BSOD playing Guild Wars 2 and other online games error 0x00000124

Q: BSOD playing Guild Wars 2 and other online games error 0x00000124

Recently I have been getting crashes while playing games. The screen will go black and the sound will lag and then it will crash. This does not persist outside of gaming. Crashes usually happen about 5-10 minutes within the session. I've updated my video driver and directx and ran a few passes with the windows RAM test with no errors. I've also reset my computer to factory conditions and instead of a "ntoskrnl.exe" driver crash the dump files now says its "hal.dll" issue. I downloaded software from western digital to test my hard drive and nothing came up. I'm at a loss here. Any suggestions?

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/directdownload.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

I was having the similar problem. I notice you're running an Nvidia card. Try reverting to the March driver release 347.88. Ever sense the GTAV release it has been jacked up. I did that and runs great now.

Try updating the Video Card drivers .

The BSOD 124 is a hardware issue .

I was playing guild wars 2, I assume I BSOD'ed however, I didn't see the screen. The system just acted like it reset but I had the BSOD error message when I logged back in. I had youtube in the back ground playing a music video and I had just clicked back in the video timeline to replay the video and it crashed... I tried to recreate the situation but it didn't happen again... I just replaced the RAM, GPU, and PSU a few days ago.. and am wondering if there are left over drivers from the old GPU, but am unsure how to check or if that is even the problem..

Attached is my SF Diagnostics file.
Thanks ahead of time for the help!

Ok so last week my hard drive went out on me and was videos Wars playing Guild Watching BSOD 2/ online completely unrecoverable After looking into it more I decided that I had to replace it with a new one I ended up ordering and installing a BSOD playing Guild Wars 2/ Watching videos online quot WD Blue GB Mobile Hard Drive Inch RPM SATA II MB Cache - WD BPVT quot Afterwards I had a friend help me download windows bit from Dreamspark my college has some Microsoft products which we can download for free and we installed it on the new hard drive I also picked up Office From there I started trying to re-install the things I had lost on my old hard drive mostly just games at this point I will try my best to remember and describe everything that I have done so far so please bear with me I have Steam so I began by reinstalling that as well as the few games that I have through it I'm mostly a console gamer and only play a few games on a Compaq laptop I also reinstalled Guild Wars at this point By now I had not run into any errors or crashes was just installing the things I wanted to put on the new hard drive I had used the internet a few times for Facebook and emails and even worked on a project using Excel but had no issues However when I started having BSOD playing Guild Wars 2/ Watching videos online more free time and began watching videos and playing Guild Wars again I started getting system crashes and BSODs I think the first came from watching a tv show online but it might have been Guild wars I can't remember Basically the video or game will freeze the sounds repeats a harsh buzzing sound and then I get the BSOD after the display quot glitches out quot on me The first few times I just restarted the computer as I was told without really looking at the information that the BSOD gave me But when it continued to happen I got with my friend and we tried figuring out what could be causing it I can't remember all of the specifics but basically we decided that it was probably a display video graphics driver so we tried downloading updates for the ATI drivers We even tried completely uninstalling all of the ATI ADM drivers and running a sweeper to clean up the scraps and then downloading just the basic Microsoft drivers This never seemed to work since every time I got into Guild wars or a video online a crash would eventually happen At one point I was able to play Guild Wars for over hours but recently it has crashed within minutes every time In short I've tried various levels updates of driver software without any success In terms of the actual errors I am getting from the BSODs the majority say quot driver irql not less or equal quot or have the error code x D and the most recent one of these had the file quot dxgmmsl sys quot I also had one recently that was quot system service exception quot quot x B quot and had the file quot dxgcrnl sys quot I have attached the dump files that I was told to make so hopefully that can be of some use If anyone willing to help ends up needing more information I'll try to check this thread daily and try to provide what you need Any help will be much appreciated thanks

A:BSOD playing Guild Wars 2/ Watching videos online

So, I tried looking at more forums and posts on my issue to see if I could find a possible fix, since I haven't had any replies yet. I found one that suggested downloaded a hot fix for windows update, as well as re-uninstalling my graphics setup and then trying to reinstall it again. Long story short, I did all of that and had a new update in windows update which was for my specific driver. Downloaded it and since then have been able to watch youtube videos for about 2 hours. I will continue to watch videos as a test, hopefully nothing goes wrong. Later on, I'll try playing games (some of the quickest crashes happened on those) and see if I've fixed the problem.

Recently did a fresh install with a new ssd. So i got some BSOD now
Usually happens when i play games I've noticed [did when i was playing guild wars 2 recently]

I'll add another dump(s) if more happen.

I've also had a BSOD when just searching using chrome. but i was dumb and rebooted before the dump could create the file.

I'm thinking its drivers issues. I've done memtest and let it run for over 8+ hours a few nights ago and had no issues.

Not sure if VmWare has anything to add to issues also. I run a win 7 vm always on.

Thanks for your time/helping me

Could someone please help me fix this issue? it's blue screened so many times it's causing a bit of frustration, because it's a perfectly good computer i don't want to replace it

sorry my crash files are 25.2 MB because there is alot, if suspicious do scan and things, i am pretty sure it is not video card or logitech drivers, only happens in games , never internet browsing , i've left my cpu on before for 2 days, and no bluescreen

A "stop 0x124" is fundamentally different to many other types of bluescreens because it stems from a hardware complaint. Stop 0x124 minidumps contain very little practical information, and it is therefore necessary to approach the problem as a case of hardware in an unknown state of distress. I don't really know what the problem is, I just bought my laptop 2-3 weeks ago. If anybody can reach out, it would be thoroughly appreciated.

Edit : Oh, and yes, my graphic driver is outdated as I received feedback that the new version wasn't all that good and compatible with GW2. Shall I try a more previous version than the latest? Thought I really don't know how.

A:BSOD playing Guild Wars 2, error 0x00000116

Before I downloaded GW2, I used to play lots of Steam MMO's for hours on end especially on weekends, namely TF2 and C9. They crashed or "hung" / froze, but never BSOD's, and only rarely did the freezes happen. But when I first played GW2, my first try crashed because I missed a few files that still needed to be downloaded. And if I remember correctly, my 2nd playtime on GW2 was fine, though I think my 3rd or 4th was when the BSOD's started happening quite frequently. Soon it affected my other games I don't know why, TF2 started crashing on the STARTUP! Never did this happen before! And it also affected League of Legends, a graphically weak game you can check it, to cause freezes but fortunately the game would resume after about 3 seconds of freezing. But still! LoL freezing?

I'll also try to uninstall McAfee though I still haven't gotten around to install NOD32.

Hi. Thank you for your time and expertise
For a while now I've had mostly BSOD 0x00000124 appearing on my screen when watching online videos(except YouTube) or whenever I played PC games on maximum video settings.
I decided to re-install Windows, assuming that software is the problem. Though after that not only did the BSOD stay, but also my computer started freezing randomly(on start-up, while installing updates, browsing the internet).
Also I installed Zorin OS 6. After a few minutes of browsing the internet(using Chrome) it also froze.
I tried running MemTest86+(using a CD) but after about 10 min. the computer screen shuts down on its own.
What should I do?

Update your ATI/AMD display driver.
You can get it from the link in our forum, Latest AMD Catalyst Video Driver for Windows 7, or you may go to AMD Graphics Driver and Software and opt for Automatically Detect and Install the appropriate driver for your card.

During installation, you may opt for advanced installation, and install the display driver only, not the Catalyst Control Center.

Let us know the results.

I uploaded the crash .dmp file. I am new to blue screen of deaths and I am having troubles trying to decipher to see what is wrong. I only have this issues with bigger games. I have no problems playing LoL or other smaller games. but when I play larger games like GW2, GTA5(on big crash scenes), or ARK I get the BSOD.

I ran the 3 in the upload all are the same
WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR (124)
A fatal hardware error has occurred. Parameter 1 identifies the type of error
source that reported the error. Parameter 2 holds the address of the
WHEA_ERROR_RECORD structure that describes the error conditon.

What this means is that a process hung a processor core, since the core is hung the debugging info can not be sent to the dmp file so we can't tell if the same process is hanging the core every time, we can tell that it is the same core/bank of cache though
In each case the !errrec shows Processor 0 Bank 4

Error : BUSLG_GENERIC_ERR_*_TIMEOUT_ERR (Proc 0 Bank 4)
Status : 0xfa00000000070f0f
Almost every time I've seen this it was caused by something other then the CPU, could be ram, video card or drivers.

Since it only occurs in 1 game I'm leaning more towards drivers.

Lets try running driver verifier, if it should happen to Blue Screen on start up be prepared to write down the code and driver named, often it happens early in the boot process and the dump collection/storage system is not loaded yet, meaning no data collection happens. Follow the instructions exactly.
Follow the instructions here, make sure to set a restore point before enabling verifier, also if you do not have Windows disk create a Windows repair disk

AVG is contributing to your BSOD's. Please remove it for testing purpose. Use Microsoft Security Essentials.

Recommended from a strict BSOD perspective, compatibility & stability compared to other security software:

Microsoft Security Essentials - Free Antivirus for Windows

Malwarebytes - Free

Good and Free system security combination.

Scan with Kaspersky TDSSKiller:Anti-rootkit utility TDSSKiller

ESET online scanner: Free Online Virus Scanner | ESET

Please update these older drivers. Links are included to assist in looking up the source of the drivers. If unable to find an update, please remove (un-install) the program responsible for that driver. DO NOT manually delete/rename the driver as it may make the system unbootable!:-

Counterfeit installations such as yours contains heavily modified code that causes the installation to behave it unexpected ways. Analysing BSOD's and determining their causes on these sorts of installations is very unreliable.

My recommendation is to start with a clean slate, and install a genuine version of Windows. This will minimise the problems you are experiencing, and make subsequent diagnosis of BSOD's far more reliable.

Hello so I never experienced a bsod with other games(Battle field 3, Dishonored, Far cry 3, batman, etc) only with this specific game guild wars 2. Was wondering if anyone could help me trouble shoot. Over the course of a few months it has occurred 15x all during the game. It is very random sometimes it wont happen for weeks. I will be playing the game and the screen will instantly turn teal/yellow/green and it will be hardlocked requiring a manual reset. I've tried everything from playing in windowded mode to playing at the lowest settings and doing a clean driver update using the feature that comes with the geforce driver update.

My specs are:
I7-2600K @ stock
570gtx @ stock
gskill ripjaws 8gb ram @1600mhz
Windows 7 64-bit home full retail

Temps are around 40-50F with the cpu and 60-70F with the gfx card so i doubt its a heating issue

Hi all of you cyber friends my first post BSOD going wars playing for Its 6 2. while on months been guild here in the forum so forgive me if I make any mistake So let s get started six months ago christmas time I bought a kickass gaming desktop computer here are the specs -Windows ultimate edition bits - stick of corsair vengeance red gb RAM -A Nvidia GTX with BSOD while playing guild wars 2. Its been going on for 6 months GB DDR -Intel i - CPU quad-core GHz no overclock -Asus motherboard H M-E with the lastest BIOS update from the ASUS oficial website update number -Corsair VS W PSU - GB hard drive sorry cant really dig into more specific information but if you guys need it please let me know I have a attached file from Windows dxdiag if you guys need more information So since iam a guild wars fanboy and I ve been waited for years it s release I went to a computer store and bought all those parts and payed them to built the computer to play my favorite game Anyways when I get home I install the game and I start playing it from the first time and then my computer suddenly shuts down it reboots by itself and says that ASUS anti-surge system was triggered to protect my computer from unstable power supply unit so well I naturally tried it a few more times during the course of a couple of weeks to see if the error persisted and it did I tried changing the electric socket at first but it didnt did much so I went to the store and I bought a UPS uninterrupted power supply which I was told would protect my computer from anti-surge issues as well as give me some battery when the power shuts down No kidding the error persisted and after lots of weeks searching on the internet I finally decided to disable the anti-surge protection from my motherboard It went good for a month or two with no BSOD s or freezes or anti-surge errors until I got a error from windows saying that my hard drive is on the eminent risk of failing and that I should replace the disk immediately tired of all this crap with my computer I went to the store and told them what was happening and they replaced my hard drive with a new one of the same size and naturally I installed everything all over again and did everything the same I did before I guess this includes the disabling of anti-surge feature on my motherboard and after I launch guildwars for - minutes of playing a wild BSOD appears on front of me Always with a different BCcode Also I ve tried googling all those different BCcodes and correct them which I think I did with sucess otherwise it wouldnt show me other s BCcodes right but a new error code keeps coming up I m desperate guys Also I ve read this http www techspot com community topics before-posting-your-minidumps-please-read-this and I run memtest on my computer and it showed no errors and I also did the pagefile thing with no results Best regards and sorry about the long text and forgive any grammatical errors nbsp

See if there are any minidumps that you didn't post. Go to C:\windows\minidump. Minidump files have a .dmp extension. Select all the .dmp files. Right-click sending them to a compressed(zipped)folder. Upload this folder as a file here

I need some help I'm having a BSOD every now and then when I am playing a game called Guild Wars 2 it comes at random times and I can't really afford to put it in the shop only for them to tell me i need to spend more money on it. I'm not sure what program to use to get my detailed system specs but here are the basics.

OS: Windows 7 Home Premium
Motherboard: ASUS M4A87TD/USB3
Processor: AMD Phenom II X6 1100T 3.30GHz
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460
RAM: CORSAIR DOMINATOR 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800)

A:BSOD Wile Playing Guild Wars 2

You have overclocked RAM for your processor. Try clocking it back to 1333 MHz frequency since that is what is recommended for that processor, and let us know if that provides more stability. If not, proceed with the following steps.

BugCheck 0x124
You have a 0x124 hardware bugcheck. If the system is still under warranty, I would recommend sending it in to have diagnostic tests done and any bad hardware replaced.

Quote:

Before you proceed with the following, answer these two questions: Are you still under warranty? Does your warranty allow you to open up the machine to check hardware? If you are unsure of the answers to these questions, contact your system manufacturer. WARNING: The steps that follow can void your warranty!!!

For your hardware stop 0x124 crash, use the following hardware checks. If you are overclocking any hardware, please stop.

Run FurMark to test the display card for artifacts and temperature issues.

Run Display card memory tests to check the display card for memory problems.

Run Disk Check with both boxes checked for all HDDs and with Automatically fix file system errors checked for all SSDs. Post back your logs for the checks after finding them using Event Viewer. In Event Viewer, expand Windows Logs, click Application to let it load, right click Application and click Find.... Search for chkdsk or wininit to find the logs.
For any drives that do not give the message: Windows has checked the file system and found no problemsrun disk check again as above. In other words, if it says: Windows has made corrections to the file systemafter running the disk check, run the disk check again.

Run all Basic tests with SeaTools: S.M.A.R.T. Check, Short Drive Self Test, Drive Information, Short Generic, and Long Generic. Run the tests for all HDDs.SeaTools for Windows

SeaTools for DOS
If you have an SSD, make sure the following are up to date:SSD firmware
BIOS Version
Chipset Drivers
Hard disk controller drivers/SATA drivers
If you have a Marvell IDE ATA/ATAPI device, make sure the drivers are up to date from the Intel site or Marvell site and not from your motherboard/vendor support site.

Run Memtest86+ for at least 7-10 passes. It may take up to 22 passes to find problems. Make sure to run it once after the system has been on for a few hours and is warm, and then also run it again when the system has been off for a few hours and is cold.

Run Prime95 to test your CPU, RAM modules, and general hardware.

Hey guys, i'm James and im new here.

Recently my computer has been crashing ALOT, it happens whenever i play games such as Dota 2 or Guild Wars 2. Either the game crashes or the whole computer crashes and i can't figure out why.

I thought it was a harddisk problem so i put GW2 in my other drive but it still continued. Any help would be greatly appreciated !

I have also attached the .dmp files. I tried understanding them but can't figure it out. All i could find was "Probably caused by : ntoskrnl.exe ( nt+541f8 )".

Hello so I have only experienced a bsod on this build once that was with assassins creee. Was wondering if anyone could help me trouble shoot. Over the course of 20hrs it has occurred 5x all during the game. I know the game is still in beta but thought it would be a good idea to ask incase

My specs are:
I7-2600K @ stock
570gtx @ stock
gskill ripjaws 8gb ram @1600mhz
Windows 7 64-bit home full retail

Temps are around 40-50F with the cpu and 60-70F with the gfx card so i doubt its a heating issue

A:BSOD while playing Guild Wars 2 beta

Quote:
"It's not a true crash, in the sense that the bluescreen was initiated only because the combination of video driver and video hardware was being unresponsive, and not because of any synchronous processing exception".

Since Vista, the "Timeout Detection and Recovery" (TDR) components of the OS video subsystem have been capable of doing some truly impressive things to try to recover from issues which would have caused earlier OSs like XP to crash.

As a last resort, the TDR subsystem sends the video driver a "please restart yourself now!" command and waits a few seconds.

If there's no response, the OS concludes that the video driver/hardware combo has truly collapsed in a heap, and it fires off that stop 0x116 BSOD.

If playing with video driver versions hasn't helped, make sure the box is not overheating.

Try removing a side panel and aiming a big mains fan straight at the motherboard and GPU.

Run it like that for a few hours or days - long enough to ascertain whether cooler temperatures make a difference.

If so, it might be as simple as dust buildup and subsequently inadequate cooling.

I would download cpu-z and gpu-z (both free) and keep an eye on the video temps

It looks like the NVIDIA Graphics filter drivers are causing a problem. You may want to reinstall the drivers for your graphic card afresh first by uninstalling them from control panel then delete remnants of the drivers using Driver Sweeper again

Hi last week I installed a new video (which may be the problem but I don't think so), and since then I have had 2 bsod. Not sure if I should be worried about this yet, but I am gonna try my luck on this forum.

The most recent bod was a PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA 0x00000050

The one a couple of days earlier was a SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION 0x0000003b

i have attached the latest DM Log file

My machine is an AMD FX-6200 & Gigabyte GA-970-D3
The graphics card is a Gigabyte GTX 660

Hope I have included the correct information.

Thanks

A:BSOD Playing Guild Wars 2 - PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA 0x00000050

   Warning

Before changing drivers, make it sure that you have earlier System restore points made in your computer. You can check it easily by using CCleaner looking at Tools > System Restore.

If there is no points, make a System Restore Point Manually.

Can you roll back the driver using Device Manager.
Go to Start
Type Device Manager
Then expand your Display Adapaters
Click on your graphics card
then under the drivers tab click Roll Back Driver

I suggest running a stress test on your GPU.
Stress test your graphics card with Furmark

I recommend running it for around 30 minutes

   Warning

Furmark will increase the temperature of your GPU rapidly so keep and eye on your temperatures

I'm getting seemingly random BSOD while playing Guild Wars 2. During a 2h play session I'm bound to get atleast one BSOD.

I'm using a new computer with a fresh version of Windows 7 Ultimate x64 and Sapphire Radeon HD 7850 2GB GDDR5 PCI-Express 3.0. No overclocking.

I have tried memtest86, mdsched, chkdsk /r, sfc /scannow without any errors. I have downloaded the latest graphics drivers and no change. I have played around with the power settings in BIOS without success.

I think there may be a driver issue. There are a lot of old drivers in my DriverList.txt but I cannot figure out which one might be the problem.

Any help or pointers are appreciated!
Thanks

You are having two problems, as our latest dumps say.

► The ATI display driver is causing a huge problem there.

The other day I had a STOP F4 error and was unable to restart the computer until I turned it all the way off (rather than emergency restart). I tried verifying bootBCD and such as well as running CHKDSK and sf /scannow with no returned errors or problems. I can't seem to figure out what's causing it and am trying not to jump to the conclusion that the SSD I bought 8 months ago is already going bad. I have continued having issues with the same error within an hour of playing either GW2 or LoL since the first incident. Appreciate the help!

Hiya
My computer has started blue screening randomly.
It happens occasionally while playing league of legends and will always crash within about the first few min of playing guild wars 2.
I think it might be a faulty motherboard. Almost a year ago my computer was blue screening and i sent the motherboard in, got it back and the blue screening stopped....started again a few months ago.
I have swapped out RAM, tried different RAM slots
When i swapped out my video card for a much lower grade GeForce9500gt, i did not crash in guild wars.

I am not sure if its the motherboard or the graphics card. The zip file from SF should be attached.

And, it is even interesting .... the date here ......
But, it results in a windows 7's crash dump.

Something is going wrong here.

Install Service pack 1.

Code:
Version 6.1.7600 Build 7600
Learn how to install Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (SP1)
Service Pack Center - Microsoft Windows

Scan the system for possible virus infection.
Anti-rootkit utility TDSSKiller
Windows Defender Offline
Run SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker
If the crashes continue to occur, enable Driver Verifier to monitor the drivers.
Driver Verifier - Enable and Disable
Run Driver Verifier for 24 hours or the occurrence of the next crash, whichever is earlier.

   Information
Why Driver Verifier:
It puts a stress on the drivers, ans so it makes the unstable drivers crash. Hopefully the driver that crashes is recorded in the memory dump.

How Can we know that DV is enabled:
It will make the system bit of slow, laggy.

   Warning
Before enabling DV, make it sure that you have earlier System restore points made in your computer. You can check it easily by using CCleaner looking at Tools > System Restore.

If there is no points, make a System Restore Point manually before enabling DV.

   Tip

If you fail to get on the Desktop because of DV, Boot into Advanced Boot Options > Safe mode. Disable DV there. Now boot normally again, and try following the instruction of enabling DV again.
If you cannot boot in Safe mode too, do a System Restore to a point you made earlier.

Let us know the results, with the subsequent crash dumps, if any.

Greetings,
recenlty i upgraded my pc,i changed everything but the graphic cart.So far so good.I did format and installed win 7 x32 bit first. All worked fine till i started playing games. Then while in games i would get bsod, tried 2-3 games all with the same result. So i started stress testing my hardware.furmark,occt,prime95,hds, all was good.I did format again and installed win 7 x64 now,the problem stayed.Third format i installed win 8,1 not on the ssd on the hdd just to test the problem remains. But now a window pops up that says "display driver stopped responding and has recovered" mostly,it even appeared while i was just browsing.Today after 3 days using win 8,1 i got my first bsod.

P.S i have tried numerous drivers, and various other fixes i saw on the internet no luck.

So here is my SF Diagnostic Tool file

This bugcheck is particularly caused by the ATI Drivers.

Please run the Display Driver Uninstaller using this **LINK** and then completely uninstall your ATI Drivers. Once it is done, please reboot the system.
After the restart, install the Drivers which came when you purchased the GPU which comes generally in a Driver CD. See if this resolves the problem or not.

Also, your BIOS is dated 2010, I would suggest you to check the manufacturer for any updates. Please do not update the BIOS as of now, let me know if there is any update or not.

Also, have you tried running the system after removing the Graphics Card physically from the system?

Let me know how it goes ^_^

hi guys,

nearly every day i get a BS always caused by the same problem.
A month ago my old Mainboard (Gigabyte Gaming 5) broke and my pc didn't start anymore.
So i bought the MSI X99S Gaming 7 and built it in, everything was fine for the first time.
But after a while i got those BlueScreens, so i made a complete clean install of Windows and Drivers (MoBo, nVidia...).
Again everything was fine, but after 1 Week i got those BlueScreens again, and now i just dont know why i get these.
I hope someone can help me and sry for my english^^' (someone speaking German would be nice too! )

Hi! I've been getting BSODs while playing XCom - Enemy Within and Heroes of the Storm, and today I got one at desktop after a hard restart I got while playing one of those games. My PC is about half a year old and I've checked to see if the hardware and cables were properly connected. I don't think it's overheating either as I get it after 10 minutes in those games almost everytime, and it doesn't crash in f.ex. Dark Souls 2. I've verified game files for XCom in steam several times, but it doesn't find anything wrong, and it doesn't fix it. I very recently updated both audio and video drivers, but the errors keep coming the exact same way as before I updated.

DM Log Collector ZIP attached.

Please help.

A:BSOD playing some games and even once on the desktop. Error 0x00000124

As you already know, you're receiving 0x124 STOPs, theses denote a hardware error. As is usually the case though the dumps are giving away nothing in regards which piece of hardware is problematic. The usual line of investigation here is to run a series of stress and diagnostic tests.

STOP 0x124 Troubleshooting

   Warning
Read carefully before proceeding.

   Warning
If you're overclocking your system, revert back to stock clocks now.

   Note
Test the system once the overclock is removed before continuing with the steps outlined below.

ONE

 CPU TEST

Run Prime95 to stress test your CPU. Hardware - Stress Test With Prime95

   Warning
Your CPU temperatures will rise quickly while under this stress test. Keep a keen eye on them and abort the test if your CPU overheats.

TWO

 RAM TEST

Run MemTest86+ to analyse your RAM. RAM - Test with Memtest86+

MemTest86+ needs to be run for at least 8 passes for conclusive results. Set it running before you go to bed and leave it overnight. We're looking for zero errors here. Even a single error will indicate RAM failure.[/note]

THREE

 HDD TEST

Run SeaTools to check the integrity of your HDD. SeaTools for DOS and Windows - How to Use

Run chkdsk Disk Check

FOUR

 GPU TEST

Run Furmark to stress test your GPU. Video Card - Stress Test with Furmark

Hello ettApa and welcome to Sevenforums.

BSOD Analyse

There's a few things to look at when we're dealing with the 0x124.
Any sort of overclocking should be stopped. Overclocking is obviously producing a lot of heat. Also make sure that you're not having a motherboard feature that overclocks your computer automatically.
Make sure that your computer is running cool. Install Speccy for instance, and make sure that the temperature idle is stable. Also track down weird or noisy sounds.
In your case, BIOS is updated. That should remain.
Windows 7 may have bugs in the OS if you ain't updating. Make sure that Windows Update is running on automatic updates, and not manual, or the 'never' feature.
If you haven't stress tested your CPU, I suggest doing so with Prime for instance.

Quote:
Prime is a stress testing tool for CPU's.
Details below.

Hardware - Stress Test With Prime95

Install the so called, Vanilla Windows. Windows without any additional software and drivers. It's usually a good idea to do, for excluding parts of the PC.
Consider replacing your computer if nothing works, and it's still under warranty of course.

Code:
WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR (124)
A fatal hardware error has occurred. Parameter 1 identifies the type of error
source that reported the error. Parameter 2 holds the address of the

Arg4: 0000000000040402, Low order 32-bits of the MCi_STATUS value.
When we're done with this we'll go further when you're ready.

A:BSOD when playing demanding games, error 0x00000124

Hi. . .

All 6 dumps had bugcheck 0x124 - Machine Check Exception - definitely unknown hardware failure.

0x124 BSODs are notoriously difficult to solve because the cause is simply "unknown hardware failure". The dumps nor system info submitted cannot even hint at the piece of hardware that has failed.

Unfortunately, the dumps are incapable of telling us which piece of hardware has failed. Dumps are only good for figuring out software problems.

All I can really do here is to give you some hardware diagnostic programs to run.RAM - memtest86+ - run 1 stick at a time; alternate the slots - https://www.sysnative.com/forums/har...memtest86.html
HDD - SeaTools for DOS, LONG test - https://www.sysnative.com/forums/har...agnostics.html
FurMark video card test - https://www.sysnative.com/forums/har...ress-test.html
Prime95 CPU - https://www.sysnative.com/forums/har...s-testing.html

The problem may also be with other hardware parts such as the motherboard or PSU for which there are no software tests.

I'm sorry that I could not really help here.

Take the system back and demand a new one. They can't deny the existence of the 0x124 BSODs. It is up to them to remedy this problem.

Regards. . .

I have added my dump files thanks

A:BSOD playing games like MW3 or BF3, error (0x0000001e, 0x00000124)

Hello,

Most of the crashdumps are WHEA errors reporting that there was failure of bank 5 in the L1 cache on your CPU. The banks are pretty consistent, which would have mean evidence leans heavily on it very well being your CPU suffering permanent damage. The other couple of crashdumps that aren't WHEA errors are inconclusive, as minidumps do not retain the information necessary to do a deeper dive.

First of all, before anything else, if you have your system overclocked in any way, shape or fashion, reset all of it to factory defaults. Even if your system has previously been stable with OCed settings, it can aggressively cause wear on your CPU and other hardware that will reduce their life, and your CPU may have just started suffering from it as a result.

Just to be extra sure, first I noticed that you have some motherboard utility software installed (like Asus PCprobe). Often times I've found WHEA errors that report bad CPU issues have actually been caused by bugs in motherboard utility software. Usually this software is gimmicky, or is better left done with alternative 3rd-party software options that are more reliable. If you still feel determined to keep your motherboard software installed, at least go to the appropriate website (Asus) and download any updates for all of your motherboard's related software, its drivers, and its BIOS (just to be on the safe side). If problems persist, you may need to remove the motherboard utilities just in case (keep all the drivers).

In addition to this, on rare occasion I've found video driver bugs to cause this (which is unusual from a technical standpoint, but happens). I did notice your ATI drivers are from Dec 2011, so you may wanna try and update those.

Lastly, you may check your CPU with Prime95. Set it to Torture Test with Large FFTs and let it run for about 9+ hours. If your system BSODs during it, send the resulting crashdump. Otherwise, if you see any errors you can start betting that it's the CPU that's being problematic (though no errors at all does not 100% ensure your CPU is ok). If you wish to see if voltage (PSU) or temp is being an issue, you can use HWinfo with Sensors only option checked to see. Log two 30-minute sessions: one during idle and one during high load. Send the resulting logs. If your system crashes during one of them, don't worry, it'll log up to the latest point before the crash. Send the resulting logs for analysis.

Given the information so far, I'm pretty heavily set on it being CPU failure, but these are all just measures to make sure anything else isn't the cause.

So during April, I started building a computer. After I building my computer I had no problems at all with it, but after a few start ups and shutdowns it just began to shut off randomly when I played games, like Skyrim and Payday 2. I have no idea what to do. Please help.

Are you overclocking? As you are getting BSODs, you should stop overclocking and run all the hardware components like CPU, GPU and RAM to their default settings. Also set the BIOS to default, too.
How To Clear CMOS (Reset BIOS)

Test your RAM modules for possible errors. How to Test and Diagnose RAM Issues with Memtest86+
Run memtest86+ for at least 8 consecutive passes.

If it start showing errors/red lines, stop testing. A single error is enough to determine that something is going bad there.

While playing multiple games such as 7 days to die, counter strike, league of legends, Dota 2, Starcraft 2, and many others my computer will often randomly get a BSOD, sometimes during an intense part of the game or when I am simply walking somewhere. I've gotten error code 0x00000101 and I got 0x00000124 after using Verifier.

This has been happening for about a year, my brother told me that it was probably my power supply but after I looked into the error codes more I saw that these error codes are mostly for driver errors. This is where I was stumped. I know a little about computers but I had no idea how to find a corrupt driver or even how to find out if that was the problem. Any help would be great. Thanks.

A:BSOD while playing multiple games error code 0x00000101 and 0x00000124

Hello and welcome Connor I take it is Connor I cannot see much in the dump files mate but you do mention your brother has queried the PSU now you can check that with this
Using HW Info
You can test the volts on the PSU with HW Info HWiNFO, HWiNFO32/64 - Download < download the right bit version and close the right hand window select Sensors and scroll down to the power section where you will see what the volts are doing see my pic.
The original right hand window shows the machine running and is handy for that but for looking at the components in some detail close it and use the main left hand side panel
FOR OTHER COMPONENTS
Open each + down into the component itself and then click on it - in the right hand side will appear all sorts of details including brands speeds and other essential info that device. See pic for example it is of my own Ivy Bridge desktop and you need to scroll to that section which gives the volts send a pic if you can please - this is just for starters.

Hello,

That is my simple question. I am planning on buying Guild Wars, but I have seen that there is the original Guild Wars, Guild Wars:Factions, and Guild Wars:Nightfall. Are those two games expansion packs? What order should I buy/play them in? What is the newest one? Thanks.

I just added a new SSD drive and installed a fresh copy of Win 7 Enterprise. I have had a previous driver issue with this system in the past. The amazing people on this site helped me work it out. Now for the life I just can't seem to sort it out again myself this time.

I ran and uploaded the SF_Diagnostic info in zip file format.

Thank you for any help that can be given.

Hey i just had a bluescreen while playing guildwars 2. Except it wasn't really a bluescreen. The screen flashed then stayed pink. I could hear sound for a few more seconds but that was about it. Never had this happen to this computer before.

My temps while playing this game have been around 44c on CPU and up to an 80c on the GPU. Never had any artifacts while playing so i don't believe it was a heat issue.
I also did a driver sweeper removing the previous drivers and sweeping all nvidia boxes listed before installing the newest Nvidia drivers the other day. Not sure what is going on. Drivers are the latest WHQL 306.23

I have attached the zip as was instructed.

A:Just had a bluescreen while playing Guild Wars 2

Just had another crash in the same area. Ran WhoCrashed and it is pointing to drivers again.

On Sun 9/16/2012 7:50:00 PM GMT your computer crashed
crash dump file: C:\Windows\Minidump\091612-3603-01.dmp
This was probably caused by the following module: nvlddmkm.sys (nvlddmkm+0xAD6004)
Bugcheck code: 0x116 (0xFFFFFA800C2152E0, 0xFFFFF8800FEFC004, 0xFFFFFFFFC000009A, 0x4)
Error: VIDEO_TDR_ERROR
file path: C:\Windows\system32\drivers\nvlddmkm.sys
product: NVIDIA Windows Kernel Mode Driver, Version 301.42
company: NVIDIA Corporation
description: NVIDIA Windows Kernel Mode Driver, Version 301.42
Bug check description: This indicates that an attempt to reset the display driver and recover from a timeout failed.
A third party driver was identified as the probable root cause of this system error. It is suggested you look for an update for the following driver: nvlddmkm.sys (NVIDIA Windows Kernel Mode Driver, Version 301.42 , NVIDIA Corporation).
Google query: nvlddmkm.sys NVIDIA Corporation VIDEO_TDR_ERROR

The first crash was with the newest drivers. This is with my older rolledback drivers. Could it just be my videocard that is failing? Again the temps were only in the 70's on the GPU before the crash.

UPDATE: I remembered that when i bought this pc there was an overclock already installed. It was set to 3.7. I went in the bios and set everything to auto and disabled the "Turbo" feature. The CPU is now at factory i believe (3.3). I also underclocked my GPU but to be honest i really had no idea what i was doing with that. I read to lower the sliders about 20% as that was working for people who were experiencing similar problems to mine. I was able to get through the area i was bluescreening at without any problems.

I would still like any assistance if something else can be learned from reading the attachment from my first post as i still don't feel comfortable just yet.

I doubt it's the game as there are millions playing it and I'm sure at least thousands with a rig similar to yours. When the game crashes you have the option to have it verify all the files on next launch. Are you choosing to do that?

Hi monster528,

Please check Windows Update for available updates, install every update available (exception for Windows 10 updates if you don't want them), it may take a couple of times to get them.

There is a data write error to the CPU in the level 0 cache at core 2 cache bank 1.

Recently I've been having some troubles playing Guild Wars, it start with occasional 1-2 second blackouts, then another time the game crash and gave me a display driver error message, today it went too far ^_^
I got the usual 1 second blackout and then when the screen came up again all the pixels were flashing and messing up the screen, screenshot below..

What's causing this? How can I stop this?

Additional info:
Using an NVidia GeForce 8600 GT graphics card, 2 months old or so.
Running Windows Vista
I can play Crysis on medium spec without any problems.
Also an unusual sound comes from the graphics card, only while guild wars is running, no smell of burning, graphics card is only warm.

I used to be able to run these games. However, one day, when I launched Runes of Magic, there was a black screen. The cursor would change and I can hear the background music. When I launch the two other games, the same thing happens. I downloaded Maplestory to try and see whether it would work and it worked. I have already attached a file containing information on the drivers of my computer.

Hello-

I would love to get some assistance with my recent BSOD issues (I have recently starting seeing them while playing WoW). It can happen anywhere between 5 minutes to hours into playing. My computer is a custom build, no overclocking, and has been stable since I built it (2 months). I have made no recent hardware or software changes.

MB: AsRock Z77 Extreme 4 LGA1155
CPU: Intel i5 2500k
RAM: GSkills Ripjaw DDR3 1600
GPU: Nvidia GTX 650 Ti

I've attached my SF zip file. Please let me know what addition information I can provide.

Thank you!

A:BSOD 0x00000124 playing games

Update: I am still getting BSOD 0x124 after trying the following:

1. Ran Memtest86 for 12 hours, no errors.
2. Ran a torture test, all internal temps never rose above 55C.
3. Updated GPU, USB, SATA and audio drivers.

I've also attached the last two minidump files.

Any help would be very much appreciated! Thanks!

Edit:
Ran msched, which found no issues.

I also tried updating my BIOS (from 2.80 to 2.90), and the system become more unstable - I could no longer load windows normally (could only load in safe mode). I have reverted back to 2.80 and can now boot normally again.

Not sure what to try next.

Hi,

BSOD's seem to be becoming quite a regular occurance, first ones where usually when playing MMO's with TS/Mumble active but recently they have been happening whilst watching streams and at other random times.

Windows 7 Home Premium x64
Service Pack 1
Intel Core i5-2500K CPU @ 3.30GHz
4.00 GB
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460

Not really that clued up on computers but I will try my best to answer an questions you need to know.

Thanks in advance

Your .dmp file shows a stop error of 0x124 which is a general hardware error .

Quote:
A "stop 0x124" is fundamentally different to many other types of bluescreens because it stems from a hardware complaint.

Stop 0x124 minidumps contain very little practical information, and it is therefore necessary to approach the problem as a case of hardware in an unknown state of distress

Some generic advice.

If you are overclocking STOP. return to the default settings at least for now.
If you are running a RAID update its driver.

Hi there!

I'm getting tired of these BSoD's i've been getting lately, so I thought I would try to get some help from you guys.

BSODs occur while playing some games, not all!

Thanks in advance!

This is almost certainly a hardware problem, which can only be isolated through stress testing. Start with the major components:

RAM : run a minimum of 8 passes, no less
RAM - Test with Memtest86+

CPU :
CPU - Stress Test Using IntelBurnTest

Hello!

I had problems before when i got bccodes 124 when playing BF4 and Rome 2 more when playing BF4.

So i bought a Corsair H60 Hydro cooler and i could then play BF4 for about 2-3 days without any bluescreens then last night it started again and since then i had 2 last night 1 this morning.

A:BSOD playing BF4 and heavy games 0x00000124

Hi,

I am not an expert on BSODs. But, 0x124 is the CPU telling Windows there was an uncorrectable hardware error presented to it by the motherboard or something attached. You can check for CPU temps with CPU Z. If you have any hardware that is overclocked, put it back to stock and check.

I get random crashes usually while playing more graphics intensive games but sometime out of the blue. I've had multiple crashing problems ever since I've had this compute but It hasn't inconvienced me much. I upgraded to windows 10 and it seems to pretty much only crash while doing graphic intensive things such as playing GTA V. However, I usually don't get a BSOD. I'll get a solid color (typically red) or just a reboot screen.

It sends the error code:
0x00000124

I've attached the crash files.
some specs that aren't listed on my profile:
Storage: Samsung 120GB SSD and a Seagate 500GB hard drive
Wifi: TP-Link something ask if you want details
PSU: 500 watt cooler master
Cpu cooler: Corsair water cooling (so overheating probably isn't a problem )

As you said BugCheck 124, since all i received the minidump this is the only thing i could do.

BugCheck 0x124

You have a 0x124 hardware bugcheck. If the system is still under warranty, I would recommend sending it in to have diagnostic tests done and any bad hardware replaced.

   Warning
Before you proceed with the following, answer these two questions: Are you still under warranty? Does your warranty allow you to open up the machine to check hardware? If you are unsure of the answers to these questions, contact your system manufacturer. WARNING: The steps that follow can void your warranty!!!
For your hardware stop 0x124 crash, read through Stop 0x124 - what it means and what to try - Windows 7 Help Forums and use the following hardware checks to supplement that link.

If you are overclocking any hardware, please stop.
If you have an SSD, make sure the following are up to date:SSD firmwareBIOS VersionChipset DriversHard disk controller drivers/SATA driversIf you have a Marvell IDE ATA/ATAPI device, make sure the drivers are up to date from the Intel site or Marvell site and not from your motherboard/vendor support site.
Run all but the advanced tests with SeaTools for HDDs. SeaTools for Windows

SeaTools for DOSMonitor temperatures during the following tests.
Use the following programs to monitor the temperatures.Real Temp is a good CPU temperature monitor.Speccy - System Information - Free Download will monitor all hardware temperatures.HWiNFO, HWiNFO32 & HWiNFO64 - Hardware Information and Analysis Tools can be inaccurate for CPU temperatures, but is a good program for GPU temperature monitoring.
Use FurMark: VGA Stress Test, Graphics Card and GPU Stability Test, Burn-in Test, OpenGL Benchmark and GPU Temperature | oZone3D.Net to test the graphics card GPU. Let it run until the GPU temperatures even out or until the GPU temperatures reach a dangerous level (you can find the max temperature for your card on either the nVidia or AMD sites; if you are not sure, ask us). The goal is to get a steady temperature, find out if the GPU is overheating, or to see if there are any artifacts present in the test itself: look for strange pixelated patterns on the screen or colors that do not look like they belong. Then use the |MG| Video Memory Stress Test 1.7.116 Download to test your graphics card memory. Let the memory test run for at least seven passes; the more the better.
Run Hardware - Stress Test With Prime95 - Windows 7 Help Forums to determine any hardware problems. Run all three tests for a few hours each. If you get errors, stop the test and post back here.
Follow the steps for doing CPU stress test using IntelBurnTestRun the boot version of Memtest86+ paying close attention to Parts 2 and 3 of the tutorial. Also, in case Memtest86+ misses anything and comes up with no errors, run the extended version of the Windows Memory Diagnostics Tool for at least five passes. These you may want to run overnight since they take a long time to complete (run them an hour before bed each of the next two nights and check before going to sleep that they are still running).

For Part 3: If You Have Errors: If you swap any memory components, follow these steps for ESD safety:
Shut down and turn off your computer.Unplug all power supplies to the computer (AC Power then battery for laptops, AC power for desktops)Hold down the power button for 30 seconds to close the circuit and ensure all power drains from components.Make sure you are grounded by using proper grounding techniques, i.e. work on an anti-static workbench, anti-static desk, or an anti-static pad. Hold something metallic while touching it to the anti-static surface, or use an anti-static wristband to attach to the anti-static material while working. If you do not have an anti-static workbench, desk, or pad, you can use your computer... Read more

Ussualy, to fix this problem I rename the file, but what I get is the guild wars installer. This also happened on cmd, but I just changed the name and it worked.
Any suggestions?

Start Menu\Programs\MSI Afterburner
MSI Afterburner/RivaTuner/Kombustor is known to cause instability with systems. Please remove the software. Software overclocking does not provide reliable overclocking. Overclocking should be accomplished through the BIOS or through the graphics card manufacturer's software.

I personally do not recommend 3rd party defrag tools. I have seen them damage restore points and even cause blue screen crashes. Windows has some nice command line flags for the defrag command that will accomplish the same tasks as 3rd party programs. The -b and -w flags will defrag boot files and the boot registry items as well as compact the data to the center of the disk for faster access.defrag c: -b
defrag -c -v -w
The first command optimizes boot performance for the Windows drive by defragmenting boot files and boot registry items.

The second command includes all drives on the system through the -c command and optimizes the drives by compacting the data to the center of the disk. Verbose output through the -v option is optional to provide the user with more information about the defrag tasks. The commands have to be run in an elevated command prompt. To run in an elevated command prompt, follow the instructions at Command Prompt: Frequently Asked Questions and expand the section under

The title is pretty self-explanatory; I keep getting BSOD on steam games, particularly DotA and Civ V. I've been supremely bored without my vidjya, so any help would be much appreciated! I've attached the requisite BSOD paperwork, and am pasting some more stuff, and my system specs should be in my profile.

A:BSOD playing Steam games, Bug 0x00000124, Driver: hal.dll+12a3b

Hello, and welcome to SevenForums!

First of all, have you overclocked your graphics card at all?

The 0x00000124 error code appears during a hardware complaint, such as overheating. If you have overclocked your GPU, RESET IT IMMEDIATELY. This could be causing numerous critical errors in your GPU, causing the whole system to crash. Also, overclocking can severely damage your GPU. I would only recommend it if you know what you are doing and are not just following a tutorial.

But, this could be other things too. I see that your GPU driver is WAY out-of-date. Download the latest drivers via the AMD website.

Best of luck,

PeregrineX

Hey guys, I've recently been encountering BSOD while playing graphically intensive games such as World of Tanks in 4k resolution. I thought it might be a temperature issue, so I manually turned up my GPU fan speed to 90% while playing, and my core temp. remained ~50?C. That didnt seem to fix the issue.

My last crash gave me the ol' Stop: 0x00000124

Here is my zip file containing the results of a DM Log Collector.

Edit: My system specs are:
CPU: i7-4790K @ 4.00GHz
MB: ASUS MAXIMUS VII HERO LGA 1150 Intel Z97
GPU: EVGA NVIDIA GForce GTX 780Ti
RAM: 16Gb G.Skill Trident X @ 2400Mhz
OS: Win7
PSU: EVGA 1000P2

A:BSOD playing games in 4k resolution such as World of Tanks 0x00000124

It seems to be overclocked.

Code:
CPUID: "Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4790K CPU @ 4.00GHz"
MaxSpeed: 4000
CurrentSpeed: 4080
And overclocking is one of the most frequent reasons of a stop 0x124 (though not the only reason).

As you are experiencing BSODs, As you are getting BSODs, you should stop overclocking and run all the hardware components like CPU, GPU and RAM to their default settings. Then see if it still causing the same BSOD or not. If the BSOD continues to occur, let us know. We will take further attempts to troubleshoot the issue.

I have had multiple crashes over the last month which I believed to be due to bad video drivers. I downloaded the newest drivers for my Radeon 6950 HD cards and installed the drivers (no CCC or bloatware), but the issue was not fixed. On a hunch, I installed the CCC and when run, it tells me there are no settings to be configured with the software. I uninstalled again, and reinstalled just the December 2013 audio and video drivers. Now, the most prevalent BSOD I see is titled MEMORY_MANAGEMENT. I have included all files collected by the SevenForums Diagnostic tool. I have also updated my system specs on the forum.
I believe this is the 5th or 6th thread in 2 years since buying my PC from CyberPowerPC and I may have gotten a lemon. It has been mailed back to them twice for bad hardware (once for CPU and once for Video Card replacement).

A:BSOD during Guild Wars 2 gameplay or update

Hi Griff01.

Free up the startup. Windows does not need any other program to auto start with it, but the auto start programs often conflicts and causes various problems including BSODs.
Click on the Start button
Type ?msconfig (without quotes), click the resulting link. It will open the System Configuration window.
Select the ?Startup? tab.
Deselect all items other than the antivirus.
Apply > OK
Accept then restart.
If it still BSODs in the same way, test your RAM modules for possible errors.
How to Test and Diagnose RAM Issues with Memtest86+
Run memtest for at least 8 passes, preferably overnight.

If it start showing errors/red lines, stop testing. A single error is enough to determine that something is going bad there.

If it does not show any error, enable Driver Verifier to monitor the drivers.

So its been going on for a few months and honestly I am at my wits end with these blue screens. A bunch of my games seem to be randomly blue screening so I figured it was overheating. Now I opened my computer up and stuck a fan next to it and that seemed to fix it for some games. However, with Guild Wars 2 and Diablo 3 it still blue screen pretty much every 5 to 10 minutes. So I tried to log out and log back in and that worked a couple of times got a good half hour in and then it blue screened. So im not really sure what to do anymore. So if anyone could help it would be much appreciated

Post any minidumps by going to C:\windows\minidump. Select all the .dmp files and right-click sending these files to a compressed(zipped)folder. Upload the folder as a file here

Most BSOD crashes occur while streaming video on twitch.tv or while playing Guild Wars 2. I am also, crashing while AFK with streaming video paused (i.e. youtube or twitch.tv) and non-BSOD freezes while browsing webpages using minimal video in Firefox or Opera. These crashes are fairly frequent, several times per week. Thanks in advance to anyone reading these forums.

A:BSOD streaming video / Guild Wars 2

Hi lebubbles

You have various types of BSOD error... mostly code or driver or memory corruption but all arising from one single process -- Avast Antivirus !!!

I would suggest you remove Avast ( as its known to cause BSOD to lots of ppl here ) and install MSE (Microsoft Security essential.) as it is light on the system and does work with the Windows firewall.

Let me know if it still BSOD, once you have done this.

Since I built this computer back in April I have had BSOD mostly when playing games, but also when just doing regular browsing at times. Sometimes it happens after 5 minutes, and other times after 2 hours, and sometimes not at all. The zip file is below.
