an uncorrectable error occurred somewhere in hardware.

This happened only recently, and as per title, totally random.
I dont have to be doing anything in particular, but it would just crash without any warning.

Stress test the Graphics Card using Furmark.

Are you overclocking? As you are getting BSODs, you should stop overclocking and run all the hardware components like CPU, GPU and RAM to their default settings.

Install the NVIDIA DRIVERS 314.22WHQL only.
Uninstall All nvidia items in Control Panel > Programs and features3D Vision Control Driver

Graphics Driver
HD Audio Driver
PhysX
nvidia Update
(Are you using nvidia chipset drivers? If so, dont uninstall anything other than those are listed).
Now follow Drivers - Clean Left over Files after Uninstalling

This is a fresh build made with a combination of new and older parts. Over the past week, It's crashed 5 times, under varying loads. I'm guessing it's a hardware issue, but I'm no expert. Please help me fix this issue.

I don't know how other's feel about this, but as a practice I will not download anything to my computer unless I know exactly what the content is.
 
Once the MiniTooBox scan is finished you can copy and then paste the results in your topic.  You can do the same with the minidumps.  I would post these separately, ex. post #3 minitoolbox, post #4 minidumps.
 
The Speccy is showing the 12V rail to be 8.064V.  I suspect this isn't accurate, but it would be worth putting a meter on it to be sure.  If it is accurate, then your PSU has a problem.

 Since it will be necessary for your computer to be on during this procedure, you need to be aware that you will be working with live 12Volt DC potentials, which if handled improperly may lead to electrical shock. 

 

There are electronics inside the case that are very susceptible to electrostatic discharges. To protect your computer, touch the metal of the case to discharge yourself of any electrostatic charges before touching any of the components inside.

 

If you are not comfortable doing this procedure, then I would suggest that you not use this tutorial. The risks involved are minimal, but are there nevertheless. Anyone who uses this tutorial will be doing so at their own risk.

 
 
There are two devices commonly used to read the rail voltages: a PSU tester, and a multimeter. 
 
The PSU tester is the easiest to use since all that is necessary is to plug the different connectors into the tester and read the results on the LCD display. The problem with most of these is that they only perform a pass/fail test.  They will not provide you with actual voltage readings.
 
There are a variety of multiple meters, but this tutorial will address Analog and Digital multimeters. The advantage of these meters is that you will be able to obtain accurate real time voltage readings.
 
For those of you who wish to know more about multimeters there is an excellent article in Wikipedia.
 
 
Analog Multimeter
 

 
 
An Analog multimeter is a little more complicated to use. Both Analog and Digital multimeters need to be set to the appropriate voltage, but with an Analog multimeter, you will need to choose the voltage range and must read the proper scale. 
 
The Analog multimeter uses a needle display which moves from 0 across the scale until it reaches the voltage being tested. This multimeter has five major linear divisions with multiple scales to read a variety of ranges. An example would be three different ranges. The first is graduated in increments of 0 through 5, the second, 0 through 10, and the third, 0 through 25. Each of these ranges are subdivided into divisions that are graduated into tenths. In order to read 12 volts the 0 through 25 range would be the appropriate one. 
 
Because DC voltage has positive and negative potentials this device is polar sensitive, this means that if you reverse the two probes when reading a positive DC voltage it will read as a negative voltage. This is actually necessary to read negative DC voltages. The two probes are differentiated by their color, Black (negative), and Red (positive). To read a positive DC voltage, the correct probes must be used with their corresponding potentials (positive to positive and negative to negative). 
 
With the probes being used normally to read a negative DC voltage, the needle moves from the 0 to the left, "pegging" the needle. By reversing the probes you can properly read the negative voltages.

Hi all!

I've been fighting this random BSOD issue for a couple of months now, and am starting to get really frustrated with it.

I have included the various dumps as requested. I BELIEVE that it's related to the crappy Marvell RAID controller driver included on the mobo since I'm missing a disk in Windows (brand new.) But, I'm not experienced enough to debug this issue.

Could somebody take a look and help me troubleshoot this? Please let me know if you need anything else.

Ever since I bought this new computer months ago it's already been giving me problems with BSOD's and the tech company that constant these of Really random BSOD's tired ntoskrnl.exe+75bc0 sold it to me is literally useless to help me with this problem First of all I bought it with sticks of GB RAM totaling GB RAM but apparently the RAM sticks were corrupt or Really tired of these constant random BSOD's ntoskrnl.exe+75bc0 something tried exchanging them various times and the corrupt RAM gave me BSOD's when there were sticks in but it works fine with only stick of GB RAM The sticks are apparently conflicting with eachother and the tech company decided to give me stick of GB which I'll be recieving trading in Really tired of these constant random BSOD's ntoskrnl.exe+75bc0 for the GB's next week Moving on Really tired of these constant random BSOD's ntoskrnl.exe+75bc0 sometimes even with RAM stick I still get BSOD issues I have bluescreenview and eventually it all leads up to something called quot ntoskrnl exe bc quot I feel like they built my computer wrong or something But I also feel like it's an NVIDIA Graphics card issue Thing is I don't know what to do about it as I'm not knowledgeable with computers Back when I tried using this computer with sticks of GB RAM it worked except when I tried to run games like League of Legends it simply would just outright BSOD when I ran a game I also BSOD'd times while typing this thread after receiving today my computer back from the tech company who are basically like quot idk quot towards the whole situation If anyone knows what the problem is and what I could do to fix this help would be very much appreciated and I would be very graetful thank you

Yes, I agree that it is bad that the BSODs are occurring even with 1 RAM stick. But, multiple things are failing here, display and network.

Update the intel network driver from https://downloadcenter.intel.com/default.aspx.

Install the NVIDIA DRIVERS 314.22WHQL only.
Uninstall All nvidia items in Control Panel > Programs and features3D Vision Control Driver
3D Vision Driver
Graphics Driver

I have been getting BSODs everyday now for the past 2 days.

The sequence of events went as follows.
RAM test 1 pass was passed. Verifier.exe caused immediate BSOD on windows start when activated. Trying to hunt down drivers revealed any combo of 3 or more drivers gave BSOD at startup. Randomly decided to recheck RAM. Failed memtest after 27 minutes pass 1. Found one RAM stick that passed after one pass slot0. Got fed up of waiting for other slot's. Devised a plan to use verifier to check the RAM by seeing which combo's of RAM sticks gave BSOD on startup. All combo's passed. And now verifier does not give BSOD on any setting. Began to hate life. Cheered myself up with prospect of sleep. Put all 16 Gb RAM in properly and ran mentest for 18 hours, 6 passes. No error. Still no verifier.exe errors when enabled. Wrote this update.


If RAM failed after 27min one test, and then after swapping around a retest of 18 hours has no error, one would presume the RAM may be ok. Equally, I believe one could say the RAM is suspect. So, if the test is failed it really doesn't tell us anything except there is a problem somewhere. But we know there is a problem since we have BSOD!!! If I hadn't rerun the test I wouldn't question the RAM.

So the question is: how do I categorically ensure that a stick of RAM is good? Is memtest on RAM with an alternative working computer enough?



In summary:

I ran memtest for 18 hours, which was 6 passes. No problems detected. Using verifier.exe with protocols given on this forum I no longer get BSOD.

Currently my hypothesis is that the RAM was never seated correctly, or given that it takes a bit of force to insert correctly into motherboard, the flexing has at least temporarily defused whatever fault was causing my BSOD. Tenuous I know. But I really have no other explanation other than something somewhere on the motherboard or power is failing, or even the RAM.

I'd remove Adaware, Spybot, Online Threat Engine and any other malware removal tools you have. thne put a top free antivirus like MSE or Avira. Then consider a more dedicated, configurable firewall like Comodo or ZoneAlarm.
 
Could be a dying power supply... but better to tie up your security if this is a financial machine.

This bugcheck means that pageable memory was referenced at an IRQL too high. This is an illegal operation as pageable memory can only be referenced at IRQL 1 (APC Level) or IRQL 0 (Passive Level).

So why doesn't the IRQL lower to access the memory address?

Windows doesn't work that way for good reason.
An Interrupt request (IRQ) has been initiated it is serviced in an order of priorities, for example an IRQ has been sent to service an I/O and an IRQ has been sent to draw a Window for an application, the disk I/O is more important so it is put at an IRQL higher than the application request. Right, so the I/O IRQ has to be completed before the IRQL can lower to service the IRQs below it.
Now, when something tries to access pageable memory at an IRQL higher than APC level it generates a page fault because the memory has been paged out to disk, now this page fault cannot be resolved by the trap handler because the IRQL is too high but the page fault needs servicing.

It then becomes a stalemate, you can't complete the page fault because the IRQL is too high but you cannot lower the IRQL because it needs servicing so the system bugchecks.

The best to do is a clean reinstall. But before doing that, make it sure that the hardware are working properly.

Hey guys first time posting from ntoskrnl.exe, errors multiple BSOD here but I found a lot of good information in my BSOD research so figured I should go ahead and make a thread Computer is a few years old a home build running Windows Home Premium x Haven't really had too many problems other than the occasional BSOD or random restart but it's gotten a lot worse lately so I wanna get to the bottom of BSOD from ntoskrnl.exe, multiple errors it The two errors I've gotten are Memory Management and System Service Exception both seem to be linked to the ntoskrnl exe file I also ran the System File Checker and got the following error reported quot Cannot repair member file l quot kerberos dll quot of Microsoft-Windows-Security-Kerberos quot BSOD from ntoskrnl.exe, multiple errors Lastly I ran the windows memory diagnostic and it detected several hardware errors My conclusion from all this and what I've read so far is I will probably have to do at least one of three things A system restore to a couple weeks ago Repair the system OS with my Win disc Replace the RAM Wanted to post here before I try any of those though Whew ok sorry to be long winded but wanted to provide as much info as possible

This computer runs a program named HAUPTWERK, which generates pipe organ sounds based on MIDI input. I leave this computer on all the time with the HAUPTWERK program running. Recently, the BSODs have started - usually overnight and always when no MIDI activity is happening and the computer should be idle. Hi Chuck.

A stop 0x9F BSOD is caused by Advanced Configuration and Power Interface (ACPI), the power management options. Technically it is termed as DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE. That means, some driver is failing to act or response properly during the power transitions.

The failing drivers, as I am noticing are
mafw.sys, Service for M-Audio FireWire (c:\windows\system32\drivers\mafw.sys); a component of your M-Audio Delta 1010LT sound card.
iastor.sys, Intel AHCI Controller (c:\windows\system32\drivers\iastor.sys); Intel(R) Desktop/Workstation/Server Express Chipset SATA AHCI Controller.
Now let us think what should be done these these drivers.

For the M-Audio stuff, I am failing to suggest updates, as there is no feasible update as I am seeing in M-AUDIO - Drivers and Software Search.

In that situation, you should try removing that card.

Get rid of intel rapid storage. First uninstall it from Control Panel > Programs and Features. Then Uninstall the driver from device manager.
Right click on "my computer" icon and click "manage" on the context menu.
It will open the "computer management" window.
Select "Device Manager" in the left pane, It will list all the existing devices up.
Expand "IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers" by clicking on the triangle in front of it.
Select one Intel device item under it, right click, uninstall.
Continue the process for all Intel items under "IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers"
Now restart the computer. At restart, windows will auto configure the appropriate native system driver.
Alternatively, you may try one more thing .... as it is ACPI related ....

Device queue is not busy.
Disable hibernate. Follow Hibernate - Enable or Disable. Disable sleep too. As it is a desktop computer, hibernate and sleep is not needed at all.

If the issues are still there even after disabling hibernate and sleep, remove the M-Audio sound card and uninstall Intel Rapid Storage.

Uninstall NetLimiter. It causes BSODs wherever it is present.

Free up the startup. Windows does not need any other program to auto start with it, but the auto start programs often conflicts and causes various problems including BSODs.
Click on the Start button
Type “msconfig (without quotes), click the resulting link. It will open the System Configuration window.
Select the “Startup” tab.
Deselect all items other than the antivirus and the touchpad driver, SynTPEnh.
Apply > OK
Accept then restart.
Upload the list of all the third party drivers Using NirSoft DriverView :
Download and execute Driverview
View > Hide Microsoft Drivers
Edit > Select all
File > Save Selected Items
In the Save dialog, Set the path to desktop, Put "Driverview" in the name field, and save.
Zip the .txt file and upload it.
Let us know.

You need not to enable driver verifier.

Upload your MSINFO32.nfo file, so that we can see a bit deeper.
Click on the start button
Type "msinfo32" (without quotes) in the search bar of the start menu, click the resulting link. It will open the System Information window.
File>Save. In the "File Name" filed, put "MSINFO32" (without Quote), give the save location to desktop, and click the "save" button.
Give the time for processing, it will save a .nfo file on your desktop.
Zip it, and upload it following the instruction.

Can you disable your webcam, at least as a test?

After disabling the webcam, put the computer to sleep, then wake it up. Do it a few times.

Does it still BSOD while waking up? Let us know.

This has come and gone for a long time. I ran a registry repair tool that seemed to fix it for about a month, but now it's back with a vengeance (4 BSODs today). Latest dump attached. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Eightforums,

I have been experiencing a few BSOD's yesterday, but most of them today. I have attached the a report from the SF Diagnostic tool. From a bit of research I found out that is could be most likely be a Windows (core file?) or a driver error. As the title suggests I got 3 different errors and they are PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA (the one I get most often), ATTEMPTED_WRITE_TO_READONLY_MEMORY and this BAD_POOL_HEADER.
Hopefully that is enough for you to find the error.

Hi,

I have recently been experiencing BSOD several times in the space of an hour, and am unsure of the cause. Blue Screen view has indicated that all the BSODs are related to ntoskrnl.exe.

I have included the recommended files according to the BSOD thread instructions.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, as other posts have seem to identify unrelated software as a potential reason. Also, I have seen posts linking to a microsoft hotfix, however I am little wary of using the hotfix.

It may also be worth noting that I have recently been using a replacement power cable that is under-spec (19V at 3.5A, when the original was delivered 20V at 4.5A). I am not sure whether this is the cause as the problem does not occur when running games or in safe mode.

If you require any more information, please do not hesitate to ask.

I get the same BSOD every time. Usually, almost exclusively when I shut the laptop and it is supposed to sleep. What happens is, it turns off. I have attached the BSOD file. I am guessing my power supply is running into problems. Tell me I am wrong.... please?

This has been happening quite a lot recently so i ran a whole bunch of diagnostic tests thinking maybe it was the ram but that turned up nothing, after viewing the crash reports in bluescreenview i determined it could possibly be a software issue so i did a fresh install of windows. Hi folks,

I'm a bit stumped on this error and was hoping some fine gents would have the time to look at this dump and see what might be causing my blue screens. It started in the last two weeks while I was playing SWTOR or HoN. There was no rhyme or reason when it happened, seems pretty random other than it happens while gaming. It's only happened about 5 times, but that seems consistent enough to make me worry.

Unfortunately I don't know what else has changed on my system other than installing Asus AI Suite and EVGA Precision for monitoring / fan control.

I have some bluescreen issues. Whenever I'm doing something graphically intensive, I get lots of bands of color across the screen for a few seconds. Then I get a BSOD for a second. I used BlueScreenView to pull up three logs. I've attached those for anyone who has some free time to look at them.
 
I've run memstest for 4 passes and there were no errors. This leads me to believe that my problems stem from either a bad GPU or some kind of driver conflict.

A:BSOD help! crash address - ntoskrnl.exe+75bc0

Since all four of these reports refer to system files, I would be inclined to run 'sfc /scannow' to repair any corrupted files. If you don't know how to do this :
 
Click on 'Start'; type 'cmd' into the search box (ALL typing without the quotes !); this may bring up a number of things but at the top will be 'cmd.exe'.
 
RIGHT click on this and choose 'Run as administrator'; then at the cursor type 'sfc /scannow' and press the 'Enter' key to start it running. Note that there is a space between 'sfc' and '/scannow'. Then let it run, it may take a while but let it finish. Then re-boot and try running something graphics intensive and see what happens.
 
Try the above, and if it works, great.  However your remarks 'graphically intensive' and 'bands of colour' suggest you may have either a graphics card problem or an over heating one. When you post back, if the problem isn't solved please give the make and model of your computer plus details on your graphics card.

My pc is having lots of BSOD for the past months.
The BluwScreenView shows that mostly the error has to do with ntoskrnl.exe+75bc0.

I tested my hdds and RAM (using MemTest) but there where no errors.

Are you overclocking? As you are getting BSODs, you should stop overclocking and run all the hardware components like CPU, GPU and RAM to their default settings.

Test your RAM modules for possible errors.
How to Test and Diagnose RAM Issues with Memtest86+
Run memtest for at least 8 passes, preferably overnight.

If it start showing errors/red lines, stop testing. A single error is enough to determine that something is going bad there.

Let us know the results.

Hi,

first at all, because of x109 BSOD I switched from Home Edition x64 to Ultimate x64. After a fresh install and after 1 day I'm already having new BSOD caused by ntoskrnl.exe+75bc0.

I have already:

1) Updated all the drivers through driver genius
2) Updated BIOS and Windows
3) Changed a suspect broken RAM (I have 2*4GB ram) - by memtest, anyway, no problem after 9 passes
4) Changed Antivirus (Avast, then AVG and now Windows Essential)

A:[SOLVED] BSOD - ntoskrnl.exe+75bc0 - IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

Kernel-Power 41 simply means the PC was powered down manually either by the user unplugging the power or pushing the reset power button.

I ran 7 of the dumps all show being caused by NETIO.SYS which is a Windows networking driver, it appears to me it's calling for a stop because of interference from your Emsisoft Firewall program(fwwfp764.sys), try disabling it and using windows firewall.

Good day,

I've been using my Dell XPS 8700 for some time now and ever since I've gotten it it randomy blue screens with multiple different errors, as the title implies. When I open up BlueScreenView, the errors seem to be commonly related to ntoskrnl.exe. This happened both in Windows 8 as well as when I updated to Windows 10. If it helps, I've already done a system reset in the past, and the issue remained.

Different error codes, 1 of those I have analysed shows network drivers, other don't show much.
This could be a difficult and time consuming troubleshooting process to find the culprit(s).

My computer recently started giving me BSOD's with increasing frequency. Most of them indicate that the NTOSKRNL.exe is the driver leading to the fault, which I have read means it is something else as this is maintained by microsoft, and most likely not the real problem.

After some faults, my computer will stop detecting one of my ram slots (I have no idea which one). Currently running 2x8GB sticks. I tried running the computer with each of the RAM chips in each slot (1:1,1:2,2:1,2:2) and got BSOD's with each.

I then switched to some old ram which I never had trouble with (2x2GB dell ram). Got another BSOD, no longer reading one of the ram slots.

Ran memtest 10 times without errors...

Help is appreciated!

Hello.

I've had BSOD's going on for a while and I've had no idea why until recently when i found out it was because of a .sys file called atikmpag.sys was failing. I solved that by installing new drivers for my graphics card. Then i was "BSOD-free" for about twelve hours until this new ntoskrnl.exe started failing on me aswell. I have no idea how to fix this and I'd like some help with it! The BSOD's come mostly while playing a game for instance WoW. I can sometimes play non-stop for hours, and sometimes it just BSOD on login. Sometimes the whole screen just go blurry and it doesn't go to a BSOD, but it just freezes the whole computer. As I said, I've got no idea how to fix this.

I've uploaded the minidumps from last two days of BSOD's.

I hope that You can help me. I would appreciate it very much!

I had a computer but thought it was time for a new one, got a new cpu video card motherboard power supply ram, all of it.
When I switched my hard drive to new computer i was getting BSOD so i reset the hard drive and installed windows 7
Kept getting it so i bought a new hard drive and put windows 7 on it and im still getting it
Switched this hard drive to the old computer and it was all fine but when i switched it back to this it started happening again.

I have had an ongoing issue on my PC with Memory Management.  I have tried updating the firmware on my BIOS,  I have disabled unneeded drivers and updated as many as I could find updates for.  I have popped and swapped my two 4GB memory modules.  I did download Memtest but I have not yet created the bootable cd to run it.  I have uninstalled Comodo AV and replace with MS Security Essentials.  AV and MalwareBytes scans are clean.  I have been running BlueScreenView but it only points to ntoskrnl.exe

If you are overclocking STOP
We could also use some system information, which you can get easily by running msinfo32.
To do that go to start>run>type msinfo32>enter

When it is finished running go to file>save>name it and upload to us here.

Hello I area in 0x00000050 ntoskrnl.exe+75bc0 BSOD nonpaged pagefault have a new user built PC with fresh install of windows home premium bit I have the bare minimum of programs installed such as Adobe BSOD pagefault in nonpaged area 0x00000050 ntoskrnl.exe+75bc0 Reader XI Panda Free Antivirus Google Chrome and HDHomerun I also have two external hard drives with data media In addition to receiving BSOD about once or twice per day often while the PC is idle I have also noticed Windows Media Center is disconnecting from my xbox extender after a few minutes Not sure if that is a separate issue or not Windows is fully updated with automatic updates turned on Most drivers were from motherboard support disc and most are updated All firmware is updated I believe Memtest passes times overnight with zero errors Seatools and dskchk show no hard drive errors i tested them all Furmark and Intel Burn test were run for about minutes with no crashes artifacts or lockups I replaced the power supply for good measure--no changes I'm really at a loss--I feel I've tested all hardware sufficiently but if I'm missing something please help I'm thinking it's a software issue conflict but I'm almost bare bones so can't figure out what Thanks for lending your expertise to my problem I appreciate any assistance you can offer Thanks Tim System i - k stock ASUS z pro XFX r x DD stock x gb G Skill ripjaws x ddr - Samsung SSD evo gb OS programs Antec trio PS

One other odd thing I have noticed multiple times. I have the monitor set to sleep after 10 minutes, and the computer is set to never sleep. I've found the monitor off after I've been AFK for a while (as it should be after 10 minutes), and when I return and move the mouse or hit the keyboard, the monitor doesn't power on. The mouse light is on, the case power light is on and I hear fans, the disc drives open, etc., but no signal to monitor. Toggling the power on the monitor does nothing. Also, the sleep button on the keyboard does not put the PC to sleep as usual. So it's like it's frozen, but in a way it isn't? This doesn't happen every time, but occasionally.

Hello,

This morning when i woke up when i switched my pc's monitor i got those beloved letters.My computer was on idle,probably it fell asleep.The settings on power options were on Balanced mode.Pc is on stock clocks.No overclock made.

Hello all I am looking for help in debugging two issues which I have been getting for the past week I have the system Power Management set up to put the system to Sleep but when it goes to sleep I get a BSOD and the system shut downs When I try to shut down the system via Windows the Shut Down screen appears but the loading icon keeps running and the system never actually shuts down The BSOD Bug Check Code is x f and the Caused by Address is ntoskrnl exe bc I do not get these issues on ntoskrnl.exe+75bc0 ends never on for mode and Sleep Shutdown BSOD a Clean Boot so from what I have read I am guessing it is driver related but I am too novice to determine which driver it is I ran Windows Update and updated a bunch of the other equipment drivers but it hasn't helped Note I did install a new ASUS RT-AC U router and a HP Photosmart printer over the holidays but this issue did not appear right away after the install Diagnostics zip file attached Thanks in advance for any help -Rob

USB Selective Suspend - Turn On or Off

Uninstall MCAfee Security Scan Plus.

Also search in Dell using your service tag .... if there is any Chipset and BIOS update for your model.

Hi everyone i have been having this issue intermittently I do some heavy gaming with no problems at all Batllefield on Ultra for - hours straight Most times this BSOD happens when i have left a torrent to download or i am simply opening a folder in explorer or browsing a web page I have researched this error many many times and have done several things to see if i can fix it myself they are as follows Checked RAM memtest and swapped sticks etc Upgraded firmware for SSD as i heard Vertex was known for BSODs Used the OS just on my Seagate HDD with the SSD uninstalled removed Replaced RAM with Corsair Vengeance GB had BSOD within - hours Made sure i am only using the two main intel GB SATA ports for SSD and HDD set to AHCI Am only running MSE as an antivirus I am BSOD ntoskrnl.exe+7f1c0, Bug Check - 0x000000f4 Random eager for help and will take any advice i can from the wealth of knowledge on these boards Kindly see attached my uploaded documents BSOD Random - ntoskrnl.exe+7f1c0, Bug Check 0x000000f4 and please don't hesitate to ask for more if they are needed Kindest regards Daco

Bluetooth is disabled. Is this deliberate? If so, why? Please re-enable the Bluetooth and update it. Once updated, feel free to disable it again.

Dirty bit is set on the G: drive. There are only 2 ways to fix this:
- run CHKDSK /R /F from and elevated (Run as adminstrator) Command Prompt
- fully format the drive
You can physically remove/disconnect the drive also
I'd suggest running hard drive diagnostics on ALL drives: Hard Drive Diagnostic Procedure

Triple check to make sure you're not using the Marvell controller.
Ensure that the Marvell Controller drivers are the latest available from the manufacturer.

Western Digital software dates from 2008. Please uninstall it.

100 mHz overclock in one of the memory dumps. Is this deliberate, or is there an auto-overclocking app present on the system (sorta like Turbo mode). If there is, please disable it - they've been known to cause BSOD's

Memory dumps seem to point towards a hard drive problem. I'd strongly suggest that you check all hard drives attached to the system - both internal and external (USB) - using this link: Hard Drive Diagnostic Procedure

It will help us to help you if we know what hardware we are dealing with. I would also suggest you uninstall any driver finders, registry cleaners or general 'speed up Windows' programs. That seems to be a product of WiseCleaners (Free Wise Solutions For Your PC - Free Wise Care 365, Free Registry Cleaner, Free Disk Cleaner, Free Data Recovery and Free Uninstaller) and I would suggest you uninstall it using their uninstall program Wise Program Uninstaller - Uinstall Software, Remove or Change Programs and Forced Uninstall for Free..

Once all of that is done please open an elevated command prompt ( click start, type cmd in the search box, right click on the cmd entry and select run as administrator) in the black box that opens, copy/paste sfc /scannow. If you decide to type it, notice the space between the sfc and the /. It is a system file checker which will scan your system files and attempt to correct any missing or corrupt files. What we want are the results to say windows found no integrity violations. If it says files were found but could not be repaired, close the box, reboot and run it again, after opening the administrative command prompt. You may have to reboot and run it three times for it to repair all system files. If it can't repair them after 3 reboots, let us know. Let us know the results and if your experience improves any.

Also please re run the Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) Posting Instructions several of the files were missing.

My computer has crashed twice today, giving me error code 0x00000101. The first time was while watching Netflix, and the second time was while playing Minecraft. Additionally, I got an error code 0x0000007A (ataport.sys) while surfing the internet.

Your Linksys AE1000 is a USB wireless device. Win7 doesn't like these devices and with older drivers they are a known cause of BSOD's. Here's my rant on them:

We've been seeing BSOD issues with SSD's. Here's the info that I've compiled:

0x101, unfortunately this bug check code doesn't contain enough
information in the minidump file be analyzed fully.

Please upload the Kernel dump file using Dropbox or Skydrive, the file is located in the Windows directory
and is usually a few hundred Megabytes in size.

Test for thermals and stability:
Download HWinfo and post a Screenshot of the sensors window, one at idle and another while putting load on the PC using Prime95 for the CPU side and Furmark for the GPU.Before running Prime95 make sure to enable Round-off checking (see 1st post under the tutorial).

It is not mandatory to run both tests simultaneously, although possible as long as the temperatures are under constant monitoring.

I bought my computer last year Custom build Everything was working fine until January th this year I experienced my first BSOD on this machine I've tried rolling back graphics drivers which were the only ones BSOD Sparse Win7-64bit (hal.dll+12a3b, 0x00000124 ntoskrnl.exe+75bc0) I had installed recently and it didn't help because days later the same BSOD happened The next BSOD didn't happen for another month And recently this is my th one that I am attaching in the log compilation The other dmp's were Sparse BSOD 0x00000124 (hal.dll+12a3b, ntoskrnl.exe+75bc0) Win7-64bit erased by me Sparse BSOD 0x00000124 (hal.dll+12a3b, ntoskrnl.exe+75bc0) Win7-64bit by accident but they all said the same thing when I opened them in BlueScreenView I will try reseating hardware and more stress tests when I have time but I'm really lost here as its such a sparse occurrence that it makes it really hard for me to test in a reasonable amount of time I'm hoping someone here can see what my inexperienced eyes are missing Here's what I do know - I didn't install any drivers for a while month or so other than the nvidia driver which I rolled back - I am not overclocking and just running stock and default BIOS Though since my rd BSOD I have turned on XMP for my RAM didn't make anything worse I guess - The BSOD happens very randomly Twice while I was playing fairly low resource demanding games Once while I was just on desktop dragging organizing files And most recently Sparse BSOD 0x00000124 (hal.dll+12a3b, ntoskrnl.exe+75bc0) Win7-64bit while browsing Twitch tv on Chrome There seems to be nothing in common which is really frustrating - It doesn't seem to be related to how long my computer has been running The most recent happened minutes after turning my computer on - I have a minor suspicion it could be my sound because it's always given me issues distorting not being detected randomly at startup But it is onboard and I have no idea how to begin testing it I will post updates as I perform further tests will be running memtest thru the night last time only ran for hours Please let me know any good suggestions Thanks a lot

First of all, apologies if I miss something.

This BSoD caused me to lose some unsaved data, and I am not happy. It happened multiple times in the past, but as I reset my PC to a system image, those minidumps aren't there. I would like to know if this could be caused by defective components, as most of them are nearly out of warranty. Attached is my "DM Log" zip file.

Hello A couple weeks ago i bought a brand new notebook a Lenovo G running Windows Home Premium x and a few days ago it started BSOD'ing to the point that it was impossible to use the computer because the BSOD happened almost every time The BSOD all had random error codes and almost always were because of ntoskrnl exe one time fltmgr sys and another time fileinfo sys i think according to bluescreenview I ran memtest for passes and fltmgr.sys, ntoskrnl.exe, Ntfs.sys multiple BSOD, codes Random - it right on the beginning it found like errors I called Lenovo support and they told me to format the computer using Lenovo's system partiton After the format i just left the pc running idle and after a while it BSOD again Booting in safe mode did not give BSOD I also ran Ubuntu via Live USB and did not have any crashes Random BSOD, multiple codes - ntoskrnl.exe, fltmgr.sys, Ntfs.sys In Ubuntu i left the computer running multiple p mkv movies in loop for half a day and also opened dozens of programs at once to try and stress the system and no crashes Temperature was normal After that i ran Memtest - No errors the k errors found before dont appear anymore Prime for a few hours - No errors crashes Furmark - No errors crashes temperatures ok Seatools Seagate HD Diagnostics - No errors crashes Lenovo's LSC Lite HD and Memory diagnostics - No errors crashes Even with all those tests i still got a few BSOD later So i was thinking that maybe the Lenovo's recovery system had a corrupted windows installation or there was a conflict with the pre-installed softwares drivers and decided to try another windows version I formatted again deleted the partitions and installed Windows Ultimate x After the second format now with Windows Ultimate x i left the pc running completely clean of drivers and applications for a few hours and no crashes So i installed a few drivers and a few applications I went to sleep and left Windows downloading updates All seemed well But this morning when installing the Windows' updates the system BSOD again The dump file is attached I really want to make sure that i have a hardware problem before sending it to the repair shop which can take up to days to get the computer back So any help will be greatly appreciated And sorry for the really long text i wanted to give the max number of informations as possible The system specs are Model Lenovo G Processor Intel Core I m Ram Memory GB stick Graphics Intel HD OS Windows Home Premium x OEM After nd format Windows Ultimate x retail installed yesterday

A:Random BSOD, multiple codes - ntoskrnl.exe, fltmgr.sys, Ntfs.sys

Almost impossible to diagnose a problem from a single DMP. There is no way to spot trends, etc. If this DMP is from the final re-install, and is supposed clean there are BT drivers, etc.

I am a big fan of Nir Sofer's work, BUT blueScreenView more often than not, doesn't point out the correct causes. Similarly Who crashed is even worse.

I prefer to use WinDbg (the Windows Debugging Tools) to read the memory dumps. It is the Gold standard for those of us that do this and often will give us the answer by itself. (we don't need the full jcgriff2 report each time).

This crash was related to a memory exception (probably a driver). You need to run memtest for 6-8 continuous passes.

Also run verifier as indicated below.

These crashes were caused by memory corruption/exception (Cx05) probably a driver.
Please run these two tests to verify your memory and find which driver is causing the problem.

* If you are overclocking anything reset to default before running these tests.
In other words STOP!!!

* If you have raid update its Driver.

The objective here is to get the system to crash because Driver Verifier is stressing the drivers out.
If it doesn't crash for you, then let it run for at least 36 hours of continuous operation.

Reboot into Windows (after the crash) and turn off Driver Verifier by going back in and selecting "Delete existing settings" on the first page, then locate and zip up the memory dump file and upload it with your next post.

If you can't get into Windows because it crashes too soon, try it in Safe Mode.
If you can't get into Safe Mode, try using System Restore from your installation DVD to set the system back to the previous restore point that you created. You did create a restore point didnt you?

Hello everybody

Since a couple of days I get a BSOD when I play Minecraft. The BSOD appears after a few minutes of playtime. It even appears when I am in the menus.

Things i have tried:
- Updating my video card drivers
- updating my Java

I am not really that handy with computers.

I've been having fairly frequent, seemingly random BSOD's lately, only major hardware change I've made recently was upgrade my videocard to my current Nvidia GTX 750 Ti.

Errors are multiple, including Kernel_Security_Check_Failure, PFN_List_Corrupt, and System_Service_Exception.

Ran memory check and hard drive error check, no problems there.

Just upgraded mobo, ram, cpu, and video card. Keep getting random BSOD. For example, sometimes it will happen when i run the windows experience index, sometimes it won't, and same goes for other applications. It seems to happen the most when i have both sticks of RAM installed. Works fine with just one, and it doesn't matter which one it is.
I've ran memtest on both sticks of ram in every slot by themselves, and also together. No errors after 7 passes. Manually updated all drivers.

- DDI compliance checking

Reboot the system and wait for it to crash to the Blue Screen.
Continue to use your system normally, and if you know what causes the crash, do that repeatedly.
The objective here is to get the system to crash because Driver Verifier is stressing the drivers out.
If it doesn't crash for you, then let it run for at least 36 hours of continuous operation.
Reboot into Windows (after the crash) and turn off Driver Verifier by going back in and selecting "Delete existing settings" on the first page, then locate and zip up the memory dump file and upload it with your next post.
If you can't get into Windows because it crashes too soon, try it in Safe Mode.
If you can't get into Safe Mode, try using System Restore from your installation DVD to set the system back to the previous restore point that you created.

I'm having multiple bsod that happens very randomly. I recently purchased an ssd it was working perfectly fine but now I just get these bsod. I think it's because my motherboard might be a slight defective but I still need help. I've been reformatting my windows to stop it, but it just keeps happening. Here are the logs of my bsod's before my last reformat. I don't know what else you I need besides the mini dumps I tried the tool but I just bsod when I use it, I can still boot my computer into safe mode.

Got this pc a week or so ago. BSOD seems to occur whenever I play games. I've played incremental games and used youtube for a few hours and some days it'll occur in an hour and some days it doesn't occur. It always occurs when playing most other games (on steam).

Not much I can say that isn't listed in the dump files except that Driver Verifier causes my audio to become shitty and I'll always end up with a corrupted screen (meaning I need to restart) before BSOD, so I can't seem to use that. I'll try and find a usb to run memtest+ on tonight.

The errors you're receiving are mostly pointing to corruption or some defect in hardware. Before we start looking at drivers could you perform the steps outlined below please.

Download and run MemTest86+ to test your RAM. RAM - Test with Memtest86+

Run MemTest86+ for at least 8 passes. Ideally set it off before you go to bed and leave it overnight, we're looking for zero errors here. A single error will show something's going bad with your RAM.
Run SeaTools to check the integrity of your HDD. SeaTools for DOS and Windows - How to Use

Run chkdsk. Disk Check

Open an elevated command prompt, type in or copy and paste sfc /scannow and hit enter.

This PC was built nearly a year ago and I am now starting to run into sever random BSODs I've done sever MemTest DskChks GPU tests CPU tests and have not run into but one odd problem When running a MemTest on he RAM only twice have I run into some errors I removed the sticks that were reported bad Though I'm still getting all types of errors Occasionally y the PC will also restart on it's own Originally I had x GB of RAM Now I'm occurrences. Multiple Random BSOD. errors. on GB One stick seemed to be bad But when I go back to test the other sticks I sometimes get errors and some times will not I've run passes on each stick in different slots Only BSOD. Random occurrences. sometimes I'll get errors then the next test on the SAME stick no errors I've checked all my drivers and made sure they were all up to date I've gone into the PC and made sure everything was plugged in correctly BSOD. Also made sure there were no bad capacitors and other components hardware Everything is secure in place and correctly installed hardware wise Tested the Power Supply and it checks out okay as well This did not start occurring after some software install either I've BSOD. We do need the DMP file as it contains the only record of the sequence of events leading up to the crash, what drivers were loaded, and what was responsible.

If you are overclocking STOP

You may be able to get the DMP files without crashing by booting into safe mode (F8) with networking.

I built my PC about two years ago and it has sporadically had BSoD's the entire time Sometimes it is while playing a game or just idling I can't seem to replicate it it just sort of happens My first thought was perhaps bad memory I initially had GB of Corsair ram that I have ran Memtest on for multiple passes and they have all come back clean Same for chkdsk on both of my drives the HDD BSoD's Random errors throwing multiple was the first primary OS drive until the SSD was Random BSoD's throwing multiple errors purchased They both have always come back clean I then thought it was my cracked version of Random BSoD's throwing multiple errors Windows I recently bought a licensed copy of windows more GB of Corsair ram and a new video card I added the RAM and video card first and logged in I started getting hard freezes after - minutes Random BSoD's throwing multiple errors of logging in with all ram sticks in then endless boot loops I did a fresh install of Win with the legit copy same thing I removed of the ram sticks the originals and the boot loops stopped and I was able to get windows updated and drivers installed I put the original ram back in and after an hour or so I got the original BSoD's again I then removed the original leaving the new ram in So far I have only gotten BSoD naturally with the new ram in but then again they have always been very random sometimes having in a day and then none for a few weeks I ran driver verifier and within minutes of running it caused a BSoD about the registry filter but most of the others are critical structure corruption via ntoskrnl or hal dll I am at a loss at this point guys Also I have zip file on my desktop but cannot seem to get the attach button or any of the buttons for that matter to work

Bsod can happen a couple minutes after startup, it can happen when using Chrome, it can happen when starting up a game. I cannot isolate what exactly triggers them. I have swapped ram around, ran with one, I have used memtest and it found no issues, all drivers have been updated. I'm lost at this point and an amateur so I need some direction.

Daemon tools, Alcohol 120% and Power Archiver Pro uses SCSI Pass Through Direct (SPTD), which is a well known cause for BSOD's.
Please remove Daemon Tools and run the SPTD pass through remover

This has been happening for some time now but multiple as freezes errors, random well with BSOD as it became more frequent recently The computer will seemingly freeze out of nowhere sometimes creating a BSOD sometimes not The way the problem comes up is kinda weird As long as I don't launch any intensive D applications the crash will either happen in the first few minutes after booting or not at BSOD with multiple errors, as well as random freezes all If I make it through the first few minutes then I can leave the PC BSOD with multiple errors, as well as random freezes running for weeks literally I tried as long as I don't do any gaming BSOD with multiple errors, as well as random freezes If however I get a crash then usually I'll get multiple in a row Once it even froze in BIOS Even weirder the same application game that can sometimes cause it to freeze within minutes multiple times in a row will at other times run with no problems for hours on end I've attached the zip with the last few dumps though obviously that's not the full extend of the problem seeing as quite a few of the freezes will leave no quot evidence quot behind I also have Kernel-Power ID errors in my event viewer though that seems to be the restarts I had to force after freezing Thanks in advance for your help

First of all stop overclocking it can cause unpredictable problems with an operating system and can potentially damage your hardware. The particular BSOD you are receiving can be caused by:

Hi,
Could really use some help in determining what's amiss. The crashes seem to randomly occur, at least nothing that I can pin point. I also tend to think this may be cause by both drivers and hardware as on at least two occasions the computer would not restart. When powered on, it failed post and went into a series of rapid beeps. I don't believe heat is an issue but it has taken awhile before I'm able to get it to reboot on those two occasions. I've read the posting rules and I believe all of the system info is listed on my profile and hopefully I've uploaded the dump file. but please let me know if I've missed something or there is additional information required.

It is almost impossible to find updates to nvidia chipset nowadays; specially for such an old HP.

So I would suggest you to get rid of the nvidia elements and use windows system native elements.

Boot into the BIOS. Disable RAID. Then perform a Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7

If you follow the guide step by step, it will lead to a perfect windows install which is driver complete itself. No need to install any drivers from nvidia other than the display driver for the graphics card GeForce 8800 GTS.

About months ago I started getting daily BSOD and black screen reboots At the time I was running Win and they started happening right after a windows update and video driver update Some days the computer would reboot - times during the day I rolled back my video driver and Multiple random BSOD Errors Kernel-Power to latest stable uninstalled the latest windows updates with no change I use computer daily for my work and had to do something quickly so I order a nd SSD and installed a fresh copy on Win x Ultimate w sp I thought things were fixed as I went nearly days before a reboot happened Multiple random BSOD and Kernel-Power Errors again Some times I get a BSOD sometimes screen just goes black and system reboots I lost several BSOD as my computer was not saving the dmp files Searched forums and made changes and last BSOD on save a BAD POOL HEADER mini Multiple random BSOD and Kernel-Power Errors dmp I've had black screen reboots without BSOD or dump file since then only record is the Kernel-Power in event log Most happen during normal computer usage sometimes idle with audio streaming I've run the following with no errors Multiple random BSOD and Kernel-Power Errors or reboots memtest for hours BurnInTest V FurMark I am running BOINC in the background and have tried disabling and still get reboots CPU GPU temps are consistently - c I am running default BIOS settings for both CPU and ram with no overclocking I updated to latest BIOS at the same time as the clean install Any help with solving this would be appreciated I've attached output from DM Log Collector to this post I have my original SSD with the Win install that was an upgrade from Win that I can boot to to run the DM Log Collector as well if this helps as it has a least one minidump as well and shows how frequently the Kernel power errors were occurring

You might want to mention it is a Mac.

The majority of these were caused by memory management (probably a driver).

Please run these two tests to verify your memory and find which driver is causing the problem.
1-Memtest.

*Download a copy of Memtest86 and burn the ISO to a CD using Iso Recorder or another ISO burning program. Memtest86+ - Advanced Memory Diagnostic Tool

*Boot from the CD, and leave it running for at least 5 or 6 passes.

Just remember, any time Memtest reports errors, it can be either bad RAM or a bad motherboard slot.

Test the sticks individually, and if you find a good one, test it in all slots.

They use a driver, found in your dmp, called sptd.sys, that is notorious for causing BSODs.

Hi I started getting these BSOD errors around March of this year. It happens when I leave the computer idle for a while and then come back to start using it. The auto restarts started happening recently. The BSOD errors sometimes happen when playing games or watching videos or than that it's completely random. I know that overheating is not a problem since I get the errors even on a cold start. I have not overclocked anything and tried multiple memory tests, disk checks, updated drivers and even removing all programs with windows restore. None of these worked.

One thing I noticed is that when I first bought my computer I could hear the fan running at a faster speed and sometimes it would speed up even more. Now the fan is just running normally and quietly all the time.

I'll be happy to provide any other information you guys need. Thanks in advance.

McAfee is a frequent cause of BSOD-s, consider uninstalling it with the McAfee Removal Tool and replace with Microsoft Security Essentials at least to test.How to uninstall or reinstall supported McAfee products using the Consumer Products Removal tool (MCPR)

Then follow Stop 0x124 - what it means and what to try step by step, you're having lot of 124 crashes

Take memtest. Run for 8 passes and test each stick in a know good slot for an additional 6 passes.

Hi Guys,

I've read other thread similar but lots of the answer have to do with the specifics of the hardware being run on the pc so i've started my own. I'm sorry if that was inappropriate. I will occasionally wake up in the morning, or come home from school/work to find a BSOD. I also get crashes while i'm gaming but that typically just hangs or makes a TERRIBLE noise from the speakers (not the tower).

Ran memtest86 and found heaps of errors. I have two ram sticks and ran memtest again with each individually. One of them had errors and the other was fine. It was still under warranty so I was able to get it replaced. No errors running memtest now with both ram in place. Will see if I get any more crashes but I don't think I will.

My PC crashes within 10 minutes of going into the game. This has happened with other games but not as often as with Bioshock 2. When it crashes and the blue screen pops up I noticed that it said a clock interrupt was not received on a secondary processor in time. I am not too sure what this means.

For the past several weeks, my computer will BSOD when running Eve Online and several other programs concurrently. Running three concurrent Eve clients will cause a BSOD within a couple minutes usually. I don't necessarily believe it's an Eve problem per se, it could be related to high memory or CPU usage, which three Eve clients definitely causes. I did a clean install of the latest NVIDIA driver yesterday, but saw no difference. It is crashing in ntoskrnl.exe. I have had this computer for about six months, and this just started happening recently. It's happened four times today alone.

This particular bugcheck is one of the few bugcheck codes (0x101) that cannot be analyzed with a minidump.
Please navigate to C:\Windows there should be a file titled MEMORY.dmp (usually a few hundred MB)

Good practice, open up the case and re-seat all types of connection.
SATA Cables (HDD/SSD/ODD).
SATA-Power.
Motherboard 24-pin.
Motherboard 4/8-pin (CPU).
Re-seat the RAM.
Re-seat the GPU.
Make sure that every slot / cable head is free of dust or other obstruction.
Make sure that every connection is seating properly and firmly in-place.

Also have a look at the motherboard and the GPU, search for any "bad caps", bulky, leaking bloated capacitors.

Download Speccy and post a Screenshot of the summary window, one at idle and another while putting load on the PC using Prime95 for the CPU side and Furmark for the GPU.

Its either AHCI or IDE.
After resetting the CMOS go back and verify the value for SATA Mode is what it was

Every time that I try to open certain games I get an instant crash that only sometimes shows the BSOD. Other times it just drops and comes back on. These games include Serious Sam 3, Saints Row 3, and Lord of the Rings: War of the North. I never even get to see a logo or a menu, the game never quite opens.

The diagnostic report is attached with my username as the .zip name.

EDIT: I do not overclock, and seeing as it is on start up of these games I don't believe it is a heat issue.

So apparently it is appearing that the system is overclocked. It is running on more megahertz than stock.

As you are getting BSODs, you should stop overclocking and run all the hardware components like CPU, GPU and RAM to their default settings.

You may not believe that it is a heat related issue, but as the computer is years old, we need to check the heat, as the bugcheck codes are mostly stop 0x124 and sometimes stop 0x101. Is the computer hot? Report us the heat of the computer after a couple of hours of your normal usage. Upload a screenshot of the summery tab of Speccy. Alternatively, you can publish a Speccy snapshot too: Speccy - Publish Snapshot of your System Specs .

Error on BSOD screen is "A clock interval was not received on a secondary processor within the allocated time interval"

After the BSOD, it didn't occur to me that running CCleaner would delete the DMP files, however I had already copied them to a safe location in order to upload them here...

I assume the DM collector won't work because CCleaner deleted the DMP files...

So well, I just watching YT, surf the webs. After that I had this BSOD. :I

And also I just noticed that my computer bit slow-ish lately, so I'm not sure if overheat is cause those things..

Windows 7 Ultimate x64, OEM, about 2 years old

This post is long overdue. My comp seems to BSOD regularly now. Usually when doing nothing more than looking at various forums on Chrome. Also, BSOD happens whether I'm running applications or not - I've turned on comp and left room while it boots only to be greeted by 'Start Windows Normally..." screen.

I'm not sure what more information you need to assist me, but let me know and I will get it ASAP.

Your Stop 0x124 is a hardware error.

If you are overclocking try resetting your processor to standard settings and see if that helps.

If you continue to get BSOD here are some more things you may want to consider.

This is usually heat related, defective hardware, memory or even processor though it is"possible" that it is driver related (rare).

5) Rarely, bugs in the OS may cause "false positive" 0x124 events where the hardware wasn't complaining but Windows thought otherwise (because of the bug).
At the time of writing, Windows 7 is not known to suffer from any such defects, but it is nevertheless important to always keep Windows itself updated.

6) Attempt to (stress) test those hardware components which can be put through their paces artificially.
The most obvious examples are the RAM and HDD(s).
For the RAM, use the in-built memory diagnostics (run MDSCHED) or the 3rd-party memtest86 utility to run many hours worth of testing.
For hard drives, check whether CHKDSK /R finds any problems on the drive(s), notably "bad sectors".
Unreliable RAM, in particular, is deadly as far as software is concerned, and anything other than a 100% clear memory test result is cause for concern. Unfortunately, even a 100% clear result from the diagnostics utilities does not guarantee that the RAM is free from defects - only that none were encountered during the test passes.

7) As the last of the non-invasive troubleshooting steps, perform a "vanilla" reinstallation of Windows: just the OS itself without any additional applications, games, utilities, updates, or new drivers - NOTHING AT ALL that is not sourced from the Windows 7 disc.
Should that fail to mitigate the 0x124 problem, jump to the next steps.
If you run the "vanilla" installation long enough to convince yourself that not a single 0x124 crash has occurred, start installing updates and applications slowly, always pausing between successive additions long enough to get a feel for whether the machine is still free from 0x124 crashes.
Should the crashing resume, obviously the very last software addition(s) may be somehow linked to the root cause.
If stop 0x124 errors persist despite the steps above, and the harware is under warranty, consider returning it and requesting a replacement which does not suffer periodic MCE events.
Be aware that attempting the subsequent harware troubleshooting steps may, in some cases, void your warranty:

8) Clean and carefully remove any dust from the inside of the machine.
Reseat all connectors and memory modules.
Use a can of compressed air to clean out the RAM DIMM sockets as much as possible.

While playing multiple games such as 7 days to die, counter strike, league of legends, Dota 2, Starcraft 2, and many others my computer will often randomly get a BSOD, sometimes during an intense part of the game or when I am simply walking somewhere. I've gotten error code 0x00000101 and I got 0x00000124 after using Verifier.

This has been happening for about a year, my brother told me that it was probably my power supply but after I looked into the error codes more I saw that these error codes are mostly for driver errors. This is where I was stumped. I know a little about computers but I had no idea how to find a corrupt driver or even how to find out if that was the problem. Any help would be great. Thanks.

Using HW Info
You can test the volts on the PSU with HW Info HWiNFO, HWiNFO32/64 - Download < download the right bit version and close the right hand window select Sensors and scroll down to the power section where you will see what the volts are doing see my pic.
The original right hand window shows the machine running and is handy for that but for looking at the components in some detail close it and use the main left hand side panel
FOR OTHER COMPONENTS
Open each + down into the component itself and then click on it - in the right hand side will appear all sorts of details including brands speeds and other essential info that device. See pic for example it is of my own Ivy Bridge desktop and you need to scroll to that section which gives the volts send a pic if you can please - this is just for starters.

My BSOD screens are getting worse. My computer setup is below in the files. There is a change that I have done. I had a GTS 250 1GB Dark knight with the most recent driver. I was having several BSOD issues a day when in use. I went back to an older driver after completely removing the up to date driver. It did not fix the issue.

I suspected an issue with the card itself, I removed the graphics card and completely removed all drivers. I am currently using the onboard graphics right now and the system is continuing to BSOD on a consistent basis.

I am using the most updated version of BIOS for the Motherboard.

The JPG that is attached is a picture of all the ones I have had in the last few days along with as much info as I can put in a single screenshot.
Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much.

Hi I've been having seconds. BSOD at error up for 5-10 PC also 0x00000101 locking random, this issue for about a month now and has now gotten teeth-gnashingly infuriating I have had this setup for about months and the last hardware added was a different DVD write about months ago No specific pattern cause but PC would just BSOD with the message quot BSOD at random, also PC locking up for 5-10 seconds. error 0x00000101 A clock interupt was not BSOD at random, also PC locking up for 5-10 seconds. error 0x00000101 received on a secondary processor quot I've rotated the RAM to see if this is any issue reseated the GFX card and even taken out stick of memory to see if this helps but it hasn't BSOD has gotten less frequent but the pausing and locking up is happening nearly every other minute and lasts for upto seconds I haven't updated to the latest BIOS as yet as according to the suppliers of the OC'd chip mobo it would render the OC redundant However I have now gone back to standard settings so maybe the BIOS update would be advisable Any help is greatly appreciated Many thanks

Is the computer hot? Report us the heat of the computer after a couple of hours of your normal usage. Upload a screenshot of the summery tab of Speccy.

Lte us know the results. Also upload your MSINFO32.nfo file.
Click on the start button
Type "msinfo32" (without quotes) in the search bar of the start menu, click the resulting link. It will open the System Information window.
File>Save. In the "File Name" filed, put "MSINFO32" (without Quote), give the save location to desktop, and click the "save" button.
Give the time for processing, it will save a .nfo file on your desktop.
Zip it, and upload it following the instruction.

Hi,

So i was reading and checking a lot of sites about this error and i think i done everything that i can do on my own. I am not realy a computer guy like more ppl out there. It started just random like one month ago mostly getting the (ntoskrnl.exe+75bc0) 0x00000101. Done some checks but i got no idea how to fix this. So i am starting this thread to find out what is realy going on with my pc and hope that someone will help me find a solution.

I recently upgrade my computer from Windows 7 Pro 32 bit to Windows 7 Pro 64 bit; so I'm pretty sure my issues are somewhat driver based.

Most of the time the BSOD's happen randomly; though some of the times are when launching games.

I'm a novice at understanding/interpreting the dump files so help is greatly appreciated.

Edit: Ran Windows in SafeMode for about an hour or two. Ran fine without any crashes.

Still having this problem. I uninstalled adn reinstalled all my drivers. I ran chkdsk (There was a few corruption, but they've been fixed). I ran Seatools - all tests passed. I have no idea what else to try. Any suggestions?

So a friend of mine has a problem with his PC, that gets BSOD'd every once in a while for the same reason every time. As far as I can tell that's the error he gets (0x00000101) and the file that BlueScreenView tells the problem comes from is ntoskrnl.exe. (as it can be seen here Screenshot by Lightshot)
I've attached the dump file.
some info that may help you get to the problem is that whenever he unplugs his headphones while he's in skype call, his PC freezes after a few seconds. (no BSOD, but he has to restart)
