I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/directdownload.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

It is now in Polish since I am polish and the edition I have is called Windows 7 Ingresso which is basicaly a cut down version of Win7 with some great programs preinstaled and is also really fast. The thing is I like doing youtube tutorials to some programs and things like that, but can't because Windows is in Polish...

I tried installing the English Language Pack through Windows Updates but it gives me an error code 800736B3

Anyone got any ideas?

Any help much appriciated thanks

Hello baertekxx12,

Peruse the link below to see if it provides any useful information.

Quote:
Microsoft has no publicly available information for error code 800736B3.
Other threads in Answers forums very strongly suggest that error code 800736B3 is a symptom of system corruption/damage, most often caused by, e.g., one or more Norton realtime-protection processes, an infection, and/or injudicious use of "Registry cleaners" (e.g., Registry Mechanic; System Mechanic; RegCure; Advanced SystemCare; AVG PC TuneUp; PCTools Optimiser; CCleaner).

A:win 7 pro x32 about language pack installation ...

You need either Windows 7 Ultimate or Windows 7 Enterprise to be able to install the extra language packs via Windows Updates.

The packs available are listed here: Download languages for Windows - Microsoft Windows

Your best bet would be to use Windows Anytime Upgrade from Professional to Ultimate. All you do is go online, buy a Product Key then run Windows Anytime Upgrade.

You'll be asked to enter your new Product Key, which is then verified. Once verification has taken place the upgrade will begin, which takes from as little as 10 minutes, depending on how many updates have to be downloaded and installed first.

The last few days a windows pop up comes up asking if i want to install a language pack. I keep checking the box ...don't ask again.....but it is still coming at odd times.
Any ideas?

A:language pack installation

The easiest solution is to just install it, as long as is a Microsoft language pack.
Doing this wont have any adverse affect on how your pc runs.

The funny thing is about these popups is that even if you dont install the language packs, the pc still reads the pages correctly 9 times out of 10. (another of those things built into windows just to confuse people)

Hi all I've been browsing this forum off and on hunting for solutions to my many troubles with Vista over the last several months and I've finally had one that no one else seems to be having or solving For background problem Premium 32bit Home Arabic installation in - language SP2 pack? I am SP2 installation problem in Home Premium 32bit - Arabic language pack? running Home Premium bit on an HP laptop with SP currently installed When I SP2 installation problem in Home Premium 32bit - Arabic language pack? try to install Vista SP from my primary account I am the system administrator it informs me that 'Installation was not successful' due to to a 'system error' It then instructs me to run the quot Check for System Update Readiness quot tool CheckSUR to attempt to solve the problem which I have tried several times Not counting the time I installed it back in April when it first was released The error code in question was TRUST E NOSIGNATURE x b I have run through the entire list of options to try on the Microsoft official help page and have begun to try a few other things in order to solve the problem Most recently I attempted to install the service pack from Safe Mode where it informed me that the REAL problem was that I have a language pack installed that is not supported This confuses me because I don't recall ever installing the Arabic language pack have certainly never been to Saudi Arabia and don't speak or read Arabic The only language pack that shows up in the list of installed language packs when I run LPKSETUP as suggested on another thread here is English Though this WOULD undoubtedly explain why I've been seeing an optional update in my Windows Update dialog for Arabic language support for the Windows Help Needless to say I hid the update but it hasn't changed anything either Out of desperation I have even attempted to remove all the folders marked ar-SA from the Windows folder but this hasn't seemed to affect anything - the service pack still won't install and still gives the same error So you know what I've tried and something of what the problem is The other issue I've been having which may or may not be related is that my quot Turn Windows Features on or off quot dialog shows up blank Much to my annoyance But that's likely an issue for another thread And as it does not appear in Windows Update I have been trying to install SP from the Standalone installer Any help would be greatly appreciated - and thank you in advance

A:SP2 installation problem in Home Premium 32bit - Arabic language pack?

Is there anyone out there who can help me? I'm still struggling with the problem, and as Vista has been rather buggy for me lately I've started experimenting with Explorer alternatives. This has helped, amazingly, and quite a bit, but it's still only a stopgap measure. I need SP2, and the many fabled fixes it brings.

Still getting the same "due to a system error" message from my full boot. Should I try Safemode again, or is that just going to give me the same issue about the language pack? Does anyone know a way to get rid of one of those things?

Or should I just be waiting for the multi-language installation of SP2 in the hopes that that will work? Considering that I only have English listed as installed, though, that seems like a sad option. . .

I installed Windows 8 Pro and installed an additional language(let's say it's B) pack, changed system display language to B, and system locale to B.

And I got infinite BSOD after installing some drivers(not related to language pack, just I made mistake installing old programs), so I 'refresh'ed the system.

Guess what, after the refresh, system display was set to English(united kingdom, which is default), AND system locale remained as language B.

This is the problematic part;
1.I CANNOT change system display language to B, it says it's unavailable.
2.The system regards the language pack is already installed because I can still use B as system locale.
3.I cannot reinstall or remove the language pack. LPKSETUP doesn't detect B.

SO i'm pretty much stuck, and I don't want to reinstall just to change the system display language.

Is there any solution to this(removing/reinstalling language pack)?

Microsoft 2 years ago discontinued the support for language pack support,
I was pointing there to change interface every-time I had to reinstall.
The PC Main Disk crashed, and over the pain to do the full install of everything,

A:Windows Language Pack

Hi there
Download the SWEDISH LIP from here

Download languages for Windows - Microsoft Windows

Even includes obscure languages like WELSH etc.

I used the Icelandic one -- works a treat on my systems. In some cases you need to install over a base ENGLISH version of W7 but I think for Swedish installing over ANY installed language version of W7 base should be OK -- the list contains the requirements.

Once you've installed go to control panel regional settings and you can get around 99% of the Interface switched to the alternate language(s). You can install as many as you like and note the Logon screen if you set the administrator options in control panel will also be presented in your chosen language.

You need to have W7 PRO or higher unfortunately -- it won't work with HOME PREMIUM -- which IMO is daft since corporates often use ENGLISH but home users are much more likely to want W7 in their native language.

You should find no trouble installing on W7 Enterprise whether X-86 or the 64 bit version.

You can switch back to the original English any time after install too.

Cheers
jimbo.

Windows 7 language packs are available for computers that are running Windows 7 Ultimate or Windows 7 Enterprise. The Windows 7 language packs can be installed only from the Optional Updates section in Windows Update. However, these language packs are not available on the Microsoft Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) server or through the Microsoft Download Center.

To download and install a Windows 7 language pack, follow these steps:
Start Microsoft Update. To do this, click Start, type Microsoft Update in the Start Search box, and then click Microsoft Update in the Programs list.
Click the optional update links for the language packs.
Under the Windows 7 Language Packs category, select the desired language pack.

Note If you install many additional language packs, the disk space and system performance are affected. In particular, disk space and system performance are affected during servicing operations, such as Service Pack installations. Therefore, we recommend that you only add a language pack to your computer if you will use the language pack.
Click OK, and then click Install updates to start the download and installation process.

Hi.

I have a PC with Windows 8.1 single language pack(OEM DVD) and I need to get a new language pack.

But since the OS being single language pack, I am not able to download another language pack,

and so I thought I would get a 8.1 Pro or a normal NOT single language pack and do an upgrade.
(a wee bit sideways though )

So here is the Q.

If I get myself a 8.1 pro(non-single language), will I be able to upgrade my OS to a normal 8.1 pro?

Need to be typing in both Korean and English but I'm stuck with only English...

A:Windows 8.1 single language pack upgrade

You should be able to upgrade if you have bought the 8.1 Pro key. I've not tried it as I never had single language but MS says you can.

Can I add features to my Single Language edition of Windows?Yes. If you bought the Windows 8.1 Pro Pack or Windows 8 Pro Pack, you should be able to install it and activate Windows successfully.

Hello, I have Asus X202E Vivobook bought with Windows 8 Japanese OS version. I had the OS switched to English.  Yesterday
I installed Windows 8.1, I can see that the english language pack is still there in the system but it shows unavailable.  I'm unable to switch the OS back to English or read anything as I do not know japanese.

I tried to install another english language display of English (UK) but it's just not working. So for example, if I open
my control panel, everything is in Japanese, whereas before the 8.1 update, I was able to view everything in English.

Could anyone suggest what I should do to switch to english?

I have a problem with a laptop, from Thailand, that has a Windows Thai Language Pack on. The problem is that it is my friends laptop, who is Thai, but he wants it all to be in english.

The Thai Language Pack seems to change alot of the windows program names and folders into Thai, but he wants them to be English.

So, can i just remove it and it will go back to a normal windows, all in english?
Or, will it not work without the pack?

If it was my laptop i would just remove it and see what happens, but my friend has about 20 Gb of games on it, and about 60Gb music. So i really don't want to mess up his computer.

Also, if i download a English Language pack, would it overide the Thai one?

Thanks.

Just installed Win 8 Release Preview to my VMware.

When I had the Win 8 Consumer Preview , language pack included Chinese Simplified but not Chinese Traditional.
Now with the Release, Chinese Simplified is not available either.
What gives ?

Hello, I have a Windows 7 Professional system, but language packs are not supported by this version of OS. Are there any way to switch the language of my PC from another language to English?

Relevancy 65.36%

Hi, I am looking to buy a laptop here in Germany where I live, but as an 'auslander' (i.e foreigner), my native language is English, so I'm wondering if its possible to change the user language to English on the low-end laptops equipped with 'Windows 8.1 with Bing.'

From what I have read online, there are supposedly no handicaps or limitations for the end user for the Bing-version Windows, however, I have noted from this article that the "About Windows" screen cap states something to the effect of it being a 'single language.'

Does this mean that I cannot switch to everything being in English with this version of Win 8.1, or is it still possible to add a language pack?

Thank you!

A:Adding Language Pack to 'Windows 8.1 with Bing'

Hi Gb33, welcome to the Eight Forums.

Myself an ex-pat living in Germany I know how important but sometimes difficult it is to find a computer here with pre-installed OS in any other language than German. Luckily Windows 8 made this a bit easier due language packs being available in all editions except single language edition.

Windows 8.1 with Bing is available in four different versions. One of them, Windows 8.1 with Bing China we can forget . Remains Windows 8.1 with Bing Single Language, Win 8.1 with Bing N and normal Windows 8.1 with Bing. You can use language packs (change display language from German to any language) in both N and normal versions, the Single Language can only be used in its original language.

Short: ask the store, check what version of Windows 8.1 with Bing the laptop has. Version N comes without Windows Media Player and other media features but these can be easily added by yourself with no cost (Download Media Feature Pack for N and KN versions of Windows 8.1 from Official Microsoft Download Center). You can use language packs in version N to change your display language. Windows 8.1 with Bing normal version has all media features and can also use language packs.

Be careful, check that you will not get a German Single Language version.

Dear forum,

I have twice tried and installed Windows XP Service Pack 2. It works great for about one week but after that my computer totally freezes directly after login (so you even can't move the mouse pointer). If I try and reboot the computer it hangs every time.

To solve the "hanging" problem, I enter XP in Safe mode and unistall XP Service Pack 2, after I have done that the computer is fine. I have one buddy who has exactly the same problem, so we can't be alone I would think?? Any hints? It would be nice to be able to run SP2...

Thank you so much,

I just spent the last weekend trying to 'upgrade' my new HP Envy laptop to Windows 8 Pro using a store bought OEM disc. I bought a Seagate Momentus XT hybrid drive and tried to ghost the factory drive - no luck. I then tried a clean install to the Seagate using the Recovery Discs I prepared originally - discs appear to be corrupted. I also tried booting from OEM disc and it appears that I'm missing a media driver. I read about installing from USB stick - tried that and no luck as the install couldn't see the new drive...

I now have a new notebook with no OS. My last resort at this point is to turn on legacy support in the bios and try to load the OEM disc. So much for trying to speed my laptop up.

Any ideas on how to get this thing working would be greatly appreciated.

A:Windows 8 OEM installation nightmare

Update - I changed the BIOS settings to allow for legacy support and Win 8 appears to be loading. Is it possible to switch back to UEFI (turn off legacy support) once installed (or will drive fail to boot)?

I tried upgrading my Windows ME to Windows XP Pro on another computer and encountered a HORRIBLE problem While i was running the setup for XP it told me that one of my programs had to be uninstalled for Windows XP to be able to install itself The program was 'Goback' by Adaptec which is a program i had on the PC that allows you to undo problems if XP Windows NIGHTMARE installation something happens to your computer unexpectidly The XP installation told me that it could not intall itself untill i removed Goback So i closed the setup and removed Goback from my computer and then Windows XP installation NIGHTMARE rebooted Windows XP installation NIGHTMARE But when my computer restarted my monitor's display looked as if it was in safe mode and MY MOUSE WAS NOT WORKING But my keyboard was still operational I tried going into control panel and restoring my original display settings but everytime i restarted the computer it allways goes back to the very low color display And still doesn't allow my mouse to work I tried switching mouses but that hasn't solved the problem and no matter what i do the display still looks as if it's in safe mode Is there any way to fix this problem Did this happen because i did something wrong

A:Windows XP installation NIGHTMARE

You've probably got a corrupt registry, not your fault but the best way to upgrade to XP from any OS but especially the mickey mouse ME is to do what you now have to. Format the drive and start again from scratch, XP will install drivers for your hardware and all you need is to have the ME CD which you will need to allow the installation routine have sight of during setup by popping it into the CD drive. The installation will be much more stable and provide you with a better system than upgrading.

Hi guys and girls

I've just come back from a long-weekend holiday and my PC has been overrun by spyware while I was away (grr family)

Anyways, I get these random balloon tips popping up saying things like my antivirus is out of date, i have 9 virus', etc and my desktop is taken over by a blue screen with some details of my PC.

More annoying is that the settings on the PC have essentially been locked down, I cant access the registry, clear IE history, change the desktop, etc.

So I am a bit stuck.

I have attached the HijackThis logs and hopefully someone smarter than me can help.

Cheers guys

A:Total PC Protection Nightmare

Hi Seano82,

Welcome to Tech Support Forums!

If you are still having malware problems, I will be glad to help.

First of all, please rename HijackThis.exe to HJT1991.exe. This is because I suspect that your system may have a Vundo infection that is hiding some entries from HijackThis.

NEXT:

BEFORE BEGINNING, Please read completely through the instructions below. Please also print these instructions or copy them to Notepad (or another word processor), and save it for easier reference. This is because we will be in Safe Mode during the fix and you won?t be able to access the Internet to view these instructions.

You will need to keep Internet Explorer and Windows Explorer (including My Computer) closed throughout the entire process.

1. Please download CWShredder from HERE:Save it to your desktop.
First, be sure to update CWShredder.
Please do NOT run a scan yet!

2. Please download About:Buster from HERE

Unzip it to the desktop, but do NOT run it yet!

3. Please download CCleaner (freeware) from HERE.Run the CCleaner installer.
During installation process, please UNCHECK "Add CCleaner Yahoo! Toolbar".
Please do NOT run a scan yet!

4. Please download ewido anti-spyware from HERE and save that file to your desktop.

This is a 30-day trial of the program -- This means that after 30 days the "background guard" protection will be de-activated. However, this version can continue to be manually updated and used as an on-demand scanner forever.Once you have downloaded ewido anti-spyware, locate the icon on the desktop and double-click it to launch the setup program.
Once the setup is complete you will need to run ewido and update the definition files.
On the main screen select the "Shield" icon, then under the "Resident shield is" section change the "Active" status of ewido?s resident shield to "Inactive".
On the main screen select the "Update" icon, then under the "Manual update" section select the "Start update" button.
The update will start and a progress bar will show the updates being installed.
Once the update has completed (the progress bar will display "Update successful!") select the "Scanner" icon at the top of the screen, then select the "Settings" tab.
Once in the "Settings" screen click on "Recommended actions" and then select "Quarantine".
Under "Reports:"Select "Automatically generate report after every scan".
Un-Select "Only if threats were found".

Close ewido anti-spyware. Please do NOT run a scan yet!

5. Reboot your computer into Safe Mode by doing the following:Reboot your computer.
After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but just before the Windows icon appears, begin tapping the F8 key on your keyboard. If you begin tapping the F8 key too soon, some computers display a "keyboard error" message. To resolve this, reboot the computer and try again.
Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu should appear.
Using the arrow keys on the keyboard, scroll to and select the "Safe Mode" menu item, and then press "Enter".

6. Once in Safe Mode, please run CWShredder:Please remember to close every window except for CWShredder, then double-click the CWShredder icon on your desktop.
Click Fix and then Next, let it fix everything it asks about.
Then please exit CWShredder.

7. Then please run About:Buster:Click "Start" to begin the scan.
If prompted to end the Explorer.exe process, click "Yes".
Your desktop may disappear --- this is normal.
Allow the program to scan twice, and when complete click "Save Log".
This will create a text file called "AB Logfile.txt" in the folder where About:Buster is saved. I will want to see this logfile later.
Then please exit About:Buster.

8. Please run CCleaner... Read more

I'm simply trying to share a folder on two Windows7 machines.

After 2 days and almost 20 hours of painfull google search and tries i'm still trying to figure out what is going wrong.

- Both computers are connected to the same WorkGroup
- Both computers are connected to the same HomeGroup
- Both computers share a folder using everyone full control
- In home/work and public files sharing is enabled, password is disabled for both computers (same settings with only password disabled)
- Both computers have the exact same date and time
- Both computers are identical (same model and config)
- Both computers are listed when browsing the networks on both computers..
- Machine A was used to setup the homegroup, machine B was able to joint it
When typing the computer name "\\MachineB" from MachineA it never work while machine B can access to MachineA shared folders

Definitively need help

Welcome to Windows Seven Forums.

I'm intrigued as to why you're using a Workgroup and a Homegroup. As both computers use Windows 7 you only need a Homegroup.

Have you tried sharing by use of the Public Folder?

A:How to change Windows 7 installation language?

If you are not running Windows 7 Ultimate this can only be achieved using a program such as http://www.froggie.sk/; it is an easily accessible built in feature in Ultimate but requires third party software like this to implement in any other version, however it does use the official Microsoft Language Packs.

Hi all! It is my first post here.
Hope to find an answer though.

The thing is...
I just bought a laptop via ebay. It had Windows XP installed but not English. It was Spanish or something else. It is not important as I formatted the disk already. There is a licence bundled with the laptop (sticker on bottom with a serial key). It is for Windows XP Home Edition.

Is it possible to borrow my neighbour's English WinXP installation disk and use my (foreign) key to install the OS?
As far as I am concerned - I already poses the licence (OEM) bundled with the laptop so it wouldn't be considered as an act of piracy, would it? would the key work with the UK installation disk?

Regards!
Fil.

Hey guys, my Windows 8 installation sort of died, so I want to reinstall Windows 8.1 on top of it. My Windows 8 came preinstalled with my Dell laptop.

1. I have a Single Language key, but I keep seeing these ISOs for Single Language and Core, what exactly is the difference between these two editions? Also, there is another one, "Core Single Language". What's that?

2. Can anyone recommend me some places to download Windows 8.1 ISOs? Is this thread on another forum trustable?

3. Has anyone recently tried the Windows 8.1 clean install > change product key to Windows 8 key method recently? I am afraid that I will be left with an unuseable installation of Windows.

Thanks in advance!

A:Windows 8.1 Core/Single Language Installation w/ Win8 key

Welcome,

Core Single Language is exactly as it says.. It's Windows 8 Core but limited to a single language.

MDL forum only links to "untouched" ISO's - no modified links are allowed there - so yes - those can be trusted.

The tutorials here will get you across the line the rest of the way.
PS You will need the CSL .esd file from store (on a different thread) I leave that up to you - I don't think discussing other forums here is a good idea though.

I've been trying and trying to install Service Pack 1a from the link RichieUK provided on my post about popups destroying my life, but my computer will not progress past the 'checking your computer for needed updates' screen. I've done it several times without success, so is there any other way i can install the service pack? Another link that will take me directly to the installation? Or even saving the file to a USB on another computer and transferring it?
Thanks!
Steph

Hi all,

I bought the Family Pack (3 computer license) when it was first commercially available. I initially installed one license each on my new desktop computer and a Toshiba notebook. Much later I installed the third license on my home theater computer.

Now, I would like to deactivate Windows 7 on the Toshiba notebook and go back to the factory install of Vista prior to selling it. Then, I want to BootCamp that license on my MacBook Pro.

Is Microsoft notified in some way that an install has been deactivated? Will the activation on the MacBook installation be painless?

I have no problem with phone activation, but not doing anything special aside from typing in the key helps to keep life dull and boring.

Kent

A:Windows 7 Family Pack - Deactivate one installation

You may have to call in next time you use the key, but so long as it's legitimate and only on one machine you shouldn't have trouble getting it activated again.
They may make you call it in during activation because they will register the change in hardware profile connected to the key you have.

They aren't ridiculously tight about it like they were with xp, but they will want to ensure the key is only in use on ONE MACHINE.

Hi All,

I am new in this forum.

While install Windows XP Service Pack 2, I had got some problem. Some of the PCs will hang while "Perform Cleaning Up" process. Try Ctrl+Alt+Del can terminate the process, but I think it is not a good way. Did anyone know that it was Service Pack 2 common issue or hardware / software problem? And is there any solution can fix it out?

Many thanks,
Dijon

A:Windows XP Service Pack 2 installation problem.

So you stoped the service pack from doing a cleanup prosess. This does not clean you computer it cleans up what items its used during the prosess. If you just install the Service Pack again it will not affect your computer apart from making it run better. it will NOT affect your files or how you run it.

Hello I tried to install service pack 1 on my windows 7 64 bit system but it failed to configure correctly. Now it has been stuck with the message "Failure configuring Service Pack, Reverting changes" for several hours with no sign of progress. I got so fed up I turned the computer on and off but it just returns to the same state. I can boot it in safe mode and access my files that way, but is there anything I can do to prevent my computer getting stuck in this state again when booted normally? Thankyou.

Boot into SAFEMODE and run System Restore -
START | type rstrui

When back into normal Windows, run --> http://support.microsoft.com/kb/947821

Go through checklist; same for Windows 7 SP1 - Vista SP1/ SP2 Prepwork - sysnative.com - MVP

Wonder if you guys can help with an installation of SP1 for Windows 7 32-Bit. I have attached the cbs.log containing the error information however all the fixes suggested around the net (disable AV, selected startup, install in safe mode etc) don't work and the service pack still fails to install.

I am not sure what it is I am looking for in the log but if someone can help me out by pointing me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it.

There are known issues with SP-1. Some requiring re-installation of certain previous updates. Google it.

Went to Windows Update Page and clicked on 'Express'. Message said Error Number 0x80072EE2'. Tried a solution then clicked on 'Express' again. This time installation process started but after just 19% of download/installation and for the next 20 minutes or so nothing happened. So I cancelled the process. Turned off McAfee Firewall and tried again. This time download and installation went a bit further but at a point which said 'Running processes after installation' nothing happened for yet another 20 minutes or so. So I cancelled again. What's going on ?

The store doesn't show the option to upgrade to windows 8.1 (i have already installed all of my updates and the computer fits the minimum requirements for the update.)

Any idea how to get this thing into english?
i'm ok with a downgrade to windows 7, too, although i doubt that would be easier.

Personally I'd slipstream SP2 into your WinXP CD and install that way, with another reformat and reinstall. If you've been on the web with a pre sp2 fresh install you may have already picked something up preventing SP2 installing. SP2 won't install if you have certain virus's or spyware. Is there any way of installing these files without the CD?

Have a look in Control Panel > Programs & Features which lists all the software you or the PC manufacturer have installed.

Hello jonaand &

Select the original installation file, MUISETUP.exe (Multilingual User Interface Pack), run it and deselect all the language packs you want to remove.

Hey Everybody,
I was wondering if there was a Polish language package out there for Windows Vista Home Premium/Basic. My grandparents are getting a new computer soon and it would be a great help if we could find a Polish language pack. Thanks!

Hi everyone, I have a question. I visited this car accessory site, ind-distribution.com using IE7. When I tried navigating through the site a small window popped up saying that I had to install a korean language pack in order to view the webpage correctly. So, I proceeded with the install and the installation proceeded to install files into my windows and system directories. When the install is done, I continue to navigate through the site, but notice there's no korean characters? It's a US based site as well. So, now I'm paranoid...did I install something that could potentially be harmful to my system? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!

A:Korean language pack?

I went to the site you mentioned above and it didnt ask me to install a korean language pack.

I installed both the Asian and Hebrew language packs with no problem. However, I started getting legitimate popups up in Kanji characters. This is quite frustrating as I have no idea what it is saying. I was so frustrated that I uninstalled the language pack. (This never happened with the Hebrew pack) Uninstalling it did nothing to help this situation.

I got so aggravated I took every Asian font off the computer too.

If you have any ideas I could use them. Everytime Apple and some others send me an update it is all in characters and I do not know what button to push.

~~thanks in advance

Hi,

how do the LPs work? I know there are some LPs that needs to be incluted in the Windows installation CD.

But now i saw a LP (for build 7229) that is a 2GB iso.
Is that something that i have to install after Windows (no integration)?

A:Language Pack question

They are an additional install that has to change over EVERY word from x language to the y language installed. I don't know if you can switch back and forth or not, but it is a large file.

You have to install it as an update. I have not done this, so I don't know how it works after that.

When I got this computer, it didn't come with Genuine Office. So when i tried to download the japanese language IME, it said because of this, i can't download the language pack. Is there ANY way of getting it without having to shell out a couple hundred bucks for Genuine Office XP? Are their any other programs that enable me to read and type in Japanese?

Hi list !!!

Is there different versions of Windows 7 for different language, or there is a base version, and you can change the language by installing Language Pack of your choice.

Say for example, i want Turkish version of Windows 7; for that do I need to buy Turkish version of Windows 7 or English version with Turkish Language pack will be equivalent ??

A:Yet Another Language Pack Question

Welcome!

The language pack will be essentially equivalent, but only Windows 7 Ultimate can download them.

If you want a lower version, like Home or Professional, you will need to buy the Turkish version.
