Q: Event log swarm! Including event ID's 1000, 80, 11, 1001+2, etc...

Hi My computer runs for all Event 1000, log 1001+2, Including ID's 11, event 80, etc... swarm! practical purposes I guess Event log swarm! Including event ID's 1000, 80, 11, 1001+2, etc... but I can certainly feel that there is good reason for all event log errors while working on my windows For example the blue screen Event log swarm! Including event ID's 1000, 80, 11, 1001+2, etc... of death appears once every - months or earlier today the computer just started getting really slow given my GB memory this raaarely happens or quot windows explorer quot would randomly crash however when this does happen it usually happens just once during a session then it restarts and it's fine so it's Event log swarm! Including event ID's 1000, 80, 11, 1001+2, etc... not preventing me from using my computer it's just something's wrong and it shouldn't be and I want to fix it I have rows and columns of event log errors such as event ID event ID and much more but since addressing all of them at once will probably invade the entire forum I prefer to address them perhaps in little bundles so I don't annoy the experts and exploit the resources Also I have a feeling that once I start fixing some of them many others will disappear automatically I'm sorry if my post is a bit vague but this is my first time here so please be patient with me and just tell me whatever information you need from me to narrow things down and I will do that I have provided a link to a few of my event logs to OneDrive which I appropriately labeled to make it easier to distinguish which one is which http drv ms mlhJJ Thank you so much in advance

Preferred Solution: Event log swarm! Including event ID's 1000, 80, 11, 1001+2, etc...

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/directdownload.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Memory exception but we need to examine the DMP files to find out why.

We do need the DMP file as it contains the only record of the sequence of events leading up to the crash, what drivers were loaded, and what was responsible.

If you are overclocking STOP
We could also use some system information, which you can get easily by running msinfo32.
To do that go to start>run>type msinfo32>enter

When it is finished running go to file>save>name it and upload to us here.
You may be able to get the DMP files without crashing by booting into safe mode (F8) with networking.

To enable us to assist you with your computer's BSOD symptoms, upload the contents of your "\Windows\Minidump" folder.

The procedure:

Quote:
* Copy the contents of \Windows\Minidump to another (temporary) location somewhere on your machine.
* Zip up the copy.
* Attach the ZIP archive to your post using the "paperclip" (file attachments) button.
*If the files are too large please upload them to a file sharing service like "Rapidshare" and put a link to them in your reply.

To ensure minidumps are enabled:

Quote:
* Go to Start, in the Search Box type: sysdm.cpl, press Enter.
* Under the Advanced tab, click on the Startup and Recovery Settings... button.
* Ensure that Automatically restart is unchecked.
* Under the Write Debugging Information header select Small memory dump (256 kB) in the dropdown box (the 256kb varies).
* Ensure that the Small Dump Directory is listed as %systemroot%\Minidump.
* OK your way out.
* Reboot if changes have been made.

Hi all,

I'm having an issue with an Events 1001 and/or 902 crash when I run GTA V it occurs at random times, and without warning. I've reset Windows 10 Pro, uninstalled and reinstalled the game but I keep getting the crashes. Windows 10 Pro should be up to date, I have my doubts about my mouse as the manufacturer hasn't released updated drivers in some time, and the rest of my peripherals/utilities should be up to date. Thanks in advance

Hi there I've spent a good hrs searching for a fix to my problem - including SevenForums - with no success I just purchased a Clevo P HM with i - XM processor and GTX graphics card It's an awesome system I went into event log and after noticing a few critical and error events I decided to fix the important ones I've done this - except for the Error - Event DHCP Client quot Your computer was not assigned an address from the network by the DHCP Server for the Network Card with network address x EB The following error occurred x Your computer will continue to try and obtain an address on its own from the network address DHCP 1001: Client DHCP Event Event Log server quot This is the most common of the events but others have network address' of x F and x A C all with the same error x Many people have thoughts on what's causing it so here's what I've done - Confirmed all my network drivers etc are all up to date - Followed and completed the full Windows help Event Log Event 1001: DHCP Client file on the topic - This includes pinging myself and the DNS address' to confirm responses - Completed a release and renewal of the ipconfig command on the DHCP lease - Disabled ipv in all network adaptors - Disabled ICS in all network Event Log Event 1001: DHCP Client display adaptors after restart checking services - Disabled enabled Bonjour to eliminate - Checked services of DNS auto DHC auto etc etc - Turned off Virgin Broadband on one restart to see if the error occured which it still did so I'm sure it's not that connection - A few other things I can't remember over hrs I thought it might be my Bluetooth network coming up in Network and Sharing Centre as 'Unidentified Network' or that it is a work network where my Virgin Broadband USB is on a home network in Network and Sharing Centre I cannot amend the Bluetooth 'Unidentified Network' name I also noted that my Bluetooth connection is coming up as an 'Internet connection' rather than a PAN but this could be because my iPhone has been discovered added and used as a tethering on the internet on occasion My bluetooth is a separate USB and not on my wifi card When I completed ipconfig all to check on this I noted that all have DHCP enabled except for Virtual Netork and Virgin Broadband I also noted that my Intel N Ultimate wifi card did not have the ipv address listed and did not have preferred next to it When I conducted the ipconfig renew command my N wifi card could not be included in this because it has not been connected to a network - I use my Virgin Broadband USB for internet at least until I trade this in for a prepaid wifi device Maybe completing the ipconfig renew command when I have a network connected to the N wifi card There are STACKS of users out there trying to fix this issue I believe most are not finding their answers and have probably tried everything I've listed as doing without success I'm hoping by displaying my efforts on this that we will get an answer hopefully that others can use to get rid of this error that pops up on every system boot many MANY thanks in advance for your help It is GREATLY appreciated

A:Event Log Event 1001: DHCP Client

I've had a problem with DHCP renew not working properly for months, not sure when it started. I've tried registry settings, new drivers, etc. Nothing has worked. Often I only lose my IP address for a second or less, but of course, this is enough for any open connection to drop.

After DHCP renew fails to the point of my connection being lost, some other DHCP mechanism kicks in which (almost) always works at once.

Right now, however, the problem seems to have gone away.

What I did was uninstall the driver from my network card (Realtek RTL8168D/8111D), again and again, until it was no longer possible to uninstall the remaining driver (Windows default I'm guessing).

Then, after some time, an optional update appeared in Windows Update. It was a network driver that was released by Microsoft on May 14, 2009.

After I installed this driver, DHCP renew has never failed.

I'm sorry if this gives you false hope in solving your issue (which perhaps is different), I just had to provide the one thing that actually worked for me. I know your frustration!

The past 3 days I have been having random freezes for no specific reason. I have run memtest86 an it found no errors. I have run the windows disk checking program as well with no errors. The only thing I recently installed into my computer hardware wise is a new graphics card the gtx 560ti. I have a minidump file if anyone wants to take a look at it. Also this freezing happens in firefox usually and I have to do a hard shutdown.

Download BlueScreenViewNo installation required.Double click on BlueScreenView.exe file to run the program. When scanning is done, go Edit>Select All.Go File>Save Selected Items, and save the report as BSOD.txt.Open BSOD.txt in Notepad, copy all content, and paste it into your next reply.Note: I am not the best at diagnosing memory dumps and BSOD's (occasionally I can), but I do know that using BlueScreenView will make it easier. It will give us an idea of what we're looking at....program incompatibility, drivers issues, malware, etc....or at least point us in the right direction. Also, could you please post your system specs? Brand/model, processor, RAM, etc...Use Speecy if you don't know any of your system's specs (don't worry about it being a beta. It won't crash your computer...it's just not an official public release...they're still working out the bugs and putting the shine on, so to speak. I use it all the time with no problems).

Can you go into c:\windows\minidump, zip the dump file (*.dmp) and upload it to us so we can examine it.

hey, i've recently been getting BSOD, get it every few hours, and cant seem to be able to find out what it is i was wondering if anyone could help me, this problem started happening when i upgraded my pc from 4gb of ram to 6gb of ram.

i've tryed:
1. Resetting the CMOS
2. Flashing the Bios
3. move the RAM's in diffrent slots

here is what i get from the event viewer: (Event ID 1001)

The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x0000001e (0xffffffffc0000005, 0xfffff800028d308d, 0x0000000000000000, 0xffffffffffffffff). A dump was saved in: C:\Windows\MEMORY.DMP. Report Id: 122709-14289-01.
what else can i do ?

A:BSOD then restart Event ID: 1001

Reviewing the event viewer logs is one fast way to learn which device driver is the cause if this is software related. The manufacturer's name even if differing from that of a program or addon device is often the thing to look for and then remove even reinstall the program or driver set.

The external references here can also be considered like disabling the automatic restart when you get a BSOD in order to take notes on the blue screen error information displayed usually very briefly.

Windows Vista, Windows 7 Stop Errors Or Blue Screen Of Death

The "0x0000001e" is common with the NT cored versions of Windows going back to 2000. The memory you added can also be considered a likely problem if a different brand or simply the same while the timings are different or you mixed two different types like standard with performance dimms since this began once you added in the additional dimms.

The first thing now would be removing those two to see if the problem suddenly clears up on it's own. The dimms themselves can be in perfect working order but simply a mismatch for the original memory.

If the problem persists following that you may be looking at a temp problem now being seen or even another hardware now seeing a fault of some type. First you have to narrow the list of possible causes down a bit however.

i have previously added more ram since i thought the DIMM D and DIMM D didn't work i asked the retailer where i bought the motherboard if they did refurbishment on the board and i looked on ebay for someone with a new motherboard i figured if this is the last i'll see of this card i'm gonna atleast try to see if the dimm stick work i added ram stick in DIMM D and booted up and saw that memory had increased then i added the nd and saw that it increased 1001 bugcheck with BSOD event-ID again BSOD with bugcheck event-ID 1001 this is probably not serious since it BSOD with bugcheck event-ID 1001 has been working now for over weeks and no problem at all i was playing some minecraft and was at the movies while the bsod happened so i went into the event logs for system and found event ID bugcheck i recently ca for over weeks ago de-dusted my computer and added new thermal paste for the cpu and by this i think i haven't cleaned the under side of the cpu all too well since i think either it was still filthy cause the DIMM slots D and D didnt work since they work fine now although i still want to do a memtest to be sure everything is ok since after the bsod i started minecraft again usually i have fps but after the bsod i have around ish fps which is kinda slow when i'm haulin mods P i have included the bsod zip file as in the instruction for posting in this bsod forum thx

I've just connected a new PC to my ADSL modem and I get the above error in the event log. Also stating
"Your computer was not assigned an address from the network (by the DHCP Server) for the Network Card with network address 0x00etc..... The following error occurred: 0x79. Your computer will continue to try and obtain an address on its own from the network address (DHCP) server."

I don't appear to have any connection problems apart from the error in the log.

Can anyone suggest a cause and remedy?

A:Event 1001 Dhcp client

I wonder if your ADSL modem/router has issues with IPv6? Try disabling it to see if the error stops. Hopefully you aren't using homegroups...

Hello there!

I've been having problems with blue screens for a good time with my Desktop and it seems to happen more when the computer is idle. For example: I've been using my notebook a lot and had left the Desktop without use for days, now when I try to use it gets rebooted when I first turn the PC on. Then if I do not use it for some minutes it reboots again.

Thanks for the help in advance!

Not enough information in what you gave ffrom the minidumps. So...

How to find and post your Minidump Files:

My Computer > C Drive > Windows Folder > Minidump Folder > Minidump Files.

It is these files that we need (not the folder). Attach to your next post the five most recent dumps. Notice the Manage Attachments button at the bottom when you go to post the next time. You can Zip up to five files per Zip; if you only have one or two you don?t need to zip them, just attach as is. Please do us a favor and don?t Zip each one individually.

How long have you been running your system with this memory?

Judging form the variety of files involved and from types of errors, possibly RAM issue (video card RAM included).
To eliminate one possible culprit quickly, remove video card, switch to on-board video for a day, or so, and see if BSODs are still there.

Now, PCA2 errors are Program Compatibility errors. The problem is, I've marked the executable as "run in Windows XP SP2 mode" and "Run as administrator." This should be enough to fix it; it certainly works for other people. The weird thing is, I've reinstalled Windows recently (had some harddrive problems) and I still get that error! It's driving me up the wall.

Does anyone know a fix for this kind of thing? I have tried running in compatibility mode and disabling DEP/ALSR/etc on the executable. I'm kind of out of ideas.

Thanks!

Welcome
Your reports are hinting at a driver, lets try to ascertain which one or if it is indeed a driver.
Driver Verifier
I'd suggest that you first backup your data and then make sure you've got access to another computer so you can contact us if problems arise. Then make a System Restore point (so you can restore the system using the Vista/Windows 7 Startup Repair feature).

In Windows 7 you can make a Startup Repair disk by going to Start....All Programs...Maintenance...Create a System Repair Disc - with Windows Vista you'll have to use your installation disk or the "Repair your computer" option at the top of the Safe Mode menu .

Then, here's the procedure:
- Go to Start and type in "verifier" (without the quotes) and press Enter
- Select "Create custom settings (for code developers)" and click "Next"
- Select "Select individual settings from a full list" and click "Next"
- Select everything EXCEPT FOR "Low Resource Simulation" and click "Next"
- Select "Select driver names from a list" and click "Next"
Then select all drivers NOT provided by Microsoft and click "Next"
- Select "Finish" on the next page.

Reboot the system and wait for it to crash to the Blue Screen. Continue to use your system normally, and if you know what causes the crash, do that repeatedly. The objective here is to get the system to crash because Driver Verifier is stressing the drivers out. If it doesn't crash for you, then let it run for at least 36 hours of continuous operation (an estimate on my part).

If you can't get into Windows because it crashes too soon, try it in Safe Mode.
If you can't get into Safe Mode, try using System Restore from your installation DVD to set the system back to the previous restore point that you created.

Start troubleshooting your problem by removing Norton Symantec Antivirus and replace it with MSE.
You may go back to Norton after your Windows have stabled.
http://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials/

Then 3 dmp point to NTFS_FILE_SYSTEM (24) so I would recommend you to diagnose your hardrive.
1] Right click Command Prompt → run as admin → chkdsk /f /r
2] Use manufacture hardrive diagnostic tools → Hard Drive Diagnostics Tools and Utilities (Storage) - TACKtech Corp.

Another dmp point to BAD_SYSTEM_CONFIG_INFO (74).
It indicates OS corruption, then you must perform system file checker:
Right click Command Prompt → run as admin → sfc /scannow

Update this driver:
teamviewervpn.sys Thu Dec 13 01:22:09 2007 → TeamViewerVPN Network Adapter

And turn on your Windows Update.

Hi as I mentioned in the title my PC restarts randomly, usually it's infrequent, but today it restarted twice when I clicked Delete an email. This is what is showing in Event VIewer

The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x1000008e (0xc0000005, 0xbd0d20a2, 0xb1720304, 0x00000000). A dump was saved in: C:\WINDOWS\Minidump\Mini092211-01.dmp.

Hopefully someone knows exactly what is the problem from those encrypted bugcheck errors.

A:Random PC restarts bugcheck event ID 1001

Your error code is 0x8E and these are almost always caused by hardware (and a good indicator of bad RAM) but sometimes they can be due to faulty drivers.

In your case the Nvidia driver nv4_disp.dll was specifically cited as the cause of your crash.

I suggest doing the following...

1. Go to our Download section and click on Utilities and then download Driver Sweeper 3.1 to your desktop screen and install.

2. Download the latest diver(s) for your video card but don't install them.

3. Uninstall your video card drivers and reboot your PC into Safe Mode. Run Driver Sweeper and remove ONLY the video card drivers. I had someone use it on their chipset drivers! If it doesn't find any video card drivers that is quite okay; just leave all other drivers alone.

4. Reboot and install new video card drivers.

I posted this on Sevenforums because i totally forgot I was using 10 but here's kind of a repost haha.

I was in the middle of using Cakewalk Sonar Artist and the computer randomly BSOD. It a pretty memory and CPU heavy program but I'm curious what happened.

I've had a few crashes as of lately. One I believe to be a bad GPU but now I saw ID: 18 which says something about my CPU.

Any help would be great.

Edit: It's been crashing a lot lately with different kinds of freezing, lock ups, and BSOD. Everytime it was when I used Sonar Artist. I can play new games without issues but once I start using that application it crashes after about 15-20 minutes.

The uploaded attachment is current to today.

Probably this error is 1001 DHCP Client Event Lease ? Validity ID pretty much a non-issue and I haven't a clue if the affected W P machine even runs Windows Server R or any Event ID 1001 ? DHCP Client Lease Validity windows server for that matter Event ID 1001 ? DHCP Client Lease Validity Is this 'server' thing software that is by default installed and I'm guessing it's only used when the machine networks with another machine home work groups As for if and what version the W P machine even 'runs' the only loosely provided instructions I've found by clicking the event log's link to information about the error results in a webpage Event ID which sort of implies to me that Event ID 1001 ? DHCP Client Lease Validity the W P machine might be running 'Windows Server R ' if only because the event log error report's link led me to that web page's article ie the article says it applies to Windows Server R I tried following the article's mentions of checking to see what version of 'server' that is installed but step seems too poorly written for me to follow what's actually be said Determine if there is a network connectivity problem To determine if there is a network connectivity problem between the DHCP server and domain controller At the DHCP server click Start click Run type cmd and then click OK At the command prompt type ping server FQDN where server FQDN is the fully qualified domain name FQDN of the domain controller for example server contoso com and then press ENTER What's unclear to me is where it alludes to quot where server FQDN is the fully qualified domain name FQDN of the domain controller quot I see the article provides an example but the example seems as obscure as it's parent reference How does a user determine the quot fully qualified domain name FQDN of the domain controller quot If that obscurity isn't bad enough the article then lists a second step quot quot stating quot At the command prompt type ping IP address where IP address is the IP address of the domain controller and then press ENTER quot and again I haven't a clue as to what's being said ie we're not born with a 'domain controller's IP address' tattooed on our forehead so how's that detail determined Further down in the article it lists a step stating quot Type ping IP address where IP address is the IP address assigned to the computer If you can ping the localhost address but not the local address there may be an issue with the routing table or with the network adapter driver quot and step states quot Type ping DNS server where DNS server is the IP address assigned to the DNS server If there is more than one DNS server on your network you should ping each one If you cannot ping the DNS servers this indicates a potential problem with the DNS servers or with the network between the computer and the DNS servers quot and as the article doesn't detail how to determine the machine's 'IP Address' and doesn't detail how to determine 'P address assigned to the DNS server' again I'm left reading an otherwise virtually useless article What's worse in that the machine doesn't seem to be experiencing any real issues so far as I find in using it nor does the event log list any other errors of significance I suspect the event log error probably is a 'simple' result of the machine having once been set up for networking a Workgroup Homegroup between it and my XP SP machine which while it worked I ended up deleting the work home groups and no longer file sharing because I could only access share swap document files from one machine and not from both machines As best as I could I un-did the networking and file sharing on both machines but I'm guessing this never ending event log listing of the error is probably due to nothing more than something I've left un-attended to Or could this all be nothing more than the event log's reaction to my running the machine with the ethernet cable removed that and or in that I keep the WiFi turned off all the time that and or because I on... When it crashes, the video feed to my monitors stops so they go dark and say no signal and any sound that was playing begins stuttering; after about 10 seconds my computer restarts, so apparently there was a bluescreen that I could not see and the delay was windows saving the crash dump.

The problem is that the crashes are completely random; well, not completely, they only occur when I'm playing a fullscreen game, never when browsing the web or watching videos. About a month ago I freshly reinstalled windows 7 on a spare hard drive; hoping the problem was somehow related to 'garbage' and a fresh install would fix it. It stopped... for a while, and then started back up again.

I did some googling recently, found that someone with a similar issue had fixed it by upgrading their drivers; did so and found several including mobo inf and related were very out of date. That was about a week ago. When Skyrim was released on the 11th I did a marathon gaming session that lasted about 30 hours (yeah, I know) with zero computer issues whatsoever.

Then, yesterday afternoon I started playing Skyrim again.. and it crashed again randomly about 2 hours into my play. Crashed again about an hour later; and then this evening it crashed like 10 minutes into my play session.

I don't normally ask for help with computer issues; I've always fixed them myself with assistance from googling stuff and forums that helped me figure out what to do, but this is beyond me.

I built my current system december '08, upgraded the graphics card to the current gtx 570 last december and upgraded my OS from vista to 7 a few months ago. The rest of my system info is in my system profile stuff. Brief version below:
Gigabyte EX-58 Extreme
Core i7 920 stock clock (2.66ghz)
6GB (3x2GB) Corsair XMS3 1600MHz
EVGA GTX 570
Antec TPQ-1000 PSU
Windows 7 Pro x64 OEM

Also, my system runs quite cool; normal cpu idle temps are 84 F and system 120 ish. I've never experienced any graphical corruption either.

Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated.

One other thing I just recalled. Before about november 8th, these crashes used to say they were related to:
Event 18 WHEA-logger
A fatal hardware error has occurred.

Reported by component: Processor Core
Error Source: Machine Check Exception
Error Type: Cache Hierarchy Error
Processor ID: 0

However, these particular crashes stopped once I upgraded my BIOS from the mobo original to the latest (non-beta) bios F12

Mixed hardware (BC 124) and BC (116) errors. they seemed to change to BC 116 (below) when you removed the driver specified in driver verifier.

If it isn't temps, it could be power (you upgraded your gpu), what is the PSU rating?

"It's not a true crash, in the sense that the bluescreen was initiated only because the combination of video driver and video hardware was being unresponsive, and not because of any synchronous processing exception".

Since Vista, the "Timeout Detection and Recovery" (TDR) components of the OS video subsystem have been capable of doing some truly impressive things to try to recover from issues which would have caused earlier OSs like XP to crash.

As a last resort, the TDR subsystem sends the video driver a "please restart yourself now!" command and waits a few seconds.

If there's no response, the OS concludes that the video driver/hardware combo has truly collapsed in a heap, and it fires off that stop 0x116 BSOD.

If playing with video driver versions hasn't helped, make sure the box is not overheating.

Try removing a side panel and aiming a big mains fan straight at the motherboard and GPU.

Run it like that for a few hours or days - long enough to ascertain whether cooler temperatures make a difference.

If so, it might be as simple as dust buildup... Read more

Sorry that the title doesn't exactly describe the problem but I'm not exactly sure what to call it Starting yesterday at start up my computer has been giving me a whole slew of errors in the event log along with BSOD with every normal start up I haven't made any changes to the 41, etc.) Normal 1101, (Event Start 10, up 6000 BSOD 1001, On 20, hardware or any changes to system files that I'm aware of and aside from some GPU related crashes here and there there weren't any problems to speak of until yesterday So far I've run a full boot scan with Avast that returned with no results a BSOD On Normal Start up (Event 10, 20, 41, 1001, 1101, 6000 etc.) quick scan with Malwarebytes with no results and a sfc scannow that BSOD On Normal Start up (Event 10, 20, 41, 1001, 1101, 6000 etc.) also said everything was fine So all in all I'm not really sure what to do The Event IDs of the errors that appear in the event log are as follows and I've attached the SF diagnostic tool zip as well with the problems starting at pm on the th Any help would be greatly appreciated System specs are as follows OS - Windows Home Premium bit CPU - AMD Anthlon II X GHz Motherboard - ASUS M A L-M LX Memory - Crucial GB DDR PSU - Ultra w ATX Graphics Card - HIS Radeon HD PCIe GB GDDR Hard Drives Western Digital WD Green WD EARS TB RPM MB Cache SATA Gb s quot Western Digital WD Green WD EARS TB MB Cache SATA Gb s quot Western Digital Caviar GP WD AACS GB to RPM MB Cache SATA Gb s quot Edit Alright so the problem appears to be connected to the GPU in some way although to what extent be it the drivers card power to the card etc I can't be sure But so far the computer has stopped crashing when switching over to use the onboard graphics It seems a little strange though as I switched over to the on-board and uninstalled the drivers restarted the computer with the again and the computer was running fine or at least it gave me more time maybe two-three minutes compared to the usual seconds one minute before crashing But as soon as I finished installing Catalyst freshly downloaded from AMD it crashed and gave me a BSOD Also worthy of note while I say BSOD none of the screens have actually been blue they're all either just completely black or a gray green teal color with vertical lines running through them I'm not sure if it has any relevance but after booting into safe mode the first time and then going back to a normal startup Windows briefly displayed in the bottom right that my copy of Windows was not genuine followed by an agonizingly long black screen and desktop loading In addition to the above edit I've also run a chkdsk on my main drive which returned errors that were fixed after a reboot and windows defender ran returning with no errors And since it appears I forgot to mention it before I tried to do a system restore in safe mode to earlier yesterday which went through successfully but didn't fix any of the problems In the interest of being as thorough as possible over the last two days or so I've noticed a sound coming from the computer almost akin to that of when burning a disc or the hard drives doing a lot of work This noise seems to appear most frequently when idle which I find to be a little odd but I'm unsure if it's at all connected Hopefully this all helps shed a little light on my problem and again I'd greatly appreciate any help you have to offer

Hi and Welcome OpticArray

A "stop 0x124" is fundamentally different to many other types of bluescreens because it stems from a hardware complaint.

   Tip
Stop 0x124 minidumps contain very little practical information, and it is therefore necessary to approach the problem as a case of hardware in an unknown state of distress.

You can read more on this error and what to try here... Stop 0x124 - what it means and what to try: Stop 124 Troubleshooting Strategy

Hi there,

I've been getting some rather random crashes, after trying all the usual troubleshooting I thought I had solved it by replacing the GPU but it has just reared its ugly head again tonight. The screen goes black randomly during gaming, no particular title or anything meaning I have to reboot. The event log mentioned this after I rebooted:

The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x00000133 (0x0000000000000000, 0x0000000000000501, 0x0000000000000500, 0x0000000000000000). A dump was saved in: C:\Windows\MEMORY.DMP. Report Id: 022615-4796-01.

As per the instructions in the sticky I've attached the DM Log collector Tool zip file.

Hope you can help.

Thanks,

Mark

A:Black Screen Crashes while Gaming: Event Log 1001 BugCheck

Hi Mark & Welcome to the forums ^_^,

I have analysed your dump files and below has been provided an analysis of the same for informative purposes :-
DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION (133)
The DPC watchdog detected a prolonged run time at an IRQL of DISPATCH_LEVEL or above.
Arguments:
Arg1: 0000000000000000, A single DPC or ISR exceeded its time allotment. The offending
component can usually be identified with a stack trace.
Arg2: 0000000000000501, The DPC time count (in ticks).
Arg3: 0000000000000500, The DPC time allotment (in ticks).
Arg4: 0000000000000000

So, it seems that a driver exceeded the time limit allotted to it. Let's check the stack and see if we could find something.

So, it was the NVIDIA Driver responsible for the crash. Could you please run the Display Driver Uninstaller from this **LINK** and uninstall the currently installed NVIDIA Driver. Once the current driver has uninstalled, kindly install a driver which is few versions behind or try the driver you got in the Driver Disc with the Graphics Card.

0x124 is a general hardware error .

Quote:
A "stop 0x124" is fundamentally different to many other types of bluescreens because it stems from a hardware complaint.

Stop 0x124 minidumps contain very little practical information, and it is therefore necessary to approach the problem as a case of hardware in an unknown state of distress

Some generic advice.

If you are overclocking STOP.
Return to the default settings at least for now.

If you are running a RAID update its driver.

Hey everyone I recently coded a little game to test my knowledge of networking everything was fine both the client and the server ran fine within the IDE The problems arose when i created the executables I can connect to the server from the client just fine but when the main loop messages begin to send either Help! Event ID 1000, the client or the server crashes Now i'm pretty sure this has nothing to do with my code as i said the programs run fine Event ID 1000, Help! within the IDE When the programs crash the temporary error log that Event ID 1000, Help! is created contains the following information Well I was just about to post what was contained but windows has decided to stop creating logs lovely When i check the Event Viewer i see this error message Faulting application netshot client exe version faulting module netshot client exe version fault address x cf Or if the server crashes Faulting application netshot server exe version faulting module netshot server exe version fault address x bffbd I've tried everything i can think of Removing possible conflicting programs removing shell extensions spyware virus and malware scans winsock fixes sfc scannow the list goes on and on I have been trying to fix this problem for the past nine hours This is my last hope so to speak Any help you guys can offer is greatly appreciated Now if you'll excuse me i'm going to bed

Ever since installing IE7, I get periodic crashes in IE, and in the application log it's always:

Event ID: 1000

Faulting application iexplore.exe, version 7.0.5730.11, faulting module ntdll.dll, version 5.1.2600.2180, fault address 0x00031c6b.

The fault address changes, and once I saw one for module mshtmled.dll, but it's usually ntdll.dll that is flagged.

Anyone have any words of wisdom on this issue?

I've installed a fresh copy of W8/W8.1 on three systems and have resolved all the usual Event Log Errors that have been identified on this Forum. However, I have a new problem on the third system that I need help identifying a solution. The system is a Q9550 processor running on a GA-EP45-UD3P MB with 8GB of Mushkin C5 Ram and an OCZ SSD for a boot drive. For some reason the system has started to boot up OK and then after ~10 seconds the screen goes Blue and then the W8.1 screen rebuilds and all is well. I assume that the blue screen event is related to the Explorer.exe error?! Other than the event log entry and the initial blue screen the system works OK. I have included screen prints of the Event Log. Hopefully, someone can give me a hint on what the heck is going on that causes this problem.

Event ID: 1001

Description: the computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was 0x00000027 (0xb550d76c, 0xb550d468, 0xb550d468, 0x8846165e). A dump was saved in C:windows\memory.dmp

Please advise and hope able to provide me a better solution to avoid my server restart itself again.

Thank You.

A:Windows Server 2003 auto restart - Event ID 1005 / 1001 (Source Save Dump)

Without seeing the minidumps this is your error per auhma.org:

0x00000027: RDR_FILE_SYSTEM
This is a rare and fairly obscure error condition. Memory management issues can be one cause, and adding additional RAM commonly will resolve this version of the problem.

Hi,
Sorry for my dilatory reply. According to these analyze results, this problem indeed caused by duser.dll which belongs to Windows DirectUI Engine.
To resolve this problem, firstly, try to run Sfc /scannow command to fix system componments for test.
If no use, it would be better to access Windows Recoveroy mode to make system repair.
In addition, generally speaking, system dll file won't have problem, have you installed any app in your system that may harm to system file before this problem occures? If that it is, please try to uninstall it for test.

A:Event 1000, Application error

IMO...application hangs are (generally) the result of bad coding in the program.

I have a video-edit program that I've used for years...that really is the only program that ever hangs on any of my systems.  I just close the program via Task Manager and reopen it.

Are you having an actual system problem like an app crash/hang or just concerned about the Event Viewer entry itself?

A:Realtek Event 1000 Application Error

Is this a recent problem or has it always done this? If a recent problem, did you install anything?

Are you using the Dell supplied RealTek driver? Product Support | Dell US

You can also try uninstalling the RealTek sound AND the Drivers by going to the Device Manager, in the Sound section, RIGHT click on the entry for the RealTek to highlight it and then LEFT click Uninstall. Also, check the box to also uninstall the drivers. Then restart the PC and after Windows is finished starting, it will probably install the generic HD Audio Codec. If the sound works with the generic HD Audio Codec, then Install the Dell supplied driver. This should clear up the problem.

Sorry... it's off-topic. To be able to use the [IMG] tag, you need to make your image hosted on either ImageShack or Photobucket (or others0. I would suggest you to create a Photobucket account to link your Image files to us.

On-topic.
Since when it started to do so?
Did you run any diagnosis utilities (Memtest, etc)?
Did you try to backup your stuff and do a clean install?

Just a few suggestion. In my life, I never had that much errors on any of my Windows installs.

I keep getting an error message that reads "Outlook Event 1000" and about the same time some program that I have running stops working. It's not always the same program each time. I have a HP Pavilion a1712n. It has Microsoft Outlook 2007 loaded on it, but I am no longer using it. I am trying to figure the problem out but am running into problems with that. I'm not very computer literate. In other words I am probably the complete opposite of computer geek (spoken with respect). Maybe some might say a "geek wannabe", but all I know are just the basics about running the computer. Can somebody help me find the solution to my problem. I looked on other posts and threads here but I can't find where anybody else has had a problem like mine. Or maybe other people are better equipped the handle their problem. Please help.

Thank you.

Hi guys,

I'm new to this forum and was wondering if anyone has encountered this issue with Bioshock...

I've been playing Bioshock on my new laptop with no issues whatsoever but have noticed a lot of Critical Errors when I close the game down.

So I checked my Reliability Monitor and noticed since the New Year, I've had the same problem everytime I close down the game.

Is this a common problem? It's not affecting the game just when I close it down and hopefully it's not something I need to worry about!!

Any insight would be appreciated!

Good morning,

For the record my computer is a HP 64-bitPavilion p7-1157c AMD A6-3600 APU w/Radeon ? HD Graphics, 2.10GHz, 8 GBs of Memory, Win 7 Pro SP1, IE 9, Comodo Internet Security Suite, SuperAntiSpyware Pro, Trojan Hunter, Malwarebytes Anti Malware, Spyware Blaster and Windows Defender.

My wife uses Firefox as her browser and I use IE9, both on this computer. I just noticed that everytime she starts Firefox the following entry is recorded in Event Viewer. Any ideas what causes it and how to stop the entry from being entered in Event Viewer?

Faulting application name: firefox.exe, version: 19.0.2.4814, time stamp: 0x5138a1d3
Faulting module name: xul.dll, version: 19.0.2.4814, time stamp: 0x5138a0ed

A:Event 1000 error when Firefox starts

That error can be caused when extensions do not unload when FF is closed. Can you confirm whether it is being logged when opening FF, or when closing it? You might try running firefox with extensions disabled and see if the error reoccurs.

If everything is working correctly, I might add to not worry about it

A:Explorer Dll Errors (event 1000) When Browsing Certain Sites.

Hi Tontoman. IE7 is typically installed as an update, though it is certainly not a "critical update". Anyhow, it seems that IE7 should be able to be uninstalled like any other MS update. Then you can try re-installing it. MS makes IE7 available for download and installation at : http://www.microsoft.com/windows/downloads/ie/getitnow.mspxAny update can be uninstalled in Add or Remove programs, but to make updates visible in the list you must first check the box 'Show updates' at the top of the window.

Hello,
I've been having some issues with Windows 10 Pro. On occasion when rebooting my PC after Grand Theft Auto V crashes, I get a BSOD right before the Windows 10 log in prompt I get a K_mode_exception_not_handled error.

I'm also getting some event ID 1000 crashes while in GTA V (not sure if this the proper area to mention the event id 1000, apologies in advance if this is the wrong error to post that).

I've attached my debug file. Thanks in advance for any help you might have to give.

The first thing I see is you are way behind in updates. You are at 10240, the current level is 10586.318.

Please apply all Windows Updates then see how things stand.

The dump points to MS6Filter.sys. It's description is "Gamer Mouse with Launch and OSD". Please find a newer driver for the mouse or replace it as it's driver is very old:

I understand I could try replacing Kernelbase.dll, identified as the faulting module, with a new copy. But I don't think the file is corrupt. Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations. And I haven't found any other applications to have problems.

I'm just not sure what might have changed since I last started the application in question. Unfortunately, I have restore points disabled on my machine, so I cannot simply go back in time.

What can I do to resolve this problem? Thanks!

Hello Forum,

I'm getting a error in the Windows Logs - Application that appears to be related to the Win 10 free upgrade push. Without removing all the Win 10 updates to my Win 7 Pro x64 system, I'm looking for a way to resolve the error.

This is a Win 7 clean install return from Win 10.

Does anyone have a solution?

I would try to correct the error by running sfc /scannow, if that doesn't fix the problem you may have other file corruption/manifest issues; check the log located in C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. Another possibility would be to uninstall/reinstall KB3035583. Disabling the GWX associated tasks in Task Scheduler is a bit of a problem, see this post for the gory details.

Me? I'd just uninstall KB's 2952664 & 3035583, hide them & be done with the Win 10 upgrade nuisance.

A:Event ID 1000, Application Error - svchost.exe_DiagTrack, ntdll.dll

How often does this appear in Event Viewer?
My view on these errors is "no harm = no foul"
In other words, if it's not causing you a problem - then it's not worth looking into.

BUT, this is an error with 2 Windows files - so that (to me) is a concern.
The Exception Code of 0xc000000d is "An invalid parameter was passed to a service or function."
I wonder if it's ntdll.dll passing an invalid parameter to svchost.exe - or is there a 3rd party program involved in this somewhere further down the chain?

svchost.exe is a program that hosts other programs running in the OS.
ntdll.dll is NT Layer DLL - the exact definition of this eludes me, but what it is is a core Windows file

As such, it's protected by several different functions in the operating system and is likely not the problem.
This means (to me) that a 3rd party program is most likely involved here.

Now, let's just confuse things with a caveat here....
I'm a kernel specialist.  That means that I work with system level stuff, and tend to avoid the application level stuff (which this is a part of).
As such I'm not all that familiar with it - but I do know enough to cause a bit of trouble.

Finally, how I troubleshoot these sort of errors is by looking a Windows reports and trying to find patterns - or things that just don't fit quite right (such as older drivers, or unfamiliar programs).  Then I experiment with them (mostly by uninstalling and reinstalling them) to see what impact that has on the errors.
But, as I said in the beginning, if it's not causing you problems then I wouldn't worry about it now.
Good luck!

Hello I recently did an in place upgrade to Windows Pro and tried to create a free virtual machine using the provided MS development environment build Get a Windows development environment - Windows app development I created a internal and external virtual network adapter switch and after all is done attempted to either use the quot Enhanced (Event Activates Virtual Machine Crash 1026) Hyper-V When 1000, Audio Session quot or Remote Desktop Connection to enter my virtual machine This machine seems to otherwise work fine especially in Basic Session or when the network is set to Private instead of Hyper-V Virtual Machine Crash When Audio Activates (Event 1000, 1026) External or Internal but if the audio is available and any sound attempt to trigger in VM to be played by host machine it will crash The message just states that the connection has been lost The Event Log on the Hyper-V Virtual Machine Crash When Audio Activates (Event 1000, 1026) host machine Hyper-V Virtual Machine Crash When Audio Activates (Event 1000, 1026) my Win Pro simply shows that the 'vmconnnect exe' crashed with event and that there is a Net Runtime error event My repeated attempts to solve the issue involving looking into anything wrong with the connection setting or firewall setting revealed nothing Internet searches also did not reveal any answers though the closes person to have my issue also has no answer post Windows Hyper-V keep crashing - Super User I tried other OS for the VM as well but all had the same issue Win and Win Short of the in place upgrade causing this issue I was wondering if anyone here may be able to help me resolve this problem with the audio crashing the Virtual Machine Are there any additional settings to check services to run or features to install Any help would be appreciated

Hi all,

i tried loading the eventvwr.msc file from system32 folder directly as well as from the administrator tools, but i get:

"event log service is unavailable. verify that the service is running."

so i try to start the event log service, from the services.msc program;
whenever i try to start windows event log from services i get the message:

"Windows could not start the windows event log service on local computer.
Error 3: The system cannot find the path specified."

how can i specify the path?
or
how can i resolve the problem?

any help would be appreciated please---thanks

A:HELP need to solve this problem asap - Unable to start event viewer/event log service

Fire up regedit and find this key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Eventlog

With "Eventlog" highlighted on the left pane, you should be able to see a value called "ImagePath" on the right. ImagePath should be equal to this:

%SystemRoot%\System32\svchost.exe -k LocalServiceNetworkRestricted

If you can't see "ImagePath" in that location, or if it's not set to the text above, that's almost certainly your problem. If you're in the habit of using "registry cleaners", that might be the cause.
