I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/directdownload.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

There may be something in the router configuration for website blocking...

Edit: I found on the Netgear site that this router does support URL blocking, but the user guide is useless (all Optus branded). Your best bet would be to log in to your router and look for "Website Filtering" or something along those lines.

i have a 13 year-old-sister that is getting into trouble using msn messenger and other messenger services. I've tried to uninstall the software multiple times, but everytime I get back on, she has redownloaded it, no matter how many times I lecture and threaten her. I tried to see if there were a way to actually block the msn messenger service altogether from being downloaded, but had no luck finding any info on that. So then I wanted to know if there was a way to block certain websites, so she couldnt even have access to the download pages. That may come in handy in the future too to block other sites. Any advice you may have on any of these things I would very much appreciate it. Thank you.

A:How to block certain websites

there are a couple of things that come to mind right off the top of my head.
1. siteadvisor by mcafee. i'll try to get back to you with a link. any bad sites get a red X, your sister will probably ignore them, however.
2. www.komando.com is a website that is affiliated with a national radio show. there will probably be some help there because there is a lot of focus there about the dangers of the web for young people. i believe there is actual software that will stop the visiting of bad sites, though it may cost money.

I know it sounds a little weird but there are websites that I want to block from myself. I visit them even though I shouldn't and I need to stop myself.

Is there a way to block sites and then make it so I can't undo it? Perhaps by having to input a password that is full of jumbled letters? I'm using Mozilla Firefox.

Many thanks if you can help my weird problem.

I do remember a program that does just that. I will keep looking but Windows Steady State might work for you, too. (FREE)Using Microsoft Windows SteadyState to Limit Accesshttp://www.microsoft.com/windows/products/...is/default.mspxThis is a new program by Microsoft for Windows XP and Vista users that allows you to define features by user profiles. As you might guess, you need to have different user accounts and assign privileges. These privileges range from being able to save data to the hard drive or gaining access to the Internet. Microsoft describes the product as allowing you to, * Defend shared computers from unauthorized changes to their hard disks * Restrict users from accessing system settings and data * Enhance the user experience on shared computersWindows SteadyState is free and powerful. It?s one people might consider when they get a new computer. There are a couple caveats. The first is the program works using an Internet whitelist, not blacklist. In other words, you can tell SteadyState to allow a specific profile access to a web site, but you couldn?t list a site as an exclusion.Another caveat is that it comes with a learning curve which makes sense given its capabilities. There is a fairly active community where you can pose questions but I would suggest reading the documentation before you start. Currently the program does not work with Vista 64 bit versions.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------K9 may also work. http://www1.k9webprotection.com/aboutk9/product-features.php(Free to Home Users)Web Site ExceptionsIn addition to the defined and custom protection levels, K9 Web Protection allows you to explicitly block or allow access to specific Web sites. For example, K9 is blocking a site, but you want to allow access to it, but not any others in the category.

Hello there, I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on some freeware to block websites for my 2 computers at work. I have 2 computers in my office that are open to my employees when they need them on their breaks. They mainly use them for requesting off of work or just to do some searching while on their lunch break. I want something that can block just certain websites like www.myspace.com since that is now a huge thing and it has lately gotten a huge worm. I have already tried using iProtectYou software but that is too extreme and my managers can't view a lot of websites. I don't want to lock the computers out and only allow a few websites to be viewed, i want to do the opposite and not allow certain websites and anything to do with the website(like myspace.com).

Thanks for any help

I have been trying to block access to proxy sites without success. What I have done works on some but not all.

I've used a program called Internet Lock to block the port 443, but still I can access the proxy site.

I've put the name of the domain in the list of block sites, still it passes.

I tried to find out the IP address of the website, but I can't find it. Don't know if that would even work anyway.

One proxy site in particular seems to bypass all locks. https://unblockit.cc

If anyone knows how to block such sites, without losing access to gmail, yahoo mail, hotmail, it would greatly be appreciated.

Thanks

I would like to block individual websites, is there any free software/utility or means of doing this? Thanks

A:How can i block individual websites

all kinds of techniques, depending upon the volume (number) and or content.

If you have a router, you may be able to block URLs that contain specific keywords
(eg porno term ) which would block man urls with each keyword

if you have just a few sites and want to kill access to all content from them, add
127.0.0.1 www.domain.name to your hosts file (ask and I can provide details)

if you need to bock a specific url from a site and allow all others, you can add it to
your Block list in the browser.

If you're concerned for the kids, then google for NetNanny

Hi all,

Well, I've got a strange issue that started yesterday (possibly two days ago). I was watching tv shows on TV Shows, Movies and Music Videos - Viki.com when it suddenly stopped loading. I assumed it was a site issue since all other websites I visited loaded fine. Yesterday, I tried to load up Valve and it wouldn't load. Neither would viki.com.

I visit these sites almost everyday and never encountered an issue like this. I don't remember messing around with settings on anything. I haven't downloaded any new programs.

I run Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit with Service Pack 1. I've tried both IE and Firefox.

Anyone have a clue as to why this might be happening?

Is there any way to force websites (any website) to load and page-down normally and block infinite scroll - or whatever it's called. I don't know the word for it. The thing where you page down and you think you're at the bottom of the page but then more stuff keeps loading.

This is one of the stupidest designs in the history of the internet and makes my head explode because it has no useful purpose whatsoever. I need it to just stop.

A:Block infinite scroll on websites?

Not that I know of. Infinite scroll (yes, it's actually called infinite scroll) is defined in the programming of the website itself and not as a characteristic of the browser that you can change at will.

It really serves a very useful purpose, it's used to page the contents of the website. Imagine that, without it, the page will have to load in its entirety for you to see anything. Take for example the Google images search result. Not having infinite scroll means that the whole result set will have to load before seeing anything. Considering the amount of results Google can get it will be a looooooong delay time.

The obvious alternative would be using a normal page scheme (next/previous/first/last/etc). Using one or the other or something else is a decision of the web designer that browsers can't change at will.

What can I use to block Clickbait and trash news wesbites that just scrape other sites? I'm pretty good about not clicking on them, but occasionally I'm tricked. I'd like it if my browser would just not open the website. I'm OK with seeing the Akami ads and the like, but I just don't want the sites they link to to every open.

Is there a good extension that I can add sites to that Chrome would then not open? Something like a button on the top right that I can click on to say this site is trash never open it again.

Is there some sort of firewall or network software that keeps lists of this junk that I could buy for cheap, or configure myself?

Any advice appreciated.

Hello everyone,

I have a young teenager and every attempt that I have tried to block adult websites from them, have failed. I want to know if there is a program out there that can block/blacklist any and all adult websites from the web browsers that we use. We use IE and FireFox. This is a big concern for me, due to the fact that it's not apporiate for them to see.

Any help with this subject would be GREATLY appriecated.

guys,
i had my own wireless set in my shop, and i already set in the password to prevent somebdy else using it freely, but recently one 'friend' of mine come and ask for the password, unable to refuse,i simply gave him my key,and now he using it,FOR FREE!!!
i dont mind sharing my wireless but atleast he shuld help me to pay but when i ask him to,he simply said, that is not mine,so he dont have right to pay..

so is there any solution to block him from using my wifi freely without changing my old password, because if i change it he sure will come back and i'm not sure i can refuse to give him another password..i check his computer name using my cmd on net view, but i dont even know how to block him..any help and response will be appreciate, and sory for my bad english.

beg.

A:block people using my wifi freely

Obviously he's no friend or he wouldn't be taking advantage of you.

You'll have to change your wireless password and you also need to password-protect your computer so that he can't get access to it.

As for not being able to refuse him, just hold a knife to his throat and tell him he's having no more free rides on your wireless network. If he persists, report him to your ISP.

What I want is the most secured pc possible disabling all the network connections except my private network made with hamachi I use it to play games on lan with my friend but when I get malicious tools from internet all my system is f ed up and I need to reinstall windows softwares and all my games one by one -I use the standard windows firewall my computer is xp pro SP -I deleted every web browser I had explorer not completely removed -Our hamachi network is secured with a password only the two of us using it -I plan on freezing my system partition after making all the changes needed deepfreeze So how can I reinforce my pc security without buying an AV that will ruin me What setting should I change in my firewall or is there a better one aviable for but hamachi block all to network connections private network? How not free Is there an alternative to freezing my system since I need to turn it off even for the smallest change Hope you can help me on this nbsp

A:How to block all network connections but not hamachi private network?

From what I've read, you have to allow Hamachi to contact its server in order to login.

Apart from that, go to Windows Firewall, Exceptions tab, and uncheck everything that you feel is not used.

A stateful packet inspection (SPI) firewall will only allow networks packets to come in if it has seen packets going out to that address. So if an application talks to a server, then that server is allowed to reply back. Otherwise all other inbound connections attempts are blocked. The Windows Firewall is an SPI type. So, that should fulfill your requirement of "disabling all network connections" .

One thing you should consider. Windows Firewall on XP doesn't block outgoing applications. So if you downloaded a malware and it starts calling home, Windows Firewall will not stop it. There are free firewalls available, like Comodo and Online Armor, which have outbound blocking. These 2 have a built in white list of safe programs to allow online. If an unrecognized program calls outbound, it will ask you for permission.

I don't understand why an antivirus will ruin you. I'll assume that you mean financially. There are a number of antivirus programs that are free: AVG Free, MS Security Essentials and Avast.

You stated that you want the 'most secured pc possible'. So I'll add some other advice.

Get a router if you don't have one. Even if you have only 1 PC. The router will act as a basic hardware firewall. The Windows Firewall is ok, but you need that router as an additional layer of defense.

It is best not to tamper with Internet Explorer, it is too integrated into Windows. Besides, you will need a browser to configure your router. But you can use Firefox, Opera or Chrome.

A secured Windows is one that is configured to do Only the things you need, and nothing more. When you have extra features that you don't need, it just enlarges the 'attack surface' that an attacker can use. First things to look for are the 'network facing' features, because hackers can tamper with anything that respond through the internet.

Go to Network/Properties and uncheck all protocols that you do not use. A minimal configuration just needs TCP/IP v 4.

There are some services running on XP that you'll never use. See this article:

http://blogs.techrepublic.com.com/security/?p=354

Note, you better write down the list of services that you disable, and what the original settings were - automatic or manual.

Go to Secunia and install their PSI program. This program will inspect your installed applications and notify you when one of them have security updates. You will want to run this weekly.

Also keep Windows Update on Automatic. Most patches nowadays are security related, and you do NOT want to delay installing them.

If your programs can work when using a non-admin account, then use a non-admin account for your daily activities. The administrator account is all powerful, and if someone successfully attacks a program running as admin, they will gain admin rights on your system too. Then it's game over.

Someone with physical access to your PC can do a lot of damage. So you should have a long and complex passphrase for logon. For example, the phrase "Kirk is the captain of the USS Enterprise" will become "kitcotusse". Throw in a number and it becomes "k444itcotusse". I recommend passphrases longer than 16 characters.

Part of keeping your Windows secure is to keep up with all security fixes. A lot of successful attacks are based on vulnerabilities that already have patches, just because people don't do Windows Update. Never fall behind on patches. This is especially important for XP, because unlike Vista or Win7, it doesn't have ASLR, services hardening and other technologies to foil attacks.

Security is part 'setup' and a lot of maintenance. To use a physical analogy, you want to lock a door to keep the room safe... Read more

Hi there

This USB Wifi adapter seems to be a MEGA performer --Lovely finally to be able to THINK of getting rid of LAN cables all over the place.

I've no probs with decent HD Movie streaming from a SERVER with one of these (I unplugged the LAN and inserted the USB Wifi adapter into a USB3 slot --note this needs genuine USB3 to work at proper speed). My Home router can deliver 802.11ac so no probs there.

Brilliant piece of kit and NO MORE CABLES !!!!!!. Wifi will soon be able to deliver comparable speeds to LAN especially for HOME networks. !!!

Here's the UK Link but is available in US and Europe. In any case it's delivered (in my case) by Amazon S.A.R.L (Luxembourg) so no tax !!!. even though I ordered from UK web site --they will ship outside UK tax free.

Hi

I have a belkin F5D9630-4 wifi box with security set at wpa/wpa2-personal(psk) auth set at wpa2-psk and encryption set at tkip

My old laptop with xp home on it works great with the wifi all websites come up fast with no problems

With this new Acer Aspire 5315 laptop on vista home basic sp1 I am having problems with the wifi

It connects fine and brings up most web sites with out any problem but some web sites like hotmail, yahoo mail, bebo etc just will not load on the wifi. If I plug it in with the wire it works fine but not on wifi.

I have called belkin about it and they say its something to do with the vista setting ????

Does anyone have any idea what could be wrong

Thanks

A:Some websites will not work with belkin wifi

hmm seems to be a problem, might be your firewall being too high on the wifi connection. Secondly, belkin have a built in firewall so you dont really need a firewall on your system.

I want some websites to be prevented from being accessed on all the devices that are using my wifi router
I read the instruction to do so from the router's manufacturer's website here How to set up access control for website blocking on TP-LINK Wireless Router? - Welcome to TP-LINK

I tried hard but couldn't succeed in doing so because the instructions are really confusing at several places. For example at one place it asks me to enter ip range for something. I want some website abc.com to be blocked for all the devices that use the router for all the time everyday forever. What steps should I follow?

A:Blocking websites through wifi router

At what point do you get stuck? You enter IP range of your network then you add domains to block and finally the times and then enable

So last night last night after using a service to get rid of malware I have no longer been able to connect to any websites.

I use a
Rosewill RNX-N180UBE Wireless Adapter
to connect to our wifi and no one else in my family is having the problem

I restarted my computer, I used http://www.selectrealsecurity.com/fix-internet-connection, I tried uninstalling the malware service, I installed SUPER Anti Spyware ran that removed all the problems it found,  but nothing so far has worked!

Unfortunately I at first thought google chrome was the problem so I uninstalled it and put the setup on a flash drive to reinstall it but you need internet access to install it still -_-

So I have internet Explorer and Firefox.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Hello,

I work in a company with a local network through which we also access the internet.
The network is password protected and only the network admin can access individual computer data over the network but I want to block this admin from having access to my files.
Inotherwords he should have access to my hard drive over the network even though he has the password.

A:Block network administrator

Welcome to Seven Forums,

This won't be a possible request. The Network Admin is in charge of your company network so he has all the permission to take control of your network. Having said that, I'm afraid that this Forum does not provide assistance in circumventing network protocols.

A:Block network to 1 computer

Some routers include in their settings the ability to define the function of the reset button. It can often be deactivated. But there are still other ways to reset it.

The best idea may be to simply remove the router and/or modem (or whatever you use to connect) from his access, either by putting it near you or locking it up in something or somewhere.

However, technical solutions to what are ultimately problems of discipline and authority will always come up somewhat short. Is it really a good idea to teach someone that the only reason he has to follow a rule or face a responsibility is that he has not yet figured out some way to get around it?

Whose house is it? Is anyone in charge?

I need to block the network Administrator from accessing a folder on my hard drive from the network server. This folder has to remain on my hard drive as it needs to be accessessible to people via the network, and I can handle permissions for the users, but cannot figure out how to deny permission to the network Administrator either through the server or my PC. We thought it was not accessible to the network Administrator on the server, but turns out it is. It is a Windows 2000 server and the PC with the hard drive I need blocked is Windows NT. Strange situation but urgent!
Another part of this is that I want to move this folder from my pc to the server, and also need to know if there is a way to deny permission to the network administrator also on the server itself - maybe just give myself and my boss permission? How? Is this possible?

Hello,

Yes, you may block unwanted sites and restrict browsing hours from the router. Depending on the type of router that you have, some do have advanced features. Pls check out this link on how to set restrictions, including other ways too.
How to Block Websites | Restrict Internet Access

A Security/firewall device such as Sonicwall would do a lot more. The Content Filtering feature would be the best option for you. Of course this is just an option, it can be pricey.

Hope this helps.

I'm using Comodo and whenever I select scvhost.exe [812] and block it, the scvhost.exe [1004] gets blocked as well.

Extremely annoying because, the PID 1004 is required for my DNS to function... websites won't work right without it unless I type the IP address. [812] looks like some sort of Microsuck phone-home BS... whois has it registered to them. I have updates disabled so they need to get off my stuff!

hi i want to block certain sites from my computer and the others on the network through one computer using the admin privileges i have how can i do this.

A:Block a site on my computer network

Using ICS:
Code:
modem==[B]Primary[/B] computer===router---other PCs
the firewall on the Primary will control access of other devices, but it's a pain to configure AND the Primary must be running for anything else to have Internet Service (including even simple email).

the more typical layout
Code:
modem===router --- All devices
is far more practical but only the common router is available for access controls and
with the average home-router, it is limited in the number of keywords or urls that can be managed.

Each PC could have its own system32\drivers\etc\hosts file and block access with
a line per site (meaning everything at a given domain) like

Code:
127.0.0.1 blocked_domain_name
but then you need to update all PCs with every change and recycle the DNS on each machine usingipconfig /flushdns
net stop "dns client"
net start "dns client"while effective, this technique is all-or-nothing, ie all users are denied uniformily

I didn't know where to post this but I wanted to document it for anybody else who might cmd.exe/regedit.exe network block + crash encounter it Around this morning my Internet went down That cmd.exe/regedit.exe crash + network block was unusual so I tried to open a command prompt which kept crashing explorer After searching the Internet I found http www bleepingcomputer com forums t google-redirects-cmdexe-and-regedit-crash-explorerexe -- but that wasn't my exact problem I didn't have the offending file specified and that post didn't talk about network blocking which was happening both on my wired and wireless interfaces while my Mac on the network could connect fine Renaming cmd exe to xyz exe worked it wouldn't crash however renaming regedit exe to zyx exe didn't help -- it still closed after about seconds just like it had before Within those seconds that regedit stayed open I exported the drivers tree like the above thread suggests There I found this entry aux C WINDOWS system bqnn bbs That looked odd to me because who puts an extra directory with a unless they were trying to mask the location I tried deleting bqnn bss which was in c windows and rebooted It reappeared Went to a friend's house to download HijackThis because my connectivity was being blocked and used the tool to delete the bqnn bbs file on reboot as prescribed in the above thread It worked and I am now posting from my repaired computer And now you know how to fix it if the same happens to you Thanks -Nate

I am not sure if this is a hardware issue, a software issue or a settings issue. I have a sky broadband router that works fine with my other wifi computers. I have not used my Acer Aspire One for a couple of years and when I tried to use it today it seemed to have difficulty connecting to Ebay and Google websites for some reason. Has anybody else had a similar problem, or can you help anyway?

Currently have a Cisco Linksys EA3500 Smart Wi-Fi wireless router. Is there a possible way to prevent a computer or device to connect to the network, without making it obvious? Like to make it seem like there is an issue with the computer. Do not want to hide SSID, or block internet access. I've tried blocking internet access, but it displays on the computer that the internet has been blocked, which makes it obvious.

I have a computer on my network I would like to use for media streaming. I would like to block all incoming/outgoing internet traffic and keep all network traffic on this computer local. Is this even possible? Can I also easily restore it if necessary? The computer is running Windows 7.

I have two network cards that connect to two different networks. The first network only should communicate with the computers on the local network and the second should be used to connect to the internet.

How do I force the computer to use a given NIC for internet access and the other for local file sharing etc?

A:Block NIC from internet access but not local network

Instead of two nics for access to different networks and functions, would it be easier to have just one nic if you could find something that restricted all network traffic allowed in/.out of the NIC so it would only talk to networks you want and use remote services you want, etc.

Would that fill the need? You need one NIC and a firewall.

Since I changed the security parameters to my Linksys Wireless Router so my grandson could log in while visiting me on his laptop. I can't seem to be able to access my other computer on my home network. Enclosed is an "ipconfig/all" screenshot to help you understand my problem. I need to access my printer on my other printer which I was able to do prior to playing around with my router. All the diagnostics say more or less the same thing. They can "see" the computer but it isn't responding......

Anyway, please help me.

Thank you,

Kent G. Bailey

A:Can my Linksys Router block access to my network

The only real problem I'm seeing with the ipconfig is that the DNS is showing up as a LAN IP address in the 192.168.x.x. range rather than an actual DNS server IP. I'm not sure why this invalid DNS is showing up but it's not right.

If you think the router is somehow blocking anything then resetting the router should clear that up.

Hi All,

For my business I'm looking to set up free internet access for my customers. I am looking for a simple way to block/filter any illegal activity that customers could use the internet access for. I am hoping to block the following:

Illegal media content download (torrents, websites which provide filehost links to movies to download)
Mp3 music download sites (i.e mp3 skull).

Is there any software available that will cover this all for me rather than having to filter individual websites?

many thanks

A:How To Block P2p Downloading From Limewire? Because Its Eating Bandwith In Our Network

maybe this needs further clarification but is this a too -obvious solution? what is preventing you from simply uninstalling limewire ?OR are you suggesting that you have an infection on the computer that is automatically grabbing unwanted downloads of ANYTHING?

Okay, usually when you hover over the networks listed and available from the taskbar icon, you get a nice little window with a few helpful tidbits of info for each listed network when you mouse action hover over the names. It tells you the encryption type, and the SSID, plus a few other details.

Well, on my computer, the information is appearing behind the list to where I can't read it. The network list is overlapping on top of the hover info. Talk about annoying. I searched for various things on google, with no luck. I tried:

Windows 7 network list obscuring hover details, and various other combinations to no avail. Anyone here have a clue what might be breaking this? I'd like the hover details to appear properly so I can read it. In the meantime I've installed the free version of Acrylic Wifi to work around the issue. Thanks.

A:Wifi Network info/details appearing behind Network List on hover.

The problem must be driver based or an add-on program because I don't get any of that. All I get is the name and whether it's connected or not. Check that your adaptor driver is up to date and/or the program you use to display the data is up to date.

Forgot to mention:
Dell adds "bloatware" to their PCs to "improve the user's experience" so I would check Dell Support for your specific model and look for updates.

...phone lines can be bundled together and joined thru 110 or 66 blocks...

basicly this is direct connection between wires just like connecting bunch of speaker wires together...

can a computer network work with this setup without requiring hub to join the connections...knowing that there would be problems if multi-computers request "data" at the same time... but to what extend... how bad will it be to connect all wired computers...

i am prewiring my preconstruction home and wondering if i can go "cheaper" way wiring 14 rooms without getting 4-4 port hubs.

thanks

PS what other problems i should know about....

THANK YOU

I'm building a subscription wifi network for our area.

Cisco Aironet 1550 series: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/wireless/ps5679/ps11451/data_sheet_c78-641373.html
Proxim Orinocor series: http://www.proxim.com/products/enterprise-wireless-lan-wi-fi-mesh/orinocor-wi-fi-mesh-series

The Proxim seems like the better product, and sells for a bit less.

Will I need to purchase anything else besides several of these for the network? I'm assuming the 'home' router connects to a PC (or the PC via the gateway address) for managing the network.

Thanks allot for your insight.

Is there a way to setup network profiles or something so that when I bring my Surface Pro to work and connect to the wireless network there it will use the static ip address I have but when I disconnect and then connect to my home wifi it will go back to DHCP? On my MacBook Pro I can go into the network settings and change the location profile I have setup for networks but I don't see anything like this for Windows 8.

A:Specific network settings based on wifi network

You can go into IPv4 Properties of this NIC, then you can use the Alternate configuration tab to set up the alternate IP, or use the Advanced tab to add a static IP/gateway/DNS etc. to TCP/IP.

Sorry if this has already been discussed. Couldn't find on a search.

I have a small secured network in my office with a modem/router networking three computers wirelessly. I would like to add another router that would allow clients in the waiting room of my office to have internet access. Could you assist me in a setup or map? I already have a wireless Linksys router available to use as the second router.

Thank You

A:Adding Wifi Network to an Already Secured Network

Are those in the waiting room to be allowed into OR forbidden access to your Lan systems?

You already have

Code:
modem---router----your.lan.systems
to Isolate the W.R from your lan, connect

Code:

modem---router----your.lan.systems (assumed 192.168.1.x or 0.x)
|
+---new router (new channel+ssid+no encryption)
set LAN addresses and DHCP for 192.168.10.x

add firewall rule to ALL your existing LAN systems to deny src address range=192.168.10.0 thru 10.255

Hi,

Two different devices, both only able to connect to Facebook and sometimes google.
Also unable to run updates on Windows Defender/Update.
Devices are fine on other networks.

Error message: No data received
- Able to ping websites.
- If I connect one device through VPN I can access everything.
- I have rebooted, flushed DNS, reset winsock entries, wireless network adapter - no fix

Am now updating the VPN machine, will check later on that one? Any suggestions?

Hi there
i am looking for software the routes different websites to different network devices

i have tethered my phone to my computer for Facebook at work, witch is blocked, and the work internet for everything else, how do i route Facebook to go through my phone and other stuff to go through the work net, automatically, without having to connect and disconnect network devices

thanks, bdman32

A:how do i route different websites to different network devices

I don't you can really do that...the closest you can come to a solution would be to use a web proxy or VPN software to go around the Facebook block and access it through your work Internet. Mind you, if they discover a VPN connection they won't be happy at all - so I'm not actually suggesting you do this.

Hi I m usually able to find answers for any problems I encounter on here without needing to register on the Redirecting computers on network all websites and ask a question myself but I m having trouble with this one - I am in an office with computers Both of them suffer with the same problem which appears to be some kind of virus Essentially when I click on a link usually from google results I am re-directed onto a different random Redirecting websites on all computers on the network page If I open the link in a new tab I can click back until I reach my intended page but it is annoying that I have to do this and more of a concern is the reason why it is happening and what implications it might have that I don t know about The websites are various things sometimes as inocuous as eBay occasionally porn but more often than not websites such as google analytics adclicks gossipcenter etc - I have run MalwareBytes and also have Norton installed but nothing stops it - I purchased a third computer and have just connected to the internet To check the net worked I went to google did a search clicked on a link and lo and behold it got redirected to eBay The fact that this is a new computer and already it is happening makes me think that the virus malware is getting in earlier in the chain rather than hitting the individual PCs but my knowledge of this kind of thing is not good enough to know what to do Please help I m not really a computer expert I can carry out tests and return results but don t ask me to start interpreting codes logs or anything Thanks Tom
